BIRDS EYE VIEW PT 2 SPOILERS
what i SO EXPECTED to happen was that lawrence killed MINTY (instead of monty) so juno knew for sure that the revivifying process worked, and we had a villainous showdown with lawrence hiring juno for some other nefarious reason - mad scientist esque
i guess having the revivifying process perfected 20 years earlier would have the "running out of time" stakes-raiser for nuyerev be null - but god that would've been a fantastic way for juno to find out
LYDIA KILLING MONTY TO PROTECT CHIP WAS V GOOD
"...he was always repeating things." "repeatin things!?" yes rita go theatre girlie go
wondering about the title - i guess the point of the case is for juno to imagine himself from Lydia/Lawrence's perspective - someone who has let go vs. someone who hasn't. At the same time, though, Nureyev is also someone who hasn't let go - of Slip - will the season end with Juno letting go of Nuyerev as the healthy thing to do? I don't even wanna think about it
BECAUSE LIKE there's little things like "[running for someone else is] when i run the fastest" that's super reminiscent of Juno before he was trying to get better, and then Lydia pushing him to let go, and bird's eye view being someone that very literally points to him being forced to reflect???
what if the season ends with slip waking and then not being receptive to Nuyerev at all? to show that you shouldn't chase someone like that?
im going insane guys jupeter divorce era is NOT treating me well

Crow's Brain Rot Queer Podcast Recs! (part 1)
I know literally no one asked for this but since this blog started off as mostly podcast related posts I'm recommending some good gay shit for those who are still here for the pods 👌🏻
(p.s. only gonna be talking about the main relationships cuz if I talk about all the queer folks in each of these I'd be here a while)
Welcome To Night Vale
TWs: existential dread, depression, unreality, conspiracy theory, violence, death, mentions of guns, racism, cultural appropriation of Native Americans, government endorsed and police violence.
I'm pretty sure if you were on tumblr minimum since 2015 you know this one, but if you weren't/just didn't care about podcasts until now. WTNV is recorded in the style of a news radio broadcast located in a weird little town known as Night Vale. The host of the humble radio show is Cecil Gershwin Palmer (voiced by Cecil Baldwin), who is a confirmed gay man and who's love interest is known as Carlos the scientist (voiced by co-writer Jefferey Cranor and later by Lou Fernandez). Join Cecil as he talks about the strange everyday things that happen in Night Vale, just don't eat wheat or wheat by-products.
The Penumbra Podcast
TWs: child abuse and abusers, Sudden loud noises. ableist language, surgery and body horror, violence and threats of violence, death, mortality, and illness, claustrophobic and dark spaces, deception and gaslighting.
TPP has a main story line and other side stories that aren't related, the side stories are great but I'll only be talking about the main story today! TPP follows Privet Investigator Juno Steel (voiced by Joshua Ilon) as he arrests bad guys and takes up PI work in crime filled Hyperion City on Mars and works through his sad boy problems one questionable mission at a time. Juno Steel is bisexual and nonbinary and he uses he/him pronouns. his love interest is master thief for hire Peter Nuryeve (voiced by Noah Simes).
The Magnus Archives
TWs: this one has a lot so I'll link a list of the TWs for each ep here, I did not make the list.
TMA is one of my favorites and honestly I had to restrain myself to not put this one at the top and make a whole novel about why you should listen to it. head archivist Jonathan Sims (voiced by creator Jonathan Sims) reads and records statements made by people who have had experiences with monsters, the paranormal, and other things while dealing with his own little fucked up workplace, uncovering secrets and discovering the uncommon might be a little bit more common then he once thought, Jonathan is a bi-ace man and his love interest is his assistant Martin K. Blackwood (voiced by co-creator Alexander J. Newall) who is a gay man.
EOS10
TWs: child slavery, drug and alcohol addiction, ableism towards autistic individuals.
EOS10 is a si-fi comedy drama about, well, space doctors! (trust me its good) it follows Dr. Ryan Dalias (voiced by Justin McLachlan) who was sent to EOS10 to help Dr. Horace Urvidian (voiced by Dan Berry) become sober so that he would do his job better. Dr. Dalias is bisexual and I can't really describe his love interest(s) without spoilers (its not Dr. Urvidian) but they are male and gay.

Fun fact regarding Nova's name change in the newest penumbra ep since I haven't seen anyone mention it!
If you're slavic your last name changes based on your gender, if you're male it stays the same, but if you're female its the same but it ends with -ovna! (or another similar variation like -ova for example) This is most probably the Earth tradition Juno was referring to about Nova's last name change from Zolotov to Zolotovna!!

Nureyev is…Nureyev. He’s helpful, personable, and fulfills his duties perfectly- both as a crewmember and as a boyfriend. He’s always there when Juno needs him, implacable as a stone wall. Juno loves him, and feels eternally grateful for the second chance he’s been given with him. He doesn’t take it for granted, not even for a moment.
Something still feels wrong, though, and it’s tearing him apart that he doesn’t know what.

I think we're all thirsting over Juno's thighs (or maybe it's just me), so can we have something nsfw with that?
I couldn’t think of a really good way to pull off this particular prompt, and then the new episode hit.
(Spoilers for the new ep)(Also nsfw under the cut)
Well.
That could have gone better.
Peter considers folding up his current agitation and stowing it away like he does so much else, but he thinks better of it. The heist is accomplished, even if it has been hopelessly botched, and now he has nothing to occupy his time or his mind while Juno finishes undressing on the other side of a folding screen.
So he reaches into the file in his head and unfolds the thoughts he’s tucked away until now-- all the petty resentments, all the little betrayals, all the tiny ways that this could have gone so much smoother if not for Juno Steel.
His thoughts are (rudely) interrupted by the very same.
“Hey, Ransom,” Juno says through the screen. “You still got that knife on you?”
Given the litany of animosity fluttering through his mind, there’s a not insignificant temptation to use it. “Don’t worry, Juno. The Captain has made it very clear that she wants you back in one piece.”
“You’re hilarious,” Juno says. “I just need to borrow it for a second. I’m having a wardrobe malfunction here.”
That piques Peter’s interest slightly more than his ire. “What could you possibly have done to that dress that requires a knife?”
“It’s those little hookie-things. They’re--” There’s a rustle of tulle. “They’re caught on the skirts, okay?”
“And you plan to cut your way out?” Peter asks.
“The job’s over, isn’t it?” More rustling. “Besides, I can’t exactly get a good angle on it like this, okay?”
“Try to show a little class, detective.” Peter scowls and steps around the screen.
Juno jumps back with a slight yelp, dropping his skirts in a cascade of lace and tulle. As if there’s anything here that Peter hasn’t seen before.
“Jesus, Ransom,” he says. “Knock next time, will you? Could a lady get a little privacy?”
“Not if the lady continues to waste my time,” Peter says coolly. “Show me what’s giving you so much trouble. I want to get off this godforsaken planet.”
Juno hesitates. “I can get it.”
“Obviously that isn’t the case.” Peter glares. “Are you going to tell me what’s holding us up, or shall I leave without you?”
There’s a moment of cold satisfaction as Peter watches Juno flinch.
“It’s the-- whaddya call it-- the strap thing. It’s caught on the lace skirt. Last time I checked, they don’t usually have hooks like this.”
“The strap thing?”
Juno snaps his fingers, remembering the word. “The garter belt.”
Ah. So that wasn’t just Juno’s patent reticence at play. But Peter has already made his terms, and he isn’t about to be cowed by awkwardness. “Well? Are you going to let me at it or are you going to stand there all day?”
Juno watches him for a long, quiet moment, but then he hikes up the whole of his skirts. If Peter feels like being fair, it isn’t surprising that Juno’s having so much trouble. The skirts by themselves are more than an armful, and that’s to say nothing of the feat that is bending over and making any sort of adjustments so close to the hip.
As nonchalantly as he can, Peter sinks to his knees at Juno’s feet.
There’s the garter-- just as he said, it’s of an unusual design, made with too many straps and interlocking hooks, half of which have gotten tangled in the lace of Juno’s skirts over the course of the evening. Cutting through them might in fact be the most practical option.
But he isn’t about to cede that ground to Juno Steel. So he leans in closer for a better look at the haphazard straps and the twisted lace, and he tries not to think of the context of his situation.
Between the hem of Juno’s panties and the edge of his tights lies a plane of bare skin as distractingly tempting as any of the treasures at the auction.
He remembers the last time he saw those thighs. He remembers when he wrapped his hands around them, felt the corded muscle, the pillowy softness. There are scars here-- there are scars on every inch of Juno Steel, it seems-- laser burns and knife wounds and the round remnants of old cigarette burns. He only glimpsed them once, and at the time he was too caught up in the moment to commit the constellations of scars to memory, but he notes a few new marks among the old-- the scattered straight lines of broken glass.
He wants to ask what happened, but that feels like too intimate a question when he’s practically breathing on Juno’s groin.
He goes back to the notes saved for later, to the thousand slights and injuries that Juno’s caused him, and he basks in well-deserved fury. Angry heat rises in his cheeks and drowns out the warmth that was gathering there.
“Hey,” Juno says. Through the haze of anger, his voice sounds so very small. “You okay down there?”
“Fine,” Peter grates.
“Listen, I can get it. Really.”
“I have it,” Peter snaps. “Stop moving.”
It’s hard enough to manage the little hooks without damaging the lace. But the way Juno sways and shifts his weight, it’s nearly impossible.
“Ransom--”
“I said hold still.”
In his mind’s eye, he grabs Juno’s leg and pins him in place.
As efforts go, it’s successful. Juno freezes in place. Peter’s hand is still wrapped around his bare leg.
Safe in his thoughts, he is free to lean in, to bury his face in the vulnerable softness of Juno’s inner thigh, to run his lips over the texture of every single scar. He can slip his fingers up higher and slide those panties out of the way. He can ease that lovely cock out of its restraints and into his mouth. He can worship that body in the way that’s haunted his dreams for the past year. He can drag a melody of gasps and moans out of Juno’s throat until he’s boneless and drowning in a puddle of skirts.
But that’s only in his mind’s eye.
In the waking world, he is careful never to let his skin brush Juno’s. He carefully uncatches the last of the hooks and lets the garter fall away, and then he too falls away. “I trust you can manage the rest?”
“Yeah,” Juno says quietly. He doesn’t look at Peter. “Thanks.”
Peter nods and rises to his feet without another word.
In the safety of solitude he carefully folds up his thoughts, one after another, and files them away for further consideration.
They will need to be reexamined, but at a later time. Not here. Not now. And nowhere near Juno Steel.
