I'm still rather proud of that one panel of Rose doing the "Lighty Thing" even now!

Impossibly Redeemable - 26 - Fortune Car
Summary: Shortly after faking his death in Svartalfheim to fool Thor, Loki wakes up to find himself in a  realm that is not the one he “died” in. After meeting another person in  a similar predicament, he learns the only way home is through  redemption. But how can he possibly do that? Monsters like him don’t deserve redemption, do they?
Pairing: Loki x F!Reader
Word Count: 1,096
Disclaimers/Warnings: Dark, creepy atmosphere. Spookums... Kind of.
A/N: This is one a bit short. It’s more of an interlude to the coming chapters. Now that I have a handful of them planned out, I feel like I can get through these chapters a bit faster. Let's see how this goes! :D

Loki swept Eva up into his arms and pulled you close as the door slammed shut. It stole what little light had existed in this car. Even a god’s eyes could not penetrate this kind of suffocating darkness.
None of you could muster the courage to speak. It was as if your voices had been taken with the light. All you could do was listen, and there was nothing. Even the sounds of breathing seemed stifled, muffled even, like a cloth bag had been placed over your heads. Loki focused everything on his own hearing, hoping to catch something, anything that might lead them to the exit.
And then… Rustling.
A ragged groan followed by phlegm-riddled breaths.
Eva’s arms coiled around Loki’s neck, face burying in his neck. Your fingers clutched so tightly to his tunic he thought for a split second you might shred the fabric.
“Show yourself!”
Loki surprised himself when he growled out his demand. It shocked him more when its recipient complied.
Candles of various sizes burst to life, encircling your company in warm light. One lit after the other as if to lead your eyes. A distraction, perhaps?
The god focused straight ahead to where he heard the sounds before. With each new flame, he could see more of a hunched, shadowed figure. It stood, fabrics billowing down its form. Its silhouette stretched long and thin, taller than Loki. A pair of arms reached out and back to tame the wiry hair that seemed to reach out to the light. Another pair adjusted the remaining fabric still clinging to its form.
The trail of candles finally made its way to the being. Even the golden hues reflected off its skin were not enough to give the grayed, wrinkled leather the essence of life. Although, it did highlight the starry night blue robes laden with golden accents. The outline of what looked like a rounded snout turned in your direction, and fire danced in the creature’s nuumite eyes. Its second set of hands settled on its back.
Pop!
They groaned, exorcising a cough in the process.
“It’s about time you showed up,” they exclaimed, gravel still stuck in their throat. “Excuse the poor reception. I fell asleep waiting.”
“Waiting?” Loki’s grip on you and Eva tightened. “For us?”
“Are you daft, boyo? Of course, I have! Who else would I be waiting for?” they spat.
The god sputtered in response, shoving the words on his tongue back into a locked chest. He wouldn’t risk angering this creature when he still didn’t know what they could do.
“Yes, yes. ‘I beg your pardon!’ You are a god and should be treated as such,” they mockingly continued for him. “Now come along! I haven’t got all day.”
“For wha—”
“Have you not put together the clues yet, boyo? Silver tongue is sharp, but the mind is dull.”
They shuffled around to a clearing in the candle. With a wave of their arms, a large table appeared, draped in indigo velvet. A deck of cards were lazily spread out next to a clear crystal ball.
“Now get over here before I change my mind. I took time out of my schedule for this. Don’t make it a waste of my time.”
Loki’s jaw fell slack. This creature (person?) knew who he was and had the gall—
“What did I just say? Enough lallygagging! Trickster god, little chemist, child of the train. I suggest you get your legs working again!”
Pride bubbled and boiled in his chest. It was threatening to boil over when your hand grazed his cheek, redirecting his attention.
“Loki,” you coaxed, “I think we should do as she says.”
Eva still clung to him tightly, but her face wasn’t completely concealed in the crook of his neck anymore. It peered out fearfully but with an air of curiosity. Your free hand found his on your waist and entangled them with an encouraging squeeze.
“You might want to listen to your partner, boyo.”
A grimace settled on Loki’s face. With a sigh lingering in his lungs, his shoulders drooped and eyes softened.
“And what say you, little dove?” he consulted Eva.
Her head lifted as she surveyed the seer with scrutiny. Her decision didn’t take long.
“Yeah.” She nodded. “I think… I think she has something important for us.”
The seer cleared their throat, more for attention than anything. There wasn’t anything in all the realms that would dislodge the voice-degrading phlegm for them to speak smoothly.
“Excellent. Now that everyone is in agreement… Come over here and sit down!”
Tumblr media
Eva squirmed in her seat that was designed more for the quick fortune telling than comfort. You managed to sit still, but your narrowed eyes were evidence of just how sore you truly were. Loki was feeling telltale pinpricks in his feet. He was about to conjure cushions for the three of you when the seer finally finished shuffling their oracle deck and laid down the first card.
Cracked mirror.
“Mmm, yes. Already knew this one. Traumatic pasts. Next.”
Glowing rose quartz.
“Current state: True love, friendship, family.” They up glance up at your tense forms. “Also obvious.”
Broken bridge over a river.
“Hmm… Interesting. An event will come to pass that will cause a rift.”
Loki glared hard at the card.
Hummingbird hovering.
“Quite soon, actually.”
Your hand met his under the table.
Unbalanced scales weighing a heart.
“When things are laid bare.”
Dark forest with a thin crescent moon.
“The results of this event are… unclear.”
Loki’s brow knit together.
“Unclear?” you responded.
The seer nodded. Their secondary left hand hovered over the crystal ball. Dark, foggy clouds rose and swirled inside.
“Hidden even… Perhaps the Conductor’s doing…” they mumbled so softly that even Loki had trouble picking it up.
Silence swelled in the room with only the faint interruption of the candles flickering.
Your other hand came to rest upon both yours and Loki’s that were joined. The god nearly jumped out of his skin. Your eyes were alit with worry… And more pain? He looked down at your hands and loosened his grip that he had unknowingly tightened. Your fingers flexed in an attempt to soothe the irritated tingling.
Eva reached over for his free hand. It will be okay.
Loki was forcing a deep breath through his nostrils when the door appeared adjacent to the seer.
“It seems our session has come to an end,” they spoke. “I wish you all the best of luck.” They turned to face the door, brow furrowed. “You’re going to need it.”

Soooo I know this is my account to post random bullshit that pops in my head throughout the day.
And I know literally buttfuck no one is on my blog.
But let’s pretend someone’s gonna see this, shall we!
*she says to herself*
Anyway, I have to write a fanfic for one of my classes, and I chose to write for one of my all time favorite shows “infinity train.”
I’m gonna post it to this blog cause this is the first fanfic I’ve written, but I have experience in writing stories, so why tf not if anyone sees this maybe they’ll enjoy it.
The story picks up after season 3 of infinity train. It follows Grace and her little paper swan bird companion, Pebble.
Grace’s key to getting off the train is to develop her empathy and compassion for others, and mostly, communicate her feelings healthily without “acting out.”
Also it’s gay. The story is gay. Grace is a bicon and she meets a super slay lesbian and they’re gay.
We love a good story that involves emotions, therapy, and also gay.
Read if it sounds interesting!

Day 16 of Having the Magical AI Make me a Danny Phantom Fanfic
Today's Danny Phantom story generated by a AI is a crossover. With whom you may ask, Infinity Train. Y'all know Infinity Train, right? Cause I ain't explaining. (Really good show tho) Anyways let's hop to it.
It was just an ordinary day for Danny as he slouched through the school hallways, wishing for a boring academic day to pass by. Suddenly, an odd rumbling sound caught his attention. He followed the noise until he stumbled upon a mysterious doorway nestled between a couple of lockers.
Curiosity got the best of Danny as he approached the door, grasping the knob and twisting it open. All of a sudden, he found himself sucked into a world unlike any other he had experienced before. The air was stale and musty, a complete contrast to the vibrant colors and lively scene of his hometown Amity Park.
Danny was now standing in the world of Infinity Train, a vast, mysterious, and ever-changing realm of wonders and dangers that he'd never dreamt of. He looked around in awe as he observed a train racing past him. Without thinking, Danny hopped onto the train, feeling the wind blowing through his hair as he watched the ever-changing landscape around him. It was then he realized that he was riding a train that kept shifting and changing within like a labyrinth.
At one point, Danny stumbled into a carriage that felt eerily familiar. It was a ghostly carriage packed with a variety of spectral creatures, including Ember Mclain, the goth queen of the ghost world. Danny quickly put two and two together and soon realized that he had to use his powers to survive as he struggled to navigate through the tricks and traps that the train had set up for him.
Eventually, during his train ride, Danny met Amelia, a girl who had been stuck in the Infinity Train for years, helping countless passengers stuck on the train. She noticed that Danny was different from any other passenger she had ever seen. Upon hearing his story, Amelia made a note of his powers and offered to help him to find a way out of the maze-like train.
For the rest of his journey in the Infinity Train, Danny and Amelia became fast friends, with Danny using his powers to help her find a way out of the twisted train. Together, they braved various challenges, from seductive ghosts, terrifying beasts, and tricky obstacles, working alongside each other to escape.
In the end, Danny managed to escape the clutches of the Infinity Train, feeling grateful for the time he spent there and the lessons he learned along the way. He shared a tearful goodbye with Amelia, promising to come and visit her every time he entered the Infinity Train. As he returned to his world, Danny was left with the knowledge that, just like himself, Infinity Train was a world full of magic and endless possibilities.
The End.
A weird fever dream once again, but the AI preformed better then I thought it would since Infinity Train is lesser known, well anyways... bye.

Fic of the week
I'll be recommending one of my favorite fanfics once or twice a week. This week's is;
Tumblr media
Super specific audience? Yes. Do I care? No, yall get what you get. Anygay, this fic is sadly unfinished, but it's at a good stopping point. A bit of a slow burn, and a process for the to physically get together. Like location wise. Super cute, bit of angst but lots of fluff to make up for it.
Remember to read the tags yourself. Enjoy!

When they’re still long enough, Min can decipher that their features are accentuated with some sort of orange makeup, corresponding with their clothing. It’s some sort of stripe from the forehead to the chin, and even without prior knowledge of skating culture, Min considers it a bold style to one’s aesthetic. They skate like they invented the stuff. Like the world owes them this dance. They’re choreographed, every action hand-picked; when they jump, arms knitted at their torso, spinning, spinning…. It’s an artist comfortable in their craft.
mandatory 'i wrote an ice skating au fic and its long but fun' post whenever i upload something!

Obligatory Infinity Train Fanfic Plug I Guess
I have some new followers since I posted about my Infinity Train cosplay process so I guess now's a good time to plug my boring overly-long fanfics that are mostly sad and stuff.
SHIPPING FICS
RYMIN:
Ain't No Cure For Love: Ryan and Min-Gi perform their first gig in Montreal. Min-Gi wants to confess his feelings. (First fic I ever wrote probably a bit rough now and the only fic without any sort of theme besides "love wins" i guess) It Can't Be Helped: Takes place in the mid-2000s when Ryan and Min-Gi's band have become quite successful and are touring East Asia. Ryan has some cultural identity issues to overcome at the age of like, 40-something. (This one is much much better than the first Rymin fic, and is about more than just shipping. I did a ton of research into Japanese-Canadians and Korean-Canadians for it as well! Shout-out to my partner for his huge role in shaping this fic as he is Japanese-Canadian himself.)
GRIMON:
Raison d'Etre (PART 1) (PART 2): Post-Canon AU where Simon survives the Train. Grace and Simon spend about 4 years apart from each other living their own lives on Earth, but one day Grace shows up randomly in Quebec to pay Simon a visit. Traumatic wounds get reopened, things get emotional, philosophical, maybe even a little... sociopolitical? Also interspersed between Grace and Simon's little dates are flashbacks to the Train that explain exactly how Simon managed to leave the Train in this AU.
I separated it into two halves because the second half contains smut. However, the second half kind of needs to be read for there to be a complete story. The smut is entirely skippable and doesn't contribute to the overarching plot so I do encourage you to read both halves.
(Also of note is that this takes place not in the "present" but in the past (2018), because I am An Old Person(TM) and so I made Grace and Simon millennials. And I also didn't want to write about the pandemic. It's not that noticeable and you can ignore that timeline fuckery if you want.)
True Love Waits: (VERY VERY CURSED) Sort of not a shipping fic? But Grace gets pregnant here and we all know who the father is! So Grace needs to leave the Train before the baby is born. Canon complacent so Simon is dead. (TW: other than pregnancy there's also thoughts of self-harm and mentions of abortion)
Leave It In My Dreams: Grace's sad nightmare in Alma Mater but from Simon's perspective.
Shame On You, Blue-Eyed Fox: Grace lets her guard down and harassed by a rookie cop. Simon finally makes himself useful for once in his entire life. (TW: real world racism obviously.)
GENERAL FICS
Alma Mater: Post-Canon. Tulip starts college, is very typically Tulip about it, but she befriends an older student named Grace Monroe who helps her through it. However, Tulip comes to learn that she and Grace have more in common than they realized at first. Also Jesse and Lake get thrown into the mix and drama ensues. (Mostly canon complacent except for 1. time period, and 2. Grace is from California, not DC, but her parents work in DC.)
Initial State: A side story to Raison d'Etre. After Simon realizes he's wrong he works with the Cat to bring his number down and leave the Train. But this isn't as easy as he thought especially when he meets a denizen he's recently met before, but never expected to meet again (becausehekilledherlol).
Semi-Automatic Lonely Boy: Prequel to Raison d'Etre. Just a series of vignettes of Simon's life after returning to Earth. (TW: depictions of self-harm) Other than It Can't Be Helped, this is the other fanfic that I am the most proud of so far. Literally went and relearned French to write some of the dialogue in this.
I'll Get It Right Sometime (ongoing): Four years after Book 3, Hazel and Amelia have a pretty decent life on the Train. But this peace is interrupted when Hazel meets a passenger and decides to help him through the Train. How can Amelia keep Hazel safe? Who is this passenger anyway? Why is the Cat so interested in interfering? Why is Simon somehow involved?! Why is JESSE somehow involved?!?!??! (Note: I think Hazel ages normally, so she's 10 years old in this one.) This is also my most ambitious fanfic yet. I have an Entire Homestuck Reference chapter, a Reddit chapter, and I plan to have several Discord chapters.

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Loki silently cursed as he tested his bonds. Those tights-clad fools had engineered magic-suppressing technology. And it worked. Now, he sat in transparent cell, cuffed, alone and, most importantly, innocent. The irony of his current predicament did not escape him.
He needed a plan to get back to you and Eva. The “heroes” of this world took him away from you as though they had come to your aid, abandoning you and Eva on the street. And for what? Because he looked different from this car’s denizens? Loki scoffed at the thought. He knew he deserved to be on the train, but this… Even complete strangers who had no idea of his past doings labeled him a villain. He would never admit it out loud, but it stung. Did he even have a chance of escaping this locomotive? And if he did, would he be able to see you and Eva one more time after your inevitable release, or would he be too late by then?
Authoritative, clacking steps chased away the thoughts that weighed him down more than Mjolnir on his chest. They stopped just outside his cell door, their echoes looming in the air. The male they belonged to was clad in blue and red, visually pegging him as the leader of these wannabe Avengers. Had he been dressed more casual, the no-nonsense air about him and bird of prey glare would have given him away.
He watched Loki with faux consideration before finally ending their staring contest.
“You must think yourself clever,” his voice boomed unnecessarily.
This mortal’s intimidation tactics were not about to work on a god. “Always,” Loki chuckled. “To what do I owe the honor of this realm’s defender — Salacious, was it? — for recognizing my intellect?”
“Sanctum,” he spat. Annoyance was dripping from the man’s tongue. “Do you find this funny, villain?”
“This situation? No. You? Absolutely.”
Loki leaned forward, his fingers steepled, anxiously awaiting what his idiotic reply would be.
The overly self-righteous mortal, clasped his hands behind his back, forcing himself to look taller than he normally was. “Right, well your entertainment is over now. Your plan to force our hand has failed.”
“Pardon?”
“You heard me.”
Sighing, Loki stared up at him, clearly bored. “Oh please, do elaborate, if only for the benefit of bolstering your own ego.”
The hero scoffed before starting his monologue. “Your friend, our nemesis, has taken the two civilians, who we initially rescued from you, in their vain attempt to steal our attention and have us come running to fight. There is just one thing about that.” He started to pace in front of the cell. “The more I thought about it, the more it didn’t make sense. The civilians seemed so relaxed around you. Happy, even. And that’s when it hit me. You’re all in this together.”
Loki would have likely ground his teeth to dust as his jaw clenched in retaliation of the man’s grotesque grin.
“Those civilians are not truly hostages, so we have no reason to run headlong into an obvious trap.”
The god stood, still imposing despite his binds, and stalked to the bars. “So you plan to keep me here, then?” he hissed. “The two people I care about most are the prisoners of someone you deem a treacherous villain, and you expect me to just sit here whilst you and your comrades do nothing?!”
“Since they are not in any real danger, yes,” he smugly retorted.
“You are a damned fool if you think you can keep me of all people caged,” Loki sneered as he leaned into the bars.
The mortal stepped even closer. “Good luck escaping. You’ll need it,” he barked a laugh and strode back down the hall from where he came.
Loki slinked away and returned to the bench before examining the item in his palm. As drably designed as it was, the security card the hero had was absolutely lovely in this moment.
What an absolute fool.
Tumblr media
The clang of his shattering cuffs reverberated off the dull alley walls, barely overshadowing Loki’s hiss as the metal bit into his already raw skin. He had spent the better half of an hour in his attempts to free himself the rest of the way after escaping the unimpressive place the heroes called their headquarters. The pink soreness of his skin sent shivers down his spine.
He shook his head. There were other things to tend to, namely locating you and Eva. He had discovered the heroes’ war room where a board hung on the back wall. A map of the city was aglow, pinpointing their — and his — enemy’s location.
Loki hadn’t been far from his destination, but it took longer than he would have liked. The safety of the back alleys far outweighed the time-saving main streets. He scoffed at the villain’s supposed hideout. It was disgustingly conspicuous. The obsidian building towered multiple stories over the rest, a circle of gray and green clouds more reminiscent of algae swirled like a predator on the hunt at its peak. No guards could be seen securing it, and the streets were clear of the city’s populace.
Seiðr wrapped around the trickster’s fingers, up his arms, and cascaded across the rest of his body, effectively concealing him from sight. Walking through the front door was generally not the smartest idea. Considering how this car’s denizens were, it was the one that would most likely work. But that didn’t mean Loki was not going to be clever about it. Other than the glass door opening and closing, no one would notice when he slid in.
And no one did. Who would when there were no people to pay attention in the first place. The ground floor seemed void of life.
It wreaked of a trap.
He snuck around the lounge’s perimeter, eventually reaching a reception desk. Settling on the edge of the seat, the god scoffed at the Midgardian-based technology awaiting him. A tap on the keyboard and the monitor sprung to life.
Reaching for the mouse, his fingers brushed the plastic, and his brow furrowed. It would be fine. This would get him what he needed. Hand now firmly on the small device, Loki began sifting through folders and programs.
It was strangely difficult to find where you and Eva were being kept. Well, “difficult” may not be the correct word. It wasn’t as easy as rummaging through the heroes’ headquarters, nor could he call it a challenge. The villain at least had some brain cells despite their flair for dramatics, a flair Loki secretly appreciated. Extra digital security, maze-like corridors, multiple escape routes, automated defense systems — Perfect for any aspiring evil-doer. “Aspiring” being the keyword. For Loki’s thousand year mind, the whole thing was less clever and more cute. As if any of these fools could outsmart him.
Loki sprung out of his seat and headed towards the stairwell. His plan was simple: Reach the building’s last level, free you and Eva, use one of the escape routes to get out, and possibly have it all done before any notices a thing. The latter was more wishful thinking. What harm would that do?
Tumblr media
You and Eva weren’t there.
The trickster glided down the corridors in hopes of some clues to your whereabouts.
The cell you were supposed to be imprisoned in had been unlocked and left ajar. And it wasn’t even much of a cell at all. Had it the ability for windows, the sunlight would have glistened off the fine furniture and highlighted the comforts of home. Certainly, it was nothing like where he had been held.
Rounding corner after corner, he was still surprised to see no guards, no form of active security. There were cameras and sensors, but none of them seemed to be working. What was going on around here?
Another turn and he found a large conference room. Its glass walls allowed him to see everything and everyone. The solid wooden table at the center was nearly identical to the ones he had seen at the heroes’ base.
On one side, lounged a tall, muscled male clad in an amethyst and malachite colored costume. Its skintight nature revealed more while showing little of their olive tanned skin. Their feet were propped casually atop the table, showing off a pair of heels that most certainly were not designed for combat; It would be impressive just to walk a few feet in them. Their coiled, tentacled hair piece shimmered and bounced as they chatted at their guests, all while filing their color coordinated, clawed nails.
At the other side, you and Eva sat smiling — Confused, but still smiling… And unharmed.
The stranger suddenly flung their arms out in a grand sweeping gesture, feet swinging up and down to the floor. They traipsed across the room to the door and flung it open.
“Come in, come in! You must be Loki!” Their voice sung down the hall.
Loki stood frozen. He still had his invisibility charm active. How did—
“Oh, do come in already! I know you’re there. The heat sensors picked up your strange signature quite come time ago.”
He remained silent.
“Look, we have much to talk about, and we need to do it before Todd and his crusaders arrive.”
The invisibility charm dissolved, and Loki materialized his daggers in its wake. As he stepped towards the door, the stranger backed away to give him space. The moment he passed the threshold, he was practically tackled. Two pairs of arms constricted him in such a tender way.
“Are you okay?” you breathed, your arms untangling from his middle so you could cup his cheeks. “What happened?”
He chuckled, leaning in to kiss you. “I’m alright. I’m more worried about you two.” The daggers flashed away, and he pulled Eva up into his arms. “And?”
Eva’s arms wrapped around his neck. “We’re good.”
The door clicked in place.
“I believe it is time for some explanations,” the stranger interrupted softly.
Loki rounded on them. “Yes. Why don’t we start with who you are.”
The stranger gestured for them to sit. They returned to theirs without waiting. You all settled in, Eva in Loki’s lap with you in the seat next to him. Loki mentally cursed at the armrests separating you.
“My name is Talia, and I need your help.”
Tumblr media
One of Loki’s knives pierced the final lackey’s suit, pinning him to the wall. Loki approached with the other and used the tip to quickly remove the chip lodged in his neck. The lackey slumped against the wall.
“Did you— Am I—”
“Yes,” Loki huffed, tired of having to repeat the same lines with nearly every person. He snatched his other knife from the wall. “You are free now.”
More words of gratitude for Loki to outwardly shove away spewed from the lackey’s mouth as the god ushered him down the escape route to reach his friends. Loki went the opposite route, back to the central hub for all the routes. Just as he reached the vestibule, an almost inhuman screech rang out.
“Why do you always do this?!”
It was Sanctum.
“Why do you always have to pretend to be the hero?!”
“I’m not the one pretending, Todd,” Talia growled, locking the hero’s arms behind his back before binding him with cuffs that once latched, expanded and constricted around his forearms.
Loki made his way to the control room where you and Eva had been asked to stay. Your job had been to watch the surveillance camera Talia had been able to reactivate after Todd had shut them down and alert them of anything that would cause the plan to go awry.
“I’m the one who brought order to the city! I gave these citizens jobs, reasons to live. They followed me. And you… You took it all away from me,” Todd howled. “Just like you always do!”
Talia cuffed his ankles.
“You brought tyranny, Todd, turned people into slaves. They feared you. You took nearly everything from them,” they answered softly.
Entering the control room, Loki joined you and Eva at the front most station and watched as Talia gently turned Todd to the side, revealing tear streaked cheeks and snotty nose more reminiscent of a child mid tantrum.
“No… No. No, no, no! You can’t be the hero! You don’t even look the part!” he sobbed.
Talia shook their head with a sigh, “I may not fit the aesthetic, but I still help people. I always will. Just like I will help you, brother.”
Loki felt a pang in his heart.
A light shown on the opposite end of the hub, materializing the set of red and gold doors you, Eva and Loki had been anxiously waiting for. Talia looked up at the three of you and nodded their approval and thanks.
You all exited the control room and headed for the doors, only stopping when Eva tugged on your and Loki’s hands. Her eyes sparkled with determination and something else… Sympathy, perhaps?
She released you and ran over to Talia and Todd. She knealt in front of the pride-wounded man who had taken to curling up into a ball as much as he could. Talia observed with a hesitant hand raised to pull her away from any danger.
“Mister Sanctum?” Eva called to him, placing her tiny hand on his cheek.
His sniveling halted, and his eyes opened with a stare only a curious child could have.
“I think you can do it. You can be a hero and help people. But… help yourself first, okay?”
The corners of Loki’s mouth twitched upwards.
She might just be right.
