Hiya! I know that the post where you asked for show recs was from a little bit ago haha, but if you like iZombie I would definitely recommend Veronica Mars!! Same people worked on both shows, and there are some similar vibes but it certainly has its own feel to it. The first season revolves around the protagonist trying to find out who killed her best friend, with smaller, individual mysteries each episode. I think it’s very good at doing that thing that iZombie also does; where it can be very silly and poke fun at itself a lot but still keeping you genuinely invested in the characters.

I’m also not exactly sure where your tastes run but I might also suggest Fringe! It’s another sort of mystery-of-the-week show with an overarching antagonist/problem like the others, and it has that same sort of ‘clearly magic adjacent but we’ve got a sciencey explanation for it’ thing going on that iZombie does. It’s about an FBI agent who has to solve all these strange cases with almost paranormal going-ons, with the help of a disgraced mad scientist and his son. The characters are the most fun part of it imho, like the mysteries are good but watching the silly little people grow and become friends? Is just wonderful to me <33

ALSO iZombie is what actually got me into Alias, but I think this is already kind of long and I’ll never shut up about it when you get me started lol. Anyhow sorry for this being just out of the blue, I just really like suggesting tv shows haha! 😅

Oh boy, yes this is the response I was referring to in my other post, and I have some things to say about it.

TL;DR: Clarification is nice but it shouldn't be up to the employees to apologise for something that upper management should've taken accountability for anyway. I'm not accepting everything as "fixed" until Celeste says anything else.

Obligatory "we don't know everything so don't jump to conclusions!!!" disclaimer (personally I love jumping to conclusions I love drama lol)

Ok first off, let's start positive, good to have some accountability and a bit of clarification on what's happened, considering I honestly thought GLITCH was just gonna keep quiet and hope for it to brush over, having the manager tell their side of the story is a good thing.

That's all the positives I have towards this apology because the rest are all negative.

For starters, why is the manager taking full accountability for this, while yes they made the decision, the higher ups should be taking accountability, at the end of the day Jasmine is an employee of GLITCH. Normally when something happens within a company, the company itself will put out a statement taking accountability for the actions of their staff. This hasn't happened yet, it's not Jasmine's full responsibility for this, there should be recognition from the company of their mistake.

I get if they're taking a while to make a response, but it's not hard to put out a statement saying "hey, we fucked up, sorry". It would be miles better than having an employee put it out IN THEIR FAN DISCORD SERVER OF ALL PLACES, thank got it got reposted because none of us would know others.

Furthermore, what is the main message from this, the main reason for this happening? "Oops I forgot". That's such a shitty excuse, especially for a manager. I completely understand getting overworked as hell, from what I've seen Jasmine is also the manager for a lot of other things at GLITCH, and if GLITCH's Glassdoor reviews are anything to go by, overworking employees seems to be their biggest flaw.

Something like this slipping their mind would be fair and understandable under those circumstances, but that's what upper management is for, it's up to them to make sure people do what they're employed to do, that includes making sure the appropriate messages are sent out, especially for big changes like this. Of course no one likes to have a boss that questions everything you do, but having someone check that all the appropriate messages are sent out is pretty damn important for running a company.

This is ultimately a show of poor management on GLITCH's behalf, had they communicated better not just with Celeste but also with each other, this entire situation would've been avoided.

I don't think this is some catastrophic downfall that can never be resolved, it actually can be resolved quite easily. All it involves is an admission of negligence on GLITCH's side and a proper apology to be sent and accepted by Celeste. Obviously I'm not gonna go demanding such things be made public but treating this like GLITCH's downfall is just kinda silly, this can be fixed.

Yes this is bad, and you should feel upset/angry about this all happening, seeing voice actors being treated poorly and "forgotten" about sucks and doesn't reflect well on GLITCH at all, if you don't want to support GLITCH right now that's completely reasonable, but this isn't worth wishing the companies downfall over. Advocate for change, not carnage.

There is also the possibility that this whole "apology" is bullshit. More comments from SMG2's now former VA have come out about this apology.

If this is all true, then that's just as bad on GLITCH's side. Ultimately we won't know the entire story until Celeste makes any other comment, however given how taxing this has all been on her, it's understandable if she doesn't say anything now, or ever to be honest.

My love and support goes out to Celeste during this time. I hope she and GLITCH can come to some kind of agreement that allows everyone to move on.

Anyway, so about me now, haiiii

I'm likely gonna mostly hault making SMG4 art for a while due to this, I love this series and I don't like to see this all happen to it, but I care more about treating voice actors fairly and making sure they're given the respect they deserve, if that involves stopping my support for GLITCH for now then so be it. I'm hoping this gets resolved, if that does happen i'll go back to normal, if not thennnnn I'll deal with that when it happens.

I'm still happy to interact with people in this community still, there's a few ideas and pieces I want to make for other people still, things like AU arts and DTIYS's, so I'll be doing that, but as for new SMG4 art and memes, not right now. (lets face if the SMG4 community on Tumblr is so far removed from everyone else it's basically our own series out here lmao)

I'll still draw Mango don't worry, he's basically my persona so I can detach him from SMG4 for now, my silly lil guy isn't going anywhere.

I understand that a lot of people are upset by this and are trying to block it out and carry on as normal. While I understand why most of you are taking that stance, I know a lot of you are teens and SMG4 is a source of comfort for a large chunk of you, please don't just ignore all this happening. I don't even care if you take an inconclusive stance on this, just please don't block it out entirely and pretend it's not happening, that's just not fair on Celeste.

I'll be doing my best to keep up with this as much as possible. I know I've come across as overly critical during all this, but I don't like seeing people act like GLITCH has done nothing wrong and never can. It's ok if a company you like has done something shitty, they do that all the time, but its not ok to let them get away with it and pretend it never happened, that's just covering for their shitty actions. I'm not going to cover for GLITCH's shitty actions which is why I'm speaking up about it and will continue to do so until some kind of resolution is reached.

With the advancement of AI, the mods of SHMonth would like to finalize our stance on AI art/works/fics in our server and throughout future SasuHina Month Events.

AI Art of any kind is prohibited from being submitted to the SasuHina Month prompts during any and all SasuHina Month Events. Mods will not interact with ai-generated works, and participants who submit ai-generated art will not be considered for the SasuHina Artist of the Year.

We've made this decision because the event is solely based on participants from the community. Art, fanfiction, and any other form of work dedicated to celebrate SasuHina and the people who enjoy it is at its best version when coming from the individual, rather than from AI. AI is unfeeling. No matter what it creates, it does not have the heart that we want when it comes to our submissions. We celebrate creativity, uniqueness, and imagination, no matter the form it comes in.

That being said:

The mod team, if it has nothing to do with SHMonth submissions and events, will not be concerned with AI-generated art/works posted to social media, such as Twitter/X, Tumblr, Instagram, etc.

Granted, that bunk is piled with blankets and pillows, and she doesn’t even sleep under them; it’s all just lumpy padding for curling up on top of and snoring. (After meeting with Chuu and finding out 1) there was a way to avoid getting arrested after the Banquet fiasco and 2) she could totally be stronger. Totally. And subsequently getting… let’s call it Off-Brand-Fantasia’d, she needs a bit more space.. she stops snoring most of the time, though. Having more snout apparently makes it easier to not snore!) ∇- I genuinely think Tangy gets a handle on Accounting by hanging out with Tataru so much over the years. It keeps Tataru’s mind off worrying about everybody as much while they’re away on business, and Tangy gets to wrinkle her brain (this takes. Such a long time though. She’s still not reliable for it, either, but she’s passable :3) .. for a proper aging headcanon tho I think as she gets older she becomes an anchor point for the Scions like Tataru is. Sets up shop and trains young adventurers in combat and cooking and camping. Her whiskers twitch when thunderstorms are brewing. She still sometimes needs nudging from her own students on things, but it’s usually in things relating to Reading. I feel like she has pretty bad dyslexia and maybe even dyscalculia that she’s just learned to deal with.

♒- LOVES food. Loves to eat. Loves to help with cooking. Measuring ingredients for recipes is actually pretty easy since it’s not demanded exactness, it’s just “half of this cup, level this cup, just enough to cover the bottom of this pan,” like, not exact. You feel cooking with your heart. And kneading bread is an excellent and fun work out to her. Can not bake.. Kinda wishes she could. She’s just not precise enough, and she gets the order in which things have to be done mixed up, so she ends up with some pretty…. Not exactly inedible but…. 🫢 It’s not appetizing looking.. and it doesn’t taste great… She’s not a picky eater, but she hesitates to eat snails. It just makes her a little sad, cos they’re cute to her. And then she eats them anyways =w=; the chef worked hard to make this delicious meal and she’s gonna eat it! Her favorite food is whatever she can eat with her hands/whatever’s in front of her at the time, and any of F’lahminn’s cooking. Even if it’s burnt.

no clue!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i honestly dont. really. have a super good idea as to what his crime even was other than he bonked someone, or multiple ppl, with a baseball bat. like. who did he even kill. what was the motive. what did the person(s) he killed do to trigger him into needing to protect himself. and i doubt we'll get answers to these questions until trial 3 considering John is very adamant about protecting Mikoto from the stress that comes with even thinking about that stuff. and John himself said he doesn't even remember a lot of the details and that his memory of it is fuzzy so. fucking RIP us i guess.

anyway. as for... i guess any sort of theory... uh... i've always liked the stalker theory.. though i guess i'm not As sure about it since Double's release but... i just think it explains all the camera imagery nicely.. though there's also other explanations for "being watched" being a theme for Mikoto so... who knows, i sure don't.

hm..... well for one I'm always here for bashing the living hell that is The Working Culture, so hell yeah to that 🍻! I'm also a fan of just... the questions it poses about mental illness and culpability and the complications that arise when trying to take those types of extenuating circumstance into account.

of course I like the DID rep, and I think it's done very well so always a fan of that. I like just mentioned this in a post so oops but. as i said there, i really like how his DID isn't only portrayed as super clear-cut alters that like... never blend together. there is a good balance between how distinct they are and how much self agency they have, and then also how they influence each other. imo.

if we get to learn more about his family and what his home life was like growing up... I'm sure I will be a very big fan of that. here's a meme that I'm in love with that's sorta related I guess.

got one of my paychecks in the mail (other one went to my old address but my roommate is gonna forward it to me asap) so I can see the total amount I earned which is actually RIGHT around where I estimated, which would have left me with somewhere $200-300 extra in my pocket after deducting travel/food/etc expenses. Except I forgot to factor in taxes lol. which ended up being $281 for the season. soooo after I cash these and pay off my credit card balance, and put the rest in my bank account I spent some money out of as welllllll.... I basically come out a smidge over breaking even lol. I could break it down more for like what technically I have spent since back in CT but it's like whatever, essentially I have like less than $100 more dollars extra than I had 30 days ago in my account

TL;DR: Chaos and war, basically also like a hamilton, heathers, and les mis crossover (but i mean if you want to understand everything you should read.)

Note: Everyone on the smp has three canon lives, and when you loose all three you're canonically dead (except philza minecraft. he has one canon life bc hes known as the hardcore guy bc he had a minecraft hardcore series for 6 years until he was killed by a spider while trying to fight a baby zombie lmaoooooo)

IMPORTANT: THIS IS ALL RP. IRL THEY’RE ALL FRIENDS. THERES A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE PLAYER AND THE CHARACTER. THE RELATIONSHIPS AREN’T ACTUALLY TOGETHER IRL. ITS ALL THEIR CHARACTERS THAT THEY MADE UP. (obviously the best friends stuff are irl)

In the beginning there were 8: The Dream Team (Dream, Georgenotfound [the guy in my pfp btw :)] , Sapnap), Badboyhalo, Awesamdude, Ponk, Callahan, and Alyssa. Around this time, nothing much happened since it was all brand new, uhh yeah (this was around may-july of this year)

Then around late july new members joined: Tommyinnit, Tubbo, Wilbur Soot, Eret, Skeppy, Fundy, Punz, Purpled, and Schlatt. This part is very important to the lore, because the lore kinda started off with the british (so tommy, tubbo, wilbur, eret) Schlatt was banned, cause Sapnap was the one who invited him and Dream didn't know who he was. He'll come up later.

So Wilbur and Tommy decided to create a new nation called "L'Manberg". Also around this time (i think) Nihachu and Jack Manifold joined. They also were part of L'Manberg. There was this huge revolution between Dream Smp and L'Manberg. Very historical period on this smp. In the end, (i think it was?) L'Manberg who won (if memory serves).

After that, L'Manberg had started growing bigger, with a lot more buildings added and stuff, notably Church Prime, which where they created a religion for Twitch Prime, which is how you can sub to your favorite twitch streamer for free if you link your amazon prime account. I'm pretty sure around this time, Quackity, Karl Jacobs (if you watch Mr. Beast; yes, that karl jacobs), HBomb, Technoblade, and Antfrost joined. And then the railway war started. It happened when Tommy accidentally ran over Dream with a Minecart and then took his stuff. This is how the disc war started (once again, if memory serves). The two discs Tommy owns are his prized possesions, and Dream took them. Also around this time the Pet War started, with Sapnap killing someones(i forgot oops) pet. And then more pet killing. Annnnd then even more.

Then there was the L'Manberg eletion. There was POG2020, who was Wilbur and Tommy, SWAG2020, Quackity and George, Coconut2020, Fundy and Nihachu, and Schlatt2020 which was Schlatt. Oh yeah and he got unbanned btw

SWAG2020 and Schlatt2020 decided to combine their votes, thus Shclatt became president and Quackity his vp. Oh and ever since the election Quackity has this grudge against George bc he slept through the election. Schlatt renamed L'Manberg to Manberg, and exiled Tommy and Wilbur from it.

Schlatt is a evil dictator who likes power. He and Quackity started fighting, and so Quackity became part of Tommy and Wilbur's side. Around this time was The Battle of the Lake and The Burning Eiffel Tower, both part of the pet war. (It seems like a innocent war but its actually brutal lmao) Also (irl) Mr. Beast had a $10,000 Taco Bell gift card hunt. Eret won. It was at the cords 6969,420, because haha funny number haha weed number. This has nothing to do with the lore but yeah. Eret also became King of the SMP 

Then there was the Manberg festival. It was to celebrate democracy, but Tubbo puts it as "i decorated my own execution" bc he helped decorate it, but he was murdered there. At the festival was the Manberg Massicare, where Technoblade was forced to shoot tubbo, but he released a firework rocket kiling Tubbo, Schlatt, Quackity, and a few others. Many people lost one of their canon lives. Wilbur went all J.D like and planted 11 stacks of TNT underneath Manberg, and wanted to blow it up.

Pogtopia was formed, which is a ravine which i think is underneath? manberg? Which included basically everybody who wasn't neutral or with schlatt. On November 16 was the Manberg VS Pogtopia war, but the Badlands were also there. The Badlands is a nation of four people: Bbh, Skeppy, Awesamdude, and Antfrost. They faught with the loosing side, so the chaos could continue. Eret disobeyed Dream and got stripped of his royalty, and gave it to George. Oh and during this time, George had no idea there was a war and was building a cottagecore mushroom house with callahan and was very confused with all the death messages in the chat. Schlatt died canonically of a heart attack or stroke (no one knows tbh). Tommy became president, passed it to wilbur bc he still has unfinished buissness with dream (the discs), and wilbur passed it to Tubbo, who made Tommy his vp. Technoblade then argued about how government is bad, and they're just repeating history. Philza Minecraft joined the server, but no one could find him, until Wilbur blew up L'Manberg (they rechanged the name also). Wilbur then made Philza kill him, so Wilbur also became canonically dead. Then Techno, still mad at L'Manberg and governments, summoned two withers and made it attack the others. The Geogre decided to check out what was happening and helped fight. After the chaos, Captain Puffy and ConnorEatsPants joined the smp. About one to two weeks later Vikkstar and LazarBeam joined, then about three months after that Ranboo joined.

They rebuilt L'Manberg on stilts, and there water where the explosion was, but now with coral and stuff to make it all pretty. Tommy and Ranboo decided to go steal from Georges mushroom house, but then also griefed it and burnt it, and Dream, being a George simp, built obsidian walls around L'Manberg. They took Tommy to court, and was put on probation. Then Tommy got exiled (again) but this time by his own best friend. This made Quackity vp and Fundy secutary of state. Dream also took Georges king thing and gave it back to Eret because Eret has a good relationship with everybody, whereas George being King just caused chaos cause hes close to Dream. Quackity and Karl made Mexican L'Manberg, and George and Sapnap joined in also. War against Dream SMP, it was a negotiation and it got renamed into El Rapids (reference to Chilling in Cedar Rapids, which Hilary Clinton once said, and Quackity referenced it, got it trending #1 one twitter (well i mean dsmp gets things trending like everyday but), and got DONALD TRUMP TO SUBTWEET HIM. (This happened irl)

In his exile, Ghostbur (wilbur as ghost) and Tommy made Logstedshire, and Dream was often there to watch him. Dream then blew it up, and now Tommy is living with Techno in his arctic place. Currently, Quackity made a thing called The Butcher Army, so they could execute Techno. Tubbo, Quackity, Fundy, and I also think Ranboo? are trying to get another festival, and yes its a secret execution plan, but for them to kill Dream, who they realized is who they need to kill first. The disc war is still not over. Tommy has one of his discs, but Skeppy is in possesion of the other one.

Unluckily for Tommy (reguarding the discs), something happened in the Badlands. Bbh was digging out his underground statue room (he plans to make a statue of everyone of the server) and found this crimson egg. He, Antfrost, and Captain Puffy kinda got possesed. Also since Skeppy didn't really hang out on the server at night, but bbh does (OF FUCK I FORGOT TO MENTION HE AND BBH ARE BEST FRIENDS) Captain Puffy created Discount Skeppy, which is her in a Skeppy skin. Skeppy found out, had a little conflict with her during her stream, but it was resolved, and at one point in the stream, he asked bbh to choose between him and the egg, and when bbh didn't answer, he went to the egg, put himself inside it, and logged off. Couple days later, bbh and puffy got him out, hes now possed by the crimson, called Technoblade his "best friend" infront of bbh, and is now living in a grass hut. Bad is convinced theres still some skeppt left, but yeah. Skeppy also wanted to burn the disc.

Not much part of lore but Nihachu and Captain Puffy once went on a date. They’re both bi irl and Puffy was on Nihachu’s Love or Host (twitch dating show. its really entertaining) Captain Puffy was a contestant, and chose love. (LoH is also how Nihachu and Wilbur met.) 

Funfact: Theres 5 irl lgbtq+ ppl on the server (people who came out, anyways cause you never know, ya know?) Antfrost is gay, Eret, Nihachu, Captain Puffy are all bi, and Karl Jacobs is ace spec 

Family stuff: Philza Minecraft (he'll come up later) had two twins with a Samsung Smart Refrigerator in the 70's. The two twins being Wilbur and Technoblade (he'll come up later also) and also had another son, Tommy. They also adopted Tubbo, who they found in a box on the side of the road. When he grew up, Wilbur met Sally the Salmon, and they had a fox together (dont ask just go with it), which was Fundy. (The character) Fundy is trans, and yeah . Bbh is a dad to sapnap and yeah

So uh you don’t have to answer this but for your adhd what’s it like? Or well yeah that and how long have you know you have adhd because I just- I don’t have the opportunity to get tested until I’m 18 and I don’t wanna self diagnose but it’s something that’s bothering me and I’m genuinely curious

aha... ooo, where to start. i guess i should first of all say that i also havent had the opportunity to get tested...but it all started here? sort of?

i made this account in october and i expressed through some rambles that i felt i might have adhd but didn't want to self diagnose. i've been to therapy & i was diagnosed with depression, anxiety and ptsd a few years ago, but honestly the therapy experience was just Bad for me because of Reasons and i've been wary of going back (and also my parents aren't very supportive of therapy or anything to do with mental health stuff...so.) *

*edit: i should also mention that i'm someone who likes to feel out...labels? i guess? and things of that nature to make sure i'm certain about it (or as certain as possible) before committing to it. this happened for my gender & sexuality as well as the mental illnesses i thought i might have before i was diagnosed. usually this includes years of internal debate and further research and self analysis...so i. yeah i would never want to just say i have adhd just because.

anyways, in the ask i linked + some others, i was told that it was okay to self diagnose adhd if you've been noticing symptoms for a while? (i believe because it's hard for adults to get an accurate diagnosis... anyway? but don't quote me on that) and i had been, i'd been 👀 for like a year prior but hadn't mentioned it much to anyone because i again...didn't wanna self diagnose.

leading up to me talking about it on here though, it's just like. i've had a lot of time to observe myself during covid/quarantine and come to new... realizations? my parents pointed out to me MORE than once that i was constantly stimming (i mean they didn't call it that, but that's what it was--i was never sitting still & they'd tell me to like. relax. whenever we watched a movie. i snap my fingers a lot when my mom's being slow getting groceries, and also tap my foot/jog my leg which is actually something i've always done but never really noticed, constantly picking at the skin around my nails or at my lips, etc etc)

and then i had the shittiest college quarter of my LIFE because i doubled up on units like an IDIOT but it was around november...which. you know how we all were during november, ok. we were a collective mess. and i just couldn't (still can't) concentrate on school like normal. i (haha..used to) care a lot about school, and my parents were like 👀 what is going ON why are you so stressed but it was because i couldnt focus on a SINGLE assignment for more than 1 minute at a time

so naturally i complained about it on here and asked for ways to study with adhd? because i hadnt looked into it before? and i kid you not... all the suggestions worked. all of them. i actually got the shit done without turning it in late and it was!! a miracle

but yeah, that kinda cemented it for me. that, and having friends on here that told me it was perfectly okay to say i have it/noticed me doing stuff like jumping from thought to thought on my instagram stories or stimming or whatever, which felt pretty validating i guess. i mean sometimes i still doubt that i do have it, but i hope to get tested sometime when i feel it's okay to do so

anyways to sum it all up because i know this was a lot

lack of concentration/difficulty staying focused on one task for too long/procrastinating like crazy

finding it hard to sit still (fidgeting, moving, stimming)

forgetfulness (which i forgot to add... uh. {edit: LMAO I FORGOT TO ADD FORGETFULNESS SHAHDJ} one time i forgot to pay my tuition and got fined a late fee for 100$...oops)

not wanting to do things that require a lot of mental effort (like the essay i'm avoiding rn!)

could transition into them talking about the finale episode of their favorite show: worst chefs in seoul

they’re both huge fans, and equally complete disasters when it comes to culinary skill

yoongi likes the show bc he likes the competition aspect and tbh he got addicted after y/n forced him to watch the first season w them

y/n also likes it for that reason, but the main reason they watch it is bc of a certain kim seokjin

anyway, they talk about the finale, and then yoongi says something about the next season’s ‘nominations’ coming up soon

y/n jokingly says they’re going to nominate yoongi bc of that one time he made tacos with dog food

and yoongi fires back w the time they managed to light the microwave on fire making cup o’ noodles

they agree to let each other live

anyway, they’re usually told to find a batch of contestants (that they feel) would conjure up the most drama for the show

to their credit, they do (somewhat) succeed for the most part

jimin selects yoongi and namjoon from the nomination pool bc he thinks joon’s clumsiness w yoongi’s nonchalant nature will work for max chaos

and taehyung chooses y/n and jungkook bc while their competitive drives are similar, y/n’s subdued nature has a big chance for conflict w jk’s out-there attitude

day 0

jimin and taehyung are the first to greet everyone, collecting all four contestants together for a tour of the dorms

and y/n starts texting yoongi in a panic bc both of their dumbasses forgot that the contestants are separated into teams as soon as they arrive

yoongi prolly says smth like i’m two feet away from you why are you texting me

(y/n reminds him they can’t make it seem like they know each other)

yoongi acts like it’s not that big of a deal

prolly says there’s a good chance they’ll end up on the same team

and if they don’t they can just hang out in the dorms when the cameras are off and away

which is when jimin loudly announces that this season, each team is getting their own dormitory

and that contestants will be required to stay in their dorm while filming the season, except for approved ‘outings’ for the show

he moves on before anyone can ask what that means

they’ll be allowed to pick whichever dorm they want to stay in for the first night, since they want to get the contestants’ reactions on camera when they reveal the teams

but after they’re revealed tomorrow, it’s your dorm and your dorm only

y/n and yoongi automatically gravitate towards each other

they end up together in the ‘new’ dorm, which yoongi grumpily notes is practically bigger than their whole apartment

y/n wonders if they ended up in seokjin’s dorm, and gets excited at the thought of this being a ‘test’ to see which chef’s team they’ll be on

to which yoongi asks what makes this dorm his?

“idk i just...feel his aura in here”

“.......okay, weirdo. i’m gonna go ‘feel his aura’ in the bathroom and take a—”

y/n can either ask what yoongi thinks of the other contestants or they can both pretty much blow them off entirely for the time being

next morning, the contestants are woken up bright and early by none other than our favorite assistant producers

the wake up call comes in the form of a new group chat between the six of them

along with a link to ‘download’ the calendar for the shooting schedule

(which is really an app/virus that disables certain functions on their phones)

((such as most social media and texting numbers outside their ‘parameters’))

after that’s all hashed out, jm & t explain that this group chat is for any and all notifications and updates about the show, as well as any questions and/or concerns the contestants might have

like

“can i just vote to eliminate myself now and go home?” and

“how do i get this fucking thing off my phone” and

“when do we find out what team we’re on??”

and right now!

they tell the contestants to get up and get dressed as their first day on set officially starts now

y/n and kook immediately jump into action and leave the gc

joon lags behind a little confused but follows the flow

yoongi, ever the people person, gets aggressive when they don’t answer his questions about their goddamn malware

“is this even legal?? are you even fucking allowed to just disable our devices like this?”

“what if there’s an emergency??”

“looks like you’ll just have to find out, huh?”

yoongi’s phone then crashes and won’t let him unlock it until the first block of filming is finished

day 1 recap

we find out through our superfan what happens during the first episode

(maybe do something like this person is some kinda press/‘news’ account dedicated entirely to w.c.i.s. and the two chefs)

((mayhaps they leak the contestant list before it goes public??))

((jimin and tae could have some kinda unspoken rivalry w them lol))

anyway the story is told through them in a series of twitter threads

(plus a few messages from y/n to yoongi freaking out about the teams they get put on)

first event of the day is: the team announcements

yoongi and joon end up on team kim seokjin and y/n is on team jyp w kook

being split up puts a bit of a damper on their plans, and with this stupid cell block they don’t know if they’ll even be allowed to talk to each other

none of them get much time to react, though, as they’re then shuffled off to their respective kitchens

where they finally meet their respective chefs

and, lo and behold, y/n is goddamn terrified

jinyoung is even scarier in person than he is on tv

“don’t laugh at me yoongi!! this is the guy who made a girl sob on live television!”

“and now ur gonna be the next person what’s the problem lmao”

while y/n tries to get past their fear, they’re given their first official task: work together with their new partner to create a meal of their choice

the catch is that they aren’t allowed any help from their chef yet

and since the teams were just announced literally like 10 minutes ago, none of them have had much of a chance to get to know each other

(the network knows this, and does this on purpose since most of the seasons’ first episodes are spent either arguing or being completely lost)

things go about as well (read: badly) as expected

y/n and kook soon discover their very conflicting personalities and spend the majority of the round bickering back and forth about what to make/how to do it

meanwhile yoongi slaps a piece of sliced cheese directly on the stove while joon runs around like a chicken w its head cut off

in the end, team jyp somehow manages to come out victorious

they cobble together some (semi) edible banana milkshakes to present to the judges

(‘together’ meaning y/n wanted to make plain vanilla milkshakes and kook switched it for banana milk when they weren’t looking)

yoongi and joon tried (keyword being tried) to make grilled cheese

but between yoongi’s cheese-to-stove method and joon dropping their two pieces of burnt toast right before the timer rang

they didn’t get many points

as their reward, team jyp has the honor of picking what they’ll be making tomorrow

they’re given the rest of the day to think and talk it over while team ksj is told to reflect on what went wrong in today’s trial

back at the dorms (now in their separate teams), y/n finds that yoongi finally graces them w a response

(and that they were right about which one was ‘seokjin’s’ dorm)

yoongi tells them about ‘that little shit’ locking him out of his phone and that he honestly just wants to get tf out of there contract or not

y/n convinces him to stay and stick it out, if not for them then for the prize money at the end

yoongi then asks what dish they’re going to pick for tomorrow, and asks if they can pick something he at least has an idea how to make

cue y/n saying that they were thinking of suggesting one of seokjin’s signature dishes but not knowing if kook would go along w the idea

“he kept trying to switch out our ingredients for banana milk and i don’t know how to tell him to knock that shit off”

“honestly you know i’m not one to take charge but he wasn’t even listening to me!! what’s to say he’s actually going to listen to the PROFESSIONAL chef here to help us??”

cue y/n whining about how they wanted to be on jin’s team and it’s not fair that they both got stuck w jinyoung AND a bratty kid on their team

yoongi sympathizes since he was looking forward to them being on the same team, but makes y/n agree that if he has to give the competition a chance then they have to give kook one too

“i mean yeah he seems like a bit of a dumbass but isn’t that why we’re all here? bc we have no fuckin clue what to do in the kitchen?”

hmm...fine they’ll give him a chance

but they still think he’s a lil shit and don’t really wanna talk to him at all, let alone reach some kinda compromise on what to make

they don’t get much or a choice, though, as they both receive a mysterious message from...jungkook? in another group chat?

the contestants find that they have all been manually added to another gc

except this one is missing the two assistant producers who love to breathe down their necks

everyone but jk is immediately suspicious

is this some of trick to get them to screw up?

to break some kinda hidden clause in the contract none of them actually read?

wasn’t that thing they downloaded supposed to block incoming messages like this?

“but wait, yoongi, then how were we able to…?”

but as of right now, they don’t get any answers

and they’re all too afraid to ask anyone but each other

“well we’re all here so...we might as well get to know each other right?? :D”

this is where we get our first in-depth look at the four people stuck on this show together, who in their lives nominated them and why

(y/n and yoongi’s lying skills are put to a bit of a test as they each rush to pull stories right out of their asses)

kook talks about bambam and says his nomination said smth about “adding banana milk to everything f*ckin thing he makes”

he doesn’t really get why that was enough to land him a spot on the show but he thought it would be pretty cool to be on tv and just went along with it

namjoon talks about hobi and emphasizes that he’s not that bad of a cook

he just gets nervous and confused when it comes to recipes and cooking which expresses itself in the form of his unabashed clumsiness

joon then asks if they’ll really be prevented from having any outside communication until filming is finished

he, like yoongi, questions the legality of deceitfully installing the block on their phones

y/n says there probably was some kind of hidden clause that allowed them to do that, as they “can’t imagine seokjin would take part in a competition that abuses its contestants”

to which joon replies that they don’t actually know seokjin so they can’t really ‘imagine’ anything about how he will or won’t act

right as yoongi is about to jump in and tell him to back off, jungkook decides that that’s way too much legal talk for him

he forces changes the subject back to the gc as a whole and says that even if they’re prevented from talking to their friends he’s happy they’ll “at least have each other :D”

y/n feels like part of that is directed at them and feels bad for how they thought he was ‘just a dumb kid’ before

namjoon, however, is still hesitant

he’s not sure if this chat could get them in trouble in regards to the show and their contract and what not and says that they all should probably delete it just to be safe

but that is unanimously vetoed by y/n and kook (and yoongi, reluctantly) and they decide that if the block allowed it to pass through then it must be allowed

before joon can argue anymore, they all receive a message from tae in the ‘official’ gc

he briefly explains the lights out policy of the dorms and tells them that they’re probably going to want a good night's sleep for their ‘big day’ tomorrow

yoongi then says smth like “well...guess that’s lights out then” and jk responds excited as ever w “night guys!! see you all in the morning! :)”

and y/n can feel their soul leaving their body for even thinking anything ill about him

day 2

contestants are woken up bright and early by alarms they didn’t set

(“oh great, so they just hijacked every app on our fucking phones then”

jimin tells them all to hurry up, get dressed, and meet the chauffeur outside bc they can’t afford to be late

(“literally! every second you waste is money docked from the network’s wallet! so get your asses in gear, guppies!”)

y/n and kook get outside first, but yoongi and joon are nowhere to be seen

y/n decides to text the q & a gc to get the dirt on seokjin

they kinda start sucking up to jimin and tae to see if they’ll reveal any info, particularly about what the chef is like and if it’s possible for him to talk to the ‘other’ team’s contestants

and while the producers are pleasantly surprised that one of the contestants actually want to use that gc for something other than yelling at them

they unfortunately can’t give much info besides what most people already know

and confirm that one of the chefs talking to the other’s students was probably not allowed, but that it’s also never really happened before so they’re not really sure lmao

(“taehyung!!” “what? was i not supposed to say that?”)

jimin cuts the conversation short there as yoongi and joon arrive and they all get on the shuttle for the set

taehyung does say one last thing tho

“good luck!! hopefully they don’t tear u up too bad!”

but first

our superfan gives us the downlow on the competition and how it works

after being split into teams, the contestants will rotate between ‘training’ w their chef and competing against each other in timed trial rounds

prizes can be won for both events, but the ones for the trial rounds are generally more competition based while the ones for the training rounds are more about luxury/quality of life while filming

each trial round win counts as a point towards the team’s score in the competition

only trial rounds affect this score

once a certain number of points has been reached (5), that team moves into the next phase of the competition

instead of working as a team, they are split up and now have to work against each other to win the favor of their chef

and in the finale, after one last big cookout competition, an individual winner is chosen and crowned a ‘former’ worst chef in seoul

once the contestants arrive on set, the chefs reiterate that today is just a training round

(they all let out a collective sigh of relief)

and it’s a good thing everyone woke up so early bc they’re just in time to learn how to make breakfast!!

“it’s not like we had much of a choice-oof.”

“anyway! team jyp, since you won the pretrial round yesterday, you get to decide what both teams will be learning how to make today. so, y/n, jungkook. think carefully. what do you want for breakfast?”

y/n is about to suggest seokjin’s signature strawberry and cream crepes when jungkook, who is still half asleep, blurts out “omelette”

(also i’ve decided that jackson is the host of the show now and i’m not changing my mind)

and it’s decided. they’re makin’ omelettes

shuffled off to their separate kitchens, y/n is reminded of just how terrified they are of jinyoung

sure, they thought he was scary yesterday when they realized they were on his team, but now he has to actually teach them and they can’t help but think he’s going to make them into an idiot sandwich by the end of the day

as such, they try to keep half-asleep kook in between them and jinyoung at all costs, even if it meant running around the kitchen like a lost puppy

jinyoung, fully aware of how the show portrays him and how fans view him, notices this almost instantaneously

but he unfortunately doesn’t get to pull y/n aside to address it before jungkook starts digging through the fridge for banana milk and almost throws the entire carton of eggs on the floor

professional chef jyp mode: on

and they’re off

it’s a little difficult with y/n dancing around the kitchen anxiously and jungkook’s absolute aversion to being told what to do (as y/n predicted), but jinyoung manages to whip them into shape long enough to (barely) make a ham, cheese, and “green onion? wtf is that?” omelette

team seokjin, however, does not favor as well

yoongi apparently doesn’t know what tf a green onion is either and just throws in whatever green vegetable he can find while jin is struggling to keep namjoon from setting himself on fire

….and it turned out to be celery

that, plus joon somehow managing to burn the omelette to a crisp, costs them the training round

y/n and kook start to celebrate their victory and actually working as a team when jackson informs them that their ‘prize’ is they get to eat what they cooked while the other team gets whatever is left over on the catering table

and y/n immediately PANICS and tries to explain that NO, it’s not HIM but yoongi saves their ass by saying that seokjin is just their favorite and that’s all

jungkook feels better, but then namjoon is like “hol up. we all just met. how could you possibly know that?”

insert more y/n fumbling and jk confusion

yoongi (once again) covers w some bullshit story that he was able to just guess that based on what y/n’s said in the gc so far

joon wants to question it further, but jungkook informs them that the lights out call just came in before he can

in private, y/n freaks out to yoongi for almost blowing their cover to the others

prompting a short conversation over whether they think they can trust them or not

y/n admits that they’re warming up to kook, but is a little suspicious if namjoon will keep their secret yet

I literally have had so much irl stuff going on these past years (especially the recent years- 2020, anyone?) that I just didn’t have time or efforts to post anything. Phichit lifted his hand in greeting as he made his way towards the skating idol.The Thai skater was currently in Russia for a skating competition. So of course, he made sure to pay a short visit (okay, so maybe he more like clung on and never let go) to his best friend, Katsuki Yuuri (who was now being coached in Russia by said skating idol/best friend stealer).In all seriousness though, Phichit had no problems at all with Victor Nikiforov. Even though he barely knew the guy (other than what was based on the idol's social media, his best friend Yuuri's obsession with skating coach/competitor/fiance and his own few handfuls of personal interactions) he could pretty much say that the silver-haired Russian was perfect.A little TOO perfect.Perfect enough that it made Phichit want to know if there were other sides to The Perfect Victor Nikiforov.So while Phichit was on break, (Yakov generously gave Celestino permission to share the rink- although it could have definitely have been because of Yuuri and that his smol son was 110% the Russian coach's favorite student) and said traitor of a best friend had abandoned him to go hang it with Russian Yuri (Phichit's not hurt by this at all, nope) the Thai skater decide that this was the best time to get to know Victor better.You know, for friendly purposes. Not to reveal any dirty, dark secrets of the older skater that he could possibly use against him as blackmail if the idol ever chose to break Yuuri's heart or anything.Of course not.So when he called for the other's attention, Victor put down his the water bottle he had been drinking and looked towards the approaching Thai. "Ah, yes-up!" The silver-haired man smiled, letting out a tiny hiccup at the end of his sentence.Phichit grinned as he skidded to a stop in front of the other skater. Even hiccuping, the other was cute."Ah, it's nothing..." Phichit started, stretching out his arms behind his back. "It's just that I realized that even though you're engaged to my best friend and all, I never really had the chance to get to speak to you one on one. You know like fiance to best friend/mama bear." Phichit told him with a smile that silently spoke a thousand years.Victor froze and looked at Phichit with cautious new eyes.The Thai skater continued to smile as he spoke. "So just to be sure that we're on the same page...I just wanted to know- how do you really feel about MY Yuuri?" Phichit's normally bright voice took on a serious tone after that as he narrowed his eyes at the other, "Because if you're just playing around with him than I swear I'll-"With no hesituation, Victor blurted out, "I l-urrrp! love him!" Phichit blinked as the 'love confession' was interrupted by an unexpected short but loud burp by the other.But instead of excusing himself like Phichit expected the idol to do, Victor pushed on."Yuu-urrrp! is an ange-ullp! beyond any comparrrrp!ison on this world! Beforrrpp! him, I-ulllp! ullp! was lost and was won-ullp! UrrRRPP! wondering if I should-ullp! continue skat-urrrp!ing or-ullp! not!"Phichit just watched the other in gross astonishment as the older skater sang Yuuri's praises to him with pauses of weird hiccuppy-burps along the way. The Thai could barely understand the words coming out of the other's mouth by the way.Phichit had to bite his tongue at one point to keep himself from laughing when Victor injected his love a little TOO hard and ended up forcing out a huge belch in the process.He wondered if the skating idol knew how...well, disgusting he was being- if Phichit were being completely honest.He thought that maybe the idol was unaware of the bouts of gas or if he just didn't care.Phichit decided to go with the latter when everyone in the rink just ignored the other's obvious hiccup-burps (and they were way too loud to not be noticed by everyone around).Actually, Phichit did notice Yuuri sending his fiancé a fond exasperated look as he shook his head while Russian Yuri at his side just swore loudly at Victor before rolling his eyes and continuing his chat with Phichit's best friend (really, Phichit decided right then and there that he was gonna have a chat with the blonde next- just to make sure that they were all on the same page on who Katsuki Yuuri's BFF truly was.)"Victor." Phichit finally cut into the other's tirade."Yes-ullp?" Victor had been hiccuping more in the last few minutes.Making sure to keep a straight face, Phichit held out his hand."Okay." He said finally."Okay...?" Victor repeated unsurely, for once no hiccups or burps coming out."I give you my blessing to marry my...our Yuuri." Phichit told him solemnly. The Thai then couldn't help but let out a small chuckle when the other whooped in happiness and furiously pulled him into a huge hug."Oh thank you-uuurrRRRRPPPPPP!" Victor yelled, with a particularly wet belch following at the end.That was it.Phichit burst out laughing at the GINORMOUS burp that came out of the other's mouth. It was really the loudest and wettest one yet.Clueless as to what set the Thai skater off, Victor asked him what was so funny. But Phichit just grinned, waving him off as Yakov yelled at Victor to stop slacking off, finally made aware that the silver-haired skater hadn't been doing his practice laps like he was supposed to.Phichit watched as Victor skated away and shook his head.Well. He felt like he truly got to know a whole different side to Victor Nikiforov all right. But, oh well- he'll just keep the other's cute and kinda gross side to himself and not make a post about it on his social media accounts.For now anyway.With a light feeling in his skates, Phichit whistled as he made his way towards the two Yuri's for yet another 'friendly' confrontation.
