Did and didn't forget about having this blog. I go through these phases of not wanting to visit Tumblr at all. July 28th marked one year since I first started playing Lust Doll Plus (the first nsfw RPG I ever played)!
I love the customization this game has with the content you see and how it's shown (ranging from if you want the major characters to be furries or not, to what fetishes you can encounter). It doesnt have music or animations but the dev still does a good job in worldbuilding.
Unfortunately my save is lost so I probably won't revisit the game in a meaningful way until it's more developed and/or on Steam.

soshiro hoshina x f!reader
Tumblr media
Hoshina finds himself in a precarious situation when his repeated use of the No. 10 suit sends his body into a rut, one that's only further exacerbated when you let yourself into his office without warning.
wc: 3.2k
c: 18+ only, friends to lovers, rut dynamics, breeding kink, oral sex (f & m!receiving), cum eating, squirting, unprotected p in v, creampies, too many creampies to count, copious amounts of cum, a ridiculous amount of orgasms, pussy drunk!hoshina, required horny suspension of disbelief, author takes great liberties with human biology
a/n: this one goes out to the two requests i received for hoshina + office, in addition to an older request for him in a rut!
SPICY SLEEPOVER — ROUND V
Tumblr media
There are three things Soshiro Hoshina promised himself when he was sworn into his position as Vice-Captain of the Third Division—
To give his life to the JAKDF.
To do everything within his power and abilities to ensure the safety and preparedness of each and every officer under his watch.
—and to never let himself get involved with a fellow officer.
…after all, sentimentality is a dangerous weapon to hang oneself with.
The third is the reason he’s currently staring at you with wide, panicked eyes as you step past the threshold of his locked office door, your brows furrowed as you point what appears to be a hairpin in his direction.
“You’ve been holed up in here for days, Soshiro,” you frown, your gaze tracking across the uncharacteristically messy state the room is currently in. Paperwork is left askew across the surface of his desk, a haphazard pile of blankets and pillows stacked on the couch, and an array of takeout food and drink containers is stacked precariously atop the filing cabinet.
Soshiro grips the edge of his desk, teeth grinding as he fights to ignore the surge of possessive, blinding heat that unfurls inside of him at the sound of his given name on your lips.
(It was an exception he was too weak to deny you, not when you’ve become the closest friend he’s ever had in the years since you joined the Defense Force.)
You begin to walk toward him, and his nostrils flare, chest heaving as the familiar, soft scents of your perfume and shampoo invade his senses, amplified like never before.
“S-stop,” he gasps, hunching forward, palms flat against the desk as he inhales sharply.
Your voice has an edge of panic to it as you stride closer. “Soshiro?”
He backs up, putting several more feet of space between the two of you, though the added proximity does little to quell the blazing fire your presence has ignited in his veins.
“I…there’s….,” his throat burns as he tries to talk, “…a side effect from Number 10.”
A rut, to be precise.
Biologically, it makes zero sense. There are no reported cases on file across the JAKDF of similar side effects as a result of kaiju weaponization. And Soshiro’s not even wearing the goddamn suit, he hasn’t been since he collapsed in the middle of the training grounds earlier in the week without warning.
But the medical team at the Third Division has since hypothesized that it’s a particular irregularity resulting from the repeated usage of the No. 10 suit which has simply tricked his body into believing it’s going into an animalistic rut, of sorts.
His cock has been achingly hard nearly round the clock all week, a thick and throbbing presence between his legs no matter how many times he brings himself to completion.
Mortifyingly, after the higher ups insisted on contacting Captain Gen Narumi of the First Division to see if he had any insight, the other man had nearly laughed himself out of his seat as he suggested Soshiro try “fucking it out of his system.”
And this is where your presence has now become a problem.
Deny it as he might, there’s a traitorous golden thread of sentimentality for you that runs deep in Soshiro’s veins, one that has nearly cost the team a mission on several occasions at times when he’s found himself too focused on your individual wellbeing on the battlefield.
He sees the way you look at him.
He feels the way his stupid, reckless heart throbs against his ribcage in your presence.
He knows what this could be—what the two of you could have. If only he was weak enough to bend to the will of his own desires.
But under the influence of the rut currently sinking its ruthless fangs into his better judgment, he’s a weak man.
He’s a weak, hungry, desperate man who wants to claim you as his.
Who wants to breed you, to fill you with his seed, to pump every last drop of cum he has left to give into the tight, slippery warmth of your cunt.
This is why he’s been avoiding you specifically, why he’s teetering on the frantic edge of panic as he feels his body’s visceral, uncontrollable reaction to your presence.
You sigh, expression softening. “I didn’t realize it was this bad.”
He stares at you in confusion and chokes out, “What?”
“Well…Captain Narumi called me to ask how you were doing, which threw me off. He didn’t go into much detail, but I…I got the gist of it.”
“That asshole…” Soshiro groans.
“I think he was trying to be nice, if you can believe that. But I just…I know you like thinking you have to shoulder every burden yourself, and you hate asking for help. And you’ve been ignoring all of my texts. So I’m here now to offer you whatever help you may need.”
Soshiro maneuvers himself behind the side of his desk, if only to hide the stiff erection currently tented at the front of his pants. “This…I don’t…this ain’t somethin’ you can help me with.”
Putting your hands on your hips, you huff. “You look like you’re barely keeping it together. And I…” you scratch the back of your head, looking a bit sheepish, “I may have done some research. On the internet.”
“Research?!”
“I mean, I know the mental gymnastics of applying the concept from animals to kaiju to humans isn’t exactly laying the groundwork for the next peer-reviewed scientific study…”
“Do ya even know what you’re saying?”
You sidestep around the barrier of the desk, and Soshiro backs up again, his shoulder blades hitting the wall, the obvious outline of his cock in his pants the least of his concerns now.
“I’m saying that your body probably isn’t going to revert back to normal until you satisfy the conditions of your rut.”
A subtle shiver runs through him. “I’ve tried,” he grumbles, looking off to the side.
“Oh?” you ask, an odd look crossing your face, one that he can’t quite read—but it makes something inside of him clench all the same.
“By myself, I mean,” he continues. “Many times, actually. S’not changing anything.”
“Because your body wants you to breed someone. Well, probably in the hypothetical sense, like just finishing inside of them…,” you reply, matter-of-factly. Like his cock isn’t threatening to thrash its way past his zipper at the sound of those words on your lips.
He inhales slowly, looking up at the ceiling for a moment before finding your gaze once more. “‘m not goin’ out and findin’ some random—“
“That’s why I’m here.”
“Excuse me?” Soshiro’s not sure he remembers how to breathe.
“Use me, breed me. Whatever it’s going to take to get you out of this room and back into commission.”
He’s going to lose his fucking mind.
“I can’t—“
“I trust you, Soshiro. I trust you more than anyone else. I don’t think you understand how much you mean to me. And I know you refuse to let yourself care about anyone enough to become a liability…but I’m here if you want me. If you’ll have me.”
Everything inside of Soshiro feels like it’s reaching a breaking point, a fever pitch. He takes one step toward you, and then another.
—and it’s almost excruciating, the distance that remains, every cell and fiber in his body helplessly, desperately drawn toward your gravitational pull.
“…also I…the contraceptive part is covered. So I won’t actually get pregnant. You can come inside of me as many times as you need to…”
Another step.
“…or as many times as you want to…”
He’s standing directly in front of you, his muscles tensing painfully as he begins to feel the warmth of your body heat.
“I locked myself in here to stay away from you,” he rasps.
Your face falls a fraction. “Am I that terrible of an option?”
“No.” He sidesteps, and you turn to face him, your backside leaning against his desk. “You were the only option I want.”
You blink, clearly a bit taken aback by the admission. “Then why didn’t you tell me? I feel like I’m not exactly subtle about my feelings…”
“Cause I don’t know if this is goin’ to stop if we do this. I don’t know what kinda side effects there might be afterward.”
“Are you trying to scare me off with the threat of a potential sex sabbatical if your boner doesn’t go down?”
He bites the inside of his lower lip. “I’m tryin’ to warn ya that I don’t know if we can go back to normal after this…it’s more than just sexual…there’s this possessive feeling eatin’ me alive whenever I so much as think about ya.”
You lean more of your weight back into the desk, letting one of your feet slide forward to nudge against Soshiro’s.
“You know just about everyone in the entire Defense Force already thinks we’re dating, right? Captain Narumi started crying laughing when I got into an argument with him over it.”
Soshiro’s self control is dangling by the edge of a frayed, treacherous rope.
“You really wanna do this?”
“I was already yours, Soshiro. Even if you weren’t ready to acknowledge it.”
A ragged exhale leaves him at that, every last piece of his desire falling at his feet and bursting into flames. And when you meet him halfway as his lips come crashing into yours, Soshiro knows there’s no turning back.
Distantly, Soshiro knows that if he were in the right state of mind, this would unfold in a far different manner. He’d settle down into his office chair, tugging you into his lap to kiss you soft and slow and languid.
He’d take his time, familiarizing himself with each dip and curve of your body. Every corner, every plane. Every little sound and reaction. He’d use his lips and his fingers first, until you’re pliant and sated under his touch.
He’d kiss the corner of your mouth and worship the very sight of you, tell you just how fucking terribly in love he is with you.
But you know him better than anyone else, and he you.
So when he gets out an, “I’m sorry,” between frantic, sloppy kisses as his hands fumble for the button of your pants—
When you gasp at the feeling of his fingers grazing your slit and bite down on his lower lip and moan into his open mouth, “Next time.”—
He knows you understand all that he wants to give you to, that this wasn’t how this was supposed to go. That you trust him and want him enough to let him fuck you through his rut like an animal moments after you’ve shared your first kiss.
Despite the unbearable ache of his cock, which only grows worse when you begin to palm him through his pants, Soshiro still manages one thing—one moment of pleasure that he’s fucking dreamed of giving you over and over again.
He has little regret for the way he swipes all of the paperwork off of his desk in one go before he sets you down on top of it, memos and unanswered letters the furthest thing from his mind when he finally has the taste of your cunt on his tongue. With your legs spread wide, he eats you out with reckless abandon, the heel of one hand shoved against his dick as he plunges two fingers of the other in and out of your dripping wet hole. The keening, needy sounds you make only fuel him further, your back arching up off of his desk as he thrusts his tongue into your tight channel, greedily lapping up every last drop of the arousal that’s slipping out of you.
“Oh my god, Soshiro,” you cry out, fingers scrambling for purchase and eventually coming to tangle in the dark violet locks of his hair.
When you come on his tongue, moaning and shaking as you roughly tug in his hair, it’s the most wonderful fucking sound Soshiro’s ever heard in his life. He groans when a searing wave of pleasure bursts inside of him, an unexpected orgasm filling his boxers with hot ropes of cum.
You hardly have time to recover before he’s carrying you over to the couch, setting you down in the messy nest of blankets and pillows strewn about on the wide cushions. But before he can do anything else, you’ve pushed him into a sitting position and shuffled around to kneel between his legs.
“Ya don’t have to…”
“Please.”
He can hardly deny you, especially not when he hears the satisfied sound that tips out past your lips when you slide down his pants and boxers to find the sticky mess of cum already coating his dick and balls.
His dick that’s already hard again.
“Did you come while you were—“
“Yeah,” he rasps, dragging a hand through his mussed hair.
You bite your lower lip. “Soshiro, that’s so hot.”
He doesn’t have a chance to come up with an eloquent response, because his entire body seizes up with pleasure as you lean forward and take his cum-covered cock into your mouth. Soshiro wonders how he’s ever going to recover from this—the sight of your kiss swollen lips smeared with filthy, sticky cum and saliva. As you lap it from his balls. As you suck every last drop off of him until he’s coming again right down your throat.
Soshiro thinks he’s going to climb on top of you when his cock stiffens once more, to stare down at you and press messy, hungry kisses to your lips as he thrusts inside of you.
But you’re adamant that you think he needs something else the first time, something more akin to the primal needs his body is succumbing to.
Soshiro knows you were right when he lines up his flushed, weeping cock with your slick, quivering entrance from behind while you lean forward on your hands and knees, the need in his body now burning hotter than ever before.
It takes exactly three thrusts inside the dizzingly tight, soaked warmth of your cunt for Soshiro to reach his next climax without warning, cum exploding from his cock as his hips violently stutter while he fucks his seed inside of you. It feels so good, he’s worried he might pass out, but his hips won’t stop rocking into the plush curves of your ass.
You whimper as you feel him fill you deeply, fingers digging into the blankets and couch cushions beneath you as your body rocks backward into him.
“More, Soshiro,” you beg. “I know you’re not done. I need more, too.”
Soshiro nearly growls as something desperate and feral unfurls like the crack of a whip inside of him, folding his body over yours and sinking his teeth into the soft juncture between your shoulder and your neck as his cock hardens again inside of the grip of your tight channel. You moan as he bites down, whining and gasping as you reach back to tangle your fingers in his hair.
Soshiro’s balls ache as the wet sound of skin slapping on skin fills the room, his throat dry and his muscles straining with the desire to pump you full of more cum.
“Harder, Soshiro,” you gasp, rocking backward to fuck yourself on his shaft.
He’s helpless to do anything but oblige as his hips begin to snap into yours at a brutal pace, his fervor only unraveling further when you shout as you squirt all over his hand right after he starts playing with your clit, your cunt rapidly spasming and contracting around his cock.
“Breed me, please,” you whine, gasping for air, your chest heaving.
He slams inside of you to the hilt as he comes hard, brokenly groaning in pleasure as the euphoric grip of your pussy milks the cum from his cock.
“Don’t stop,” you plead when he pulls out, feeling the way his cock is hard once more as it rests against your ass.
“S’ gonna make a mess,” he heaves, entranced by the load of cum dripping out of your cunt and sliding down the backs of your thighs.
You shiver when he runs two fingers through it, the sound dissolving into a moan when he gives in to the unexplainable urge to lean forward and lap some of his sloppy mess directly from your folds.
“Good,” you choke out.
It’s so fucking filthy—the amount of cum that slides out of you as he tries in vain to fuck it all back inside. The way you come again for him a third time from the feeling of the hot, sticky mess squelching inside of you as he murmurs against your ear, “Gonna fuck a baby into you. That what ya want?”
Soshiro’s so pussy drunk he can hardly think straight when he finally gets you where he really wants you—moaning into his mouth and dragging your hands through his hair as you straddle his lap on the couch. You alternate between riding his cock and letting him ease your pliant body up and down his length as he grips your hips, blazing a hot, open-mouthed trail of kisses along the curve of your jaw as he groans about how good you feel.
The state of the leather couch is a lost cause as you bounce up and down on his shaft, cum slipping from your cunt and coating the base of his cock in a creamy ring of fluid. Drenching his balls and his thighs as he fucks up into you harder, his seed sloshing around in your fucked out hole.
When he comes again, his head drops against the back of the couch as he tries to catch his breath, groaning as he watches a fresh wave of cum leak out of you with hooded eyes when you lift yourself off of his cock.
His still hard cock.
“Fuckin’ hell,” he sighs as it twitches with interest when you reach down and swipe your finger through the cum, licking it off slowly as you hold his gaze.
“One more,” you whisper, leaning forward to slot your lips with his.
You wrap your hands around Soshiro’s cum-covered cock, moaning softly as you rub your clit up against the firm base while you begin to stroke his length. It’s so intimate and sensual, the way your body presses up against his, the roll of his hips as he slowly twitches upward and fucks your fist before climaxing one last time.
Soshiro rouses from a deep, heavy sleep hours later, your head on his chest, your bodies tangled together in a pile of blankets on the couch. And he’s relieved to realize that he finally feels back to normal again. Albeit, every muscle in his body aches, and he doesn’t even want to begin to think about the mess the two of you left behind before passing out, but it’s a relief all the same.
When you snuggle up closer on his chest, he pulls you close and presses a kiss to the top of your head, whispering, “Mine,” into your hair.
“Is that still your dick talking?” you ask, tired and amused.
“Nah, just me,” he murmurs, lips curving upward in a content, relaxed smile.

ALL THE TIME IN THE WORLD - NANAMI KENTO
Tumblr media

Tumblr media
Refusals came first when it came to Kento.
“Ieiri can take care of it—”
Especially when it came to taking care of him.
“But I want to, Kento,” you say softly, burn kit prepared by you and Ieiri in hand, your fingers curling tighter around the handle, “I don’t want to push you to do something you’re uncomfortable with, but I want to help,” for all of the times that you couldn’t.
It has been a month since Shibuya. A month since Gojo had been sealed. A month since all hell had broken loose.
How has it only been a month?
And it had been only two weeks since Kento had been allowed home, to rest, allowed to be extracted from Shibuya from Shoko’s treatment area. His eye was unsalvageable — destroyed in that octopus special grade’s domain, and his body — burned severely by that volcano special grade. He would have to wear an eyepatch for the rest of his life. And reverse cursed technique only did so much, but they couldn’t heal burn marks.
Half of his body is wrapped in bandages — if you hadn’t been lucky enough to get Kento out of that situation with the curse you now knew as Mahito — you don’t know what could have happened.
You were lucky. Lucky to have found him after being split off. Lucky you knew how to get to Shoko quickly. Lucky that she was able to save him.
Luck. Luck. Luck.
Was this really luck? To make it out half burned and half alive? Was it luck that you saved him or would it have been kinder to leave him? But you couldn’t. You wouldn’t. You were selfish — you needed him, you wanted your future with him, you wanted him to live.
You couldn’t let him go. Not yet.
It wasn’t time. It wasn’t his time.
He only sighs at your words, “Okay,” he relents, sitting up on the bed.
“First we have to remove your bandages, and then I’m going to inspect the burns to make sure they haven’t been infected or—”
“You don’t have to tell me everything, sweetheart, I know what you have to do,” he says softly, and you swallow thickly, nodding.
Your fingers are gentle as you undo the bandages, first starting with his hand and arm, before moving to his shoulder, and then finally his face. Nasty raised burns marred his skin, raised and ruined marks that clawed over his smooth flesh. The marks ravaged half of his body — the other half he was barely able to protect with cursed energy.
You hid your frown as you looked at them — why was it him? That question kept replaying in your mind. It was pointless to ask. It was asking why tragedy struck one person rather than another — it was chance, it was happenstance, it was fate.
But you wished fate had chosen another — hell, you wished fate had chosen you.
Your hands are washed and gloved as you examine him for any signs of infection — discharge, abnormal discoloration, and the last sign — warmth, “I’m going to just check some areas of your skin for any warmth — okay?” and Kento nods, his gaze downward. Your fingers are gentle — a featherlight touch as you check, fingers tracing his hand and up his arm, across his shoulder blade and back, until you reach his neck and face. Your fingers end up caressing his face, cupping it as you stare at him.
He’s so beautiful.
Each scar is a reminder of how hard he fought — even against monsters beyond any of any sorcerer’s imaginations, defended his comrades, protected students, and somehow had never given up. Even when it would have been understandable to do so. He still stood on his two feet, unwavering in his determination to live — and it wasn’t even for himself. Sorcery was an individual sport, sure, but sorcerers pass the baton all the time, and they choose to fight for one another, as well as themselves — if only to make the next fight easier for their fellow sorcerers. And you knew he was fighting, fighting to come home to you.
How did you ever get so lucky?
“I understand,” Kento says, drawing you from your reverie, “I understand if you feel differently about my appearance — it will be harder for me to be mobile, the burns could constrict me and my eye as well. I understand even, even if it changes how you feel,” his tone was forced evenness, but he couldn’t hide the slight waver from you — Kento only ever wavered when it came to himself.
You pause for a moment, “It does change how I feel,” and his eye slides to meet yours, hardened and accepting, “it makes me only love you more,” and Kento blinks, ocean blues filled with water, “Kento, these scars, your injuries, they show how much you fought to come back to me — how much you fought to protect our students — how much you sacrificed just to keep fighting,” your voice cracks, “how could I ever see you as less than for that? I love you so much, Kento — I just wish I could have done more for you,”
His fingers find yours, curling around them, “Done more? You saved my life—”
“Did you want to be saved?” and your question makes him pause, and your words tumble out of you, a confession you never wanted to make, “Yuji heard you — heard you say how tired you were — asking yourself if you’ve done enough, did I just put you in more pain by making you stay—”
And he’s covering your mouth gently with his palm, making you stop, your tears streaming across his knuckles as you cried, “I never wanted to stop fighting to come home to you. I’m grateful you saved me,” he said softly, “every moment of pain is worth it, worth it because I get to be here with you. I get to have more time with you, with Itadori, with Ino, with everyone else,” he gives a terse chuckle, “I am tired, tired of jujutsu, tired of risking my life, tired of seeing those I love risk my life — but I came back for a reason, and I came back for you,” his lips curl into a smile, “and you, I could never be tired of.”
You can’t stop crying now, tears falling from your eyes, as you wipe them, “I’m going to have to change my gloves now,” and he laughs, pressing a kiss to your gloved hand.
“Change them, I’ll be here,” and you have to hold yourself back from hugging him — you need to put his ointments and lotions on and then bandage him up, and then — then you could hug him. But for now you settled with pressing a kiss to his cheek, and then cupping it.
“I love you,” and you didn’t know, but he knew, he knew then, more than ever, that he wanted to marry you. And he would ask — but not now.
So he smiles instead, “I know, I love you too.”
Tumblr media
“We’re going to be late!” you wait outside, arms crossed, “Kento?”
“Don’t worry, we’re here,” and he’s stepping out, daughter in his arms, as you raise an eyebrow, “Mio wanted me to carry her.”
“You’re going to spoil her rotten,” you roll your eyes, walking over to your husband and one year old daughter,  “she’s going to be daddy’s little princess at this rate — aren’t you, baby?” you kiss her cheek, as Kento watches you.
“Like mother, like daughter,” and you gape at him, as his lips curl, as he carries his daughter to the car to strap her into her carseat, “are you coming?”
You step over to the car, standing as he finishes buckling Mio in, and he turns to face you — the scars on his body remained, but healing with each day — his other eye hidden away under an eyepatch, but he still looked just as handsome the day you met him at Jujutsu High for the first time, if not more so (it was definitely more so, you often teased him, that emo haircut was definitely not attractive).
“Sweethe—” he raises an eyebrow, before you lean up to kiss him, wrapping his arms around his neck, and he melts into the kiss, brow furrowed as you pull away, “what was that for?”
And you shrug, “Just because, now come on,” you climb into the seat beside your daughter.
“If we’re late for this meeting at Jujutsu Tech, it will be because of your kiss,” he warns, catching your eye with a smile in the rearview mirror as he starts the car.
You only grin back, as your fingers find Mio’s tiny ones, “Don’t worry, we have time.”
And you did — you had all the time in the world.

The X-Teens: What the h*ll??!!😨😰
The Brotherhood: That's b*dass!!!🤩😍

The X-Teens: ... Um... we, um... maybestolesomethingfromReader!! But we had to! They're not telling us something, and we think it's important!
Logan: Well, it looks like you're all returning it, unless you want to be in the Danger Room for the next five hours 😡
The X-Teens: Please, just a peek! 🥺
Logan: ... Ugh, fine, just one look. Then we're gettin' in the car and returning it, you hear me?
The X-Teens and Logan, looking into the box: 😶
The box: full of video tapes, recorders, old papers and journals, and different rocks and fossils and old heirloom jewelry
Logan: Okay, fine, you take one thing, something that would be hard to miss-
Kitty: Done! grabbed an old recorder
Logan: I'll hold onto that, since you kids got us into this mess
Later-
Logan, listening to one of the many recordings in shock: It's been nearly two centuries, but I still miss James and Victor, even if they were both quite brash at times... Boys, right? ... Ha... I think Jimmy is called "Logan" nowadays... I think I should leave him be; he seems happy with his friends, he doesn't need me anymore... I suppose Victor doesn't need me, either... I guess it's hard to miss someone that they can't remember... well, I think that perhaps this summer I'll be able to finally pass-
Logan: pauses the old recording

“the process of reporting on one’s own conscious mental experiences,” you read from the flimsy flashcard in your hand, staring at alex from the other side of the table.
“indivi- i mean, um, introspection,” he muttered. you gave him a little nod of approval, followed by a yawn. he linked his leg around yours from under the table, flashing you a sweet smile. “tired?”
you shook your head. “not really. just, tired of this but i like helping you study, s’ alright.” alex took the stack of flashcards from your hand and tied a rubber band around them, tossing the deck in his bag. “i aswell am tired of this.” the boy smirked
you blushed a bit from his subtle flirtation, even if it only peeked through in his pearly smirk. “yeah?” you replied. “yeah.” he muttered, almost a whisper, almost as if he wasn’t really thinking about anything in particular besides you in this moment. you rested your face in your hand, tilting your head, maintaining his gaze as your hand crept along his thigh under the table. your movements were slow, tentative. you’d inch up the denim a bit, and then move back to his knee, slowly, like a sweet act of affection, but every time your delicate fingers would trail back up his thigh, they’d travel a little higher each time.
alex gulped a bit, feeling his face flush as his jeans got a little too tight. he grabbed your hand from under the desk, intertwining his fingers in yours. “wanna get out of here?”
a sudden sense of need and urgency overwhelmed you both as you stepped out of the library. “we could go to my dorm,” you suggested, unsure. the moment felt like a whirlwind. it would take a while to get back to the dorms and besides, you weren’t completely sure your roomate wasn’t home. alex sensed the iffy-ness in your tone, looking down the hallway. “or, there’s a bathroom right down there.”
you bit your lip. it was risky, sure, but it wasn’t like a normal public bathroom. the library bathrooms were much more secluded, like family bathrooms so nevertheless, you agreed.
5 minutes later and backpacks were slung to the floor, messy kisses were exchanged, and urgency and lust overwhelmed you both as you ran your hands through his short hair, pressing him against the door with your body. alex’s muffled groans and whimpers only motivated you more, your hand fumbling with the buttons of his jeans as the other slid underneath his polo shirt, palm splayed against the warm skin of his lower stomach.
“ah fuck,” he whispered, a hand tangled in your hair whilst the other pulled you in by your waist. “been thinkin bout you all day, fuck you’re so pretty,” alex rambled. you smiled, huffing against his lips. “help me get my jeans off, yeah? i’ll help ya with yours,” you ordered.
“whatever you say.” he scrambled to shuffle your jeans down your thighs, leaving you in your underwear. once you’d done the same he was left in his boxers. not wasting anymore time, he pulled his cock out of the elastic waistband, moving your panties to the side and aligning his tip with your entrance.
you whined quietly, watching as a strand of your arousal stuck to him when he playfully pulled his tip back. you hit his chest, impatient. “cmon, be good.” he chuckled a bit, his jaw hanging slack when he finally complied and slid his cock in, filling you up in a way that elicited pathetic little gasps from your lips as you clawed at his shoulders.
alex grabbed your hips, redirecting you so that you could lean against the counter. he ducked his head down, burying his nose into your neck as he started fucking you. you held him tight, one hand grasping his short hair as the other rested under his shirt, softly clawing his back when his pace got quicker.
“thas’ it, oh, fuck pretty girl,” he rambled into your ear, his hand brushing the hair out of the side of your face. you moan at his words. when you first met him, he was awkward and shy, fiddling with his pen, not even being able to look at you properly when he spoke without getting flustered. and now? now he’s fucking you in a campus bathroom, petting your hair and cooing dirty little praises in your ear.
you were sopping for him, obscene noises echoing through the small bathroom whenever he moved his hips. you hoped to god no one happened to be passing by, your moans would give you away instantly. the way his cock stroked your walls so sweetly, stretching you out and nudging against that spongey spot that made you feel so fluttery, just to pull put and slam back in over and over and over and fuck. you were practically screaming his name at this point.
getting close, you grabbed his face, all sweaty and flushed, much like when you’d watch him play at his shows under the hot fluorescent stage lights. with one hand bunching the fabric of his collar and the other holding his cheek, you pulled him in for a messy, needy kiss. he moaned into your mouth, his tongue immediately sliding against yours in a way that made the butterflies in your abdomen swirl and flutter. you kissed him desperately, his pace stuttering and getting harder and faster- you could tell he was almost there too.
his hands snaked up and under your shirt, grasping at your soft skin and tracing up your sides. you wrapped a leg around his waist, his cock even deeper at the new angle, and just like that, you were gone. your eyes rolled back as you moaned and gasped into his mouth, clenching his cock and pulling him over with you. he gasped and gripped your waist. your back arched as you lay back onto the counter, his hot release filling you up even more.
as you both started to come down from the intense highs, his hips began to slow and he pulled out. you lay there on the cool countertop, trying to catch your breath. alex smiled, leaning down and kissing you softly, still panting a bit himself. a few moments later, you felt his release running out of you. you decided to deal with that mess later and pulled your jeans and underwear up, alex getting dressed as well.
you gave him a little peck on the cheek and turned to look in the mirror at yourselves. “shit,” you chuckled. he laughed a bit too. your hair was all mussed, cheeks flushed and lips swollen, much like alex, his hair all spiky and sticking up. “well don’t we look good,” he snickered, moving to fix your hair, brushing the tangles out with his fingers. you smiled at the kind gesture.
“you look absolutely gorgeous my love,” he cooed, kissing you sweetly. you wrapped your arms around him. “so do you. i love you.”

2024 Book Review #38 – Play It As It Lays by Joan Didion
Tumblr media
Didion is one of those canonical authors I always feel like I should already have read at some point (isn’t that what high school English class was supposed to be for). Of course this was a very vague feeling, and not attached to a single scrap of actual information about her and her work beyond the general time period and cultural milieu – so I grabbed this from the library and started it entirely blind (partially my own fault for skipping the introduction by a different and much worse author tbf). Fascinating book, artistically successful and emotionally affective, but not one I’m able to say I really found enjoyable, or even necessarily beautiful (it’s no Giovanni’s Room, to compare another bit of canonical latter-20th century high literature).
The book follows Maria Wyeth, an (increasingly former) actress in 1960s Hollywood, through her slow decline from up and coming starlet and wife of a prestigious young director to an enforced retirement as an isolated upscale sanitarium/hospital resort. Which is hardly a spoiler – the book starts at the end and jumps through the timeline freely, and in any case the whole thing feels telegraphed to the point of inevitability. Maria’s life in LA is contrasted with how she grew up in a tiny desert town in Nevada, so small it at some point stopped existing, and in the process more or less gives you the narrative of her life.
Which is as close to a plot as the book has, really. Maria and her internal monologue are the near-sole focus, and her view of the outside world and what’s happening around her basically always says more about her than the world. Watching Maria’s life falls apart really is watching a car crash in slow motion – you’re never really surprised at any point, but the shearing metal and flesh are hard to look away from.
The book’s very much capital-l Literature, here meaning that the style and prose is at least half the reason to read the book. The story’s told through short vignettes (I’m not sure a singe chapter was more than ten pages, whereas the vast majority were two or three) and the deliberate, generous use of white space, both figurative and literal. Maria is pretty relentless in her self-deception and lack of self-awareness, and in any case is quiet elusive and vague with descriptions of people and events – reading between the lines is quite necessary. This overall really does work for me - the imagery is vivid and memorable, and Maria’s head is a compelling and believable place to be.
It’s also just intolerable. I have no particular issue with deeply unsympathetic, tragically unselfaware, or wince-inducingly self-destructive characters, but Maria sure is all three of those to a degree I rarely see. More than that, she is just profoundly passive. It is, for me at least, far easier to be invested in operatic delusion and hubris leading to ruination than a just resolutely thoughtless and pettily cruel person letting her life rot around her. Which is a failure of literary empathy on my part, probably, but did make this a somewhat frustrating book to read. You’re left want to scream at Maria to just do something (anything!) that she isn’t led to by people around her like an ornery goat to water.
This is probably exacerbated by the supporting cast. Who are all very much portrayed as hopeless, clueless gamblers and unprincipled, hypocritical Hollywood decadents,, absolutely – but despite that, keep trying to reach out and offer her lifelines or support. Which is mostly surprising because she might literally not say a single kind word to another human being in the entire book, is relentlessly caustic in her internal monologue, and sure isn’t doing favours or advancing the career of anybody. The real tension of the book ends up not being whether or not she’ll destroy her life and more how long before everyone around her just lets her.
It’s a blisteringly cynical novel overall, really – both in its portrayal of individual characters and of society as a whole. I joked while reading it that it felt like American Psycho without a Patrick Bateman, and while that’s a bit too far – everyone’s still very recognizably human, most of whom do care about at least a few things besides status symbols and dick measuring contests – but the portrayals of Hollywood and Wall Street certainly feel like they rhyme.
Though the implicit politics of that cynicism do feel do feel very different here. Very possibly because the back cover called it something like ‘a blistering satire of the excesses of the ‘60s’ (paraphrasing from memory), but the book definitely ended up feeling very (socially) conservative, full of worries about broken families and marriages of convenience and just generally decadence. The whole plot where Maria gets a motel-room abortion to deal with the consequences of her affair which almost kills her, sends her spiralling into months of total, life-ruining depression, and destroys her relationship with both her husband and her paramour feels like something you’d only see coming out today in explicit pro-life propaganda, for example; certainly it’s a trope I’ve seen complained about more than (until now) I’ve ever actually seen done. The fact that Maria’s foremost redeeming feature is always her love for and desire to be with her (disabled and permanently hospitalized for vague reasons), and that the climax of the book is a suicide directly caused by infidelity, also. None of which should exactly be surprising, really – a book almost as old as my parents has dated opinions on social issues! - but for some reason I always expect canonical authors to have been free-wheeling libertines and bohemians.
Speaking of being written nearly sixty years ago – the time capsule quality of this book is positively fascinating. Which I say whenever I read something from before the millennium, but still – the ‘60s are still so profoundly mythologized I do love the chance to see anything written about them at the time, if only for ‘the past as a foreign country’ tourism reasons. The Hollywood of exploration, drug abuse, meaningless sex, vicious gossip and every combination of the above feels like it could almost be written about today, right up until the point where an easy divorce means finding an amenable judge and finding a witness to corroborate the husband’s admission of wanton emotional abuse (which becomes a stark reminder of how horrifying even a historical five minutes ago was when you consider what happens if you can’t meet any of those conditions). The illegal abortions, the utterly casual homophobia, the auteur theory being a hot new thing, the cult of the open road. It all adds up to an interesting effect.
Speaking of the cult of the open road – Maria’s only real sense of peace, happiness and self-control in the entire book is when she’s spending all day cruising the highway at dangerous speeds just for the sake of it, without itinerary or destination. No real coherent point to make, just that there’s something truly and incredibly American about that? The descriptions of the Nevada desert and highways, too.
But yeah, an expertly written novel that’s positively lovely in places (the opening monologue is near-sublime, for example), but not one that really awed or oved me the way some other literature has.

DHMIS Easter Eggs and Background Details
Tumblr media
A huge list of a bunch of background details, foreshadowing, and Easter Eggs I noticed on my second watch-through. Note that I’m only including things that are fairly obscure, rather than “obvious” items others have already pointed out (so I’m not including the symbol sightings, for example). Feel free to add on with anything I missed.
Episode 1
In the theme song, Red Guy is “you”, which makes sense as he’s usually the audience surrogate character
Among the briefcase’s papers is a sticky note with 1906 on it
Right as the briefcase leaves, the last line is “you can be the ones who dig a hole for a funeral” as foreshadowing to the next episode
Everyone’s name tag in the factory has their name except for Yellow’s, which just says “employee”
When Bird is talking to Red in the office, he says that they’ve only been there for “9 minutes”. This is at the 14 minute mark and they got to Peterson’s at 5 minutes in, so they have indeed been there 9 minutes
According to the Carehound poster, Peterson’s is closed Mon–Sat and is open for exactly 4 minutes at 10 PM on Sun
Red Guy framed and hung the fax the fax machine gave him on the wall
Before the song starts the briefcase is rushing off to his job, but when the song ends he tells Brendon it’s time for his bath (as in, they’re going home). Meaning that teaching/torturing the puppets was the job he was rushing off to
Episode 2
The orange with eyes that was in the very first DHMIS short is in the BG when Red checks his ID card
The gel teacher appears as an inanimate object while Duck’s in the bathroom during the Big Day song
The tissue box says “sad squares” on it
Yellow’s red overalls from the ending of the DHMIS 6 short appear on his bed
The make your new friend box claims the new friend is not, in fact, toilet trained
The cassette that Duck plays is the same song from the end credits
Stain mentions “some people think we’re in a simulation” during their song, which references both the end of the OG series and episode 6 of this show
The shovel at the end of this episode cameos at the end of the original DHMIS 6 short as a teacher
There are a bunch of maggots by real!Bird’s feet at the end before they start the song
Episode 3
The Chuddle Dollops are “warm lasagna flavor”
Lillie and Todney switch their shirts from brown to black and white stripes while at their house for some reason
The picture Todney holds up appears to show Yellow holding a very Dead Duck by the leg
When Todney and Lillie are measuring their heights, the names on the wall are “grandma”, “Todney” and “Lily” (spelled with a Y)
When they measure Yellow’s height, they also measure his feet. They’re getting his measurements so they know what size to make the outfit they stick him in later
Duck has the toasted bread slice child from earlier on the table when Red drops in
Episode 4
That triangle thing from the original series shows up on the bookshelf early on
The apple teacher from the last episode also shows up on the shelf, surprisingly not eaten
The pamphlets Warren holds up for the restaurant-style meal include one for Grolton’s Chiken
The trio’s digital style avatars from DHMIS 4 show up in the BG when they go online as well as the “nothing” sign from 2 and the clown painting from 1
There’s a phone in every ep so far, probably as a reference to the role phones played in the OG series. A phone ringing is what leads Red into the office in 1, Red says you have to schedule to use the phone in 2, Lily and Todney cut the landline in 3, and there’s a phone in Yellow’s brain that Warren uses to order food
The search results on Colin include “long faced individuals in YOUR area - looking to chat!” and “long faced man VS horse - the ultimate long face showdown!”
Episode 5
The recipe note on the fridge says “rat shin”, “pie”, and “egg soup”
The photo in the kitchen background changes to a different photo each ep
Bird’s clipboard includes “one Jason” at the bottom
Bird individually counting tiles instead of counting it as one floor is valid considering the floor extends infinitely during the blackout in 6
If I’m not mistaken Red walking into another room is the first time that’s ever happened in either the show or the shorts. Usually it just cuts to them already in a different room
There’s another phone on the wall in the living room
The train teacher’s eyebrows fall off in bike form and remain gone while in car form
Mullhoven’s name is on a signpost (and the teacher) during a song transition, and the poster under it says that this is a “neighborhood watch area” with a picture of a woman (maybe meant to be Lelsey? though it doesn’t look much like her)
Roy’s face is on a pirate flag
1906 reference on the second bus, which reads “terminal 196″ in all of the destination windows
The car has a worm button in it
Bird says “we’ve already seen a dead horse”, even though they haven’t
Mini-Tony on the dashboard
Time Child’s digital clock reads 19:06
Mulhoven is spelled differently every time it shows up
Some of the Mulhoven signs include “Nice Hair”, “Nice Road”, and “It’s shoes”
Another sign says “Quiz Night Fun: Every Morning (It’s fun!)”
People have pointed out the Roy cameo in the neighbors shot, but Duck is also a few windows down
One character is dressed like Lily (blonde girl with striped shirt and a red letter), though the letter appears to be “I” instead of “L”
Episode 6
The bill is from Roy-Electric and it’s for 19.06 pounds
Electracey’s last two numbers on her neck are 96
Final phone is the fake phone with a real phone in it. Duck also has a phone during the blackout
Drawing with the dead Duck from Episode 5 of the OG series pops up in the BG during the shredder scene
Crossword includes “Roy”, “gravel” (a nod to DHMIS 3), and “aspic” (DHMIS 5)
When Electracey is malfunctioning the sunlight outside flickers with the indoor lights, hinting at the dollhouse thing
One of the chalkboard drawings says “aspic” and another says “Roy”
Clayhill is also on the chalkboard but scribbled out
The electric clock in the house reads “20:06″ (as in June 20th)
The urn that Red smashes has Duck’s face on it, meaning it’s once again another dead Duck
Sketchbook is lying dead beside the other teachers in front of the fridge
The fridge from the opening also shows up, with the same character pictures (and Duck with a powerdrill, the one used for Stain in episode 2)
There’s a decapitated Duck with a TV where the head should be, which lines up with Yellow breaking the doll in the next scene
The symbols on the book are as follows: Red’s eyes, decapitated Duck and Yellow heads (Yellow’s showing him with wires instead of blood), Roy coin from Ep 1 with a worm, battery with a worm, shovel, Tony, and Yellow’s severed hand from Ep 1

Sirius Black in PoA, through the Lens of Foucault
As part of the discord’s 25 years of PoA mini-fest, I wrote this meta to explore how Sirius’s journey in the narrative of PoA is emblematic of Foucault’s ideas about the interplay between control and defiance within societal structures.
1.0 Surveillance and Control
In his 1975 book “Discipline and Punish," Foucault discusses how modern societies exert control through surveillance and imo Azkaban epitomises this notion.
The Dementors, who guard Azkaban, are agents of surveillance and control, embodying the state’s power to watch and dominate.
The psychological torment inflicted by Dementors aligns with Foucault's theory that modern punishment focuses on mental rather than physical suffering, aiming to break the prisoner’s spirit.
Foucault states, “The soul is the effect and instrument of a political anatomy; the soul is the prison of the body”, highlighting how modern penal systems aim to control the mind and spirit more than the physical body.
2.0 Azkaban as an Isolated Prison
Azkaban’s location on an isolated island removed from the British mainland (so out of sight, out of mind) exemplifies Foucault’s description of a new “physics of power.” Foucault explains that across Europe, the public spectacle of punishment has been replaced by the prison system. This shift reflects a more insidious form of power that is less visible but equally, if not more, effective
For example, we think that it’s wild to attend a public beheading whereas only 200 years ago it would be a day out. Also, to refer to another hyperfixation of mine- Anne Boleyn. She publicly praised Henry the 8th during her execution speech to prevent repercussions to her remaining loved ones and to be this exemplifies how public executions were a visual representation of the monarchs power.
The isolation of Azkaban serves multiple functions in this new physics of power. Physically removed from society, prisoners are cut off from the outside world, which deepens their sense of hopelessness and abandonment. This geographic isolation symbolizes the Ministry’s total control over the prisoners, who are not only confined by physical barriers but also by the immense psychological impact of their seclusion.
3.0 The Panopticon and Escape
Foucault’s concept of the Panopticon, a structure that allows for constant observation, can be metaphorically applied to Azkaban. The constant presence of Dementors ensures that prisoners are perpetually aware of their surveillance, creating a state of internalised control.
Within this context, Padfoot provides Sirius with a  means to subvert this surveillance, highlighting Foucault’s idea that where there is power, there is also the potential for resistance.
Sirius’s escape from Azkaban is a significant act of defiance against the oppressive system. It challenges the perceived infallibility of the prison and the Ministry’s control. His ability to transform into a dog allows him to evade the Dementors, symbolising the possibility of resistance and the reclaiming of agency.
4.0 The Dementor's Kiss and "The Soul is the Prison of the Body"
Foucault's statement, “The soul is the effect and instrument of a political anatomy; the soul is the prison of the body,” is particularly relevant when considering the Dementor’s Kiss.
The Dementor’s Kiss, which sucks out a person’s soul, leaving them in a permanent vegetative state, is the ultimate form of punishment and control. This act effectively removes the individual’s essence, their capacity for thought, emotion, and agency, leaving behind an empty shell. The soul, according to Foucault, is shaped and controlled by societal institutions and norms, and the Dementor's Kiss represents the extreme end of this control.
For Sirius, the threat of the Dementor’s Kiss symbolizes the ultimate control over his being, a punishment that would erase his identity and resistance entirely. The Kiss is not just a physical act but a complete annihilation of the individual’s spirit, aligning with Foucault's concept that the soul (consciousness and identity) is where true control is exerted.
And it is worth noting that the only time, we see Sirius be concerned for his own safety is when the Dementors are about to administer the kiss.
As they reached the lakeshore, they saw why — Sirius had turned back into a man. He was crouched on all fours, his hands over his head.
“Nooo,” he moaned. “Noooo ... please. Poa
5.0 Vigilante Justice and the Elimination of Peter Pettigrew
Having said this, Sirius’s desire to kill Peter, introduces a complex dimension to his relationship with justice and punishment.
In seeking vengeance against Pettigrew, Sirius steps into the role of a vigilante, challenging the legitimacy and effectiveness of the established legal and penal institutions. This act of taking justice into his own hands can be seen as an extension of his resistance against the oppressive structures that have wronged him. It reflects Foucault’s idea that power is not only exercised by institutions but also contested by individuals who operate outside or against these institutions.
Indeed, throughout his story, Sirius’s character is deeply intertwined with themes of power and resistance.
He is born at the apex of wizarding society, in a position of inherent privilege. However, his rejection of his family's pure-blood supremacist ideology signifies his initial act of rebellion against established power structures. By joining the Order of the Phoenix, Sirius actively opposes Voldemort’s regime, which seeks to perpetuate these same oppressive ideologies.
Despite his imprisonment in what is essentially purgatory, Sirius maintains a strong sense of identity and resistance.
The Ministry’s failure to properly investigate the charges against him and their readiness to condemn him without a fair trial reflect Foucault’s critique of the justice system’s role in perpetuating power imbalances. Sirius’s escape and continued fight against these injustices represent his resistance to being defined and controlled by these oppressive systems.
