a/n: it's been a long time coming but i'm finally here! i've actually had this saved on my drafts for quite a long time BUT never posted it. however, since we got charles pole today, i thought you might like this even tough is a crap (i'm so sorry, you absolutely deserve better works) :)

Charles and you decided to attend a party they had been invited by someone the driver didn’t even know, that took place at one of the most famous venues in Monaco. Although you initially felt intimidated because none of Leclerc's colleagues had appeared yet, as you drank a few drinks, the music seemed interesting enough for you to dance along with the twinkling lights.

To say that Leclerc was happy with his performance on the track that afternoon would be a li. His pride was immense because he had finally achieved the victory: winning not only for the first time in 2024 season, but also winning his very own home race for the first time ever. This had led to great acclaim not only from his fans but also from specialists, the press, the team, and even his colleagues, who were eagerly awaiting il predestinato's return to the victories.

In those moments, with his shiny black suit highlighting his appearance and, especially, his trained body, he felt unique, and even more so with you by his side. You were matching your partner perfectly with the dazzling dress you were wearing and that fit you perfectly.

As you enjoyed a drink in a quiet corner after a long time on the dance floor, Leclerc wrapped his arm around your waist, intending to bring you closer to his side. Your eyes met, somewhat mischievous, leading to a playful smile forming on your lips.

"Charles, you’ve been incredible in today's race," you exclaimed with excitement, proudly praising your boyfriend's talent. "I'm so proud of you."

Charles returned your smile, feeling filled with joy by your unconditional support.

"Thank you, darling. But what I'm proud of, and also lucky for, is having you in my life," he responded tenderly.

You continued chatting animatedly without an apparent topic of conversation, ranging from what would be your next holiday destination to the upcoming race, which would take place in Canada. However, when you started talking about a charity event that Charles would have the opportunity to lead, your gazes turned to a familiar figure approaching you: Lando Norris.

"Hey, Charles! Congratulations on that first place!" Norris exclaimed, excited to see his friend.

"Thanks, Lando!" the mentioned replied enthusiastically, patting the McLaren driver on the back. "You did great too. A sixth place is not what I expected from those cars, but it was truly impressive taking into account the strategy they had for you."

"Stop talking about McLaren when you know we can talk about Ferrari," Norris joked.

You observed the interaction between the two drivers with a mix of pride and curiosity. At first, you decide to give space to both guys, letting them freely discuss the day's events without the attentive gaze of a girl. However, when you finished checking your social media and posted a few Instagram stories with photos you took that morning, you decided to join the conversation.

"Lando, have you forgotten about me?" you teased. "I'm still in shock from today's race. It was a real spectacle."

"Thanks, Y/N!" He stopped looking at you and instead turned to his friend. "What do you think if we celebrate our incredible, but true, achievements together now? No one else is coming, and I talked to Carlos earlier!"

You looked at Charles, seeking his approval. He, a bit tipsy, nodded with a smile.

"I had other plans in mind but I think we can actually postpone them. Right, Y/N?"

With such a declaration, you three headed to the dance floor, not without first ordering something to drink to accompany you in your enjoyment full of laughter, excitement and dance moves that were surely the ones from someone who’s had enough drinks for a day.

As you moved to the rhythm of the music, Charles noticed you stepping away from his side to join some members of the Ferrari team. He decided to follow you, ready to talk to his coworkers. To his surprise, you were chatting animatedly, in the midst of the crowd, with Lando, who had excused himself to go to the bathroom minutes before.

Jealousy and anger coursed through his body in a shiver. The Monegasque felt an urgent need to intervene and mark his territory. As much as he knew you didn't depend on him, and you were both completely independent individuals sometimes, moments like this were the ones where he felt a hint of insecurity about those who, apparently, dared, even minimally, to intrude on your relationship.

Forgetting his discretion and good judgment, Charles rushed towards you and the Brit, his eyes filled with determination and a threatening look on his face, ignoring the insults he had received from those drunkards he had punched.

"What's going on here?" he demanded to know in an authoritative and tense tone.

You and Lando turned, surprised, at Charles's intrusion. You looked at him, confused by the jealousy in your boyfriend's face. You were simply discussing with Norris the idea for a special party in Monaco the following week, just before the next Gran Prix, in honor of Charles’ recent victory.

"Love, you're misinterpreting things," you said, trying to stay calm. "We were just talking as friends," you emphasized the last word.

Leclerc clenched his fists in an attempt to control his anger.

"I don't want you to keep talking to him," he communicated harshly, surprising you greatly.

Lando intervened, trying to alleviate the tension and, especially, to calm his friend's apparent sadness:

"Dude, you have no reason to make a scene in front of everyone over an insignificant bout of jealousy. We're just having a friendly conversation about something for next week, okay?"

Leclerc's expression became even tenser, and his eyes narrowed as he noticed the symbiosis that you, his girlfriend, and Lando, his friend and opponent, seemed to have in hiding something.

"I wouldn't want to ask you again, so... What were you talking about?" Charles inquired in an even sharper tone.

Feeling you boyfriend's murderous gaze, you tried your best not to burst into tears over something as stupid as Charles's insecurity.

"Seriously, believe us," Lando spoke, trying to calm the brunette down. "You have to trust us, we were just talking about something we came up for next week just before Canada!"

The Ferrari driver tried to control his anger, if it was still possible. Meanwhile, he took his time to look at you with, once again, a mix of anger and disappointment, mainly for not answering him.

"And you, why don't you answer me? Are you only interested in him now?"

You looked at him surprised by such a comment, and tried to explain quickly:

"I'll repeat it again, honey: we were just having a friendly conversation! Lando is my friend and your rival, friend, or whatever you want to say it, but there's nothing more to it!"

Out of nowhere, Charles gently took you by the wrist and led you to a place where you could talk quietly. The green-eyed, despite having a bit more alcohol in his system than he should, knew he messed up and needed to fix it somehow.

"Y/N, please be honest: what were you talking about?" Leclerc asked with a concerned expression on his face for the scene he had caused.

"About what we could do in Monaco, here, next week, alright?" you responded, trying to reassure him. "You don't have to worry about anything"

"But why are you talking to him about racing?" the Monegasque insisted again, trying to calm his tone of jealousy. "I don't understand why you have to make plans with other drivers when you're my girlfriend."

"Charles, come on, don't be jealous!" you scolded with a playful smile. "Besides, what we were planning was a surprise party in your honor because, in case you don't remember, you just won your first home race ever. I don't think that's anything bad."

Charles felt really stupid at that moment.

"Are you jealous, my dearest friend?" Lando decided to intervene, who had been attentive the whole time to the intimate scene between the couple.

"What? No!" Leclerc replied as calmly as possible, his attempt in vain.

this was out of your comfort zone.

you sat in a plush chair across from a woman who was currently fiddling with the microphones. your husband izuku had done an interview with a popular podcast about a month ago. it wasn’t only popular because he was the number one hero. there was a charm to the episode that others couldn’t fake. the way he talked about you as if you showed him colors for the first time. everyone loved it.

now people really wanted to get into the lives of the midoryia’s, which included you. about a week ago you had gotten an offer to be on another podcast. you made sure to check out some of her work before you leaped into it.

the host's name was aiya, and she was absolutely amazing. not only were you laughing with the one episode you did listen to, but so did izuku since he was kind enough to watch with you.

"are you ready mrs. midoryia?" aiya asked going to put on the headphones. taking your own set of headphones, you placed them on as well.

"i am! plus you can just call me y/n. i really don't mind"

"thanks for letting me know," she clicked a button on her computer which started the camera up "hello everyone! it's aiya here! on this special episode we have the wonderful, and very lovely y/n midoryia in the building"

both you and aiya laughed at your statement.

Kinda off topic, but do you think that people forget that F1 is BOTH a drivers championship and constructors? People complain that certain drivers are washed and if they had a different car they wouldn’t be as successful. I saw Zak Brown (I hate him sm, I don’t even have a valid reason I just do LOL) say how Max is great but he wouldn’t win championships without RedBull dominance. But isn’t that the point? Almost every championship was won by a championship level car. That’s how dominance happens BECAUSE it’s whichever team is the best at the regulations. It’s literally why FIA always changes the regulations, people expect we’ll see a drivers true form when they are in a different car. Also he said how Lando would match Max in a straight fight and… I’m sorry to say but their grids when they began were two different worlds. I respect Lando as a driver and person (I did question his comment on the Orange but it is whatever, no one knows if it was for PR or out of his own mouth) but we have literal past champions and experts talking about the driver’s expertise. I’ll admit the car is a huge play (maybe like 70%) but the driver is who makes the difference. A good example is Lewis. I love him but everyone knows Mercedes downfall. He showed how much the car plays a role but also how good the driver has to be. We’ve seen him in China sprint be able to get second place because of good setup from the team and because he was able to make that difference. You can argue for many drivers such as Seb, Kimi, hell maybe add Max when he didn’t have the best car on the grid, they all won races even without the best car. Even if those wins were through safety cars or just plain strategy, which is something some teams really struggle in. McLauren happened to be the best car in Miami and had a good start (dare I say luck too) but you can also see from the other teams that everyone was struggling. No one improved their times Q3, a lot of complaints about the cars not being right. This is turning into a Zak Brown hate speech now but I think it’s important that he realizes for Lando to matchup with top drivers like Max or Lewis he needs consistency. Something that drivers such as Charles is good at. He’s still young and he has time but currently? He doesn’t stand a chance in equal machinery, different from what Zak previously stated.

Sorry for my rant!! I went off topic myself but I just think a lot of people in the media (cough twitter) forget how many teams care about the constructors championship more than the driver’s one. No one is a car merchant because there is no way you can make the car’s equal in all fields. Even if the driver isn’t the most important bit their expertise is what makes the difference!

morning anon! ohhh, great question - but i'm afraid it's going to have to be a no, for various reasons. firstly because, well, i simply don't know enough about rugby or about the team... my mum might be a big rugby fan but i'm not, really. i only ever watch 2 or 3 matches once every four years for the world cup 🥲

secondly, even if i did know more about rugby, i would still have to say no because my writer's block is currently so bad that it's even extending to my PhD. (🤣😭) in all seriousness though, i can't write anything of quality at the moment, and the second i do get my writing mojo back, i have a whole list of f1 rpf fics that i need and want to get to.

ORV or Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint is a Korean webnovel written by Sing n Song, about a guy whose world suddenly turns into his most favorite webnovel. He's also the only reader who finishes the whole thing (because it's so long.) So we will be seeing how he navigates through the world where he is the only one who knows what will happen, along with the characters in said novels and more :]

But that's just the beginning!!! It has everything and i mean everything. Oh my god where do I even begin.

It also has a webcomic adaptation on Webtoon under the name Omniscient Reader! That's how I got into it at first. From what I've seen it's pretty straight on adaptation! some parts were cut due to the mediums' differences and limitations etc. but they're good! (but the novel oh you have to read the novel-)

I'm sure other people can tell you about this novel far better than I do, but that's the gist of it! It's so long but it's so so worth it i promise I couldn't stop reading it like-

bah, a fave djo song is so hard... i'd be curious to know what everyone's is. but i was in the middle of answering this yday and i said atm it's gloom but then figure you out came on shuffle and i think it's that actually! which is funny cuz neither of these are my fave song from decide lol. the bass is soooo good, and i love the lead up to the chorus and how it just. pulls back!! it's just really cut n dry compared to some of his other songs, but the outro still sounds MWAH so ROBUST, so catchy. and ya the vocals.... one of my favourites on this album. hehe.

if i had total control (heh) over a music video for figure you out... idk i'd definitely stick to the goofy personal injury lawyer shtick he had going for the album promo! technology n social media are recurring things that pop up, so i think it'd be cool to do something with mundane 80s/90s tech terrorizing people. maybe some stop motion with like, a photocopier printing frame after frame. or a fax machine acting as a magic 8ball that spits out increasingly specific/ obtuse answers. but ya :')

☆ - happy headcanon - I feel like one of Maxwell's happiest moments was when someone finally recognised that she was a computational prodigy and not just some girl who was good at maths. For her to get into MIT young enough to graduate from there at 19, I feel like someone probably took her under their wing to encourage her to apply: maybe a teacher who knew just enough about computers to see Maxwell was exceptional, or maybe a computer scientist who'd she contacted to ask questions about a theory she'd been developing. Having an adult really see her and her potential probably meant a lot given her not good family situation. (more below the cut)

☮️ - friendship headcanon - If Maxwell does indeed "build pretty awesome battle drones on the weekends", I think she definitely got Jacobi - and his 'things that break other things' skills - involved in that. Together they got disqualified from multiple competitions/races for blowing up the other drones with not-technically-legal explosives.

☯️ - likes/dislikes headcanon - I don't have the technical knowledge to develop this headcanon properly, but I feel like Maxwell has extremely strong opinions about different coding languages. She will talk for hours to explain why she loves a particular coding language and why anyone who uses [coding language x] is a fool and her mortal enemy.

Omg hi!!!! First of all thank you for shooting me an ask, that's so exciting!!

Second of all I'm literally so full of Bo headcanons I could go on forever, the level of brainrot I'm on w/her is frankly embarrassing lmao. I'll list a few and if you're interested in more I'd be happy to share more! Anywhoo... some HCs:

— Sorry, kicking off with a dark one, I think the event that split her and Satine's ideologies was a scenario in which, as kids, they got cornered during an attack on their home and had to either shoot the assailant or probably die themselves, Satine couldn't pull the trigger but Bo did. Taking a life at like 6 or 7 even in self defense obviously highkey f*cked her up, and I also feel like their relationship never recovered for many reasons from this point (Satine is scared of Bo's lack of hesitation to kill, Bo is pissed that Satine was (in her mind) too weak to protect them etc etc)

— I feel like this was not too long before Satine was taken into protection by the jedi— at the same time Bo was sent back to the Kryze stronghold on Kalevala for her safety, under the care of the group of Protectors that served as the family's personal guard. Spending a year or two of her childhood living and hanging out exclusively with a bunch of soldiers definitely contributed to her interest in combat/warfare/weaponry.

— She never really adjusted to life after the war and always felt alien and like an outsider compared to her sister who was the savior/always in the spotlight/etc. despite (as she increasingly came to believe) not being a worthy leader. I feel like she never really thrived during her teen years and spent way too much time alone stewing in depression (god sorry didn't realize so many of my HCs are sad lmao)

— She met Pre Vizsla like ~5-6 years before the start of TCW, they instantly hit it off. She starts visiting him on Concordia and he makes time for her whenever he's on-world in Sundari. It starts out surface level but it doesn't take long for them to figure out that they share a lot of uh controversial/extreme beliefs too. Things snowball from there, radical echo chamber ensues etc etc

— I feel like he'd already been putting together the pieces of reviving Death Watch for a few years, but once they joined together as co conspirators, she played no small part in getting it off the ground and growing it into a full-scale movement.

—Bo feels it's her ultimate duty to restore honor to the Kryze name as a warrior clan. She has mixed feelings about her parents, mostly her dad— she barely knew them, they died tragically in the war, the few memories she has are good, but at the same time (in her mind) they were also traitors for turning on tradition and spearheading pacifism.
