She was supposedly the one person to show him "kindness" at his post. She was a walking data-bank who deleted him from her memory so she could learn a dark ritual to reproduce stolen suns, but she also remembers the regret she felt when she erased him from her mind.

love the hair headcanons for mad scientist wei wuxian. i can only imagine the horrors when someone lan wangji tries to bath him and the water turns black and red from ink and blood in his hair. also mm lan wangji seeing wei wuxian hunched over a desk scribbling notes. seeing his hair down and that somehow ended up in some of his ink and lovingly putting his hair into a ponytail

The inherent romanticism of treating someone's hair will never not be something I'm obsessed with. It's gorgeous, it's tender, it's intimate. I really wish I could talk more about the different scenarios I see haircare coming into play romantically, but it would be JUMPING AHEAD IN THE TIMELINE!!!! UGH!! We'll get there eventually though. The idea of someone dumping Wei Wuxian into a bath while being like "this'll be quick, I promise," (He's like a cat in this AU, because I just think it's funny if he's against water when in canon he could spend all of his time in it.) is fantastic to me, though.

They manage to wrangle him into the water and then there's just a moment of peace until his hair touches it. The ink and blood that starts permeating the water is like watching the bloodbath of a scholar in real time. Plus, there's the first attempt at shifting their fingers through said hair that just leads to them getting very trapped to the point where it takes a few moments of gentle tugging to get them back out. Their words echo through their mind in irony now, because there is no way that this will be even remotely 'quick' with the amount of grime appearing from a precursory dip of his hair.
