#feel like it should be said that Instagram is terrible for my mental health. to a worse degree than twitter somehow #granted I haven’t been in any drama on any platform or anything it’s just that Instagram feels so hostile???#like they show your follower count and your pictures in a grid so people immediately can judge the consistency of your layout or your clout #and then the algorithm is shitty and never really favors you #unless you’re posting at such a high volume that they have to feature at least one of the 5 posts you put out in a week #also because so many young artists that get popular find specific ways to game the algorithm such as #drawing the same anime girl with the same pink pop color aesthetic 100 times #this is not to say the platform is like. end all be all terrible tho #it’s just very much not for me

in work drama updates: the person who outed me is the same person who’s been ratting people out to our supervisor.

This one guy joked about not working out his full two weeks bc he was so excited to leave so they went to management and told them that he straight up said he wasn’t going to show up on his last day so they sent him home half a week early.

Another coworker told them she was in the final round interviews for another job and they also went to management and they ended up firing her the same day

huh, the amount of people who perceived themes other than eugenics and transhumanism in regards to evolution in phyrexia is very interesting to me

#just. Huh!#i get the aesthetic appeal dont get me wrong the entire design for phyrexia is very cool #but considering the core philosophies behind the creation of original phyrexia and how that bleeds into new phyrexia #the amount of people i see who go to great lengths to kind of. twist it into a leftist or trans symbol is fascinating #when at its core its based upon an ideology that seeks to ''perfect'' perceived ''flaws'' like being transgender #but at the same time transhumanism and the idea of changing your body to something optimal is also heavily significant #thematically when it comes to trans stories. especially when considering the perception of so many people that transitioning is somehow #a mutilation of the human body that turns someone into a monster (wrong). so i can see why other trans people #would identify with phyrexia in that vein. being seen as monsters for undergoing such a procedure #for me phyrexia and the procedure behind phyresis has always come off more as an allegory #for medical procedures done to ''perfect/fix'' the unwilling. forced reassignment for intersex people or lobotomization of the disabled #sterilization of the “undesireable”.#esp with yawgmoths (self proclaimed eugenicist though his writer was kinda confused abt what eugenics actually is)#malpractice and violence upon the masses and views on race and the reverence that phyrexia (his creations of course) hold for hi #*him #and the facets of that worship which continued to exist into new phyrexia

i feel like i should finish the season before i give a more thorough assessment but like i do think the biggest problem with netflix sandman is that it just looks like complete and total shit

honest to god parents are the most entitled people in the world. like you can ask them the most basic shit like “can you leave frequently used items at the front of the fridge please so that they are easily accessible” and they’ll be like “the audacity. the AGGRESSION. how dare you make demands of me. it’s MY house and you are the CHILD. how DARE you lecture me about how I choose to live in MY OWN HOUSE. i am not having this discussion with you. you’re clearly too upset to be rational. i’m not having this discussion while you’re so emotional.”

#personal #my mom has been doing this thing for a long time but especially recently #where she acts like i’m an aggressor and she’s a victim for asking for the smallest courtesies #for example: please *ask me* to move my things first before moving them yourself #please don’t put stuff on top of my computer #please don’t move my meds (or at the very least please keep my meds together)#and she gets SO offended #and there have been a large number of things recently where she has moved them without asking me #and things have been separated #and i can’t find the other parts #(like my meds which i keep on the table with a glass of water so i remember to take them bc i have a hard time remembering)#and she (and now my dad) is convinced that a 0.02% aesthetic improvement to the table is worth making me miss my meds #like they’re just somehow convinced that because i’m their kid they have no obligation to respect me or my belongings #and that they have no obligation to be decent housemates #and i’m just really fucking tired of how entitled they get #yeah i don’t care that i don’t own the goddamn house you still have to be respectful housemates
