He’s Got The Fire
Tumblr media
[Johnny Lawrence x Female!Reader]
Synopsis: To your surprise, Johnny shows up at your window unannounced, but it doesn’t take long to realize it’s not for kicks {GIF Creds: pilvimarja}.
WC: 2076
Category: Slight Hurt/Comfort, Slight Fluff, Introverted(ish)!Reader
Honestly, I’m surprised I haven’t started writing this franchise earlier given how it’s about equal with my love for BTTF
『••✎••』
The sun had already gone down a while ago, the air was crisp, and the sky was starry. It was the perfect evening to watch the moon rise. The wind carried a chill, and the trees were almost bare, swaying in the breeze.
With a sigh, you closed the book you had been reading and stretched your legs, looking out the window of your room. By now, everyone had been asleep for a few hours, and you worked on upcoming assignments to pass the time. But when you had gotten to your last one, you just couldn't be bothered anymore, so you set it aside.
The quietness was nice, and the light from the moon cast a blue-ish glow on everything around you. You were so calm, but there was still something that had you feeling off.
Johnny.
He was never around much lately. It wasn't surprising, but it was disheartening. Ever since that championship loss a while back, he had been training even harder, and when he wasn't training, he was out doing god-knows-what.
You understood how important Cobra Kai was to him, but the fact that he was putting everything else on the back burner really had you worried. He had a tendency to go down the wrong path and not think about the consequences until after the fact. You hoped that wasn't what was happening this time.
Pulling your knees up, you rested your head on them and looked out at the night. There was a full moon, and you wondered if Johnny had noticed. He used to love taking walks at night just to see the moon and look up at the stars.
He had changed so much since then. That fire inside of him burned so brightly that sometimes you wondered if it would burn him, too.
Sitting like that for a while, you lost track of time. It was easy to get distracted and drift away from reality when your mind wandered. It was something you were trying to work on, and you were actually doing pretty well.
Until you heard a pang on your window.
Sitting up, you looked around, wondering if a bird had flown into it, but you saw nothing. Your mind immediately went to a branch falling or something like that, and you were ready to dismiss the strange noise and go back to daydreaming.
But the pang came again, and your heart leaped in your throat. You stood and cautiously moved toward the window. At the same time, a face popped up from below, and you shrieked.
He motioned for you to open the window, along with attempts to hush you. It was a very frantic gesture, and you felt your heart rate rise. You quickly opened the window and stuck your head out.
"Johnny?!" You whispered-yelled, and he was pulling himself up. "What are you doing?"
"Shhh!" He held a finger to his lips and looked behind him, and your eyebrows furrowed.
"Johnny-"
"Do you want the whole neighborhood to know I'm here? Let me in!"
You stared at him for a moment longer before helping him through the window. It didn’t go as smoothly as one would expect, like the movies, but he managed to tumble in. You stood there, arms folded, as he dusted himself off.
You haven’t seen him in so long, and the day you choose to miss him, he shows up out of nowhere. You would’ve called yourself psychic if it weren’t for the fact that Johnny always did the unexpected.
He looked… good, to say the least. The red jacket still fit him perfectly; his blonde hair was combed and fluffy, and his eyes were still focused and alert, even if his body language seemed a little sluggish.
To be honest, Johnny was the most beautiful person you had ever laid eyes on. His sharp jawline, his toned muscles, and that cocky smile of his. The way his eyes crinkled when he laughed and the way he always looked at you like you were the only girl in the world.
For a while, you didn’t understand why he chose to pursue you, of all people. He could have anyone he wanted. You weren't exactly a social butterfly, and you always got nervous and shy in the presence of others.
Johnny was the opposite of you. He was outgoing, and his charisma attracted everyone to him. And the way his voice was so smooth and deep. He could be the most annoying person on the planet, but when he said your name, you would melt.
So when he asked you out, you thought it was some sort of joke. I mean, he was the hottest guy in school. And you were just… you.
But then you realized there was more to him than just the bad boy exterior. He had a sensitive side, and his vulnerability was endearing. His family was… well, a lot. His mom was nice, but she had her fair share of issues, and his stepfather was a piece of work.
It only took one date to realize the Johnny you were accustomed to wasn’t the real him. The real him was like you… except he could kick ass and had some pent-up anger issues.
And yet, here you were.
"Johnny-" You began, but he stepped toward you and wrapped his arms around you, resting his chin on the top of your head. You stood stiffly, arms at your sides.
"God, I've missed you."
That was the last thing you expected him to say. You felt your face heat up, your chest warm up, and your shoulders slumped. You melted into his embrace, wrapping your arms around him.
"I've missed you too."
You could feel him grin against the top of your head, and he squeezed you a little tighter. He was so warm, and it made you forget the fact that he was literally climbing through your window at almost midnight.
After a minute or so, he pulled away and held your face in his hands. You were looking into those piercing blue eyes, and you could feel butterflies in your stomach.
"Why are you here?" You asked, your voice a little above a whisper.
He hesitated, and that was the moment you knew something was wrong. He sighed and ran a hand through his hair.
"I, uh… I needed to see you."
You raised an eyebrow, but you didn't say anything. You were waiting for him to elaborate, but when he didn't, you sighed and grabbed his wrist, pulling him towards the bed. You sat on the edge, and he followed.
"Johnny," You said, turning toward him and placing a hand on his knee. "Talk to me. What's going on?"
"Nothing, I just… wanted to see you."
You didn't say anything. You knew better than that. So you waited.
"Okay, okay," He sighed. "Look, I'm not gonna lie to you, but I can’t tell you why."
"That's reassuring."
"It's just… things are… well, I just needed to get away. It's nothing, I'm fine, don't worry."
You were silent. You didn't really know what to say. There was so much going on, and it was hard for you to believe him when he told you not to worry.
"Is it… Is it Sid? Your mom?"
"Just…” He shook his head and stood, rubbing the back of his neck. He started pacing, and that was when you knew he was really upset. “Just drop it, alright? Everything's fine."
“You ignored me for the past two weeks, Johnny. Something is wrong."
He stopped and glared at you, and you froze. You were taken aback by the expression on his face. He seemed frustrated and almost angry.
The look… you knew it wasn’t directed at you, but you couldn't help but feel a little intimidated. He was always so hot-headed and stubborn, and when his mood shifted, you had a hard time knowing what to do.
He seemed to realize his expression and looked away, rubbing the back of his neck with a sigh.
"Sorry, God, I'm sorry, it's not you. I'm just-" He sighed and plopped back down on the bed next to you, running his hands over his face. "I'm a fucking mess, okay? Just forget I came."
It was weird how, in certain situations, you could completely shift into a different person. You’ve seen it in movies and TV, and it was a cliche. You didn’t think it would ever happen to you.
And yet, the second you heard the words come out of his mouth, you were hit with an overwhelming urge to turn his head towards yours, grab his face in your hands, and kiss him.
So you did.
You couldn’t really tell him why you did it. It just felt like the right thing to do, and it was an impulse. You figured it was the best way to let him know that you were here and he wasn’t alone.
The second your lips met, he was leaning into you, grabbing your waist and pulling you closer. You could feel the passion and desperation behind the kiss, and it took you a moment to match his energy.
He was rough and intense, and he pulled away after a few moments, moving to your neck. You gasped and gripped the collar of his jacket, feeling the heat of his lips on your skin.
Absence makes the heart grow fonder, they say. And it was true. You had missed him more than you had thought. You had almost forgotten how much of a force he was to be reckoned with.
You let out a shaky breath, trying to form words, but failing. Instead, you tugged on his jacket and pulled him towards you, hoping he would get the message.
And he did.
His lips found yours again, and he was pushing you back, holding himself above you with one hand. His other was moving up your shirt, his fingers grazing your stomach, causing goosebumps to rise.
Your breath hitched in your throat as his fingers danced across your ribs. His lips were rough, but they moved with such grace and delicacy it was hard to keep up.
He pulled away for a moment, and you looked up at him, catching your breath. His blonde hair was messy, and his eyes were a little hooded. He looked like a mess, but you couldn't find it in yourself to care.
You reached up and brushed his hair back, giving him a soft smile.
“Is that…” His eyes peered away from you, and you raised an eyebrow. "Do you still have that damn elephant?"
Your eyes followed his, and you spotted the elephant in question. It was a gift Johnny had given you back when things were different. Come to think of it, you weren’t even sure you were together at that point.
"Why wouldn't I?" You asked, and he chuckled. “Ozzy's special."
"You named it? What are you, ten?"
You swatted his arm, and he laughed again. His eyes found yours, and you couldn’t help but smile at him. It felt like old times.
"Don't make fun of him. You gave him to me."
"Yeah, whatever," He rolled his eyes, but his smile remained. "Can't believe you kept him."
"I keep a lot of stuff, Johnny. Especially when they're meaningful."
He was silent for a moment, his eyes still focused on you. The moonlight was shining through the window and casting a shadow on his face.
"I keep a lot of things, too."
Before you could say anything, he was leaning down and kissing you again. You could tell this one was different, more meaningful, like he was pouring his heart and soul into the kiss.
And he was.
He wanted you to know how he felt about you without actually saying it. And although you weren’t really sure what was going on, you had a feeling this was what it was.
The fire inside of him was burning again, but finally, after so long, he realized that he needed to take a breather every now and then. Add some water to the flames.
It was a delicate balance. And although he may be bad at showing his feelings, talking about them, or acknowledging them, you were there to make sure he didn't lose himself in the heat.
And maybe, just maybe, the flame was a little more subdued, and the burn a little less harsh.

in which johnny lawrence is in second place to daniel larusso yet again, but we all know boys don’t cry.
g/n reader x johnny lawrence / g/n reader x daniel larusso (he’s lowkey the villan in this lmfao—)
warnings: fighting, swearing, insecurity, toxic masculinity, emotional abuse in the household. ⚠️ANGST NO FLUFF HERE⚠️
based on the song boys don’t cry by the cure , thank you to spence ml @mictodii for the inspo <3
Tumblr media
i would say i’m sorry if i knew that it would change your mind
verbal communication was not johnny lawrence’s strong suit. he tended to be a more action oriented human being. especially when he started bullying daniel larusso, soon after he first arrived in receda. all it took was one black eye to develop around daniels eye, for you to break things off with johnny.
it had only been 2 weeks since he had moved to receda but more fights had arose between you and johnny than you had ever had in your 9 and a half months of dating.
“i’m not dating a bully.” you told him forcefully, your y/c iris’ full of disappointment and animosity, were now trying to dig away at the guilt and hurt in his own.
but i know that this time i’ve said too much been too unkind.
“well it’s not my fucking fault that larusso always gets what he fucking wants! i have nothing left, so if your going to leave me for him that’s fucking fine with me i wouldn’t expect any less! just another brick in the fucking wall.” he spat, now making full eye-contact with you.
johnny immediately knew that he had fucked up but it was too late, your eyes once full of disappointment were now doused in confusion as you didn’t even know who you were talking to at this point. as you bit the inside of your cheek, you turned around and walked the other way not wanting to say another word to johnny as you ventured home.
the moon didn’t shine that night. nor did the stars. the plethora of clouds had made it hardly visible to view the only thing you could count on one hundred percent of the time.
i try to laugh about it , cover it all up with lies.i tried to laugh about it hiding the tears in my eyes.
the next day at school you didn’t look, nor speak to johnny lawrence. he gazed at you from across the halls and lunchroom but it didn’t fix anything.
“johnny what happened between you and y/n?” bobby asked, as he had noticed you hadn’t even acknowledged johnny. johnny laughed bitterly.
“nothing man, we’ve just been off lately, nothing major.” he told the blonde boy as he looked at you, a bright smile on your face as none other than daniel larusso was talking you. joking with you. making you laugh.
cause boys don’t cry, boys don’t cry.
johnny glared at the brunette, trying not to let tears form in his eyes.
i would break at your feet and beg for forgiveness, plead with you but i know that it’s too late and there’s nothing i can do.
johnny had came up with a plan to get you back and apologize. he had bought you your favorite flower and was going to surprise you. he even wrote out a thorough thought out apology in hopes that you would forgive him and he could get you back.
soon enough, every fiber in johnny was inflamed with resentment and anger. daniel larusso had his arm wrapped around your shoulder. he was kissing your cheek. and he was complimenting you.
so i tried to laugh about it, cover it all up with lies, i tried to laugh about it cover the tears in my eyes.
that night bobby had called johnny to see how it went.
“so johnny did you get the girl back?” he asked him. johnny chuckled.
“nah man it’s funny cause she wasn’t home. her mom said she was out with her friends so..yeah.” he lied straight through his teeth. the moments of you and daniel playing in your head again. tears soon began to spill uncontrollably.
“woah johnny man, are you crying? hey it’s okay man.” bobby tried to console once again over the phone. soon enough sid, johnny stepfather came up the stairs.
“boy would you quit that racket?! and stop crying like a little girl, cause boys dont cry! you hear me? boys don’t cry!”
i would tell you that i loved you if i knew that it would make you stay but i know that it’s no use and that you’ve already gone away.
johnny knew it from the day he met you, he loved you. he was just waiting for the right time to say it. however he never got to. daniel had taken you from him faster than a blink of an eye. it was too late. he wasn’t getting you back and he knew it. what was the point?
misjudged your limit, pushed you too far, took you for granted, thought that you needed me more.
johnny didn’t know when enough was enough. so when you broke up with him, he was distraught. he never really understood what he was missing till you were gone and far far from his reach and in daniels now. johnny truth be told couldn’t live without you, and unfortunately he had to find that out the hard way.
now i would do most anything to get you back by my side
johnny tried, and tried to get you to talk to him, and hear him out. but there was no use. you were happier with daniel. and he knew that and understood he had to come to terms with it as well. even if it was going to be hard. he valued your happiness over everything and if that happiness came from someone that wasn’t it, then so be it.
but i just keep on laughing, hiding the tears in my eyes
on the surface johnny seemed okay. he seemed as if he had moved on. sensei kreese had taught him to channel all his grief and anger into karate and cobra kai but within every laugh was hidden tears. because we all know. boys don’t cry.
fin.

Me, before watching Cobra Kai: I swear, I hate this show so much. Why everytime I want to see a video in Youtube I have to see in the Ads the trailer of a new season of Cobra Kai? They're too annoying. I refuse to watch this show.
Me, after watching Cobra Kai: Lawrusso is now my favorite thing ever. I love you Sam, even if some people hate you. Johnny Chozen and Mike are the best. Johnny Chozen and Mike are the best. Johnny Chozen and Mike are the- Fellas is it normal if the rivals in this show look like lovers instead of rivals(cofcofLawrussocofcof) or have sexual tension (cofcofSamtorycofcof)??? WHY THERE IS SO MUCH CHEMISTRY BETWEEN CHARACTERS OF THE SAME SEX???? Kreese and Terry should kiss. There is so much angst in this show. But I kinda like it heeeelp

Lawrusso AU, where Daniel and Johnny broke up. However, this posed a problem, as one year ago, the couple had booked and planned a trip abroad together, and that was unavailable to change now. They would have to both travel together — same flight, same hotel, same destination — in spite of the recent breakup.
///
Tumblr media
Johnny and Daniel had been together for five years when they decided to plan a romantic European trip during the summer. Planning for a romantic getaway a year in advance, they dedicated every month paying for the plane tickets, booking hotel rooms, and researching tourist attractions—all while being in a very happy relationship.
Fast-forward a year, and the couple had separated. Neither Daniel nor Johnny wanted to break up - but their relationship had just run its course. Daniel was heartbroken, while Johnny just seemed ready to move on, trying to pretend like nothing was wrong.
The air was stifling as Johnny and Daniel trudged through the airport and to their shared gate. A year ago, they would have been talking and laughing as they excitedly made their way to the same destination of their getaway trip. But now, there was nothing but an uncomfortable silence between them as memories of their now broken relationship was all that seemed to linger in the air.
After a tense check-in process, they settled into their seats on the plane. Everything felt so surreal to Johnny as he looked around at the airplane and contrasted it to what he was feeling inside.
When they arrived at their destination, though, the tension only seemed to increase. Each of them were too stubborn to bow to one another and make necessary arrangements, so they were left to book the same hotel they had planned for before. This was something that neither of them wanted to do, but they had no other option.
The first two days were uncomfortable, full of silence and avoidance of each other. They both pretended that the other wasn't there and tried to make the best of the situation, enjoying the activities that they had chosen to do separately.
The nights were the worst - lying in the same bed each night, feeling the uncomfortable tension of their broken relationship.
Johnny had had enough of the awkward silence on the third day and suggested that they take a boat out to the nearby island, something that had been on their agenda before the trip had been booked. Daniel wasn't sure that was a good idea, but he was feeling lonely enough that he agreed.
On the island, they talked a little about what had gone wrong between them, mostly focusing on their own individual faults. Johnny and Daniel realized how much had made them good together, and by the end of the day, both were laughing and enjoying spending time together in the way that they used to.
Deep inside, Daniel felt a new spark of hope. Even the worst turmoil could be leavened with a little peace.
Maybe, he thought and dared to whisper, the shared adventure of new places could help them heal and reignite the flame.

the greatest gift of all
for @dull-c @cksecretsanta23
summary: it's johnny's first christmas with robby and he's determined to make it okay. he ends up at daniel's house for christmas.
A/N: this was so fun to write and i'm very excited for you to read this! apologies it took a little longer than expected and was slightly rushed, but nonetheless, merry christmas and happy holidays!
Tumblr media
Johnny Lawrence didn’t know what to expect. It was his first Christmas with Robby - finally after all of these years - and all he wanted was to not screw it up. He was notorious for ruining everything in his life, so why would Christmas be the exception? He needed this to go over okay. After the last tournament, they had been better. Good, even. Part of that he attributed to Daniel and his good influence - even as hard as that was to admit. Johnny knew the mistakes he made and the irreversible damage they caused, but he was determined to fix it. Bandaids don't fix bullet holes after all.
Everything was set up to be good, mediocre in the least. Until his power went out, he cursed out the tenant upstairs, almost got into a fight, and burnt the only edible food he had in his kitchen. Breathe in, breathe out, assess the damages. There was a method to his madness, as difficult as it was to see what that method was. He glanced at his watch. There were only 20 minutes until Robby was supposed to be over and there was no way he could host anymore. Hell, even the skinny tree in the corner was falling apart and had no lights to cover it up with.
And that’s how Johnny Lawrence and his son ended up on Daniel LaRusso’s doorstep on Christmas night.
“Come on in, John. Hey Robby, how are you?” Daniel greeted them as he opened the front door and led them inside.
“Thanks for having us, Mr. LaRusso,” Robby answered and shook his hand. Johnny rolled his eyes, both in embarrassment and jealousy. Over the phone with Daniel, Daniel had insisted it wasn’t a problem at all to have them. Johnny disagreed, but what other choice did he have? His plans were already ruined anyway and he wasn’t succumbing to Robby going back to Shannon’s alone for Christmas. Robby didn’t mind the change of scenery - God, his politeness and patience were surely not inherited from his father. Johnny couldn’t seem to mind as long as this all got smoothed out and Robby had a good night.
The LaRusso’s front room was decked out in bright white lights and greenery. Smooth jazz music erupted from the corner, along Amanda quickly adjusted the sound. Johnny peered down one of the hallways, noticing they took the phrase “deck the halls” a little too literally. It was impressive, honestly.
Amanda approached the pair and was quick to shake their hands. “It’s very nice to see you both,” she told them, lingering slightly at Johnny. Maybe it was the maternal instinct in her to know when something was wrong, but she definitely sensed tension with Johnny. Johnny tightly smiled at her until she walked away to the kitchen, trying to make himself seem put together.
He turned back towards Robby who was taking in the decorations. “Sorry again, Robby. If that jackass upstairs hadn’t tried to light three trees at once, we wouldn’t be here.” Robby looked up at him, confused.
“It’s okay, Dad. Really.” He let out a breath of relief. Being addressed as ‘Dad’ was new to him and a foreign concept, but it warmed his heart every time he heard it. “I’m gonna say hi to Sam if that’s okay,” Robby said with a small smile. He waved him off and patted his shoulder as he walked past and down the decked hall. He was proud of his son for following in his footsteps in that way; arguably one of the good traits he inherited. For their sake, he hoped it would work out this time.
“Well, merry Christmas Johnny!” Daniel exclaimed, sneaking up out of nowhere on him. “Mi casa es su casa. Wait, do you know what that means? I know you’re with Miguel a lot but-”
“I’m not an idiot, Daniel. I passed Spanish in high school, thanks to Ali’s homework.” Daniel chuckled, putting his hand on Johnny’s shoulder.
“And look how far that got you. Make yourself at home, John. Dinner’s almost ready. I don’t have any Coors Banquet, but you can pick your poison.” Daniel presented him with his bar cart, fully stocked with a large variety of alcohol. Johnny mumbled back a thanks and cracked open a beer.
“If I didn’t know better,” Johnny started, pausing to take a swig out of his bottle. “I’d say you were an alcoholic.”
“And what do you think the cause of that would be?”
“Bullshit, LaRusso.”
“You’re telling me!” Johnny rolled his eyes at Daniel’s remark. The pair was on better terms now, but those terms still weren’t good . Acquaintances with a past, at most. Either way, Johnny was ready for this night to be over. Daniel led them into the kitchen (which was still, ridiculously decorated) and helped Amanda finish up dinner. Johnny found himself examining their family photos on the mantle and the walls. The most he had was Robby’s soccer picture from God knows how many years ago. He secretly wished for what LaRusso had. The perfect family, the perfect mentor, the perfect life . Aside from his part in it, of course. He’d never admit to it aloud, but he felt its presence everywhere. In everything he did, he realized the weight of the things he’d done and how hard they were to fix. But he was working on it. Trying had to count for something.
Robby, Sam, and Anthony eventually came down from the hall and sat to eat the five-course meal Amanda had prepared.
“You’ve outdone yourselves. Thank you,” Johnny commented to the couple next to him. Robby sat on the other side of him, but Daniel insisted on sitting next to Johnny (even if it wasn’t his ‘usual’ spot as Anthony put it).
“Of course, any time,” Amanda accepted with a smile.
Daniel, on the other hand, protested. “A compliment from Johnny Lawrence? It must be a true Christmas miracle.”
“Laugh it up LaRusso. I’m here out of pity.”
“Sure you are, John.” The table succumbed to the silent chatter of forks scraping against plates and small comments here and there. When everyone was finished, Daniel put on Home Alone and ended up at the kitchen island with Johnny. Johnny watched a lot of television and films, sure, but he was enjoying the peace and sense of comfort he found there. It was a change of pace and he hated himself for enjoying it there. At Daniel LaRusso’s mansion nonetheless. “Not a fan of peak Christmas movies?” Daniel approached, holding a bottle of whiskey and two glasses.
“Nah, I’m just. Watching, I guess.” Johnny didn’t know how to lie very well, which was funny considering his track record. Daniel set the glasses down and gestured to ask permission. Johnny grabbed the glass and nodded. “Thanks, man.”
“You not a fan of Christmas or something?”
“It’s my first Christmas with Robby, you know. My mom, uh, didn’t have a great track record with holidays. I don’t want to repeat the same mistakes,” Johnny admitted, unsure why he was even talking about it. His mom had been gone for years and he didn’t even like to speak about her when she was still here. Daniel just nodded silently and sipped his drink. “I feel like I already ruined it,” he whispered. At this comment, Daniel placed a hand on his shoulder and looked up at him.
“You didn’t ruin it. I may not be your biggest fan, but I can’t watch you self-deprecate like this. You don’t deserve that. And look at him.” He pointed towards Robby, who was laughing on the couch next to Sam. “He’s happy.”
“No thanks to me.”
“You brought him here. That was enough.” Their conversation lulled as Johnny thought about what he had said. Robby looked happy to be there and that’s all that mattered, wasn’t it? Maybe it wasn’t such a bad night after all, and maybe this was where they were supposed to be.
“Can I ask a favor?”
“Sure, Johnny.”
“Do you have wrapping paper?” Daniel coughed out a laugh.
“Wrapping paper?” He asked back, laughing over his words.
“Whatever, man, forget I asked.”
“No, no, I do. Come with me.” Johnny rolled his eyes again and followed Daniel to a room opposite the other hallway. “Choose wisely,” Daniel teased, showing him an array of papers. Johnny wasn’t going to bother wrapping Robby’s gift, but he felt like the Christmas spirit was upon him. It didn’t help that he’d never wrapped a present before, but hell if he was going to ask Daniel for instruction. Johnny smiled weakly at him and grabbed a random blue roll with snowflakes on it. Expecting Daniel to leave, Johnny took out the gift from his jacket pocket and tried to align it with the paper. “Johnny,” Daniel sterned.
“What?”
“Have you ever even, you know, wrapped a gift?”
“Pssh, of course, I have.” Johnny held his pocket knife up towards the paper, the paper crinkling in his hands.
“Doesn’t look like it. Here.” Daniel took a pair of scissors off a desk and laid the wrapping on the floor. Johnny crouched to meet his level and watched the man cut the paper and carefully wrap it around the rectangle. “Tape?”
“Oh, right.” Johnny turned and found the tape, ripping off too long of a piece and handing it to him. Daniel chuckled at it but took it anyway. They continued on it mutually (although Daniel definitely knew what he was doing; Johnny did not). When done, Daniel stood and bowed to it as if it were a karate match. Johnny shook his head at him and took the gift from the floor. “Thank you. I appreciate it, man.”
“Anytime John.” They left the room and returned to their whiskeys at the counter. “You’re really worried about this whole Robby-Christmas thing, aren’t you?” Daniel asked, pushing the subject further. Johnny gulped and took another swig. “For what it’s worth, I think your worry is proof you’re doing something right. As parents, all we want is our kids to be okay.”
“I screwed up. Bad.” He sighed.
“We all do.” Daniel paused. “Sam’s 8th Christmas? She caught me writing from Santa on a present. How’s that for lazy planning on my part?” Johnny laughed, picturing the story.
“That’s different.”
“Sure it is. Point is, we make mistakes. We learn from them. We grow up. And along the way, we realize that maybe, someday, things will be forgiven.” Johnny stared at the bottom of his glass, taking the other man’s words to heart. “You’re doing alright, Johnny. And believe it or not, it’s good for you to be in his life. You both deserve that.”
“You know, I never thought I’d say this, but you give good advice LaRusso.”
“We’re not so different, you and I. We were raised differently - sometimes that’s the only difference. We don’t have to fight.” Daniel smiled meekly.
“No. I suppose we don’t.”
“Christmas truce?”
“Christmas truce,” he agreed. The men shook hands, accepting the fact that tomorrow was a new day. Maybe in the new year, things would be better for them; they could only hope. The movie shortly ended and Johnny collected his things to leave. Daniel started leading him towards the front door. “Thank you again, Daniel. It was a good Christmas.”
“I would have to agree with you there. Wait, where’s Robby?”
“Saying goodbye to Sam.” Daniel nodded, but as he turned his head towards the hallway, he saw the couple kiss under a conveniently planted mistletoe. Daniel scoffed as Johnny started to smile. “Attaboy,” he mumbled under his breath.
“I guess it is tradition,” Daniel agreed solemnly. “I need another drink.”
“Tradition or not, if you try getting me under that? It’s over LaRusso. I will kick your ass until there’s no ass left to kick.”
“Ouch. You forget I’m also a trained fighter.”
“I don’t know how I could forget the thing you’ve lorded over me for how many years now?” Johnny started counting on his fingers. Daniel struck his hand down, laughing as he did.
“Point taken.” Robby suddenly appeared from the hall, joining them.
“What’s happening over here?” He asked calmly, a sly smile on his face.
“Your father’s being his ridiculous self.”
“What’s new?” The three of them shared a moment before Johnny and Robby headed out the door, thanking Daniel once again. Once outside, Johnny reached into his pocket.
“Before I forget,” he started, “I wanted you to have this.” Robby looked up at him, his breath condensing in the cold air. He carefully unwrapped the paper, revealing an old walkman. “I know it’s not much and I’m sorry. It used to be mine and it got me through some tough shit. If you think it’s stupid or you don’t want it, that’s fine I-” His rambling was cut off by Robby flinging his arms around him.
“Thank you,” he mumbled into Johnny’s jacket. Johnny, slightly taken aback, hugged him back cautiously and closed his eyes.
“Merry Christmas kid.”
“Merry Christmas Dad. I love you.” Johnny’s eyes filled with tears and he grabbed onto his son a little tighter. Maybe Daniel was right, in all of his weird wisdom and philosophy. Some things were worth fixing.
“I love you too, Robby.”

BIG Drericka art dump!
1. Some fun with Ericka giving Drac belly rubs
2. Touchstarved Ericka fluff. I do alot with Drac melting from Ericka, always fun to flip it.
3. I love the idea that Ericka likes to watch Drac sleep and tries to say "I love you" in all the languages she knows. Here, it's english, Romanian, and Dutch.
4. Drac seducing Ericka into taking a break.
5. Drericka dancing bot inspired by watching Star VS' Club Snubbed and Blood Moon Ball episodes
6. Some Drericka hurt comfort inspired by @twinklecupcake and @humanityinahandbag's headcanon of Ericka having panic attacks.
7. More Ericka talking to sleeping Drac, trying to say how much she loves him.
8. Pregnant Ericka having a moment of adoring her Scary-Not-scary vampire husband
9. Some post-argument angst with Ericka and Bat Drac
10. Ericka relaxing bat!Drac by scratching his head.

For the prompt NICE @allvalley100
Daniel finds him sprawled across the couch six beers in, staring teary-eyed at a photo. The woman beams at them: young, carefree, hair almost as golden as Johnny’s.
“Twenty years,” Johnny says hoarsely. “Twenty fucking years.”
Daniel settles next to him. He coaxes Johnny’s head onto his shoulder and holds him tight, fingers carding through his hair.
“Tell me about her.”
“She was…nice. Good. Patient. Everything I’m not.” He sniffles, pressing closer. “Even with all the shit Sid put her through. She never stopped fighting.”
Daniel smiles sadly, kissing his temple. “I think you’re more like her than you think.”

"does it have to be like this?"
"yes .."
"will you come and visit me?"
"no"
"...I'll be better I promise"
"it's for the better"
".don't go...I need you"
"It's for the better"
"please..."
"bye"
With one last kiss on the lips, and a tear drop on pale skin, soft touches on his waist, Daniel walked away from a teary eye Johnny, it was for the better, they were hurting each other, with anger jealousy, possessive, they were toxic to the point it oozed out of their skin, it hurt the people around them, this wasn't who they were.
It was for the better of them and their life, maybe one day they'll be back, maybe.

“I mean we hated each other in high school so I’m not surprised this whole thing sparked again.” Daniel shifted on his chest, looking up at him with a frown that Johnny refused to acknowledge as adorable.
“I didn’t hate you in high school?” Johnny blinked down at the brunet, his brain making a noise that sounds distinctly like a record scratch.
“What? But I thought-” Daniel shifted his whole body up this time, swinging a leg over Johnny’s body and settling on his thighs. The blonds hands immediately came up to rest on the other’s hips, though his brain didn’t automatically kick into gear this time around.
“Johnny. Yeah, we had that whole rivalry thing going on and you pissed me off but I didn’t hate you. If anything I was afraid of you.” Johnny winces with the words, averting his gaze as his hands clenched on the other man’s waist.
Daniel leant forward slightly, cupping his cheeks with far too gentle hands so he could turn Johnny’s head back toward him, “Hey. It’s in the past and I know you were going through your own things back then. We talked about it.”
Johnny was still unconvinced, frowning up at his partner as the brunet huffed a soft laugh, “If it makes you feel any better, I had a raging crush on you for most of that year.”
The blond groaned, pulling a laughing Daniel down so he could hide his burning blush in the other man’s shoulder, “Now you’re just making me sound like an utter asshole.”
“Johnny you were an asshole! You got upset I was talking to your ex-girlfriend. And we didn’t even date!” Said man groaned again, wrapping his arms around the other so he couldn’t pull away and see his face.
Johnny knew Daniel was only joking about the crush thing, but he didn’t know he didn’t hate him at all. The brunet snorted, turning his head so he could land a somewhat awkward kiss on the side of the blond’s head.
“I love you…” Johnny felt his face heat up more and he knew Daniel could feel it too but he couldn’t bring himself to care much, too busy turning his own head so he could lay a gentle kiss on the side of Daniel’s neck.
“Love you too dickhead.”

" get a grip on yourself , sensei. " part 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Note: Daniel isn't in this part, its Miguel's and johnny's turn to have angst.
A week had passed since the tense encounter between Johnny Lawrence and Daniel LaRusso. The valley remained divided, tension simmering just below the surface. Miguel had grown increasingly restless, torn between his loyalty to Johnny and his growing admiration for the principles of Miyagi-Do.
One evening, after another exhausting training session at Miyagi-Do, Miguel found himself standing outside Johnny's apartment. He hesitated before knocking on the door, his heart pounding in his chest. The door swung open, revealing Johnny's weary expression
-
"Miguel? What are you doing here?"
-
Miguel swallowed nervously, his determination bolstering his resolve. He always hated him and sensei LaRusso continuously fighting, arguing what ever they did. It was time Miguel stood up and said something about it, Sam and Miguel planned this after the whole thing with the fight.
-
"Uh, Hey. Can we talk? I know you probably don't want to but this is . . . important. "
-
Johnny motioned for him to enter with his head , Miguel would walk in closing the door behind him and they settled into the living room. The silence hung heavy between them until Miguel broke it with shrugging his arms creating a slap when he puts it down from the air.
-
"S - Sensei , I know you don't trust Daniel. But I've been training with him, and he's - He's not like Kreese okay? . . . He genuinely wants to end this rivalry and help you become better person overall."
-
Johnny would chuckle, a small smile appeared but it was completely fake. His thoughts of Miguel leaving him from his rival haunted him all day long and now that Miguel said that he doesn't know how to feel. Miguel would wait for a response, Sighing softly and quietly knowing what his response might been since he knows johnny as well and a little more than Daniel because johnny told him A lot of stuff over the years.
-
"You're buying into his Miyagi-Do mumbo jumbo, huh? I thought you were smarter than that Diaz. Seriously, I told you ALL the stories and how I feel about him and his stupid karate. I'm surprised you even think its badass.''
-
Miguel met Johnny's gaze, his brown eyes sincere and unwavering.
- - -
"I get it, Sensei. I'm not asking you to forget the past. But holding onto that anger... it's only hurting us."
- - -
Johnny's jaw tightened, his emotions visibly battling within him. He took a deep breath, exhaling slowly as he leaned back against the couch.
-
"You've always got a way of Seein' things, Miguel . . . But this isn't some karate match. It's my life., and you don't know half the stuff of what is going on with me and him lately. It's best if you leave."
-
Miguel's voice remained steady, his eyes shining with emotion. A tear welled up, and he quickly wiped it away with the back of his hand. He met Johnny's gaze once more, his vulnerability laid bare.
-
"Get a grip on yourself, Sensei. You've changed, and - and ! you've changed my life. Please... consider what I'm saying.."
-
Johnny's gaze flickered back to Miguel, a complex swirl of emotions crossing his features. Miguel's unwavering belief, the sincerity in his voice, and the tear he had wiped away – they all struck a chord within Johnny, unraveling layers of stubborn resistance. Miguel stood up, his eyes locking onto Johnny's.
-
"Think about it, Johnny. For me. For us."
-
As Miguel turned and left the apartment, the room felt both emptier and fuller than before. The echoes of their conversation reverberated in Johnny's mind, stirring a mix of introspection and turmoil.
Johnny sat on the couch for a long moment, his gaze distant as he replayed their conversation in his mind. Slowly, he got up, his head still heavy with conflicting thoughts. He stepped outside, walking to the nearby store, his steps a little unsteady. He purchased a pack of Coors, his fingers tightening around the cold bottles.
Sitting on the curb, he opened a bottle and took a long swig. Memories, regrets, and hopes swirled in his mind as he stared at the darkening sky. He finished one bottle and then another, the alcohol providing a temporary escape from the storm within him.
The night air was cool, and the quiet of the moment gave Johnny a space to think. His head leaned back on the couch, his gaze fixated on the stars above. It was as if the universe held the answers he was seeking.
And then, as the echoes of Miguel's words resonated in his mind, a new determination flickered in Johnny's eyes. He crushed the empty bottles and got up, his steps steadier now. The weight of the decision he was about to make felt both daunting and liberating.
He also taught of what Miguel said about Daniel, but he tried to forget about what Daniel was talking about to Miguel and still tried to keep the hatred for him up with kreese. It was around 9pm now, 4 Hours has past after he said that, Johnny decides to run the streets under the influence breaking the law for the 100th time. He decided he would go to his apartment now and watch Rocky I. The anger he felt was clouded by the alcohol now but will soon be reflooded by the time he would wake up the next day for his training with his cobra students and Kreese the next day.
(this one was shorter because its 9pm almost 10pm TOMORROW IT WILL BE SUPER LONGER! will be on ao3 soon.)
