One of the biggest things that makes me see Leo as trans is absolutely the size of his carapace in comparison to his brothers’.

And I’m not talking about height! I’m specifically looking at his shell here, because when you compare him to the others, particularly Donnie who is nearly the same height as Leo, it’s very clear that Leo’s carapace is much longer in proportion to the rest of his body.

Like - standing side by side, even though Donnie is shorter his carapace ends noticeably higher up than Leo’s does. And I like this not only because it really helps push the idea that Leo could very likely be trans (or intersex!), but it’s also just a fun design difference between them.

(It also lends way to future scenarios of Donnie eventually getting taller than Leo, but sitting down still has Leo being the taller one haha.)

Complaining abt Suicide Squad yet again but the fact that they have Waller exposing the alien community to space racist attacks and talking abt how she got to her position through deceit and being a terrible person and stuff is just. Ahsfiwueh JUST SAY YOU DONT KNOW WALLER.

Anyways literally the 3rd mission of the Squad ever (and the first framed as smth Waller picked and not orders from above) was the Squad discrediting and stopping a rogue vigilante who was only arresting POC and funneling white people into white supremacy groups (of which he was the most prominent member) in SUICIDE SQUAD #4. and it's explicitly framed as this mission being personal for Waller that she's hiding from the government bc its illegal like. Guys. Please why are we having her incite (space bc comics) racist attacks now

Also the whole "Amanda got her position through deceit and being a terrible person" NO. she KEPT her position through being shitty and playing complicated political games!!! She wasn't always that way like there is a difference and it is IMPORTANT ppl PLEASEEEE. In Secret Origins #14 we learn Amanda's backstory and she used to be a normal, caring person! Like even after she entered into working in government and politics she wasn't automatically morally bankrupt like please people. She was originally given control of the Squad by Reagan (*sigh* 80s comics...) to distract and get rid of her because she was so successful at pushing progressive social policy in Congress. Acting like she's this static pillar of evil is such a waste of her character and so fucking uninteresting and disrespectful to her arc it drives me MAD.

Like I am NOT saying Waller is all sunshine and rainbows, she fucking SUCKS (said w love <3) but like there's a human being there. It's a progression, she has a character arc like please, DC, please!!! They've fucked up Waller so bad and made her so opaque and uninteresting she can't even be the protagonist of her own story for fucks sake!

Like I don't know how many times I have to scream it until DC hears me or remembers but WALLER IS THE MAIN CHARACTER OF SUICIDE SQUAD. ITS HER BOOK. yet right now she's a cutout to be used as the villain wherever the writers please. Even in her book we get none of her perspective really displayed, no exploration of her thoughts with any kind of understanding of the role she traditionally has played and was made to play in the story.

Considering all the concerns about the fest skin and accent contest winners, potential staff bias towards certain users, and whether or not new people can even get a chance to win, I was curious just how many players who win in the contest are actually new and how many are more experienced, long term winners.

With this in mind, I went over the previous 5 festivals covering the latter half of 2023. There's 16 potential winning slots per fest which mean 80 wins total- with 57 unique winners.

Out of those 57 unique winners, 26 were first time winners.

Typically there are 5 first time winners per fest- this does vary and the highest amount of first time winners in this time period was 7 during rockbreakers ceremony, the lowest was 4 during thundercrack.

Some extra info: Under current usernames and considering unique winners only, there was 20 winners in this time who have between 2-5 wins in the database. There were 4 winners with 6-15 wins in the database. There were 7 winners with 15+ wins in the database (highest total was 32, with that users earliest win dating back to 2015).

I think the biggest take away from this is, there are people who take part in the skin and accent contest month after month, and have over the years racked up their wins. And equally there are people who have never made a skin before in their life who decide to take a leap and win! Purely by statistics, the odds seem fairly even to me.

#those repeat winners dont always win. the person who has 32 didnt have a winning entry for several years #if youre new. if its the first skin you made #you have just a chance at winning as those who've won it countless times #i also want to add. there are people whove been making skins for years and have never ever won a skin contest #being able to win the contest =/= being good at making skins #okay. im done. i would also like to add if ur thinking this is a small data set. the further i go back the harder it is to keep track of-#- first time wins! people win for the first time and then keep entering and winning after that. i dont have the time to go through it #and keep sufficient track of that.#also if my maths doesnt add up thats bc im stupid its not malicious #fr #flight rising

I'm hoping episode 3 let's Ruby see the dark side of the Doctor. I feel that adds a very important dynamic to a Doctor-companion relationship, when they see how dark he can be and still choose to travel with him early on.

Rose watching Nine drag Cassandra back to die. Eleven yelling at Amy "Nobody human has anything to say to me today!" Donna begging Ten to stop drowning the spider babies, and then again to go back and save someone in Pompeii.

Fifteen has been FUN and I know he can do emotional range, I've seen his fear and his tears already. But I want to see him dark, and I want to see Ruby respond to that. I think it would add a LOT of depth to their relationship and is something missing.

Plus showcasing the Doctor's flaws (selfishness) will make him a much more interesting character. I want to see some conflict between the Doctor and Ruby.
