law as a kid sometimes had bad days so corazon would ask him a random question about the body (how do you move your arms? how does blood go around? what controls what? etc) and watched law’s eyes light up as he rambled about everything he knows

Hi! :)feel free to decline this if it’s not up your ally or you don’t really have anything else to say about it but, I was very interested when you mentioned law having anxiety about if the amber lead disease would be passed down to his kid, so I was wondering if you’d be willing to write a little offshoot of that (hcs/short fic/whatever format you want) about law and his partner trying to ease each other’s anxieties about it and just how he’d handle it in the long term plus maybe if it wasn’t able to be told if they had it or not before it was born seeing Law finally get to see the kid and his reaction him it having/not having it (it’s up to you what kind of route you’d want to take with that) but anyways it’s just a suggestion because I was really interested once you brought the idea up of how Law would handle something he’s probably tried to block out of his mind since he was young
The post that anon is talking about for reference
Guess what Anon? This is literally the best ask I’ve ever gotten because I think about it ALL the time and all the possible outcomes of that one little thing and I will literally never shut up about it. So here’s some fun* ideas on how I think Law would respond to bringing a child into the world.
*these are not fun they're so angsty it's not even funny
Transmission
Characters: female reader x Law
Word Count: 1k
CW: talk of abortion, talk about loss of pregnancy, talk of fatal diseases, lots of pregnancy angst, (happy ending though if that makes up for it!)
He runs a scan and finds out he has a lot to worry about. You can see the panic on his face and you know your fear was not misplaced. You’re pregnant.
His shoulders suddenly feel so heavy. Like a weight he is forced to carry, no matter how many times he tries to cast it aside.
He doesn’t tell you about the burden. Not yet. You all talk through your options together, and you consider them heavily. You weigh the pros and cons of each option for days, but he doesn’t ever try to sway you one way or another.
In fact, he becomes very distant. He locks himself away in the study, turning through a new book everyday. You can enter his study whenever you wish, but he barely acknowledges your entrance.
One day you’re talking about it with him, trying to decide what to do. It had only been about a week and a half since you found out, and Law’s cold shoulder has impacted you a bit. “What do you want to do?” you ask him.
He doesn’t respond. His nose is buried in a book, and you realize he hasn’t been listening the entire time. You suddenly burst into tears, upset with him and his coldness to you recently. “Just get it out,” you cry, punching at your stomach with your fists. “Get it out of me so we can get back to normal again.”
He looks up, surprised by your sudden outburst. “Hey, Y/N-ya! Stop! You’re going to hurt yourself!” He jumps up and grabs your wrists to keep you from harming yourself further.
“I’m tired of being alone!” you cry out, tears streaming down your face. “You can’t even look at me anymore! I just want things to be normal again.”
He’s staring at you, unsure of what to do or how to respond. He guides you over to a chair, still holding your wrists, and sits you down in it. He sits across from you. “I need to tell you a story,” he whispers, and he has your full attention.
He tells you the story of Flevance, and of the Amber Lead Disease he inherited. How his entire city disappeared in a matter of years. How there was no cure. How he was the only survivor.
You had known a piece of that story. Law had told you about Corazon and that he had helped secure the Op-Op fruit for Law to find a cure for his disease. But you hadn’t known the rest of the tragedy.
“I’m scared,” he admits, his voice quivering. “Amber Lead Disease is passed down from generation to generation, and shortens the lifespan each time it’s passed on. My sister got sick when she was six. I was supposed to die before I was fourteen.”
“But you got better. You’re okay now,” you reassured him. But you could feel the panic growing inside of you now too. Of course he didn’t want to talk about a child with this kind of trauma weighing on his mind.
“It doesn’t mean that the symptoms are gone. Each generation, the life expectancies go down at least ten years. What if…” he hesitates, and you can feel his grip around your wrists tighten as he squeezes his eyes shut. “What if our child dies before it’s even born?”
You can feel his pain and his sorrow emitting from him. You lean forward and wrap him in a hug, holding him tight. You can hear him choke back a sob, and you allow yourself to cry too. Both of you just hold each other, letting all of your fear and anger and sorrow wash away with your tears.
Both of you start to calm down after a very long cry. “I want to keep it,” you say finally. “I want to try.”
You feel Law nod, and his body relaxes just a minuscule amount. At least he won’t be alone this time. At least he’s cured it before.
During the pregnancy, he’s more stressed than you. It’s a weird relationship having Law as both your boyfriend and your doctor, and sometimes you have to remind him which hat he’s wearing.
He’s always giving you vitamin supplements in the morning and making sure your diet is perfectly balanced. Sometimes you go to eat something and he starts with “as a pregnant woman, you shouldn’t-” but a quick glare will usually quiet him down.
You have checkups and he runs scans on your body at least once a week. There are nights he can’t sleep, his mind riddled with what if’s, and he has to do a quick scan just to make sure you and baby are still okay. He breathes a sigh of relief each time your scan comes back clean, but he doesn’t let himself get too comfortable.
Both of you have your days. Some days you’re over the moon, others you feel like your lives are ending. It’s a hard middle to find. Both of you typically stick to the extremes and manage to mellow each other out while also validating each other's fears.
He cries when he finds out it’s a girl.
He cries even harder when you offer up a name. Cora.
His devil fruit ability makes the childbirth thing insanely easy. The “pain of childbirth” was a foreign concept to you for the most part.
He counts Cora’s fingers and toes, and then counts them again. 10 fingers, 10 toes. She’s perfect. Just looking at her, Law already knows he would die for her.
He wraps his sweet baby girl up in a blanket and passes her off to you. He brushes your hair and kisses your face while you hold her. He’s resisting the urge to run every scan he can think of. You were adamant that the three of you needed a few minutes together as a family before he went full doctor on you both.
Finally you hand Cora off to him. “Go ahead, I know it’s driving you crazy.” He scans her, and finds her completely healthy. No Amber Lead Disease, no sickness, not even a slightly abnormal temperature. Law holds Cora close to his heart and he weeps. For his family, for himself, and for the new generation that’s finally free.

One Piece Characters In The Rain..
Modern AU Just some headcanons I wanted to do cus I love OP and I love rain <3 watching it getting stuck in it, hearing it, all perfect.
SFW - GN Reader UNDERCUT - Thatch, Law, Kid, Corazon
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ace
Ace took you out for boba, you're walking down the street sipping your drink and listening to Ace talk about his crazy housemates and his brothers, never a dull moment.
It starts to rain, and you both feel a cold drop on your faces, looking up at the same time and squinting at the darkening sky.
“Aw shit..” Ace sighs and quickly takes off his leather jacket and drapes it on you as you both start to hurry.
You’d ideally find a store or food place to jump into but everything is closing up for the night.
He sees a shut shop doorway with an overhang that would stop the rain, he pulls you into it, against his body as he pulls the jacket around you.
You smile and look up at him, seeing drops running down his bangs, you brush them behind his ears, just to have them fall back again.
“Might be here a minute huh?” Ace said and kept you close to him, your back against his chest as you watched the rain pouring down, splashing on the pavement as his arms snaked around your waist, feeling his chin on your shoulder.
“This is nice though..” You sigh.
Tumblr media
Marco
Marco loves the rain, he enjoys sitting at his desk, closing his eyes, and listening to the rain. Even better if he has coffee at his side.
So when you are walking down the street, he can smell it in the air, feel how dense the air is, and know it’s about to rain.
“Want to get a coffee?” He asks with a smile and you nodded, happy to sit down in a cute cafe with your boyfriend.
He would get you both a drink and a cake, he’d try and get a table next to the window.
You blink as it starts to rain, seeing big fat drops hitting the glass and running down. You are glad you are in a nice cozy cafe as it really starts to come down.
Marco comes over with the tray of treats, setting down the cups, and the plates and leaning over to kiss your forehead before he sits across from you.
You and Marco sit there, cups in your hand, warming your palms as the world passes outside the window. You watch people rush past, happy you and Marco are nice and warm.
“Did you bring a book?” He asks and you nod, him grinning and pulling his out.
If you're not into books, you brought something else to keep yourself busy.
You sit there, conversing with one another, he reads his book, hand holding yours as he did so.
Tumblr media
Thatch
Having just come out of a nice restaurant, both laughing at something he said as you step out onto the pavement.
That was when it started to rain, you felt a cold shock as a drop went down the back of your clothes and you let out a squeal, one that made Thatch chuckle as he linked arms with you.
“I don’t know why your laughing, what about all the stuff you put in your hair?” You said with a snort and saw the fear briefly flash across his face as he realises you were right.
He pulls you back into the doorway of the restaurant and brings you closer to him.
“Did you bring an umbrella?” Thatch asks and you check your bag for your small foldable one and sigh, shaking your head.
“There’s a taxi bay around the corner, want to make a run for it and hope for the best?” You peer out the door and watch it chucking down but shrug. “Let’s do it.”
Both of you run down the sidewalk, splashing in the puddles by accident, trying to guard his hair with his jacket as you make the manic dash to a taxi. Getting in and laughing at the sudden rush, and you burst into a fit of giggles when you see his deflated hair.
“Hahaha, very funny.” Thatch brushes back long hair and rolls his eyes, always smiling though.
Tumblr media
Kid
Having sat at the bar for a few drinks you tell your boyfriend you want to retire for the night, go home and listen to music together or watch a movie and he seems game, the band he’d come to see live had finished paying anyway.
“Fuckin’ hell.” He hissed when he opens the door and sees the narrow ally way drenched with rain water, little streams running along the lines between the cobblestone street.
“Oh, that’s not fun.” You mumble and think how what you are both wearing isn’t really wet weather ready.
“Relax, I got this babe.” Kid looks around and see’s a coat stand, hung on one of the pegs is a large umbrella which he grabs and you side-eye him.
“Wanna be a drowned rat or not?” He asks and you roll your eyes but sigh, you guess he’s right “Just bring it back next time right?” He nods.
You both step out into the street and he puts the umbrella up, putting an arm around you to keep you close to him as he does so.
You aren’t the biggest fan of Kid’s method but you have to admit feeling his strong arm around you as he leads you down the ally is nice, and hearing the pitter-patter on the umbrella as you do so was soothing.
“Thanks,” You said softly and he just grins.
Tumblr media
Law
Sitting in a library together, a fancy one with nice seats and books older than you. Sitting with hot drinks in big chairs and enjoying time together but also being relaxed.
He sighed and closed his book, you looked up at him and saw him adjusting, standing, and stretching out the kinks in his body from sitting for so long.
“We should get going, they close in ten minutes,” He said and watched as you started to pack up too.
Grabbing the books you both want to borrow for the weekend, stuffing them in your bag as you walk to the entrance, feeling a cold rush of air on your face you see the wet weather, how it’s pouring down.
Law grumbles and takes off his coat, setting it on your shoulders, and gripping you when you try to protest, the words never form as he also tries to get under the coat with you. Both bundled up and looking frankly, ridiculous in the process.
“Is this going to work?” You say with a chuckle and he shrugs, keeping you close to his body.
Out into the street, you dash awkwardly, rushing to where Law parked his car, keeping you covered more than himself.
He even leaves the safety of the coat to open your car door, making sure you are safe, warm, and dry, with no regard for himself as he goes around the other side.
Getting soaked in the process.
“I’m fine,” He says when he feels your eyes on him.
“Thank you Law,” You said softly and he shrugs it off, pink-tinged across his cheeks.
Tumblr media
Corazon/Rosinante
Sitting on the blanket you frowned at the sky, the picnic you were currently having with your partner seemed like it was about to get ruined.
“Hey, the clouds might pass right?” Rosi said with a beaming smile, bright optimism shining there. You smiled back and leaned against him. “Yeah, your probably right.” You said with a hum but that was when a cold wet drop hit your nose and you went cross-eyed staring at it.
More started to follow and you both let out a shocked cry. You and Rosi are a mess of hands and grabbing, a mad scramble to pack up everything. Lids being haphazardly closed, things wrapped up in a chaotic fashion as the blanket was grabbed, badly folded in Rosi’s desperate attempt to save everything.
He pulled out the umbrella he’d brought just in case and the wind took it, folding it in on itself. You looked around as your hair blew wildly around you, the rain coming down harder.wildly
“Look!” He pointed, and there was an empty bandstand, painted white and green, the roof sturdy.
You both rushed over, almost slipping on the wet grass before making it.
Sighing, a little disappointed he came up behind you, kissing youe neck. “Hey it’s dry here and well, we have one broken umbrella.. Want to just have our picnic here instead?” He offered, another smile and you nodded.
He saved the day, as usual.

The Silent Reaver - Ch. Seven
A month has now passed since you and Law reconnected. With time running lower and lower, you and Law must come up with a plan- a plan to take down Doflamingo.
Warnings: fem reader (I don’t think pronouns have been used?), swearing, reader talks about murder lol.
Other Chapters Can Be Found Here
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Despite the time passing since that day having only been three weeks, it had felt as though you’d been with Law for much longer now.
During these past three weeks, you two had attempted to keep things lowkey; wanting to avoid any attention whatsoever. However, you and Law were becoming increasingly inseparable with each day. You craved everything about him; his soft touch that brought you warmth through the cold, bitter air of the laboratory. Law’s deep voice that seemed like music to your ears, a sweet melody that you’d gladly have stuck on repeat.
You simply wanted to be with him at all times, wishing to stay within his company until the day you took your very last breath. And even then, you think you’d be happy to die at his side. As long as Law was with you, everything would turn out okay.
Yes, you were utterly infatuated with him. And despite his attempts to hide it and appear cool toward you, Law clearly returned that feeling. Lately, he’d taken up wandering to your quarters in the middle of the night, excusing it as “well, I couldn’t sleep… and I was just taking a walk and found my way over here, so…”
And you’d gladly stay up for him.
By the fourth week; or rather a month, to be precise, you shared your second kiss with Law.
After the night where you both confessed to each other, Law had decided he’d like to spend more time getting to know you again, and have things gradually build up like a normal relationship. He was afraid of running into things, and especially afraid of losing you. You couldn’t blame the poor man; after he’d lost his family at such a young age, then to only lose Corazon three years later. And the whole time, he’d thought you were gone, too. At least, in the sense that Doflamingo had warped your mind.
But, you promised you wouldn't be going anywhere.
On the night you shared your second kiss, Law had shown up to your bedroom again. You welcomed him in with a hug and innocent peck on the cheek, figuring he simply wanted to be in your company once again.
Things took a turn, quickly, though.
Law had begun to talk about plans again.
“So… your mission is to either bring me back to Dressrosa, or kill me if I should refuse?” Law asked you, a look on his face that gave off the vibe that he was about to propose something.
“Yeah,” you confirmed, “And of course… I don’t even want to think about killing you. So I’m not really sure what to do now.”
“I have an idea…” Law stated, his eyes lit up in a way that gleamed with confidence. “You may get blood on your hands, however. I need to know if you’re going to be able to accept that.”
“It’s fine,” you sighed. “Wouldn’t be the first time… um, but if it’s Doflamingo in question… I’m more than ready to do so.”
Law smirked, curious as to what you meant by “wouldn't be the first time”.  You were an assassin, after all, so it only made sense. “You’ve killed before, then?”
“Yes…” you frowned. “Before Dressrosa, we raided islands, looking for the perfect place to call home. One of the guys protecting the place jumped at Baby 5, pinned her down. So I… put a stop to it.”
Law hummed, morbid curiosity getting the better of him, “how’d you do it?”
“Shot him with my sniper from a rooftop,” you answered, trying to contain any guilt residing within you. “Though, I…”
“You were saving your friend,” Law cut in before you could begin talking. It seemed like he knew you’d break down into tears if you continued to speak. “Don’t feel bad that a man was punished for attacking a young girl.”
“Right,” you inhaled deeply, blinking away any tears that attempted to form.
“Anyway… my plan,” Law began to explain, “in two days, you will pretend to confront me, and then I will agree to return to Dressrosa with you. But, I still want to stop the SAD production, as a backup.”
“Okay… how will we do that?” you asked, unsure how you’d essentially stop a factory.
“I’ll use my ability to destroy that section of the laboratory. I’ll take down Caesar, you’ll kill Monet. We need to make it seem like they died in the destruction. Our alibi is that we left the island before the explosion could happen.”
You nodded, though you felt uncertain… would this really work? Doflamingo wouldn’t be suspicious of only you and Law making it out alive?
“Are you certain this will all work?” You asked, biting your lip as a small gesture to show hesitation.
Law gave you a reassuring smile, taking a seat on your bed, beside you. His shoulder grazed your own, though it didn’t give much for contact due to the fluffy coat he wore. However, the feeling alone of that ridiculous coat he’d sewn spots all over, brushing against your bare shoulder, sent shivers down your spine. You could feel the hair rising on your skin, wanting to be even closer with Law.
“Cold?” He asked, raising an eyebrow at you.
“Mhm,” you nodded, wrapping your arms around yourself and rubbing your palms along your skin.
Law sighed, and you watched as he seemingly hesitated. About what, though?
After a moment, his mouth shut and he began moving. One hand reached for his spotted white hat, removing it from his head, revealing messy black hair. He looked so handsome like that.
Law’s other hand unzipped his coat, and he shrugged his shoulders to get it off. You stared with wide-eyes, but you soon relaxed as you came to realize he was wearing a simple black t-shirt underneath the coat, along with his usual jeans.
Law pulled the coat over your smaller frame, enveloping you in sudden warmth. Tugging on the fabric to pull it closer around yourself, a sweet smile spread across your lips, eyelashes fluttering shut as you hummed in relief.
“I’ll need that back, of course,” he muttered.
You giggled, snuggling further into the warmth of Law’s coat. It was heavenly, to put it simply. The warmth from his body remained on it, instantly relieving you of the harsh cold air within your room. It also smelled like him, which, maybe it was weird to think so, but you enjoyed it.
“So… as for the details of the plan,” he coughed, returning to the original subject at hand. “We’ll utilize the next week to scout things out. You’ll watch Monet’s every movement, searching for the best time to engage in battle with her. As soon as you’ve got her… distracted- alert me so that I can commence with taking down Caesar.”
“How should I contact you?” You asked, unsure of if Law had a snail phone or not.
“Den-den mushi,” he confirmed what you thought. “Though I don’t have one here myself, I’ll take one of the prisoner’s. You have your own, yes?”
You nodded, using the gesture to not only confirm Law’s statement but also to show him exactly where it was. In the direction you nodded in, a simple snail phone lay sleeping on your desk.
“Good,” Law commented, quietly. A yawn left his lips not even a second later.
“Tired?” You questioned, smiling up at your boyfriend as you thought of how cute he looked right now.
“A bit, yeah,” he said, raising one tattooed arm to scratch the back of his neck.
“You could sleep in here, I won’t mind,” you suggested. “Though, you’ll have to leave early. Or at least warp yourself back to your own room.”
Law nodded his head and returned your smile, thinking you looked quite adorable snuggled up in his coat. “That’s fine. Though you… don’t mind me sleeping in your bed?”
His voice stuttered in the last part of his sentence, and you again giggled, finding his nervousness to be endearing. “Don’t worry about it. We’re just sleeping, after all…”
“…right,” the word left Law’s lips in heavy breaths, like you’d flustered him.
Standing up from the spot you’d been sitting in, you set Law’s coat down on the back of your desk chair, before returning to stand in front of him. You gazed into his gray eyes lovingly, slowly blinking as you leaned down toward him, the space between you and him lessening with every movement.
Taking his head into your hands, warmly cupping his cheeks, you brought his lips to yours, closing off any space entirely as he returned your kiss.
The moment seemed to last years, perhaps centuries even, as though nothing could come between the two of you. You leaned further into Law, deepening the kiss. As a result, his arms wrapped around your body, tugging you closer to his own. The action left you nowhere else but his lap to move into, and as you did so, your heart beat so quickly, with such a hammering pound, that you felt as though it could break from your chest at any given moment.
One of your hands moved into Law’s hair, playing with the raven strands as you got more comfortable in his lap. With small breaks, you both gasped for air before diving right back in, refusing to give the moment up.
You knew it would have to come to an end eventually, as all things did, however you didn’t expect to be interrupted, of all things.
The den-den mushi you’d told Law of mere minutes ago suddenly began making noise, alerting you and Law to the fact that somebody was trying to reach you.
You practically jumped out of his lap, the sudden noise startling you. On quick feet, you got over to your desk and took in a deep breath before picking up.
“Reaver, awake at this hour? I nearly didn’t expect you to answer,” his cocky, unnerving voice filled the room.
It had been weeks, really, more than a month now, since you’d heard from the man. The man you feared most, despite the fact you’d trusted him with your life for so long. Maybe it was Law’s effect on you, or hidden resentment that finally resurfaced, but hearing him angered you.
“You know I’m always up late, young master,” you said through uneven breaths, trying to recompose yourself from the heavy kiss you’d just shared with Law. Though, your anger was making it hard to get that under control.
“Of course. I suppose it’s just been so long since I’ve seen you, that I simply forgot…”
Something about the way Doflamingo spoke to you seemed off. His tone indicated that he was upset, but trying to get some sort of point across.
“How long has it been now? Remind me, Reaver.”
“About a month,” you replied, voice weary as you feared he was onto your new plan.
“Right. So it would only make sense that you’ll be making your return soon, yes?”
Your mouth hung open, unsure of what to say now. You weren’t aware that there was any sort of time limit to your mission, but it did make sense in a way, that you’d be expected home sooner rather than later. “Um… yes, young master…” you trailed off, looking back to where Law sat, who only nodded.
“I shall be returning with Law soon,” you decided to say, not giving it an exact date or time frame.
“Oh? Have things gone well?”
“Yes, I… am unsure of his intentions, but he did agree to come with me.”
You could hear Doflamingo chuckling over on the other end. Though it was hard to say if he sounded pleased or just… evil.
“That’s good news, Reaver. You did your job well.”
“Thank you, young master,” you mumbled, not feeling grateful in the slightest.
“Well then, if things are truly going as well as you say… I have nothing else to speak with you about. You’d better rest now, Reaver.”
“I will. Good-bye, young master.”
With a clicking noise, Doflamingo hung up just as your last word left your lips. Letting out a sigh of relief, you turned to Law, looking panicked.
“Shit… now we’ve gotta act fast,” you said, throwing your hands in your hair to show your distress.
“Don’t worry about it,” Law shrugged, not looking concerned or pleased. He was as stoic as ever as he continued speaking, “I did say we’d spend the next few days looking for the perfect opportunity to strike. Shouldn’t take too long. And, now that he’s expecting us back, it won’t seem as suspicious that we left before the laboratory was destroyed.”
You nodded, Law’s words calming you down. He was right. If anything, your improvised lie had actually made your alibis stronger, making you more confident in the plan you and the warlord beside you had come up with.
Though, you still worried about what you’d face upon your return to Dressrosa…

h-hey so. I saw your tweet? from such a long time ago (eh no I think it was october) that was about cora/law and something something basically law being soooo much into cora and sick of waiting in general (can I also mention here. the 1975 - fallingforyou and especially the /you said some day we might, when i’m closer to your height/ line) so uhhhhh what about. a cora lives AU when they reunite once law becomes a warlord (also don’t tell me the 100 hearts weren’t meant for cora) and cora has been somehow found and brought back to life by the marines??? but kept hidden from public information for as long as doflamingo was running loose and rampant. but after dressrosa it’s no longer important and anyway they meet again and it’s all. reserved and polite and cora is just happy to see law all grown up and how much influence and power he has etc etc meanwhile law. keeps inviting him to the most high-end/expensive restaurants. buys him the most expensive wine. gets him heart-themed jewelry. the finest silk shirts/scarves. some rare types of tobacco. basically like a reverse sugar daddy thing except it’s law who absolutely spoils cora except cora doesn’t really have any idea what to do with it? bc law just says it’s bc cora took care of him all these years ago and now law wants to reciprocate. except he’s. way too invested in this/there’s something else in his eyes when he looks at cora, instead of just gratitude. IDK IM JUST. they’re such a weird ship to me bc i can’t stomach it at all in any other form than Cora lives AU and they meet as adults + the age diff/dynamic remains kinds the same (master/protegee? sorta) + law is just so fucking into him it’s unreal. bc hes spent so much time thinking about Cora? growing up? much longer than he had actually known him. so he kind of became something mystical in his mind, so when he finally meets him in flesh again? law can’t really deal with whatever he’s feeling toward him except it’s a whole fucking lot. again idk even what I wanted to say through this it’s just back to that tweet - yes I also think it’s a shame there isn’t more coralaw where law is the one leading the relationship/courting cora (or. domming him. like you said) and generally being lowkey obsessed about him. thanks lmfao and bye
HJGSFGSDjgdfshj first off this ask made my day... is there anything like the internet to bring together two fans of a very niche and specific dynamic ANYWAY
GOSH I do love the idea of Law spoiling Cora, especially bc like, from what we saw Cora went from a life of luxury in his youth, to one of struggle and then eventually medium-ish comfort, and was happy to throw it all away again for Law when they went on the run. So it's like, now Law can give that all back to Cora easily and I'd even sort of read it a bit as Law subconsciously trying to show how he's not just some little kid anymore so let him sleep with you Corazon, look, you think a guy who gives you this many silk shirts doesn't know how to show you a good time
Cora getting a little overwhelmed when the gifts and meals start being sprinkled with signs of courting... like, a brush of a hand or Law bringing them somewhere secluded on a walk and carefully getting into Cora's space. Asking Cora to be his +1 to big fancy dinners and escorting him around with a hand on his back ahahaHA
Cora can't deny that Law is just like, a dream guy, but he's gonna need a little extra push to let go of that sense of propriety saying that "they really shouldn't do this"
I tried responding to some other parts of the ask but it got really long and sort of turned into me just rambling about lawcora, so... i separated it all from here 😂
GOSH the 100 hearts being for Cora... another hopelessly romantic tribute from Law, the most Extra Adult-ass Emo walking around. It's exactly like you said, that's one of my favorite things about Law around Cora--the depth of his emotion... we know Law had this deep capacity for hatred when they first met—he was just this well of resentment and anger, even as a kid. But after seeing just how far Cora would go for him, that intensity got completely redirected into love (or "low-key obsession" haha—the naming his pirate crew after Cora and modeling his coat and tattoos after him). It's especially wild considering how "reserved" Law is around others, I guess? Like, he wants everyone around him to Stop Being So Ridiculous, but I feel like with Cora he would just want more and more, to draw out bigger and bigger reactions from him and encourage Cora to screw convention and run off with him. bc in his head they're all that really matter...? he's an all-or-nothing kind of guy!! I guess
And yeeeeah on Cora's side, it's definitely a difficult ship to pin down. I'm kind of like you, really picky about how I'd want it to play out... Part of me doesn't want Cora to be completely oblivious, and I don't love when people strip out how much of a badass/tough/discerning guy he is (though I do love the klutzy, naive-ish side of him). I don't know......... I think I like how I laid it out in the tweet, where Law has always sort of harbored feelings for Cora in the form of puppy love that transformed into an all-consuming fixation. Then it's just a matter of Cora finding out about it, denying those feelings (but the reason changes from "I couldn't see Law that way!!" to "he couldn't really feel that way about me/he could find someone more 'his equal' (in age? status? what excuses are you making Cora??)" over time. And at that point, when Law knows Cora wants him just as bad but is holding back from it, he just snaps. 😂
If they really did have just one long separation, and then a sudden reunion, I like the idea of Law re-learning who Cora really is... Like, he has faded memories of Cora's bravery and goofiness and weird little habits, but he wasn't prepared to meet him again and only end up liking him MORE. He learns about what Cora went through as a kid/in Doffy's shadow, and seeing how he still stayed so kind and brave just makes Law wilder than ever about him lmao!!

HERE IT IS!!
(DRESSROSA SPOILERS)
(Also TW for blood/animal de@th)
Here's part of the indulgent content just make Doflamingo a dilf, adoptive father style cause I wanted him, however shit a perent he would ever be- to have some Good Dad Moments(tm)
Cause he's all about family right, just give him a nee kid to have in the family and then BOOM gove him some happy moments (within the 10 year reign of Dressrosa pre-Dressrosa arc)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The kids name, for fun and because I'm not creative is Donquixote Rosette ;;)
The lore i gotta spoil tag it BUT;
But Rosette reminds him oddly of his brother, Corazon so he sometimes calls him that, kind of pretending this 8 year old boy acquired the heart seat in his palace. He does say that shit to spite Law a lot, I know his ass lifted this boy up simba style and declared him the prince, his heir. And for the longest time the city ate that shit up.
Rosette's too soft tho at the start, since he is human, he's prolly seen his fair share of trauma but Doffy wants to raise him to be able to do his bidding even at the age of a child, so he probably send shim out to hunt and kill small animals to get the taste of death by his own hands, first time he did it he came back clutching a mouse crying; Doffy wiped his tears kissed his forehead and praised him for his first kill, and told him he'd have to do it again, and again, with bigger and bigger prey eventually. And eventually he stopped crying coming back with a kill. Ofc Doffy knew his son's limits and what animals he COULDNT fight/kill but he always let him try, he didnt SERIOUSLY care if the kid did die, but having an heir to keep around was his best plan yet.
So the kids a little fucked up, but thats bc of Doffy. He's deemed the prince and everyone in the family treats him as such- honest Baby 5 and Buffalo might be a LIITTTLE ticked he gets pampered when they as kids didnt really get that all that much.
But still, he's baby
And yeah sometimes Doffy will have his dad moments-
Like taking him into town on his shoulders, catching Rosette asleep curled in his feather jacket (Doffy proceeds to slide to the ground clutching his shirt and using a snail to take photos)
And making breakfast in the morning which i dont think he ever did with himself.
He's not a good man nor a good dad but he has his moments
And Rosette is attached to Doffy despite his evilness because he's the only one in the world to love him so far, and his life got way better when he met Doflamingo- so why hate him? That's his father now!
Also I feel post Dressrosa Rosette would be taken in by the Navy to try and reform and rehome this poor boy because after Doffy got locked tf up he would have had nowhere else to go, they might try and make him a soldier, if he doesnt escape their hold first.
Tumblr media
Anyway I care them a lot- dont even get me started on my other ocs (which is just for OC x Canon)

Heart to Heart
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, and Part 4
This is the final part of a four part AU fic set just after Marineford. Law is the latest Corazon, but Rosinante is still alive.
1681 words (6638 total for all four parts), angst with a happy(ish) ending
-
Whenever he returned from a mission, Law would appear like clockwork as soon as night fell. Normally. This homecoming was anything but normal. Rosinante didn’t think much of it that first night. Law had looked worn to the bone. Rosinante had hoped he was getting rest. When Law didn’t turn up the next night, Rosinante started to worry. He checked carefully with Viola and found out Law hadn’t left his quarters once, even to eat.
That settled it. As soon as he was sure there was no one around to interrupt, he slipped into Law’s room and closed off the outside world with a snap.
Law was at his desk, medical charts and texts spread before him. Rosinante assumed Law was reading until he got close enough to see those golden eyes were fixed on the window. He was staring beyond the edges of Dressrosa toward the distant horizon. A single black feather was clutched loosely in his hand.
“Hey, kid.”
Law’s fingers twitched. For him, it was about as good as jumping in surprise. “He still hasn’t put the strings in your lips back.” This didn’t seem to be addressed to Rosinante. It certainly wasn’t directed toward him, as Law continued looking out the window. “I didn’t hear you come in.”
“I noticed.”
Every word continued to be a struggle for Rosinante but he would talk until he could no more if it got some reaction out of Law. As it was, there was an emptiness in Law’s eyes that was far too close to the look he’d had those first meetings on Spider Miles.
“Would you look at me?”
“You shouldn’t talk so much. You still need time to heal.” Law reached across his desk to place the feather on the windowsill. He replaced it with a quill and scrawled something out on a scrap of paper. “Here’s a list of teas and other natural remedies to help your throat.”
Rosinante took the note as it was passed back to him. “I appreciate it but—”
“I’m working on a salve for your lips.” Law rooted through bottles on his desk and on shelves to the side. He pulled open drawers on a cabinet and picked out different packets of fragrant herbs. They were all arranged carefully across the desk. “Some of the ingredients need time to cure before they’re ready, so you’ll have to wait a bit longer. I’ll write out instructions so that you know just what to do.”
Rosinante hugged his arms to himself to keep himself from grabbing Law to put a stop to all the anxious movement. The boy already had his movements controlled enough as it was. And it wasn’t what Rosinante really wanted.
“Law. Look at me. Please.”
Law sighed and turned slowly in his seat. His eyes immediately flicked to Rosinante’s chest. Rosinante had pulled on a light sweater for the meeting. The telltale hole in his chest couldn’t be visible but he knew it was all Law saw anyway. Law reached a hand toward it before quickly pulling it back to himself.
They were facing each other, which was a start, but Law didn’t seem any more inclined to talk to him. Rosinante frowned and then immediately winced at the pain it brought. At least now, with Law looking at him, he was free to us his hands to sign.
Are you okay?
Law scowled. “Me? I’m— you’re the one with a—” His frown deepened further and looked away again. He clutched at his own chest. For a while it seemed like he wasn’t going to say another word. In the end, voice low, he added, “I took your heart.”
His voice sounded as raw and pained as Rosinante’s.
Rosinante placed a gentle hand on Law’s face. He turned it so that he could get a better look at the bruising. He wished he knew what else Law was hiding because he was certain that there were other injuries. Law was no more one for covering up than Doffy was, so his crisp, black shirt doubtless covered injuries to his torso. Rosinante wished he knew what else was being hidden from him. He knew by now, though, that Law would simply brush off any such inquiries, so he’d try another approach.
What happened?
Law waved him off. “I was stupid. Straw Hat had a nightmare about his brother and I was too close when he woke up. Seems he wasn’t too thrilled about the idea of me trying to hold him in his bed so he wouldn’t reopen his injuries. I’m fine.”
Rosinante must have looked dubious because Law’s frown deepened.
“I am,” Law insisted. “I did a scan to check for serious injuries to be sure. I’ve had much worse. I’d be healed up by now if I had a chance to actually get some rest.”
Then why don’t you rest?
Law crossed his arms. He’d grown so much. He was a man now but there were often times Rosinante couldn’t help but see him as a child. Shrink him down a number of feet and he could have been ten again with as stubbornly sullen as he looked. Not that Law hadn’t had plenty of cause to be sullen, but Rosinante did sometimes wish he’d make more of an effort to smile from time to time. The boy’s face was really going to stick like that someday.
“I had two patients with life threatening injuries and then I had to work overtime to get here as soon as possible. I haven’t exactly had time, you know,” Law said with a tone he usually reserved for Trebol. It was a voice that said he thought he was speaking to someone who was being exceptionally dull.
Rosinante frowned at him in turn, disregarding the pain it caused to do so. You’re back now. He resisted the urge to add a request for Law not to take that tone with him. One of them would be an adult here.
Law’s eyes flicked over to his bed a few times. His hands absently fingered at his bangs in a sure sign that he was unconsciously hoping for his hat. It was a habit he’d never managed to grow out of, even though he usually didn’t wear it these days. Not having his hat to hide beneath, he turned around once more.
“I tried to sleep, alright? It didn’t stick,” he said.
Rosinante waited for an explanation that didn’t come. Law had to be absolutely exhausted if he hadn’t gotten a single good night’s sleep in weeks. It was amazing he didn’t just keel over on the spot. Law did excel at existing on spite alone but this was pushing it, even for him.
Rosinante placed a hand on Law’s back and found it was trembling. He rubbed soothing circles and waited. He wanted to demand Law tell him what was wrong. The urge would always be there, to search out all of Law’s ills and try to cure them through stubbornness alone if he had to. However, there were times to talk, to push, and then there were times to wait. Getting Law to open up about anything was so often a game of patience. If it was up to him, he’d bottle up his emotions until that bottle burst and destroyed him. Rosinante wasn’t especially inclined to let that happen.
Law became so still that Rosinante might have suspected he’d nodded off if not for the irregularity of his breathing. Rosinante stilled, also, and waited.
“Every time I try to sleep,” Law said, “I see you. I see Doflamingo with your heart and all the things he might do to you because of me.”
“Not because of you.”
Law looked up at him. “Your voice—”
“My voice be damned,” Rosinante all but growled. “And Doffy be damned. This is on him.”
Law’s face fell. “I didn’t have to give in. I could have resisted more. I should have. And I didn’t have to act on some stupid fucking impulse at Marineford. I’ve been so careful. I threw out over a decade of work and for what? Some kid who thought he could take on the entire World Government and a rival Warlord. I don’t know what I was thinking.”
“You were thinking you could help,” Rosinante said. “You saved their lives.”
“Their lives aren’t as important as yours.”
Rosinante didn’t try to dispute that. He knew it wouldn’t do any good. And besides, he knew the feeling. He’d burn the world down if it meant keeping Law safe.
Instead of arguing, he knelt down and pulled Law into a tight embrace. Law’s breath hitched. All the emotion he’d stubbornly shoved down finally broke through and he started to cry in earnest. Even someone as bullheaded as Law had his limits. Rosinante was only glad to be there to hold Law together so he didn’t break apart.
“I’m proud of you,” Rosinante murmured.
There had rarely been truer words. He’d been scared for Law’s sake, of course, but he’d been so proud when Law first called him to say what he’d done. There were times, despite all his faith in Law, where he worried this life would be too much. It would be easy for Law to let this all change him. Perhaps it would even be better for him if he did. Less painful, certainly. But when he had a chance to show who he really was on the inside, he’d done something amazing. Something neither he nor Doflamingo nor even Rosinante himself had expected.
Not that Law would hear any of that. “You shouldn’t be,” he muttered.
Rosinante rested his cheek on top of unruly black hair. “Well, I am.”
“Well, you’re an idiot.”
Rosinante laughed and pulled Law closer. “Maybe. But I can be an idiot and rightfully proud of you, kid. They’re not mutually exclusive.”
Law let out a strangled sound that might have been a laugh if it hadn’t been so drowned in tears. Then, in a voice so quiet Rosinante had to strain to hear, he said, “Then I’ll try not to let you down. Idiot.”

A Tea Party for Baby 5
(Gift fic for @velvety-love for the OP Secret Santa 2020! I really hope you like the fic - it was a ton of fun to write!)
It was quite the sight, the infamous Donquixote Doflamingo sitting at a small table in a child-sized chair, his knees practically pressed into his chest, but he would maintain that for a man of his status, any seat was a throne. Before him was a decadent assortment of pastries, chocolate-covered fruit, finger sandwiches, and quiches. Baby 5 had recently begun training to be the family’s maid, and this tea party would be a useful way to hone her serving skills. Since the eight year old girl was still too short to reach the dinner table, this was a perfectly reasonable alternative.
And yes, the dolls and stuffed animals sat up in their own chairs with cups and saucers was also absolutely necessary. She needed to learn to serve multiple people, after all.
“More tea, Young Master?” Baby 5 asked, hefting up the large china teapot, a hopeful smile on her face. There was a bit of tension around her mouth, though; visible strain from the weight of the pot that she desperately sought to hide for fear of disappointing him.
Doflamingo grinned, holding out his pink floral-patterned cup. “Yes, please.” The child had insisted on being useful to him, and while his main interest was in the deadly Devil Fruit powers she possessed, it was nice having some proper servants around.
However, her little arms trembled, the pot far too heavy for her, resulting in her inadvertently missing the cup and instead spilling hot tea onto his hand.
“Gah!”
“Oh no! Young Master, I’m so sorry! Let me get you a towel, or some ice!” she cried, nearly dropping the teapot in her panic. Luckily, Doflamingo was able to grab it before it could fall and set it on the table, preventing tea from splattering everywhere and staining his suit pants.
For a moment, his hand clenched and he glared down at her through the lenses of his fierce red sunglasses. The former Celestial Dragon wanted to be upset. She’d burned him! How dare she—
But then he looked at her distraught little face, eyes already wet with tears, and he was suddenly reminded of his precious little brother when they were children and how hard he’d tried to please him…
Picking up a napkin, Doflamingo wiped his hand clean of the tea. Honestly, it hadn’t hurt. Barely anything to someone like him. And she was trying. Really, it was impressive she could even lift the pot, considering it was nearly as big as she was and how thin her arms were. They really needed to get some meat on her bones—she wasn’t the half-starved waif who’d come to him in desperation anymore. She was part of his family. It was his job to take care of her.
Coming to a decision, Doflamingo removed a stuffed dog from the chair at his right and patted the seat. “No worries, Baby 5. Come here and I’ll pour the tea.”
“Ah! But Young Master, I—”
He gave her a reassuring smile, one as gentle as he could manage. “It’s fine, Baby 5; proper tea party etiquette says that the host should serve.”
“But then, you don’t need me,” she said sadly, small body slumping miserably.
Inwardly he grimaced. The last thing he wanted was for her to cry. So, he grinned more widely and picked her up by the back of the dress, plopping her down into the chair. “Sure I do! I need you to be a good guest! I can’t work on my hosting skills if I don’t have guests. These guys,” he said, indicating the dolls and toys, “are terrible conversationalists.”
Baby 5 visibly perked up, thrilled at still being needed in some capacity. “Oh! That’s true. Then I’ll be the perfect guest for you! I’ll be anything you need, Young Master.”
A small sigh of relief escaped his chest. Crisis averted. She was happy, and while serving himself was not ideal in most circumstances, the child could learn by example and he wouldn’t have to worry about his suit.
Getting an idea, he attached his strings to one of the dolls sat around the table, making it lift the teacup so he could pour. “Watch carefully; it’s important to hold the pot from both the handle and the spout to avoid spilling. We don’t want even a drop on the nice white tablecloth, do we?”
“No, we don’t,” she agreed, studying his technique carefully. Her dark eyes took in his every movement with near-reverence, her own little hands even miming him to ensure she would get it right later.
Satisfied, he filled Baby 5’s cup and offered her a blueberry scone. “Here, eat up—you’re a growing girl, and someone who works as hard as you deserves a treat.”
“Really?” she asked, even though she was already practically drooling as the smell of the pastries she’d baked that morning wafted up her nose.
“Really. Now have a scone, then some sandwiches, and then you can help yourself to the tarts and cupcakes.”
Practically glowing with happiness, she snatched one off the plate, but froze before she could shove it into her mouth. “Oh. Sorry,” she said, setting it on her plate and picking up her knife and fork.
Doflamingo shook his head. “Nah, you were right the first time. Eat the scone with your hands. Save the fork for the quiche.”
Thrilled that she was getting to sit at the Young Master’s side and enjoy the goodies she’d baked and laid out to his specifications, she tucked in, smile so wide her cheeks ached.
It was…kind of cute, seeing her so happy. Just a child eager to belong. Sure, she would make a fantastic assassin, but there was no reason not to let her have little moments like this, right? The chance to just be a kid and have fun? His father’s foolishness had denied him that joy after they’d left Mariejois, but he was far better than Homing.
He was the patriarch of the Doflamingo Family; it was his job to keep everybody happy. To give them all they could ever ask for so that they would do the same for him.
Looking her over, he wondered what else he could do. Her bow and dress were looking a little worn. He’d order replacements. Simple ones for everyday wear, but he was sure he could get her something cute and fancy as a reward the next time she got back from a mission. Dress her up like a doll and show her off. New shoes would be a must, too – he and his brother had constantly been outgrowing theirs, and while he doubted she’d every reach his exalted stature, she certainly would grow up to be a lovely young woman.
And lovely young women attract boys, he thought, scowling for a moment behind his teacup. Gonna have to watch her like a hawk once that happens. Can’t have anyone thinking they’re good enough for Baby 5 and trying to steal her away. I’ll make sure she’s got no reason to leave the Family. Who could provide for her like me, anyway?
On a whim, he got another idea – something that would surely amuse and delight her. Holding out his hands, he attached his strings to a pair of dolls. Like a puppet master with a pair of marionettes, he made them waltz around the table, chuckling while Baby 5 applauded and laughed with joy.
“Figured the least they could do was put on a show for us as thanks for our hospitality,” he explained, making a few more join in so it almost resembled a ball. “Too bad we can’t bring the toys to life—then they could dance without the strings.”
“Maybe there’s a Devil Fruit out there that can do that,” Baby 5 said excitedly, eager to help in any way she could.
“Hmmm, maybe there is. I’ll have to look into it,” Doflamingo agreed, rubbing his chin. The hand fell to pat her on the head. “What a clever girl you are.”
As she beamed up at him, there was a knock at the door, and without delay Corazon strolled in carrying Buffalo and Law by the back of their shirts like a pair of squirming kittens. Law even seemed to growl at his manhandling. Clearly, they’d been caught by his right-hand man doing something they shouldn’t, at least if the way he ground the cigarette between his teeth was anything to go by. However, all three of them froze at the sight of their leader serving tea to his maid-in-training surrounded by a bunch of dancing stuffed animals.
“What the he—” Law started, staring in utter bafflement.
“Ah, just in time! Baby 5 and I were having a tea party! Sit down and join us!” Doflamingo exclaimed cheerfully, indicating the newly-empty seats.
“Yes! Please, join us!” she chimed in eagerly. Even though they could be rude and mean, she considered the two boys her closest friends, so of course she wanted to have them involved. Corazon, too, even though he was grouchy and clumsy and might make the tablecloth catch fire.
Corazon looked between the tiny chairs and the uncomfortable-looking way his brother was sitting, then raised a disbelieving eyebrow.
“Oh, come on, little brother! It’s perfectly comfortable,” he said, even though he could already feel his legs cramping up. Ah well. At least he wouldn’t suffer alone, and Baby 5 could have some time enjoying herself with friends. She needed more socialization. Maybe he should call up Vinsmoke Judge – he had a daughter about her age, didn’t he? Maybe they could set up a play date.
“I’m not taking part in some stupid tea party,” Law groused, glaring at the utter ridiculousness around him.
“Kid, you can either sit down under your own power or I can tie you to the seat,” Doflamingo warned with smile. He turned to the child beside him. “But thank you for providing Baby 5 with another valuable lesson – boys are obnoxiously stubborn.”
“Law, c’mon, let’s play along-dasuyan,” Buffalo not-so-quietly whispered, eyeing the tray of cupcakes.
“Fuffuffuffuffu! But they’re easily bribed with food,” he added, smirking when she giggled. Pleased with himself, Doflamingo gave the three new guests a terrifying smile. “Now, you gonna join us like proper gentlemen, or am I going to have to show you to your seats?” he asked, raising his hand meaningfully.
A shiver ran down their backs and neither Law nor Buffalo argued as Corazon plopped them both in a chair before gingerly taking the spot opposite his brother, grimacing at how sore his legs and back would be after this.
Pleased that her friends were in fact joining the party, Baby 5 instinctively rose to her feet to serve them. A large hand on her shoulder stopped her, though, causing her to look up at Doflamingo inquisitively.
The patriarch smiled down at her, sincerity in his tone. “Now now, I told you the host should serve. The hostess who made all the preparations needs to take a load off and enjoy herself. Let us take care of you for once,” he said, pinching her cheek.
Yes, he’d take care of her, she’d take care of them, and they’d all live together as a big, happy family. What more could anyone want?

Ace's Character Background Under Cut
Many Thanks to @cyborg-franky who helped me a ton with my character development
Ace and Rosinante grew up on a naval base together; the two became close at a young age due to both being so clumsy that other kids would bully them. They bonded over this, always having one another's back and soon became best friends. They did everything together despite many of their peers thinking they were a disaster.Their friendship grew as they did. They spent most of their time together, people always thinking they were dating because everything came very natural and organic between them.
They got into all the same classes, on equal footing for most of their adolescents. They’d help one another study, pass tests, Ace would always cheer Rosi on, he found it a little harder to study, getting bored or distracted, but they would keep him together. Their friendship lacked the rivalry many young friendships would have. Instead of being bitter or constantly trying to one up another they would simply help one another be better people. Rosi ranked above Ace and instead of being jealous or looking down on themselves they were happy for Rosi.
They carried on advancing, Ace always one step behind the blonde but again, would always be the support he needed. Ace soon worked under Rosi, their biggest mission coming up. They needed to pretend to be married, the only way Rosi’s brother would accept Ace’s presence in the family. Ace was dubious at first, but everyone said how they acted like a couple anyway, so it would be perfect.
Ace was often the voice of ‘Corazon’ when they were in Spider Miles, they also developed a fondness for a young Law, seeing how this was one child they could help and if they could save just one of these poor souls then it would be worth it.
All the time the feelings they harbored for one another got stronger and stronger, it was getting harder to cope with, hard to ignore. They confessed their feelings before they left together with Law, risking everything they’d worked on until this point to save him.
There was a point when Ace knew they needed to split up, Rosi needed to travel faster to go and find the op-op no mi, to save Law. They needed to use their ability– the decoy fruit, to slow down any potential issues that would stop Rosi from helping Law. Because they got separated, Ace didn’t know what happened to Rosi, or Law.
They just heard the Marines had saved a young boy, their heart beat faster, Law was safe, even if Rosi lost his life and their mission had been a failure at least Law was okay, the boy they loved like he was their own. When it was revealed the child wasn’t Law the pink haired marine withdrew into themselves, losing everything they cared about all at once.
Later when Law had made a name for himself, when they saw the wanted poster, they cried, cried tears of joy, tears of sorrow. Rosi would always be alive as long as Law was, he carried the will of their late partner.

Omg hi I'm glad to see you back!! Open you dont get too many ask lol but from the sfw can I ask for Cora and Law the letters l.m.n?
Like father like son 🤪 I love these two so much!! Thanks for the warm welcome and for this lovely request. Hope you like it! 💕
Fluff Alphabet (Corazon, Law) (L, M, N)
Corazon
Tumblr media
L = Love Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?
- there’s hardly any need for a confession, as when Corazon is in love, it is totally obvious! he’s very shy around them, antsy, and extra clumsy. the way he stares at them so longingly and goes out of his way to be around them is honestly confession enough! but if they still don’t get the hint, Cora will take some time to build up his confidence to confess (aka lots of practicing in front of a mirror)
- he wants it to be romantic, but nothing over the top. he’ll take them somewhere secluded, somewhere pretty like a cliff overlooking the ocean or a gorgeous field of flowers. he’s dressed nice, like a teenager going to the homecoming dance. he has an entire script prepared. he makes a whole thing about it! because this person is special to him and he wants them to know that, regardless on if they reciprocate or not.
- he’ll look them dead in the eye and when he struggles to recite his script he just flat out confesses his feelings, telling them that he is crazy about them. he rambles on about how he swears to be good to them and that he wouldn’t ever hurt them. he also goes on about how he understands if they don’t feel the same way, and honestly, he won’t shut up until they kiss him! it’s a typical awkward Cora confession, but he can’t complain when it proves successful.
M = Marriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?
- Cora is definitely the marriage type, but he gets a little sad when thinking about it. is marriage really for him? his past is too traumatic and the life he lives is not a safe one, so why should he put someone else in danger just because he loves them? this makes him pretty hesitant about the whole idea of marriage, but once he meets his person, he just wants to be theirs forever.
- the proposal is cheesy of course. he takes them to the exact same place that he first confessed his feelings, dressing in the same outfit if at all possible, and basically just reenacts the moment they both fell in love. it couldn’t be any sweeter. the wedding is small and a bit secretive, with only Sengoku, a few other Marine buddies, and Law as witnesses, but having his s/o there is all he could really want.
- the marriage is truly beautiful. Cora has so much love to give and it’s unbelievably endless throughout their years together! he works hard to keep his s/o happy and to be the best husband, regardless of what life throws their way!
N = Nicknames - What do they call their s/o?
- the moment he forms a romantic relationship, the nickname “babe” instantly replaces their actual name lol he uses babe all the time! sometimes he’ll switch it up and use sweetheart or darling or anything similar, but it’s almost exclusively babe/baby. he only ever refers to them by their real name when he’s being serious. when he’s feeling playful, he’ll use some ridiculous and even flirty nicknames, just to be silly.
- he is weak for the nicknames his lover calls him. his favorites are definitely handsome, honey, and love. take advantage of his heart-theme by calling him “heart eyes” or “my heart” or anything similar and he thinks it’s the most beautiful thing ever! Rosi and Cora are also nicknames he enjoys, but really, he adores the way his name rolls so sweetly off their tongue the most!
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Law
Tumblr media
L = Love Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?
- it takes a hot minute for Law to get up the courage to confess. he spends so long trying to deny his feelings and just forget about them all together. but it proves to be unbearable as anytime his crush comes around, he basically falls apart! he starts sweating profusely, tripping over his words and his own two feet, and is just so awkward around them. the crew picks up on this instantly and basically nag him until he gives up and finally decides to confess.
- realistically, it’s probably all set up by the Heart Pirates. after finding out about their captain’s feelings, they basically team up to get them together and help their captain confess! it ends up in quite a lot of awkward run ins, a lot of Law backing out, and a very confused crush. Law’s convinced they’re doing a lot more hurting than helping, until their antics have driven (Name) into confronting Law themselves. the crew knew him well after all.
- as soon as he sees the concerned look on their face, he knows he has to follow through. he was seconds away from shambling himself out of there, but he was finally tired of running away. it took a lot of confidence to admit his feelings, he’s not one to have those kinds of feelings anyway, but with the help of some looming crew members silently cheering him on, he was finally able to confess. he’s a little dramatic with it, explaining how they’ve become his weakness and he’s a bit scared of that. he honestly ends up confusing them more with his incessant rambling about the science behind emotions, the brain, and the heart until he exasperatedly blurts out that he likes them.
- he’s embarrassed as hell as it feels like years while he awaits their response. but the moment they smile, accept, and reciprocate his feelings, a wave of relief washes over him. the crew can’t help but to cheer from where they’re hiding, and though it was all a little humiliating, the moment couldn’t have been any more perfect. he wouldn’t admit it, but the crew really saved the day!
M = Marriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?
- marriage is not something Law thinks about ever until he’s in the right relationship. at first it’s kind of scary to him, suddenly thinking about the possibilities of forever, being fully committed to one person for that long. he never really thought he’d be that kind of guy, but once the right person comes around, he can’t imagine doing anything else.
- as for weddings and proposals, Law isn’t really into all of that. not that he doesn’t want to celebrate their marriage, but he’d rather have a small, personal celebration with his fellow Heart Pirates and the uninvited Straw Hats instead of trying to have a big fancy wedding. it’s not about the wedding to him anyway, he just wants to be married to them! if his partner wants to have a big special day, he’ll budge a little, but don’t be surprised if he whines about it lol
- the marriage is hardly different than the relationship before. the love doesn’t change any just because of a certificate. the moment he accepted that he was unconditionally in love with them, he’s been fully committed to them since. he stays true to his vows, promising to love them through sickness and in health, for richer or poorer, and for as long as he lives! not all days are easy, but Law values their relationship and fights to make their relationship strong and everlasting.
N = Nicknames - What do they call their s/o?
- you’re pretty special if Law develops a nickname for you. he’s definitely not into the cutesy ones, and the most I can see him using is dear or love with his partner, but even these are “accidents”. he’ll probably come up with some nickname after the first time they do something silly or embarrassing in front of him, just to be a tease. or he’d be a total nerd and call them some scientific/medical nickname or even something related to the comics he reads. other than that, it’s mostly the typical (Name)-ya because he never gets tired of saying their name.
- calling Law nicknames can go one of two ways. 1) he gets grumpy and begs you to never call him that again, or 2) he gets super blushy and will deny to his grave that he likes when you call him that. option one usually happens with the ridiculously cutesy ones like “honey bun”, “cutie pie”, or “sugar lips”. option two is more for things like “darling”, “handsome”, and “sweetheart”. if his partner goes over the top with it, he will just refuse to respond lol he typically just prefers to be called Law by them as it’s far less embarrassing (and he likes the way they say it)

Fluff Alphabet - Rosinante - A, C, J, K, P
Tumblr media
A - activities - What do they like to do with their s/o? How do they spend their free time with them?
Cora-san likes some quality time spent together. He’s honestly happy just to spend any amount of time with you, even if it is just silently enjoying each other’s company. When he’s still with the family, that’s how most time is spent anyway, just to be safe. Once you are on your way with Law, there’s some moments where you do things together and there’s times where it feels like the three of you are a little family, although no one ever says that out loud. In between hospital visits, you do your best to distract little Law from his illness by taking him to the zoo, parks, playing games…
When it’s just the two of you, after Law has gone to bed, you two like to stargaze, you leaning back against Rosi’s broad chest as you exchange small kisses and talk about a possible future together. He doesn’t want to look forward too much, staying careful and realistic, but there’s something so calming about it and it makes him genuinely happy and motivated to look to a future that’s way different than all the things he’s gone through with his family.
Quality time with Corazon is the best way to unwind cause it’s always soft and calming.
C - comfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?
Rosinante is not that good at cheering people up and such, too awkward he thinks, and that's exactly why he is very good at it. His undercover persona is so distanced and disassociated most of the time that he's overcompensating whenever he doesn't have to keep up appearances. His dorkiness never fails to cheer you up when you're feeling down, feeling a little bad when you laugh the moment he trips and falls while walking backward in an attempt to make you smile.
Whenever you're overwhelmed by different impulses, he will use his devil fruit to quiet down the environment, making sure you can calm down. He’ll keep his distance if you don’t like to be touched, but if you need some physical reassurance he’ll just take you in his arms, making calming noises, stroking your hair and your back as you calm down. He’s not really good at saying the right things, but makes an amazing listener, and sometimes that is all you need.
J - jealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?
Rosinante does not get jealous easily. He has a deep bond of trust with you, after all, you know about his devil fruit and most of the dating you do is in secret. If anything, he wouldn't mind that much if you left him for someone else. Not that it wouldn't hurt him, it would tear him apart, but he'd find solace in the thought that you're safer then, and probably more happy that you don't have to sneak around.
It's a little harder to not be jealous when someone flirts with you when the two of you go somewhere together. Luckily his tall form and a warning glare from behind his sunglasses that he takes off just enough to glare at the unlucky fella that tried flirting with you, is more than enough to make them get out. If there is that odd one out, that thinks Cora-san is no threat, that dares ask you why you are dating a clown lookalike anyway, or upsets you in any way, he will not hesitate to pick them up by the collar and throw them away more easily than he hurled little Law out of windows.
K - kiss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?
Is he a good kisser? Yes and No. It's very hard to get that first kiss out of him. Corazon loves you intensely and deeply, enough to eventually tell you about his double role, but it's just because a relationship with him could possibly endanger you, that he's super careful, especially in the beginning. The very first kiss is soft and careful, and you will have to initiate it, sort of as a seal on your love. A promise that no matter what comes your way, you're prepared to face ot together with him.
Once he gets used to the whole idea of relationships and love, he kind of likes kissing, getting a bit more passionate, and eager. Unfortunately, with that eagerness comes his clumsiness. It's not that unusual for you two to start the kiss standing up, only to end up on the ground after he stumbled and accidentally pulling you down. He's also set you on fire a couple of times with a cigarette he was holding during a tender moment. It's all done with the best intentions, and afterward you can usually laugh about it, even though he actually feels really guilty.
Speaking of those cigarettes, ever since you two started dating seriously, he's started to carry around mints and gum, just so you don't have to feel as if you're kissing an ashtray. The taste of smoke usually still lingers in his mouth, but you really do appreciate the gesture.
P - PDA - Are they upfront about their relationship? Do they brag with their s/o in front of others? Or are they rather shy to kiss etc. when others are watching?
As Corazon, he has a certain reputation to uphold. He's mute for all the others know, so he won't brag or talk about you at all. Depending on when and how you meet, you can keep the relationship a complete secret, but if Doflamingo knows about it, you're initially welcomed in the family. This means some silent, subtle but open PDA, to affirm your status. You'll sit on his lap regularly, sharing the smallest of kisses, or just hold hands. Nothing too intense or passionate though, there's children around.
Once you get to go on the mission to save little Law's life, and there's less secrecy, Rosi will be easier to persuade to hold your hand in public or snuggle up on each other while in a waiting room for the umptieth doctor that will probably reject Law's case.
The actual love declarations and passionate moments are all kept to private time, there's only so many love declarations you can do in public while his face gets to know the pavement bricks a little better, so he decides it's safer to turn all his focus on you whenever you're sitting or laying down and little Law is sleeping already.

HC: Corazon with a deaf, petite female s/o
(Continuation of these HC, since anon requested a few more of them with their boo Corazon 😚)
Corazon easily towers over you, and he always smirks when you try to stand on your tiptoes to reach for something. When he just had a crush on you, he would just get whatever you needed off the shelf; once you two are in a relationship, he'll put his hands on your lips and lift you up.
Whenever you kiss him, his makeup will smear and he'll be too lovestruck to notice it. Baby 5 and Buffalo always make fun of him whenever they see his mouth all messed up, and the adult members of the crew smirk whenever they see him (and the mix of dark red and white makeup around your lips)
Speaking of Cora being lovestruck, he'll sometimes be so dreamy-eyed whenever you're near him that he will walk into walls, doors, over the side of the ship...
Sometimes he gets so happy when he's around you (and he knows he can't talk if you two are near the rest of the Family), that he'll just pick you up and twirl/spin you around a few times. With how tiny you are, you almost look like a doll in his arms.
Because he has to keep up the lie that he can't speak, a lot of his communication and affection with you is nonverbal. Forehead touches/kisses (kisses everywhere, tbh), holding hands, tracing little circles and shapes into your skin when you cuddle together, etc.
He never tries to get you to talk if you don't want to. At first the kids thought you were mute like him, but once they heard you talk, they were constantly pressuring you to speak more. Corazon would always appear behind you and scare them into backing off, and once they'd left you alone he would smile gently and ruffle your hair a bit.
While most of his communication is nonverbal, he does talk to you when you're asleep. He'll use his DF to make sure nobody else can hear him, and he'll tell you everything he's afraid to say when you're awake:
I love you...and I'm so, so scared of losing you. You and Law deserve a better life, and if Doflamingo manages to find out who I am, it'll only lead to more misery for the two of you. I knew that from the start, and I fell in love with you anyway. Heh, guess Doffy isn't the only selfish one in the family...

Penny Dreadful: City of Angels
Episode 1: Santa Muerte - Recap and Review
Tumblr media
SPOILER WARNINGS ARE IN EFFECT BELOW THE CUT
The episode opens with a Mexican standoff (ba dum tsh) between Santa Muerte (Lorenza Izzo) and her “sister” Magda (Natalie Dormer), who seriously has to be roasting under the Southern California sun in that black leather outfit.  (Sidenote, how does a Mexican folk spirit/deity have a British woman as a sister?  Guess she was adopted.)  Anyway, Magda is monologuing, as villains tend to do, saying “All mankind needs to become the monster he truly is, is being told he can.”  They go back and forth for a minute, and I was eerily reminded of the movie Constantine that came out many moons ago.  Y’know the one, right?  Loosely (and I mean loosely) based on the comic character?  Played by Keanu Reeves?  That was the vibe I go here, with Santa Muerte and Magda making some kind of bet about the “worthiness” of mankind.  (I also got strong jealous ex vibes from Magda in this scene, but we’ll see how that goes).
So we start the action by showing a field of Mexican-American laborers working the fields with a little boy sitting on the truck, picking the music they listen to.  His father jokes about his choice of music before getting back to work.  Now I’ll be the first to admit that everything that played out next was just this side of tone deaf.  I understand that Magda is the villain here, and wants to see humanity burn, but having a white woman set fire to a field full of brown people, resulting in several deaths kind of defeats the message they’re trying to send with this show, but I will suspend my disbelief for a little while to see how all of this plays out.
All in all, it was a beautiful shot, as gruesome as it was, with the flames, and then seeing Santa Muerte cradling the boy’s father as he died in the flames all while La Llorona played in the background.  The boy tries to save his father, but Santa Muerte uses the Force to push him away, despite not even two minutes earlier claiming she “had no heart for the living”.  Must be something special about this boy.
Cut to 1938 and the boy is all grown up.  Tiago Vega (Daniel Zovatto) just passed his exam to become a detective, the first Chicano detective in Los Angeles.  His Mamá (Adrianna Barraza) prepared him a cake to celebrate the occasion, and we get to meet the rest of La Familia Vega.  First there’s Mateo (Johnathan Nieves), who is seriously adorable.  Next is Josefina (Jessica Garza), who is the baby of the family.  And then finally we get the big brother, Raul (Adam Rodriguez), who “mysteriously” isn’t a part of the main cast.
Anyway, Raul is not happy about his baby brother being a detective, given the Mexican and Mexican-American relations with law enforcement, which... valid.  He has a point.  But Mamá quickly shuts Raul down when he tries to be a Negative Nancy and they celebrate as a family.  Cut to later, and Mamá is walking Tiago to the bus, and they remark about the construction equipment at the end of the street.  Here we’re introduced to the main conflict of the story.  Their neighborhood is set to be demolished to make way for construction for the Arroyo Seco Parkway, the first of the LA freeways.  Mamá remarks about the machines, likening them to animals baring their teeth at her, before Tiago gets on the bus to go to his apartment, because he’s the only member of the family to move away from home.
By the way, I will never complain about the size of my apartment again after seeing how tiny Tiago’s is.
Cut to the next morning, where the phone rings, waking Tiago up, and it’s his new partner on the phone.  Congratulations!  You get to start two days early with no prep time.  Said partner, Detective Lewis Michener, is played by Nathan Lane like you’ve never seen him before.  And as an aside, just hearing him drop the F-bomb made my day.  The reason they’re starting early is because their was a homicide, and the captain himself called them specifically.  The murder is a family of four, dropped in the Los Angeles river bed, their faces painted in Dia De Muertos makeup.  Also, there’s a message scrawled nearby in blood (or red paint)
TE LLEVAS NEUSTRO CORAZON TOMAMOS EL TUYO
“You take our heart, we take yours.”  If you haven’t guessed it by now, the hearts of the four victims had been removed.  This all ties back to the Arroyo Seco Parkway and how it’s planned to cut through the heart of the Chicano community.  Michener makes the connection as to why they were called, “It’s a spick thing.”  (Fair warning, that kind of language, while not super common in this show, isn’t exactly uncommon.)
Elsewhere, Mamá is getting off the bus in a fancy part of town, because she’s a maid to Peter Craft (alum Rory Kinnear), who is a German immigrant with two sons and a wife that looks a little strung out.  This scene is pretty filler, but it establishes the dynamic of Craft’s household, with him talking to Mamá before his own wife.  He leaves for work, listening to tape recordings in his car as a way to practice on getting rid of his accent to blend in and “be more American”  It was kind of adorable.
Back at the police precinct, Tiago got blood on his cuff from the crime scene and MIchener tells him to just throw the shirt out.  Que the racist cops who harass Tiago, because the audience needs to understand just how unwelcome a Chicano detective is among his all white peers.  The two visit their captain and discover that their four victims are a wealthy family from Beverly Hills, which judging by everyone’s reactions in the scene is a pretty big deal for some reason.  There was a horrible moment where the captain says “You have no idea how much I wished those bodies were Mexican” before he realizes who is in the room and adds a halfhearted “No Offense.”  I have to say, Tiago has way more patience than I do for shrugging it off.  The captain decides that it’s obviously Mexicans behind the murders and Michener suggests pachucos.
Now we’re back with Craft, who is a pediatrician, and his current patient is the son of... Natalie Dormer... but now she’s blonde?  Elsa is concerned about her son Frank’s breathing problems and talks with the doctor privately about it, revealing that she’s also a German immigrant, originally from Berlin, “but now we’re in Boyle Heights, with the Jews” (seriously not a fan of how she said that, which I’m guessing is the point, but only time will tell).  There’s a moment between the two, with him offering her his handkerchief when she starts crying.
After she leaves, we get one of the most disturbing scenes I’ve ever seen.  It takes a lot to unnerve me, but this scene unnerved me.  If you’re going into this show blind, let this be the moment when you find out that all the characters played by Natalie Dormer are all Magda, who shapeshifts into other people to further influence the negative emotions of those around her, bringing out the worst in humanity.  Well, “Elsa” enters the elevator with her “son” and unbuttons her blouse before placing his head against her stomach.  She absorbs him back into herself like some sort of weird reverse-birth, taking him “back to the womb” as it were.  It wasn’t overly graphic, but it unnerved me nonetheless.
Back at the doctor’s office, one of his nurses asks what he wants for lunch and he says he’ll be going out.  He walks over to his closet and opens it, revealing a Nazi flag and uniform.  Abort!
Abort!
At the city hall there is a meeting of the City Council, or some division of it involving transportation.  Its a meeting to discuss the Arroyo Seco Parkway, with almost everyone in attendance being Mexican, led, of course, by Tiago’s older brother Raul.  Gotta have that brother-against-brother angle.  The guy leading the meeting is some douchebag named Townsend (Michael Gladis). There’s a standoff between him and Raul over this parkway, with Townsend telling them to “go back where they came from”, which Raul responds rather cheekily to the fact that he was born in the Los Angeles County Hospital, same as him.
Raul: “When progress becomes barbarity, it ceases to be in the public interest.  We are the public, sir, no matter the color of our skin, and we will not be moved.”
Townsend: “Then you will be pushed.”
Naturally from there it ends in police brutality, with the cops on scene beating Raul with their clubs as they drag him from the city hall, despite it being open to the public.  And people wonder why no one likes the police? Although, I do love the fact that they made Raul so well-spoken.  Given how they’re presented as poorer, it would have been so easy to fall back on that illiterate Mexican trope, but they shied away from that, and I’m grateful.
After the meeting, Townsend is walking down the hall with Natalie Dormer by his side, this time as a gray-haired, middle-aged woman?  Man?  It’s unclear at first, until we get a wide shot and we see that she’s wearing a skirt with her masculine suit and tie combo, so definitely a woman.  Personally, I would have been okay if this persona - Alex - had been a man, but that’s just me.  Anyway, Alex is just feeding this blowhard’s ego, and he equates himself to Mussolini, and then Hitler (ABORT!).  The topic turns to more motorways, stuff to keep Townsend in the papers for some unknown purpose.
And we’re back to the Michener and Vega hour, where the two detectives are enjoying their lunch break when we hear drums and look up to see Nazis - I’m sorry, the German-American Bund - walking down the street in full regalia with Craft at their head.  Craft gives a big speech about staying out of foreign affairs (it’s 1938 and WWII is just about to start), saying “America First”.  Michener is giving them the stink eye and it’s at this point I remembered that he’s Jewish, so odds are he knows full well what the ideology behind the Nazi Party, even if their worst crimes are still ahead of them.
Michener insists they go, with the two heading over to Beverly Hills to investigate the home of the murder victims.  Inside there’s a portrait of who I thought was Joseph Smith above the fireplace, which I guess means these people were Mormons.  The radio, when turned on, is playing some Radio Evangelist (this is before Televangelism became a thing), and I think the woman preaching is the last member of our cast, Sister Molly (Kerry Bishé).  The two investigate the house and determine that the family wasn’t murdered there, though they do discover that the father was one of the guys behind the Arroyo Seco Parkway.
The plot thickens.
Cut to a shadowy meeting at the bluffs between Townsend and Baron von Strucker from the MCU.  Ugh, more Nazis.  The new Nazi talks to Townsend about getting him the position of Mayor of Los Angeles, to further their own agenda, and warns him that his driver is a Gestapo agent and has been told to shoot Townsend if the meeting does not go their way.
Later that night, we’re in downtown L.A., presumably in a Mexican-American neighborhood where Mateo works.  There’s some hanky panky going on in the store where he’s stocking shelves where some random dude and his sister, Josefina, are getting to second base.  Mateo puts the kibosh on that quickly, chasing the boy from the store while shouting obscenities, before arguing with this sister, until Mamá shows up and sets them both straight.  There’s a poignant moment between mother and son where he remarks about how as a Chicano, his options for the future are limited, that Tiago was the exception, not the rule.
Speaking of Tiago, he shows up to ask about Santa Muerte and if his mother had heard anything about something going on, as he recognized the face paint on the murder victims.  It’s revealed that he doesn’t believe in Santa Muerte, though his mother does and remarks about him being “marked”, revealing that he was the little boy from the beginning.  We all know that something bigger is going on, but Tiago is unconvinced, and this is the one time we see him and Mamá butt heads.  There’s a moment where the two calm down before we get a really cute scene of Tiago dancing with his mother.
That moment slides into a moment between Los Hermanos Vega, which starts nicely but ends up tense and serious, as they talk about the construction of the parkway to begin on Monday, which requires Tiago to be with the police but his brothers will be with the neighborhood.  I think they’re taking this brother-against-brother thing a little far.
Mamá is praying to Santa Muerte, begging for help, and Santa Muerte actually shows up, calling Mamá “Old Coyote” (I think).  The two argue, with the former mentioning a prophecy and the Vega matriarch begging for any kind of help because she wants to protect her children.  After Santa Muerte leaves, Mamá goes to Tiago’s apartment and implores him to try and stop the protest the next day, before chugging his whiskey.
As the episode started, that’s how we end it, with a Mexican standoff, this time between the police and the residents of Belvidere Heights.  Tiago hands his gun to Michener and tries to talk down his neighborhood, to avoid bloodshed, facing off directly with his brothers who are at the front of the opposing crowd, but unbeknownst to all of them, Magda is there (in her “true” form) pacing in front of the police.  She finds one officer and we see her whispering in his ear, which leads to him firing his gun, killing one of the protesters.  Gunfire erupts and chaos ensues, leading to a full blown riot.  Magda ends up whispering to Raul next and he takes a gun and starts shooting police officers, eventually aiming his gun at Michener.  In a heartbreaking moment, Tiago shoots his own brother to stop him from killing his partner, all while La Llorona is once again playing in the background.
Tumblr media
All in all, I’d give the episode an 8/10.  It was a great start, introducing most of the key players involved and getting the conflict started right away, but there are still a lot of questions.  Also, there were too many Nazis in this for my liking.  I understand the point they’re trying to make, being a parallel to today, with Nazis being everywhere and no one batting an eye about it, but it’s still unsettling.
Can’t wait to see how this all turns out.

Hello, I love your blog! Can I request Law finding out his SO is pregnant? Like, she's nervous about how he's gonna feel and react to it so she hasn't brought it up to him yet, and keeps acting like "oh no everything's fine nothing's going on hahaha", (but he's a doctor so he kinda has a feeling he knows what's going on anyway), so I guess just what are his thoughts and how would that conversation go? Thank you so much!
I like that. I feel like being a father will be deeply connected with Corazon to him and this is the kind of drama I.am.here.for 👏💕🌹❤I googled pregnancy Symptoms and already got the first advertisement for pacifers...thanks google😒
He actually knew it before you did. Althought, pregnancy and childbirth are not his field, he could put one and one together.
Morning sickness, the growth of your bust ( he is very observative, especially in that part of your body) and tiredness. It was clear as the day to him.
At first it was unclear to him what he should do. Should he be happy?
You found out a while later, also unsure. You on the other hand loved the child already. The mother instinct already kicking in.
You kept it for yourself for the first few weeks, not wanting to cause a commotion. You wanted to sort out your own thoughts at first.
During your stay on an island in order to get groceries and supplies, you watched familys and imagined having one yourself, you did not notice that your boyfriend did the same.
Law knows that a child is a good thing and he knows that he could do it as well. The only thing that bothered him was the thought of raising a child in such a cruel world. Could he protect his offspring? Could he be a good father? He knew that he could probably keep the child alive, but that does not mean that he will be a good father.
The surgeon remembers his father figure Corazón more often than usual. He wants to be like the clumsy man. Wants to be as protective and understanding as he was. Another thing that botheres him is the fact that you didn´t tell him, yet. Don´t you trust him?
Law tries to give you a little push into telling him by asking if you´re ok more often.
You on the other hand, made your decision. You will love the baby. It was clear to you that you have to tell Law. In the end he will see your belly at one point anyway.
So the day came, you planned it all, but in the end you blabbered it out while sitting in bed next to him and mentally cursed yourself.
Your boyfriend slowly turns to you. “I know”. You are confused.
“Law...can we do this?”
“We have to” He touches your stomach gently. “We will”
Law will take Corazón as his role model. He will do anything to protect his child and you as well.
Your child might grow up in a pirate crew, but the captain will make sure that there is no safer place for his little family.

idk how this media hyperfixation ask game works, like do you answer to all questions or just the i choose? anyways for one piece: 💢 🏳‍🌈✨🎥💕
💢 what do you NOT like about your hyperfixation? is there something you would want to change about it?
oh fuck, where do i begin? i guess the most obvious is oda’s treatment of women. i don’t think it’s as terrible as people who haven’t read the series thing that it is, but it’s still not great. and actually, the art style isn’t really the part that bothers me, it’s more about misogynistic stereotypes (girls don’t fight, if they do they fight other girls/it’s not melee, girls are the babysitters/serious ones while guys are the fun ones, stuff like that), and the pervert/nosebleed jokes. the first complaint is actually one of the main reasons i love carrot so much, because she shows that oda is able to write female characters who are scrappy and tough and like to have fun, and i hope he continues to do so. i also get really happy when characters like nami and robin are allowed to be kind of dorky and fun, like nami wanting to be a ninja and robin having a ridiculously dark sense of humor. tl;dr, i have hope that oda is getting better when it comes to female characters, but up until now he definitely hasn’t handled them so well.
i also have problems with some of the story arcs, like i think wano has been really boring so far because it feels like the strawhats have been completely sidelined, and i had similar issues back in dressrosa. some arcs definitely have more problems than others, and imo skypeia through marineford is still the most engaging chunk of the series (maybe with thriller bark cut out, because i didn’t like that one too much, lol.)
🏳‍🌈 do you have any headcanons (lgbt, race, neuro, etc) that are important to you?
i’m one of the few fans who doesn’t really like any inner-crew pairings (i don’t mind all of them, but i think it’s really cool that oda wants to keep romance out of the series and i think the crew is just better as a family), so even though i do have lgbt headcanons none of them are really for the sake of shipping. but anyways, lesbian nami is so fucking important. usopp and zoro are also gay, robin and franky are bi, and aside from that i… really don’t care. i also think that most of the strawhats have ptsd, nami has ocd, luffy has adhd, and robin has bpd.
✨ what draws you towards your hyperfixation? what is interesting about it?
i’ve been reading one piece since early middle school and what’s always stood out to me about it is its ability to remain interesting and maintain a sense of direction despite its length. with series like naruto and inuyasha, it began to feel like a chore to keep reading, because the authors were so clearly just stretching out the story. one piece is long as shit, but it’s incredibly purposeful; oda is so thoughtful and it’s really evident that he’s been planning this story long-term. i’ve also always loved character driven stories, and “a group of traumatized misfits find family in each other” is like my favorite trope ever, so i love the straw hats. plus i love the fantastical settings like skypeia and whole cake island.
🎥 do you have any favorite scenes from your hyperfixation?
off the top of my head... luffy ringing the golden bell after defeating enel, usopp shooting down the world govt flag, hiriluk’s cherry blossoms, corazon telling law he loves him..... oh, the iconic vivi sendoff with The Pose (TM), and uhh... carrot drawing the strawhats as a shoujo, lmao. also i don’t watch the anime anymore but my favorite animated scene is luffy punching charlos, it’s even done by one of my favorite animators.
💕 tell us about one of your favorite characters and why you like them!
CARROT!! i fucking love carrot so much and i want her to become a straw hat so badly...... i liked her right away because uh. she’s cute. but then she quickly became my favorite character because she’s so different from all the other female characters in the series. like i said before, i love that carrot is super strong, i love that she’s a melee fighter, i love that she’s adventurous and irresponsible and a little dumb. she actually reminds me a lot of luffy, who is also one of my favorite characters. plus she gets a totally metal super saiyan form and i really hope we get to see her fight more!

Clarke’s an ex-army medic working in a coffee shop with a whole lot of emotional baggage. Bellamy, a law student and avid Marvel fanatic, is on track to follow in his father’s footsteps and be everything he thought he was born to be. But what happens when he starts to fall for the apathetic and sarcastic barista at his favourite coffee place? What if his fate wasn’t as black and white as it seemed?
Chapter One here!
Clarke could never quite manage to keep "Peter" out of her mind. Even doing the most mundane tasks, there he was. She had never felt this way before about anyone, neither her ex boyfriend or deceased girlfriend. Her cynical self knew that it was childish to have a crush on someone after talking to them for less than two minutes, yet she still yearned to see him again.
A week after they'd met, she'd almost given up hope.
It was 12pm and CLarke was already mind-numbingly bored. She was at work, and she hadn't seen a single customer. It was pouring with rain, thunder clapping intermittently, and even their regulars ceased to show up. Clarke leaned against the counter, daydreaming. Without her noticing, a tall man in a dripping suit with a Pokémon backpack came through the door. His deep voice brought her down to earth.
"One medium caramel frappé, please."
Shock registered on her face as Clarke processed what just happened. She opened her mouth to speak, but then shook her head, as if reminding herself of her cynicism.
"Name?" Her voice was the one she always used for customer service : bland, empty and filled with annoyingly fake cheer.
"Tony Stark." The man looked disappointed at Clarke's lack of enthusiam. The bright grin he wore as he walked in looked like it had been wiped off of his face with the dirty mop sitting neglected in the corner of the café.
"Here you go, Mr. Stark." Clarke passed him his coffee with a fake smile. In her head, she cursed herself as he left.
Clarke didn't used to be like this. As a child, she was that one kid who was always frustratingly happy. Even into her teens, she smiled at everyone and just wanted the people she cared about to be happy. She was a huge believer in fate, and that the universe had a plan for everyone, and that everything happened for a reason. And then Finn started to take his anger out on her. Often, Clarke would leave dates covered in bruises and with a head full of insults. Still, she persevered.
Until Finn started to get worse. He dropped out of their prestigious high school in favour of sinking pint after pint in a seedy bar and waste all of his father's money on gambling. Every time he lost, that was it for Clarke. Eventually, she knew she had to leave. As soon as she graduated high school, she shipped herself off into the army to become a medic. She never told anyone the real reason. Her mother was proud of her, because that's exactly what her father did. She'd lost most of her friends from dating Finn. And Finn? He didn't notice until he realized his punching bag had left. The day she left, something inside Clarke broke. She had become an empty shell of the smiling kid she once was. And she'd only get emptier.
*Bellamy's POV*
Bellamy didn't know what it was about the cute girl who worked at his local coffee shop, but he was smitten with a capital S. Pretty blonde hair cascaded down her shoulders, a soft smile that he could tell didn't appear often, and her eyes were the brightest blue he'd ever seen. They looked like the sky on a beautiful summer's day.
He was intrigued by her, the way she carried herself. She looked.. not broken, but not completely whole either. Bellamy wished he could help, but he didn't even know her. All he'd even said to her was some childish garbage about being Spiderman and IronMan. In his head, he wrestled with the thought that she wasn't interested. She'd seemed so apathetic the last time he was in there. Bellamy didn't give up that easily, though. If anything, he was tenacious. He /was/ a law student after all. He made a pact with himself to talk to her /properly/ the next time he was in there.
*Clarke's POV*
The next day, at the exact same time, Bellamy walked in again. This time, Clarke smiled slightly at him, earning her a full grin back.
"One medium caramel frappé, please."
"Name?"
"Bruce Banner." His eyes shone brighter than the stars at Clarke's small chuckle after he said it.
Much like the previous day, he paid and left with no further words between them. Though, she did notice that his expression looked almost scared or pained as he turned to leave.
In her head, Clarke planned to talk to him tomorrow. She told herself it was just to ask his name and his name only, because it was getting annoying not knowing his actual* name. Deep down, though, she craved something more. A real talk, his phone number...
But he never came the next day. Nor the day after. Clarke waited from the start of her shift until Eric closed up at 8pm - hours after her shift ended - but he never showed. Her mind flashed back to the day she left for the army, the overwhelming feeling of emptiness she felt, the realization that fate was garbage and that life wasn't kind. She felt the same way when her ex-girlfriend passed. Maybe it was overdramatic, but she felt that way now, too. She'd only known "Peter" for a week and didn't even know his real name, but he was almost like a beacon of hope for her, a sign of things to come, the first thing that had really made her smile for the first time in years. And now he was gone. To Clarke, this was just more proof of life's cruelty.
i know this chapter is extremely short, but i’ve already written three and four, both of which are a lot longer! that aside, i hope you liked it!
