This is maybe a bit of a hot take, but... If you want people to share information about important issues and reblog posts about said important issues, don’t guilt trip them into doing it by saying they are a bad person if they don’t reblog it. That just pisses people off. When I see an issue that has that, even if it is something I think is important and would reblog, I will actually use xkit to block the post in entirety because I do NOT appreciate being guilt tripped into reblogging something. You could just... say it’s important and to please reblog without insinuating that anybody scrolling past is a piece of shit. Just ask people nicely to reblog a thing. Don’t guilt trip. It’s not cool.

The whole concept here is that something was happening at the moment, be it how they were laying in bed, how the hair pooled over the pillow, or how sokka was able to hold onto it. It just brought sokka back. It triggered a memory, and suddenly he relived a brief memory. Making him suddenly miss his mother again. hope you enjoy!

What are the chances the Obey Me demons natively speak human languages? Like, they can probably speak whatever human tongue they want to with a bit of hard work (studying?) and magic, but is there a demon language?

If MC keeps hearing all kinds of gutteral snarls and shrieks from the denizens of the Devildom (their classmates, shopkeepers, random folks on the street), they're clearly going to start noticing patterns. Naturally noticing that demons tend to make the same deep vocalization when they're excited, or chatter their teeth in a specific way when they're thinking hard, or make a high-pitched howl when something is especially funny. Certain syllables are always brought up in conversation with certain objects. Through this, MC can slowly pick up bits and pieces of the demonic language.

You might be out with Lucifer and Mammon one day shopping when you unfortunately drop something and decide to growl the same phrase you've heard other demons make hundreds of times. Lucifer and Mammon both freeze. They look at you, then to each other as if to say, "Did you hear that?" Then their focus goes back to you.

If they hadn't been so synchronized, Lucifer would've suspected Mammon and tied him up for polluting the exchange student's vocabulary with demon swears. Luckily, they both ask, "Who taught you that?" at the same time.

Lucifer looks concerned, he doesnt know how to react. He didn't even know humans were capable of mimicking those sounds. He crosses his arms, conflicted. Your accent could use some work, but the word itself was perfectly understandable. He's very proud, but also mad and would surely find something to lecture you over later.

Mammon looks thrilled, like he hit the jackpot. The situation is hilarious. He tries to tone it down so as not to draw Lucifer's ire, but he's grinning and brimming with curiosity. That's his human! What else did you know how to say? Does this mean he doesn't have to watch his language around you anymore?

Clockwork would openly admit that he couldn’t see Danny’s timelines. Not since the moment he stepped into that portal and became something more. A child of Infinity, of the very Realms itself. 

But he’ll also admit that it always meant that the child surprised him all the time. This just happened to be a startling surprise, and an admittedly amusing one, even if Danny was openly complaining about the situation. 

“It’s not fair! You have to be able to fix this, right? Right?!” the ghostling, quite literally now, practically yanked at his cloak. “Clockwork, I was going to graduate, I can’t be two! Please, you’re the master of Time, you can fix this right!?” 

No, no he could not, seeing as young Daniel was in fact, immune to timeline machinations, doubly so for his own. To the ghostling’s open distress, which he did his best to soothe. What he could do instead, was stop time in his home dimension, and instead let him age back up again. 

Which the young halfa wasn’t happy about, but it was the best thing they had, so Clockwork supposed he had a ghostling now. A tiny adorable ghostling who kept pouting each time his much younger body had any sort of effect on his behavior. 

He’d never exactly had a ghostling before, nevermind one who was part human, but he would admit he honestly was enjoying it. Most time was spent alone, something he hadn’t realized until Danny ended up crashing into his unlife. 

Honestly he would openly admit that he absolutely adored his little ghostling. Who was now around four, at least physically, and had gotten into the adorable habit of curling up in the pendulum in his chest. Which was honestly the safest spot in Long Now, he’d admit. 

The singular issue however, with this habit, was that when someone attempted to summon him, they got his ghostling as well. And well, normally he could very much control himself for these summonings that happened every few hundred or so years, but well. There was a reason why even the Observants had stopped popping in the moment they realized he had a ghostling. 

Nesting ghosts do not mess around should they feel one is messing with their very vulnerable child, and really it’s not his fault the mortal cultists woke up and startled Danny. Perhaps deleting them from the timeline was a bit too far, if the other mortals rapid paling was to go by, but oh well.

I’ll never forget when I was arguing with a person in favor of total prison abolition and I asked them “what about violent offenders?” And they said “Well, in a world where prisons have been abolished, we’ll have leveled the playing field and everyone will have their basic needs met, and crime won’t be as much of an issue.” And then I was like “okay. But…no. Because rich people also rape and murder, so it isn’t just a poor person thing. So what will we do about that?” And I don’t think they answered me after that. I’m ashamed to say I continued to think that the problem was that I simply didn’t understand prison abolitionists enough and that their point was right in front of me, and it would click once I finally let myself understand it. It took me a long time to realize that if something is going to make sense, it needs to make sense. If you want to turn theory into Praxis (I’m using that word right don’t correct me I’ll vomit) everyone needs to be on board, which mean it all needs to click and it needs to click fast and fucking clear. You need to turn a complex idea into something both digestible and flexible enough to be expanded upon. Every time I ask a prison abolitionist what they actually intend to do about violent crime, I get directed to a summer reading list and a BreadTuber. It’s like a sleight-of-hand trick. Where’s the answer to my question. There it is. No wait, there it is. It’s under this cup. No it isn’t. “There’s theory that can explain this better than I can.” As if most theory isn’t just a collection of essays meant to be absorbed and discussed by academics, not the average skeptic. “Read this book.” And the book won’t even answer the question. The book tells you to go ask someone else. “Oh, watch this so-and-so, she totally explains it better than me.” Why can’t you explain it at all? Why did you even bring it up if you were going to point me to someone else to give me the basics that you should probably already know? Maybe I’m just one of those crazy people who thinks that some people need to be kept away from the public for everyone’s good. Maybe that just makes me insane. Maybe not believing that pervasive systemic misogyny could be solved with a UBI and a prayer circle makes me a bad guy. But it’s not like women’s safety is a priority anyway. It’s not like there is an objective claim to be made that re-releasing violent offenders or simply not locking them up is deadly.
