Les jumelages provençaux-piémontais Gemellaggio provenzale-piemontese

Sur les sites Annuaire-Mairie et jumelage.xyz, j’ai recensé trente-neuf jumelages Provence-Piémont. Des communes de Provence ont choisi de mettre en place un jumelage avec des communes du Piémont pour diverses raisons.

Cela peut être la proximité géographique comme Isola(06) et Vinadio(CN), distantes d’un peu plus de 30 kilomètres par les petits chemins ou bien Tende(06) et Narzole(CN) (85 km à pied) ou encore Cap d’Ail(06) et Limone Piemonte(CN) (90 km à pied). Deux voisins encore plus proches, distants d’environ vingt kilomètres, sont en cours de jumelage. Il s’agit de la communauté de communes du Val d’Oronaye(04) regoupant Larche et Meyronnes qui va s’unir avec Bersezio Argentera(CN).

Des communes peuvent se jumeler pour des raisons d’homonymie comme Villefranche sur Mer(06) et Villafranca d’Asti(AT).

Elles peuvent aussi se rapprocher grâce à des liens affectifs. Ainsi, Néoules(83) et Diano d’Alba(CN) ont eu un coup de cœur l’une pour l’autre suite à la visite, dans la commune italienne, d’une délégation d’élus  néoulais, venus sur la terre natale du grand-père de l’un d’eux, comme l’explique le site de la ville de Néoules.

En ce qui concerne les liens unissant Hyères(83) et Valloriate(CN), c’est une évidence car de nombreux hyérois ont des ancêtres venus de Valloriate. Cette idée de jumelage entre Valloriate et plus précisément la vallée de Sauvebonne, une des fractions d’Hyères, Robert PUCCINELLI (1946- 2006) y songeait depuis 1995, comme le raconte Guy RUBIO dans son ouvrage sur la vallée de Sauvebonne. Mais un jumelage ne pouvant se faire entre une fraction de commune et une commune, il a donc été établi un protocole d’amitié, en 2001. Il est regrettable que le site de la ville d’Hyères ne mentionne plus ces liens d’amitié. Ils sont pourtant encore bien ancrés dans la mémoire des hyérois. La ville d’Hyères fait seulement part d’un accord de coopération signé avec Cuneo en 2015. Pour rappel, Cuneo(CN) est jumelée avec Nice(06) depuis 1984.

D’autres communes peuvent avoir des intérêts économiques en commun comme Breil sur Roya(06) et Borgo-san-Dalmazzo(CN) qui sont toutes deux situées sur la ligne ferroviaire qui relie Nice et Vintimille à Cuneo et Turin. Cette ligne du train des Merveilles, bientôt centenaire, est menacée de fermeture depuis des années à cause d’arbitrages budgétaires et de désaccords sur la répartition des coûts d’exploitation entre la France et l’Italie. La SNCF qualifie ce circuit comme l’un des plus beaux paysages ferroviaires d’Europe. Il est vrai que les tunnels hélicoïdaux qui permettent de franchir les dénivelés en douceur sont une merveille sans parler des paysages à couper le souffle.

Pour ceux qui comme moi, auraient envie de prendre ce train, la ligne est fermée pour travaux jusqu’à la fin de l’année 2025.

Certaines communes jumelles ont des liens culturels très forts. Ainsi Puget-Ville(83) qui est jumelée à Roccaforte Mondovi(CN) propose des cours d’italien tous les vendredis. A Châteaurenard(13) qui est jumelée à Villanova d’Asti(AT) des échanges entre élèves des deux nationalités sont organisés. Il en est de même entre Digne-les-Bains(04) et sa jumelle Borgomanero(NO).

D’autres communes ont d’anciens liens historiques comme Reillane(04) et Roccasparvera(CN). En effet, aux 14ème et 15ème siècles, les BOLLERIS, châtelains de Roccasparvera règnent aussi sur la vicomté de Reillane.

Des communes mettent en valeur leurs savoir-faire artisanaux ou leurs spécialités culinaires.

En 2015, à l’occasion des vingt ans du jumelage avec Vernante(CN), huit verriers de Biot(06) ont réalisé un Pinocchio en verre. Il faut savoir que Vernante est réputée pour ses nombreuses fresques du pantin de bois exécutées il y a trente ans par l’ancien facteur du village, Bruno CARLETTO. Il s’est inspiré des dessins du premier illustrateur de Pinocchio, Attilio MUSSINO (1878- 1954), qui a fait don de toute sa collection au village.

Beausoleil(06) organise chaque année la remise de « La Truffe Blanche », une distinction qui récompense un grand chef de la gastronomie française. Elle est jumelée à Alba(CN) qui n’est autre que la capitale de la truffe blanche.

Toujours, dans le domaine de la truffe, Ménerbes(84) a son Petit Marché de la Truffe qui se déroule le dimanche après Noël. Il s’agit de la truffe noire. Elle est jumelée à Grinzane Cavour(CN) qui porte le nom du comte de CAVOUR (1810- 1861), principal artisan de l’unité italienne et qui en a été le maire.   Grinzane Cavour se trouve à 5 kilomètres d’Alba et c’est dans l’ancien château du comte de CAVOUR que l’Ordre des chevaliers de la truffe et des vins d’Alba y a son siège.

Une délégation de Peveragno(CN) fait le déplacement à Solliès-Pont(83), tous les deux ans, à l’occasion de la fête de la figue qui a lieu fin août.

Il ne faut pas, non plus, oublier les nourritures spirituelles. En 2016, le comité de jumelage d’Eyguières(13) a été invité à la béatification de Don Giacomo ABONDDO (1720-1788) qui a été prêtre de Tronzano Vercellese(VC) pendant trente-et-un ans.

Souvent une rue de la commune porte le nom de sa jumelle. On trouve une rue Perosa Argentina(TO) au Plan de la Tour(83) ou une place Cunico(AT) à Montferrat(83) ou encore une rue Terdobbiate(NO) à Saint Julien le Montagnier(83). Il existe une salle Magliano Alfieri(CN) à Riez(04).

Les plus anciens jumelages entre des communes de Provence et des communes du Piémont remontent à plus de cinquante ans maintenant. Arles(13) et Vercelli(VC) se sont jumelées en 1970, Castagniers(06) et Rocchetta Palafea(AT) en 1973 tandis que Barjols(83) et Garessio(CN) ont signé leur jumelage en 1974.

Des jumelages récents ont également vu le jour comme Cuges les Pins(13) et Chiusa di Pesio(CN) en 2015 ou bien Château Arnoux Saint Auban(04) et Caraglio(CN) en 2013, ou encore Mirabeau(84) et Rondissone(TO), en 2010.

Mais il faut entretenir régulièrement ces liens par des visites amicales dans l’une ou l’autre commune en organisant un tournoi de football ou une découverte du patrimoine local. Ainsi, vingt-quatre ans après la création du jumelage entre Le Val(83) et Ceva(CN), un nouveau comité de jumelage a été mis en place en 2016 pour redonner un nouveau souffle. Espérons que cette nouvelle dynamique soit toujours vivace. La municipalité de Saint André de la Roche(06) a également voulu se rapprocher de sa jumelle, Valperga(TO), en l’invitant, en 2023, à l’occasion de la fête patronale de Saint Grat.

De par la proximité de la Provence et du Piémont, les communes jumelées se situent entre une distance d’une trentaine de kilomètres jusqu’à 400 ou 500 kilomètres pour les communes des Bouches-du-Rhône. Ainsi Lançon de Provence(13) est à 525 km de Vogogna(VB), La Fare les Oliviers(13) se trouve à 450 km de Coggiola(BI) et Aureille(13) se situe à 428 km de Carisio(VC).

Les communes jumelées peuvent être de taille variable et sont souvent de taille moyenne comme Besse sur Issole(83), 3095 habitants et Verzuolo(CN) qui compte 6430 habitants ou encore Mane(04) qui a 1369 habitants et qui est jumelée à Chiaverano(TO) dont la population s’élève à 2150 habitants.

Elles sont parfois plus petites comme Villecroze(83) (1504 habitants) et Roburent(CN) (541 habitants) ou Falicon(06) (2111 habitants) et Castellino Tanaro(CN) (339 habitants) ou bien La Roquette sur Var(06) (234 habitants) et Monastero Bormida(AT) (1002 habitants) ou encore Saint Etienne les Orgues(04) (1297 habitants) et Torre Canavese(TO) (591 habitants).

Parfois, il y a une légère différence entre le nombre d’habitants comme La Brigue(06) qui a 741 habitants et qui est jumelée à Castelazzo Bormida(AL) qui a 4458 habitants ou encore Villars sur Var(06) avec ses 781 habitants jumelée à Cherasco(CN) où vivent 8623 habitants.

Mais la chaleur des relations entre deux villes jumelles ne s’évalue pas toujours proportionnellement au nombre d’habitants.

La pérennité des liens entre deux communes jumelées est souvent liée à la volonté et au dynamisme d’une petite équipe mais encore faut-il qu’elle ait le soutien logistique et financier de sa commune d’appartenance, ce qui s’avère de plus en plus difficile par les temps qui courent.

Il existe peut-être d’autres jumelages provençaux-piémontais et sans doute, d’autres protocoles d’amitié, n’hésitez-pas à m’en faire part.

Il mio sito Annuaire-Mairie e jumelage.xyz ospita i gemelli Trento della Provenza-Piemonte. Per diverse ragioni, alcune comunità della Provenza hanno deciso di stipulare accordi di gemellaggio con le comunità del Piemonte.

Si può viaggiare per prossimità geografica, come Isola (06) e Vinadio (CN), che distano solo 30 km da piccoli sentieri, come Tenda (06) e Narzole (CN) (85 km a piedi) o Cap d’Ail (06) e Limone Piemonte (CN) (90 km a piedi). Due vicini ancora più prossimi, distanti circa chilometri, sono in procinto di gemellarsi. Se cercate una comunità dei comuni della Val d’Oronaye (04) che si unisca a Larche e Meyronnes, vi unirete a Bersezio Argentera (CN).

I comuni possono essere gemellati per motivi di notorietà, come Villefranche sur Mer (06) e Villafranca d’Asti (AT).

È anche possibile essere colpiti da tensioni emotive. Così, Néoules (83) e Diano d’Alba (CN) si sono innamorati dopo aver visitato la cittadina italiana di una delegazione di eletti di Néoules, lasciati nella terra natale del nonno lupo, come si vede sul sito web della cittadina di Néoules.

Per quanto riguarda i nomi di Hyères (83) e Valloriate (CN), è ovvio che molti abitanti di Hyères hanno le loro radici a Valloriate. Robert PUCCINELLI (1946-2006) ha riflettuto sull'idea di un gemellaggio con Valloriate e più precisamente con la valle di Sauvebonne, una delle confraternite di Hyères, alla fine del 1995, come racconta Guy RUBIO nel suo lavoro sulla valle di Sauvebonne. Ma poiché il gemellaggio non avrebbe potuto aver luogo tra una parte del comune e un comune, nel 2001 si trattava ancora di una situazione di stabilità in un protocollo di amicizia. È un peccato che il sito web della città di Hyères non menzioni queste parole di amicizia. Tuttavia, sono ancora ben radicati nella memoria degli abitanti di Hyères. La città di Hyères ha annunciato un accordo di cooperazione fermo con la sola Cuneo nel 2015. Siamo d'accordo che Cuneo (CN) è gemellata con Nizza (06) dal 1984.

Breil sur Roya(06)

Altri comuni possono essere di interesse economico, come Breil sur Roya (06) e Borgo-san-Dalmazzo (CN) che si trovano sulla linea ferroviaria che collega Nizza e Ventimiglia a Cuneo e Torino. Questa linea del Treno delle Meraviglie, che presto compirà cento anni, è oggi a rischio a causa delle decisioni di bilancio e dei disaccordi sulla ripartizione dei costi di formazione tra Francia e Italia. La SNCF descrive questo circuito come uno dei più bei percorsi ferroviari d'Europa. È vero che il tunnel a spirale che permette di attraversarlo lentamente e con calma è una meraviglia, per non parlare del paesaggio mozzafiato.

Poiché sto per prendere questo treno, la linea è chiusa per lavori fino alla fine del 2025.

Alcune città gemellate vantano un'eredità culturale molto forte. Quindi Puget-Ville (83) che è gemellata con Roccaforte Mondovi (CN) offre corsi di italiano ogni venerdì. A Châteaurenard (13) gemellata con Villanova d’Asti (AT) sono stati organizzati scambi tra studenti di diversa nazionalità. Il percorso si snoda tra Digne-les-Bains (04) e la sua gemella Borgomanero (NO).

Altri comuni hanno antiche eredità storiche come Reillane (04) e Roccasparvera (CN). Infatti, nei secoli XIV e XV, i BOLLERIS, castelli di Roccasparvera, regnarono anche sul Visconte di Reillane.

Alcune persone mettono in mostra in modo comune il know-how dell'artigiano o le specialità culinarie dell'artigiano.

Nel 2015, in occasione del grande anniversario del gemellaggio con Vernante (CN), Otto Vetra di Biot (06) ha realizzato un Pinocchio in vetro. Vale la pena ricordare che Vernante è famoso per la feroce presenza del taglialegna che per trent'anni ha svolto la sua attività nell'ex postazione del paese, Bruno CARLETTO. Ispirati dai disegni del primo illustratore di Pinocchio, Attilio MUSSINO (1878- 1954) , che ha regalato al Paese gli interni della sua collezione.

Beausoleil (06) organizza ogni anno la presentazione di “La Truffe Blanche”, un premio che è stato consegnato da un grande chef della gastronomia francese. È gemellata con Alba (CN) che non è la capitale del tartufo bianco.

Sempre nel campo del tartufo, Ménerbes (84) ospita il suo Mercatino del Tartufo che parte la domenica dopo Natale. Questo è il tartufo nero. È gemellata con Grinzane Cavour (CN) che porta il nome del Conte di CAVOUR (1810- 1861), artefice principale dell'unità d'Italia e che non fu unita. Grinzane Cavour si trova a 5 chilometri da Alba ed è ospitato nell'antico castello dei Conte di CAVOUR, sede dell'Ordine dei Cavalieri del Tartufo e dei Vini d'Alba.

Una delegazione di Peveragno (CN) viene inviata ogni due anni a Solliès-Pont (83) per la celebrazione dei dossier che saranno pubblicati a fine agosto.

Non dobbiamo dimenticare il nutrimento spirituale. Nel 2016 il comitato di gemellaggio di Eyguières (13) è stato invitato alla beatificazione di don Giacomo ABONDDO (1720-1788) che fu sacerdote di Tronzano Vercellese (VC) per trentuno anni.

Spesso una via della città porta il nome della sua gemella. Troviamo una via Perosa Argentina (TO) a Plan de la Tour (83) o una piazza Cunico (AT) a Montferrat (83) o ancora una via Terdobbiate (NO) a Saint Julien le Montagnier (83). A Riez (04) è presente una sala Magliano Alfieri (CN).

I più antichi gemellaggi tra comuni della Provenza e comuni del Piemonte risalgono ormai a più di cinquant'anni fa. Arles (13) e Vercelli (VC) si gemellarono nel 1970, Castagniers (06) e Rocchetta Palafea (AT) nel 1973 mentre Barjols (83) e Garessio (CN) firmarono il gemellaggio nel 1974.

Così, ventiquattro anni dopo la creazione del gemellaggio tra Le Val (83) e Ceva (CN), nel 2016 è stato istituito un nuovo comitato di gemellaggio per dargli nuovo slancio. Speriamo che questa nuova dinamica rimanga viva. Anche il comune di Saint André de la Roche (06) ha voluto avvicinarsi al suo gemello, Valperga (TO), invitandolo, nel 2023, in occasione della festa patronale di San Grato.

Data la vicinanza della Provenza e del Piemonte, i comuni gemellati si trovano a una distanza compresa tra una trentina di chilometri e 400 o 500 chilometri per i comuni delle Bocche del Rodano. Così Lançon de Provence (13) dista 525 km da Vogogna (VB), La Fare les Oliviers (13) dista 450 km da Coggiola (BI) e Aureille (13) dista 428 km da Carisio (VC).

Ma il calore dei rapporti tra due città gemellate non sempre si misura in proporzione al numero degli abitanti.

La sostenibilità dei legami tra due comuni gemellati è spesso legata alla volontà e al dinamismo di un piccolo team, che tuttavia ha bisogno del supporto logistico e finanziario del comune di appartenenza, cosa che di questi tempi si rivela sempre più difficile.

Potrebbero esserci altri gemellaggi provenzali-piemontesi e, senza dubbio, altri protocolli di amicizia; non esitate a farmelo sapere.

really tired of having to prioritize online friendships because i have no way of making friends irl right now and those friends always have to prioritize their real life (like i should be able to) and after a whole year of this im so worn down and sad and sick. i want a job, literally any job, even an absolutely horrible one just to have some socialization. isolation is killing me and i cant stop it. this year was supposed to be about healing and getting better, and for the person i came here with, it has been. but not for me. its never for me.

Okay actually, while I'm thinking about it, folks who experience romance repulsion, what is the main feeling you would describe romance repulsion as?

At least for me I feel some combination of these things, but there is a clear winner in what it feels most-like. Please leave in the tags any specifics you can, I haven't ever actually heard people describe romance repulsion (or what specifically triggers it! Now that I'm thinking about it, please also add when you seem to feel it) and I'd love to feel less alone in a very specific feeling

Summary: you've been with the executioner for quite some time, enough for you to have your own special bond. You were his, and that fact alone was enough for the whole Silent Hill to avoid you, well aware of what they'll find out if they mess around. However, this little rule is unknown for any unfortunate newcomers that get trapped in this cursed town, and today you've met one of these newcomers... One would think, seeing monsters avoiding you like fire should be enough proof to do the same, but... Eh, some people are way too stubborn and blind.

(Y/N) been sitting on this old matress for quite some time, they've already tried any possible sitting position yet non made the book they're reading more interesting.

Pyramid Head, or how they began to call him, 'Pyra', left to hunt and punish whatever soul putrid enough to get his attention. He's been gone a good amount of hours and they haven't heard a single sound of his in the distance, no metal scraping against the concrete at the distance or any screams of agony from his victim, nothing. How many hours it been? Three? Five? It's tough to tell, specially when this town knows no day/night cycles and it's always foggy. Even though they're not sure how long it been, they can tell it's the longest Pyra's been gone.

They switch into a laying position as they begin to think about what to do now. They could totaly go out and take a walk if they wanted, but they're concerned they'll end up bumping into the people Pyra is hunting. No, they won't get punished but they don't want to witness a literal slaughter neither, and whenever something (literaly anything) dares to interact with (Y/N), the pyramid headed beast seems to go wild of fury.

This is some very serious issolation, but (Y/N) became fine with it and Pyra is not as bad of a company as he initialy was. Feel him close to them, his big palm resting against their body as a reminder that he's there, the random noises that come out his helmet whenever he seems content or wants to get their attention... To be honest, these little things became more than enough at this point, and it's not like they've used to be the most social butterfly anyways. And even if they were... Well, arguing with Pyra is useless, he never budges, and if (Y/N) starts to get unreasonable or the argument goes nowhere, he simply brushes his togue across their face, purpously waiting for the moment their open their mouth. And ta-da! Argument solved since (Y/N) is too shocked and flustered to continue and Pyra simply let's out a deep and amused rumble.

(Y/N) chuckles to themselves at this memory, when it happened the first time the face they made was probably priceless, and the way Pyra allowed them to hide their face in his chest so the shame goes away... Sigh, they hope he returns soon.

The hairs on the back of their neck stood up when they began to hear the sound of numerous people run and hurriedly yellsomething to each other. (Y/N) of course panics a bit, and to avoid any possible interaction with the group of people they sneak into the corner of the room near the door, so if anyone of the group peeks inside they won't notice (Y/N) right away. It also seems like the people are running away from something, something that is not Pyra because of the lack of known bulky footsteps and scraping sounds.

Unfortunately, their little plan went town the drain when the group of around five man bursted through the old door and attempted to close it, while the creature outside of it was desperately slaming itself against the wooden surface. (Y/N) turned completely still as they shrunk in their place, internally hoping that due to the intense moment these people wouln't notice then and would simply brush off their form as some inanimate object.

Unfortunately, one of the men did noticed them.

—"Hey Dave, there's another one hidin' over he-"—

The man couldn't finish the sentence as the creature from the other side managed to burst through the door, throwing the men on the ground in the process. Some of them stumble back, others pull out their weapons and point at the creature, who resulted to be a monster known as ‘Slurper’, take a guess why it's called that. Not the most difficult creature to deal with but definitely the trickiest, it’s very fast and definitely can handle or dodge some shots and hits from the group.

The monster crawls inside of the room, it’s elongated face making some slurping noises as drool and blood drips from its mouth. But the beast suddenly freezes mid-step, and very slowly and subtly turns it’s head towards (Y/N), making the men look at them as well. The monster suddenly lets out a whine, similar to that of a dog, and practically runs away at high speed, completely terrified.

The group stare at the door in shock, their mouth gaping a bit. (Y/N) remains stiff, their knees pressed to their chest as they think what to do now. The answer comes when one of the man, who seems to be the leader, stands up and starts walking towards them, his expression indescifrable, but his gaze definitely holding malice.

So (Y/N) jumps to their feet as fast as they could and make a run through the doorway and down the hallway. They can hear the group yell something as they chase them, their voices angry and irritated, which only motivated them to keep running since it’s now clear that these people weren’t kind at all.

Things turn significantly worse when they get grabbed by the back of their clothes and then tackled down on the floor, the impact was rough and quite painful which made (Y/N) release a pained whine. The man above them grabs a good chunk of their hair and presses their head agains the dirty and cold floor as he looks at them.

—“The fuck was that? How did you do it?!”— he exclaims strictly, his tone demanding.

—“D-Did what?… S-Scaring the- the monster th-thing?”— you nervously reply, your voice a bit shaky. —“I-It’s not really me, it’s the being tha-that ‘owns’ me.”—

(Y/N) knew they sound like they’re crazy, like they’re out of their mind, but it’s the best way they can explain their unusual situation. It is true, the executioner practically owns them, he has the power to claim and to keep them with him, to keep anyone and anything away from something his, to keep them eternally by his side, his and no one else's.

As expected, the man on top of them only scrunched his face with confusion and disgust, definitely thinking that (Y/N) is just another crazy ex-resident of this hellish town.

—“Yeah… Right.”— he slowly says.

—“Mathew, do you still have the tape? Bring it.”—

A clear sound of a duct tape being unwrapped made them shiver, uh-oh, they’re in a big-time problem. They attempt to wiggle out and keep running, but the man above them slams their head agains the floor.

—“Keep it still bitch, we just want to figure out what the fuck is wrong with you.”— he grumbles angrily and slams your head again.

(Y/N) could feel blood start dripping from their nose. Being forced to calm down since these men clearly aren't fooling around and are not afraid to hurt them if they need, they relax and allow another one to tape their wrists together behind their back, as well as their ankles.

—“You have no idea what you’re getting yourself into, the executioner will not have mercy…”— you comment, not even bothering to elaborate, knowing that these people are dead meat already.

—“Pff, executioner. If you’re of his property, then why were you in that room just chillin’ all by yourself?”— another man asks.

—“Because he can allow himself to do it, and because any smart creature knows to not fuck around me because of what they’ll found out.”— you say, your tone a bit sassier by the end.

—“Any smart creature, huh?”— the man that was on top of you suddenly grabs you by the throat. —“In my understanding, a smart creature will learn to shut the fuck up, I could easily cut your tongue off right now if I wanted but not sure if that will affect whatever effect you have on the monsters, so I'll give you one last chance to remain quiet, understood? You farm animal.”—

The grip on (Y/N)‘s throat was tight and it was hard to breathe, the male’s eyes were dark and cold, no hesitation in them as he said these threats, definetely not the first time he makes them. Believing his words, (Y/N) nods hurriedly as the lack of oxygen began to affect them. The man grins and let go of them roughly, basically throwing their body on the floor.

—“Aight, who’s going to carry their ass?”—

The men discuss for a short moment, until agreeing that the biggest one of them should do it. Ones everything was sorted out and (Y/N) was being manhandled in his grasp, the group resumed their walking.

The men were shocked, some of them even got smug, at the way the creatures avoided them now. What’s that? A monster does have guts to attack? A single sound or movement from (Y/N) was enough to set the creature from fight into flight. Each time something run away, the men would laugh and cackle loudly, clearly feeling like they've beat the system and are some sort of untouchable beings.

Silly bastards, they don’t know what awaits them.

It’s unclear how long they’ve been roaming around, but it was long enough for the group to get lost, again, and decide to take a rest. The man carrying (Y/N) carelessly (throws) puts them on the ground, face first, as the rest settle down as well. Non of the five bothered to talk or acknowledge (Y/N), though sometimes they would throw some random questions at them, but of course they'd never been able to finish the answer since one of the five would end up rudly interrupting them.

At some point (Y/N) began to ignore them, aware that they're nothing but a gag to these people. The youngest of the group seemed a bit pissed at being ignored, so he stands up and walks towards (Y/N)'s lying form, who was still paying no mind, and out of nowhere kicks them hard on their stomach, making the air inside of them leave in a violent exhale.

—"You talk and look at us when we speak to you."—

They say nothing, still trying to regain their breath. The man above them sighs and rolls his eyes before crouching down and grabbing them by their hair, to posteriorly pull them to their knees.

—"Listen sugar, just because you scare away the crap that lives here, it means shit to us. You're fuckin' helpless and at our mercy, so you do and act as told and when is told, understood?"—

Before (Y/N) could do anything, a sudden deafening roar resonated through the whole building and from an unknown direction. The noise similar to some huge unknown beast fiercely howling through something metallic. A shiver of anticipation ran through (Y/N)’s spine, Pyra must’ve found their drops of blood and figured out what happened, and now he’s on his way to take them back.

The other five noticeably tensed up and frantically looked around, as if trying to locate the creature through the walls...

Walls.

(Y/N)'s gaze was already focused on one of he walls, knowing that their lover would't waste his time in searching for an entrance. The man, who's still holding them by their hair, slowly drags his gaze to the same wall.

—"Guys..."— he says uneasily.

—"Yes, we heard that too, dumbass."— one of the other four hisses back.

—"No, guys, get away from the fuckin- "—

A loud crashing sound resonated behind the mentioned surface, followed by the well known heavy footsteps and scraping of metal. The other four quickly get behind the fifth and (Y/N), who was currently having the brightest grin on their face, relieved that he came for them.

—"{The fuck was that?!}"— one of the males yells half whispers to you.

—"That?"— you let a little hum as you close your eyes and look away so the dust doesn't get directly into your face. —"That is the reason why everything in here avoids me."— you say with the calmest tone possible.

—"Wha- "—

Another loud crash and a huge wave of dust cut off his question completely. While the dust was still on the air, the previous heavy footsteps were quickly approaching, making the floor shake with each step. When the men saw the silhouette of this massive unknown creature they paniced, since it showed no hits of stopping, quite the opposite actually. The one, that been holding (Y/N), pushes them roughly forward without thinking, actin on some desperate instinct.

—"Here! Take them instead!"—

The five were ready to run, but got stopped by their own shock when the monster reached out and caught (Y/N) before they fall on the ground. It was still hard to see what exactly the beast did, due to the still thick layer of dust, but the sudden loud and deep metallic growl that the beast let out was enough for them to defrost and set into running. They don't get too far though, since their legs get suddenly caught and tangled into a bunch of rusty wires and thorns coming out of the floor, whick held them still and cut their soft flesh with the mildest movement.

A small chill jolted through (Y/N) at the sight of the mysterious thorns. They knew it was Pyra's doing, he rarely used that hability of his and they learned that he only uses it when he's trully pissed. And he wasn't just that, he was livid. The sight of bruises on (Y/N)'s neck from the previous grab really railed the monster up, just how dares that filty mortal touch and mark something his? Only he has the privilege to touch (Y/N), to hold them, to look at them, to hear their voice and all the things they say in that calm and sweet tone they always use when they're happy... Just how dare they attempt to take all of this away from him? The executioner.

The monster tears the tape off (Y/N)'s wrists and ankles before putting them down, his movements a bit rough due his agitation yet he did his best to keep it under control.

He then rises to his full height, sword in hand, and slowly walks towards the group. The closer he got, the more desperate the man acted, pulling their legs out of the sharp wire-mess just for it to tangle around their limb even tighter.

The beast's first target was the youngest one, the one who had the guts to hold (Y/N) by their hair and threaten them, Pyra really didn't like that one.

The male has no time to even inhale to start begging, as the monster simply cuts him in half with his sword. (Y/N) of course didn't want to see the gore that is about to happen, so they carefuly and quietly leave the room through the hole their beast of a man made durning his enrance. The last thing they've seen before leaving was Pyra practically tearing one of the man up apart like paper, going specially slow to inflict even more pain.

(Y/N) is unsure how long it took Pyra to finish them, they simply remained sitted on the floor with their legs pressed against their chest and covering their ears to silence the screams and the wet gory sounds of muscles and bones breaking. They let out a yelp when their body is suddenly pulled up by a pair of large arms and is pressed agains a broad torso. Pyra held (Y/N) in this posessive embrace for quite a while, the mildes movement from them would make the beast growl and press them even closer.

(Y/N) however, still attempted to soothe their lover by gently nuzzling agains his chest and rub it with their hand.

—"I am so sorry..."— you apologize, though you both knew it wasn't really your fault. —"I was just hanging out in that room we've been before, and... And these people entered there while running away from another beast, and- "—

They couldn't finish the explanation since Pyra suddenly shoved their face further into his chest, muffing the rest of their little rant. The action, which embarassed (Y/N) a bit, also made them understand that their lover doesn't need any excuses or explanations, he's content to have them back and unharmed. They sigh softly and eventually relax in his grasp and going practically rag doll, in response and after some time, Pyra's body also relaxed a bit, yet his grip on (Y/N) remained strong and firm like iron, refusing to let go.

—"Pyra."— you manage to move yout head just enough to say it.

A low grumble resonated from his helmet and chest, though it didn't sound hostile, more like his version of 'hhmm?'.

—"I love you, thank you for being around."— you say honestly, as you move just enough to reach his neck area and kiss the little skin exposed between his clothes and helmet.

The little sweet gesture was answered with a low purr as Pyra's large hands roam around their body for a bit, caressing and feeling each curve through their clothes. The touches weren't suggestive surprisingly, which meant that this affection was genuine and not the product of his monstrous lust towards them.

They both stay like this for a while longer, (Y/N) saying and whispering things in a soft tone that Pyra absolutely adored to hear, and he kept holding them against himself, pawing their body time to time just to feel them more. Their warmth, their pulse, their breathing...

To feel them.

To feel them being all H̸̫̥͙̮͍̮͋͑Ḯ̴͓̦̻͈̜͍̇̃͋͠S̴͖̘̍̓̉̑.

Honestly? I think LO shoud have dropped the whole plot with the titans and power struggle n shit. Leave it as a cautionary tale about a naive, sheltered girl, being manipulated by a much older man, and how this negatively affects her personality and issolates her from her family and peers. How Demeter tried to protect her from the same trauma she passed, but now the only thing she can do is keep the door open as a support system her daughter can come back if she decides to leave.

I was so hoping for ages that the Titanomachy would be used as a backstory for the 6 Traitors, especially when it came to Demeter. There's so much to explore there, in how being involved in a war at a young age has influenced their decisions and behaviors and values in the present day.

Instead we got a bunch of convenient McGuffin's to explain originally-nuanced things like Demeter's helicopter parenting. We didn't need it to be some harpy giving her a prophecy or a child who died that Demeter still felt regret over because none of those things make as much sense as the obvious answer that was right in front of you this whole time, Rachel-

Mollymauk Tealeaf is the reason Caleb Widowgast forgave himself and you cannot convince me otherwise.

When Caleb first met the Nien he was so afraid they would clock his criminal past he intentionally self issolated. And if Mollymauk hadn't been such a cocky ass, and literally forced him to open up about his issues he would have abandoned the Nien.

Yeah, they beefed, but you have to think about the weight of the guilt Caleb was carrying around versus Molly’s ‘dont worry be happy’ lifestyle it's honestly impressive they didn't PVP.

Molly comforts Caleb in one of his darkest moments and I believe it is bc Molly has at least a few of Luican’s memories and he can see Caleb’s pain and just cannot let him suffer alone.

But, most importantly, Mollymuck dies. And that really changes Caleb he realizes just how finite life is and I think he's kind of forced to keep Molly’s memory alive. Like, Caleb before Glory Run Road would have wasted 0 time going after Jester, Fjord, and Yasha. But watching Molly fall he is forced to forgive himself in order to “Leave the world better than he left it”.

He and Beau become besties because they're both left to face the reality that the only kindness they had ever known in their life was a conman teifling.

It really pisses me off that Molly died bc I really and truly believe that he and Caleb would have fallen in love.

CALEB MADE A TRANSMUTER STONE WITH THE PLAN TO RESURRECT MOLLY. GUYS! He carried the fucking stone around for at least 80 eps. He was the only one to mention the possibility of Molly being alive he never gave up on them.

I think Fjord saw it… ya know Molly and fjord were rommies and surly they talked bc when Caleb is using The Stone and that crazy spell (I can't recall the name) and it didn't work he comforted Essek. I think he was comforting Essek not bc Caleb wanted Molly back but bc Essek was morning for Caleb like without it having to say it out loud Fjord saw Calebs heartbreak and knew that Essek needed someone to check in.

Like please don't lie to me, Essek Molly and Caleb would have been world shattering

What environments are a part of the dead end? Environments like Deserts, Marshes, ect.

Previously Ive mentioned a few, but I'll list what I can here.

Keep in mind that The Dead End is not massive, far from it. In about a week The Wanderers could walk from one end to the other (assuming they dont stop to tinker with some scrap or try again at a portal).

The grasslands are the central area. Large sprawling grassy fields, a few hills, with The Portal smack dab in the middle. New Gardenview is set up near here.

Theres several forests scattered around The Dead End, some more dense than others. Hazewood is nestled pretty deep in one of em.

Theres one desert issolated in the corner of The Dead End. Its what you would expect from a desert, really.

There are indeed marshes, particularly around the edge of the southern Dead End, where marshes are in place of the usual beaches or stony cliffs. Strangely theres a large abount of rotting wooden buildings in The Marshes. Shelly has yet to investigate on account of the flooded terrain and her not so waterproof partner.

The mountains are very tall and very snowy, also decently wooded as well. Bobette considered setting up camp at the top of one, but realized she didnt want to be alone again.

I think the last notable 'biome' is The Badlands. A large stony expanse without vegetation, filled with caverns and tunnels. Its a prime spot for recourse gathering, but ichor monsters seem to hide out here most of the time.

NPD culture is the slightest thing making you crash despite your life being the best it's been in years and having to issolate yourself so you don't hurt someone no matter how bad you want to because that is the only way to stop yourself from abusing someone. It's thinking someone needs to be hit so they'll shut up about their stupid fucking mary sue oc that literally no one gives a fuck about despite the fact that you can't actually do anything because they're behind a screen. It's not being able to express any of this because if you do you'll ruin your reputation and you don't fucking want that so you just have to stay silent while hinting that you're crashing and that they should fucking shut up or you will become abusive and will not feel guilty or remorseful for hurting them, and in fact will continue to do it everytime you want them to shut up because you think they deserve it and will never think of them as anything close to human ever again.

NPD culture is being abusive, knowing that fact, and simply not caring as long as your reputation isn't harmed

Writing: Thing I Learnt the Hard Way #12

~Catalyst Events~

One thing, that’s it, just change one thing.

Stop shooting the president AND having a plague wiping people out AND an alien invasion AND having your love interest get pregnant. Change or add one fundamental thing and then GUT your world to find out every single way things would change. If it's not enough, pick a different change, DONT set off a volcano because your story ran dry after a few pages.

(For my example, I will be using my WIP book, Status Quo. I won’t be too self-indulgent, but your girl’s gotta brag :P)

In my book, my change was simple: A new substance is flooded into the world. For reasons unknown, it mutates every living thing on Earth.

Here are the things that might happen in such a situation:

-People would go into bunkers

-People would be left behind

-Nature would take over

-Culture would change completely

-Anarchy would be a problem initially, but over time, humans love their societies, rules and rulers

-Power hungry people would use the issolation of the bunkers to scare, control and manipulate their residents

-They would lie about the safety of the outside world

-As time went on, inbreeding would be a problem

-Misinformation would spread about the surface

-People living on the surface would resent those who abandoned them

-It might take time, but eventually, someone would go to the surface to investigate, discovering many lies they’d been fed their whole lives

I could go on, but see how much comes from a single change? Its like the butterfly effect. I’ve seen advice from the creators of South Park about story beats and how they should flow. No more “And then this happens, then this happens, then this happens,” its too disjointed. Try: “and so this happens, so this happens, so this happens.” In my experience, its a good sign if you struggle to tell your friends about something without needing to explain everything that lead up to it.

Keep it simple. It will be easier to write, easier to research and easier to sell because people will already be visualising all the interesting consequences before they’ve even finished reading the back of the book.

They might tell Rae they aren’t, that they aren’t alone, and that the have Fable and Ven and Ari, but they know they are

Fable is never home, always leaving them to hurt for Netherum, and Ven and Ari don’t even know where they are

They are isolated, and just like it’s bad to keep their birds cooped up in a small space, it’s also bad to keep them there

Hey, man. Thanks. I'm trying to fix myself and I'm trying to get help. And because of this ask I might as well explain something for everyone.

I was pulled out of public school in the end of first grade, we moved around a lot so during being home schooled in the forth grade I had stopped learning.

I grew up in a Christian household and they liked Trump and still do. Although, my mother is no longer Christian.

Growing up and moving from motel to hotel, truck stop to gas station,and from camp site to camp site, I was Issolated (sorry if I spelt that wrong) and when i was around people, they were bad influences.

And during this time, I didn't have a phone, I didn't have social media. My only way of human interaction was my family (bad influences) or just the people around me (bad influences).

When I was 12, I discovered tumblr.(this was in like November) i go the app because for once I wanted to be something more then just some kid in a shitty household.(my birthday is Feb 28th btw)

At the Time, I didn't know my family or the people around me were bad influences other then them being toxic and negative. Sadly, I picked up on how they acted...

I now understand that behavior isn't exceptable, but thanks to tumblr I realized that and I now see more of the manipulative, and disgusting behaviour around me.

But in order to fix this behavior, I would need anger management first of all, second would be therapy. Now, in Salina, your parents can't just walk up to a therapy place and say "give my kid therapy" no. A teacher or something would have to say "this kid needs help" but a teacher or something would be...school..

About three-two years ago we got the house we live in now and once we got comfortable me and my sister should've been inrolled into school, we were not. My mother did NOT get us into school which made my mental health worse.

I am not mad at my mother because she did work security guard at the mall at the time but even on her days off and free time still should've worked on worrying about getting me and my sister into school.again, I'm not mad at her because she can't change the past but she can fix the future and in August or so me and my sister should be starting middle school (me) and high school (my sister).

I really do apologize for shitty behavior from me, I don't want to be like that and I'm working to fix it. It will take time, but I'm not going to give up. And you, person who sent this ask, you just gave me more confidence to do so. I appreciate this ask and I'll hold myself back from killing myself. Sadly, I might not stop hurting myself but I'll make sure not to do it to bad.

I'm also currently working on A, better attitude, B, losing weight, and C, a new coping mechanism instead of self harm. Either way, I really do appreciate this a lot and I was actually surprised to see that so many people care since normally I vent and it gets 1 if not 0 notes on it.
