Donnie for sure the second youngest but I don’t think he probably thinks of Leo as older practically. They’re probably only a few months apart at most and I don’t think Donnie would consider that developmentally significant enough to see Leo as a big brother like he does Raph. Leo on the other hand, absolutely views Donnie as a bratty little brother. Basically they’re not twins but still do the twin thing when someone asks who’s older.

its honestly why i usually like to make their twinship a compromise for donnie's sake. he doesn't really accept the idea of there being a power dynamic between them with their ages (even though there kind of is? raph and leo are in their own little camp separate from donnie and mikey, it's pretty clear by the way raph puts so much pressure on leo in particular) and i usually dont have him bring it up much it at all unless he's thinking more about mikey because i think them having solidarity over having to deal with their older brother bullshit is true and like. genuinely kind of canon? they're so fed up with them LOL

like ngl i actually care so much about second youngest donnie BECAUSE of his relationship with mikey. b team is my favorite thing in the world

(also yes absolutely no matter how small the gap is to me, leo will use EVERY opportunity to hold it over donnie's head. i mean i think episodes like lair games make that clear. when he grabbed donnie's vambrace and held it out of reach in smart lair too LMFAO... genuine bastard older brother behavior)

tbh an important part of my take on the 'don't be like Sentinel' question is that hours earlier D16 had very decidedly assumed leadership of the High Guard, after which any attempt at resolving his very understandable personal trauma via murder was also, on a wider affects-everyone/your-new-power-means-something scale, inherently going to count as a military coup.

I hope the protoframes remain relevant even after this story arc for the Drifter concludes, but I also recognize how complicated things would get with how many characters they could keep trying to make stay relevant, leading to a Konoha 13 Naruto type situation where we have too many relevant characters from Umbra & Ordis all the way to Kaya Velasco.

Reading people's thoughts on the marble hornets comics after they were first released is so interesting. A lot of people mad that Tim wasn't the main character (an opinion I was expecting), a lot of people mad that the message of Marble Hornets wasn't actually "if you have serious mental health issues you are a burden on everyone around you and the best thing to do for everyone involved is kill yourself", a lot of people not understanding that Alex's idea to off anyone who had any tangential relation to the Operator was actually a bad and not well thought out plan (I think it's very interesting that the comic demonstrates this though a character who is a doctor. Not only because of the surface reading that she will be interacting with multiple people a day and therefore there is no way of knowing if she's spread it to anyone but also because Skully describes the Operator as a contagious illness). It's really makes you think.

straight out from under the machine, but the hem came out! exactly how i wanted!!!!!!!

traditional coat linings are looser than the outside to allow for movement and to avoid pulling on the outside of the garment, and i was really trying to achieve that ease with this. the thing that made it hard(er than a regular coat) was that my hem is circular, so i couldnt just do it the common way- having the lining be shorter and folding up the outside to form the inside hem.

instead, i made a facing that matched the curve of the hem (i actually made it with the off cut from shortening the hem- the seams don't line up, but that was an intentional choice to reduce bulk at those points) sewed that onto my hem edge, understitched and thoroughly steamed it into its final place before measuring the lining to match. technically this is the wrong order of operations (really, the facing should be sewn to the lining, and then all joined to the outside at once) but this was the easier way to do things with this particular project, even if it means some jumping about and handsewing in the end.

i gave my lining enough time to do its bias stretchy thing well in advance, so to set the length i just evenly folded it up a set distance from the edge of the coat, pinned that, and then marked a line 2cm further in to the edge to overlock at. i sewed it to the facing with a 1cm seam allowance, so when its turned through, it rolls over onto itself as its a little longer than the stitch point!

its not as neat as my perfectionist self would like, but i accepted a while back in this project that this lining fabric is simply not going to allow that. it shifts and stretches and is generally a nightmare to get it to sit where you want, but god. the effect is entirely worth it.

i still need to handsew the corners where the lining meets the front facing, and im not confident the facing it going to stay up without some external stitching (ive been trying to avoid that, i may do some hand tacks so its invisible!) but other than that, its done! the only question now is, do i press it? do i put a crease into my roll over? if it was straight i probably would, but once again, the curve complicates things

Hi! I am asking for Webtoon Recommendations, anything for romance specifically, and nothing that’s gonna end soon! Thanks in advance!

After School Lessons for Unripe Apples- the protagonist Mi-ae is beyond adorable and fun, and her relationship with Cheol is surprisingly layered. It's a lot of shenanigans and it takes a long time for pivotal conversations/moments to take place, but overall journey is worth it. Plus, the episodes are longer than the average webtoon's.

Operation: True Love- The story's pretty basic, but the characters are the best part. Soo-ae is a personable main character, if a teensy bit dense, and the two boys that grow to eventually have a crush on her are pretty fun to follow. There are pretty high stakes involved, but it's easy to forget since it mostly focuses on highschool drama.

Yeahhhh I don't read a lot where romance is the main genre so here's two 😂
