◇ First of all this boy is absolutely autistic. My little autistic ass acted so much like him as a kid, I mean, what autistic 12 year old wouldn't base their entire summer around a weird book full of monsters they found?

◇ I think he's a trans dude and aro/ace, and that his crush on Wendy was more comphet than anything. I'm not really a fan of any ship involving him but I think platonic dipcifica could be cute.

◇ Cryptozoology/The Paranormal is absolutely his main special interest, but he also has an sp/in in computers/comp sci (but he's honestly not great at computer stuff).

Mabel

◇ AuDHD Queen! I think her main special interest is absolutely arts / crafts, I mean look at all the silly things she makes throughout the series as well as her dedication to handmaking dozens of puppets/props/etc as well as writing and entire play to impress her crush of the week in Sock Opera. ◇ I think sexuality wise she's not straight but prefers to be unlabelled. I also like to think she's the type to collect xenogenders / neopronouns like pokemon cards. ( she totally uses a bunch of cat-based pronouns) ◇ Shortly after the series I think she'd get a little less Boys-Crazy and focus more exploring who she is as a person / her self expression. Absolutely is gonna have a mall goth/emo/scene phase (she's smushing all three of those together into one thing for herself).

(I also think Mabel and Dipper were born identical twins)

Grunkle Stan

◇ Also AuDHD, not quite sure what his big main special interest would be but he's absolutely hyperfixated on Ducktective. Also going off the story in Lost Legends I think he'd absolutely be getting into making comics / drawing in general (even if hes not great at it). Post series I think he'd spend a lot of his free time out at sea drawing in the boat's cabin. Mostly making comics of silly re-tellings of he and Ford's adventures out at Sea (he absolutely shows Dipper and Mabel these if he and Ford video calls them when they're on land) ◇ I'm a transfem Stanley truther. He doesn't really realize/come to terms with it until post-series. I think she'd just grow out her hair and throw it in a pony-tail + use she/he pronouns to transition. She'd still use the name Stanley and be fine with both masc/fem terms (ie fine be called a man or a woman). Also he's bisexual (but has known this since he was like a teen, even if he didn't have the words to label it.) ◇ I think his Popsicle addiction from the unaired pilot is real and canon. Old autistic men love popsicles just look at my dad and grandfather.

◇ Transmasc, somewhere under the nonbinary umbrella but very guy adjacent. Mainly uses he/him pronouns but I think he'd use "it" and "they" aswell. Gay and Arospec as well. ◇ Autism + NPD + Schizophrenia wombo combo. He's sooooo NPD coded its INSANE, I am going to write an essay about it in the future. Goes without saying that his special interests are the paranormal and various sciences, but I think he has a hardcore love for the arts as well. ◇ Going off both the autism and arospec HC- I think he's the type to convince himself he has a crush very easily, when in reality he just has a strong admiration / platonic love for those in question, and had strong platonic feelings for McGucket back in college that he confused for romantic ones (projecting 100000000%) (i think the Stan twins were fraternal twins)

Had a phase where I was super into birds (never really got over that phase lol, THERE IS A REASON MY RP CHARACTER IS NAMED QUILL AND HAS 2 BIRD POKEMON) and I learned a lot about corvids. Little bastards gossip, and I love them for that. Can't feed them because then they tell their friends and now you've got a bunch of crows asking for food. You also can't make them angry because they tell their friends, and they remeber faces, so now you've got a bunch of angry crows at you for the next coming years. They also play, which shows a level of intelligence (though I argue that we shouldn't judge an animals intelligence by human standard. Then again, that's what I'm doing rn...). They even name their caretakers, and that's so cute!

I haven't seen many corvids in my life, but I have 2 stories about them! The first one is when my mom was driving me to school and we drive through a forest to get there. It was early morning, and I saw two avens chasing away an owl (those birds have generational beef). I almost made my mom crash because I screamed out of excitement because I rarely see ravens and it was also my first time seeing a wild owl (It doesn't matter, but I think it was an Easter Screech Owl). The second is from my sister's dorm. She has a crow that comes by every morning at 6AM to scream on the pole next to her dorm. We named him Dawnathan because it's his favorite time of the day to scream. I love Dawnathan.

♡ i wouldn't say steven is also selectively mute per se, but he doesn't talk often unless emotional* or with someone he's comfy with, probably. very stoic and straightforward. due to this, he definitely doesn't mind that you don't talk much - you two probably just bask in eachothers presence wordlessly a lot... but when he hears your voice for the first time, it's a pleasant surprise regardless.

*( RE: strangled... and doors open lol. although those are probably bad examples since its a lot of him going like "MIKI!!!! MIKI!!! GRAAAHHHHHH I HATE PEOPLE GRR WHERES MY MIKI!!!" and also him saying numbers for some reason. which i feel is attributed to bad/stereotypical 'pasta writing so i usually don't consider that part of him, at least for the default current-time steven i write ( which is after all of his pastas and where hes essentially just very tired and depressed and antisocial and doesn't hurt people unless threatened or feeling a need to. my interp of steven was probably more manic in his younger years, which is the implication anyways ). he had an emo phase where he wanted to kill everyone then got over it partially its fine. i put this in an asterisk because i didnt wanna clog the headcanon LMAO )

♡ he's also... somewhat agoraphobic i'd say? but more in the "I fucking hate doing this" rather than the "I am so scared of doing this" way. obviously due to his reputation as Pallet Town cryptid, even if it's been so long that people've probably moved or forgotten him he'll never let his guard down in public. due to this, he's majorly inconvenienced by having to go outside ever which is the reason why he usually stays put in his weirdly large home in the abandoned side of pallet. he also doesn't see reason for going other places much, so you won't have much trouble with him dragging you to places or anything. the comfort of his admittedly worn-down home is enough for him.

♡ also if for some reason you don't like pokemon, or at least wild pokemon, take him with you in the tall grass. it's like having a living repel. realistically, they'd probably just avoid steven and pay attention to you, but it's funnier if he was just like. an anti-pokemon forcefield.

♡ nowadays he also has a low social battery in general, is very moodswingy as seen in literally everything he's in, and is also socially awkward and doesn't like to talk with strangers as much as he used to - which even in his prime, was more of strangers talking at him while he nodded. he's more of a listener. due to this he'll happily listen to you if you feel comfortable talking to him, and he'll nod or hum or make little noises to indicate he's still listening.

♡ the fact that you don't like people watching you is a little troubling to him, because steven, intentionally or not tends to sort of stalk and stare at you from afar. no matter where you go in his home, you usually feel like you are being watched... at least, that's what the barely remaining rumors of him say. he's overprotective over his loved ones, which is an obvious sign of that ( which worsened after the two... incidents ), but he'll try to get better about it around you. mostly, by announcing his presence or trying to make it obvious instead of wordlessly staring at you after silently opening a door or something.

♡ alternatively, if someone is watching you, or even just making eyecontact, steven will basically tell them to fuck off, usually nonverbally ( aka: glaring at people who look at you the wrong way or who look at you too long in general ). this might be More anxiety-inducing for his partner because you probably don't want him to cause trouble or anything, but he's overprotective and also sort of hates being out in the open nowadays too so its a natural defense mechanism along with his overprotectiveness towards you mixing. if you talk to him about it and have a problem w/ it though he'll get a little huffy but will ultimately try to focus on making you comfortable instead of making people who make you uncomfortable feel threatened.

♡ his general aura is still sort of brooding and sometimes threatening though and he's also tall as fuck so he doesn't even have to really put effort into scaring people to leave the two of you alone. they just mostly don't talk to you if stevens around you because he's just... threatening. he has an Aura to him im telling u.

♡ he'll usually hold your hand tight to sort of try and ground/comfort you if you two have to go anywhere publically. he'll try to get over his general dislike of going anywhere publically just to help you whenever you have to go places, if you do. ( he's usually also trying to wear a "disguise" which just means like... a black hoodie w the hood up barely disguising anything. he doesn't have much else lmao ). he'll also literally go out to places himself if you really don't want to. don't wanna go grocery shopping but need to but you are deathly afraid of going at that moment? he'll just throw on his ""disguise"" and go to the nearest pokemart or mall or something. begrudgingly, sure, but it's always worth it for you. just... just make sure to tell him what to get ( or do ) otherwise he'll return with way too little or way too much.

♡ otherwise, if you don't have any reason to go outside and are also afraid of open or crowded spaces, steven is happy to just stay home with you constantly. it may be a little depressing but he's been staying home for years and years at this point. plus, it's less lonely with you around now. you make him feel comfortable, and so he'll do everything to make you feel similar in return.

♡ i like to think the both of you get better with talking, but mostly just with each other. steven doesn't talk a lot so his voice is a little raspy, hoarse ( almost all of the time when he talked a lot is when he's like angry or screaming or crying in the pokepastas lmao ), and sorta quiet, but he gets better the more he talks to you. the two of you probably don't talk often though, being able to communicate well enough with gestures, expressions, that sort of thing. he does enjoy your conversations when you do talk to him though.

♡ he'll also compliment your voice and say that you sound nice and things like that. not to intentionally try to make you talk more, since he's all for your comfort, its just always a pleasant surprise to hear your voice to him, genuinely.

♡ i'm going to project onto reader bc im also selectively mute (??? i think thats what you'd call it) where i barely talk in public unless i literally have to or w/e. so, steven and you not talking much to strangers causes a bit of an issue if anyone asks you a question or tries to talk to you. steven will try to respond for you if it seems you aren't up for it but obviously, he's not a mindreader. he'll usually just shoo whoevers trying to talk to you two off, if neither of you know them. he'll always look at you a bit first to give you time to respond if you want to, and if you don't he'll try to do it for you based on just like. a guess. of course this means a lot of possible miscommunication esp since steven prefers to tell people he doesn't care about ( most people ) to go away, but it works out well enough.

♡ he also does sort of like surprising or scaring people, but he lets up on it for you when he realizes that you probably react badly to that sorta thing. he'll always make his presence known before he hugs you or kisses you or anything, and will also ask consent a lot more. mostly by opening his arms out or just pointing at his lips and tilting his head, cuz he doesn't want to talk much. he's really trying to be thoughtful and caring around you and it shows! he's trying rlly hard <3

♡ ... he probably is concerned of how you'd react to miki, so he tries to not keep her out around you. he'll usually take her outside if he needs to tend to her or anything. a part of him says you deserve to die if you didn't like miki ( his intrusive thoughts / s!3v3n / missingno / whatever you wanna call it rearing its head ), but he's lived long enough to probably go "yk what its sort of fair for people to be afraid of my fucked up dead pet." Only slightly though, he'll still get angry at you if you're like mean or rude to miki if you ever saw her.

♡ if you r fine with her though he'll be surprised but that'll make things a hell of a lot more convenient, since a lot of his day-to-day modern life is just 50% lazing around and barely taking care of himself or doing things arnd his house and 50% taking care of and tending to miki.

♡ miki as said in other hcs is like a pet that is rlly curious and constantly follows you so . Hopefully you aren't scared by her if steven lets her out. if you are she'll feel bad abt it and will whine </3

♡ i think he'd like to try and help you with your issues slightly by like... taking a lot of strolls during the nighttime. it's what he prefers since he's less visible and less people are there to possibly recognize him, and what you'd probably prefer since less people are out. he'll take routes with less people on it intentionally and just look up at the stars and the moon as he walks with your hand in his. it felt right. plus, nobody - pokemon or person - usually bothered you two anyways due to steven's presence, so you two just get to have some nice nighttime strolls. writing this made me think of the latios/latias soar nighttime version in the oras ost aurghghgh.. the soundtrack of u two having romantic casual nightstrolls &lt;3

♡ lots of your lazy days in will be spent cuddling on his couch in the living room or his bed. it's nice! plus he has rlly good hugs, at least after you tell him to stop gripping you so tight.

I'm going to vent a bit about it here then. I'm a bit flustered so hopefully it isn't all over the place. Over my life I've experienced a lot of cruelty, primarily at the hands of white cis women and men. I grew up in a town of 1,000 people and my graduating class was 32. I went to the same school my entire life. The area was predominantly white and I mean that in a "I can count on my fingers and toes the amount of POC I encountered in my life before 18" way. I was also born AFAB. It was very clear from a young age I wasn't "normal". I have preschool paperwork highlighting my very obvious autistic traits (playing alone, organization, and at one point I could see from one quarterly report to the other how I taught myself to mask a behavior the aids noted as an issue, etc). My first "best friend" was a boy from the Ukraine who no one wanted to befriend because everyone assumed his English wasn't good. I can't even tell you how his English was because I don't remember that. I just remember he didn't care that I was a little weird and liked "boy" stuff and wore boys clothes when I could cause he liked "girl" stuff.

The boy and girl stuff mentioned here are literally as simple as Pokemon and Britney Spears. We were bullied by our peers, family, and parents for just being children. The only female friend I had growing up that I chose myself was bullied for being indigenous, looking masculine, (I believe Shoshone/Cherokee but I was 9 and I can't recall now apologies) and liking "boy" stuff. She moved only a few years later. I did not have another female friend until my senior year in high school and big shocker that a few years ago she was diagnosed with autism alongside her son. I knew from age 12-14 roughly that I was trans. I thought I was a transman back then. This was pre-internet btw folks. I had NO IDEA wtf a trans person was or that it was even a real thing. I just felt like I wasn't a girl and I couldn't possibly be a girl, all because of how those around me treated me. I'm not saying every transman is just a traumatized cis woman, but I know for a fact for me and my personal situation, being told I looked like a boy, all the stuff I liked was for boys, just literally everything about me = well that is what boys do, not girls. I genuinely think in my case, that it impacted me psychologically in a way so deep it gave me a lot of mental health issues surrounding gender. I would go through phases of hyper performing femininity and hypersexuality to try and fit in. I developed a huge complex around my self worth and being desirable that still persists to this day. This is the part Twitter was angry about and wouldn't let anyone interact with. I'm now 34 and it's manifested in a new way since quarantine since I didn't have interaction with people outside of close friends for that entire time. I find myself with an intense fear of pretty cis women, particularly white women. It's a genuine uncontrollable fear response where my entire body starts trembling because I can't stand the thought of being perceived by them. I feel so lacking. I don't even fucking identify as a woman anymore either but I can't even describe the dread I feel about being near them. It isn't even their fault either. They can be the nicest in the world to me but societal pressure and the treatment of women, cis and trans alike, has caused me so much harm I'm actually actively searching for a new therapist to help with this issue. TERFS out here literally causing the issues they say are "plaguing women from being women". Like HUH? You're literally reinforcing stereotypes babes!!! The same stereotypes you say are misogynistic! You're the problem!!! I actually have surgery on Monday and I told my husband I'm more afraid at being perceived by the beautiful women in the clinic (it has an attached MedSpa, trust me, they're all flawless goddesses in there) than I am being awake for the actual surgery. I don't doubt I would still come out as trans (rn I identify vaguely as non-binary/transmasc) because I just don't really vibe with the concept of gender as a whole. I would have just probably figured out that those feelings weren't necessarily me wanting to be or actually being a man a lot sooner. My heart just hurts for Imane Khelif because I can't imagine if she legit is just a normal ass cis woman with higher testosterone how it must feel right now to be attacked like that. And if she is intersex, how much she probably faced a lot of similar treatment that I did growing up. At this point I'm just rambling, but it has all made me very very sad and just brought up a lot of trauma from my own life.

Oh my GOD I would literally pay to see the crew and their Pokémon teams drawn out, they all sound so cool!! Don’t worry I am just in my Pokémon phase rn bc of this new game so I just think that whole post was cool lol, I love the thought put into them. Rainhaze having a zorua (<3) I have a feeling that might mean something hmm, a trickster pokemon who is know to take different appearances, an interesting one for a guy like rainhaze to have. Maybe a representation of him having a darker, unknown side to him, the guy everyone knows him as being a front, an “illusion” if you will. Or maybe he just likes zorua and there is no deeper meaning whatsoever. Haha.

I was here to make another ask but it’s very unrelated to pokemon so I’ll do it separately, so I’ll leave this w a contribution to the Pokémon thing. Beeface and Plumstripe both are very into finding shiny Pokémon bc ooo elusiveness and rarity, the two are always competing w eachother to see who can find one first or the fastest for bragging right. Like “haha sister I found this slightly off colored garchomp I’m so much better than you.”

Now I'm not not saying my commissions are open for a PATFW Pokemon team, but

I love Pokemon so much! I love it!! I did specifically choose all the members of each team for specific reasons including Rainhaze's, heehoo :)

Beeface and Plumstripe DEFINITELY have shiny related competitions. I don't even think they would catch them, just take selfies after criting the Pokemon and post them on Instagram with a petty tag to the other person.

Bleh lmao don't say Pat is Gen X! Tbh, I've been thinking about how technically I've written them to be a little younger than me rn in both my canons, so they're firmly Gen Z, which means their kids are in some far future i can't even conceive of 🤣

Achilles was definitely the selfie kid (for B&R, once he came out of his dark phase at 13). Facebook to Instagram Prince, all the fun filters you used to have to download; he could cringe at all his old high school pics. Definitely was the guy who Planked and Gangnam Styled (and was really good at it, actually!)

Patroclus loved Vine. He really enjoys learning new information (and keeping up with his Vine era creators), so YouTube pre-all these damn ads-era was a thing too. Pokemon Go was a joy for him senior year of HS. (In B&R- Had a Drake phase, back when Drake was actually trying (he was in his ANGSTY FEELINGS leave him alone))
