Então, eu geralmente uso qualquer sketchbook que eu encontre e que seja mais barato (ops) - por exemplo, na Saraiva vendiam uns livrinhos sem pauta com desenhos de autores na capa, com um papel bem agradável de desenhar... não sei se ainda existem??

Mas também tem da Cicero (Kraft) ou da Canson (Artbook) - esse último é o que eu tenho usado recentemente, meu favorito até agora. Eu me comprei um tamanho A4 de aniversário, no ano passado, e o bichinho ainda tem folha pra usar. O preço é meio alto, dependendo do tamanho, mas papel de qualidade sempre custa mais :(

OC Drabble

This is a drabble featuring my OC (Maarcus) and @kawaiihetaliana ‘s OC, Edwyn!

He was walking in the park when he spotted the boy.

    He was sitting in the grass on the hill that lead down to the riverbank, knees drawn up to his chest, wild blond curls waving in the light breeze that blew through the park and sent his scarf waving in the air behind him. The boy seemed utterly unaffected by the other people in the park who went out of their ways to avoid him; they shot him odd glances and gave him a wide berth.

    By all means, the boy seemed unimportant.

    But then Edwyn could hear the ocean- waves pulsing so strongly in his ears that it was if he were actually standing on the beach instead of in the park on a warm, sunny June afternoon- and the coppery stench of blood hit his nose, choking him.

    He knew without knowing that this boy either had blood on his hands or his was the blood on someone else’s.

    He also knew without a doubt that this boy was incredibly important.

    He changed course, starting toward the boy.

    The boy didn’t turn around as Edwyn approached, didn’t even move other than lifting a hand in a small wave. His pinkie finger was missing.

    “Hi.” Edwyn waved back, smiling. “Can I sit here?”

    Still not turning, the boy nodded. As Edwyn eased himself onto the grass- with not a little confusion on the boy’s odd behavior- he noticed the strip of cloth- it probably used to be white at some point, but now it was more gray-brown- tied over his eyes. There was also a faded purple scarf draped loosely around his shoulders, covering his mouth and leaving only his nose poking out.

    Oh. He’s blind, Edwyn realized with embarrassment. He shoved it down and forced an uneasy smile. “Ah, ha ha, what’s your name?”

    The boy lifted his hands- thin, delicate-looking hands with thin, delicate-looking fingers- and began spelling out shaky letters in what took Edwyn a moment to realize was sign language.

    “I-I’m sorry,” he stuttered. If his face wasn’t red before, it certainly was now. “I don’t un-understand sign language.”

    The boy’s hands faltered. He lowered them. Then he pointed in Edwyn’s general direction. He was a little off, but Edwyn got his meaning.

    “I’m Edwyn,” he smiled brightly. Then his smile slipped away when he realized why he was in the park to begin with.

    He jumped to his feet, causing the boy to jerk backwards, hands held up like he was afraid Edwyn would strike him.

    “It’s okay! It’s okay!” Edwyn was quick to reassure him, and bit by bit, the boy’s hands lowered. “I just remembered something I have to do. I gotta go.”

    An idea came to mind. “Will you be here tomorrow?”

    There was a pause. Then the boy nodded.

    The grin was back. Edwyn waved, forgetting for a moment that the boy couldn’t see him do it. “I’ll see you tomorrow then!”

    He turned and skipped off, already imagining the pad of paper and the pen he would bring.

    He glanced back over his shoulder just in time to see the boy stand, his clothes hanging off him, and he realized that the boy’s hands hadn’t just been delicate. They’d been skeletal. He looked like he was nothing more than skin and bones.

    I’ll bring a snack too, he decided. Then we can share it!

    He smiled to himself and continued on.

thank you so much to everyone!!! i didn’t ignore all the messages i got, i wanted to answer them properly (esp when i’m not at work or when i’m in the right frame of mind). thank you so much for understanding and all the kind and encouraging words ;; i didn’t want pity since i just wanted to explain (it made me feel a lot better after doing so), but i didn’t expect to get so many messages! thank you again ;; i feel a lot better after getting these messages, talking to friends about my problem, and accepting it as part of life and moving on.... it seems like a small thing, but losing one of the things i can do/have that makes me happy is just...like jumping into a blackhole. ahhahaha
