what do we think of high fashion model regulus black?

like obviously he’s on the show (although he’s fairly reserved (when he’s pushed in an interview tho… boy is he snarky)), but you know how reality tv stars and influencers always try to grow their fame through a main stream industry? i could so see the one regulus gets pushed into being modeling.

like he’s reluctant and he claims to hate it and, to be fair, he does hate most of the people, but it does do a little something for his ego… and he’s always telling barty that it’s dumb and that he’s gonna stop… but he’s just so very pretty, he couldn’t deny the people his face could he?

wait wait I just saw your posts about the influencer AU idea and I'm so obsessed with it. AHH I can't stop imagining Sirius putting on one of those Harper's Bazaar or Vogue Day in the Life/73 questions videos featuring Regulus and just absolutely dunking on him for all the weird product placement/aspirational lifestyle things his family makes him do in it.

And James just sitting there pretending he doesn't have it bookmarked on his phone and seen it a million times or like scheming ways to show up at Regulus's 'fav' spots.

I NEED ADVICE FOR A NEW JEGULUS FIC I’M OUTLINING!!!

…. don’t hate me. the next chapter of glimpses is actually coming along very quickly my brain just can’t focus on one thing at once i’m sorry. i’ve said before that me outlining another fic or working on another one doesn’t take time from the ones i’m already writing, if anything it helps me write faster bc writing other things always gives me ideas for the fics i’m stuck on.

ANYWAY! The idea…. the black family has a very famous reality tv show, james is the nepo baby child of two very famous actors! all your other fav characters will be involved too i promise. the setting is london tho, not hollywood.

it will be a primarily jegulus fic but with lots of other perspectives and pairings too

okay so think of the black’s like the kardahsian’s, but less insufferable and more entertaining. walburga and orion are the classic fame obsessed parents casually exploiting their kids. bellatrix and cissa are on the show too bc why not. reg is obviously on the show, but my question is should sirius be????

i see the arc for all the other characters really clearly, but i’m unsure w sirius. he and james will be best friends (they will also all be in their early 20’s), but i can’t decide if sirius should have cut ties with the family completely and be doing his own thing or if he should be like reluctantly still on the family show.

i know it’s kind of a small detail but i’m stuck on it for some reason soooo please reply to this or send me a message with any thoughts / ideas!!!

Just read about the new ff I’m already obsessed!

I think I would love either way whether Sirius is in the show or not. But I could see him leaving the show and the family in a dramatic way in the past that was partially filmed and it’s till the most popular and talked about episode of the show, even seasons after it. So the family keeps trying to get him back into it, in the most various and possibly awful ways (depending how dark the Blacks will be)

Anyway I just wanted to reply because I love your writing and this idea is so fresh and I’m already very excited!!

first of all thank you for answering, second of all i literally love this and will definitely be incorporating it!

i’m thinking orion and walburga are so into publicity (good or bad) that they sign the type of contracts that basically lets the producers of the show air whatever footage they want, no matter how personal, and there are cameras all over the house.

ergo it leading them to being able to air the big fight w sirius and him leaving almost in it’s entirety. which, like you said, becomes super popular. love love love.

i like what you’re saying about them always trying to pull him back in for views too, now i just gotta decide which of them is the most fake hungry that they’d go for him like that
