Penny got a new outfit

Honestly it's not bad I like the red hat. And compared to the other ones Penny looks like she got a lot more care put into her pose and expression. I think Garry Locke might like drawing her.

This applies to almost all of Garry Locke's art but I can't get on board with the head to shoulder ratio here. Also something about Zoey's expression is off putting in particular her mouth.

This Harlow looks like he just got caught committing a crime.

This Isaac looks like a combo of a precious moments character and a kitten.

I'm also not on board for the make everything look shiny aspect of the style and Grady is practically iridescent. He's got shampoo commercial levels of hair shine. Also his canonical eye color is green. I don't think fanart needs to/should be cannon compliant because everyone having at least slightly different picture of the AiO characters is absolutely beautiful and a strength of the medium. However, if we're paying someone to make more Offical art, it should be based off the descriptions from the actual show and not previous art.

Trent is also very shiny. Not quite what I have in my head but if his head fit him right I wouldn't have a problem with it.

They edited Alex's face and I agree that it is an improvement. If I'm remembering correctly this one has a better grasp of the angle he is being drawn at.

Like Charley had predicted, the Stamp Act didn't impact the Tates all too much. Yes, he caught word of protests in Boston and York City and up and down the colonies, but no such thing occurred in Henford-on-Bagley. The townsfolk went on with their lives, the only change being that they bought less books and paper.

So the year was one of peace and rest. Nothing very notable happened, and that was perfectly alright. Nothing notable mean nothing wrong.

Hey, sorry if you have answered this before, but what is the reason you decided to name your book "The God key"? (Asking out of curiosity, it's a very neat title)

“Help me defeat her,” Gabriel said, caressing his thumb over the bruises on Isaac’s cheek. “Cooperate with me. Talk to me. And once she’s dealt with, I won’t try and hold you and she won’t be able to hurt you. I’ll wipe all record of you from anyone’s head so no one will know what you can do or what you once did, and then I’ll let you go. The world will leave you alone. You’ll never see or hear from me again, I promise.” That was what Isaac wanted, wasn’t it? More than anything. Never let it be said that he didn’t listen.

Isaac wavered.

A power like Isaac’s, perhaps everyone wanted a piece, didn’t they? Who wouldn’t? Isaac Morton was the key that could turn a powered human into a god, with a touch of his hand.

With Isaac, all of Gabriel’s dreams and perfect futures were possible. Everything that he once thought bled out on their bedroom floor, with two slashed wrists and too many questions left unanswered. Isaac thought he didn’t understand it – the fear of being used. He did. He got that, if little else. Isaac just didn’t understand that sometimes the ultimate use was more important than the using.

Basically, I picked the title because it reflects some of the central themes/ideas/plot points in the novel, and also felt like a decent match with the genre (fantasy) And I thought it sounded cool. Which we all know is the most important bit haha

AiO Though of the Week

There is 100% a child in Odyssey who has developed an unhealthy attachment to one of the characters in the imagination station. Like we've already had a kid who almost had a meltdown because he thought the first time he ever experienced true friendship was all a simulation. Just imagine what would have happened if Sam actually wasn't real and Isaac just had to deal with the fact that this kid he built a friendship with was just a bunch of code and his own fantasy.

Rather than seeming caught off-guard, an enthusiastic staff person takes Joseph to see a cat she insists is exactly what he wants.

Joseph tells himself he’ll reserve judgment in spite of the excitement he feels at those words, but he immediately falls in love with the large black cat he’s presented, even before he’s told its name (Isaac) or sex (male), because Isaac is perfect.

He has gentle, inquisitive eyes, a delicate meow, and a soothing purr. He is six years old.

Joseph asks why Isaac was abandoned, and is given the explanation that he wasn’t abandoned, but bereaved: his previous owner passed away a couple of months ago, and Isaac has been waiting for a new companion ever since.

Isaac, Rose, and Lucy were talking on the sofa one day in late March of 1765 when Charley came in with a letter. He was reading as he walked into the room, coming to a stop by the fireplace. Once finished reading, he let out a long breath.

"Father, what are you reading?" asked Rose.

Charley hesitated, then slowly said, "Parliament has passed an act. The Stamp Act. All paper products must be printed on stamped paper, specially made in London, and costing extra money.

Isaac raised his head, and he and Charley shared a look.

"Rosie, take Lucy, will you?" Isaac handed the toddler to Rose - who began tickling her mercilessly - then stood and walked over to Charley.

"Stamp Act?" he whispered, so as not to let the girls hear. "What does that mean for us?"

"Nothing terrible," said Charley, though he didn't seem so sure. "We'll just have to refrain for buying so many books, is all."

"And cards. And paper."

"Yes. But look on the bright side - our king is finally putting his foot down, telling us colonists that we are, in fact, Englishmen, and under his rule, despite being separated by sea."

Isaac nodded, but he was still thinking about their finances, already threatening to plunge.

Charley was still talking. "Some fool is going to protest, and that fool shall be killed, and then all of the colonies will rise up. Mark my words, Isaac, it will happen."

Little did Charley know how close his own family would be to the chaos.
