Like, aside from when your team sleeps in the four beds grouped together, how obnoxious do you think sleeping arrangements at the Elfsong are?
Karlach and Gale share a short wall. Do you think she waits until he's just drifting off to sleep and then makes some commit akin to the "tell him I haven't read a book since primary school" just to watch him get all riled?
Does Lae'zel throw her pillows at Karlach to make her stop so they can all get some sleep? Does Astarion then jump in while Karlach smothers her laughter with Lae'zel's pillow?
Does Minsc badger Jaheira to tell Boo a bedtime story, and their endless bickering keep the others up until Wyll is fed up enough to offer to tell a story. Which Minsc then declines because Jaheira has better stories, according to Boo of course.
Does Wyll pretend not to be affronted and while mumbling that his stories are just as good while Shadowheart giggles into her hands.
Does Halsin snore?
Does Minsc? DOES BOO?

Which BG3 Characters The Life Is Strange Crew Would Romance (In My Opinion)
Max - Karlach (The "I must save you from death" complex would get to her again. But on a serious note, I think she'd love Karlach from the second she meets her.)
Chloe - Shadowheart or Lae'zel (This is a hard one because I feel like Chloe would be like "OOOGGGHH WOMEN." about every single female romance option.)
Kate - Wyll (I feel like she'd be really put off by the demon thing and not romance anyone on a first playthrough, but if she gave Wyll a chance she'd absolutely love him.)
Warren - Shadowheart
Rachel - Lae'zel (I feel like she'd romance Shadowheart on a first run, but then she'd play Lae'zel's story later and be won over by: The dragon's, the sunset scene, and Lae'zel's loyalty. Plus, I feel like she'd have strong emotions about the "You have sinned against me," scene and relate it to her family situation.)
Mikey - Gale (We know he likes wizard's, and Gale hits a lot of classic wizard tropes.)
Sean - Astarion (However, I feel like he'd romance Alfira if given the option.)
Finn - Shadowheart or Astarion
Cassidy - Halsin
Alex - Gale (Both of her canon love interests are kind of nerdy, so I feel like Gale would win her over.)
Steph - Karlach (I feel like she'd also like Minthara's "ride or die" romance, but she'd never betray the tieflings to find that out.)
Ryan - Karlach

Been playing BG3 and it's got me thinking about the Batfam, and their classes. So here we go:
Bruce: Fighter, battlemaster with proficiency in investigation and perception.
Dick: Rogue, Thief or Arcane Trickster. Very much an elusive shadow.
Jason: an oath of vengeance Paladin. You could argue Barbarian, but let's be real here.
Tim: college of lore bard. This kid has too many proficiencies, too much luck and there's a reason he gains enemies like a DM gets aneurysms.
Damian: initially he's a gnoll. After character development he's like his dad.
Barbara: divination wizard or lore bard. She knows all. She knows what you will do. And she can cite the references.
Cass: Way of Mercy Monk. And unfortunately, she has rolled very high. You're doomed.
Steph: multiclass fighter and bard. She can throw a punch and work out what makes you cry.
Duke: Light Cleric. And he did not get a lecture on pacifism.
Harper Row: Artificer. Except where she could have developed other tech, it's mostly stuff that sparks.
Cullen Row: Arcane Trickster. All his skills are based on evasion. He doesn't hit hard but you won't hit him.
Alfred: Cleric of Helm. He's a stalwart guardian and protects the home. He doesn't venture beyond that but woe betide anyone who crosses his threshold in threat.
Kate: Fighter, duelist. Kate is aggressive but it's honed in a way Bruce isn't. Callous and detached but graceful.
Extra:
Jim Gordon: Warlock, his Patron is Gotham. He's kept fuelled by the city. His pact is that he can solve all cases but every case he solves spawns more.
Bernard: Lore Bard. A perfect mirror to Tim. Whereas Tim specialised into investigation, perception and sleight of hand, Bernard went for Arcana, Nature and Insight. He may have some out there ideas but don't think that means he isn't switched on.

Do you have any other DnD or BG3 ocs?
So I'm 99% a DM/GM these days! I technically have hundreds of OCs across all the games I've run, D&D or otherwise, but I know what you mean. Other than Asheera, I don't have many characters that I focus on for myself/for games. Lately, an advisor for a duke has been showing up in all of my games, and whenever he's there all of my players groan and instantly hate him so bad. Why would they despise him? He's friendly, he pays handsomely when they do something for him, and he's always good for it. So why the hate? Well, he stole a copper from each of them one time. In another game with unrelated characters.
He did pay them in counterfeit coins a couple sessions ago, but we ignore that. Hugh is a very nice lad, I promise.
But if I describe "a handsome man with clear complexion, a short beard that's well-cropped, and dark hair whose smile is naturally alluring" they all fucking hate him. I love Hugh (named after, and played like an incredibly awful antagonist from a fantasy series by Kate Elliott)
For BG3, I've got Violetta for the Trans Shadowheart AU. She's technically a Spelljammer NPC that's been rewritten to fit in BG3 better, but she's a half-drow cleric of Ilmater and she's a lil softie with secrets of her own that neither the readers nor Shadowheart have yet to notice. I haven't played her in game yet, but my two playthroughs were kinda very similar. The second character I made was not worth expanding on in fic lol.

last song: The Ballet Girl by Aden Foyer
fave colour: I don't have one/like most of them
currently watching: nothing, I just watch a trailer, add the thing to my list and forget about it. You know how it is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
last movie: I think it was the last Indiana Jones
currently reading: The Secret River by Kate Grenville
sweet/savoury/spicy: savoury (I used to think older people were being dramatic when they complained about things being 'too sweet'... but now I'm in my thirties I'm just as bad)
relationship status: single
current obsession: work+uni+saving up for a computer so I can play BG3 (now, just because I obsess over something doesn't mean I actually get much done about it... but I think about it. A bit too much, in fact. Not saying I have fics written about a game I don't even play but... well.)
last google search: New Perspectives on Gender in Translation
currently working on: well there's a number of things I SHOULD be working on right now, but I'm here instead, so.... make of that what you will ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

⋆ NAME?: Ele
⋆ PRONOUNS?: She/her
⋆ MOST ACTIVE MUSE(S)?: my oc Emma (started in 2012! can you be more active than that lol), Jenny, Stella, whenever I get Lost replies for her Kate. Lex would be high-activity too if I was just a little less insecure about how to make plots fun for others
⋆ RP PET PEEVES?: I have too many, I'm awful like that lol I don't know if I can call it a pet peeve but: people following me back and then never responding to my attempts to write or plot, which I'm guessing is connected to the other one that is 'not reading my rules/about BEFORE following which makes things awkward'; non mutuals trying to rp; posting pretty much only about your personal life and not rping (at that point just make a personal); immediately dropping all starters and threads SEVERAL times while I keep writing them (it can happen, but if it's always happening you can count on me losing interest)
⋆ EXPERIENCE / HOW MANY YEARS?: I started with Emma in 2012!
⋆ FLUFF, ANGST, OR SMUT?: fluff and angst as long as angst isn't the endgame, I need that final fluff! but it can only be GOOD if it's earned through angst!
⋆ PLOTS OR MEMES?: both, honestly, with plots in any case I'm character-driven so I can only plot big events happening, not reactions.
⋆ LONG OR SHORT REPLIES?: I try to hold back but end up writing LONG ones and then I cry because I'm too tired to write long replies but I must write them all in one go lol
⋆ TIME TO WRITE?: whenever my arms work AND I don't feel guilty because I have studied, so it's a very small window, but usually night.
⋆ ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S)?: god I wish. Putting aside my physical health, I wish I had their confidence lol I do add some random traits of myself in some because hey, I'm a person, I can be an example, but I'd never write me because I'd spend my days writing and playing videogames, no adventures whatsoever, just lazy relax and comforts! I do try to think like them sometimes, when faced with anxiety (what would Emma do?). When it comes to Lex (BG3) I wish I cared that little about other people's opinions but I definitely use humor a lot AND nobody in high school would have ever guessed how much I enjoyed studying lol but she's also secretly a thug and I don't even break rules.
tagging: anything and anyone, and tag me back if you see this! I want to read!

2023 Year in Review/Writing and Hobby Goals 2024
Another end of a year, beginning of another. My greatest achievement this year was buying a duplex! Other than a pipe leak that the house greeted me with my first few weeks in, this place is perfect for me. Though future renovations have to wait til I save more up again, I'm more than content with this home and this space I can truly call mine.
Physical/mental health wise, it's been up and down. While changing jobs last year has overall been for the better for managing my anxiety, the last few months of the year triggered anxiety spikes again (things building and building on top of each other, both internally-caused and job-caused; still so easy for me to just push it down and not deal with the negative feelings in a healthy, accepting way). I finally thought I'd gotten my sleep back in a better, regular pattern during the summer, but then it slid back again in the fall. My migraines continue to pop up, my stomach has become more sensitive, and my weight more of a concern especially on my back and knees, all of which is frustrating to deal with, but at least nothing major or any medical emergencies this year (though this was the year Covid finally got me, whee!). I'm hoping with some health/diet changes I'm making, and exercises that I'll be doing, that that will help.
Writing wise, I posted 14,662 words, with between 8,000 - 10,000 words on unposted works, so just about at my 25,000 word goal. Most of which is for the game that came out of my left field for me and grabbed me by my fandom feels, Baldur's Gate 3. Writing for my two playthrough OCs, Tav (my high Elf Bard) and Sienna (Drow resisting Durge) and Gale of Waterdeep, has been such a joy and comfort (especially during my anxiety spikes), that I haven't felt since Ellana and Blackwall and Shepard and Garrus. I felt the ease and creative drive to write again because of BG3 and the Gale romance and I couldn't be more grateful for it. In total, I posted four ficlets for Tav/Gale, two Ellana/Blackwall ficlets (1, 2), and one Jane/Garrus ficlet (1). While I did work a bit more on re-outlining and planning my original fiction, the next year will likely be the year of Baldur's Gate 3 and My Time at Sandrock fics.
I met my reading goal of 20 new books at exactly 20 (technically I read 21 but it was one I'd read before, Inkheart). Favorites included the The Radium Girls (Kate Moore), The Inheritance of Orquídea Divina (Zoraida Córdova), She Who Became the Sun (Shelley Parker-Chan), A Forgery of Roses (Jessica Olson), and River of the Gods (Candice Millard). And of course, we have more T. Kingfisher with Illuminations and Paladin's Grace.
I did complete a few games from my 2023 list, A Plague Tale - Requiem (loved) and Borderlands - The PreSequel as well as continuous My Time at Sandrock and Disney Dreamlight Valley play. While I did play many a remastered version of games I hadn't yet played such as BTPS, the Metro series, and Uncharted - The Lost Legacy, it was also the year of surprises. Baldur's Gate 3 I vaguely knew about before its full release, but has now become my newest gaming obsession. Indie games such as Pentiment, Escape Academy, Beacon Pines, Dorf Romantik, Jenny LeClue, Wayhaven Chronicles Book III, and Stray Gods were also ones I very much enjoyed. And of course, how can I forgot the relaxing power of PowerWash Simulator (though there's a very good chance the town of Muckingham will be reclaimed by nature at some point :P). And that's nothing to say of the games I have in progress that have engaged me, namely Cyberpunk 2077 and I Was a Teenage Exocolonist.
Now on to my primary writing and hobby goals for 2024!
2024 Primary Writing Goals:
25,000 words
Tav (Bard High Elf)/Gale and Sienna (Drow resisting Durge)/Gale ficlets (Baldur's Gate 3)
Builder/Owen (My Time at Sandrock) ficlets
A Surprise Visit (post My Time in Portia main quest; Builder/Aadit)
Inheritance (original fiction planned trilogy)
2024 Primary Hobby Goals:
Books:
Read at least 20 new books, with focus on fantasy and non-fiction
Play the following games:
Continue playing and finishing Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty
Continue playing and finishing I Was A Teenage Exocolonist
Horizon Zero Dawn and Horizon Forbidden West, Ghost of Tsushima, and Life is Strange - True Colors (this will finally be the year for these!)
Syberia series (1-3, The World Before)
Continue playing/re-playing My Time at Sandrock, Disney Dreamlight Valley, Dysmantle, and Baldur's Gate 3
Other hobbies:
Nature photography
Puzzles and puzzle books
Music and video editing
Music (flute, guitar, and piano)
Besides joy in the little things, I'm planning to find towns or places I can go to in a day drive's distance throughout the year. And to continue practicing kindness towards myself as well as others <3

Me, when I first got BG3: I don't know, I'm just not feeling it. Not a fan of the combat, and it's just not what I hoped for?
Me, on my 2nd playthrough with 230 hours logged: I like it a normal amount.

Where is somewhere you'd like to visit?
What's a totally random and useless fact that you know?
oop def got distracted playing bg3 last night and forgot about this ask game.
5 Female celebrity crushes
in no particular order: Rhea Ripley, Zendaya, Ayo Edebiri, Florence Pugh, Kate Siegel
Where is somewhere you'd like to visit?
i would loooooove to go do the LOTR tour in New Zealand!!!! mr. politemagic and i are hoping to be able to do that as an anniversary trip one day.
What's a totally random and useless fact that you know?
not necessarily a fact, more a range of knowledge, but when i was in college i did a completely useless deep dive into these "Nutrition" places i was seeing pop up everywhere. they're all like "[CITY NAME] Nutrition" "Peace Love Nutrition" etc. a lot of people i knew were OBSESSED with the "loaded teas" that they sold and i was curious as to what it actually was. it's basically a storefront MLM (borderline pyramid scheme) for the company Herbalife. i know way too much about these stores.
thank you for the ask my darling <3 ask game

Spoilers for a main quest in Act 3.
I love BG3:
I was doing the Iron Throne mission, had Wyll, Shadowheart, and Astarion with me (this is my Astarion romance).
Everyone was hastened, I got to Omeluum with Astarion and my Tav. Had Omeluum BAMF himself and Astarion back. Sent Shadowheart to meet my Tav so they could dimension door back and they were right next to each other in turn order.
GOT BONED picking the lock on the door between where the Gondions are held and the hall with the door to where Omeluum is.
Ended up getting them both to the bottom ladder, but then the whole place blew.
Astarion was top of the order and it switches to him, and it's all sad tense looks with Ravengard.
So I'm screaming at @cursedwithgloriouspurpose asking if Withers can resurrect me, and she thought it would be like endgame. But it keeps going!
Then once the sub is docked it cuts to my Tav and Shadowheart washed up on the shore, dead.
So Astarion and Wyll took a little trip and two revivify scrolls later, everyone is fine.
The best part, for me, is that NO ONE COMMENTS ON THIS? Just la-di-da let's talk to Wyll's dad about stuff.
But anyway I need angsty fic now so I guess I gotta write that.
