Went to go listen to Yuuri's theme (because the usual way I put him in the ground means I only ever get to listen to the ace card music instead of his theme ;v;), and, about the leitmotif,
according to the comments, Yuuya's isn't there, but Yuuto and Yuugo's are - assumedly because he actually had those two in him, but never had Yuuya (or, you know, it's because he's a big ol' foil to Yuuya in terms of how they duel)
#marwospeaking#He does have a vibe closest to Yuuto. but then also put up with Yuugo as a spirit companion before anyone else. so his theme connections..#.. to Yuuya are already thin. but if it is true (that Yuuya isn't referenced in Yuuri's theme. but the other two are). then I wonder.......#Though. thinking about it. Even though the second most friend-having Yuboy is Yuuto. he is still a loner who doesn't have many..#.. Yuugo only had Rin for the longest time. and sort of had Rin But Not. and Yuuri has/had no one (no matter how Dennis tries to spin it)#(which is sad to watch because you can tell he's trying to befriend Yuuri. who is oblivious to befriending attempts. so it fails)#So maybe the lack of leitmotif is a hold over from some Yuuya-based jealousy - in the same jealous vein as his feelings on Asuka#Someone popular. someone surrounded by adoring eyes. someone he couldn't be (and it wasn't necessarily his fault he couldn't)#(There are Leo-based factors in Yuuri's loneliness that form the backbone of his villainy)#Amazingly this doesn't really change what I thought was going on with Yuuri's character. so there's that too I guess#We'll see over the next few days (until bonfire night) how duel links handles/changes him#If I have thoughts on his theme interacting with VJ Yuuri's characterisation. I might make a separate post on it. maybe

Spoilers for Chapter 16!
Horrific, soulless eyes, but I would put a kid in him-

Chapter 16 is here and damn! The absolutle lore drop on this one was immense! It destroyed both my feelings, and my headcanons/stories for Huey, Rin and Eiden-
First off, Huey's design. At first I was hesitant, since I was pretty fond of his design in Rusted Nation, particularly attached to the mask. However, now that I am seeing the new design clearly, I think I like the new one better! I always imagined Huey having dead fish eyes, and the iridescent markings(? Scars? Cracks?) really pulled the whole design together.
Now for his backstory. I did have my suspiciouns that he wasn't human, but I didn't think he would be the living copy of God! While I had suspected him being connected to the whole God of Klein thing, this still came as a surprise.
After learning of what his existence is like, I can now understand why he was so distant and cold towards everything. The constant cycle of just dying and reviving, having your memories and emotions wipped each time...
In my opinion, Huey reminds me of a doll. Beautiful and enchanting, yet at the same time soulless and empty. His design, especially his eyes and the iridescent markings, just give me the impression of a doll. Which is fitting considering he is just a "copy" of God made by the elemental spirits, of course he wouldn't act completely human.
Honestly, the emptiness of his existence kind of makes me sad. Especially for his reasonings for creating Eiden and Rin. A lot of fans (including me) theorized that they're Huey split into two, and this chapter does confirm it! I wasn't expecting for Rin to pop out fully grown tho-
The way he described how he split the two is also interesting. With Eiden being "Pure Essence & Life Force", since that's the only way for him to actually get into the other world. While Rin had Huey's Memories, Magic, and the wish to lead a normal human life. At first it confused me, since I thought the wish would be more suited to Eiden's situation. Though the more I thought about it, it made me think. What were Huey's hopes for Rin? I don't think he had intended for Rin to just live his life watching Eiden, not with him having that wish. I think Huey hoped for both of them to live a life that he couldn't attain, a normal life for both of them.
I really like how the story is going with Rin as well! At first I considered him this ominous threat, now I see him as this pathetic wet thing. I like how his motivations were more defined here, and after seeing the empty life Huey had, I can understand why Rin was so adamant in making sure Eiden didn't end up that way (Even tho he was pretty violent with it oof). Also! More Rin and Clan interactions! It was adorable to see Garu come up to Rin, it was a sweet interactions and showcases just how out of touch Rin is. Then again, considering that he has Huey's memories, he wouldn't know how a "normal life" is like.
Auurgh, of course they end the chapter with a cliffhanger. Despite the previous interactions they have had before, it was sweet to see Eiden and Rin interact with each other towards the end. Especially with Eiden wanting Rin to have a purpose in life than just watching him. While I did kind of want for Rin to be the main villain before, but with how the story is going, I really hope that Rin can get his own happy ending and live a genuine life.

Can you tell me a little about the gardens of Tamir’Sul?
Why, of course! I love talking about the death realms!
To preface for anyone unfamiliar, The gardens is a place in the death realm of Tamir’sul which houses souls who died at unnatural times. This could be because of an interaction that wasn’t meant to happen, especially if they were murdered or made a choice that lead to their unnatural death. This also includes necromancers or people who try to live beyond their natural years. This realm is ruled by the goddess Schaeres.
If you left the world before you were meant to die, you only stay in Tamir’sul until your natural death was meant to occur, then you are taken to the regular death realm.
The Gardens
So the gardens are the part of Tamir’sul where honoured souls are placed. It’s a bit like the Greek Elysium but not necessarily good people, just honoured people.
The first thing you notice about the gardens is that they are beautiful. They are made up of hundreds of plants growing and shifting as they hang from structures or drape across archways. Imagine hanging gardens of Babylon, but brighter and more colourful, covering every section of the ground with some type of moss or flower.
Secondly you notice that these plants are not quite natural, they are imbued with magic to perfectly mimic life in a realm of all dead things. Their constant motion, (accelerated growth, swaying as if wind was blowing across them) is also propelled by magic.
The gardens are also suffused with music. While the rest of this realm is deathly quiet, soft lyre and string music plays quietly across the majority of the gardens. Tae’etsu (energy spirits) sometimes play or imbue instruments with energy to allow them to play themselves.
This is an area in my world that is not heavily explored in any of my stories but it is peaceful and the resting place for some of our heroes.
Notable people in the gardens include:
Rin. He won’t move to true death by request of Ezemhaziel, god of Ike (magic). Rin helped Ez create the first runes.
Paeliae of Myr was here for a while. Paeliae carried the treaty to the king of the dieral gods in the dissolution.
Andea Cohsi for a while, she has passed on now as the time of her natural death came. Cohsi discovered the Cohsi elements (a group of simple components) and also proposed the idea of magical decay for the first time.
Muliva Kazi, she has also passed. Kazi developed the godly bindings used in the dissolution.
Thanks for the ask, hope you enjoyed.

The Babies of the Family: Rin and Nanase
The last time I've spoken about Adler's Birth Order Theory was with Kiyora's middle child syndrome and Sae's success driven characteristics as the eldest child of the family.
Now, we're going to talk about the youngest or last born child of the family or in simpler terms, the youngest one in the set of siblings.
It's interesting to note that both of these characters, Rin and Nanase, are the youngest ones in their siblings. I've always thought they are inverted mirrors of each other. Different yet alike at the same time. Rin as a kid reminded me of Nanase who is charming and more free-spirited.
Adler suggests in his theory that youngest children tend to be outgoing, sociable and charming. However, they also feel overshadowed by their elder siblings which is known as the youngest child syndrome.
Rin has admired and idolized his older sibling, Sae since they were kids so he tried to emulate his mannerisms and characteristics because he looks up to him as a role model. It wasn't surprising to know that when they had a fallout during that one snowy scene when they met again after some years because he really took their disagreement to his heart. The youngest born can be seen as immature, dependent and self-centered as to what had Adler's theory had suggested and we are shown in this scene about Rin's weaknesses when it came to his older brother.
In another aspect, Nanase's characteristics in the franchise had been associated with friendly, outgoing, a risk taker but with a naive nature sometimes which we have seen on how he had interacted with the others such as with Hiori and Isagi and recently with Rin with a bolder yet riskier approach of offering himself as a pawn in exchange for being his mentee and increase his chances of survival in the program.
It's an interesting to note about their team up considering that they're of the same age and being the youngest ones in their family yet Rin also acts more authoritative with Nanase due to him emulating the characteristics of his older brother as a defense mechanism to the bad experiences he encountered with him back then.

(Same with the latest anonymous discussion) There's no need to be sorry! My gf and I approached fandom with our personal experiences and then somehow developed a connection to its story TOO MUCH but It's fun this way tho who cares?
100% agree at first, I didn't understand him but my gf, who loved Falin, tried to unpack Kabru's persona for me. And I just 'Oh...' sounds like this mf doesn't has anyone like his truest friend (with Rin is totally diff, he's a guy GUY towards her so much...poor Rin) and now I love this character so much. Mind you, the only thing I can relate to Kabru is the control freak?????? part of him too??????
One last thing before I shut up lol do you have any other fav duo/trio dynamic in this series which no romantic feeling between them? I thought Falin-Kabru's interaction would be fun. The way they treat people around them very well but also have something they're gatekeeping for themselves with their priority connection or their ideal relationship or Rin-Shuro they'd be embarrassed to see themselves in each other lmaooo
Also, hope everything is going well for you and your gf!
My exact same thoughts lmaooo after I read all his interactions with his own party... I'm like... "damn this guy is so friendless", my gf also said so. yeah, we can say he doesn't have a "true friend".
It's not like he doesn't have a rich social life, he has meaningful relationships with many people. He's just judgemental and distrustful, you can see in his relationship chart.
People always say something about Mithrun's relationship chart, "he only sees his own party members for their practical use." My guy, so is Kabru. His opinions of them are mostly "neutral" as he put them in a stereotype, sorting them into a box based on interactions and impressions. these answers are also kind of distant, like something he'd answer without actually thinking lol (like, Awwww rin :-) , Dia's cute, Holm is a spirit guy, Mickbell is a bitch, well Kuro is... a kobold)
and it's so funny, because yes he cares about them, he just don't think they'd understand him deeply so he put a distance between them, he's already decided how trustworthy these people are. But don't mistake that for him not being genuine, that's who he is when he's having fun, he just have a specific use of different friend circles. The party also knows him well as there's already a joke that they go "this fake ass bitch" every time they see Kabru approach strangers. At the end of the day, Kabru just don't think these people are really for him in a sense that he'd share his inner world to them.
Back to the question, I have a lot of other fav platonic dynamics in this series. So true... Falin-Kabru / Rin-Shuro would be so interesting to see. it's a shame that we don't get to see much about Falin, because yes she also has a rich intimate personality and values that she only keeps them to herself, so I really like her conclusion. I think Falin and Kabru can have a deep understanding talk with each other but they won't keep each other in their close friends list lol... Like, having that one talk and go back to your friend circles which don't overlap, that's beautiful...
one of my favorite platonic dynamics are Pattadol and Mithrun... and my gf once said that Mithrun has more friends than Kabru and that's so true lmao, I like that Pattadol genuinely cares about him that she cries when Mithrun is moving again and he also seems to like spending time with her in the modern AU. I also like Hien and Benichidori's interaction in the extras although it's a shame that we don't see much of Toshiro's party.
I also think Marcille and Kabru would be a great entertaining workplace friendship.
Actually, I think a lot about Kabru-Rin, I really like their relationship... Kabru is protective of her, she's one of the plot points which Kabru takes a duty to ensure safety to people he cares, it was assigned to him since he's a kid that he must comfort her. she is his first girl friend, so yeah I think he doesn't know better and he's immature towards her lol. imo Rin affected who Kabru is as a person, it's a meaningful relationship to him. but then I don't want to overestimate their romantic feeling because it's like... something that's already established to both of them that this is how it is and Rin knows it. She's also protective, she's very worried about him, the nagging comes from her own self preservation. and with someone like Kabru, that can make him feel trapped. He's stubborn in his own way and only listens when there is a reasoning presented to him. (like how Mithrun reflects to him that telling his story to Laios wouldn't work.) So like, yeah I think if they mature enough in the future, they can be a family to each other or drift apart to have their own life...
I'm yapping so muchh lol, thank you for the ask, I hope things are good to both you and your gf too! :D have a nice day

Hiori's words, Reo's Insecurity, and Nagi's Enforced Indifference
+ The Necessity of Communication and Despair
there's no need to read this prev post to understand this one, but it is a continuation/development of my thoughts in that post in many respects.
Hiori's Words
HIORI: "It's not about facing each other, and its no good if one side tries to match... it's a relationship where you can only believe in each other toward the same future. That feels good to me... I feel like I've found a new way to live... Thanks, Isagi-kun"
The newest chapter made me think about the Hidden Path post I made because Hiori's words on expectations really matched what I've been thinking about Nagi and Reo's partnership, and what their end dynamic might look like if it evolves to survive in Blue Lock and become an exception.
What Hiori says is "It's not about facing each other" (focusing on each other on the field), "and it's no good if one side tries to match" (trying to mold their playstyle to someone else). It's about "a relationship where you can only believe in each other towards the same future", - playing with the same goal in mind, no matter how you're playing. This reminds me of Nagi and Reo's dream. Of course, Hiori is referring to interactions with people in general, but I think we can apply this reasoning to partnerships in soccer.
How I interpret this is that the key to maintaining a partnership or duo within Blue Lock or soccer without dooming yourself is the partnership not being based on soccer, but rather existing outside the field as a motivator. This is because if the partnership exists within a soccer context, it bends your playstyle and stifles your potential.
For example, Rin/Sae's duo didn't work because it was based off of Sae being the first best striker and Rin being the 2nd. This created a vision that compared Rin to Sae, which affected Rin. Rin always had Sae in mind - wanting to copy him and comparing himself to him. Because he's supposed to be "2nd best" or "the one that foils Sae", he restricted his vision of what he could do by always "facing" Sae. Rin grew when he stopped focusing on narratives about him created by other people, and embraced his own individual style instead.
In terms of Bachira's dependence on Isagi, the visualization at hand was always a "monster" Bachira could pass to and alleviate his lonelines with. It took form in a way that dictates a playstyle that "matches" others.
Reo and Nagi's dream of winning the world cup together is inherently different because at its core it has no reference to the playstyle they should inhabit or even the dynamic that should take place. Even the emphasis on being together, Nagi takes to mean in goal/spirit, and not physically when he teams up with Isagi.
That doesn't mean, however, that their partnership as it exists is good. They dynamic right now is "facing each other" and "trying to match". But if we investigate the reasons why, we can see that the potential for their dream still exists, because the issue with their dynamic isn't their dream.
Reo's Insecurity
Reo's self proclaimed ego unfortunately matches and faces Nagi, but I think his perception of his role in their dream is subject to change, especially because the basis of Reo wanting Nagi to need him after their breakup, something that could be interpreted as an extension of "I will make Nagi the best striker in the world", seems to be Reo's insecurity in their friendship.

Reo directly states that he feels that if "I wasn't the one who changed you", then he "couldn't stay by your side". If he isn't the one driving Nagi's development, he can't justify their closeness. He later imagines a scenario where he accepts Nagi's independence, stating "If I said that, you'd never come back to me". In other words, if Nagi's soccer doesn't depend on Reo, Nagi will leave him.
You could argue that he's worried about Nagi abandoning their dream and not their relationship, but Reo ultimately seems to conflate the two. When he talks about his dream disappearing, he remembers things that are progressively less soccer related (from a goal celebration, to a piggyback ride after practice, to a bike ride completely off field), then admits loneliness at the thought.

This sentiment returns in the 3v3, where Reo ties winning the match and proving his worth to "Nagi will definitely come back to me". You can see the conflation as well when Reo compares his inability to let go of his "ego" with Barou. The panel shown is a goal celebration, like last time, and special emphasis is put on Reo's smile - it's the joy he felt being with Nagi that he can't let go of.
Nagi saying those words and turning away - this was exactly what Reo feared the most in the entire world. The treasure that he treated so dearly was heading somewhere he could no longer reach.
During the 2nd breakup in the novelization, Reo describes his greatest fear as Nagi leaving somewhere he could no longer reach. It's again the idea that if Reo isn't good enough, not useful enough to Nagi, that Nagi will abandon him and their dream.

The conflation of proving his worth with Nagi's companionship is seen again when Reo discovers the Chameleon technique. He describes the radiance of soccer idiots, picturing Nagi, then immediately afterward describes what he wants, picturing Nagi again.
And it makes sense that Reo would think this - besides Nagi's inept communication skills and own possible angsty complexes preventing him from expressing himself.
No, I'll create a winning track record and make them - my parents - recognize me. ...And the basic premise of this is my own ability. It should be fine if I become so good at soccer that others can't complain
In both Reo's Light Novel and Epinagi, we can see that his parents' acknowledgement is contingent on Reo being not just good, but exceptional. The maintenance of this relationship depends on his abilities and usefulness.
Reo must think the same of his relationship with Nagi - that Nagi's acknowledgement is dependent on Reo's abilities and utility.
Nagi's Enforced Indifference
Aren't tricks and pranks a pain? Count me out. I'd be happy to get candy, and if I don't I'd be sad but that's fine
PWC halloween dialogue from @mzk_70 on Twitter
Nagi has a habit of holding back his thoughts and feelings. And I don't just mean in a funny "shakes the devotion out so Reo can see it" way, I mean in a way where this is a real part of his character that affects his soccer and his relationship with Reo. To be honest, I'm not sure if "Enforced Indifference" is the right phrasing but its the best I could come up with ("Pretend" Indifference doesn't seem right because when Nagi suppresses his emotions he ends up not being conscious of them sometimes. Its dream doping adjacent due to the accepted helplessness, but not quite the same thing...) I and I hope what I mean gets across.
----
Light Novel
In his light novel, he claims to not need a passion and want to "enjoy life" by creating a situation where he can work as little as possible. But, it's fairly clear that doing so little with his life is killing him inside, making him "tired of living anymore". The way he's so grateful for Reo giving him a passion shows that maybe he wanted one but just thought it was impossible and therefore something he should practice indifference toward.
A dream he could be really passionate about…… he couldn't imagine it at all. (Rather than dreaming like that……I want to enjoy life. Ha~ what a pain.) _______________________________ Earn money without overworking and tiring himself, retire as soon as possible, and stay in his game room…… Just as he envisioned such a future, he was shot dead. ... (Why do I get hungry…… If I don’t feel hungry, I wouldn't have to eat.) If you don't eat, you don't have to brush your teeth and you don't have to go to the toilet. ... Nagi was already tired of living anymore.
This can also be seen in how he treated the loneliness in his life. The same "game over" motif used when he envisioned his lazy future is used when Nagi thinks he isn't lonely, a sign that he's in denial with regards to his own suffering. He's lonely, but ignores it.
In Nagi's case, it's not like he's lonely or wants to talk to someone. However, it is also a bother to forget how to speak out loud. Nope, if this society doesn't have a problem with it, it's fine. But surely it’s not. “......Ah, I’ve been shot.” The words "GAME OVER" appeared on the screen.
His loneliness is proven by how he gets Choki - intentionally buying a living creature, and immediately getting attached.
A communication partner should be at least a living thing.
He named it "Choki”*. It was a name he gave without thinking, but when you give a name to something, you get attached to it. That night, he said “Good night” to Choki.
We see this again when Nagi describes himself as weird and claims to be unbothered by his inability to endear himself to others.
In Nagi's case, rather than being a loner, he just liked to be alone, so he had no complaints about being treated as a weirdo. Even though he’s called a weirdo, he's having fun playing games, so he doesn’t mind. Above all, just as those around him thought he’s weird, he saw his classmates as "weird creatures."
But when Reo shows interest in him later, Nagi is hopeful (later happy when Reo says he's fun to be around). We can actually see enforced indifference at work when Reo first meets Nagi.
Something's making him so happy that his eyes are sparkling. Something's making him fired up... is it me? All his life, others have never been interested in him, but he's also never been interested in others. Even his cactus, Choki, doesn't talk to him either. "Let's play soccer!" Nope, don't wanna. It's a pain.
Nagi notices Reo's interest in him and has to remind himself that people don't have interest in him, and he's not interested in anyone. No one talks to him, and he doesn't want to do anything because life is a pain. Don't get your hopes up, remain indifferent. I don't think he's necessarily doing it on purpose, its probably just a defense mechanism that became an automatic reaction.
---
After We Met
Even after he meets Reo, we can see this enforced indifference when he gets fired up, then reverts back to his original state for seemingly no reason. When he gets tagged, he even gets the black smoke, but he reverts. When Reo first asks him to lend him his talent, his eyes shine, but then he goes blank again. When Ego challenges him, he seems a bit fired up, but easily agrees to leave.

He applies this to his relationship with Reo as well. There's hints of Nagi missing Reo, and when this happens, he seems to default to ignoring the feeling.

Even at their 2nd Breakup, the most emotionally stormy moment they have, Nagi does this. Looking at the translation of the novelization by @mzk_70 on twitter, we get insight into Nagi's thoughts.
Reo's words were like a nightmare. --- The day that Reo invited him to play soccer. The day that they arrived at Blue Lock. And the day that they swore to each other they would become the best in the world. Nagi was bitterly disappointed in Reo, who was acting like all those days were lies. "You're the one who's forgotten our promise." "..." Reo looked up at Nagi, shocked. "...I mean... just forget it..." Nagi turned his back, as if to erase Reo's figure from his sight. "You're a pain, Reo. I don't care anymore."
Here, Nagi is clearly feeling horrible, describing the situation as a nightmare. His response is to walk away from the situation "as if to erase Reo's figure from his sight", claiming that he doesn't care. Nagi doesn't succeed at being indifferent here, but he's sure trying.
This also fits with Ego calling him a "self-conscious bastard" and "afraid of getting hurt". It ultimately seems like Nagi is afraid of caring about certain things. Afraid of being hurt. We can see it with how in the egoist bible, nagi doesn't let Reo play his games because he thinks Reo will improve too fast and get bored, which made Reo a bit sad :( . The same reasoning didn't apply to Isagi, who Nagi let play games on his phone, because Isagi can't hurt Nagi like Reo can. We can also see this in how Nagi waited to the last minute to tell Reo his plan because he wanted to avoid seeing Reo mad at him.

This starts to change during Blue Lock. One form of evolution we can see is his goal celebration - an indication of expressing your desires and when you've reached them. At first, he doesn't really celebrate. Then, he pumps his fist, calling it cringe. Then, he's able to go all out.

"We also see this in how he treats Reo. Well, the very first step is Reo and their dream becoming the only thing he's worked toward, and his decision to care about Reo. However, he expresses this with shiny eyes and "you're not a pain". Then, he decides to start making an effort toward their shared goal, though he doesn't choose to verbalize the level of his devotion to Reo. Then after the Manshine Match, and Reo giving some hints that he can't mindread, Nagi openly expresses his gratitude. Something Reo thinks is out of character and unusual of him. We can also see this in how shameless Nagi is in the voice guide script, set after Manshine.

Nagi's journey is far from done, though. there are still certain things he won't tell Reo. For example, he easily agrees to Reo's proposal of aiming for 300 million while thinking of how they were when they first met. Nagi doesn't seem enthusiastic about this goal, and I think on some level he knows it won't motivate him, but he doesn't say anything, perhaps scared of losing Reo again?

Reo then tells him to continue to be himself to aim for the top, but from Episode Nagi, we know that Nagi knows that in order to achieve that goal, he needs to change. His lil "..." and dead eyes prove to me that Nagi has reservations that he's not voicing. Instead, he allows his train of thought to be overshadowed (like the bottles) by Reo's logic, allowing their pattern of awful communication to continue despite the improvement.
Because expressing his wants wholeheartedly is difficult, and risky, and vulnerable, and he's never had to do that before.. Also, the one time he took the most initiative resulted in the destruction of his most important relationship. It's better to deny himself agency....
Communication and Despair
So, Reo and Nagi's partnership has the potential to be functional, but its hindered by their dependence on each other due to external factors. Reo's insecure because he thinks Nagi's partnership is dependent on Reo's utility to Nagi. This causes Reo to frame himself as Nagi's tool in becoming the best. Nagi depends on Reo's initiative because Nagi's still not expressing himself and he's denying himself agency due to not wanting to be vulnerable, causing him to lack initiative himself.
Reo
Reo's issue could be solved in 2 ways. 1). Permanent separation from Nagi, which I think is unlikely for meta reasons. 2). Communication with Nagi, so that he can understand that Nagi's friendship is not conditional. I'm not sure what the journey would look like from there, as its bound to not be that simple, but I do think this first step is key.
Nagi
Nagi's issue is different. His issue is wholeheartedly wanting things, linked actually to his current lack of sustained motivation (beating Isagi being fleeting motivation that dissipated once he scored that goal). He needs to allow himself to find and chase his ego. This ego is hinted to be linked to Reo/their dream
(The runner up theory in my opinion is the idea that his ego is to challenge strong players, but with how his motivation to defeat Isagi dissipated, and how its hinted to be a surface level "false" ego in the linked theory, and the timings of the skull's appearance, I don't personally buy it. Esp with how Nagi cites their dream dying in how Isagi sparked his motivation).
One possibility is that the dream he has with Reo will be challenged by a new rival, but that already happened with Isagi - It got put in danger - and although it worked in getting Nagi motivated, it was only on a superficial level. Nagi started blindly looking to play strong players, while not actually understanding his "deep" ego.
Another possibility is that the dream is challenged by Reo himself. I have difficulty imagining Reo leaving Nagi on purpose, but a miscommunication could occur where Nagi thinks Reo is leaving him for good (when maybe Reo really means for the both of them to improve, the reverse of before) But based off of Nagi's interpretation of their 2nd breakup in the LN, ie, Reo implying that their whole relationship was a lie, as well as the distant way they act afterwards and how Nagi says "I know" to Reo's "This has nothing to do with me", this miscommunication already happened!
I've been implying that Nagi needs to despair.
Isagi beating him didn't give him despair, but rather frustration. (despair-lite, you could say...). I actually recently found an interesting thread on that that someone wrote.
But I haven't stopped to consider that maybe Nagi did despair.
This will age either well or poorly in the next couple of days with the release of Episode Nagi chapter 17 - But given that Nagi's feelings after the 2nd breakup were never defined, what if it was despair? We never see his expression, but its described as a nightmare that nagi decided to erase from his view. What if Nagi despaired and dream doped?

When he reflects on that moment, he doesn't seem to accept his own agency. Rather than engraving the despair like Reo did in the 1st breakup to "win" Reo back, he accepts what Reo says, "You were probably right about me..."
But if you think about it, this makes no sense as a genuine reflection on the situation. What Reo told him is "You've changed. How could yo forget our promise to become the best in the world together?". Nagi may have shown change in the moment he left Reo, but not because he had forgotten their promise.
Nagi then goes on to "Hope" that Reo forgives me, somehow (against logic) - AGAIN contrasted to Reo's "I'll make you say you need me". He accepted the situation as an inevitable result of his newfound interest in soccer, then clung onto the "hope" that Reo comes back to him instead of acting to make it happen

This matches Ego's description very well. Nagi's acceptance of what Reo said as inevitable is a lack of admission of failure. Nagi's hope represents a "Dream that was supposed to come true" that then existed "just for the sake of being chased".
What this establishes is that losing Reo and their dream has the capability to make Nagi despair, whereas being beaten by a strong player can make Nagi feel frustration, but not necessarily despair (despair is probably still possible if it jeapardizes his dream). So far, Nagi has avoided dream doping frustration, but not despair. But Nagi has grown and changed, and he's starting to allow himself more drive.
_______ So___________
For Nagi to want wholeheartedly, he has to despair to realize that its necessary. Some circumstance has to put him and Reo's dream in real danger, and when he realizes this danger, he has to avoid dream doping this time and evolve.
Ah and to bring this back to what I said about Reo, once Nagi obtains sustained, verbalized motivation connected to their dream of winning the world cup, I don't think he would let Reo treat himself as a tool for Nagi's goals. And then Reo might feel rejected, prompting an opportunity for communication that goes well this time. Or if Nagi's despair came from a push/rejection from Reo, Nagi might meet that push by taking action to chase him + take more soccer initiative, plus communicate to even out their dynamic and in that address Reo's insecurity. maybe.

hello neutual (new mutual). the idea of your MMJ -> Niigo genreswap is eating at my brain . I'm incredibly interested
;; hello neutual!!!!
;; is this an invitation to infodump? im taking this as an invitation to infodump :3
;; more more jump! the anonymous music circle who's members hide away from the public.
;; jist of everything is that minori "rinrin" starts composing to improve her abilities in idol auditions (don't question it), then (in order) airi "riri" gets roped in as the mv maker, then shizuku "rook" as the artist and after a whole lotta plot and sekai shenanigans, haruka "ruka" as the lyricist.
;; their personalities and whatnot are mostly the same. minori is super energetic and hopeful, for all except three hours of the day where she's the opposite (luckily she's usually asleep), haruka is haruka except sleep deprived and the guilt complex is worse, talking to airi is a 50/50 on whether she'll glare at you or walk away and shizuku... we'll get to that.
;; their sekai is the fairytale sekai and it's basically a massive forest, except for the one massive clearing that has a stage. except the stage is not in good condition..
;; each vocaloid is based off of a different fairytale thing. miku (princess) and luka (witch) are their starting vocaloids, but (in order) rin (some sorta forest spirit-esque thing) shows up in colour of myself, meiko (mythical creature tamer) shows up in you deserve it! break time!, kaito (royalty) shows up for worldwide wander and len (also some sorta forest spirit-esque thing) shows up at some other point that i haven't decided.
;; the order of events is slightly shuffled, only because colour of myself needs to be first. because colour of myself is the "shizuku quit your job" event. did i mention that she didn't quit during the main story? yeah she never gets the push she needs to quit and stays there. -> because the cloverdamned turning point quote is haruai
;; which leads back to the "and shizuku... we'll get to that." comment. yeah she's not doing well. she's been balancing work and these meetings (one of which she enjoys and finds comfort in. hint: it isn't the one involving her groupmates who hate her) so she's stressed, dealing with perfectionism and all that.
;; at some point in colour of myself, minori gets really sick and shizuku is very iffy about it. (her and rin were witness to minori starting her "sekai research", part one of which was to eat plants in the sekai. something bad happened.) that's the most random fact anyway continuing on
;; minori solves her problems in every event by getting a whole lot of sugar in her system, acting like 'normal' then sugar crashing at about four am. which is when she sleeps for three hours or just cries for no discernable reason. then she repeats this at seven am.
;; group relationship wise is funny because. minori is more chill about being in a group with the other three (having worked out their identities way before they all worked out each others and having time to process that).
;; so minoharu is along the lines of "ruka-chan responds to my kindness with trust issues. what do i do"
;; minoai is airi daring minori to do dumb stuff and minori doing it then airi getting incredibly concerned as she injures herself in more and more unhinged ways
;; and minoshizu is "[says anything]" "yeah, same".
;; haruai are attempting to murder each other at any given point. i would be joking but one of their first interactions (that ive written) in sekai is: "oh are you not gonna say hello to your groupmate momoi?" "go fuck yourself." "id rather not."
;; harushizu are looking at each other's situations and going "at least mine isn't that bad". <- they are both bad in different ways
;; shizuai is shizuai. airi is the main encourager for shizuku getting out of cheerful*days and shizuku is the number one fan of airi.
;; all of them are clingy, in very different ways. minori just needs to be able to hear them over call or see them and she's happy. shizuku will just grab onto people (airi or minori usually). airi and haruka act like they aren't clingy but panic if they haven't heard anything from one of their groupmates in a day.
;; this au is where the minoshizu part of this fic came from!
#project sekai#minori hanasato#haruka kiritani#airi momoi#shizuku hinomori#im so sorry this went on for so long#this au is silly and thats all i'll say#oh and yes. in meiko's first appearance in you deserve it! break time! she has (magic) penguins with her#cloverclub

Fruits Basket Personality Types Part 7: Haru

Haru is a tricky character for me to figure out! I'll admit, he's the first in this series for whom I don't already have a strong sense of where he might fall! I'm going to do my best to figure out where he might fall.
Hatsuharu Sohma's Enneagram
Wound: Haru was often called "stupid" and mocked by other Sohmas as a child, and his mother is vain and not particularly present or nurturing.
Wounding message: You are stupid, and will always be stupid because you're the Ox. People will laugh at you when you're inevitably tricked again.
Core desire: To forge his own path, to be given a chance to prove himself, to be seen for who he really is, for his loved ones to be safe and taken care of.
Core fear: That the people he loves will be hurt.
Defense mechanism: Aggression (Dark Haru)
Strengths: Haru is compassionate, relationship-oriented, kind, a defender of those weaker than him, sees the best in people, understands people well, and deeply loving.
Challenges: Haru can be aggressive, spacey, stubborn, contrary, competitive, and has a quick trigger to anger.
When healthy: Haru takes quick and decisive action to protect the people he loves and his kind heart is obvious.
When unhealthy: Haru can be out of control and violent.
Looking at all of this, here's what resonates when I go back to the Enneagram post:
Wound: could be 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9
Wounding message: could be 6, 7, or 8
Core desire: could be 2, 3, 4, 8, or 9
Core fear: 8
Defense mechanism: 8
Strengths: 2, 6, 8, or 9
Challenges: 8 or 9
When healthy: 3 or 8
When unhealthy: 2, 7, or 8
So, I wasn't expecting 8 to be where I landed for Haru at all! I suspected 2 or 6, or possibly 9, since the Haru we see is so relationship-oriented.
But I think we actually see Haru at his healthiest through most of the series. Yes, we do see Dark Haru a few times, and he has a particularly hard time when Rin's safety is in question, but his first interaction with Yuki showed him a different way of looking at his childhood wound. He's not stupid just because other people said so.
Eights go to Two when they're healthy. I think this is why Haru seems like a healthy Two so much of the time.
But when we look at the ways he shows his care for others, it's not in a way that makes them dependent on him, and it's not with the aim of becoming central in their lives. It's with the aim of protecting them, usually from Akito, though sometimes from others (like the overzealous President Takei).
So, I see Haru as an Enneagram 8.
From Truity:
Eights are defined by their desire to be powerful and to avoid any vulnerability. They present a confident, assertive, and decisive image to others. Eights can be argumentative and intimidating; it is important to them to stand up for what they believe in and to protect those who are weaker than themselves.
Eights live in the Gut center, and tend to overexpress anger, which I think is true of Haru before his first interaction with Yuki.
Wing
My analysis above has me thinking that Haru is an 8w9.
The Enneagram Institute refers to 8w7s as "The Maverick," and 8w9s as "The Bear." I don't totally know what is meant by "The Bear," but I do think "The Maverick" could well describe Haru, since he can be so contrarian.
Truity describes the wings like this:
8w7: The Eight wing Seven type is an Eight who shares many characteristics with the Type Seven. This type is energetic, enthusiastic and may appear more combative than other Eights. 8w9: The Eight wing Nine type is an Eight who has similar features as the Type Nine Peacemaker. They are confident, calm, and generally more patient than other Eights.
To me, the descriptor of 8w9 suits Haru better than 8w7. Maybe "The Bear" describes the way bears are usually harmless unless you threaten one of their cubs? That would fit Haru quite well.
Subtype
I think Haru is clearly a SE 8w9. His Challenger spirit is most visible when the people he loves are threatened (especially Rin, Yuki, and Momiji).
Enneagram Explained describes SE (they call them SX) Eights like this:
SX 8s have a strong rebellious nature and like to command the attention of everyone. They focus on having possession of the environment around them. These 8s are the ore provocative and have a stronger desire for intensity than the other 8s.
Tritype
Before looking at the Tritype descriptions, I suspect Haru is 2-6-8, the Rescuer/Hero. Here's the description from Katherine Fauvre's website:
If you are a 268, you are caring, supportive and protective. You want to be helpful, engaging, and straightforward. You are playful, provocative, and outspoken with a sense of bravado. You want to be in charge of your world but tend to focus on others and what is needed. You are attracted to the noble cause. You are the “every man or woman” who will fight the “good fight” for the greater good. You may be uncertain at times but will instantly challenge what is unjust or step up to shield others from harm.
Hatsuharu Sohma's MBTI
E vs. I: I'd guess Haru is I, but I'm not totally certain. He seems to direct a lot of his thinking outward, but he also has a rich inner world.
S vs. N: Haru tends to focus on concrete information in his immediate environment, so I see him as Sensing.
T vs. F: Haru is strongly F, with people and values at the center of his decision-making.
J vs. P: Haru is strongly P, preferring to stay open-ended and flexible (unless someone he loves is in danger).
Type Dynamics: Without working out what an ISFP's type dynamics are (since that's my most likely guess for Haru), I see Haru's Type Dynamics as Fi Se Ni Te.
Fi: Haru is deeply empathetic and has a strong sense of justice, which he tries to live up to in his own actions.
Se: Haru acts on the concrete information in the world around him, and trusts in his present experience.
Ni: Haru relies and acts on his inner insights, which can be hard for others to understand.
Te: Haru has little tolerance for logical inconsistencies (like the school dress code)
Fi Se Ni Te is the type dynamic of ISFP!
Here's how the Myers & Briggs Foundation describes ISFP:
ISFP: Quiet, friendly, sensitive, and kind. Enjoy the present moment, what's going on around them. Like to have their own space and to work within their own time frame. Loyal and committed to their values and to people who are important to them. Dislike disagreements and conflicts; don't force their opinions or values on others.
I think that last line is true as long as Dark Haru hasn't been triggered. Otherwise, it sounds just like him!
ISFPs are often referred to as "The Composer" or "The Adventurer." Truity says about ISFPs:
ISFPs are gentle caretakers who live in the present moment and enjoy their surroundings with cheerful, low-key enthusiasm. They are flexible and spontaneous, and like to go with the flow to enjoy what life has to offer. ISFPs are quiet and unassuming, and may be hard to get to know. However, to those who know them well, the ISFP is warm and friendly, eager to share in life's many experiences. ISFPs have a strong aesthetic sense and seek out beauty in their surroundings. They are attuned to sensory experience, and often have a natural talent for the arts. ISFPs especially excel at manipulating objects, and may wield creative tools like paintbrushes and sculptor's knives with great mastery.
So, to summarize:
Enneagram: SE 8w9 (The Challenger/The Bear)
Tritype: 2-6-8 (The Rescuer/Hero)
MBTI: ISFP (The Composer/The Adventurer)
I think this captures a lot about Haru; his usually mild nature, his hot temper when someone he loves is threatened, his interest in the arts and loyalty to those he loves. I'm pleasantly surprised with how secure I feel in these types for Haru!
What do you think? Did I get it right or wrong? I'd love to hear your thoughts!
Next up: Kisa!

Rin: When I die I want Cannoneer to lower me into my grave so they can let me down one last time.

Note
Time for a bit of angst: in an AU where Madara raises Obito but Rin still dies, how do they interact after the event?
Oooh; now this is very interesting!
~~
!!! TW: Mental Health and PTSD !!!
I'd like to assume that in this AU, Obito does not give his Sharingan to Kakashi. And if we're looking at an AU where Madara doesn't not fall for the Curse of Darkness and resides in Konoha in which he raises Obito, then we're going to be looking at Madara dealing with the destruction of Obito's spirit and dealing with a lifetime of trauma.
The truth is, Madara understands Obito the most, especially as an Uchiha. So he would definitely be worried that Obito would potentially succumb to the curse and turn into someone unrecognizable.
The bright atmosphere that Obito usually brings to their home is gone, replaced with nothing but a heavy shroud of sadness and despair, and the house is just suffocated with the weight of sorrow.
Obito does not speak. Does not eat. Does not even acknowledge Madara's presence. He's just isolated in his room, staring blankly at the wall or at Rin's picture.
Madara would feel as though he's looking straight into the window of his own past when Izuna was killed.
At night time, when Madara checks to see if Obito is asleep, he only sees him silently crying at night, whimpering Rin's name.
Obito would sometimes sneak out at night, but of course, Madara is alert and calls out his name, but Obito would coldly say, "Fuck off, old man. Leave me alone." and he vanishes. Madara does not take that lightly, and follows Obito, only to find him in the cemetery, curled up on Rin's grave.
One night, he hears thrashing and screaming, and Madara rushes only to find Obito locked in a nightmare, screaming Rin's name, and Madara needed to hold him down until he calms down and wakes up. When Obito is conscious again, he becomes aware of that Madara is holding him and breaks out of his hold.
"LET GO OF ME!" Obito would scream and moves towards the other side of the room, clutching onto his head as he could still hear the sounds of that tragic event.
"Obito. It's alright. It's only me." Madara would chide, and take one step forward. Obito would be incredibly reactive and reflexive, whipping out a kunai and projecting it towards Madara.
Madara's unfazed, and he continues to approach. "Go away! I fucking said go away!" Here, Madara's eyes would widen when he notices the very familiar gleam of the Sharingan, and that the tomoe were twisted into a pinwheel pattern.
Madara would then approach Obito and grab his head to look at him straight in the eyes. "You've awakened it. Your Mangekyou Sharingan."
Obito would be trembling as his tears flow, and he'd smack Madara's hands away, then fall to his knees and grab onto his hair, shaking his head as he shouts out, "I can't stop! I can't stop seeing it! I can't stop seeing her!"
Madara would remain composed, but his hands would curl into a fist as he watches Obito let out his pain. "I couldn't save her! I couldn't do anything! She didn't deserve to die!" As he heard those words, Madara would reminisce his younger brother, Izuna. Madara, too, had known the heart-wrenching pain of losing someone dear, and the connection with Obito's grief resonated deeply within him.
Madara would then do something uncharacteristic, which is fall onto his knees and hold Obito tightly to him.
"You're not alone." He'd whisper, and Obito, overwhelmed by his emotions, collapsed into Madara's arms, wailing in anguish.
Even after that, Obito would still isolate himself from everyone. He doesn't talk to his friends for months, not even Kakashi. His interaction with Minato is short, cold, and minimal, and the only person he'd talk to is Madara, who would always be taking care of him, hoping that he could heal the boy who lost the light of his life.

Long overdue final ebg post (lmao) bc I need to get this out of my system...
Tag for all the posts/storyline
Art by the amazing lovely precious cutie Aine @/ainescribe
First of all I want to thank @i23kazu immensely for allowing me to participate pls I was SO unsure at first haha and she absolutely killed it with the interactions, the lil side project, the prompts, the scores tally... it's just so much work, kudos to you Ying fr!! It was a super fun game.
Shoutout to my besties/mutuals
@silentmoths @ainescribe thank you for your lil asks I love seeing your characters aaaaaaaa 💕
@floraldresvi @moraxsthrone and all the anons I got, your sabotages here and in discord were brutal omg Vi you almost made my cry //pos bc I wanted to react/respond to Li's messages 🥺 EVERY SINGLE TIME ghgnhgnghgn and NOT KEL MAKING MY GIRL HAVE A WET DREAM/SPICY MEMORY TYVM 💕 the way I had to contain myself hELP I loved it svcgavscgvsjgacbkackl
@meimeimeirin you also sabotaged me a lot, meanie //pos I loved SO MUCH your asks/little stories aaaaaa thank you for engaging so much when I know you're super busy 🥺 it def made my day everytime, ty for bringing the girl home and solving my silly lil mystery hehe 💕
@kurikurikurisu GIIIIIRL it's so funny to me that we kinda started interacting more on the last ebg for Rin and then I was like "she's a cool person I wanna fren.... 👉🏻👈🏻 but I shy...." took my sweet time to invite you to the server and turns out THIS ebg got us closer (I think? ehe?//hit) we didn't interact much in tumblr with each other's plots but bOY were we emotional support in discord, we really were in this suffering together 🤝🏻 mhm //nods nods 🤣 thank you so much for being interested in my lil silly plot and my girl aaaaaa
As for the "plot" and other things... (this got so long I am so sorryy;;;)
Well at first I wanted to do kinda a normal ebg, no plot or anything bc I don't think I have the smarts to do an elaborate game/story lmao and I kinda wanted to have more established s/i lore?? And then I realized hey I can use the ebg to introduce my s/i!!!
See I'd been working SO hard on her names lately, researching and studying in-game adepti lore and stuff and I though why don't I make it a simple game where the goal is to guess her name (with me giving hints ofc) and at the very start I had the idea of her losing her memories so she could re-discover/remember things about herself alongside the "players" learning them. Whoever character I got as my bias would help her and get to know her too along the way, even npcs (or in the rare case of me getting Dottore/Pantalone, probs be the villain for her memory loss lmao)
And then I got Kazuha. And it was so SO perfect. I took inspiration from Spirited Away with the plot point of having your name/memories/identity stolen and for some reason I remembered the whole Ino-shika-cho koi-koi card combo from Summer Wars I just had this vivid mental image of a scene where Kazuha dropped the biggest hint by writing the Kanji for Butterfly (Chō) which doubles ofc as the Hanzi for Butterfly/Crystalfly (Dié) written the same pronounced (and romanized) differently :3c
I was very proud of myself//hit also
I did not end up making haiku bc they are complicated but I at least tried to loosely keep/emulate the 3 phrases, phonetic rhyme and sensory elements while referencing my lil plot lmao
✧˖Originally I was gonna blame it on a playful tanuki or smth but I don't think they're powerful enough youkai lmao it was probably a kitsune.... we may never know ✧˖She was technically never in any danger yeah but imagine being lost with no memories and no way to know if you could get them back even because every person she met kept telling her they didn't know ofc she'd break down, or at least me, I'm very crybaby and neurotic sometimes//HIT ✧˖Yes this entire thing was technically Zhongli's fault since he did write her a letter addressed 亲爱的晶蝶 ("My dear Crystalfly/Jingdie") and that IS her name woops on a random note I kinda imagine he also signs with something like 你的龙 "Your Dragon" and vice versa with Crys ("My dear Dragon/your Crystalfly") sgcvgajsvcjhacbajkca //squeals kicks feets
And all this started because I was stressing over the fact that "Crys" is not an appropriate name for a Liyue character lmao, I debated for so long giving her a chinese name, but I didn't want to further make her an OC I wanted her to represent me/my blog (also part of me was and still is immensely worried I somehow insult cn ppl by being as some sort of weeabo equivalent or that I am "appropriating culture" or idk I may be dumb but I try to do my research and I prommy it does not come from a place of malice or anything I genuinely love genshin and Li and it's got me interested in a culture/country I funnily enough have somehow interacted with and have friends in but never really paid that much attention to ig...) and then I just had the epiphany What if I just reverse engineer and name her Crystalfly in cn? Lore would be that either her name got accidentally translated in documents a long long time ago and ppl started calling ehr Crystalfly/Crys and she rolled with it or she simply adopted the translation/nickname as her name for international settings, keeping her true name more private (hidden in plain sight tbh) p sure the only ones who know are the elder adepti (Ganyu/Xiao included) and Neuvillette (once he told her his real/first name) (ironically Crys may be harder to pronounce i other languages lmaoooo rip Fontaine)
Anyway this got way too long lmao sorrryyyyyyyy thank you everyone kith kith love y'all bye!! 💕
#crys plays ebg#final post aaaaaa this was all so satisfyinga nd fun and such a roller coaster dshvhsjdbvhsbvks#crys lore#new tag aaayyyy//HIT#I will spam more in the future but not too much I prommy#I gotta go back to writing soon I'm itching hhhhhhh#ty everyone ilu all <3#crys yaps

SALLY SHIPS AND WANTED RELATIONS OFF THE TOP OF MY HEAD (I will add into this with stuff I forget)
SALLY AND OTHER GHOSTS, does not need to be inherently romantic but can be if a partner wants it to be! Either with burning hatred or a really, almost uncharacteristically gentle demeanour. Sally is never ‘eh,’ when it comes to the matter of spirits. You either oppose her and stand as a threat to the flock of lost spirits she cares for, or you will soon join them as one of their numbers! Either way I want Sally to be in both positions! BRING OUT HER WEIRD GHOST EMOTIONS!!!
SALLY AND A PARTNER: more in the broad sense but Sally doesn’t love in a… typical manner. And I’d love to explore the spooky dynamics of her in a relationship with another being: dead like her or alive! ESPECIALLY if it involves a lot of growing pains on either side which leads to character growth or regression!
SALLY AND ANDREW, this is the most out there but at some point I’d kill to have Sally and her deceased husband interact, either prior to his death or when they found each other again in the afterlife… which left Sally killing him because she refused to accept her Andrew would be anything less than in love with her after everything. BUT STILL!!! THE ANGST!!!
Sally X Huntress is a big ship I’m a fan of! I think the gals would be very adorable together, at least until Sally learns that their shared trauma of losing children isn’t shared in the typical sense and that Anna’s been killing her kid’s families, stealing them and then losing them to disease and hypothermia! After that there’s some rich room for angst, or we could just avoid that entirely!!!
Sally x Artist could be interesting! I’ve seen art of it around and a couple of morbid gals at least bonding together over art wouldn’t be remiss! Even if it never gets beyond platonic!
I THINK SALLY AND ADIRIS WOULD BE REALLY CUTE NGL, I don’t have any justification but I think Sally SHOULD clean and dress her wounds lovingly!
I THINK SALLY COULD AND SHOULD BE PUT AROUND HAPPY FAMILIES, not in the sense of her destroying them but rather destroying her. I think she should feel anguish for what she wants and guilt for feeling dissatisfied with the flock of ghosts she’s gathered. She doesn’t want them afterall, she wants her family with Andrew, but she couldn’t have that. So she tried to set them (being herself and her patients) free from this world, but that didn’t work. So now she’s trying to combine the two and she feels incredibly numb and hurting for a comfort from something she’ll never have
GIVE SALLY KIDS AND ADULTS THAT NEED ADOPTING, GIVE HER PEOPLE SHE CAN ATTACH HERSELF TOO AND BE THE MOST MURDEROUS GUARDIAN ANGEL
SALLY AND DOCTOR MORALLY REPREHENSIBLE ADVENTURES!!! This is 99% for her Survivor Verse and exclusively platonic but I think they should overpower a killer and experiment on them to try and deduct ways to disable them in trials long enough to escape! Sally and Herman should be out here making the other survivors worry that their teammates are killers, even though they’ve never been anything friendly to them!
Personally, I do not see Sally romantically with Max or Phillip, per my understandings of the character and Trapper isn’t exactly into women! But hey! I’m willing to change per another persons portrayals and if they wanted to! I have some cute dynamic ideas too! Though they’re mostly plantonic!
I think Sally x Oni could be cute! Given they are both people stranded outside of any time period they understand or can relate to and are extremely isolated in that regard and can understand and provide sympathy to both the intense unease with the changing times around them; and also how those changing times have brought death to their livelihoods and any respect they had in the worlds they originated from! Plus plus, they’re both firmly subscribed to the ‘If anything happens to Rin I am slaughtering everyone in this realm,’

Stolen from @rixareth!
make a poll with five of your all-time favorite characters and then tag five people to do the same. see which character is everyone’s favorite
Steal this meme for yourself if you so choose.
This is tough for me, as I rarely have one overarching fave above all other characters. I like gen dynamics and tend to have favorite duos. In the spirit of the meme, I tried to pick favorite characters where not only do I love the characters themselves, but the plot elements they introduce and the interactions they have with others make me love them even more.

4 - Sakura
17 - Rin
23- Tsunade
Royalty au- Sakura
Sakura is A commoner who bugs Kakashi for weeks until he agree’s to take her on as an apprentice.
She’s wants to be a strong, dedicated knight capable of protecting the king and knows there are few other’s in the kingdom she could learn from.
As Kakashi’s Squire, Sakura spends most of her time at the Hatake residence and in contact with Shizune who teaches her all about poisonous plants and how best to use them.
She doesn’t get to spend nearly as much time around the king and queen as she thought she would as Kakashi’s squire, but the time she does spend near them is always fabtastic because Queen Rin practiclly glues herself to Sakura’s side and talks to her about a variety if topics while shoving books in her hand to read when Kakashi’s not actively training her.
Because of these interactions she becomes a lot more educated than even the standard knight and earns herself the annoyance of other knights who believe she’s not fit to be a knight.
Coffee Shop Au - Rin
Rin is the one who always walks down the street to the coffee shop to get all of the doctor’s and nurses mid day coffee order.
Some of them like to joke she’s doing it to get a chance to chit chat with Kakashi, but those are only the people who don’t know she and Kakashi are old friends and she’s not going to flirt with him, but to bug him endlessly about his love life while he does the same to her.
Her main order is a coffee with two cream and two sugar, but once a week she lets Kakashi make her whatever drink he chooses for her to try. Usually his special drinks come with a terrible job (like ‘this coffee is about half as sweet as you’ which she always chucks at because he’s such a dork.
The coffee shop is also her favorite place to take Shizune on a quiet date. She loves getting a little cake pop, which is Shizune’s favorite treat but she won’t admit it’s her favorite treat.
Fantasy au- Tsunade
Tsunade as a forest spirit always intrigued me since she is Hashirama’s granddaughter.
I love the idea of her hanging around the forest begrudgingly healing people who have lost their way and fallen ill/injured themselves. She doesn’t have fun with it, but she still does it because she doesn’t want people dying in her forest.
It’s also how she meets the mortal Yua, who looks far too beautiful for Tsunade to believe she’s a simple mortal, and is somehow more courageous than half of the gods she knows. She watched this woman face down a beast three times her size without flinching, and win (though it was a very close call that left Yua with scars across her face)
