Honest to god I fucking adore the levels for the hero story in Sonic Adventure 2 because when you look at all of them they are so fucking funny. I mean all of Sonic's levels are him either booking it away from or towards something, Tails' levels are him blasting his way through hoards of enemies and breaking into places that he really isn't allowed to be in and then Knuckles' levels are just him dicking around in random, completely unrelated places looking for the master emerald which HE HIMSELF BROKE. These boys are a mess how the hell do they work so well as a team???

This episode actually shows a big reason why I haven't really published a lot for like, Ozzie or Valentino in terms of actual fics because, my take on Ozzie's personality based purely off his debut appearance would've been a lot more different and now we see that, bro he's, suave yeah, but also, a huge green flag lovable cinnamon roll dork??? Valentino, we only have seen so much of. To be honest the way he's been presented seems to sway from "scary as fuck during gangster business stuff" to "he's kind of a ratchet ho, actually" and I'm not, entirely super confident writing stuff for him because like, I'm more of, assuming? I can't, analyze his character like I can for other characters with more material out for them.

For real though, my current stance on this matter is: Asmodeus, you could go to him and ask for his knowledge and advice on like genuine issues or things you're curious or concerned about like, legit you could sit down and have STD talks with this man ("h-hey Ozzie is it normal to have xyz on my you know what" "oh honey yes that's just like a blood blister from friction you're fine" "oh my god ok good because I was worried it was cancer" "HONEY NO 😩") meanwhile fucking Valentino over here would be like "bitch why you got cellulite" and like make backhanded comments like, oh maybe he could reward you with a boob job instead of your next paycheck (as in like, cosmetic surgery 💀 you know I've thought about that? Yan Valentino who's crazy for ya but, not crazy enough to not make certain, tweaks to your actual body. Maybe he dyes your hair or has it styled a specific way and basically refuses to let you do whatever you want with it. Gets your boobs or ass done. Makes you get fillers/botox for any wrinkles/static lines. Controlling your wardrobe is a must. You're like his little.... pursedog)

(That being said though. I'd still let him hit 😩 reader who gets drunk and fucks around and finds out--)

Anyways though, over here in our corner we believe in unapologetic self indulgence and I still believe a Reader who has magical abilities or powers and whatnot and can travel the rings through whatever convoluted means is a fun time. So. We're gonna do that! I mean. Asmodeus honestly seems chill enough that even if you like, somehow crashed into his club, as long as you were polite and respectful, he'd be chill with letting your hang around, maybe even getting a kick out of teasing you (but never pushing anything too far unless you show interest, and if you show any discomfort or trauma he backs off to re-strategize). I imagine his club would actually be pretty fun? Drinks, live music, although, kind of makes me wonder, how openly horny is this place? Probably not like "coochie in your face" like working for Valentino, so, Reader could even be all "honestly this is such a much more safe welcoming environment to engage in like sexuality" and Ozzie hears this and its like, dude. You might as well have just struck him through the heart with cupids own arrow, but, also, he's curious, what other places have you been?

I'm kind of convinced that if a little imp cunt like Crimson thinks he has the balls to stand up against Ozzie, hostage or not, I kinda feel like. Valentino would probably openly treat Asmodeus like shit. He'd probably be a catty fucking bitch to him. He probably looks at Ozzie as like, a diet coke version of himself, a version who has so much power but doesn't go far enough, and probably scoffs at Asmodeus' romantic attachment (even though Val has some weird on-off thing with Vox himself). Valentino doesn't give two fucks about consent and would probably openly mock Ozzie'e values

Or. They could be big business partners because, maybe there's some sort of inter-Ring porn trafficking pipeline or something, smuggling the good shit up from Lust and trading it with stuff from Sinners, who have more visual variety besides other perks etc

But just picture, Asmodeus and Fizz are, minding their own biz, at the club, chilling, listening to music, eating food vaguely shaped like clocks, and Ozzie's cell rings, and they're both like "aw I bet Reader's calling to say they're having fun at that party or whatever" but they answer it and you're like, hiding in the bathroom or a closet or something, crying, whispering under your breath "d-do you still have a place for me to stay like you said before 🥺 Valentino is really, REALLY drunk tonight and he's really scaring me, he grabbed me and--"

They're both at your exact location in like less than 5 minutes and maybe have to play it off, Ozzie distracting Val while Fizz steals you away, or, juicier, like. Imagine Val snatching your phone from your hand, going through your messages, "who the fuck have you been talking to?" And he pulls like the classic abusive boyfriend move and when he sees you're in frequent contact with someone named "Ozzie" he calls him from your phone and as soon as a male voice picks up, they're both going at it "bitch who the fuck are you?" "Bitch who the fuck are YOU?" "Why you got my baby's number?" "Why do YOU have MY baby's PHONE???" "I'm about to HAVE my foot up your ass, you--" like, you know what I mean? Asmodeus is rolling up and these two are all but butting heads with each other as you have to awkwardly explain how you know both of them and of course, suddenly there's a not quite comfortable conversation about which one of them you... "belong to", neither of them wanting to leave you with the other (although I imagine in a physical fight Asmodeus would win but Valentino would have homefield advantage involving his security dudes)

Either way like.... oh my god watching them lounge in that nice big bed together. Fizz being on Ozzie's chest, like. Give me that 😩😩😩 "oh Reader, baby, so glad you took up our offer for a place to crash, but, since it was so short notice it'll have to be with us tonight" type shit and like you're fine with that but then bedtime comes and. There's Literally Only One Bed. And you're like ok you know what I'm not really in a position to be ungrateful, Valentino could have actually fucking hurt me or trafficked me or whatever, but, you're still small enough that Asmodeus could hypotheticallyyyy just, reach an arm over and scoop up you into his chest for a cuddle, or just have you in the crook of his arm like a cat or a teddy bear. Ozzie definitely sees an immediate perk on Fizz not being so much of a troll as to give you the airhorn treatment your first morning there, so, obviously, they have, multiple motivations to, keep urging you to stay 👀 after all, Val is going to be looking for you in the Pride Ring, and you don't have any other friends, so, you're kind of stuck with their whims aren't you? Unless you try to run off on your own, and I mean. Really. They can just hire someone to bring you back lmao. Or get you themselves. Could you imagine feeling way you uncomfortable around them and slipping away and suddenly you find a little white demon dog on wheels happily rolling up to you out of nowhere and it's. Anyways idk I just like the idea of like. Combining several ideas, you do the whole "accidentally did the whole Death Fall From The Sky and crash into Vals sunroof, he keeps you in servitude because you have to repay him, eventually you Fall into Lust and you start basically doing double jobs at both clubs and prefer Ozzie and he eventually has to rescue you". Also like Valentino "canonically" humiliates his partners on social media so I can imagine he's just publicly belittling and negging you all the time. One second you're happy at Ozzie's listening to music and eating unholy amounts of onion rings with your quirky well intentioned clown friend, the next week Asmodeus sees a Sinstagram post where Valentino is just like "cutie was whining she couldn't get any tips so I helped her out 😜🤭🍈🍈" and its just. A photo of you in your work uniform where he clearly just reached forward and tore open the front of your blouse and he is just. Full on deadass without any hint of irony making you basically work in your bra and he's just without any remorse posting photos of your running mascara and you're clearly crying but what can you do?

Val posting a photo of him literally shoving a tip INTO your bra, his FINGERS in there, and other like little clips and snippets of him demeaning you while you're like actually fucking blubbering "and make sure to get me extra ice!" I'm still at the recovery phase so i haven't been able to go back and watch the anime properly without being miserable about it ending (again), but the impact it's had on me is CRAZY. for example, like you brought up the voice acting, up until now i mostly just knew sugitan from jjba and miscellaneous other roles but now like. his IS gintoki to me. I can't imagine him as anything else it's just been ruined for me (and it's great !!) same thing with kagura, hijikata, KATSURA and shinpachi (funny story was i was watching sket dance and in the first episode i heard his VA and i was like SHINPACHI WHAT'RE YOU DOING THERE)

but yeah. Gintama was such an experience for me as a whole, probably one of my favourite media experiences in general. I've said this before but I'm so serious, i think this show has ruined shonen for me completely 😭 I'm always going to be looking for something like what gintama has in every other shonen (i could make a silver soul joke here) but i feel like I'd just be disappointed, which is INSANE

but hmmm, I'd say my personal taste in fics are actually slow burns, I really like fics that focus on Blitzwing and Bee forming an unlikely relationship based on their 'home lives' in a sense of it, where neither are understood and often viewed as annoyances/loose canons leading both to a feeling of isolation and a mild desperation/willingness to connect with anyone even at the risk of 'treason' for interacting with the other side.

I also enjoy the progression for Blitzwing of seeing Bumblebee as a harmless amusement to him somehow becoming a bit of a hyper focus that causes the big bad con to develop some empathy and *gasp* morals.

Meanwhile Bee is just a cocky little bastard who refuses to accept Blitzwing as the actual threat he is and then feelings are caught when his view of the world is shifted and he finds out Decepticons are also actually just people with complex feelings and motivations (also bonus if break down of autobots 'all warbuilds are evil because' bs is broken down)

I realize now I'm rambling so apologies its just a very fun ship to babble about.

If I was to ask for any fic, if you could set one in your Nemesis AU that be amazing, the size difference you give in that is spectacular like omg I stare so politely.

Also the concept is just very fun to me and I'd love to see that au world expanded.

The handful Blitzwing can afford to let in to his life, even if ‘friends’ isn’t the word he’d use, and the few Bumblebee can make real connections with, when he’s a mischievous ant with a complex to make ‘something great’ of himself.

But he already IS great and bad boy Blitzwing needs to make it his immediate life’s goal to get that through to him and give him lots of love. (I ramble, too, you’re in good company)

I’m bad at stating my thoughts, I get overwhelmed when it’s my own emotions. Statistically speaking, Cain got his angel TF pretty easily bc the first thing I did in his save was go to the temple & become an initiate. He’s been chastity belted & anal shielded up since the first week 😭 Never had a chance to get that purity meter down LOL! Like Sydney, he works himself to the bone with temple duties & school. His grace at the temple is almost always full, but lore-wise, with the molestation and close encounters he experiences, he’s kind of worn down & his heart isn’t really in it anymore :(

When he & Sydney started dating, it said “will you keep each other pure or fall from grace together?” the second one. Sydney is absolutely corrupt and once Cain’s promiscuity is high enough they’ll be sinning like fucking crazy 😭 I’d totally get his chastity stuff removed eventually when it fits my storyline. I think Sydney feels really guilty about it sometimes- Once i had this scene where he saw Cain’s halo in the reflection of his eye and he got all guilty n his purity went up 😨

As for Cain & Seraphina!!! I def have not developed them together much hehehe but it’s so fun to think about ty for fueling it >:3

I’ve never had a set in stone reason for why any of my characters are in the orphanage, but based off of vibes alone as i’m writing this? Seraphina’s been there since she was ~6 & Cain feels like he would’ve been sent there around 11/12. (Damn!! Actually developing lore ? crazy 😨 i don’t do that hehe) I imagine they had little to no interactions growing up just bc they had nothing in common

Her disdain for him is completely one sided & yes it stems from envy & jealousy. She’d start noticing him at high trauma and start despising him for being what she thinks is the epitome of purity while she’s out here, tormented. It’d kind of be like a Kylar-watching-from afar situation, where he’s unaware of her fixation at first. She hates him because he makes himself the center of attention all the time & doesn’t seem to reap any of the consequences that she does. He’s definitely more socially & physically privileged than she is and that blinds her from the reality that— he struggles in that town as much as anyone does 😬

I just finished What About Will by Ellen Hopkins a few days ago, and WOW do I have a lot to say about it!! But first, I must share the cover because it is hekkin gorgeous:

I know I shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover, but wow. Absolutely amazing. If a book has this as its cover, then it has to be good, I mean come on.

And their faces, too! Trace’s eyes are open and he’s looking a little bit up, while Will’s eyes are closed and he’s looking down… ough.

Okayokay so the book is first-person POV written in a free-verse style (I’ll share some of my favorite quotes in a bit). It’s all from Trace’s perspective (he’s the younger brother).

And Trace and Will really are brothers, let me tell you. Their relationship is messy but it used to be so good and Will was always the older one who looked out for Trace and Trace was always the younger one who looked up to Will and and and alsgakgsksgskwgavsja

But now their relationship isn’t great because of Thingsssss 😭 And it’s so sad and so real and so OUGH

Speaking of, this book is so real. It’s not extravagant or mind-blowing, and there’s not crazy battles or big villains. It’s just… a kid. It’s a kid doing life in a messed up world with a messed up family. That’s it.

Actually, if I had to describe this book in one word, I think it’d be “simple.” Not in a bad or weak way, but in a refreshing way; it was nice to read a story that’s just about a kid doing life, y’know? It was really nice.

Mannnn I got so darn invested so darn fast my goodness- it was like. Pretty much immediately. Just a few pages in and I was already completely sucked into this story and this world and these characters and YES!!! It’s not too often that I get invested this fast, at least as far as books go, but What About Will was just different. It was really fun :D

This book was super easy to read—partially because of the story itself, and partially because of the format. The story was simple enough to understand easily, and the format made reading really… quick, I guess? Because it’s set up like a poem, the short lines/paragraphs made it incredibly easy to read through!

(It was just like this with Ellen Hopkin’s other middle-grade novel, Closer To Nowhere, which was also written in a free-verse style)

Oh yeah! Middle grade! Almost forgot to mention that!!

Despite being out of middle school, I still prefer middle-grade novels to pretty much any other book; there’s a ton of incredible ones out there, and I’ve often found that they’re more creative and sometimes, better written, than YA!!

That being said, What About Will can absolutely be read by anybody, regardless of age. Don’t let the age suggestion stop you from reading this, please!! I promise you it truly is an incredible book with an incredible story 😭

I won’t spoil, but towards the end of the book I EXPERIENCED MANY FEELINGS AND LET OUT MANY NOISES OF SUSPENSE, FEAR, HAPPINESS, AND MORE. MY SISTER WAS IN THE SAME ROOM AS I WAS WHEN I FINISHED THE BOOK AND SHE GAVE ME MANY STRANGE LOOKS. OH MY GOSH.

I want there to be a sequellll so bad 😭😭 Like… a YA novel from Will’s perspective… oh my goodness… I would go dizzy with joy if that ends up happening… please… oh my gosh…

NEEDLESS TO SAY this is one of my favorite books probably and I’m going to be thinking about it for a long time :)

Pretty much the only complaint I have is that sometimes the dialogue/inner thoughts of the main character felt unrealistic and unoriginal. This was not the case for the entirety of the book, but there were several sections that I didn’t feel were the best, as far as writing goes (unrealistic dialogue is one of my biggest pet peeves ever lol).

But other than that? Amazing. Absolutely amazing. I hekkin loved this.

for my birthday, i asked my best friend to listen to me give an hour long powerpoint about my favorite groups and she did. and she recently started tutoring one of stray kids’ lawyers!!! how insane is that. she only knew who they were after i taught her about them so i think i deserve a lot of credit

honestly, i don’t really have any online friends. for some reason, i don’t think i was really good at making friends that way?? especially in a setting that’s like a big group message… it was really socially daunting for me even though i liked all the people! i’ve had some individual online friends throughout the years that were so lovely but ya know, things just naturally fade.

my other ult groups are skz and bts, and behind them are nct (specifically 127) and ateez. i also love mont and bnd.

but my new favorite group, who have taken over my brain functioning temporarily, is riize.

2) I don’t know if any of you have read or watched Daisy Jones and the Six. YOU SHOULD. It’s crazy good, I love music documentaries and when the book came out the whole premise was to make this crazy band story using real life references- but anyways this isn’t about shows I love it’s about music.

I love this band because the rock that came after the 60s was so fuckn cool. And this sound and band have such a vibe and that same kinda style- when you’re alone working on stuff, the whole album is fantastic.

3) This one is just fun as fuck. It’s fun to sing in the car where you can scream along. Also this band just looks like it has a blast existing with each other.

spirituality and synchronicities… i think you’ve probably seen my vv long ask by now? and that’s literally just synchronicities with one person. i could draft out all the weird invisible string moments ive had with people and it would honestly span pages (especially in my new course, where literally everyone is connected, some in the weirdest and most unnatural ways ever) and like this might be a little weird but you posted about your friend angelica/angie and like omg its so weird mentioning someone i have no connection to whatsoever but i used to know a girl named jacquelyne (spelt differently from your name, but still) and her middle name was angelica so like ?? even that is something vv notable i think and like… the thing about thoughts coming true? i completely get what you mean. i think ive always had more spiritual experiences as a child but during my school transition break i worked part time at this retail place where i would experiment with manifestation for fun and it would always happen?? like id manifest compliments for very specific things, or very specific free food items, or even customers pushing to give me money for specific reasons (i couldnt accept it but i did it just because i could) and that’s just like… the tip of the iceberg…

anyway i realised that we all manifest in completely different ways and i realised mine is most prominent with words or speech or thoughts so ive become so unbelievably mindful of the things i say and do so i completely understand and relate to your cases of unintentional manifestation!! like thats the way mine used to always play out before i started becoming super intentional with what i did (and maybe this is very extreme but manifesting is instant and like once you really build your faith in it you’ll realise things can happen instantly or overnight… i won’t say anything too specific but you could literally wake up with changes to basically anything and everything you desire so 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️)

omg jacquelyne and angelica ?!?! that's so 😦 and like it's not surprising that someone somewhere has those two names but the fact that u knew her!!! alsoooo the more i think about it, im like... remembering and realizing more stuff..... i had this thing where after school when i was like ages 11-13, i would always go straight home and put on nickelodeon because starting from 16:35, they always showed one ep of victorious, big time rush, and icarly (idk what order but u get me). and i had this thing where i could sense what episode of the shows that would play..... either i had a dream about it, or i just felt "hm i would love if this specific episode came on today", or i would be blasting "worldwide" by big time rush in my headphones all day because my crush was transferring to another school and then which ep came on?? the ep with worldwide 😶 (yes 11-year-old jack learned about heartbreak early) idk if any of that made any sense to you LMAO but the point is i used to know what episodes would be on and i got it right several times every week... and no one in my life has believed this when ive told them but its true 😭 and it used to just be a thing i joked about but im realizing that like......... it's kinda odd (in a cool way)

I think Sena's voice has really improved over the years but yeah she was really young and inexperienced in Stars, I like her singing but it was definitely a little rough

Ahhh I actually really like Raki... I understand people dislking her 100000% because she DID like. Personally design her own Jeweling rare which is supposed to be purely made from magic, not designed by anyone, she designed her own star wings which can only be gifted by the system, same with the wings for her zodiac coord like Ichigo gen. So it's not just that she took most of her inspo from existing coords, she just kind of broke all the rules somehow and nobody in-show was like THATS IMPOSSIBLE????

But Idk I like her! I love her design, her voice actor (also voiced Wakaba) is great, I honestly wish she got more songs. I think it just made sense for her to be there. Even if Parade was just meant to get excitement + money back up for Planet's release, there was some love put into it for people who grew up with the series, and everyone kind of takes care of Raki. She's an excited kid obsessed with the idea of Aikatsu in general and tbh I see myself when I was like 13 diving into all of it, she's like a representation for new and old fans that just love it and want to be a part of it. She wasn't supposed to be a super fleshed out character, just kind of a tour guide along the show

I love that kids still write letters about shows, I also follow Super Sentai and every so often the staff mentions kids keep writing to them asking them to redeem the villains because they like the actors too much LOL

Hinaki & Yume's voice actors actually had a unit irl too for a little bit, Min☆na, they've disbanded now and the song's werent my vibe but good for them!!

DONT BUY THE AIKATSU GAMES ITS SO EXPENSIVE + THEYRE REGION LOCKED. You can play them on a PC on Citra though, and if you turn up the graphics quality it looks sol so much better than on a console- basically like you're playing the akari gen DCD!

I have all of them! Only 2 are worth playing imo, most don't have many songs or coords but these are powerhouses

Aikatsu! My No. 1 Stage features every single Ichigo/Akari gen song up till the last like 15, stages and dances included, it's crazy. It had a good amount of coords for most brands, only a couple for dolly devil and mecha panic but there's a lot of fun mix and match stuff you can do! The dressup system is the same as the arcade game so you can swap PRs and everything.

The gameplay is really simple, short visual novel-style stories to unlock songs, play songs to unlock coord cards. The outfits you use do effect special appeals too!! I play it sometimes, but mostly I mess around with outfits in MV mode and just watch

The other game is Aikatsu Stars! My Special Appeal. This is the only stars game sadly, and it doesn't have a lot of songs, but there's a few cute new animations in the mvs (i.e. in tsu•ba•sa, you can't have just one character, so before the song starts your two backup dancers help you out of the throne, idk its just cute)

It does have 1,000 outfit pieces though...! A lot of the brandless coords were included this time. No berry parfait, but all the other brands before it are included (one PR per brand) and nobody from venus ark (😭) but it looks nice and again, it's fun to play with outfits!

The gameplay is the same as the other game. And in this one you get to make your own character with a few customization options for hair & eyes!

Honestly, I don't think playing to get all the coords is worth it, it really takes a long time and you're just repeating the same thing over and over to get it (and usually get duplicate pieces which don't do anything)

I have a save file for each game, with all songs & coords unlocked though! If you're interested in trying either of them I can send those too with the roms (And if you haven't used citra I don't mind explaining how to add the saves!)

Yeah I’ve seen the figures before and they’re always ridiculously expensive and I’m like ‘oh come on I’m broke and want to be an idol here’ plus they didn’t even have the coords which is like the best part??? Come on???

I think I like ( while knowing very little about Parade) seeing Raki more as a superfan/vehicle for idol display rather than a full fleshed character, although I really wish she didn’t just straight up break the aikatsu system. I saw her star wings outfit and was definitely confused by why the wings were on her in her whole performance. If anything, she should have gotten them when she made her true PR and actually debuted her brand. I do think her va’s origin is super cute though!

Unfortunately I have never used Citra before and am very new to emulators (I’ve used melonDS like three times maybe) so I would definitely need help with whatever rom stuff you’re mentioning lol, I am not good with that stuff at all. I’m not too bad at rhythm games, though, so I think it would be really fun to try the games out! Maybe that’ll be better than trying to teach myself Idol Activity from the stage videos on YouTube lol!
