Ok history/geography/culture lesson:

Kangaroos take the train because it's the most effect way of getting somewhere in a place as big and empty as Australia.

Our sheep cannot take the train as the vast majority of them are highland sheep which isn't accessible by train.

So the kangaroos drive the trains so they can control their public transport, the humans just hop on whichever train is the closest to the location they need (however you should consider investigating if Oz is human or kangaroo)

Moving to another Country must be hell: you find yourself in a place that's different from what you've always experienced up to that point, and you need to get used to it as soon as possible because there's no coming back anytime soon. And if you apply this to when the internet was still a privilege, it must've been worse.

Up to the 2000s, USA was always advertised as "the land of Freedom", a place where to start a new, easier life and be happy! Of course, if you ignore the high living costs, like healthcare or even just groceries... But how could you know it, without direct word of it?

So, when the Beetles moved to US, they had, as I already mentioned, been scammed for the house, and found themselves in a bad situation. I imagine it might've been hard for them to get used to, well, EVERYTHING. Especially assholes.

I imagine Sydney tried to get a job in a public place but was always turned down because "your accent is too thick; it might scare the customers away." He got the job at Mr. Boss' company thanks to Betty (because she and Wally's mom started hanging out more as their kids were best friends). Until then, he took up whatever he could to help his family.

But the feeling of "not belonging" never left them. It was different for Wally, since they moved when he was little and he easily got used to the surroundings while growing up into it. They still did their best for Wally and all the rest.

Moving on, remember the team of Aussies Syd played with in "Operation: M.I.S.S.I.O.N."? They didn't seem like they knew Mr. Boss because of how they acted around him.

I think they are people outside Syd's work (also looking at the different ages they might have). Then where they are from (except, y'know, Oz)?

Totally invented this but: I think they met in an Australian Goodies Convenience Store or something like that. Imagine: you've now spent years feeling like an outcast, probably missing some stuff you only had at home (in the 2000s it was hard to find stuff from other Countries around). And one day, you stumble upon this shop that has ALL THINGS you missed and MORE: also PEOPLE who understand what you're talking ABOUT!

In "Operation: B.R.E.A.K.U.P.", Wally's mom says she needs to "buy Joey kangaroo milk", and something as specific as that could only be found in a dedicated Australian shop, I'm more than sure about it.

So yeah. They have this little place that finally makes them feel at home, talking to people who understand their struggles and are up to hang out with them to have fun.

It's a little reward for someone, but a BIG one for others who want/need it.

How would Vox, Alastor, and Mourningstar Lucifer handle their darling little baby having a nightmare? Their little has such a bad dream that they are nonverbal and won't let go of them or try to fall back asleep due to how scared she is.

Vox and Alasot are oddly enough very similar. They're not exactly sure what to say or do beyond the usual platitudes of "there, there, it's okay" and rubbing her back while holding her closely. Where they differ is how they might help them feel better after they've calmed down a little. Vox would opt for the visual with things like Captain Kangaroo, Romper Room, The Uncle Al Show, Howdy Doody, or newer things like Sesame Street. Or maybe a movie like The Wizard of Oz, Cinderella, Snow White and the Eeven Dwarves, Lady and the Tramp, basically anything Disney pre- 2000s era Like I said he's partial to the classics himself, specifically American classics, though if his Little has something they want to see that's newer he won't object I imagine he becomes a big fan of Studio Ghibli movies and other things, would love it if during the musical movies his Little busted out into song, would likely record it for personal viewing later since if he shares it with Velvette she will definitely post it.

Now Alastor on the other hand will either listen to old radio programs with you, different music and songs and such. He might even listen to newer (still pre 50s) radio shows like Buck Rogers, Dick Tracy, Flash Gordon, Lassie, Little Orphan Annie, and The Land of the Lost with them. He likes the stuff of his time sure, but honestly the radio shows only improved on the medium, unlike the trash of the newfangled hip poppy techno screeching malarkey of the modern era.

Both would sleep with them if prompted, or Vox would let them have Vark in your bed for the night if they asked. They would wait until their Little were in deep sleep to leave if they didn't ask for them to stay though.

Normal Lucifer and Mourningstar have pretty similar methods, however Mourningstar is much more concerned about his princess going nonverbal if this is the first time it's happened, what if his babygirl never speaks to him again?!

They both hold them close and sing little songs to them, either lullabies or just silly little rhymes they made up. When things were calmed down they'd ask if their Little wanted to talk now, but if not that was fine. They'd make a late night drink of hot chocolate to help further calm them down and lift their spirits. It'll be like their own little tradition.
