how would boba and fennec interact with din and grogu in a role swap au? would they meet in the same way except this time grogu fights the dragon and recovers boba's armor? would grogu help them with the pikes? would they even get to meet din since I don't think they ever technically met grogu in canon?

Grogu fights the krayt dragon and retrieves Boba's armour from Cobb! He thinks it looks really familiar, and he actually does figure it out who it belongs to (he'd have already been kicking around the galaxy when Fett was making names for himself) though, he probably just assumes he's dead. The conversation he and Boba have on Tython is less 'are you a jedi?' And more 'dude are you, like, immortal? How's the sarlacc feel (bad).'

Oouf. Yeah, Fennec and Boba definitely never get to meet Din. Din especially doesnt even return in tbobf (which Grogu does help out in, because he's listless and adrift and needs something to fight for, because if he dies then it'll at least have meaning, instead of the...alternative). Boba would rather (one of) his best fighters be at their best but, like, there's nothing he can actually do

Years after though, when Din does finally come back (he lasts longer with Skywalker, though doesnt finish his training either), he does find Grogu on Tatooine again! Then he gets to meet Boba and Fennec :D
