i know everybody's talking about how needles and ink5oul would be besties but i think they would also get along with jane prentiss

when pre-worm jane was in her witchy era she went to ink5oul to get tattoos and would gossip with needles in the studio and they instantly welcomed her to the friend group

after getting wormed jane teaches needles how to actually be scary since she's way better at it

ink5oul practices tattooing on the worms and jane's all like "omg look they love it!" and the worms are just like o-o

jane is like the preppy white girl, needles is the gay best friend and ink5oul is the weirdo introvert they adopted (it may be ooc but do i look like i fucking care i just want more mag fluff)

i'm actually obsessed with this idea now, if anyone wants to ramble with me about it lmk

i have a headcanon that elias is like, very literally the beating heart of the institute. like, he can feel things going on, is more place than person, etc. and i just wanted you to think about that in the context of parasight & jane worming it up in the walls

OHMYGOD. ok i am never going to stop thinking about this. holy shit. this is amazing. you have just rewired my brain chemistry. i am going to be so normal about this. no wonder he was so hesitant to do anything about that too soon. like he essentially got the same experience as the people that got wormed, it just left no physical marks on his body. and idk mayyybe he enjoyed it a bit. perchance.

anyways that also makes me think like. everything else that happened to the institute. like when martin started burning statements, did that feel like someone was burning something inside of him?? damn. not fun. also if the tunnels are a blind spot for the eye, then i bet someone entering the panopticon feels like a sudden sharp pain in your chest that wasn't there before. the type of pain that makes you go "oh shit, am i about to die?"

overall, absolutely massive brain concept, will be thinking about this forever now, thank you so much for sharing your wisdom.

Thinking about Martin feeling this sense of overwhelming, sickening guilt following S1 every time he looks at Jon, and every time he sees the scabbing-over pits of angry skin and scar tissue from the worms, and knows that he’ll have those forever. Jon will have those scars forever, and maybe, just maybe, if he hadn’t lost him back there, running away from Prentiss, that he could’ve protected him.

But he did lose him, and one second he was there, and the next Martin was alone, and now every time he sees Jon pick absently at one of the healing scabs, or take a pain pill, he can’t shake the feeling that this falls onto him.

i am about to fall asleep its time to post vaguely soft janelias headcanons on main

sometimes jane completely loses her ability to talk because of the effects of the corruption. it doesn't matter, because jonah always knows what she wants to say anyways.

they both like that sharp crackle sound of the fear entities. it's like white noise to them. they fall asleep to that sound.

jonah used to hate things like bugs and mold and dirt. now he just sees it and goes "i bet jane would love this" instead.

jonah plays the violin. jane listens. sometimes she figures out the patterns of the melodies, and starts humming along.

when they cuddle, it's mostly very gentle, subtle. like they just happen to be close right now, so they might as well wrap around each other.
