Just thinking about Breha and Fox in all the au's that happen after order 66...and them bonding over their near-death experiences. Like how morbid of a connection is that, looking at each other and knowing that the other one knows the same thing that you know, the feeling of your body breaking and realising that you were going to die, that you were guarateed to die, and then having parts of your body replaced in order for you to keep living?

the sheer audacity of blackout poetry is so funny to me that i can almost never take it seriously but i also kind of love that about it. it’s like the opposite of quoting someone. you could have written your own sentence but instead you ripped out pieces of mine. even if the message remains the same it feels like disagreement. “see, you didn’t need to write so many words. look how many i got rid of and it still makes sense.” oh yeah well if you know so much about words why don’t you use your own, asshole

One of many things I love about Echo is how he quite literally echoes his brothers.
- “Live to fight another day”
- His speech on Tantiss, echoing Fives’ speech to the cadets on Kamino.
- “Yeah, just like old times” just like Fives told Rex.
Etcetera.
Echo is the remaining representation of so many of his brothers, he keeps memories of his old brothers, new ones, his sisters, deserters, self-sacrificers, leaders, defectives, ARC Troopers, and over time he has become an amalgamation of all of them.
All the clone’s memories live in Echo.
“Ni su'cuyi, gar kyr'adyc, ni partayli gar darasuum”
“I am alive, you are dead, I will remember you, so you are eternal”
Echo is the echoes of his siblings.

I cannot believe it didn't dawn on me before...
When Clone Force 99 is first introduced, they save Echo from imprisonment and experimentation on Skako Minor.
In the Bad Batch series finale, Echo saves Clone Force 99 (or what remains of it 💔) from imprisonment and experimentation on Tantiss.
The cavalry first saved Echo; now, he's saving the cavalry.
(If we want to take it one step further: in the series premiere, the cavalry returns to Kamino to save Omega. Now, in the series finale, Omega helps save them.)
Also, I find it rather poetic that, after years of Clone Force 99 being rejected and shunned by the regs, it's regs who agree to help free them from Tantiss.

Love Enduring
What is grief but love enduring
I loved you with my whole being
And still my heart you are stirring
Though now you are beyond seeing
No longer can I wrap you up
In a tender and warm embrace
Or break bread together and sup
With your bright smile on your face
I cannot kiss your rosy cheeks
Or see your eyes crinkle in glee
My empty hand for yours does seek
So my gloomiest thoughts will flee
Memories of you I have carved
Into my heart on sacred stone
But my soul is fed and not starved
Because my love is like seeds sown
My tears water the wound that holds
The vestiges of you in me
Safely in my love I enfold
My eternal symbol to thee
My grief for you will never cease
But neither will my steadfast love
Your memory will bring me peace
You nest in my heart like a dove

There's something so wholesome about the fact that Mario told Princess Peach– a beautiful, beloved protector– Luigi's name long before his own, while Luigi told Bowser– a terrifying, threatening tyrant– his own name with little provocation while Mario's had to be violently forced out of him.
Like, they really do be putting each other first, even in the subtlest of ways.
