#justice for brianna ghey
Seriously though, fuck terfs and radfems who double down on their bullshit and tell other trans people that they're "using the murder of a child" to "further their own agenda", like really Becky?
When we get mad at the abhorrent murder of our own community and try to spread awareness, you tell us that we're disgusting pigs twisting the death of someone into an argument for our benefit, (protecting trans people. How evil, right?) while you pretend to remain ignorant to the fact that YOUR IDEAOLOGY is KILLING CHILDREN ALL OVER THE WORLD.
Make no mistake, they know that accusing us of that makes no sense, but it's the only way for them to argue their way out of being part of a movement that tells others to kill trans people.
They are cowardly hypocrits who need to twist reality to justify their hatred. They will try to gaslight people and shift blame any way they can.

An Update on Brianna Ghey
tw // extreme transphobia, hate crime, violent death, death of a child
Tumblr media
If you're unfamiliar with Brianna Ghey, you can read up on the story here or watch this overview. There's been multiple updates, and I wanted to let people know about the most important ones.
On February 4th 2024, the two originally unnamed teenagers— the 16-year-old boy now identified as Eddie Ratcliffe, and 16-year-old girl now identified as Scarlett Jenkinson —have been sentenced to life in prison for the fatal stabbing of Brianna (x).
On the day of her murder, February 11th 2023, Brianna took the No 28 bus at around 2pm to meet up with Jenkinson (who brought Ratcliffe along without Brianna's knowledge). The two led her to a path on Culcheth Linear Park, where she was stabbed to death with a hunting knife (x) that Ratcliffe provided. Although both parties would later blame the other in court, it's important to note that Ratcliffe was the only one with blood found on his clothes. Brianna was stabbed a total of 28 times in her head, neck, chest, and back (x). Not long after, Jenkinson posted this to her snapchat account.
Her murder was premeditated weeks in advance (x), with the pair plotting their attack against Brianna (x), who was anxious and rarely went out alone. They'd previously attempted to kill her before, although those plans ended up failing (x).
Prior to her murder, she'd sent a message to her mother saying "I'm on the bus by myself. I'm scared." To which her mother had replied that she was proud of her attempt at going out alone. Unfortunately, Brianna never got to read that text.
Thousands of text messages have leaked from the two killers, where Ratcliffe misgenders and demeans Brianna, and Jenkinson details her obsession with Brianna.
➡ When Jenkinson sent Ratcliffe some selfies of Brianna, he replied, "Is it a femboy or a tranny?"
➡ After Jenkinson expressed that she thought Brianna was prettier than her, Ratcliffe had said, "Prettier but it's a boy."
➡ Jenkinson had texted him on Whatsapp, "I'm obsessed over someone I know but don't have feelings for them... She's called Brianna... I don't know how to explain. She looks like a girl, she sounds like a girl, she's really pretty." To which Ratcliffe replied, "Tell me what you feel when you interact with it. I don't think you're necessarily in love but I think you're more curious and intrigued by its unnatural nature." (x)
➡ After their initial attempt to kill a different student failed, Jenkinson suggested that they stab Brianna instead. Ratcliffe agreed, saying "Yeah, it'll be easier and I want to see if it will scream like a man or girl."
➡ Jenkinson discussed wanting to take Brianna's "pretty" eyes as trophies, and Ratcliffe said "Really all I want to see is what size dick it had."
➡ During the trial, when asked by the prosecutor why he used the terms "it" instead of "she" for Brianna, he said that it was a "joke" and that he had picked it up from other people.
Despite all of this, Cheshire police are still adamant that Brianna's murder was not motivated by transphobia (x), because "...If it hadn't been Brianna, it would have been one of the other four children on that list." This is further corroborated by Detective Inspector Nigel Parr of Cheshire Constabulary, who led the investigation. Outside the court, he claimed that "this was a senseless murder committed by two teenagers who had an obsession with murder, whose only motivation in killing Brianna was to experience what this would be like." (x)
The headteacher of Birchwood Community High School has claimed that she spoke to Brianna's mom who "confirmed that Brianna was not bullied at Birchwood and always felt well supported by the school," and that Brianna's mother had given her permission to share that (x). This is despite multiple of Brianna's friends, and Brianna herself (x), saying the opposite (x).
The two killers are eligible for parole in 20 and 22 years. I can only hope they atone for the harm they've caused Brianna's family, the trans community, and everyone else affected.
I hope one day we can live in a world where being trans isn't a death sentence. Where major news outlets can report on trans victims with respect (x). Where anti-trans hatred spewed by TERFs and radfems, right wing politicians and conservative talk show hosts no longer hold such an influence in the world.
We will be able to live as ourselves one day. Without fear. I just wish Brianna could be here to see it.

I'm not usually serious on my blog, but I need to vent.
With so many trans kids getting killed and the media being as dogshit as usual, it worries me about mine and others safety. I'm not openly trans. My town is pretty okay. pretty pro-LGBT...but nobody ever knows. Anyone could get murdered for being who they are. And that scares me. I'm scared to come out, scared to be open... Hell, I'm even scared to talk to my therapist about shit like this because I'm worried my father will somehow find out. I'm scared to do anything. Go out in public, walk to school, walk home, even go out with friends. And speaking of. My friends are all worried for their lives. All of us, thinking of ending it all. Right here, right now, on our own terms. All because of shitty people with shitty beliefs, all thinking that because we're different, we're a threat.
This shit has to stop
This isn't 'kids being kids'
This is murder.
We need to stop murdering people because they're different.
Justice for Nex Benedict.
Justice for Brianna Ghey.
Justice for Jacob Williamson
May they all rest in power. And may their murderers never know peace.

Brianna Ghey was a sixteen-year-old trans girl who was killed in England last week. Two kids, male 15 and female 15, fatally stabbed her in a park and the police are claiming it wasn't a hate crime.
There are vigils being held across the country, as well as an amazing attempt to obtain her a posthumous GRC, as she can be remembered in death as she was. UK law says no one under the age of eighteen years may be granted a GRC and they are, unfortunately, sticking to that despite efforts made.
The police don't care, they are attempting to rule her death as the "murder of a young man". The Major Media and news outlets don't care, in fact they are openly misgendering and deadnaming her. They are choosing to print that she was "living as a girl" not the truth in that she was a girl.
Brianna's friends have said the police have done nothing to help the constant bullying she endured while she was alive.
(please inform me if any of this information is incorrect, thank you)

I’m so fed up of the TERFs commenting on posts and purposefully misgendering people. They won’t even give Brianna the dignity she deserves. In death she is only “male” or “he” or “a boy” and they say such awful things about her. She was a fucking human being. She was a young girl who lost her life. Don’t you Fucking dare push your transphobic bullshit by deadnaming and misgendering her. Especially now.

This young woman is Brianna Ghey. She was only 16 when she was murdered. She was a killed because she was trans. She was bullied in school for being trans. She had her whole life ahead of her. People have found her deadname and is spreading it around. She was a fucking child that got murdered. And people use it spread transphobia. Those people are sick monsters and deserve to rot.
I'm so sorry, Brianna that you'll live to see trans liberation or feel the joy of starting hrt. I'm so sorry your life was taken from you because of hate when you deserve nothing but love. I'm so sorry Brianna, but rest easy now. Rest in power, Brianna, we'll fight for justice for you.
Donate if you can to help support her family.

Tw: Death mentioned, transphobia
I'm literally disgusted by people, and everyday I'm disgusted a little more, and more.
They're making jokes of her death, they're misgendering her, they're fucking happy because someone literally died. Only because she was a trans woman.
How much hate can human beings carry in their bodies? IT'S SO FUCKING SICK. It's absolutely SICK AND AWFUL IN SO MANY WAYS.
She deserved so much better.
Every person who died due to hate, deserved better.
There's no other explanation for what happened than hate, and they can't even say it loudly.
As a trans person, it hit me so hard in my heart, she was around my age. And they killed her. How am I supposed to feel safe? How anyone is supposed to feel safe in this shitty, cruel world?
Brianna Ghey, please remember her, spread the words about her, she won't be forgotten.

Jesus Christ what is wrong with society. Brianna Ghey was 16 years old, stabbed to death in a park and the police and media had the gall to not only say “oh we don’t have a motive” and explicitly exclude the information that she was trans. They know goddamn well what the motive was and the UK already has a well formed pattern that any hate crimes against trans and lgbtq people go under the radar until they can find something, anything they can to vilify us. We should not have to fight for the basic right to exist.
We should not have to fear on a daily basis of being killed because some asshat out there fears what’s different. We deserve to live our lives in peace. That child deserved to live her life in peace. There will be vigils held in the UK in Brianna’s honor, may she rest in power and peace. I’m too damn tired right now.

Buckle up- Evan is getting political:
Have you heard of LgbwithouttheT? No? It's a movement that has gained popularity recently. Essentially it is based on the premise that the lgbtqia+ community being "ruined" or "invaded" by the trans community- because, of course, trans people don't exist? right? no because the 162 anti-trans bills introduced in 2022 (according to a Washington Post article published October 14th 2022) are all a joke?
Did you know there is a Wikipedia page titled Transgender genocide ? Or another List of people killed for being transgender ? Well, I'm afraid now you have no excuse to turn a blind eye. Maybe we're not front page news stories all of the time, but we're still in stage seven of genocide. And did you know there was ten stages of genocide? I didn't. Not until I had to search it up, unwillingly showing myself just how far some governments have gone to persecute something they simply do not understand and are not willing to understand.
Do you know how many anti trans billed have been introduced since the beginning of 2023? Three hundred and eighty five. In three months. Seven have been passed. That is compared to last years one hundred and sixty two introduced and nineteen passes. Before that, 2021, one hundred and twenty one introduced, fourteen passed. This is a massive incline from 2018 where eighteen were introduced across the twelve month period, and a single one passed. (All information from this article by Ella Caron for Bloomburg)
“These bills represent an effort to purge transgender people from the law and from public life,” said Gillian Branstetter, a communications strategist at the ACLU. “Even if only ten percent of those bills become law, it represents a massive rollback of freedoms every person deserves."
(Quote taken directly from Bloomburg article, linked above.)
These bills range from a ban of using correct bathrooms, healthcare and generally the removal transgender rights is being instigated. Notably, any form of drag performance or "Adult Cabaret Performances" as is specifically restricted, has been banned in Tennessee, one of their two anti-trans bills passed so far this year. Passed in three months.
The majority of these bills are being passes in America, The United States to be specific, but that far from means that anywhere else is "safe" or "out of danger". In 2014 at least one trans person was reported dead (Killed) every 27 hours in Brazil (Transgender Genocide article, Wikipedia). Just a few weeks ago Brianna Ghey, a sixteen year old trans girl, was murdered in England by two people, male 15 and female 15, in an area she knew and felt comfortable in. Before this, the police did nothing to help the constant bullying she endured at school. To make matters infinitely worse, even after death newspapers and reporters have deadnamed and misgendered her. The government wouldn't even grant her a posthumous GRC so she can be remembered in death as she was.
Did you know that Wikipedia's List of people killed for being transgender, isn't nearly complete?

One of our siblings was murdered recently, and you need to know about it.
TW // transphobia and violence against trans people
Brianna Ghey was a 16-year-old trans girl from Warrington, England. On Saturday, February 11th 2023, Brianna was found dead on the side of a park with multiple stab wounds. Two 15-year-olds have been taken into custody in connection with her murder.
Tumblr media
People in the Warrington area have alleged that Brianna was being bullied in school, and that neither the administration nor the police did anything.
Despite this, local police have said there is no evidence that the attack was hate-based and most news articles don't mention her status as a trans woman. This is deliberate. This is genocide by the hands of transphobes and TERFs.
Britain does not have gender self-identification (your legal gender being determined by how you identify and not any arbitrary medical requirements), meaning even in her death she will be deadnamed and misgendered on her death certificate.
She deserved so much better.
Mourn the dead, and fight like hell for the living.
EDIT: A verified GoFundMe has been set up for Brianna.
