OC ASKS: which OC is the most fun to draw (if you want, you can draw them)?

Honestly, probably my newest D&D character Leaf! They have so many seemingly innocuous little details in their design that actually have a lot of meaning behind them!

For example, their bangs cover their eyes because, due to their sensory issues and as a side-effect of vitiligo, their eyes are extremely sensitive to light and the hair helps filter most of it out. Its also a bit of a nod to the fact that their race (a homebrew mix of halfling and goblin) has darkvision, and it kinda explains why they have such bad luck with their perception checks lol

part 1/? because I'm planning to draw my headcanons of the rest of the family too! 💙💙, my headcanons and thought process below the cut ꒰⁠⑅⁠ᵕ⁠༚⁠ᵕ⁠꒱⁠˖⁠♡ (I'm insane) (I'm gonna ramble a lot)

FIRST !! His casual outfit (+ other small things) (this is going to be very long)

first things first i wanted him to be very blue because it helps me differentiate each sibling (+ steph) and have a color pallette because I'm not a character designer at all and if you ask me to combine colors I'll cry in agony, so Dick obviously got blue!! HOWEVER I didn't want to give him bright BRIGHT blue because i wanted dick to look, not soft? but approachable. I hc him to work with kids, maybe as a teacher or as an instructor, because I can't see him as a cop at all (aside from undercover maybe, which if i remember correctly is why he was a cop in the first place) in the long-term—and so I used colors that are mostly soft / not very bright because they're not very stimulating for kids or could distract them too much, and can also tend to be sorta soothing / calming ?? soft colors can help kids focus and soothe them

which is what brings me to my other point, which was drawing with small details to make him look more welcoming and approachable and not threatening at all, at least not as dick grayson, was giving him bushy eyebrows, messy hair and big(?) eyes!! there's not big explanation to that, just that when giving him small details like those i try to follow the theme i gave him in the first place

Aside from that, I like to think his bad fashion sense is a conscious decision. As in he knows how to dress properly, and he can design good suits, but he consciously chooses obnoxious things or things that don't match just for the giggles. Why not. (I'm a firm believer that Discowing should come back it was a great suit). He dresses very well but some days he will show up at the Manor looking like an unicorn threw up on him and being a walking fashion crime and acts unaware to it. Why not.

Other small thing is the necklace!! i was going to draw it to be a four-leaf clover but couldnt draw it so it just ended like that. It has a picture of himself + his fam, a picture that Tim took, so Dick edited Tim's face into the photo with photoshop so in the middle of it there's Tim's floating face

I also hc Dick with another height! I know he's 5'10", which is close to 178cm if I'm correct, but I actually hc him to be shorter, and to be small since he was a kid but having The Growth Spurt when he was around or so! It's only a few cms, I just hc him to be 174cm lol, it's only a 4 cm difference

Last thing which is totally self-indulgent, those dark spots on Dick's neck, knuckles and elbows are because I hc him to have insulin resistance! Because I do since I was a kid, and because why not. I looked it up and it's apparently called 'Acanthosis nigricans' (im fully healthy btw dont worry 👊), I just wanted Dick to have it

I also hc Dick to be genderqueer and bi&demisexual but that has nothing to do with his design

This was more easier and there's not a lot of different things, but I added some things I like,

Since Dick has long hair, and I'm a firm believer of the fact that hairstyles change how someone can perceive you/recognize you (or maybe I just have bad memory and can't memorize faces at all), I made him tie his hair but also have it a bit more messy, to change from his usual hair look (which is leaving his hair down)

Aside from that, I just added more blue to his suit by adding a few things, his collar (which is the best part of his discowing suit!!!!!!! aside from the colors!!!!), and gave him back his gauntles which I can't draw so they look strange! That, and I gave him a belt with small.bags??? things??? (HOW ARE THEY CALLED IN ENGLISH) where he keeps some stuff he needs like smoke bombs etc etc, they're not filled with those trinkets and are very light so they won't bother him when he does his flips, and it's tied very well so it won't fall off (it happened). so now he can store things on his belt and on his gauntlets instead of his sticks that I forgot how they're called in english

and now...... The Child (aka Devil incarnate)

Following the same theme of looking approaching and good and blahblah but even more. I made his hair curlier because unlike Older Dick who actually tries to brush it and fails miserably, when he was younger he didn't care and climbed every single furniture in the Manor whenever Alfred tried to force him to brush it, inspired by the fact I used to hate to brush my hair as a kid

He also has those dark marks because of the insuline resistance, and I gave him knee pads (?) because there's no way Bruce would let him out like that with only That costume as protection. Overall I didn't change a lot from the canon design?

He's also short, because why not. It makes it funnier to think about being a criminal and a literal 8 year old who barely reaches a bit above ur hip beats your ass. i wouldn't show my face ever again .

I also hc that he Put the fear of god into the rogues gallery (i dont remember how theyre called as a group in english im gonna cry). while Jason did that with the gotham criminals(not rogues, but others, he was cute and all but also very VICIOUS against them, especially those who messed with kids . robin gave him the magic but the magic to break their collarbones, but this isnt about him), Dick was very very VERY annoying to them. the Joker hates him because Dick loudly says how the Joker sucks as a clown and has an obnoxiously long list of every single way the Joker fails as a clown. The Riddler hates him. Penguin hates him. Everyone hates him. They hear a kid laugh and are like '😨 ROBIN' even though Robin is now an adult man. he gave them ptsd. u know that creepy kid laugh? thats exactly how dick laughed to creep them out. it also creeped out the gotham criminals but Dick was specially mean to the gotham rogues . imagine being one of them and after going through the nightmare that is meeting an 8 year old (truly traumatizing) that later kicked ur ass, is hearing robin get sleepy and having to go home because he has a bedtime. a kid with a bedtime beat you. a kid who has to go to school and has to learn how to count to 1000 beat you. I would cry

A small thing I like to think even if it's not included is that in one of his pockets he keeps candies !! both for him and for kids he saves with batman. Batman checks he's not eating all of them because what's worse than an angry and hyperactive eight year old is an angry and hyperactive eight year old mid-sugar rush. no one recovered after that night.

getting leaf to eat enough food to have me comfortable in giving him his insulin is a hassle because hes kinda just licking the gravy off the chunks then abandoning it, so i need to follow him to wherever he lays down after and put his dish down in front of him. only THEN will he actually eat the chunks. like smh boy i cant give you insulin on an empty stomach you can go hypoglycemic. fool boy. did you not read the diabetes pamphlet the vet gave us

Eric sung a few lines of ‘Jesus Loves The Little Children’ in a creepy horror movie voice and then sprung out from his hiding spot and started blasting on an unsuspecting youth who got too close, chasing him down the field with rarely shown athleticism.

Cartman looked incredibly bored as he clicked the magazine and snapped it back into place. “Well fuck me for being prepared.”

Cartman scoffed. “He’s not doing anything but staring up at you like he’s Sleeping Goddamn Beauty and you just kissed him out of a coma.”

“Awww, looook, you guys! They’re having a gay little hurt/comfort moment again! What, you gonna kiss it better, Kahl?”

Cartman had planted himself into the passenger seat, munching away at that bag of funyuns. He glanced back. “What’s the ‘sitch, Ken-Possible?”

“Yep.” Cartman said through a mouthful of eggs. “Plus, Clyde has an affair going with the town vet, Butters is a total twink, and Stanny boy has a boner for the Jew.”

Oh dear god. Cartman was NOT about to babysit the argumentative dickhole while the housekeeper worked. As much fun as he was to fight with, Kyle was a fierce opponent, and Cartman wasn’t really in the mood. He’d had a weird night. The cats had been on edge.

a/n: NEW CHARACTER ALERT! It took me a while to bring you guys someone new, but here he is. Keeping my promise to write for all of Rob's characters at least once, here's Shane who stole our hearts in only a little over 6 minutes.

"Hey, do you have zinc left?" A voice behind you called.

"Yeah, pick a colour," you chuckled, pointing at your backpack while you carefully waxed your board.

Shane wasn't a stranger, but he also wasn't exactly your friend. He was more like an acquaintance, you bumped into each other sometimes at the Aileens and maybe talked for a minute or two, but so far that was it.

He was a nice guy, weirdly strong for how skinny he looked, and although his hair was definitely influenced by 2000s emo boy bands, he wasn't bad looking. In fact, you caught yourself looking forward to seeing him at times, not that you ever said anything.

"Oh shit…" Shane muttered, seeing the time on your phone when he tried to find the zinc.

"Everything okay?" You asked, suddenly worried he saw something you didn't even know you had in your bag. Your mind went through the endless possibilities from used condoms to dead rat, from bloody pads to human remains, maybe drugs or a copy of Fifty Shades of Grey.

"I forgot to take my insulin," he sighed, grabbing his own backpack to check if he even brought it.

"You're diabetic?" You mused. You felt stupid for not knowing, but it's not like the subject would've come up in conversation between you two.

"Mmhm," he nodded, taking the pen injector out and smiling. "Oh thank God I don't have to go all the way back home."

Although he seemed relieved to have found the medication, his face also clearly let his worry show. Even after a couple years of his diagnosis, Shane still wasn't so good at injecting himself and he was still quite scared of needles, which left him embarrassed whenever he had to do it in public.

He scrunched up his nose and looked at the applicator as if considering if that was a good idea or if he should just go home and ask for his mother's help again. On a good day, it took him about fifteen minutes just to get the nerve to do it, but he was already past his time and truly didn't wanna seem like a wimp in front of you.

"What is it?" You finally asked.

"Um… nothing."

"Are you scared?"

"I'm just not a fan of needles, that's all," Shane chuckled nervously, trying to sound as chill as possible.

You wanted to smile, it was adorable the way his voice faltered a little and how he tried to seem so nonchalant about the whole thing when he was clearly shaking like a leaf.

"You know, my little sister is diabetic, I've done this for her a few times, do you want me to try?" You offered without even thinking first. You were not that intimate, but somehow you just couldn't watch him struggle and do nothing about it.

"Really? Would you?" His face lit up.

"Yeah, no problem," you assured.

When he turned around for you to unzip his suit though, then you realized what you were doing and all the blood rushed to your face. You reached for the zipper and slowly pulled it down, exposing his back and his (quite nice) shoulders.

He pulled the suit off and you were able to see the lean muscles on his arms, the discreet treasure trail that started on his navel, and the adorable mole he had near his collarbone.

"Everything alright?" He asked this time noticing how you were paralyzed just staring.

"S-sure, sorry, I was just trying to remember if I locked the door when I left," you spewed the first bullshit excuse that popped into your head. "Can I do it?"

"Please," he set the right dosage and handed you the injector along with the little disinfectant tissue to clean the area before.

"Alright, look at me, don't focus on that," you instructed as you carefully wiped a spot on the side of his stomach. "When did you start surfing, Shane?"

"Well, I-" he flinched when he felt the needle approaching his skin, pulling away from you and almost making you laugh. "Sorry, I'll stay still."

"It's okay, just focus on the story," you encouraged, moving as fast as you could while still trying to do things swiftly enough for him not to notice.

"I started when I was ten, I saw Green Iguana and really wanted to do it myself," Shane started, not even realizing as you punctured his skin and pressed the top. "I didn't have lessons or anything, I just borrowed my mate's board and watched lots of videos for beginners, he helped me a little too…"

"All done," you put the cover back on the pen and gave it back to him. "But I'd love to hear more about how you started."

"Jesus, you really are good at that!" He gasped, looking down at his stomach in awe. "How did you do it so fast?"

"A magician never reveals their tricks," you teased. "Besides, if I tell you, you'll never ask me to do it again."

"Do it again?" Shane repeated, a little puzzled by the suggestion.

"Come on, the waves are looking great right now," you took your board before he could think more about the implications of what you just said.

"Wait! Wait, you really don't mind doing this for me?" Shane asked, taking his board as well and following you to the ocean.

You shook your head, involuntarily letting your eyes linger a little too long on his naked chest, which certainly made you blush once again.

"How about I thank you?" He finally seemed to understand why you were so flustered every time you two met and he had to admit he also felt that way. "We can grab something to eat on the way back, my treat."

"I'll think about it," you smirked before taking off and jumping in the water. "But you'll have to catch me first!"

As you sat in the chair seated front and center to Jervis explaining his latest scheme, you couldn't help but laugh at his tactics. God he was so cute when he rambled..

"I'm thinking we strike from here, that way the bat won't find us till later that evening." Jervis explained, pointing at the dock.

"You're counting on him to come?" You ask, twirling the spoon in your porcelain tea cup with small blue flowers decorated on the sides. "Well he does every other time, might as well prepare for the brute.." He grumbled, angrily writing that down in his notebook.

You nodded in agreement. Suppose you hadn't thought of that before. "How does he even know we're there.." you stopped mid sentence. Your entire body began to feel stiff, yet when you looked down you noticed your trembling tea cup. Placing it on a nearby table only confirmed your suspicions. "E-Excuse me, I'm gonna use the bathroom." As soon as you said that, you practically ran off toward a small area where you could check your blood sugar.

Rummaging through your bag, you looked for your glucose monitor everywhere. You took it everywhere! Did you leave it at home today? Fuck! Didn't matter. Just pop a glucose tablet and you'll be fine.. you hoped. After doing so, all you could try was playing it cool. You're definitely not going to pass out soon, just need to get a little something to eat..

Looking at the table, you remembered. Jervis can really only cook one thing. Sweets. It wouldn't last long if you just had that, this wasn't good. Time to bounce.

"Sorry, Jervis. I just remembered I have something tomorrow to do. Gotta head out.. Like now." You exclaimed, grabbing your items and booking it for the door.

"Oh, alright! Is everything alright, bunny?"

"Yes, everything's fine! Get off my ass!" Oh jesus. You didn't mean to yell at him, but you did. Jervis could sense something was off, so he didn't really mind. "No need to shout, do you want to to tell me what's bothering you?" He asked, patting the chair you sat on. You sighed and nodded, realizing you've never told him about this side before.

"It's not you, it's me. My blood sugar lowers sometimes, and I get all kinds of... fucked." You explained away what happened. The nausea you'd get, the tremors, even the mood swings. Jervis nodded, worriedly looking at you. "I would've been more prepared, but this honestly slipped my mind. I've been having such a good few weeks lately!"

Jervis sighed, patting your hand and getting up, grabbing a large plate of appetizers. "Well, what kind of host would I be if I didn't have.." He revealed the items on the plate, making you excitedly gasp. "Tea Sandwiches!"

Long acting sources of sugar! PROTEIN! you could kiss him! Before Jervis could get another word in, you grab at least five and chow them down. Of course, you were violently nauseas and shaking like a winter leaf, but you had a mission. "Slowly, Slowly! Please do not choke." Jervis laughed, rubbing your back.

You took a moment and gave him a hug, squeezing your hatter as strong as you could manage.

"Thank you, Jervis.. "

"No need to thank me, my bunny.."

SIRAAA MY DEAREST!!! AAAA THIS ONE IS THE HARDEST ONE!!! Okay I have done my best but you’re lucky I didn’t do a top ten list

1. Lemur leaf frog!! There was a study I read in high school (so way back when) that they secrete a mucus that stimulates the same as insulin!! Isn’t that fucking cool!

2. Hairy frog also known as the Wolverine frog! Not only is their hair so cool but it also serves a function of getting more oxygen in their system :0

He threatened before letting her limp body go, Rose took over and attacked him, she ripped out some wires but since she attacked from behind Eclipse didn’t notice the change. It was just the eyes that changed, it knocked him out for a bit. Rose made Lunar swear not to tell anyone she exists, if Eclipse found out he’d get rid of her..and Clover both.
