Hey, I just realized that we're all probably actively contributing to Green's potential Influencer Crisis.

Alan and his team made a real channel for Green.

We found it. We've flocked to it. We've left comments of adoration, enticed by the idea of interacting with Green himself.

This was all probably intentional. This was all probably planned.

This was all audience participation.

Because we are all contributing to Green's influencer arc. We are provoking it. We are pushing him more and more towards the allure of popularity, to the delicious thrill of attention.

WE are the pitfall that so many people fall victim to when trying to be modern content creators.

Alan and his team have made us Green's REAL audience.

And it will hurt us all the more, when we eventually see what our actions have wrought. Because we've actually played a part in the story. It will be the consequences of our actions we see play out.

Or, at least, I can only hope that's the direction this goes. Tackling such a delicate topic as infliencer egoism and fame addiction is difficult, but this is a prime opportunity for Alan to send a message to us, the audience, the ones ultimately responsible for instigating and encouraging such toxic behaviors in modern influencers, and remind us that our actions and our attention and our greed to consume has real consequences on the person on the other side of the account.

A phenomena that Alan himself is likely very familiar with, as an animator who has to deal with 28.6 million subscribers constantly thirsty for more content.

I want it to be that deep. I want it so bad. It would be such an amazing thing to do.

Things I realized about FFXVI while writing my FFXVI series:

- There is not (enough) much Jill and Gav interactions

- We do not know for sure how the destruction of of Origin will inflience the blight, akashic and / or the Dominants

- Dion and Terence are both the same age as Joshua. This is probably well-known, I do not know why I personally thought Dion is Clive‘s age instead

- This means Clive can big brother all of them

- Dion has similar experiences as Clive and Joshua both (will get into that in my fic)

- There is a Remembrance Ceremony at which Joshua and Dion met as kids mentioned exactly once, but that’s never picked up again. It is not mentioned if Dion also met Clive then

Will probably find more as I go but that’s thing that stood out to me as I collected info for the fics

The agonistic Dirubael

My response to this week’s BestiaryPosting challenge, from @maniculum

Pencil sketch, then lines in Pentel brush pen. Trying something a little different again, trying to work out the best way to draw fur with a thick pen. I feel like I still don't have the level of control I'd like with the brush pen (in terms of getting the lines the right thickness), but it's still fun to use.

Reasoning below the cut…

"There is an animal called the Dirubael. It is black, as big as a horse, with the tail of an elephant, the jaws of a boar and unusually long horns, adjustable to any movement the animal might make. For they are not fixed but move as the needs of fighting require; the Dirubael advances one of them as it fights, folding the other back, so that if the tip of the first is damaged by a blow, it is replaced by the point of the second."

Didn't have a lot of time this week, so a relatively quick sketch. All the references make me think this is some manner of ungulate, probably related to pigs given that is the most distinctive thing mentioned, so that is where we ended up.

The head is distinctly based off of wild boars (with a bit of influence from prehistoric relatives, of which more below), same with the body, but given that we know it is as big as a horse, I assumed that it had a similar kind of profile, so we have some longer, more gracile legs (though still covered in thick fur).

Now, there were actually prehistoric relatives of pigs that had horns... namely Kubanochoerus sp. It doesn't quite work with the description we have been given (namely mobile horns, and multiples of them) but still pretty cool. I also took some inflience from the extinct giant warthog Metridiochoerus.

The horns... I couldn't think of any clever ways to make this work, so I assumed there was thick muscle around the base of each of the horns, which allows a degree of movement. I imagine that there might be a slot or nodule in the skull where the horn can brace while facing forwards, and while the other horn is tucked back out of the way.

The tail is taken pretty much directly from elephants; I had a image in my head of what I expected them to look like (mostly like a naked cow tail), but on doing a little research it ended up quite different. They are actually quite blunt at the end, and the hair tends to be on the left and right edges which normally ends up with a distinct tuft on either side of the end, rather than a fluffy tip to the tail. Elephant tails are also a lot longer than I imagine them to be!

I keep seeing people said Marinette will be saving Adrien and she'll fix the Agreste mess just like foreshadowed by Natch and Marc fairy tail and if that's true that she'll fix the Agreste mess... Then what's the point of Adrien being there? A thropy for her? A simple love interest who cheer on her for fixing his family?? Aren't we already have two examples why Marinette is not allowed to "fix" abused child family problem? Bubbler and Queen Wasp definitely a glaring example of how it end up being "good" for both Chloe and Adrien. /s why people thinking it's good for Marinette to step in and fix Agreste mess when she doesn't even know what it feels to live in abused famile. And now I couldn't help but thinking the whole Adrien being sentimonster is a way for Marinette to save him because she's the guardian and she'll figure out how to make him break free from the amok or peacock inflience

I don't think it will be pointless even if Marinette does end up being the main person to free Adrien from Gabriel's control, especially since abuse victims - ESPECIALLY children - can't always get out by themselves. It's pretty difficult when the person abusing you has so much legal power over you.

I do hope that Adrien's given some sort of role in his own freeing though. Even if he can't get to a better place on his own, he should be allowed to get at least partway there.

I do think that Marinette isn't necessarily the best person to try and help with an abusive family situation, since like you said she doesn't really understand it that well, but there isn't a perfect candidate for the role either. Felix and Kagami definitely understand (and Kagami's circumstances are nearly as bad as Adrien's), but if anything they're worse at navigating that sort of thing than Adrien is. They really need an adult who's actually gotten out of an abusive family situation to help with this I think. Failing that, Plagg's probably the most understanding, comforting option.

One option is that Ilmari was possessed. By the the Dark Presence and his brother Jaakoppi wanted to cover for him. But due to historical conflicts (hostility against Finnish immigrants, the language barrier) people misread/mistranslated Ilmari’s sudden possessed behaviour in a very bad light. And back in the 20s people were less familiar with the DP so they also didn’t know how to fight or counter it 😪 Ilmari starting similar to Ilmo, happy and energetic but unlike Ilmo the DP wears him down bit by bit and infliences him stronger. Usuallu Jaakoppi can break through the DP’s influence but at one point he doesnt and it’s what gets him killed (similar to what happens in Ilmo’s nightmare in the manuscript description)

If trad women were really more attractive to men, then the more popular trad infliencers like Estee Williams and Alida Simone wouldn't have to constantly sexualize themselves. Notice how men don't seem to lust over women like The Transformed Wife.

Anon, (generally speaking) the goal of a tradwife is to be lusted over by her husband only. Tradwives don't have a goal of being more attractive to men. It's actually about lifestyle, personal values, and becoming a virtuous and feminine woman. No woman -trad or otherwise- is forced to sexualize herself in order to be considered attractive and I would argue that it might even work against them in certain circles.

With all that in mind, why does it matter? Why is it important for trad women to be "more" attractive? Isn't it enough to just live the way you want to live? Why does a woman need men to lust over her in order to have worth? I pray all trad women can find the peace that The Transformed Wife has. She is attractive to her husband and is happy. She doesn't need the attention from other men and is better for it.
