So many people think Webs is the Good Guardian. That he's the Nice One. They say "oh he's not that bad" and claim he wasn't abusing the dragonets. I was litterally talking to my friends about him and they were like "He was only mean to Glory, and she dismisses it, so its fine, it didn't affect her. Plus he brought Starflight scrolls every now and then. Hes good, trust."

And im just left fumming bc. Idk if there's an english equivalent, but in my language theres a saying that goes "The lookout is as much of a thief as the robber" and I think that applies to abuse too. Webs was a coward who didn't stood up to Kestrel, so he just left this grown ass woman bully litteral children and gave them scrolls as a consolation prize. What the hell. Hes a spineless coward who doesn't have the strength to disagree with anyone, hes not nice.

And Webs just straight up lied to Tsunami about the bioluminescent stripes. This is a post I made but I cannot find it and link it for the life of me.

I'm not sure if this is the right blog for this question, i'm really sorry if it's not. I'm part of a theatre class/group that is putting on Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream. The teacher has a very specific vision in mind that i generally vibe with. However, she's asking me to play a character in a way that might be offensive. I play two characters, one of them is Snug. There's a play within the play that an incompetent artisan theatre troupe is putting on, which snug is a part of. In our version, snug is meant to have a speech impediment (the teacher hasnt given me more specific directions on how to talk). I did a bit of research and decided that my version of snug has dysarthria (no dysphasia or aphasia) from a degenerative disease that he inherited from his dad. Im trying to play him as having distorsion and omission type articulation errors, in the initial and medial positions respectively, but it's been very hard for me to consistently play him like that becuase i dont have his disability. The only correction the teacher has given me so far is to speak slower so my dialogue is more comprehensible.

Now, i shouldn't have, but i did watch some scenes on youtube with snug in them. And none of the versions i saw give him a speech sound disorder, from what i could tell. What most versions do have in common though, is that the artisans who are putting on the play are, for lack of a better term, meant to be "dumb". Snug specifically has a line which i didn't realize was supposed to be a dig at his own intelligence until i saw a clip. The line is:

Have you the lion's part written? pray you, if it be, give it me, for I am slow of study.

In the video i saw, the actor paused briefly after saying "slow", for emphasis:

for I am slow... of study.

I'm autistic and i know what it's like for people to assume i'm "slow" because of how i talk, and i don't want to promote those stereotypical views.

What makes this whole conundrum more complicated for me is that our version is going to be (sort of?) a musical. And my teacher is adamant on me rapping an eminem song. I thought this would be fun but thinking about it more carefully i worry that the joke might be that snug is faking his disability for some reason, and that he can actually speak "normally".

Hello! I wanted to address this ask as a former actor and current student studying speech language pathology as well as someone with an articulation disorder.

You can give a backstory in your head as detailed as you want - and as an actor this is a good thing, and something you should do with every role no matter how complicated or simple - but the unfortunate truth is most audience members are not going to interpret it exactly the same way without the same context. You may be thinking of portraying a mixed dysarthria (and there are many types of dysarthria, from spastic to flaccid to ataxic, to mixed that will all have difference in sound quality, articulation, and rate) but unless it's written somewhere the audience, who is just noticing a slow rate and articulation errors, and who may not even be aware of what dysarthria is, may think your character has some dialect or strange difference they don't recognize.

From my knowledge of the play, the Rude Mechanicals are meant to be laughed at and this falls into the idea that people with certain speech patterns or disorders are funny or silly or even, yes, stupider than others. However, there's not much you can do about this if your director is insistent other than refuse to treat your character as a joke. I would feel better about a character with consistent errors and whose disability was thought through than one who wasn't, even with a character like a Rude Mechanical.

As for a disability disappearing during a rap, for something like stuttering that would make sense but not for an articulation disorder and certainly not for dysarthria, which causes a slower rate normally and can cause articulation issues due to coordination of the parts used to speak (not only the mouth but also the soft and hard palates and the lungs, for example). I would talk to your director about what the point of the rap is - is it to be funny? is it to show another side of him? why does this character need a speech disorder? why does this character need to rap, and why does the speech disorder need to be dropped during the rap?

If you can talk with your director and figure out what the vision is for some honestly bizarre choices it may help you figure out if you're on the right track (and if dysarthria is the right choice for a disorder for your character, as well). As always, if anyone has advice or input please feel free to add it!

Hi. Let me just reiterate personal experience here: LEAVING A TEAM CAN REALLY FUCK YOU UP depending on your life outside the sport. Sports teams are a social support group, like, I really hate the phrase "like family"... but literally structurally so similar. If you already don't have a strong family life outside of the sport (like Shane has admitted to, let's fuckin goooooo), AND being on a team is an overall positive thing in your life??

TRAFALGAR LAW HC: TITLE

Ever since I've thought about the headcanon I have about Law being Truth to Luffy's Freedom, I've been trying to think of a unique title for Law that is equal to that of the Pirate King. Personally though, I dont think Law himself cares about titles and would probably reject being a part of the Yonkou once Luffy becomes King

One possibility is the new government was the one who gave Law his title but personally? I hc that Luffy is the one to give Law the title that is equal to that of the King. While its true the king of pirates rule the sea but a lot of times its above the surface and rarely under. And who better to rule the deep than the captain who's ship is that of a submarine?

So the title was given to the partner of the king who is his equal in every way after Raftel. Considering that Luffy was the one to give Law that name as a sign of trust, respect and affection for his fellow captain, Law finds himself that he doesn't mind and accepts the title

Anyways!

If the Pirate King is of Freedom then Truth as its equal could have a unique title for itself. That stands as its own title

The other side of the same coin to the King so to say

At first I thought it could be reaper as in Pirate Reaper since pirates are not only a symbol of freedom but also of death yknow? But i felt like that might not be the right fit for Truth, not completely at least

Then I found a really cool kanji (主) which is almost the same kanji as 'king' (王) with only one very small difference which is the 1 small stroke above

The kanji is pronounced as 'shu' (主) and it can mean 'Master', 'Chief' and 'Lord'. In Japanese, Law would be known as 'Kaizoku Shu' but now I'm in a bit of a dilemma as to which could suit the Pirate of Truth who contrasts and compliments the Pirate of Freedom that is the King

podge, elton & melodie’s routes require some initial investment in charisma—not a lot (2 dots is fine) but the higher ur charisma the higher the modifier will be during romance checks, which will help you pass even if your relationship score with them isnt the best/mid range 2/3 dots. in the same vein some of the convictions your character can have also act as modifiers. what ive been able to piece together is that:

melodie likes when you uphold & respect the litany/tradition & the three families, but keep humans/nomi at a distance or out of the picture entirely for their own safety

elton likes when you maintain dignity in your situations, are logical/calculative making decisions & successful in your chosen means to an end (failing rolls is swagless behavior he will judge you)

podge likes when you weaponize your Rage—not necessarily escalating everything to violence (but it is a fair bit of that lmao) but in terms of like challenging the litany/tradition/authority, protecting the weak/disadvantaged

nin likes when you remain level-headed/composed, keep an open mind, respect her as a person/don’t treat her different as a wolfborn, utilize & accept your spiritual third as garou—recognize that cultivating gaia with kindness & hope are as important as protecting her with teeth & claws

TLDR for best relationship modifiers:

Elton: 2 or more dots in Charisma, high Find Purpose Through Dignity conviction

Melodie: 2 or more dots in Charisma, high The Litany Sustains Us conviction

Podge: 2 or more dots in Charisma, high Our Weapon Is Rage conviction

Nin: 2 or more dots in Composure, high Our Answer Is Spirit conviction

so the issue with podge’s route from what i can tell was a coding error that has since been fixed by kyle, basically during the first date most people opt to kiss podge back, which obviously boosts your romance score but at that point in time it boosted it past the threshold check for the sex scene & locked you out of it for both opportunities LOL. this is no longer the case but if your game hasn’t updated since May (not on version: 52507) you will have to play hard to get with podge (dont kiss him back) or your ass is NAWT getting dicked down later. all other scenes proceeds as normal tho

hopefully this helps!! im currently (slowly) playing thru again testing more stuff so i might update this or make a more detailed cleaner post in the future ^^

Don't worry! Wales is famously very welcoming. I'm not sure where you're from, but there's a specific reason why some (not all) English people get a different reception from everyone else, and it's "inherent superiority and disrespect." As an example, one of my sister's friends has a holiday home in North Wales which he's been visiting with family ever since he was a child, and at the point my sister met him - as a fully grown man - she had to explain to him that the local beach to that holiday home was not, in fact, called Traeth Beach. He'd been looking his whole life at the sign near the house that read "Traeth - Beach", and because none of them had bothered at all to learn a shred of the local language, hadn't realised that traeth literally just means beach. They also pronounced Pwllheli as Buh-Velly, because again, they literally could not give any less of a shit about the culture they'd just stolen a house from and were squatting in the middle of. When my sister explained how to actually pronounce Pwllheli, he just laughed, and carried on saying Buh-Velly. It just... was not important to him. He didn't care.

And when he did it in front of me, he genuinely did not understand why I was offended. Like, it did not compute. He thought he was being charming and quirky. He thought anything other than an "Oh-what-are-you-like" reaction was over-reacting.

He's a pretty classic example of what I mean. There's an ingrained sense of superiority. A belief you can do whatever you want. A belief that centuries of oppression is just "funny banter", and if we don't see it that way, then we're being mean nasty bullies. It's very common. Also, if you're Northern English, Anon, for the love of god don't assume that means you're immune from it, because I 100% promise you, you aren't.

But if you avoid that, you're fine. Don't make jokes about things that aren't yours to joke about, like the language or history or whatever. Be interested in Wales! In Welsh culture! No one ever is, so we like that. Don't be self-aggrandising, we do NOT like that. Welsh people are, by and large, very underwhelmed - it takes a lot for us to get to "whelmed". That might take some adjusting, especially if you're American, because Americans are very enthusiastic and Welsh people don't like making a fuss. If you come knowing how to pronounce the place names, we LOVE that.

Other than that, honestly, just relax and be yourself. As I say, as long as you're respectful, you'll have a lovely time. hii! as for your last text... I'm a new Larrie (for over a year) so I wasn't there when it all happen, but what I can understand why people say that.

First of all I want to say that, although I do believe that Larry is or has been real at some point, there are always many things that make me doubt about it, I can't help but my mind look for all possible explanations for what happens...

So I agree with what you said about why ziam didn't distance themselves and larry did, but this is the non-larry explanation that I have in my head: L and H when the ship started they followed the jokes, they themselves promoted it... (if I'm not wrong), so it's obvious that it didn't bother them, but then it starts to get bigger, and L starts dating Eleanor and H has his little relationships (dont know how to call them in english lol), let's say they were all real, and there are people who start to deny those relationships are true, and that, not only you, but also the people closest to you are all lying for you... So, the larry ship by itself may not have bothered them, but a lot of people overanalyzing every move and trying to prove with everything that those relationships are not real, it might be hard and hurting. So I think it would be understandable if they themselves, or perhaps management as well, decided to separate publicly trying to reduce the rumors. It doesn't mean that they had a fight or that they stopped being friends, just that they publicly tried to interact with each other as little as possible to relax things a bit...

This is the main theory that antis use against larry, but I’d argue that there is far more proof for larry being real than not. It just makes it look more suspicious if they did that, ya know? Hey Cas! This a lowkey one and very no pursue bc it happend like 2 months ago and only came up now again bc my friend made a lot of snark remarks about it that got me questioning a bit.

So, where I live pride month is not very big but there is one Pride parade which is big andloud and fun with cool concerts and booths. It is the only one like that all year so its a big thing kinda everyone goes to to support and have fun.

She went and invite her friend to come with us and that bitch full on red face slapped her telling her she isn’t fucking gay like it’s a slur.

I know this girl before, she caused shit like that before and when I arrived to school , I asked my friend why her face is red and she told me.

To say I was pissed off would be an understatement. Not only was she homophobic but she fucking hit my best friend. My friend tried to convince me not to do anything until she reseaved a messege from her sayng how she would not apologize saying my friend shouldn't have suggested she is “one of those” in the first place.

I was pissed. This is the part where I might be in the wrong. I went up to her class and yelled at her in front of everyone there how dare she hit my *and her* friend while being so incredibly homophobic and how if we weren't in school I would give back MUCH more then she did to my friend.

Minion's relationships with the mercs

Engineer - Engie is like one of the only people that can understand him (literally not emotionally) because of his thick ass accent. Minion likes to talk to him. Minion yaps to him a LOT, about almost everything.

Medic - Minion WILL find any way possible to be the one to deliver Medics orders personally. He also likes to include extra organs in almost every shipment. Minion makes his feelings towards Medic very obvious, but Medic continues to play dumb to keep getting those extra organs. Minions bird is the cause of at least 3 archimedes going missing.

Spy - Spy has photo evidence of Minion doing weird shit (staring at medics ass or smth idk). Minion is VERY aware of this and gets very nervous when hes doing anything at all because hes afraid that Spy is taking a picture of him.

Soldier -  Soldier is one of Minion's best friends, but Minion is scared that Soldier will grab him. Because he did, once. Minion got accused of not being faithful to America.

Sniper - Minion thinks he's weird because of the jarate thing. Hes scared that Sniper will throw jarate at him. Theyre probably buddies though, because they are both from places that have like weird animals, and they'd probably talk about that.

Scout - Theyre probably buddies because they both are falling for someone who barely likes them back. They encourage eachother. They're also relatively around the same age.

Demoman - Demoman is one of Minion's best friends along with Soldier. They'd also be drinking buddies, maybe not too often but they would. Minion gets really emotional when hes drunk, so he'd probably overshare to Demoman.

Heavy- I think theyre only acquaintances because they both cant quite understand each other (considering they both dont speak fluent english, and their native languages are different) BUT i think if they ever hung out they would cook for each other / bond over food.

Pyro - He probably hangs out a lot with Pyro because of Louise, he draws with Pyro when hanging out with them and Louise.

Bonus: Miss Pauling - I think he respects her a lot as a person and thinks she's cool. He probably tries to convince her just a little bit that scout is cool.

Louise - They are literally the father daughter duo EVER!! minion loves louise as a daughter so much and he cares so much he would take a bullet for her.

Eddy - Even though they might argue or have their differences sometimes, Eddy is always Minion's best friend. Minion truly appreciates Eddy and is grateful that Eddy is in his life.

Spy - Lint, like he WRAPS IT to make it look like an extravagant cool gift but he actualy needle felted to lint to make it into a middle finger

Soldier - a tabo becuz he heard that soldier like bucket

Medic - he would buy him like 8 presents and make him custom advent calendar but its just pics of him and its the same picture each time for 12 days

Although it's been a while since I found a book that peeked my interest ,I mostly read fanfics recently . Video games hold a special place in my heart, I LOVE the different art styles and plots in each game. I like anime, but I've been too busy lately to watch. I have some sewing skills, mostly for patching things up, but I want to sew clothes and learn crochet in the future. Crafting is another hobby I enjoy, I am good with my hands. I love learning new stuff. biology ,psychology, and physics r my fav subjects(i like learning about anatomy whether it's animal's or human's +plants in the medical field +my fav scientist is Nicolas Tesla). I speak 3 languages: Arabic (native), French, and English. I plan to learn Spanish, Italian, or German next, depending on my mood. **Personality:**

My personality is quite flexible and depends on both the people I'm with and my mood. When I'm outside , I tend to feel anxious, although I do my best not to show it. I come across as calm, chill, and reserved, often giving off a "don't approach me" vibe, but I'm friendly and won't reject anyone who wants to chat, although I dislike small talk and feel a bit uneasy around boys. I've had trust issues due to past betrayals, so I'm cautious with my relationships now (whether it is friends or family ,no lover tho ,don't get me wrong i can be quiet the romantic but the only man that I would probably get attached to would be fictional for sure lol)

With my close friends, I'm more open, bright, and cheerful. I talk a lot about my interests, sharing random facts (they call me a nerd). I'm caring and sweet toward my friends, and my love languages include gift-giving, physical touch, and acts of service. I give them presents and hugs, always respecting their boundaries.

You and Vil are surprisingly similar which makes it easier for you two to click than with most other people. You both try your absolute hardest to be the best people you can be and see the beauty in the world around you although while he tries to bring out the beauty in things you see beauty in the way they already were.

You and Vil met during alchemy class after you dropped into Twisted Wonderland. At first Vil was his usual perfectionist self: ordering you around and being controlling about how to do your project, but once you showed him your alchemic proficiency he was genuinely impressed.

Ever since then not only did you capture his respect, but also his intrigue. Despite being as busy as he is, when he had the time he would try to learn more about who you were by either word of mouth or asking your friends (Rook offered to “observe you” but Vil voted against it for it is rude and creepy).

One day while he was on a run he saw you under a tree practicing your sewing. He decided this was a good opportunity to strike up a conversation with you given he knew a thing or two about clothes.

He walked over and gave you some advice about your stitching. Sadly it came off a lot more condescending then he would like and it rubbed you the wrong way which lead you to giving him the cold shoulder but tried to politely dismiss yourself.

You know those guys that are more intrigued by those who aren’t interested in them? Yeah that’s Vil even if he’ll never admit it. The more you ignore or avoid him the more he wants to make amends and try to impress you.

Until one day where you’re in a particularly bad mood you have an outburst about how him not giving you space makes you uncomfortable due to old wounds and ask what his deal was.

This made him realize his behavior towards you was unfair and disrespectful. He didn’t take your feelings or comfort into account at all. He is as ashamed with himself.

He stood before you and gave a genuine and sincere apology before walking away.

You don’t know how or why, but his apology moved you. He’s not like other guys you’ve met before. You could tell that he felt genuine remorse and met every word of what he said

A week later you two run into each other again and make awkward small talk. You can tell that he still feels bad about what he did, so you propose that you guys start over as true friends.

And he agrees.

After that you slowly but surely grow closer and closer. Bonding over shared passions and views, before long Vil is falling in love with you. You’re not his first crush, but you’re the first one he truly feels love and affection for. Not just a relationship for the press or screens.

And so he asks you out like a classic fairytale prince for a fancy private dinner. And although you accept you let him know that he doesn’t need to do something so extravagant, that you would be happy no matter what. That takes him by surprise, but it’s not an unwelcome one.

You and Vil are like an old married couple once you finally get together.

Always bantering about how you both need to take better care of yourselves. It’s wholesome and funny at the same time.
