The eternal martyr Basil Al-Araj wrote abundantly before his ascension in March of 2017. In his posthumously published book, "I Have Found My Answers," (a line from his will) he spoke of war during the 2014 zionist aggression on Gaza, just prior to the IOF ground invasion on July 17.
Basil guided us with eight rules and insights on the nature of war. He wrote:
Since there is talk of a ground operation, several points must be considered:
1. The Palestinian resistance consists of guerrilla formations whose strategies follow the logic of guerrilla warfare or hybrid warfare, which Arabs and Muslims have become masters of through our experiences in Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebanon, and Gaza. War is never based on the logic of conventional wars and the defense of fixed points and borders; on the contrary, you draw the enemy into an ambush. You do not stick to a fixed position to defend it; instead, you perform maneuvers, movement, withdrawal, and attack from the flanks and the rear. So, never measure it against conventional wars.
2. The enemy will spread photos and videos of their invasion into Gaza, occupation of residential buildings, or presence in public areas and well-known landmarks. This is part of the psychological warfare in guerrilla wars; you allow your enemy to move as they wish so that they fall into your trap and you strike them. You determine the location and timing of the battle. So, you may see photos from Al-Katiba Square, Al-Saraya, Al-Rimal, or Omar Al-Mukhtar Street, but do not let this weaken your resolve. The battle is judged by its overall results, and this is merely a show.
3. Never spread the occupation's propaganda, and do not contribute to instilling a sense of defeat. This must be focused on, for soon, we will start talking about a massive invasion in Beit Lahia and Al-Nusseirat, for example. Never spread panic; be supportive of the resistance and do not spread any news broadcast by the occupation (forget about the ethics and impartiality of journalism; just as the zionist journalist is a fighter, so are you).
4. The enemy may broadcast images of prisoners, most likely civilians, but the goal is to suggest the rapid collapse of the resistance. Do not believe them.
5. The enemy will carry out tactical, qualitative operations to assassinate some symbols [of resistance], and all of this is part of psychological warfare. Those who have died and those who will die will never affect the resistance's system and cohesion because the structure and formations of the resistance are not centralized but horizontal and widespread. Their goal is to influence the resistance's support base and the families of the resistance fighters, as they are the only ones who can affect the men of the resistance.
6. Our direct human and material losses will be much greater than the enemy's, which is natural in guerrilla wars that rely on willpower, the human element, and the extent of patience and endurance. We are far more capable of bearing the costs, so there is no need to compare or be alarmed by the magnitude of the numbers.
7. Today's wars are no longer just wars and clashes between armies but rather are struggles between societies. Let us be like a solid structure and play a game of biting fingers with the enemy, our society against their society.
Finally, every Palestinian (in the broad sense, meaning anyone who sees Palestine as a part of their struggle, regardless of their secondary identities), every Palestinian is on the front lines of the battle for Palestine, so be careful not to fail in your duty.

💥ISRAELI OCCUPATION BOMBING AND SHELLING RAMPS UP ACROSS THE GAZA STRIP ON 122ND DAY OF WAR OF GENOCIDE💥
The Israeli occupation army increased its shelling and airstrikes across the central and southern Gaza Strip on Monday, resulting in dozens of deaths and dozens more wounded on the 122nd day of Israel's ongoing war of genocide on Gazans.
Occupation artillery continuously concentrates on the western section of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip, with heavy shelling targeting the Al-Amal, Al-Katiba, Sheikh Nasser and Al-Qaizan neighborhoods, while occupation bombing and shelling also targeted the south of Rafah near the border with Egypt.
Israeli occupation soldiers continue to besiege the Al-Amal and Kamal Nasser hospitals in central Khan Yunis City, while at the same time occupation drones open fire on civilians sheltering nearby.
Israeli artillery focus on targeting large sections of the east of Deir al-Balah, while occupation shelling also targeted the Nuseirat Refugee Camp in the central Gaza Strip.
Israeli gunboats also fire on the shores near Gaza City.
In Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip, occupation aircraft and artillery bombarded a residential home, resulting in the deaths of four Palestinian civilians.
According to reports on the bombardment, occupation warplanes bombed a civilian home in the Al-Hakar neighborhood of Deir al-Balah, killing four and wounding several others.
At the same time, Israeli snipers on the rooftops fired into the Zahra School in Khan Yunis City where scores of displaced civilians were sheltering inside, killing one individual and wounding another.
In the al-Zawaida area of the central Gaza Strip, local ambulance and civil defense crews pulled the bodies of 8 Palestinians killed in an Israeli airstrike out from under the rubble, most of which were women and children.
Meanwhile, Israeli drones opened automatic small caliber gunfire at civilians near the Wadi Gaza Bridge on Saleh al-Din Street in central Gaza, resulting in several casualties.
While back in Khan Yunis, in the south of Gaza, upwards of 14 Palestinians were killed and dozens of others wounded as a result of occupation artillery and aerial strikes, according to local medical sources with the Nasser Hospital.
After 122 days of all-out war targeting civilians in the Gaza Strip, in excess of 27'365 Palestinians have been killed, mostly women and children, while another 66'630 civilians have been wounded in Israeli bombing and shelling.
More than 8'000 people remain missing at the time of publishing, likely buried under the rubble of the homes and buildings they sheltered inside before being destroyed in Israeli strikes.

This article is from June so ignore that H&R is listed as airing Fridays, but this is a reputable source confirming 16 episodes for s6. So in addition to doing some sort of countdown to the premiere, am pondering if we do some kind of 100th episode celebration (as they’ll be ending the season on episode 100.) Not sure what that could look like, but also wondering if we could take it cross-platform too (i.e. Twitter, Instagram, *shudder* Facebook…)
Just random thoughts for the moment.

The mother of the martyred commander Tamer Al-Kilani, one of the leaders of the Lions' Den, speaks at the anniversary of the launch of the PFLP.
In a video speech at the 55th anniversary festival of the Popular Front in Al-Katiba Square in Gaza City, she said, "My will to you and to all our people: Take Tamer and his heroic story as an example for you. Take this honorable path. Do not forget the path of liberation, the path of honorable people, and do not ever put down the gun."
She added, "The gun and the flag are the honor in this life. Preserve them well, and continue on the path of Tamer, Wadie Haddad, Al-Hakim, Abu Ali Mustafa, Leila Khaled, and all the the upstanding people."
The martyr's mother noted that comrade Wadie Haddad, al-Hakim, and Abu Ali Mustafa were role models for Tamer, who was raised on the principles of these leaders. She concluded by saying, "Tamer, since his childhood, was a member of the Popular Front, and in the end he honored us and the Front with this heroic act and this sacrifice." She expressed her pride that her son was in the Popular Front and took this path.

PROPHET MUHAMMAD (PBUH)’s BIOGRAPHY : The Conquest of Khaybar.Part4
Those with Double Migration and Double Reward
After they returned to Madinah, some of the mujahid migrants said to the migrants from Abyssinia, “We are superior to you in terms of migration.” Once, Hazrat Asma, the wife of Jafar b. Abi Talib, who had migrated to Abyssinia, went to visit Hazrat Hafsa in her home. She met Hazrat Umar there. When Umar found out that she was Asma bint Umays, he said, “We are superior to you in terms of migration. Therefore, we are close to the Messenger of God (pbuh) than you.”
Hazrat Asma got angry when she heard this and said, ”No. The reality is not as you say. By God, you were near the Prophet. He fed those of you who were hungry and educated those of you who were ignorant by preaching and advising. We had to go to Abyssinia due to the oppression we suffered because of our religion. We did it only for the sake of God.” Then, she said, “By God, I will tell the Messenger of God what you said and I will ask him whether it is true or not.”
Meanwhile, the Messenger of God arrived.
Asma bint Umays told the Messenger of God what Umar had said to her.
The Messenger of God asked, “What did you say in response?”
Hazrat Asma said, “I said this and this.”
Thereupon, the Messenger of God said to Asma, “There is nobody closer than you to me regarding this issue. Umar and his friends have one reward for migration but you, the people of the ship, have two rewards.”[ Bukhari, Sahih, Vol. 3, p. 53-54; Muslim, Sahih, Vol. 4, p. 1947. ]
When the Muslims who returned from Abyssinia heard this, they became very happy. This incident shows how much importance Muslims give to migration.
Booty
The booty captured in Khaybar, was distributed to all of the Companions who were near the Prophet during the Peace Treaty of Hudaybiyah whether they took part in the Expedition of Khaybar or not.[ bn Hisham, ibid, Vol. 3, p. 364. ]For God Almighty had given the good news that Khaybar would be conquered and that He would give them a lot of booty to those who took part in the Expedition of Hudaybiyah.[ Al-Fath, 18-19. ]
The Messenger of God allocated some of the booty to the four hundred Muslims who joined the Islamic army in Khaybar from the tribe of Daws and to the migrants who returned from Abyssinia, led by Jafar b. Abi Talib.[ Ibn Sa’d, ibid, Vol. 2, p. 108; Muslim, Sahih, Vol. 4, p. 1946. ]
Upon the order of the Messenger of God, the booty was divided into five first. One fifth of it was given to the Prophet. The remaining booty was sold upon the order of the Prophet.
The Prophet distributed the money that was obtained when the booty was sold to Muslims equally.[ Ibn Sa’d, ibid, Vol. 2, p. 107. ]
The immovable property of Khaybar, that is, the land and income of Khaybar, was divided as the property of Shiqq, Natat and Katiba. The property of Shiqq and Natat was regarded as the four-fifths share of the Muslims and the property of Katiba was given to the Prophet to be put into the Treasury as the share of the Prophet.[ Ibn Hisham, ibid, Vol. 3, p. 363. ]
The Messenger of God divided the property and crops of Katiba among his relatives, wives and the Muslim men and women based on their needs.[ Ibn Hisham, ibid, Vol. 3, p. 365-367. ]
Among the booty, there were several copies of the Torah. The Jews demanded the copies of the Torah. Upon the order of the Prophet, the Muslims returned the copies of the Torah to the Jews. Thus, they showed their tolerance toward the other religions. This incident also indicated the respect Muslims showed toward the holy books to the previous prophets by God.
The Jews Try to Poison the Prophet
Despite all of the good will and nice treatment of the Prophet, the hatred and the enmity of the Jews against Islam in their hearts never faded away. It was virtually their habit to respond to good treatment with bad treatment and treason.
Khaybar had been conquered and the Prophet started to rest with his Companions. The Jews, who could not defeat the Messenger of God in the war, made a treacherous plan. They decided to poison the Prophet. Zaynab, the wife of Sallam b. Mishkam, a famous Jew, undertook this duty. In accordance with the plan, Zaynab grilled a female goat and spread poison all over it. She found out that the Prophet liked the arm and shoulder of the animal; so, she put more poison on those parts.
The deceitful Jewess took the grilled and poisoned goat to the Prophet and said, “O Abu’l-Qasim! I am giving this to you as a present.” Then, she put it before the Prophet.
When the woman started to leave, the Prophet and the Companions who were there got ready to eat it. The Messenger of God put a small part from the shoulder of the goat into his mouth; but, before he swallowed it, he said to his Companions, “Remove your hands! This blade tells me that the meat is poisoned.”[ Ibn Hisham, ibid, Vol. 3, p. 352; Abu Dawud, Sunan, Vol. 4, p. 175. ]
Everybody removed their hands. However, Bishr b. Bara had swallowed the morsel. It was so poisonous that his body became purple and he was martyred at once.[ Halabi, Insanu’l-Uyun, Vol. 2, p. 767. ]
Jews, who were famous for killing their prophets and who could poison people better than any other nation, could not succeed in poisoning the Prophet. The Prophet summoned Zaynab, who tried to poison him. Zaynab confessed it. The Prophet asked, “Why did you do it?” She replied,
“If you really were a prophet, you would be informed about it and it would not harm you. If you were not a prophet but a king, I did it to make people get rid of you.”[ Ibn Hisham, ibid, Vol. 3, p. 352; Tabari, Tarikh, Vol. 3, p. 95; Ibn Kathir, Sirah, Vol. 3, p. 397. ]
According to some narrations, the Prophet, who never had the feeling of personal revenge, did not kill the woman; he forgave her.[ Qastalani, Mawahibu’l-Ladunniya, Vol. 1, p. 181. ]However, according to other narrations, he had the woman killed. The researchers said:
The Messenger of God did not have her killed but he gave her to the inheritors of Bishr; and they killed her in retaliation.[ Ibn Sa’d, ibid, Vol. 2, p. 107; Halabi, Insanu’l-Uyun, Vol. 2, p. 769. ]
What was Forbidden in Khaybar
The Messenger of God forbad four things for Muslims on the day of Khaybar:
1) To touch women slaves,
2) To eat the flesh of domesticated donkey,
3) To eat the flesh of wild animals and animals with fangs,
4) To sell or buy the booty before it is divided.[ Ibn Hisham, Sirah, Vol. 3, p. 345. ]
Making a Treaty with Fadak Jews
After the conquest of Khaybar, the Prophet sent Muhayyisa b. Mas’ud to the Jews living in the village of Fadak, two destinations away from Madinah, to invite them to Islam. The Jews of Fadak had come together with the Jews living around and decided to attack Madinah but they could not do it.
The Jews of Fadak did not accept the offer of the peace treaty of Muhayyisa, the envoy of the Messenger of God, first but then they feared that they would be like the Jews of Khaybar and made a peace offer. The Prophet accepted their peace offer.
According to the peace treaty, no Fadak Jews would be killed. Half of their land was left to them but the other half was allocated to the Prophet. It was not divided among the other Muslims because according to the sixth verse of the chapter of al-Hashr, the places captured through peace, without any military force, were allocated to the Prophet. Since that was what happened in Fadak, half of the land of Fadak was allocated to the Prophet.[ Ibn Hisham, ibid, Vol. 3, p. 368. ]The Messenger of God used the income from the land of Fadak for himself, the children of Sons of Hashim and to marry the orphans among them off.[ Muhammad al-Khudari, Nuru’l-Yaqin, p. 195. ]
The Conquest of Wadil-Qura
After that, the Prophet left Khaybar and proceeded toward Wadil-Qura. It was a place consisting of villages between Khaybar and Tayma. Before Islam, Jews had settled there and built up that area.
After the Jews of Sons of Qurayza had been punished due to their treason, the Jews of Wadil-Qura decided to attack Madinah together with the Jews around; however, they could not do it.
The Messenger of God invited the Jews living there to Islam. He told them that they would not be killed if they embraced Islam, that their goods would be left to them and that what they had in their hearts would be dealt with by God.[ Ibn Kathir, Sirah, Vol. 3, p. 413. ]The people of Wadil-Qura did not accept the peace offer and got ready to fight.
Thereupon, the Prophet besieged them. During the first day of the siege, about ten Jews were killed.[ Ibn Kathir, ibid, Vol. 3, p. 413. ]
The Messenger of God invited them to Islam again. They did not accept it and resisted against the mujahids. However, they could not resist any longer and had to surrender when the sun was about a spear-length high.[ Ibn Kathir, ibid, Vol. 3, p. 413. ]
The Muslims obtained a lot of booty there. The Messenger of God divided the booty into five. He distributed four-fifths of the booty among the mujahids and allocated one-fifth to the Treasure. He left the land to the people of Wadil-Qura on the condition that they would give half of the crops to Muslims, as it was done in Khaybar.[ Ibn Kathir, ibid, Vol. 3, p. 413. ]
The Jews of Tayma Agree to Pay Jizyah
The Jews also lived in the place called Tayma, which was between Khaybar and Tabuk, on the way between Madinah and Damascus. They heard what the Prophet had done in Khaybar and Wadil-Qura. Therefore, when the Islamic army arrived there, they agreed to pay jizyah. Thus, they did not have to leave their hometown and they did not lose their land.[ Ibn Kathir, ibid, Vol. 3, p. 413; Halabi, Insanu’l-Uyun, Vol. 2, p. 775. ]
The Importance of the Conquest of Khaybar
With the conquest of Khaybar, almost all of the Jews in the Arabian Peninsula became subject to the Islamic state. With the Peace Treaty of Hudaybiyah, any dangers from the polytheists had been prevented. Thus, Islam had a great freedom.
Thanks to the Peace Treaty of Hudaybiyah, the polytheists had not been able to help the Jews or to cooperate with them; thanks to the conquest of Khaybar, it became impossible for the Jews to attempt any cooperation with the polytheists. From then on, there was no light of hope for the polytheists or the Jews to get help from each other. Thus, the Qurayshi polytheists were regarded to have lost one of their supports they had always planned to use.
This conquest caused a lot of sensation around because everybody knew that Khaybar had very strong castles, that the Jews of Khaybar were very good at fighting, that they were superior in terms of weapons and that they had many brave people.
The fact that they were defeated by the Islamic army despite their advantages intimidated everybody. They realized that Muslims had become an invincible power. Therefore, the tribes around surrendered voluntarily, accepting the sovereignty of Islam. Therefore, the conquest of Khaybar has an important place in the history of Islam.

Russia is slowly but surely maintaining gains in the Ukraine. The Ukraine has attacked three offshore drilling platforms near Crimea.
French President Macron lost his control of the legislature after the elections over the weekend with gains mostly in the far right but also some in the far left.
Israeli Prime Minister Bennett announced there would be a vote held to dissolve the Knesset. If this happens, it will be the fifth election in three years. To be honest this coalition was on very shaky grounds to begin with--it was created out of desperation to just assure former Prime Minister Netanyahu wouldn't return to power--and once it accomplished its goal, it didn't have as much to serve as a common ground.
Gustavo Petro, a former leftist guerilla fighter, won the Colombian presidential election.
A court in Japan ruled that same-sex marriage ban is constitutional, overthrowing a former decision made in 2021 that such a ban was unconstitutional.
On a similar note the international body for competitive swimming, FINA, banned female transgender athletes if they underwent male puberty. A recent poll did show that the majority of Americans did not want female transgender athletes to compete professionally.
Over 230 people were killed in Ethiopia. Witnesses claim a rebel group called Oromo Liberation Army did it, but it denies the accusation and says the government was responsible, however this is not the first time the group was seen killing a large group of people.
Over the weekend about 130 people were killed in Mali. It seems a group called Katiba was responsible. For over a decade Mali has had a serious problem with security as extremist groups made such attacks throughout the country.
Heavy flooding in India and Bangladesh have killed at least 110.

UN rights chief decries death of 50 people in Mali attacks

The UN rights chief on Thursday said he was “appalled” by alleged summary executions of 25 people by Mali’s army and “foreign military personnel” last week in a region plagued by violence from armed groups.
Volker Turk also expressed alarm at the killing of approximately 30 others in attacks over the weekend in central Mali, a particular hotbed of violence.

“I am appalled by credible allegations that Malian armed forces accompanied by foreign military personnel summarily executed at least 25 people in Welingara village, in the central Nara region on 26 January,” Turk said in a statement.
“I am also alarmed by reports that about 30 civilians were killed in attacks by yet unidentified gunmen on two other villages – Ogota and Oimbe – in the Bandiagara region over this past weekend,” he added.
Gathering and verifying information in Mali is made difficult by the country’s vast geography, deteriorating communications infrastructure and security concerns.
Rebel violence that started in northern Mali in 2012 spread to the centre of the country in 2015, when Katiba Macina – an al-Qaeda-affiliated group – was established, led by the Fulani hardline preacher Amadou Kouffa.
West Africa recorded more than 1,800 attacks in the first six months of 2023, resulting in nearly 4,600 deaths and creating dire humanitarian consequences. According to an ECOWAS top regional official, this was just “a snippet of the horrendous impact of insecurity”.
Mali is currently led by a military government that seized power in 2020 and turned away from former colonial power France, before pushing the UN peacekeeping mission MINUSMA to leave at the end of 2023.
The government has chosen instead to pivot towards Russia, both politically and militarily. This January, it announced its withdrawal from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), alongside Burkina Faso and Niger, which are also led by their militaries. The regional bloc has been central in condemning and imposing sanctions on the trio after the takeovers.
France once had a strong presence across the Sahel, but announced the withdrawal of its troops from the three countries after the coups.
Many observers have claimed Mali has enlisted the services of Russian mercenaries, despite frequent Malian denials.
The UN and local sources have regularly accused the Malian army and its allies of abuses against civilians, which Mali has also categorically denied.
UN rights investigators and groups like Human Rights Watch said that Malian troops and foreign forces – presumed to be Wagner – were behind the massacre of at least 500 people in the central Malian town of Moura in March 2022.
“It is essential that all allegations of arbitrary deprivations of life, including summary executions, are fully and impartially investigated and those found responsible brought to justice in trials observing international standards,” the UN rights chief said Thursday.
To date, none of the investigations launched in Mali into abuses by the military has been successful.

ISRAELI OCCUPATION KILLS PRISONER, MASSIVE DESTRUCTION IN GAZA ON 88TH DAY ISRAELI GENOCIDE
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) continued with their genocide of Palestinians in Gaza on the 88th day of Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip.
Dozens were killed and many more wounded in overnight bombing raids by occupation warplanes, with the current death toll standing at nearly 22'000, with an additional 56'697 wounded in the fighting.
In Khan Yunis, IOF warplanes carried out a firebelt, along with several individual bombing raids across various parts of the city.
Four Palestinians were wounded as a result of an IOF bombing raid targeting a house in Jourat al-Aqqad, west of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
In Raffah, occupation warplanes targeted a security site near the border with Egypt. No one was injured in this particular attack.
In central Gaza, the Israeli occupation army destroyed a home in the Nuseirat Refugee Camp. Occupation warplanes also targeted the Matar Family home on Abu Arif Street in Deir al-Balah, killing 15 and wounding several others.
Another 15 were killed in bombing raids targeting several family homes in the al-Maghazi Refugee Camp in central Gaza.
IOF warplanes ran several bombing raids across northern Gaza, leaving a number of dead and wounded as a result. However, the occupation army withdrew from several northern Gaza neighborhoods after several hours of incursions into the area.
Previously, several rumors were going around suggesting the occupation army was arresting and executing Palestinian civilians caught in areas being invaded, after which an occupation spokesperson acknowledged that last night, a prisoner taken from Gaza was arrested, investigated and then transfered into the custody of an occupation soldier who then executed the prisoner in cold blood.
An investigation by the occupation military authorities has been opened into the assassination of the prisoner.

Israel's plans to immediately displace the people of Gaza to Sinai, violating promises and Henry Kissinger's dialogue on the position of Lebanon and Russia  The Al-Aqsa Flood Operation is presented in this episode of Samri Channel. The beginning is with the Israeli army, which published a map dividing the Gaza Strip into “blocks” (squares), each bearing a number, explaining its movements after the end of the temporary truce period, on Friday morning, and the resumption of its operations against the Hamas movement. The Israeli army divided the Gaza Strip into blocks into two parts. The northern part includes Beit Hanoun, Beit Lahia, Jabalia, Beach Camp, Al-Rimal, Sheikh Ajlin, Al-Sabra, and Al-Zaytoun. As for the southern part, it includes Al-Bureij, Al-Maghazi, Al-Nasr, Deir Al-Balah, Al-Qarara, Al-Nazareth, Al-Jalaa, Al-Katiba, Al-Amal, Bani Suhaila, Al-Mawasi, Al-Muharrat, and Khan Yunis.
Residents of Jabalia residing in the following blocks: 1772, 1808, 1811, 961, 963, 760... In order to preserve your safety, we call on you to evacuate your homes immediately through the Haifa and Khalil Al-Wazir axes and go to the known shelter centers and schools in the Al-Daraj and Tuffah neighborhoods and west of Gaza City.” He continued. : “In the southern Gaza Strip area: Residents of Khirbet Khuza’a, Abasan, Bani Suhaila, and Ma’an... Residents of Bani Suhaila residing in Blocks 217, 218, 219, 220, 42, 45, 50... In order to preserve your safety, we call on you to evacuate your homes immediately and go to the shelter centers.” Known in Rafah... Residents of Al-Qarara residing in the following blocks: 39, 224, 2250, 2260, 2270, 2280, 2351, 132, 136, 137, 138, 139: For your safety, we call on you to evacuate your homes immediately and go to the known shelter centers. In Rafah and to the humanitarian area in the Al-Mawasi neighborhood.
On the other hand, the Israeli "Alma" Center for Research and Education stated that "Lebanese Hezbollah is not interested in a war that it did not start after Hamas carried out the October 7 attack, but the party's intention to invade Israel is just a matter of time." The Alma report, a non-profit and independent research and education center specializing in the security challenges facing Israel on its northern border, added that “Hezbollah’s Radwan unit is fully trained and capable of launching an incursion into the Galilee at any moment.” Tal Perry, head of research at Alma, said, “The decisive question within Hezbollah today is not whether an attack on the Galilee should be launched, but rather when it will be done.” The researchers noted in the report that “on October 7, Hamas essentially borrowed The infiltration plan was carried out by the Al-Radwan unit and carried out by its forces along the southern border with the Gaza Strip.”
They explained that Hamas embarked on this path independently of Hezbollah for reasons that are not yet clear. According to the report, residents of the northern region do not enjoy adequate protection, and despite recent efforts made by Israel to strengthen the northern border with more walls and surveillance measures, there are still parts along the border that have not been developed, which may facilitate infiltration.
The report stated, “The events of October 7 proved once again that any physical or technological barrier will inevitably be breached. The mountainous terrain along the Lebanese border represents a greater challenge than the flat terrain along the Gaza border, and allows for more covert movement, and Hezbollah is well aware of the terrain.” He knows how to navigate it.” Given the large-scale mobilization of IDF reserve forces deployed along the borders of Lebanon and Syria over the past eight weeks and the military's operational and intelligence vigilance, Alma's report considers that Hezbollah's element of surprise has now been compromised. However, the researchers assert that “even today, at any moment, if Hezbollah chose to do so, it could independently implement the plan to infiltrate Israeli territory with a limited force from the Radwan unit.”
The Lebanese Hezbollah carried out 9 operations against various Israeli army sites along the border extending more than 120 kilometers between Lebanon and the occupied territories, including two attacks on the Ruwaisat Al-Alam site in the Lebanese Shebaa Farms. On the other hand, Israeli occupation aircraft launched 3 raids on the outskirts of the Naqoura area, the first of their kind since the ceasefire. Clashes with machine guns also took place between Hezbollah members and Israeli occupation soldiers stationed near the Al-Matli settlement.

We Breathe Together: Adhel Arop Tells of the Child Soldiers of South Sudan
"Adhel Arop explores her mother’s experiences as a child soldier in South Sudan and their lived experiences afterwards, including the intergenerational effects of trauma, in a new documentary series funded by an Explore and Create grant from the Canada Council for the Arts. Her series, Katiba Banat: Sisters in Arms, will also feature the stories of other former soldiers with whom her mother, Amel Madut, has maintained contact."
“I come from trauma. I understand that from my experience. I’m an artist, so I can express things that others might find hard to do. And I’m grateful that I can.”
