For anyone who might catch themselves, as I just did, going down an especially bad Doom Loop: it is Sunday night AND the end of Daylight Savings. Whatever terrible thing your brain is telling you at the moment should probably be totally ignored.

my toxic trait is that every time i have a fic idea that doesn't involve kon, my brain immediately goes "but wouldn't it be even better if kon was there??" and i mean it's right. every time. thus is the curse of having a favorite character

I can’t believe it took me years to realise this but
Men find it absolutely hilarious when women/girls use “bro” “dude” “fam” “guys” to refer to others, in the most derisive way possible.
Every damn day I unwillingly overhear my youngest brother’s conversations with his xbox friends because the walls are thin and he has no damn volume control and there’s a girl who plays with them. When she isn’t online, they say the most demeaning things – not in a sexual way (I pray) but they’re always mocking her, criticising her gameplay and just clearly hate her guts.
(which makes me wonder why they don’t just unfriend her and kick her out of the party if they hate her so much, then hopefully she can find some better friends…poor kid)
Anyways this one time they were talking about how she always tries to act like one of them. Like she’s their bro. Like she’s a man. And it absolutely pissed them off. But they were laughing too. All ‘hah she really thinks she’s a guy. she thinks she’s our equal. she sounds so stupid. why do girls always talk like this lololol. let’s show her her real place and knock her down a few pegs in our next match. when she asks for an assist let’s just ignore her’
Fucking bleak. But it made me wonder how common of a thought this is for males. Women and girls using bro-talk is rampant on the internet and also in person, even with no y chromosomes in the equation.

What would Machete think of winter ? Would he dislike snow ? I wonder.
I see him staying inside warming up while watching the snow fall, not really liking going outside. Idk.
He wouldn't deal well with winter. I don't think Vasco would be a fan either, they're both short coated dogs that are used to the comparatively warm Mediterranean climate.
I guess there would be an element of novelty to it at first, and maybe even Machete would find the snowy lanscapes pretty. But he's already having issues with thermoregulation in the canon setting (mostly due to anemia and low body weight. He tends to have cold hands and feet), adding in freezing weather would drain all life out of him very fast. He'd be taking even more hot baths than usual and spending as much time as possible near fireplaces.

still caught up on the back door of it all. (yes i'n turning it into my own heavy handed evan buckley style metaphor so what?). buck getting a side of eddie no one else does, this open and vulnerable and heartbroken man who doesn't have to be anything but himself because he knows buck is safety and certainty and of course. buck being let in in a way no one else is, into the deepest and ugliest parts of eddie that he's tried to hide and polish and fix on his own for so long. eddie opening the door wide for him and being shocked when buck asks if he can come in because buck's the kind of person to knock eddie's door down to get to him, but also knowing that buck will always knock first as an i'm here, i'll be here before he pushes his way inside all of eddie's mess. and the back door opening into the kitchen, into the heart of the home generally, but absolutely the heart of their home, buck comes knocking and eddie lets him into his heart without hesitation, eddie lets him into his heart directly, no hallways to traverse through first, one step and buck's inside because when is he not nestled safely in eddie's heart?

I don't generally hang out in the Dr. Ratio tags, so I'm not sure if this is common knowledge or not, but it tickles me every time I remember it;
did you guys know Dr. Ratio actually had an in-game cameo before his big debut in 1.6's The Crown of the Mundane and Divine? He was actually in the 1.5 update, The Crepuscule Zone aka Fyxestroll Garden Event!
So in 1.6, we get to actually meet Ratio face-to-face partway through. But even before that, we unknowingly talk to him through text messages in the researchers' group chat.
We know that this is Ratio's username, because we have his achievement:
And in 1.5, we have just one (1) single instance of this same username on the message boards...
Dude's been trolling since before he even showed his face BSKZJDMSKMSNDN
