Earth's Mightiest Heroes has my favorite interpretation of the Avengers, ever. Captain America especially.
In this show, you can really feel how out of time Cap feels. Seeing him outside of his costume is a extreme rarity here. And while that is common in this show, we still see the other heroes in normal clothing at various points. But Captain America? Almost never.
This is a product of how there is nothing left in his life besides being an Avenger. All of his comrades are long dead, his world is long dead. Everything that Cap has ever known has died and changed. All but his enemies.
He puts his all into being a hero. To the point that he becomes the very definition of the word.
Even when against foes Captain America is always compassionate, always trying to seek common ground, to turn them from enemies to allies. Even in the darkest situation, he rallies ideological foes into a team, railing against those that would conquer them.
He is exactly what Captain America should always be as a character.

The level in which this show depicts the 'adults' not listening to the 'kids' and a husband considering his wife as crazy is grating on my nerves so bad, it's great.

Going through the Sense8 tag (because I’m rewatching and it’s still the best) and I just love how much of it is yelling at Netflix about other terrible decisions.

I found out through an ask that you like jwcc..... You just moved up my favourite tumblr users list even more
Of course I do! A cartoon that expands and improves on the original concept of the films, treats its characters with respect, portrays a healthy sense of 'Eat the Rich", and has dinosaurs in it?? I ate that shit up.

One of my biggest nitpicks in fiction concerns the feeding of babies. Mothers dying during/shortly after childbirth or the baby being separated form the mother shortly after birth is pretty common in fiction. It is/was also common enough in real life, which is why I think a lot of writers/readers don't think too hard about this. however. Historically, the only reason the vast majority of babies survived being separated from their mother was because there was at least one other woman around to breastfeed them. Before modern formula, yes, people did use other substitutes, but they were rarely, if ever, nutritionally sufficient.
Newborns can't eat adult food. They can't really survive on animal milk. If your story takes place in a world before/without formula, a baby separated from its mother is going to either be nursed by someone else, or starve.
It doesn't have to be a huge plot point, but idk at least don't explicitly describe the situation as excluding the possibility of a wetnurse. "The father or the great grandmother or the neighbor man or the older sibling took and raised the baby completely alone in a cave for a year." Nope. That baby is dead I'm sorry. "The baby was kidnapped shortly after birth by a wizard and hidden away in a secret tower" um quick question was the wizard lactating? "The mother refused to see or touch her child after birth so the baby was left to the care of the ailing grandfather" the grandfather who made the necessary arrangements with women in the neighborhood, right? right? OR THAT GREAT OFFENDER "A newborn baby was left on the doorstep and they brought it in and took care of it no issues" What Are You Going to Feed That Baby. Hello?
Like. It's not impossible, but arrangements are going to have to be made. There are some logistics.

I did not expect Dad-Alastor but I CHERISH it!
Dont care if he’s being obviously manipulative, I think he meant it a little bit! Deep down in his cold dead heart.🖤

my mother taught me to crochet when i was young. she was left handed, so she taught me how in the bathroom mirror so her hands would be in the right position.
she learned to crochet from her grandmother, who was right handed. her grandma was the one that originally used the bathroom mirror to teach her granddaughter properly.
i find something poetic about that. here in this bathroom mirror, through generations, we adapt to our young who have a different way of learning and interacting with the world

I don't mind that Walker Scobell doesn't look like book!Percy because 1) he's absolutely got the spirit. Walker basically is Percy, you can see and feel that in every one of his scenes, and
2) If book!Percabeth had a baby, he would look exactly like Walker Scobell, and I think that's hilariously perfect
