Ingredients
3 Capsicum
2 cups Cooked Rice
5-6 Garlic
1 Onion
3 Cloves
2-3 Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Pepper Corns
3 tbsp Bengal Gram
2 tbsp Coriander Seeds
Red Chilies
1 tsp Cumin Seeds
1 tsp Mustard Seeds
1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
1/2 cup Curry Leaves
2 1/2 tbsp Oil
Salt
Instructions
To start, heat a pan and add 3 cloves, 2 to 3 cinnamon pieces, 1/4 tsp of pepper corns and 3 tbsp of bengal gram dal.
Roast these ingredients on a low flame until they change color, then add 2 tbsp of coriander seeds and continue roasting for a while.
Next, add red chilies as per your taste and a tsp of cumin seeds.
Stir everything together and put off the flame.
Once the mixture has cooled down completely, grind it into a fine powder and keep it aside for a while.
In a separate pan, heat 1 1/2 tbsp of oil and add a chopped onion.
Saute it until it turns transparent, then add 5 to 6 garlic cloves cut into pieces.
Once the garlic is fragrant, add 3 finely chopped capsicum and saute everything well.
Add 1/2 tsp of turmeric powder and salt to taste, and mix everything together.
Cook the mixture until the capsicum pieces turn soft.
Next, add the ground powder mixture to the capsicum mixture, and mix everything together.
Finally, add the cooked rice to the mixture and mix well.
Heat another pan with a tbsp of oil, and add a tsp of mustard seeds and 2 reeds of curry leaves.
Once they start spluttering, add the rice mixture to the pan.
Place a lid on top and let it cook on low flame for a while.
Alternatively, place a pan on the stove, cover the rice pan with a lid, and cook for 10 minutes on low heat with no steam coming out.
After 10 minutes, put off the flame and open the lid.
Mix everything together and add a dash of lemon juice for some tanginess.
If you wish, you can also add some roasted peanuts for a crunchy texture.
Your delicious and flavorful Capsicum Rice is now ready to be served. Enjoy!

This is less of a recipe, and more of an idea. I’ve been struggling a lot with food lately. My fridge leaks, stealing more food from me than I consume, and I haven’t had energy for anything. It’s taking me longer and longer to make the simplest of things.
This? This was pretty simple. I lined a cookie sheet with foil so I wouldn’t have to wash anything, baked some dino nuggies, and then when they were almost done, I added some mini maple waffles. It made a bite-sized chicken and waffle meal without the hassle. It is by no means as incredible as real fried chicken and waffles, but in a bind, this will do. It’ll be great for your picky eaters. Serve it with some syrup, or honey. Maybe hot honey. Whatever you or your kiddo likes! Let me know how it goes <3 Happy eating!

If I wanted to grow up to be a political figure then I would be fucking tearing offices up about public schools rn. They're literally so inhumane for students of all ages and homeschooling is purposefully engineered to discourage at-home learning, thus more parents send their kids to public school by legal binding when those kids could be in safer, more psychologically stimulating environments that don't drain them for hours upon hours at a time. Your child is 10. Do they really need to be sitting in uncomfortable chairs and getting scrutinized by their peers. Do they need to be eating food even you wouldn't touch.   Welcome to Hyderabadi Ruchulu, where we are excited to share a versatile batter recipe that can be used to make both idli and dosa. Rather than creating two separate batters for each dish, this recipe will save you time and effort by using the same batter for both by making 2 in 1 idli dosa batter. Additionally, this batter can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week to prepare delicious meals whenever you desire.

Ingredients
1 cup Black Gram
4 cups Idli Rice
1/2 cup Flattened Rice
1 tsp Fenugreek Seeds
Instructions
To create this batter, we will be using idli rice, which makes it suitable for a variety of dishes.
Lets see how to make the multipurpose batter
To begin, take a mixing bowl and add one cup of black gram.
Wash it one to two times before adding half a cup of flattened rice and one teaspoon of fenugreek seeds. Soak these ingredients in water for a minimum of four hours.
Next, take four cups of idli rice, wash it two times, and soak it in water for at least four hours. If you are using a mixer instead of a grinder, only use three cups of idli rice.
Grind the soaked black gram first, and once it becomes soft, remove it from the grinder.
Now, remove the black gram batter and add the soaked idli rice
Grind until soft
Mix both the batter with your hands and let it ferment for 8 hours
Seal it in an air-tight container

Take the required amount of batter
Add some water and salt to it until the required consistency is obtained
Spread some ghee or clarified butter on the idli plates
Pour the batter and close the lid
Steam for about 12 minutes
Let them cook down a little and serve the hot idlis

Heat the pan and pour the batter on top
Spread with the back of the spoon on a low flame

Pita Chips
Ingredients
1 pkg Fancy Lebanese pita* (5 in a pack)
1/3 cup oil (usually half an half olive and vegetable/canola, flavoured oil if you have it)
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp paprika (smoked is even better)
2 tbsp dried herbs of choice (oregano and dill are my fav)
salt and pepper to taste
Directions
(these have been updated from the recipe as written as i have been making these weekly for about a year now)
Preheat oven to 375°f.
Cut each pita into 8 triangles. Keep the package as intact as possible.
Combine oils, lemon juice, and seasonings in a large bowl.
Toss pita triangles in oil until covered.
Arrange in a single layer on parchment lined baking sheet.
Bake 14 minutes, rotating tray half way through.
Let cool before packing back into the bag they came in.
Good for school lunches, picnics, or just snacking at home.
*Fancy Lebanese is a local pita bakery. Use whatever local bakery makes the best pita. Grocery store brand pita is not acceptable because it is shit.
