How do Car Rims Work and Why do They Matter?
Car rims are often overlooked when it comes to discussing a vehicle's performance and aesthetics. However, they play a critical role in ensuring a smooth and safe driving experience. Car rims are an integral component of a vehicle's functionality and visual appeal. They serve important functions that contribute to a smooth and safe driving experience.
The function of Car Rims
Car rims serve several important functions that directly impact the overall performance and safety of a vehicle:
Tire Support and Stability: One of the primary functions of car rims is to provide support and stability to the tires. Rims hold the tires in place and distribute the weight of the vehicle evenly across the tire's surface. This ensures better traction and grip on the road, especially during acceleration, braking, and cornering.
Mounting Point for Tires: Car rims act as the mounting point for the tires, securing them to the vehicle's axle. They provide a strong connection that allows the tires to rotate smoothly while maintaining their position. Properly mounted rims ensure the tires stay in place, reducing the risk of accidents or tire dislodgment.
Shock Absorption: Rims absorb a significant portion of the impact and vibrations generated by uneven road surfaces. They help minimize the transfer of these forces to the vehicle's suspension system and improve the overall comfort of the ride.

Why Car Rims Matter
Now that we understand the function and types of car rims, let's delve into why they matter to car owners:
Aesthetics and Personalization:
Car rims significantly contribute to the overall aesthetics of a vehicle. With a wide range of designs, finishes, and sizes available, rims allow car owners to personalize and customize their vehicles according to their preferences. The right set of rims can enhance the visual appeal and make a lasting impression.
Maintenance and Durability:
Car rims, including wire wheels, require regular maintenance to ensure their longevity and performance. Using wire wheel brushes or other appropriate cleaning tools, car owners can effectively remove dirt, brake dust, and debris that accumulate on the rims. This not only keeps the rims looking clean and shiny but also helps prevent corrosion and damage that can compromise their durability.
Safety and Durability:
Car rims are essential for ensuring tire safety and durability by securely attaching the tires to the vehicle, providing stability, and preventing tire dislodgement or blowouts, while also protecting against corrosion and damage, leading to longer tire lifespan and safer driving.
Customization Options:
Car rims come in various sizes, designs, and finishes, offering a wide range of customization options. This allows car owners to choose rims that match their personal style and preferences. From 13x7 wire wheels to 14x7 wire wheels, there are different sizes available to fit different vehicles. Lowrider wire wheels, known for their larger diameters and wide whitewall tires, are favoured by those looking to achieve a specific look for their lowrider vehicles.
Resale Value:
Upgrading or customizing car rims, such as opting for knock-off wire wheels, can add value to a vehicle. Well-maintained and visually appealing rims can make a positive impression on potential buyers. Additionally, high-quality rims that are in good condition can command a higher resale price.
Car rims are not just aesthetic accessories; they are integral to the safety, performance, and overall driving experience of a vehicle. From providing support and stability to enhancing the visual appeal and customization options, car rims matter in more ways than one. When choosing rims, consider factors such as functionality, style, durability, and compatibility with your vehicle. Invest in rims that not only complement your car's look but also enhance its performance and safety on the road.

FNAF Movie / / Vanessa x F!Reader [Jealousy Hurts]
Tumblr media
(gif by me)
Mike starts to flirt with you. Vanessa definitely isn't jealous. Contents: Fluff, Angst(ish), Established Relationship Warnings: N/A WC: 2,220
Tumblr media
"No no, like this," Mike laughed as he rolled the ball masterfully, he had been bragging about how good at skee-ball he was so you had asked him to teach you. After all, there wasn't a lot to do on the night shift so you might as well waste some time. Freddy, Bonnie, Chica and Foxy had been standing a few feet away watching the two of you play, each of them seeming curious.
You rolled another ball but it fell short again.
"Ah, I'll never get it," you groaned, already wanting to give up after failing to get a decent score for the past hour.
Mike smiled at you, stepping closer, "No. Come on. Let me show you." He grabbed another ball and showed you the angle of his arm, "It's simple. Just enough strength in the throw, not too much. And..." he released the ball and it swiftly made its way down the lane and up into one of the high score pockets, "Easy."
"You mean you make it look easy," you rolled your eyes at him and folded your arms in frustration.
He chuckled to himself before holding a ball towards you, "Come on. Let me help."
Vanessa sat in her patrol car outside the pizzeria, her fingers tapping on the wheel. She had been sitting here for almost an hour now, deciding on whether or not to go inside. Her eyes drifted to the clock on the dashboard - 02:40am. She'd usually check in on you every other night to make sure you were okay, but tonight she knew you were on shift with Mike... And yet here she was, pondering on whether or not to go in and see how you were doing. She definitely wasn't here to make sure Mike wasn't going to try anything on you... Definitely not.
Finally, she stepped out of her vehicle and slammed the door shut. She went towards the front doors and peered through the glass, she could see that the lights were on and she could hear faint music. She was about to knock but decided to try the door instead... And of course it was unlocked. Vanessa rolled her eyes in frustration, she couldn't count the amount of times she'd told you to make sure the doors were locked every night.
Upon stepping inside, she could hear muffled voices and laughter - she presumed it was from you and Mike. The stage was empty as she walked past it towards the arcade games, she could clearly see the tall animatronics at the back of the room by the skee-ball machines.
She manoeuvred her way past different games and machines, stepping over loose wires here and there making sure not to trip. She finally made it to the skee-ball machines, she patted Freddy on the arm to let him know that she was there. He stepped out of the way to let her through, however she stopped in her tracks at what she saw.
Mike was standing behind you, one of his hands slowly moving up your arm towards your wrist. Your hand soon lay in his palm, a ball was secure in your hand.
"And you just gotta..." Mike's voice was quiet as Vanessa watched him move your hand with his.
Vanessa decided to clear her voice, making herself known. Both you and Mike turned to look at her.
You dropped the ball and retracted away from Mike with a smile, "Vanessa!" you exclaimed with a smile, walking over to her, "I didn't think you were coming tonight."
Vanessa couldn't help but glare at Mike as you approached her and wrapped her up in your arms, she more than willingly returned the hug as you pressed your lips to her cheek.
"I er... I wasn't aware you two knew each other," Mike coughed awkwardly.
You had been working as an overnight security guard longer than Mike had, you met Vanessa in the first week and you two had hit it off pretty quickly - entering into a relationship only a few months after meeting. A couple of months later, another security guard was hired: Mike. You had only worked duo shifts with him a few times now but you already saw him as a close friend, it was nice to have someone to talk to on long night shifts.
"Oh! Yes. I met Vanessa a few days after I started working here," you said as you pulled away from the hug, Vanessa made sure to grab your hand with hers - she tried her hardest to not keep glaring at Mike. You squeezed her hand in response, "She's my girlfriend. Has been for a couple months now." Vanessa couldn't stop the small smile from appearing on her face.
Mike raised an eyebrow, "Ah... I'm just... surprised it never came up," he shifted on the balls of his feet awkwardly.
"To be honest I didn't even know you two met," you replied.
Vanessa nodded, "I helped him out for the first couple of days," she stepped ever so slightly closer to your side, her hand still firm in yours, "I wasn't going to come over tonight but I was... passing by so I decided to anyways." She definitely wasn't passing by, her last area of patrol was on the other side of town.
"Well, I'm glad you came," you smiled.
Vanessa smirked at you, "Oh really? You usually complain, saying something along the lines of 'I don't need you to keep me company every night, I'm a big girl'."
You rolled your eyes, "Just because I don't need you here, doesn't mean I don't want you here," you then turned your attention back towards Mike, who seemed to be uncomfortable, "I'm sure time will absolutely fly by now that there's more of us."
"What were you two up to?" Vanessa said, her mind going back to when Mike was practically wrapped around you.
"Mike over here is apparently the best skee-ball player that anyone has ever seen. So he was teaching me how to play. I'm sure I could challenge him any day now."
Mike laughed, "I'm sure you could, Y/N."
The three of you made your way towards the main stage, the animatronics walked behind you.
"What should we do to get through these last three hours, hm?" you wondered, looking around the room.
"I mean... We are at Freddy Fazbear's after all. Couldn't hurt to watch them perform a little," Vanessa suggested, nodding towards the showtime button on the wall. You looked towards the animatronics, they almost seemed excited to get up there and put on a show.
Tumblr media
You and Vanessa were sitting at one of the party tables, listening to the music coming from the stage. Freddy, Bonnie and Chica were currently performing whilst Foxy stood by your table, he seemed to be enjoying the show.
Vanessa reached across the table to hold your hand, "Sorry for coming here unannounced, Y/N. Just wanted to see how things were going with... Mike."
You nodded, "Him and I became friends quite quickly. It is nice to have someone here when you aren't able to stop by. The animatronics are good company, but it can't hurt to have someone I can actually have a conversation with." You noticed the way Vanessa squeezed your hand ever so slightly as you spoke. You cocked your head at her before teasing, "You're still my favourite, don't worry. I'd rather have you here."
She grit her teeth, "You know, I'm happy you do have someone to keep you company when I'm not here."
A smirk appeared on your face, "Is that so?"
Before Vanessa could answer, Mike walked into the room with a couple of cans in his hands, "I managed to find a vending machine that still worked," he said, handing you a drink. Vanessa gulped hard as she saw him purposefully drag his fingers across yours as you took the drink. He simply placed the other drink on the table in front of Vanessa.
"They aren't out of date are they?" you said, trying to read the scuffed label.
With a shrug, he walked towards the front of the room to take a seat closer to the stage. Foxy followed close behind him before sprinting past him at full speed, jumpscaring him in the process. You couldn't help but laugh at Mike's reaction as he almost threw the can at Foxy.
You released Vanessa's hand in order to open the can, "I mean I am thirsty..." you hummed, a smile on your face.
Vanessa glared at Mike from across the room, "It's Fizzy Faz. It's disgusting."
You noticed that Vanessa was currently glaring at Mike as the man took his seat, "You sure? Is it disgusting or... Do you not want to drink it because of Mike?"
Her eyes snapped onto you, "Because of Mike? Wh-"
"Come on, Nessy," you grabbed her hand across the table once more, placing the can down onto the table, "I've noticed the glaring. What's going on?"
"Nothing is going on, Y/N," she didn't intend for her voice to sound so cold or snappy, but she couldn't help it.
A frown appeared on your face, "V..."
She sighed heavily, "Sorry. Sorry, Y/N. It's nothing, okay? Mike just..."
You had a slight suspicion of what was going on, but you really wanted her to tell you, "You can talk to me, Nessy. You know I won't judge you, right?"
"It's so stupid, Y/N," she laughed, shaking her head.
There was a moment of silence between the two of you, Vanessa's hand rubbed your knuckles as she tried to think about how to word what she was thinking.
You bit your lip before breaking the silence, "Can you play skee-ball?"
Vanessa was confused by the question, "Skee-ball?"
"Yeah. Are you any good at it?"
"I... I haven't played in a while. But I'd say I've still got it."
"Would you like to teach me instead?" you smirked.
Vanessa rolled her eyes, knowing what you were getting at, "Y/N..."
"Come on, Vanessa. Just admit you didn't like seeing Mike teach me like that."
She scoffed, "Can you blame me? Wouldn't you be pissed if you saw someone all up on your girlfriend like that?"
"To be honest I didn't think anything of it in the moment. I'm sorry, I should've been more aware. I wouldn't give you up for anything. You believe me, right?" you said, hoping for her to understand.
With a sigh, Vanessa nodded, "It's okay, Y/N. I didn't think you were in the wrong," her eyes drifted over to Mike who was currently downing his can of Fizzy Faz, a grimace appeared on his face as he slammed the can down onto the table, "You know he likes you, right?" she looked back at you.
You briefly glanced towards him, "I don't think so..."
She laughed slightly, "Of course he does. Those longing looks, the lingering touches. Him holding your hand teaching you how to play skee-ball. It's every cliché in the book."
"Okay, so maybe he does. But I promise to turn him down if anything happens, okay?"
With a nod, she replied, "Okay. Sorry for acting this way."
"I think it's cute. Shows that you care about me."
She almost looked offended, "Cute is not the word I would use to describe me."
You let go of her hand, she was surprised by the sudden lack of touch. You made your way round to sit in the seat next to her, "You are cute, whether you like it or not," you leaned your head on her shoulder.
Vanessa couldn't stop herself from resting her cheek against your head. The two of you looked over at the animatronics who were still performing, Foxy now having his own little performance on his own stage.
You stretched your arm across the table to grab your can of Fizzy Faz, you removed your head from Vanessa's shoulder to take a sip...
"It's disgusting."
"Told you," Vanessa smirked in victory, "It's probably years out of date too, I can't imagine what it tastes like."
You put the can back down before turning towards Vanessa, "You should taste it."
"I think I will pass on that, thanks."
"You sure?" you leaned closer.
Vanessa turned her head towards yours. She wasted no time in pressing her lips to yours, a soft smile creeping up onto her face. You smiled into the kiss as you felt Vanessa's hand creep up your neck to hold the back of your head. Sadly, you both needed to breath so she pulled away.
She licked her lips causing your breath to hitch... A grimace soon appeared on her face, "God, it tastes disgusting."
You couldn't help but laugh, "I know."
That didn't stop Vanessa from going in for seconds, though.

Lena squared herself up after she stepped from the elevator.
This has taken considerable work. She’d had to arrange for her absence from boarding school to go unnoticed, or at least, unremarked upon. If Lillian got wind of her running away, she’d have been skinned alive. Perhaps literally. Since her adoptive father’s death, she’d actually looked forward to school, and to being away from Lillian’s abuse. Lex was now the only thing keeping her from Lena, and Lex was preoccupied with his project.
Her brother had been away for school for some time, but they had summers off together at least. When Lex took over the company when he turned 21, he grew distant and aloof, spending more time with his friend Clark or at work than with family.
With his absence came Lillian.
Still, she had managed to build a support network. Frank, her bodyguard-slash-driver was Lex’s man, but he was useful. Lena had spent months buttering him up to participate in her plan: she needed wheels.
In the meantime she’d acquired blackmail material. The head master at the school gave her a broad latitude after she implied that she might expose certain proclivities of his. That gave her the time away she needed. She’d carefully negotiated a higher allowance from Lex in exchange for accelerating her studies in anticipation of beginning her undergraduate studies at sixteen, which was a triviality for her anyway.
Lena walked down the hall, heart pounding against the backpack clutched to her chest. Each step felt heavy, alive with portent.
She could turn back now. She could turn her back now.
What if she was wrong? Paranoid, addled, as crazy as her mother, just like Lillian said? What if she was about to not only blow up her whole life, but slander her brother. If this went sideways, she didn’t know what exactly would happened to her, but Lillian had once, while tipsy on whisky from Lionel’s stash, told Lena that if not for Lex, she’d have Lena garroted with piano wire and buried on the estate, and like any bag of trash, no one would notice she’d been disposed of.
When she told Lex, her hands shook like leaves. He looked at her for a long cold moment and she worried that he’d slap her or scream or throw her out of the house, but he simply said, “I’ll talk to her about it.”
He did. She never made another threat.
He also brought her a wooden box, ornate and polished. Lex sat next to Lena and opened the box, showing her the contents, lying on red velvet. A five shot snub nose revolver and two speedloaders.
“I’ll teach you how to use this,” Lex said, grimly. “I know you’re smart enough to know if you need to. If anyone tries to harm you, kill them. I’ll clean it up.”
Lena had been terrified of it for months, even as she enjoyed the shooting lessons from Lex, given in a remote part of the estate near a burbling creek, the shots cracking the morning peace and shaking dew from leaves.
She had the gun in her backpack, and her hands were shaking.
The other contents of her bag were a weapon far more devastating. She was about to fire it and she’d have to accept the consequences.
Finally, she stood outside the door. Apartment 18B. The name on the lease was Lois Lane, but according to Lena’s reconnaissance, Clark Kent had been living with her virtually full time for the last six months, not long after something changed in his relationship with Lena’s brother.
Lena’s hand hung before the door for a good minute before she knocked, weekly. She hadn’t considered what might happen if they were simply not home. Her legs felt watery and her eyes burned. She knocked again. She was committed now.
The door swung open and Lois Lane stood before her. She was beautiful in an understated way, obscured by limp hair in a chaotic bun, rumpled clothes, and the stink of coffee on her breath.
“Who- what? Kid, what do you want?”
“I need to see Clark Kent. Is he here?”
“Who’s asking?”
“Lena Luthor.”
There was a gust of wind behind her, and Kent stepped into view.
“Lena?” said Clark. “Lex’s little sister? What are you doing here?”
Lena’s throat went tight. She swallowed hard, and as she anticipated, his demeanor changed. He softened. He craned forward slightly, studying her intently, and his brows shot up when looked at her bag.
He was checking her vital signs and he’d spotted the gun. In the bag.
“He knows you’re Superman,” Lena choked out, “and he’s going to kill you.”
Lois glanced at Clark with a stunned, stunned wide expression. Then, she grabbed Lena and yanked her inside, slamming the door. Lena squeaked.
“How do you know that? Lex knows? Did he tell you? What do you mean he wants to kill Clark?”
“Hey,” Clark said, crouching beside Lena to bring himself to her level, resting a comforting hand on her slight shoulder. “Take a breath, Lena. You’re safe here.”
In Lena’s plan, she was going to begin explaining, starting with how she deduced his identity and lay out what she discovered in his files. That was her plan, but no plan survived first contact with the enemy.
Lena began to sob.
Superman knelt beside her and removed his glasses, and enveloped Lena Luthor in a warm, protective hug. She sobbed harder, burying her face in his shoulder.
“Jesus Christ,” Lois whispered.
She drew the gun out of the bag and checked it with professional, practiced familiarity, dumping the shells into her hand.
“I think she’s telling the truth.”
Clark nodded.
Over the next hour, Lena was swept to Lois’s big couch and sat in the middle while the pair sat on either side of her. When she was hungry, Clark went out to get her favorite guilty pleasure meal, a big greasy burger and fries, and a milkshake too. Between bites, she explained everything, telling them about her brother’s insane plan to turn the sun red.
They believed it all. Lena had receipts.
Eventually, Lena was exhausted, everything had been said, and she sat with dull shock on the couch and stared at the black mirror of a blank television set, marveling at how small and helpless she looked, like a drowned rat.
“Why don’t you lay down for a while?” Lois said, gently. “Here, I’ll put something on the TV for you.”
Lena didn’t make it ten minutes in before she was asleep, curled tightly on one end of the couch with a pillow under her head.
She woke sometime later. It was dark now and she heard voices on the far side of the apartment.
“I called Bruce. He said he’s in, and he’s bringing reinforcements. I’m going to try to get a Green Lantern on board. We have to move fast. Nevermind me, if Lex does this, millions of innocent people will die. We’ll have to move fast.”
“What about the girl?” said Lois. “She can’t go home now. We have to get her somewhere safe.”
“I have to get you both somewhere safe. I should probably come up with a reason to get the building evacuated. One Lex realizes he’s been caught out, he’ll come after both of you.”
“You’re right.”
“I want you to go out,” said Clark. “Make it look like you’re heading out to a convenience store. Bruce is sending Alfred to pick you up, he should be here in an hour. I have somewhere else in mind for Lena.”
“Where?”
“It’s better if I don’t tell you, just in case.”
When he emerged from the back bedroom, Clark Kent was resplendent, clothed in the persona of Superman.
“Lena?” he said, gently. “We have to go. I’ll take you somewhere safe, where your brother won’t find you.”
Lois joined him. “You’re going to put on some of my clothes, and I’m going to check your hair. You can’t take anything with you. Lex Luthor might have been tracking you the entire time.”
Lena’s stomach dropped. What if she was right? That might be a move Lex would play, tracking Lena so that he could use her against his enemy. Lex had become cold, single minded. Lena was wondering how long it would be until she was disposable.
“Okay,” said Lena.
“I’m going to have to fly you.”
Lena did as she was told. She put on an outfit that belonged to Lois, a hilariously oversized Gotham U sweatshirt and leggings. When it was time, Superman bundled her up in his cape.
“I’m scared of heights.”
“I would never drop you,” he said.
Lena screamed when he took off. She was glad for the cape, glad she couldn’t see the ground. She curled up around him and pressed her eyes tightly closed, wondering exactly how fast they were going.
The landing came surprisingly fast. He’d alighted on the grassy lawn of a lovely beach house. Lena smelled something baking and heard voices inside. Clark knocked on the door.
A girl, a little older than Lena, opened the door. Golden curls spilled over her muscular shoulders, and she wore an oversized pair of glasses that did nothing to dull the endless depths of her blue eyes. There was something profoundly sad behind the curiosity in those eyes. She looked at Lena with mild confusion.
Lena stared back. There was a wild stirring in her stomach, and she shifted uneasily on her feet.
Then, the girl addressed Clark in a rapid, clipped, and utterly strange sounding language.
It hit Lena like a shockwave.
They were speaking Kryptonian.
“Lena,” said Superman, turning to her. “This is Kara Zor-El, my cousin. The last daughter of Krypton.”

Simon "Ghost" Riley x Fem!Reader
Fandom: Call of Duty
Character(s): Simon "Ghost" Riley, Reader
Summary: All the buildup, all the teasing, finally leads to this: Simon is back and ready to act on all those filthy things you two had been teasing each other with. Will you make it home before you both explode? Or will the car have to do to break the tension?
Word Count: 5.1 k
Warnings:
Tumblr media
Part 2:
Unsteady hands gripped hard into the steering wheel, knuckles white as you tightly held on while headed straight to the military base. Your heart pounding furiously inside your chest, breath quick and short the closer you got, it was nearly impossible to keep your eyes focused on the road. Christ were you gnawing at the bit to get there and once again see that beast of a man, the one keeping you begging for release for the past three months.
Those breathtaking bits of personalized porn you two had sent each other had done nothing other than made that inconvenient ache into a raging monster that could not be quenched. Hours spent furiously working yourselves, silently begging for a little ease in the constant throbbing had gotten nowhere except to drain the battery life on your phones from the constant re-watching of videos.
…though that last photo he sent you of his abdomen covered in his milky white cum after having watched your little romp into amateur pornography had left you feeling on top of the world for a couple days.
And just as you were on that last leg of desperation, finally the light at the end of the tunnel that led up to you driving where you were today. It had been exactly one week from when you got the text you had been waiting on from Simon:
“I’m coming home, baby. Fucking finally; Christ I thought I was going to rub myself raw. Best not wear anything you want to remain intact, you hear me? Cause the minute I get my paws on you, that's it.”
Thank fuck, the suffering was almost over.
That entire week seemed to drag on endlessly, each day crawling through at a snails pace, but here you were now only a few more minutes away from your destination. Even as you checked in at the entrance to the base, antsy and squirming in the seat of your car, you couldn’t believe that you had actually made it.
You took Simon’s message to heart when you got ready that morning, choosing a simple, flowy dress that he could literally shred off of you and you wouldn’t give a shit. It was just long enough that it could easily conceal the fact that you had done away with the panties today, opting for ease of access over anything else, but low cut enough in the front that he could get a nice eyeful of your full chest; you had no idea what would happen the moment you saw each other again and you weren’t taking any chances.
This reunion was bound to be explosive after all the visual edging you two had been doing lately and having to waste even a second more of time before your bodies could be joined felt like a crime.
You walked through the base, heartbeat rapidly increasing with each step as you got closer to where you knew you'd find that hulking Lieutenant hanging around.
And then you turned a corner and there he was like a specter brought back to life, standing idly beside the outside wall smoking as he watched the privates of his troop find their families and suddenly the wind was knocked from you.
“Simon,” you called out to him and he turned to face you.
That instant connection of your eyes felt like a shock from a live wire; Simon could feel the electricity run through his veins and tingle its way up his spine until the first prickles of sweat dotted across his body as his cigarette slipped from his fingers. It felt like he couldn’t breathe and the closer you got the worse it became; you knew what you were doing wearing that pretty little dress.
Fuck did he want to take a bite of those thick thighs he could see just under the hem that popped out every time you took a step and if his hands didn’t get their fill of your breast spilling out of his grip soon, he might just keel over and die. You were more than tempting, you were a feast sent to make him completely lose his goddamn mind.
His entire body was sent into shock as that ache that he had tried to keep from ripping him apart all day as he waited for your arrival overtook him until his balls pulsed and he had to adjust himself or get caught sporting a stiffy that would instantly tent the crotch of his pants and make it even more painfully obvious to any curious eyes just how gone he fucking was.
Coming to a stop you stood before him, your stomach doing back flips as you struggled to form words that weren’t just pleas for him to just rip the waistband of his pants down and take you right then.
“Hey you,” you said through unsteady breaths, trying to keep calm. “Long time no see, huh?”
Simon nodded. “Too fuckin’ long sweetheart. Ya look...” he had to clear his throat, “incredible.” He had to keep it short, there were still too many people about and even his words would cause him to lose composure.
“Well, it is a special occasion after all,” you chuckled. “Got to remind you what you leave behind every time you go.”
The need to take your hand and give it squeeze, that customary greeting that you both did when in public, made him hesitate. If he touched you right now, any bare part that met skin with skin, he may not be able to stop, not once those weathered and brutish fingers got their fill of all that sweet softness. There as still a little time left that he had to be there and the agony was already eating away at him.
“Believe me, I fuckin’ know,” he said as he shot you a look; I’ve been in hell waitin’ to get back to it, it whispered to you.
Taking a few calming breaths, he risked lacing his broad fingers in between the empty spaces in your own. Simon could feel the rapid thump, thump, thump, of your pulse against his palm; good, you were just as excited for this reunion as he was.
Somehow that made it a bit easier, knowing that the feeling was mutual.
“Can we go?” you asked eagerly, hopeful that you were closer to the end of your joint suffering sooner rather than later.
Simon stroked the back of your hand with his thumb. “Gotta be here just a bit longer,” he muttered dejectedly under his breath. “God, I want ya so bad I can’t see straight.”
You squeezed his hand back. “It’ll go fast,” you assured. “And…I mean… no one’s looking this way if you wanted to touch me a little more. Maybe you’ll find something you’ll like.”
It was dangerous, but he took a chance with even more touch as he released your hand and loosely wrapped his arm around your waist, bring you in to him until your hips were touching. You were warm against him, warmer than the day would suggest, and the curve of your hip that he ran his fingers over delicately to retrace the lines he had dreamed about felt even better than he remembered.
Silently you peaked over at his face, watching as his head faced firmly forward to watch for any prying eyes, but it was clear he hadn’t noticed it yet. Not wanting to spoil the surprise, you kept quiet; he’d figure it out eventually. Those exploring fingers were beginning to stray more towards the back of you to the small dip at the base of your spine.
…and then lower still…
That’s when you felt it; he risked a lingering stroke over the contour of your ass when he noticed it. Where was that distinct seam of your panty line? He had grabbed your backside so many times over the course of your relationship that he knew the feeling of what should have been there. Quickly he ran his hand over the area again and still the same, there was nothing. Christ, you’d really prepared for today, hadn’t you?
Good fuckin’ girl.
His chest began to grow tight with his quickened breathing… along with that engorged appendage down below. He was in fucking trouble now; would he even be able to make it to the car at this point? The moan that desperately tried to escape through his throat he swallowed down, but who knows how long it would stay.
He was in the thick of it now.
Simon leaned down to rest his face against the side of your head, his warm breath still able to be felt against your ear even through the mask. “Fuckin’ hell sweetheart, no panties?” he whispered intrigued. “Christ, how the fuck am I supposed to hang on now?”
You smirked, trying to pick even though you were falling apart at the seams, a wetness gathering between your thighs as you pressed them together. “You complaining? Cause I can head back home and put some on real quick if you want.”
A harsh squeeze along the underside of your ass cheek made you gasp before he removed his hand and gave you your answer. “Don’t you fuckin’ dare,” he warned, a playfully lilt to his tone. “That sweet little pussy is about to be filled and I don’t wanna waste a goddamn second havin’ to rip those fuckin’ things off ya.”
Dear God he was about to fuckin’ explode, say screw it and pin you up against the nearest wall right in front of the entire goddamn squad to plow into your tight, wet cunt with months worth of unrequited need that had built up to this monster of desire churning away inside of him. His teeth bit at the skin of his lower lip, his fists clenching and unclenching as he failed to calm himself while he again checked the time.
The moment that those amber eyes watched the second hand on his watch hit and the minutes change to the millisecond he could be released, his oversized mitt wrapped around your wrist, securing it in his harsh grasp, and quickly he began making his way to your car with you being dragged alongside.
“Where the hell are ya parked?” he questioned in a huff, that gruff voice nothing more than a growl, and you pointed towards the back of the lot in the corner.
You could barely keep up with his intense pace, nearly tripping over your own feet several times to match his long strides. It didn’t help that your heart was pounding furiously, nearly beating out of your chest the closer you got to being in a tight, secluded spot with him; could you even make it back to his apartment?
All signs were pointing to not a fucking chance.
Simon only released you so that you could both get inside, separating at the tail of the vehicle with you headed towards the driver side and him the other. The slam from the car door rung through the interior of the vehicle and before you could even insert the key into the ignition, Simon had moved in silent as a specter to place his large palm against the side of your cheek. The endless ache he had endured over the past months apart had been unbearable as you both edged each other to the brink of insanity and now that he was so close to you again it felt like he was in a dream.
The tension that suddenly filled the car was overwhelmingly electric as Simon closed what little distance there still sat between you both, his hand moving to the back of your head. Those bulky, calloused fingers that had missed having any part of you against them laced themselves through your hair with harsh abandon, pulling your face closer.
He held your head steady and pointedly at his face so that you had to stare into his intense, unwavering gaze; it made your skin tingle with anticipation of what was on the horizon and barreling down fast. Those sparkling brown eyes drew you in to hold your own captive as he drug his thick thumb across the length of your bottom lip as if to test that all this was actually real. His entire hand palmed the back of your head which left you completely at his mercy, not that you were complaining.
After all, you needed him just as badly.
Without warning he wrenched the bottom hem of his balaclava up over the top of his head and off his face before his mouth crashed violently against your own, hungry and greedy to steal kiss after fiery kiss from those soft, supple lips he had been eyeing with a burning desire to ruin since the minute he saw you again. Desperately his tongue parted your lips as he plunged it inside your mouth to reclaim it.
God it felt euphoric to finally be given the very thing you had been aching for for months, feeling as if your body had pined for his for an eternity, as it was finally released from it’s torture. And by the way his tongue was nearly shoved down the back of your throat you knew Simon felt that same kind of relief and it only spurred him on further.
“Fuck,” he groaned against your parted lips, nothing but hot, sticky breath being shared. “Ugh…fuck, baby, I’ve missed you so goddamn much I thought I was gonna fuckin’ die before I could feel ya again.”
Crawling over the small console in the center between the car seats, Simon shoved his body weight into you, making your smaller frame slam against the driver-side door. The raised panelling along the inside dug roughly into the muscles of your back as the backside of your head was shoved harshly into the glass of the window. There was no pause in his assault of your mouth until your lips began to burn from the constant contact and yet even the pain still felt like heaven.
He tasted so strongly of tobacco from the chain of cigarettes he must have smoked to calm his nerves until you arrived, but even through the distinct flavor you still drank every last drop of him down like you would cease to function without him.
Those thick digits of his free hand eagerly pawed at your supple thighs until he was able to divide them so that his hand could slip in between. There was a damp heat gathered near your unclothed sex and it only made him more wild to feel it. His palm cupped around your entire mound and you whimpered directly into his mouth.
“Fuck,” he hissed one of the only words he could recall in that moment as the damp heat filled his palm. “All for me?”
Words, what the hell were they again? You couldn’t remember how speech worked as you were far too busy try to simply breathe through the conquering of your body by him. All you could do was mewl like a kitten as he massaged the petals of your cunt before taking his middle finger and slipping it between them. Your back arched in a jolt as he ran one finger along the length of your cunt, mouth falling agape as Simon gathered as much of your juices on his finger as he could.
Even this small amount of contact already had you dripping and coming apart at the seams; it had been so long since you had felt that familiar touch and pressure against your clit, the one that only he could provide.
Simon couldn’t help himself once he got his first real feel again of how soft and slick you were, goddamn it had been too long that he’d only been able to play with himself, and greedily he drew upon your clit in concise circles with the pad of his rough finger. There was a second where he tried to remain calm, to take his time drawing out your pleasure as he would normally do, but as your back arched and your breathy music filled the silence of the car, he could not hold off from unleashing weeks of pent up need onto you.
Removing his lips from your own, he moved down to the soft skin of your neck with teeth ready to leave the flesh marked with his seal. It burned him alive with desire at the thought that he would be able to see your pretty skin marred by him, that everyone who came in to contact with you in the coming days after today would see it too.
You could not stop the way your body writhed and squirmed as his finger collected a friend to join it and spread your entrance open so they could both slide inside. The heightened tension of the moment with the man you had yearned for only made you more sensitive and the way his fingers filled your tight, aching hole after it had been left empty for too long thrilled you. As natural as breathing, your hips ground down on his fingers, using them as your own living dildo.
God, he wanted nothing more than for you to ride his cock as well as you rode his fingers just now and send him straight to hell. Shit, he couldn’t catch his breath, his need was just too much. “That’s it. Use me; make my fingers yours.”
Both of your hands moved to behind your head and onto the window; you needed more leverage to ground onto him harder, as hard as you could. Nothing compared to him, not your own fingers, not a toy; you could not stop yourself. You could feel the condensation already gathering on the glass as you moved and you had to wipe it away so that you could get better purchase on the surface so you wouldn’t slide.
There was nothing that was going to ruin this.
“Oh god, baby,” you squeaked out as that overwhelming deep warmth of your release gathered in your abdomen.
The corners of his mouth upturned against your neck at the sound of you falling apart because of him. Images conquered in his mind about your moans and cries reaching outside the car so that anyone who walked by would hear them before they caught a glimpse of the show. Why wouldn’t he want to show you off like this? You looked so fucking beautiful falling apart to his ferocity.
Just the way your muscles strained and your cries became more pathetic, Simon knew you were close. “Are ya gonna come for me already, pretty girl?” his gruff voice purred against your collar bone. “Come on then, give it to me. Clench down on my fingers. Let me feel it.”
Pumping his fingers in and out of you, keeping the pace as steady as he could, he felt those velvety walls flutter around his digits as he rocked his upper body with you to simulate the movements he’d soon be doing when he was really inside you. The air was so thick with moisture it almost felt hard to breathe right, the windows filmed with the stuff as with a few more strokes at your clit you came hard and fast, shaking as he continued to work you until ever single ounce of your orgasm had been spent.
Simon was gone then, replaced by a feral beast fueled by his ability to make you come… and wanting to do it again, but this time with his cock.
He pulled those thick fingers out of you, glistening with the wetness of your cum and brought them to his lips. You watched wide eyed as he stuck them in his mouth and licked them good and clean; goddamn you tasted just as delicious as he remembered. Could you blame the man? You had kept him starving since your video popped up on his phone and he had to get a bit of it all.
“I need more of ya,” he groaned in whispers as he leaned back into you, desperate hands pawing at your breast still sadly inside your dress as he kissed you again, now with the taste of you on his breath.
“We need to move, someone’s bound to come see what all the noise is about,” you said, able to think a little more clearly now that you had come once, but Simon was still gone and there was only one thing that would bring him back.
“Don’t care, can’t wait. Get in the back. Now.”
The primal growl in his gruff voice was enough to make you comply without another word; once was not enough anyway, not after how you had suffered. You needed to be filled with more than his fingers. With a nod you immediately began climbing over the cushions towards the backseat of the car as he got out and moved into the back with you. You leaned back into the front long enough to shove the seats forward all the way to give you more space.
Simon needed room to work.
Scooting over, he planted himself directly in the middle of the back seat and pulled you over top of his lap to straddle him, shins digging into the edge of the cushion. Shit, he as so hard you couldn’t properly sit over top of him without leaving a wet spot right where his cock tented the fabric.
Clothes could be washed, as if he would care at all if anything got on him right now. Pushing your hips down, he made you grind your overstimulated clit hard on that throbbing shaft and you mewled into his face. A devilish grin spread from ear to ear as he rocked your hips to dry hump him.
“Someone ‘ere begged to be bred and that’s what she’s gonna fuckin’ get,” he hissed, sucking in the air harshly between his teeth at the feeling of you on top of him. “Can’t take it back now, luv. I have been fuckin’ dreamin’ of doin’ this, ever since you sent me that goddamn video and I ‘eard you say those sweet fuckin’ words. Been fuckin’ gnawin’ at the bit to stuff you full.”
Taking both of his hands, he pulled at the low neckline of your dress until your breasts came spilling out of the top. Angling his face in, he placed his nose right between the two to suffocate himself within them. There was a hint of your perfume still lingering there, that scent he had bought you for your birthday last year, the one that occasionally lingered on his clothes and had done for the first couple weeks of his mission.
The flesh was so enticing that he sucked in the supple top of one breast before he bit down, not enough to break the skin, but enough that it would definitely leave a nice red outline of his teeth; more signaturea that you could both admire.
“Simon,” you moaned his name.
Your own hands roamed up under his shirt, pushing the fabric up until you reached his chest and you could run your hands over the sparse bit of hair you adored; it would be so nice to get to nuzzle against it again. As your fingers ran between his pectorals you could feel the moment his breath hitched.
“Please, Simon,” you begged. “I need it.”
Those breasts he would get back to later, your words brought him back and his need to fuck you senseless slammed into him full force.
Rushed, he laid you back over the console between the seats as he sat up and forward, undoing his belt before ripping his pants down enough that he could pull his cock out of his boxers. The angle was slightly awkward, but as he aligned the leaking head of his phallus with your entrance and gave that first thrust to fully enter you, everything else fell away.
“Oh fuck…fuck… oh fuck,” that deep agonized whimper echoed through the car as Simon’s hands bore down his grip on the top of the seat cushions. “Goddammit, luv…s-shit…ah…”
Nothing, absolutely nothing in this fucking world could ever compare to the way your body felt wrapped around his cock: how silky and warm and tight it was. There was no way with his limited brain function could he accurately describe how mind-numblingly amazing it was to be inside you again. Those restless nights where he just couldn’t seem to stay satisfied, the pictures and video that made it worse, the dreams that woke him to stained boxers, it was all undone in that moment as your soft walls held him snugly.
Your head flew back over the lip of the console as he filled you completely to the hilt, stretching you out to your limit. It was almost too much after so much time apart, but goddamn was it exactly as you had wanted. You swallowed the saliva gathering in your mouth, wanting to say the words you had first brought to life in your video, but in person this time.
“Breed me, please Simon. I need you to fucking breed me.”
Never had a more beautiful sentence ever been spoken to him in all his years than to hear your desperate and depraved voice telling him to claim you in the most ultimate way; it was even more beautiful in person than it was that first time he heard it. His fingernails nearly tore holes in the seat as gripped with all this strength to stop himself from coming too fast from all the excitement.
The car began to shake forward and back as Simon snapped his hips into you with a feverish intensity. Even within the first few minutes he was already pussy drunk, slamming into you with a feral roughness that left his rhythm scattered for a bit as his brain only had one objective now: to come.
Your legs were absolutely burning and shaking from the intensity as you had to spread them wide so that he could fit in between, but it didn’t matter; you would have done anything to have him reclaim your cunt as his own again.
The scent of sex was heavy in the air of that enclosed space, the wet slapping sounds of two bodies connecting in that most erotic way keeping the beat.
Yet there was still one more thing he wanted, one more thing that he had been daydreaming about all by his lonesome. Even in this cramped space, he was determined to make it happen- for both of you. His hands were on your legs and before you knew what was happening, he had pulled out of you so that he could situate your calves up on his broad shoulders.
As he thrust back in, the new position helped him reach even deeper until he completely bottomed out. Goddamn it was like you could feel him in your stomach, so full with him that you were completely one being.
“F-fuck…” you stammered out the cry, choking on your words as you writhed uncontrollably. It was almost too much.
“There ya go baby,” he groaned as he started rocking his hips again, unable to contain himself at this consuming euphoria. “Gotta make good on my fuckin’ promise.”
He took you even rougher now, gripping into your hips hard enough to leave purple fingerprints where his hands rested as he pounded into you furiously, your body contorted and at his mercy. The windows of the car were completely fogged over now, the condensation not letting any clear visuals in or out as the axel squeaked with the force of Simon’s thrusts. The console you were still laid on scraped across your back to make it burn as your body was rocked, but the angle was so perfect that the stimulation made your brain blank to anything that wasn’t your second release creeping up on you quick.
There were no more words that could be said as you both devolved into beings hell bent on pleasure alone, just the depraved sounds of grunting and moans filling up the interior to capacity; that growing warmth in your belly nearly reaching its peak
Goddammit, he was closer than he thought due to all the pent up desire he'd been unable to sait for weeks, but he had to be sure you were almost there again too. "Are ya close?" he asked as more of a plea than a question, hips snapping desperately with a shudder as he was losing the battle to his orgasm.
"Yes," you groaned back. "Don't stop, please."
He closed his eyes tight, working to stay from blowing until he felt your thighs twitch and clamp down around him, keeping him locked in. A few more sloppy thrusts slipping through the cum covering your cunt, a few more bumps against your swollen clit, and that was it. The warmth shot through your limbs, coursing like electricity as you came once more.
"Yes, yes, yes!" you cried out and finally he let go and fuck did he come with a roar that stung your ears.
Simon's body convulsed, the muscles in his abdomen tensing and straining as he released weeks and weeks of need. You took it all riding out your orgasms in tandem until you both lay still a moment, simply breathing after such an explosive ending.
He moved back into the seat exhausted, pulling your body along with him as you stayed connected. Lightly he pushed up your dress to press his raw lips to your stomach to kiss down the lower half of your body. Each embrace was another silent praise he gave while he took deep breaths through the high of his ecstasy until his rapidly pounding slowed and he could final re-wet his dry mouth to speak.
“Fuck, I think we both needed that one,” he said against your skin, his warm breath wafting over the fine spread of moisture along your torso, making you tingle as he kept his cock buried inside. “Ya did so good for me sweetheart.”
You reached a hand out to him and he helped you to sit up and into his lap. Wrapping your arm around his neck you pulled him into a deep kiss, letting your mouths linger together with eyes closed for a few moments as you both finished coming down.
“I’m glad your back,” you whispered as your lips parted.
He cupped your cheek with his palm, staring back into your eyes as he smiled. “I’m glad to be back too,” he returned. "And I'm gonna make sure that I make up for all that lost time."

Hangster AU -- Firefighter Bradley & Best Buy Employee/Aviator Jake
AU where Bradley is a firefighter and Jake is still an aviator. Jake is on a long leave, probably because of the mission, and he takes another job to pass the time. He works at Best Buy.
Bradley comes to Best Buy to buy something, he's still in uniform, so Jake knows where he works at. And they snark at one another, but Jake manages to throw the box of what Bradley needs at him, smirking all the time.
---
"Can we stop debating the merits of 10 different wires and connectors and just give me the box, please," Bradley said exasperated as he held a hand out for the box this Ken doll was holding.
"Sure, here, catch," Jake said shrugging throwing the box lightly at him. "No need to get as red as your fire truck."
Bradley groans, rolls his eyes, and walks away. He was never wearing his fire department shirt in public ever again.
---
Bradley put his keys on in his bronco. And turn it. Engine sputtering.
"Oh come on," Bradley muttered, moustache twitching.
He stepped down again on the brake and clutch, twisting the key. Nada. Bradley groaned and hit his head on the steering wheel wondering who the fuck to call.
He jumped when he heard a knock at the window, seeing Ken doll, looking sympathetic.
He opened the door.
"Need a jump?" Ken-doll asked.
Bradley, sighed, "Yes please."
"Give me a sec to bring my car over."
"Thank you." ---
"Man, you've been having issues with the lights and radio, too? But you just replaced the bulbs, right?"
Bradley deeply sighed and rubbed the space between his eyes, "Yeah."
"That's fucked up, man, good luck, better bring it to the shop for the wiring."
"No comment on the wires on this one?"
"Car wiring is a whole another thing I ain't gonna touch, too much of a headache for me," Ken-doll said, flicking the toothpick in his mouth to the side.
"How do you know so much about wires, anyways? You work with it a lot at Best Buy?" Bradley said going back inside his truck to try to start it.
"Nah, not really, I studied engineering, and my other job. You pick some stuff up along the way."
"You studied engineering and you work at Best Buy!?" Bradley said fingers slipping from the ignition.
"Anything wrong with that?" Ken-doll said, raising a brow.
"No, I mean-- Oh look the car's starting," Bradley said flustered. "Thank you, man, I'm Bradley Bradshaw by the way, incase you need anything, I'm by the fire station." Bradley said holding out his hand.
"It's Jake, and if you need anything from electronic goods to repair, come to Best Buy for a wonderful service," Jake said shaking his hand and winking.
"Should add auto-repair to that slogan."
---
A series of events caused them to meet again. And they hit it off, go one dates and all that.
Jake likes listening to Bradley's stories about his job, and Jake tells him about some crazy customers he had to deal with.
Bradley never asked about Jake's previous job/other job, and Jake,,, forgot.
---
One day, Bradley's station gets a call for a jet having to do an emergency crash landing. And they have to make sure that the area is clear and be prepared for anything that might happen. If the pilot gets stuck or something gets lit on fire.
And they're listening in on the radio with the pilot and pilot's instructor telling him what to do. Calm, steady, smooth, and knowledgeable.
Familiar.
They arrive on scene, get the pilot out, and the instructor comes eventually in a rush.
"Is my pilot, okay?" A familiar voice asked.
"Yeah, we're getting him checked out at the hospital, nothing severe."
He hears the man sigh, "Good."
The man turns the corner, and his eyes flickered to Bradley for a moment, before focusing back on the fire captain.
"I'm Lieutenant Commander Seresin, thank you for helping during this incident."
---
"You work in the Navy!?"
"Yeaahhh--"
"You didn't tell me!?"
"I forgot!"
A pause.
"Also does the team know we're dating?"
"The station? No, why?"
"Wanna mess with them?"
"I'm listening."

Bad For Business: Level Two
Tumblr media
Steve Harrington x fem!reader [2K] An enemies to lovers au. Arcade coworkers, who love to hate each other, get too competitive about Dig Dug and share a mutal annoyance for the kids that like to pester them. Choose your own adventure by picking an option at the end of the chapter. “I’m gonna need you to stay late tonight,” Murray said through a mouthful of his sandwich. You startled, realising he was talking to you. Robin sunk down in her seat, her eyes trained on her microwaved pasta. “The games are getting serviced, but they’re not gonna be done until, pshh, midnight? Maybe.”
“What?” You stared at your boss, your own lunch forgotten about. “But Robin was working that, wasn’t this already, uh, discussed?”
“Buckley has a medical appointment,” Murray replied, too busy staring at some coffee stained sheets of paper to give you any attention. “And I don’t like to pry into my employees personal lives, so, you’re it, kid.”
You turned, neck snapping to the girl. She was already grimacing, knowing fine well that you knew there was absolutely no appointment. Your friend had spent all week gushing about a date she had at the weekend, you just assumed it was Sunday, not Saturday, seeing as she was already on the rota for the late shift.
“Oh no. I hope you’re not too sick, Robin,” you said through clenched teeth.
The girl sunk further down, her nose level with the table and her lukewarm pasta. She had the good grace to wince and mouth ‘sorry’ at you, eyes wide and apologetic.
“Anyway, you and Harrington can utilise your time and do something productive, like cleaning the popcorn machine,” Murray waved a hand, distracted, knocking his coffee mug dangerously close to the computer.
The popcorn machine hadn’t worked since 1973 but you didn’t bother mentioning that, too hung up on the other name that Murray had lumped yours with. “Harrington?” You glared between your boss and Robin, who was now positively morose. “Steve? Steve’s on the late with me? No. No.”
Murray laughed, a mean cackle that told you there wasn’t really any point in arguing, but you tried anyway. “Murray, please, c’mon. Can’t Argyle do the late? Carver? Literally anyone else?”
The man snorted, finally turning on his computer chair, the wheels protesting and he was grinning at you, gaze amused through his wire rimmed glasses. “They’re busy.”
“So am I!” You attempted, voice cracking.
“You owe me approximately…” he turned back to his desk, rifling through the mess there until he produced what looked to be your timesheet. You bit back a swear. “…five hours this week. And that’s not including the forty minutes you were late this morning, so, I think we can compromise on you doing the late and keeping your job, alright?”
You didn’t say anything, just turning back on your chair to slump down to Robin’s level, arms folded and eyes stormy. The girl knocked your ankle with her own, mouthing another apology across the table, and if it weren’t for the fact she’d been trying to work up the courage to ask Nancy out for months now, you would’ve definitely have done something childish, like knock her pasta off the table.
But you didn’t. You were fine. It was fine.
“Make sure you lock up properly when you leave,” Murray reminded you unnecessarily, ‘cause that was Argyle’s bad habit, not yours. “And play nice with Steven - but not too nice.” He ruffled your hair as he passed, already leaving for the day despite the fact there was four hours left of opening. “There’s cameras everywhere, and some of them actually work. We don’t gotta see that, and I got out of the porn business years ago.”
Silence settled over the staff room as he slammed the door behind him, his last comment making Robin firmly push her lunch away. You blinked and stared at her, both of you thinking too much.
“Is he… was that a joke?” She asked, hesitant to know the answer.
“I have no idea.”
—————
Steve arrived as the last of the staff left, coming from his day off to spend the next six hours with you in the dark arcade, waiting for a team of greasy haired men to push some buttons on each machine, wiggle a joystick or two and then demand a couple of hundred dollars for their effort.
It was unnerving to see the boy in normal clothes, no real need for his staff shirt or name badge. His white t-shirt made him look even more tanned, sunkissed from the afternoons spent by his pool, the cotton lit up ultraviolet under the arcade lights.
“What time are they comin’?” He asked in lieu of greeting, heaving himself up to sit on the desk, narrowly avoiding the bag of chips you’d been snacking on.
You huffed, an annoyed sound that the boy was so used to, snatching your chips away before he could crush them further. You shrugged, moving away from Steve, eager to put some distance between you and him, ‘cause he smelled too damn nice.
Like sunscreen and summer, leftover chlorine and a cologne that was probably more than his last paycheck. It was annoyingly distracting.
“Don’t know, Murray said anytime between seven and ten.” You were already tired, draping yourself over the counter, used ticket stubs sticking to your arms. “This fucking sucks.”
“Didn’t you miss me?” Steve grinned, spinning on the desk to face you, his legs crossed in front of him as he leaned forward, taunting. He was good at giving you the eye, that gaze he gave all the girls, thick lashes fluttering, honey brown stare all soft and warm.
Too bad it didn’t work on you.
“No. But I’m glad to see you managed to pick up a sense of humour as well as an STD by the pool today.”
Steve laughed, unperturbed by your vicious comment. It hurt less when you smiled at him like that, all pretty and pleased with yourself, smug about it. “You’re particularly catty today, princess. Still not managed to reclaim a Dig Dug victory?”
“Fuck off.”
Steve grinned. Riling you up was his favourite thing to do. But all too soon, you were pushing yourself away from the desk, chips forgotten about, and rounding the counter. You sighed, looking around the empty arcade as if doing anything was better than talking to him.
“I’m gonna refill the ticket machines,” you declared, not looking at him when you spoke. “Murray said you need to clean the popcorn machine, so, Godspeed.”
Steve blanked, staring at you as you walked away, bare legs lit up in pinks and blues under the lights, your shorts a constant distraction for him. He hated them. “Wait, what? The popcorn machine hasn’t worked in fucking years.”
“Not my problem!” You waved him off before turning the corner, disappearing behind the chunky machines that had stood since the beginning of the seventies. “Have fun, Harrington.”
Steve let the service men in an hour later, the silence that had fallen over the arcade interrupted by mechanical beeping and the switching on and off of each machine. He hadn’t seen you since he’d first arrived and the fact that he’d only managed to get one rise out of you was severely disappointing. So he searched through the large room, navigating the rows of games in a way he knew all too well, each screen flashing invitingly, the promise of a new adventure stuck behind each one.
He knew where to find you, it wasn’t all that hard. But he still stopped to watch from afar as you bashed the buttons on the Dig Dug machine, swearing softly to yourself when the game didn’t do what you wanted. It beeped angrily, the screen flashed and a patronising ‘game over’ sign flooded the black background.
“You’re doing it wrong,” he called out, too happily.
You spun, scowling at the sound of his voice, his cheery negativity, his wide smirk. A sound of dismissal left your throat, annoyance clear on your face, but you couldn’t resist the bait. “There’s like, three buttons and I only need to use one of them,” you snapped, “how can I be doing it wrong?”
Steve joined you at the machine, leaning on the side of the bulky game, lit up by the flashing neon lights that hung above it. He was six different shades of yellow and orange, all golds and ambers and peaches across tanned skin and brown eyes. He was smug looking, eyes flickering from yours down to your fingers that were prodding at the button, bashing it furiously as you tried to blow up the Fygar’s that were in your way. The game beeped again, angry, and you were back to the main menu.
Steve’s name flashed obnoxiously from the top of the leaderboard, the number one beside it, setting your teeth on edge. You pushed another coin into the slot, took a deep breath and tried to ignore the boy beside you.
Steve only managed another minute or two of polite silence before he was sighing. “Jesus, look, like this, yeah?” His hand covered your own, the one hovering over the button and you froze, staring at him from the side of your eyes. “It’s about timing, not how hard you can mash the button into the board.”
You knew how to play. You were number one last week, you weren’t a novice, Dig Dug was your favourite game. You should’ve shaken him off, snarled something mean about men thinking they always knew best but you were frozen, still staring, looking at the boy like a deer trapped in headlights.
Steve pressed his fingers over yours as the game restarted, the tinny, electronic music beginning all over again. He was methodical about it, pressing the shooter only when the enemies got close enough, a vast difference to the way you manically shot on sight. But he frowned when he realised you weren’t moving at all, the joystick frozen in your other hand.
“C’mon, you’re not exactly helping,” he complained moodily. “S’wrong? Scared I’m trying to seduce you or somethin’?”
You scowled at that, shifting under Steve’s touch, glaring at him from where he still stood beside the machine; one, warm, wide hand still covering yours. His fingers were so much bigger than your own, swallowing your own against the buttons.
“As if you could,” you were quick to shoot back, but you ducked your chin, glaring at the screen through your lashes. “More concerned about where your hands have been.”
You heard him huff out a laugh, a breath through the smirk that seemed to always be on his lips when he was around you. He pressed your fingers down again when you tilted the joystick, successfully blowing up three of the little pixelated enemies on screen.
“Now, now, princess,” Steve’s voice was low, smooth. You hated it. “Don’t act like you weren’t letting Carver drape himself over you last Wednesday.”
You wrinkled your nose at the memory, not liking Jason Carver any more than you did Steve, but at least the latter didn’t invade your personal space like Jason did. The blonde boy seemed to think his old letterman jacket was a one way pass into a girl's pants, no matter how long it had been since high school had ended.
You had absolutely no interest in Jason, you never had and you told him as such on the daily. But it was still fun to say, “you sound jealous, Steven.” You smirked the same as him, letting your gaze slide to him from the side of your eye, watching as he frowned, cheeks rosier than normal in the arcade lights.
“Don’t flatter yourself, sweetheart,” he bit back, eyes focused on the screen, his fingers jabbing over yours a little harder than before. “You’re not my type.”
It shouldn’t have cut you as much as it did, a cheap jab, wrapped in barbed wire but it stung all the same. You sneered, a nasty thing, shrugging Steve off, his hand moving from yours and leaving it cold. You pressed the button alone, blowing up the pixels until there were none left and the level cleared. The screen flashed with a new high score and you tilted the joystick with more force than necessary as you typed out your initials.
Your name took first place on the leader board, knocking STEVE H. to the number two spot. The boy didn’t say anything as you walked away, his eyes on your bare legs, as usual, the taste of regret sitting heavy on his tongue.

Mafia au - You're protective of his child - Maknae line
Second part with the rest of the members
Violence, guns and such may be mentioned as it is a mafia au
Y/N → Your Name
Jimin (14 year old)
Sitting at your desk in your workplace you were tapping away on the keyboard before an incoming call disturbed you. Unable to check the caller on the old wired phone you simply picked it up, introducing yourself.
“Hello this is Y/N speaking, how may I help?” “Hi Mrs. Park, we’re calling from Seojoons school to let you know there has been an incident where your son was involved”
You stiffened up listening to the seemingly young woman talking to you, already seeing all kinds of horrifying scenarios of Seojoon in pain.
“-ick him up at the dean's office as soon as possible okay Mrs. Park?”
Shaking yourself from your thoughts, you shakily replied with a small “yes” before hanging up and shutting your computer off.
Knocking on your boss's office, you peeked your head in to inform her of the situation, quickly receiving her confirmation to leave early.
The whole drive to the school, your hands kept clenching and unclenching the steering wheel, thoughts running wild in your head.
Pulling into the parking lot you noted Jimin's car parked near the entrance as well, before swiftly getting inside the building.
A lady at the entrance stopped you, asking for ID, before showing you the route to the dean’s office. Feeling a tad annoyed at the tight security because you just wanted to hurry to where your son was you gnawed your lip.
“- already said I’m sorry, what more do you want from me dad? Do you want me to bow down on my knees like some dog too?”
Before rounding the corner you heard Seojoons irritated voice sneering at Jimin, while they were stood in the hallway. Jimin wore a deep scowl, which only deepened at the words his son let out, his eyes turning icy.
Quick to interfere you ran over, grabbing Seojoon’s face, searching him for any injuries.
“What happened sweetie, are you okay?”
He sighed a bit annoyed at you and twisted his face from your grip as you turned to Jimin instead.
“What happened? Is everything solved already?”
Raking a hand through his hair, Jimin released a puff of breath before motioning to Seojoon.
“He thought it would be a brilliant idea to sneak a gun into the school and threaten the bully of one of his friends”
Gasping loudly you turned to Seojoon for confirmation, instantly getting it when he avoided eye contact with you.
“Seojoon you know you’re not allowed to handle guns outside the shooting range, what were you thinking?”
The boy shrugged his shoulders at you, still avoiding eye contact.
“He wasn’t. Which is why i was in the middle of suggesting he and I go for a little drive to talk about this”
Jimin answered for him, leveling his son with a harsh glare, not willing to let it go until it had been punished.
Biting your lip you glanced at Seojoon, who was now looking not only guilty, but also slightly nervous. You knew Jimin would never raise his hands against you or his son, but his anger was not to be trifled with…Ever.
“No, he’s driving home with me, and I’ll be the one talking with him, while you go and calm down”
Jimin turned his frightening glare on you, but you simply turned away and led your son outside.
Later that night, after Jimin had calmed down, and you’d made Seojoon promise you to never bring a gun outside the house ever again, you were in bed.
Jimin changed into his PJ and entered the bed with you, slowly dragging you into his arms.
“Thanks…For being such a good role model for him, I doubt the talk i was planning for him would’ve helped the situation”
“It’s okay, someone has to be the voice of reason between you 2 hot heads”
You smirked a bit at him, in playful banter. Shaking his head however he remained stoic.
“I mean it Y/N, thanks for protecting him, both of us, and being there for us”
Taehyung (8 year old)
You had been home with Taehyung's son the whole week, Taehyung only coming home late at night, barely having the energy to do anything other than crash into the bed.
The week had started greatly, although Haneul had been opposed to his dad working so much, but you had found ways to distract him.
However as the week passed along, Haneul seemed to get more and more bored of whatever games and antics you made up. As much as he loved you, it was clear how much he missed the interactions between him and his father.
It all came crashing down the last day alone, before Taehyung's work would be over.
Haneul had been cross since the morning when you woke him up to eat breakfast, refusing to sit at the table with you, and screaming when you tried brushing his teeth.
He was throwing a proper tantrum that lasted almost until afternoon, where he seemed to quiet down.
You were in the kitchen cleaning up from lunch, removing pieces of bread from the floor, which Haneul had thrown in frustration. Sighing you glanced at him, laying on the couch, completely calm, probably worn out from using all his energy.
As you finished wiping everything off with a clean rag, you heard soft snoring from the couch, making your heart clench.
Quietly you turned off the tv, and eased him into your arms, before carrying him to his bedroom. Making sure his small lamp with stars was on you left him to sleep, and went off to enjoy the quiet peace.
You managed to enjoy almost an hours quiet, before loud coughing reached your ears along with broken sobs.
Scrambling to get up you ran to Haneuls room, throwing the door open, nearly tripping over your own legs before reaching his bed. He was sat up slightly, coughing violently, snot and tears dripping down his face as he desperately tried to drag air into his lungs.
Your hand stroked up and down his back, trying to somehow help ease his coughing. Shakily you tried to guide him with your voice.
“Shh, Haneul, try taking some deep breaths okay baby, deep breaths for me”
After a while the coughing slowly let up, but his breathing was still painfully ragged. Wiping a wet cloth over his eyes and nose you removed the tears and snot, leaving Haneul blinking red eyed and nosed up at you.
“Let’s call dad, yeah? I think we may need to take a trip to the hospital with you”
You smiled soothingly at him, while you tried to gauge his temperature with your hand. The boy sniffled quietly, shaking his head vehemently.
“Noo i hate the hospital mommy, can’t daddy just come home?”
Shaking your head at him you tried to explain, and calm him down while carrying him to the front door.
“Baby, I’d feel much better if we got you checked out at the hospital, just so I know nothing’s wrong with you”
As you felt the boy sag into your arms you smiled softly to yourself, jumping into some shoes and grabbing your car keys.
A few hours later you were back home from the hospital, as it turned out Haneul just had a very bad case of the flu.
“He’s sleeping soundly now, I think the tea helped a bit”
You mumbled as you descended the stairs, Taehyung turned to face you from the couch. He watched your face for a few seconds, before beckoning you towards him.
“He really scared you huh?”
He asked, tugging you into his arms in a tight hug. Humming you leaned back a bit, tears in your eyes.
“I was so worried, I’ve never seen him that sick”
Taehyung sighed, rubbing your back soothingly.
“You did everything right baby, you took care of him and protected him”
Jungkook (10 year old)
“Mom? Mommy wake up”
You felt someone shake your arm, rousing you from the deep sleep. You squinted your eyes at the lights in the room, feeling slightly disoriented.
“What is it?”
You mumbled out, turning slowly to watch Binna.
“I think i heard the door opening downstairs mom”
At first your sleep muddled brain didn’t quite catch what she was saying, thinking she merely said she had a nightmare. It wasn’t unusual for her to have nightmares, something that often left her in tears.
“What?” “The door mom, I heard it open, I don’t think it’s daddy”
Sitting up you groaned slightly as your muscles ached.
“Are you sure? Did you see them?”
Binna shook her head, staring worriedly at you, clearly waiting on you to decide what to do. Getting out of the bed you threw on a robe, glancing back at her as you approached the door of the room.
“Stay here, I’ll go check, if I’m not back in 5 minutes you call your dad okay? And lock the door”
Stepping out into the cold hallway, you slowly made your way to Jungkook's office. Pushing the door open you went to his desk and opened the top drawer, pulling out a sleek gun. Being the daughter of one of the heads of a big mafia group gave you a small advantage, you had known guns and violence your whole life.
Stepping onto the landing at the top of the stairs you strained your ears trying to listen to any noises. It was silent, almost, except for muffled talking from one of the rooms downstairs. Biting your lip you sneaked down the stairs as quietly as possible, sticking close to the walls. As you reached the door you paused again, trying to make out what was being said.
“-at’s the deal? We finished on time and Yoongi made sure to wipe everything right?”
Frowning in confusion at the familiar voice, you got off the wall, about to open the door when a phone ringing stopped you.
“Hold one Tae, Binnas calling me?” “Why’s she calling you? Isn’t she asleep upstairs?”
Jungkook didn’t get to answer that, at least not with words.
“What, baby speak clearly…Mom? Isn’t she just in the bedroom? What do you mean someone’s in the house?”
From upstairs you could hear muffled crying, cursing softly you were just about to turn and run back upstairs when the door was yanked open.
Jungkook paused in the opening, staring at you with cold calculating eyes, a large gun in his hand, ready to shoot at whatever was frightening his daughter. He glanced at the gun in your hand, instantly putting 2 and 2 together.
“Baby, it’s just dad and uncle Tae, come downstairs okay, mom’s okay too, nothing will happen to any of you”
Quickly putting his gun away Jungkook allowed you to enter the room, leaving the door open for Binna. You put your gun away too, smiling quietly at Tae when he waved a hand at you from the couch.
“I didn’t think you’d be such a badass, charging through the house with a gun at night Y/N”
Jungkook smirked at you.
“I only did it for my daughters safety Kook, if you had bothered to call out when you opened the door this wouldn’t have happened”
You pushed his shoulder lightly, as he chuckled while shaking his head.
“She shouldn’t even be awake at this hour”
He shrugged at you, trying to defend himself, before a small blur ran into his arms.
“Daddy!”
Binna laughed happily, hugging him tightly, almost having forgotten about what had happened only moments earlier.
“Dad, mom was going to shoot you earlier you know, it was so scary”
You raised an eyebrow at Jungkook, waiting for him to answer his daughter, but all he released was a loud laugh. He still almost couldn’t believe you’d taken a gun and was that willing to protect his daughter.

⋆。゚☁︎。⋆。 ゚☾ ゚。⋆
at the start of it all, you thought it was just a silly news report about another person who had overdosed in your city. it was a well known fact, and often brought up on television to inform people how bad drugs can be for you.
you would scoff as you turned off the tv in a fit of annoyance and go back to making your dinner. it was just like every other day. you went to bed that night, warm under the sheets as you sipped on your glass of water just before you turned off the bedside light and shut your eyes.
what you didn’t expect was to be woken up by your phone going hay wire beside you. the sound of alarms blaring into your ear jolted you awake. the sound of gunfire had you on your toes in seconds.
with a quick peak out the window, the red and grey look covered your vision and clouded your mind. you didn’t understand, who would? a knock on your door had you tearing your eyes from the scene, and slowly backing up. you reached the door, opening it cautiously only for it be be pushed open forcefully.
“what the hell?” you yelled, stumbling back from impact. “tommy?”
there stood none other then your neighbour tommy, who looked out of breath and terrified. he swiftly shut your door, and made sure both locks were secure. he then moved to the windows, shutting the blinds and curtains.
“tommy, what the hell is going on?” he wiped the back of his hand on his forehead, then wiped it on his infamous red and white shirt.
“go pack a bag, and pack some food. we gotta move!” he spurred out. it was a scene to see tommy so scared and so serious. it took a lot for him to be that way, ever since you babysat him as a kid he was always so happy and carefree.
“w-what? why?” you could wrap your head around what he was trying to tell you. instead of answering, he pushed your shoulders and turned you around into your room. he grabbed a backpack hung up on the back of your door and shoved it in your hands.
you didn’t bother asking anymore questions, instead, doing as he told and packing anything you thought you’d need. you made your way to the kitchen and packed food, knifes, anything you could get your hands on.
you also took into liberty to change out of your pj’s and into some more comfortable, suitable clothes. you grabbed your sneakers and pushed them on your heels. you sighed and moved your hair out of your face, turning to tommy.
“now, can you please tell me what is going on?” he looked at you, then at his feet, then back to you. you could tell he didn’t want to worry you too much.
“well.. the science people said there’s a new virus going around. a deadly one. it’s wild.”
“science people?” you raised an eyebrow at him, you felt like you were talking to a wall. tommy shook his head.
“i have a friend, not far from here who can help us.” he stuck out his hand, waiting for you to take it. you hesitated for a moment. a deadly virus?
reluctantly, you took his hand. adjusting the bag on your shoulders you let tommy lead you out the door and to your car. he immediately gets in the passenger seat and throws his bag in the back, along with a blanket you didn’t even see him pick up.
you, more casually, do the same. putting the vehicle in reverse and pulling out of the driveway. tommy points to the left, to which you turn the wheel too.
“so, where are we going exactly?” you asked. the car was silent other than for both the heavy breaths from the two. tommy was fiddling with a walkie talkie that you had gotten him and tubbo for christmas.
he didn’t answer for a moment and instead, static came from the walkie. you peered over at tommy, he look so out of place, so confused. he was a teenager after all. a teenager who shouldn’t be so scared about the world ending.
when the quietness almost seem to be to much, a voice came from the walkie. “hello? tommy? tommy, are you there?” it was a males voice, he sounded older than tommy. was this the guy he was talking about?
“charlie! it’s so good to hear your voice, man!” tommy laughed to himself. you couldn’t help but smile. “we’re on our way. tell alex we’ll be arriving shortly.” they talked for mere more seconds before ending the chat.
“charlie? alex?” you asked, dumbfounded. tommy chuckled, giving you more directions.
“charlie is an old friend of mine. we use to play video games together a lot.” he paused. “he’s with alex who is the friend we’re going too. he knows how to keep a group safe, we’ll be safe there.” he nods at his own words.
you believe him. you have trust in tommy’s friends and you have trust in tommy. if he thinks it’s safe so do you.
“okay.” you take a breath. “are they teenagers?” you had to ask. although you agreed, you weren’t being ran by a teenager. tommy let out even more of a chuckle, slamming his hand against his knee like it was the funniest joke you ever told. “what?” you asked, confused why he was choking on his cough.
“sorry! s-sorry!” he laughs again, sipping his eyes. “how do you not know who they are?” you raised your shoulders, shrugging. “oh you’re serious.”
“tommy, just tell me. please!” you urge, still confused and lost. tommy shrugged.
“i use to do minecraft videos with them.. remember? you played with us? you and alex hit it off well.”
you thought back for a moment, and then it came to you. you had joined tommy in a modded mc world with his two friends, slime and quackity. quackity and you had flirted to entire recording but never exchange numbers or socials.
you widened your eyes. “i’m going to stay with a bunch of minecraft streamers? and they’re going to keep me safe?”
keeping a grip on the stirring wheel, you could tell you were in for a lot when you arrived. having to worry about boys who play minecraft for a living, while the world is ending.

WIP Wednesday!
@gordopickett tagged me earlier this week—thank you <3—and I planned to do it today and then of course forgot until the evening. I should have just done it and scheduled it to post today, but I had hoped to work more on Love at the Drafting Table and post that. Alas—I talk about a project and then life conspires to keep me from working on it!
Instead, below is an older, very rough snippet from another languishing, unfinished WIP, The Calculus of Grief, written at the end of April.
Tagging: @madamairlock, @littlelindentree, @caitylove, @shu-of-the-wind, @fireandsoup
More tags (split to work around broken tumblr tagging): @imsfire2, @cryscal, @air-mechanical, @youreorangeyoumoron, @wanderleave
And anyone else who might want to <3
Though the school year had barely just begun, it was actually still a month out from the second anniversary of Sergei’s first day teaching at Spiro T. Agnew High School. October 1, 1995 felt like a lifetime ago. To be honest, he tried to think about the time before as little as possible. But today was a different anniversary: September 4. Today it was harder than most days to ignore the gaping hole in the center of his life. Two years ago today he and his family had landed in Germany. After an hour of debriefing and setting the wheels in motion, of letting hope run wild and selecting a name to bear during their transition, he had called Margo from his hotel room. He had been overjoyed to see her, and when he hung up, his mother had joined him from the adjoining room where his father slept, with his sisters and their families resting safely down the hall. She had asked him about this woman who had saved him, who so clearly held the heart of her firstborn, her only son. So, Sergei had told her their story. For the first time in his life, he was free to tell his mother about the woman he had been in love with for well over ten years. Hours later, when the news reached them, she had pulled him sobbing into her arms as she had when he was small, before the births of his sisters. That was the only time he had given into the despair of losing her. He was trying to live, to stay safe as she had told him. To keep his family safe. And the only way he could manage to do that, to go on, was to leave it all behind. But then just last night he had seen on the news that the Sojourner 1 astronauts and Mars-94 cosmonauts had finally returned to Earth. After their nearly two year ordeal, the world joined in their joy and relief as the survivors were reunited with their loved ones. Sergei had watched Rolan Baranov, the cosmonaut turned astronaut—a defector like himself—be reunited with his American wife and son. His wife who had survived the bombing of JSC. Unlike Margo. Sergei honestly wasn’t sure how he’d made it into work at all. “Mr. Bezukhov?” Principal Alice Nikolsky—not Nikolskaya—called as she knocked on the door of the classroom. “We have a new student for your homeroom. She’s just transferred up from Huntsville, Alabama.” A young girl stepped into the doorway, her pale orange hair falling around wire rim glasses and shadowing her pale freckled face. She looked up, her blue eyes so like his mother’s, his own catching him already off guard as Alice introduced her, “Madison Morgan.”  Seryozha, if you do not let yourself mourn her, she will haunt you forever. His mother’s plea rose in his mind as he took in this child, bouncing nervously on balls of her feet. In another life they could have had a daughter who looked like this girl.

Behind The Music
Tumblr media
A/ N: once again I don’t know what the fuck this is. Does it even count? Is matty even in here? Idk just something I feel like I would do if I were to date him.
———
She stepped out of the car and onto the sidewalk. Walking a few steps to the front of the studio, watching her own reflection in the glass door for a moment before she’d pulled it open and let herself in. She’d been to the studio a few times before— either to meet up with Matty, or to pick him up before heading out somewhere— so she was no stranger to the building. Still, she liked taking her time on the way to the recording rooms every time that she was here; browsing the photos on the walls, of musical legends, both dead and alive, who have made music history in this space; or looking through the “current projects,” display to see who, besides the 1975, was recording here at the moment and what kinds of records she should be anticipating soon. No matter how many times she’d been here, the space never failed to amaze her. The fact that this was a regular day at the office for her boyfriend filled her with pride.
She smiled at the “recording in progress” sign at the door then pulled the it open, cautiously taking a peek inside. Instantly, she felt the sound waves blaring against her cheeks. Matty and George were at the mixing board, listening to a track on full volume, unaware of her presence.
George’s eagle eyes watching the computer screen with precision and care, his hand hovering over the keyboard, ready to interfere at the first glance of imperfection. Next to him, Matty sat in an ergonomic office chair, his eyes closed, hugging his knees up to his chest and using his body weight to wheel the chair around to the beat of the music. she watched the curls of his hair move as he bobbed his head up and down and played air guitar with his fingers. A slight smile on his lips indicating that he liked what they’ve created.
They looked so in the zone, she almost felt guilty about having to interrupt. “Excuse me guys?” The music, seemingly radiating from the whole room, drowned out her voice as soon as it had left her mouth. There was no way they were going to hear her.
She took a few steps closer feeling the vibrations of the sound under her feet. She knocked on the wall behind them, “guys! Hellooo??!!!”
George’s head turned around, quickly, feeling her presence over his shoulder. He smiled in recognition and relief as soon as he saw her, promptly killing the music with the click of a button. Silence, and the sound of her ears ringing, filled her head for a few moments.
“Hey!” George wheeled his chair closer to her, causing Matty to turn around and spring to his feet instantly.
“Baby!” He beamed at her, his hands instantly finding her hips and pulling her in for a kiss.
Silently, she dug around her bag for a moment, pulling out his old phone, which he’d asked her to drop off. Something about it containing an old voice memo with an idea for a song. “Here it is.” She placed the smooth, black device into the palm of his hand.
“You’re a hero, thank you.” He gave her another quick kiss before rushing over to the computer and plugging the device in.
George said something about the old phone needing to charge first, and Matty suggested they keep working on the track that they’d started in the meantime.
“You havin’ a good day so far? Hope I didn’t steal you away from work…” Matty asked, with his back still towards her as he fiddled with the wires in front of him.
“Yeah, was just on my way out of a meeting not too far from here anyway, so wasn’t out of my usual route. Plus, I’m done with the important stuff now. So, no worries.”
“Perfect.”
George mouthed a second ‘thank you’ at her, before returning to his screen.
She turned towards the door, before she felt Matty’s arm reach for her. “Kiss before you go?” He pushed his back against the chair to lift his hips up, his head hanging off the edge of the head rest, his lips puckered and ready. “Please?”
He closed his eyes in anticipation of her reciprocation and it made her smile. If he could demand a kiss from her every five minutes for the rest of his life, it still wouldn’t be enough for him. She bent down, pushing his hair out of the way and kissed his lips.
Matty’s chair squeaked when he pulled away, grabbing onto the edge of the desk in front of him and wheeling himself towards it. “Where were we?” He turned to George. “Right, okay. Before we play it a second time. I was thinkin’…. Emmm…”
She watched as Matty looked up at the ceiling, as if trying to remember something. She loved how his whole demeanor could shift almost instantly. It was like he’d changed into a different person than the guy who’d just kissed her. When he was in “work mode,” his voice dropped, his expression got serious. Even his naturally light voice got heavier.
“Main thing I noticed is the feedback from the distortion is-“ he rested his elbows on the table, scooting closer to George.
“Yeah, yeah.” George had somehow immediately understood and interrupted Matty’s thought. “But we can go back and change that. Did you want to add a second verse though?” His hand reaching for the controls and pulling up a new window on his screen, “Cuz I think we could just loop it back to-“
“No, no looping.” Matty was decisive. “I’ve got something, let me try. Just gotta look at the lyric again…” he pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket, standing up as he unfolded it to spread out on the table.
She smiled, recognizing the creased piece of paper that Matty was scanning over. She knew what he was about to sing into the microphone on the other end of the room. She’d watched him write it last night. He tended to do that a lot. Whenever he couldn’t sleep, she’d find him, jet lagged, on the floor of the living room, strumming away or humming a tune and scribbling lyrics on random scraps of paper that he’d found around the house.
As soon as Matty was out of the chair, she took his place, moving the chair impossibly closer to George. “Hey, George?”
“Hmm?” He clicked a series of buttons on screen then adjusted a dial on the mixing board.
“what’re you doing?” She asked, her smile evident in her voice.
George looked up at her from his beloved board, astounded. “Wh-what do you mean?” He thought his actions were self-explanatory. “I’m working.”
She rolled her eyes, “No, I know THAT….I just mean, like, what’re you doing exactly? Like…like what’re you clicking on? what did Matty say about the- umm…whatever he just said. something about feedback or whatever?”
“From the distortion, yeah.” George’s expression seemed to soften as he came out of his work bubble, gradually coming out of the labyrinth of his mind and back to the present moment. He glanced quickly away from her, his eyes watching the screen as it translated Matty’s singing into sound waves.
“Yeah! He says that word a lot. What’s it mean?”
“What, ‘distortion’?” George smiled, leaning back into his chair and stretching his long legs out. “It’s kind of a sound effect. Like…you know how, when you were at school, and you had to do a powerpoint presentation or whatever- all the kids would wanna do is apply these animation effects? like making slides grainy, or making a specific title, or sentence, ‘fly in’ or bounce around the screen or whatever? it’s kinda like that, but for sound.”
“what’s it do? Like what kinda effect is it?”
“it’s ummm…” George sighed and looked off into the distance, racking his brain for an analogy. “its like- well, you tell me!” She watched as he leaned forward, going back to the computer. He recalled an audio file on his screen. “I’m gonna play you a guitar track. Normal first. Then I’m gonna play you the distorted version. See if you hear any difference.”
She nodded, George hid his smile at how serious she looked. “Let me just make sure I’m not accidentally playing it into Matty’s ear…alright, ready?”
“Lay it on me.” She straightened her posture, pulling her shoulders back.
George handed her the spare headset that had belonged to Matty not too long ago, and hit the ‘play’ button. A minute and a half later, he hit ’stop.’ “Okay, now you’ll hear the exact same thing, but with the distortion.”
“Oh! Oh, I see!” She yelled out, unaware of how loud she was being with the headset on. She’d noticed the difference right away.
“What’d you think? Different?” George had asked when the audio file had come to an end.
“Yeah, like- umm- fuzzy, almost. compared to the regular.”
“Exactly. Gritty, or dirty. Happens when you oversaturate stuff. Like when you zoom in too much on a high definition photo, and it becomes blurry. The ‘regular’ is what we’d call ‘clean.’ You know, cuz it’s sharp. You can hear all of it with clarity. Nothing’s ‘in the way’ so to speak.”
Her head nodded along slowly as she pondered George’s words.
“Matty uses the word ‘distortion’ a lot cuz…well, it’s pretty much what we always use.” George giggled. “Pretty much a staple sound for us.”
“I think I get that? Like, it does sound 1975-ish.”
George’s smile brightened at her remark. “Okay, name an example. Let’s see if you’re applying it correctly.”
“What, of distortion in your music? Well, I was kinda thinking of ‘Sex.’”
George nodded enthusiastically. “Good one! Yeah. Pretty early for us, too. We kinda did it a few times, liked it, and just never stopped I guess.”
Both of their gazes shifted towards Matty as he mumbled something under his breath walking back behind the desk. He was slightly taken aback when he found his girlfriend in his chair. “Thought you’d left already.” he smiled, instantly reaching for her hand.
“I was going to…but, thought I’d watch you guys work. Is that okay?”
“Of course, babe.” He kissed her cheek before turning around to find an extra chair. “George, I think we just start from scratch. Let’s just….add the instruments back in, one by one. Hear them solo first. Even the rapid arpeggios. Then we’ll see where exactly things went wrong.”
Her eyes moved back and forth between George and Matty. “What’s an arpeggio?” she asked, as though Matty’s instructions were to her then felt ever so slightly self-conscious. Without skipping a beat, Matty reached for the open bag of skittles that he’d been sharing with George earlier and poured a handful of candy into his hand. “So, you know what a chord is, right?”
“mhm.”
“Okay, so, imagine that these skittles in my hand are a chord, yes? Like….The red one is a note, the green one is a different note, the yellow one’s yet another different note, and so on. To play the chord, I’d play all the notes that make up that chord, all together at the same time, yes? Like this” He threw the handful of skittles into his mouth all together, chewing them up, then
poured some more into his hand. “Now, an arpeggio chord is like breaking it down into its individual notes. So you play them, not all at once, but in order. Either top to bottom, or bottom to top. Like…this.” He demonstrated by popping the candy pieces into his mouth one artificially colored ball at a time. “make sense?”
“yeah, that’s kinda cool actually.”
“It is cool.” He smiled, a sparkle in his eyes.
***
“Do we have everything we need?” Matty looked at her as he put on his leather jacket.
“yup. I’m all set. You taking any of these home?” she gestured towards the guitars lined up against the wall.
Matty considered it for a moment. “No, I’d just be carrying them back in here tomorrow, if I did. they can stay for now.” With one last glance at them, he’d decided that was the right choice. “right then. I’ve actually parked the car quite a long ways away from here. let me go and get it so you’re not walking all that distance.”
“Wait- aren’t we gonna help George clean up?”
George smiled, looking away from the screen to face her. “That’s okay, love. I’m gonna be here a while longer. You guys go, I’m all good.”
Matty nodded, “text you when I’m outside so you can come down, okay?”
“Matty, your cigarettes.” She knew he was going to take that walk to the car as an opportunity to smoke. Matty giggled and said something about her knowing him better than he knows himself. “Thanks babe.” He left the room.
“you’re really staying all by yourself, Georgie?” She asked to fill the silence in the room.
He chuckled. “Yeah, it’s no big deal. Do it all the time.”
“Oh?” A hint of intrigue in her voice.
“I kind of have to. Matty and I work best if we each have something to show the other when we sit down to work.”
“So- what about Adam and Ross? When do they get in on this?”
“Oh, they were here earlier.“ he leaned back into his chair, realizing that it’s probably polite to look her in the eyes when speaking. “they’ll be here again tomorrow….Matty and I just got to talking after we’d wrapped up for the day, and, well…here we are I suppose.”
“All of this was unplanned?”
George nodded.
Her phone vibrated in her hand, the screen lighting up.
Matty: Ready for you, my love.
“Well, Matty’s here, so…”
“Off you go.”
“Night, Georgie.” She patted his head on her way out of the room, looking back at him as he clicked away and fiddled with the volume on the screen.
“Umm…George?” She called out to him from the doorway.
“Yeah?” He turned around in his chair.
“Do you think- are you gonna be here tomorrow? Like, before or after Matty? Like just you?”
“Yeah, probably. Why?”
“Could- umm, would it be okay if I came by?”
“What, just you? When I’m alone?”
“Yeah? I’d like to talk about something.”
“S-sure. I don’t see why not….”
“Thanks! Text me when?”
“Right. Yeah will do.”
****
“Brought coffee.” She handed one of the two cups that she’d come in with to George and he took a sip immediately, rubbing the sleep his eye.
“You’re amazing. Thank you.”
George cleared the amorphous mess off the couch in the corner of the studio, making room for them to sit down. “So, what’s this about?” He asked setting his coffee cup between his knees and squeezing them together to hold it in place. “Is it Matty? Do I need to knock him down for something?”
She chuckled, amused. “What? Matty? Please. It’s all good. I- ummm, just had some questions, and….hold on a second.” She reached into her bag, pulling out her phone and scrolling through the notes app. “Ah, here it is…” she handed George her phone. “If you could, umm, explain what these words mean, please….I tried looking them up on my own, but- I just” she blushed, picking up her coffee cup and fiddling with the sleeve. “Well, it all got so confusing after a while. So…thought I’d come to you!”
George frowned, making his way through the list of musical jargon. It was all pretty basic. Nothing he’d have a hard time explaining, but he wasn’t sure what the context for all this was. Or where it was all coming from. From the way that her cheeks were growing more red by the second, though, he sensed it was a sensitive issue, and he didn’t want to pry.
***
“I’ve lost you again, haven’t I?” George looked into her glazed eyes, trying to find her, somewhere in her head, far, far away from him.
He’d tried explaining things in the abstract, offering definitions, and when that didn’t work, he’d moved them over to the computer, so he could show her some real examples. He figured if she could see and hear what he was talking about, then it would be easier for her to follow along. But the blank look on her face said otherwise.
“No, no. I’m- im listening.”
“Yeah, but I might as well be speaking a foreign language right now.”
She looked away, embarrassed, shrugging her shoulders.
“May I ask….what this is all about? Why the sudden interest in technicalities?”
She giggled nervously, waving him off. “It’s….nothing. It’s dumb. I think I’ve embarrassed myself enough this morning.”
“Tell me. Maybe I can help?”
She looked up at him apprehensively. His gentle smile and calming air easing her anxiety. “I…just wanted to know more about what Matty does for
Living. Okay? I know, it’s silly, but…I don’t know. I’ve watched him write songs, and I get that part. And I’ve watched him perform even, and I get that. This- this stuff” she waved her arms in the air, vaguely gesturing towards the equipment around her. “He talks to me about his work a lot. And he always seems so excited. It’s so sweet. It’s - I talk to him about my work too. And he gets it. Gives good advice. I guess I wanted to do the same for him.”
“That’s….sweet.” George finally said, cautiously.
“Not entirely.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean, I also feel like there’s a part of him that I don’t know. Don’t understand. When he comes in here. When he’s behind this desk….it’s like he’s a different person. And I don’t know that guy. I don’t know producer Matty. I can’t follow his thought process, I don’t know what he’s thinking. I just- I wanna know him more.”
George turned to look away from her, hiding his smile.
“You’re laughing!” She squealed.
“I- am not! Okay maybe I am a little bit. But, only because you’re being cute. Look, seriously, look at me! Look into my eyes when I’m talking to you. Listen, I think that’s a wonderful thing you’re trying to do here. But you’re going about it all wrong, my dear.”
Her brows furrowed, “I don’t understand.”
“That’s not how you get to know someone. It’d be like trying to know about his childhood, as his girlfriend, by reading the biography section of his life on Wikipedia. Like, instead of talking to him, his friends, his family. Learning what he was really like.”
George saw that the confusion was still on her face. “I’m trying to say if you want to know something about him, you talk to him! It’s not about collecting information. That’s not knowledge. It’s about how you got to the information. That’s what counts as knowledge.”
“What- I-“
“It’s a matty thing.” George shook his head. Slightly unsettled by how much his friend had rubbed off on him. Twenty years of friendship, he had been very careful to leave the lofty proclamations to Matty.
“Speak of the devil.” He nodded towards the door as Matty walked in.
“I’m so confused” were the first words out of Matty’s mouth as he walked into the studio. “N- not that I’m not happy to see you, after walking up this morning without you. Just- what’re you doing here?”
George laughed, patting his friend’s shoulder as he walked past Matty on his way out. “She has something to talk to you about.” He nodded at her encouragingly. “I’m gonna….umm, make myself scarce. Smoke a cig. See if Hann can get us some food on his way in.”

I Already Know
“What the hell were you thinking Hugo!!!”
He had royally fucked up. Earlier today he had suggested (read: forced) their group to take a different route than the one Nuru had mapped out the day before. It'll be faster, he said . You'll thank me later he said. Well it just so happened that when Hugo was charting out their new route he had been holding the map upside down.
Oops
The road had been rocky and rough and full of thieves and bandits. This resulted in the group having half their supplies stolen, a wheel of the caravan damaged and they would be three days late to the next trial.
Oh did he mention it was raining? Because it was raining
Now Nuru was yelling and cursing at him (and you know she was really pissed if she cursed in front of Yong) while Varian and Yong were giving him dirty glares as they set up camp.
¨I told you to just follow the plan oh but nooooooo you had to be the stubborn bitch you always are and insist we go your way!!!¨
He rolled his eyes and with a snarky tone said ¨Look, I said I was sorry, what more do ya want from me Sparkles?!¨
¨You still messed things up for everyone today Hugo!!! You're always just so arrogant and selfish”
He flinched back the words striking his heart like sharp arrows, Nuru teased him all the time and he teased her but, not like this…this time her words cut deep into older wounds.
“Nuru, I-i'm sorry…”
Sorry isn't good enough!!!¨
Sorry isn't good enough…
You're not good enough...
His face fell and his gaze darkened. A tear slipped down his cheek but he wiped it away as quickly as it came as he turned away and shaky walked back to his tent.
Sorry isn't good enough…
You're not good enough…
The words repeated nonstop in his mind, just as fresh as the day they first were placed there.
He’d been twelve years old and just recently started working for Donella. He was on a mission to steal some jewels and scrolls from the castle but had gotten caught… he’d abandoned the goods in favor of making it out alive. But looking back the wrath of the castles guards were nothing compared to Donella’s
“You failed”
“I-i know Don, i'm sorry I-”
A harsh slap across the face caught him off guard, making him fall to the ground clutching his cheek before Donella grabbed him by the collar forcing him to look at her again.
“SORRY ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH!!!”
Another harsh slap knocking his glasses off his face and him letting out a cry of pain.
“You aren't good enough”
She kicked his stomach (and ribs) sending him kneeling on the ground again before her coughing up a little blood.
“I went easy on you this time…fail me again an d you don't want to find out what happens then”
He nodded slightly before she dragged him to his room by the ear and threw him on the floor and locked the door, leaving him to crawl up into a ball and cry himself to sleep yet again.
This was the first time Donella spoke those words to him, but it definitely wasn't the last.
He sobbed as the memory played in his head along with the words for what seemed the billionth time. He pulled at his hair and dug his nails into his arms but it wasn't good enough.
You aren't good enough…
He tore into and dug through his bag looking for… There
A small carry-on lighter that he used for fixing his glasses or other thin wire and for…
He sighed, tears still streaming down his flushed cheeks and pulled up his sleeve.
Small burn and cut marks lined his pale skinny wrists from the years of life on the streets and all the other bullshit he’d been through.
He lit the old device and brought it down to his arm, wincing as the heat hit his cold skin.
“O-one…t-two…three…f-four…five”
He pulled the flame away from that spot and put it back, holding it for another five seconds again and again and again. His breath hitched with each mark and he sobbed silently throughout the whole process, just like he always did.
No matter how many times Hugo would burn or cut himself it never seemed to hurt any less. He felt a crawling sensation on his other arm and up to his shoulder and looked over to see his beloved robotic mouse, Olivia.
“H-hi Liv…”
She squeaked with concern and looked down to the lighter in Hugos hand, the burns were red and some of them were bleeding slightly (Hugo held the lighter there too long) and she quickly scurried down and snatched the lighter from his fingers.
“Hey!!! Give that back I'm not done with it!!!” He tried to grab the lighter from Oliva with his bad hand and cried out in pain doing so. He clutched his arm as the burns throbbed in pain bringing fresh tears to his eyes. Olivia saw her owner's distress and crawled up his (good) arm again nuzzling against his cheek trying to give him some comfort. He reluctantly leaned into her touch, softly hugging her with his hand.
“E-everything just hurts so much Liv…I-i don't know what to do anymore…”
He sobbed harder and hugged his knees up to his chest as Olivia did her best to try and comfort her hurting owner, she scurried over to his bag and grabbed some water which she poured over his burns making flinch in surprise and pain.
“O-oh, um thanks girl”
He grabbed some bandages and started wrapping his wrist, wincing slightly at the process, Oliva looked at him worry in her small, glowing eyes and Hugo gave her a weak, reassuring smile.
“I'm fine Liv, don't worry about ok”
She gave him a knowing look, pointing at his arms as if saying really dude. Hugo smiled and pulled his sleeves back down over the fresh marks.
“Just drop it ok, you know how it goes…I’ll be fine”
With that Hugo set his glasses down lying on his side with the good arm and softly cried to himself for the millionth time in his life.
Olivia looked at her creator's tear streaked cheeks, messed up hair and bandaged wrists. This had been going on for far too long and she had to do something about it.
Every time Hugo hurt himself he would go a little father, cut a little deeper and soon…he would go off the deep end.
She had to do something.
Hugo sighed and wiped his eyes, smiling slightly.
“Nurus right, I'm just a selfish, arrogant little brat. But she dosn’t have to tell me twice how fucking worthless I am…”
A pained sob cut his sentence in half and Oliva crawled up next to him trying to provide comfort.
“I already know..”

Not As Important
Summary:
Donnie could hear his brothers up and getting ready for the day. Mikey making breakfast on the stove, Raph laughing and talking with him, and Leo skateboarding. All having just risen from a full night's rest. But not him.
Words:2,497
The dark blue shades of night started to turn lighter as morning crept over New York. People walked along the sidewalks chatting, laughing, and going to work. Cars honk as angry drivers are stuck in traffic, late to their endeavors. The city that never sleeps, the saying didn’t just apply to the humans of New York, however. In the city's sewers, three turtles still slept peacefully. All but one. The purple teen sat in his lab, hunched over his invention, illuminated by the blues and purples of machinery. His latest work on the desk, pieces, and wires scattered across the table as he inspected them with his high-tech goggles. He’s frustrated and tired. This was supposed to be an easy fix. There were only a few bugs he needed to work out. But he can’t even do that right. Groaning in frustration he drops a microchip in favor of holding his head, elbows resting on his desk. Why couldn’t he just fix the dam thing?
It was working when he first tested it, he doesn’t know what went wrong. What he did wrong. The mutant could feel tears of frustration brimming in his eyes, threatening to fall. No, no he isn’t going to cry, he’s being ridiculous. Sitting up and rubbing his tired eyes Donnie almost knocks off one of the many empty cups of coffee on his desk. He can’t sleep. Not till he figures this out. Attempting and failing to take a deep breath to calm himself he is about to try again when he hears Mikey and Raph talking in the kitchen. “Wha- What are they doing up?” Donnie asks no one, his speech slurred and voice hoarse from exhaustion. Looking at his computer for answers his confusion only turns to even more frustration. Seven in the morning. This was supposed to be a simple fix, not an all-nighter. God, he had one job. He couldn’t even manage that. The turtle picks up the pieces of machinery again. like beating the piece of metal in a staring contest will give him the answers he’s looking for. He is supposed to be the smart one. That's who he is, That’s how he can help New York, help his family. It’s then Leo started skateboarding through the sewers. Cheering and yelling “Cowabunga!” Donnie’s agitation only grew with the extra noises and distractions of his siblings.
Every small noise the wheels made sounded like nails on a chalkboard, Making him cringe. Like they were mocking him, mocking him for spending so many hours on such a simple task. No, No he shouldn’t blame them for his shortcomings. They are doing their parts, it’s not their fault that he is lacking in his. Much to his relief the skateboarding stopped, but it was soon replaced by the aroma of breakfast in the air. God it smelled good, The purple ninja's stomach rumbled. When was the last time he ate? He pulls himself from the distraction returning to the device. He can eat when he’s done when he’s earned-
“Hey, Don! I would say good mornin' but what you're doin' seems borin’.” He is pulled from his spiraling thoughts by an obnoxious blue mutant at the entrance of his lab. Said mutant takes a few steps more into his space looking very proud of the “joke” he made. Donnie doesn’t look up from his work, he tries to respond nonchalantly, hoping his voice doesn’t betray him. “What is it, Leo?” Judging by the silence that followed, his voice betrayed him. Suddenly he can feel hands on his shoulders as his chair is spun around to face his skeptical-looking brother. His eyes stare into Donnie like he’s trying to solve a puzzle. He hates it, hates it when people try to solve him like he’s a problem. Like he needs fixing. Donnie follows Leo's gaze as it moves from him to his desk, his desk with at least five empty coffee cups on it. “Donnie…” He hates that voice. Leo rarely uses it, he sounds concerned. Not a trace of the usual joking, layback, casual demeanor he just wore. It means Donnie did something wrong. That he is wrong. Suddenly very aware of Leo’s hands on his shoulders he shrugs them off, scouting his office chair back and out of his reach. “Look, I’m trying to finish this very important project so if you could-”
“Did you sleep at all?” Leo's question silences the genius. He opens his mouth to retaliate, to lie, to laugh it off, to say something, anything. But nothing comes out. He can’t even talk right, God. His mouth won’t work with his brain, words failing and dying on his tongue. Why is he like this? None of his other siblings are, so why? Why is he broken? Why can’t he just do his job right? Why can’t Leo just leave so he can do what he’s supposed to do? Why- “-nie, hey!” Donnie’s eyes open to meet Leo’s. When did he close them? He is kneeling in front of the panicking ninja, When did he get so close? “Hey, you with me?” The blue turtle asks, his voice full of concern. His voice should never sound like that, he’s happy and carefree. He’s never concerned about anything, never taking life seriously. He did this to him. “You uh, you ok?” He stumbles, not sure what to say to help. Donnie suddenly feels annoyance and shame creep through his bones. He doesn’t need his pity let alone deserve it. Quickly standing from his chair and walking around a crouched Leo, the tired teen stands over his desk again, hands gripping the edges.
Green knuckles turn lighter as his hold tightens. He is acting like a child. “I’m fine Leo, just let me work.” Why does he have to care so much? What does Donnie even do to deserve that? He should just go and have breakfast with the others. He should just leave him alone. He’s sure they're wondering where they are. Well, at least Leo. They probably wouldn’t realize he’s not there. Leo stands, followed by a deep sigh. Donnie can hear his steps make their way behind him, Then they stop. Hesitation, Donnie recognizes. Leo is always so sure of himself. Always leaping before looking, that’s probably the biggest difference between them Donnie thinks. He checks too much, never leaping. It’s unnerving to see Leo hesitate like this. Like him. “Don this-... this isn’t healthy dude.” He starts, taking a step closer to his brother. “You’re gonna hurt yourself.” Why can’t he just go? Why can’t he leave him alone? “You can’t keep sacrificing your health for work.” Why doesn’t he understand? “Talk to me, man. What’s going on in that big fancy brain of yours?” A firm hand lands on his shoulder from behind. Every alarm in Donnie’s brain goes off at once. “Don’t!”
The distressed turtle yells, spinning to face the disturbance. He backs into the table, hitting one of the coffee cups off. The shattering of glass echoes loudly in Donnie's skull, leaving his ears ringing. Fuck. He did it again. He failed. He messed up, he isn’t doing his part. Falling to his knees Donnie scoops up the broken pieces without thinking. He is wrong, he is supposed to be smart. He can’t even help his brother's, his family. “Donnie stop!” Hands grab at his own forcing him to drop the shards. The distressed teen tears away from the grip of his brother, standing too quickly. Everything spins as sleepless nights and stress catch up to him, gripping the desk with one hand for support. “Whow, Donnie take it easy.” Leo stands too, wanting to hold him so he doesn’t fall and hurt himself, but stopping in his tracks realizing that touching him isn’t a good idea. Why is he still here? Why does he care so much about a useless tool like him? “What?!” Leo yells in concerned shock. But it’s loud, everything is too loud, too wrong. He covers his ears in a futile attempt to make everything stop, a sad broken noise escapes his lips as he hears the beating of his heart under his hands. The blue blur in front of him is saying something, but he can’t hear him. Wait, blur? It isn’t till then does he realizes he’s crying. Shit, no, no, no! The purple teen uncovers his ears to wipe the shame and disgrace off his face. “Can you hear me now?” He asks, much quieter than before. Donnie nods, not trusting his voice. Leo’s concern seems to only lessen slightly, his shoulders still rising in alarm. “You are not a useless tool.” Did… Did he say that out loud? Leo looks so sure of himself like he knows for a fact what he said was true. It annoyed Donnie to no end.
“N-No you- you don’t understand!” His voice wobbles and is rough from crying. It hurts, but he needs Leo to understand. Understand what’s so obvious to him. How he can see it plain as day but somehow Leo still doesn’t. “I-I can’t even do this one- one simple th-thing!” He gestures violently toward the heap of wires and computer chips on his desk. Leo doesn’t miss the look of disdain and hatred on his face when he talks about himself. “I can’t but- but that’s what I do! I’m supposed to be the smart one!” Leo’s frown deepens as he talks, only making Donnie more irritated that he doesn’t get it. Leo braves a step closer to his raving brother, holding his hands out so Donnie knows where they are, seeing that the last time he touched him unexpectedly didn’t go so well. “Donatello, it’s ok to struggle sometimes, hell I struggle too with things I'm good at. I spent like five minutes outside you’re lab thinking of that line, And it wasn’t even that good!” He smiles sheepishly as he ends, at any normal time he would never admit that his joke was bad. His smile soon falls though, seeing Donnie's eyes glaze over. Were the bags under his eyes that big a minute ago? “Running yourself dry like this isn’t gonna get you anywhere, you gotta take care of yourself.” Why won’t he listen? Donnie thinks to himself, he’s running on nothing but caffeine and delirium and he gets it! So why doesn’t he? “B-But I have to- if I am no longer useful then… Then I-...” His words trail off as his breath quickens. God, this is stupid. He’s throwing a tantrum like a child instead of working, only proving his point further. “But it’s important to-”
“I'M NOT AS IMPORTANT!” Donnie surprises himself with his own outburst. He’s sure Mikey and Raph heard him, hell maybe even people on the street above. But Leo, oh but Leo. he seems horrified. As if what Donnie just shouted physically hurt him. Pained, he looks pained. Donnie caused him pain. Why does he just keep making things worse and worse? The silence between them is excruciating, Only filled by Donnie’s too-fast, too-short breaths. He can’t think, his thoughts a blurred mess. He’s so tired nothing feels right. “Sit.” Donnie looks up in surprise, The blue ninja still looks concerned but there's a no buts about him, pointing to Donnie’s chair. Almost serious, or as serious as Leo can look. So he listens, slowly making his way to his office chair. He can’t look at his older brother in the eyes, shame and guilt lining his frame. “Where do you keep your first aid kit?” First aid? Why-... Oh. He hadn’t noticed one of the shards from the broken mug cut his hand open. It isn’t deep, but it’s long. Why did he pick up glass shards? He knows better than to do that.
“Don?” Oh, right. He asked him a question. “Second shelf.” The older brother walks to the other side of the large lab, looking for said first aid kit. The mutant genius can feel the exhaustion taking over again, adrenalin slowly fading. He didn’t hear Leo walk back and place the kit on his desk, nor did he hear him open it and grab the things he needed. He jumped slightly when his brother kneeled before him, coming into his vision for the first time. He really is out of it, his ninja training is nothing without sleep apparently. Wait, he asked him something didn’t he? Leo’s hands out, waiting. Oh. He needs to touch him to look after the wound. With hesitation the distressed tech wiz lets Leo take his hand. He gets to work whipping off the blood and taking the glass out of the cut in silence. It doesn’t hurt to much, the touch is surprisingly nice unlike what Donnie had expected. He never knew Leo could be so gentle. He shouldn’t have to do this though. He wants to help his brothers with his inventions, not the other way around, but he can’t find the energy in himself to argue with the blue leader. He lets go of the purple teen's hand but stays sitting on the floor In front of him. Oh, he wrapped it. When did that happen?
He silently hopes the two could just get up and go join the others and forget this ever happened, dreading what comes next. “Why?” Dam it. The older brother sounds so distraught and confused like he’s trying to grasp a reason that doesn’t exist. “Why do you think you're not as important?” He hates it, he hates that he can’t give the blue turtle the answer he is so desperately searching for because it doesn’t exist, he doesn’t even know the reason himself. He hates not knowing. It scares him. He can’t put it into words, he just isn’t. His work, his inventions, are what help the team. He is merely a vessel to achieve that. “Dunno… Just not.” His voice slurs, tired body unable to keep up with his racing mind. Blue’s face softens with concern and love for his brother Like he can read what Donnie’s thinking without him even saying it out loud. He’s always envied that about Leo. His ability to read and understand others. Donnie has never been good at determining other's emotions, let alone his own. Leo stands holding out his hand for Donnie to take. “Come on, you’re going to bed sleepy head.” He inwardly groans.
His mind telling him he can’t, that he has to finish this. That he has to prove his worth before he can. He stares holes into his out stretched hand, But in the end Leo wins. Wrestling him into his bed. Donnie’s pillow has never felt to incredible, he falls asleep instantly. His older sibling barely even getting the chance to put a blanket on him before he’s out. Maybe Donnie imagined it, maybe he was dreaming, but he swore he heard an “I love you” before he was out.
Roses are red, 🌹 Violets are blue, 🔵 Donnie needs sleep, 🐢 And so do you, 🛌 I know u reading this late at night go the fuck to bed. Starting this I didn't intend on Donnie being so autistic, but I'm a diagnosed high functioning autistic and I see myself in Donnie so I do what I want.

You stand with your arms crossed. Head tilted up, your eyes squint against the bright afternoon sun to eye the wire gate in front of you.
“So like,” JJ brings a hand to rub the back of his head, “Are those spikes to keep people out?”
“No,” Kiaras answer is simple, sad, and you glance over to look at her,
“The slave quarters are over there,” Popes head nods across the yard past the gate, and your eyebrows raise in realization, “These spikes were to keep people in,”
Minutes later, and you watch as Pope knocks on the front door once, twice, three times before stepping back, his gaze flickering between you and your two other friends, “Think that was too much?”
“It echoed the entire house, that’s for sure,” JJ flicks his eyebrows up, shrugging, “So they definitely heard it,”
“Maybe nobody’s home,” Kie hopes, Pope reaching forward to knock again, only this time the door jerks open, and you step back as a man steps into view, snarl stuck on his face as he looks between the four teenagers,
The man suddenly smirks, finger raising to point at your friend beside you, “You must be Pope,”
“Um,” Pope pauses, “Are you Mr. Limbrey?”
“Ms. Limbrey was expecting you yesterday,” The man raises an eyebrow, eyes scanning across you, JJ, then Kie before settling back on Pope,
“I’m sorry,” Pope clears his throat, “My car broke down on the way up here,”
“Carburetor blew up in the middle of Nowheresville,” JJ speaks up, so the man’s eyes then stared at JJ, slowly shifting to you so your brows furrowed,
“Yeah she was real upset when you didn’t show up,” The man stares at Pope once again, Kie shrugging a weak shoulder,
“We tried to call, but there’s no number on the invitation,”
“We got here as fast as we could,” You exhale, the man grunting as he, a third time, stares at you, before looking back to Pope,
“She also expected you to come alone,”
“I mean, these are my friends,” Pope glances back as the man rolls his eyes, “They helped find the Royal Merchant too. Y/Ns dad-,”
“Yeah the instructions were explicit,” The man cuts, “Your friends can stay outside,”
Your eyes flick to the man, nodding, silently, “We’ll keep the car running, then,”
. . .
“Look, if Limbrey is legit-,” Kiaras sudden conversation dies down at the weird sight of the man and Ms. Limbrey leading Pope to the back of the house.
You worriedly look at JJ, confused, “Does that look voluntary?”
“That would be a negative,” JJ mutters, Kiara already beginning to open the passenger door,
“Come on,”
“Whoa hold on hold on,” JJ immediately reaches to grab her arm, “They’re going into the alley,”
“Go around back,” You order, JJ throwing the truck into drive before he begins to round the house, your head shaking as you lean forward, searching the front and back window, “I don’t see them,”
“There!” Kies sudden shrieks leads JJ to slam on the breaks, his arm instantly sticking in front of you when you lurch forward, your hand grasping his forearm as you watch Pope climb in, yelling for JJ to get a move on.
It only takes three road turns before the hood of the truck begins to smoke a second time, JJ slamming a hand down onto the wheel when the truck stutters to a stop, looking at Pope next to Kie in a panic, “Now what?”
“Go around!” As everyone climbed out the truck, JJs arm slide around your back to push you forward, immediately beginning to sprint down the road behind Kie and Pope.
“Does he have a gun?” You gasp, JJ tugging on your wrist to pull you down an alley, Pope skidding in an attempt to follow, before you rush out onto the street, nearing getting hit by two people on a motor bike,
“Sorry-!” Your hand raising on reflex automatically halts upon getting a look at the rider, eyes widening as John B grins, very much alive and well in front of you, “John B?”
“Get in!” John B alarms, JJ pushing you into the back seat of the motorbike as John B began to pedal, and soon enough you find yourself on the beach, pushing a boat into the water and finally getting a gasp of air,
. . .
“He’s taken care of you while I’ve been gone, right?”
John Bs words are quiet. Your eyes move away from the warm fire in front of you, shifting your gaze over to your brother who sat next to you, beer bottle in hand.
“Just like he promised,” You hum, nodding with a small smile, “It’s really good to have you back, JB. Therapy’s been shit-,”
“Wait, you’re taking therapy?” John B questions, quietly, eyebrows pinched as his head ducks, “How’re you paying for it?”
“The school offered it after you went missing,” You explain, “Hence why it’s shit. And they’re still trying to put me in the system-,”
“I thought Kies mom would’ve let you,”
“Will you stop interrupting me?” You narrow your eyes, John B raising his hand in surrender, “We tried. But the system isn’t budging. Plus with Kie getting in trouble for hanging out with pogues, I doubt I would’ve gotten far with it,”
“Well I’m here now,” John B drops a hand onto your shoulder, shaking it, lightly, “And we’re not going anywhere,”
Your smile drops almost as soon as it comes. John B is standing on high alert, your brows pinched in confusion as you sit up in your seat, “What is it, John?”
“I heard a car door,”
You pause, eyes skimming the dark yard as JJ made his way next to your chair, “You’re probably just paranoid, JB,”
Silence, before John B is suddenly grabbing your arm, tugging you onto your feet before pushing you towards JJ, “Hide. Now,”
It’s a solid five minutes before you see him. Rafe, Barry close behind. You sit on a tree branch feet above where you once stood, hugging the large trunk for support while feeling JJs hands at your hips, keeping both you and him steady.
“Anything?” Rafes voice startles you, body jerking slightly so JJs grip tightened, leaning forward to press his chest to your back,
“Nah, there ain’t shit in there, bro,” Barry’s grumble is audible as he stomps out of the Chateau, “Nothing,”
“They were obviously just here based off the smoke,” Rafe points to the abandoned fire pit, Barry scoffing out an irritated chuckle,
“Great observation, Boy Scout,”
“They gotta be around here somewhere,” Rafes head shakes, his body turning to face the tree you sat perched on, eyes landing on the engraved memorial on the tree for John B,
“P4L,” Barry snickers, Rafes jaw clenching as he nods, “Yo sisters a pogue for life now, huh, Rafe?”
“Shit!!” Rafes shout is loud, Barry even stepping back once as Rafe raises the gun in his hand, shooting once, twice, at the tree, before Barry rushes forward, grabbing at Rafes arm.
The movement jerks the gun upwards as it continues to shoot, JJs arm jolting out in front of your face as his other fully wraps around your front, nearly shielding you as your hands fly to your head,
“Rafe, chill!” Barry demands, “You’re gonna get our asses busted, man! Let’s bounce. Let’s go!”
The two take off in a sprint. JJ raises his head from your shoulder, eyes immediately gazing down at where your breaths heaved, hand clutching at your thigh- that stained red,
“Holy shit,” JJs hand tugs your arm up, leaning back to fully look at the grazed bullet mark on your thigh, “Holy fuck, John B, she got hit,”
“What?” John B forces himself to climb a branch over to you, your gasp wheezed in a panic as JJs arm tugs you to face him, hand pressing down hard on your thigh,
“She got fucking shot, dude!” JJ lifts his hand momentarily from the wound to lift you off the branch, your arm immediately coming around his shoulders for support as he leapt off the branch, catching you from impact, “I need towels, and water- where the fuck is Kie when we need her?!”
JJ lowers you to sit against the tree, John B rushing inside the Chateau as Sarah stares in a panic, JJs hands raising to your face so one cheek was stained with blood,
“Baby, you’re okay,” He sounds like he’s trying to reassure himself more than you, but the quickness of your breathing worries him to the point of you passing out, “The bullet just grazed you, you’re okay,”
Your head knocks back against the tree with a pinch of your eyes, JJ looking over his shoulder as John B shoves a towel in his face, followed by a roll of tape and bandages while a water bottle remains clutched in his free hand,
“I’m gonna fucking kill him,” JJs mutter leads your eyes to open, instantly shutting again at the sheer pain of JJ tightening the bandage around your thigh,
Your hiss is loud, hand grabbing at JJs shoulder so he looks up, eyes softening at your pinched brows and glossy eyes,
“There’s blood, everywhere,” Despite the wound being patched, you still seem in shock, eyes wide on the blood staining your hands and his, which now stained his tank top,
“Let’s get a shower, baby,” JJs arm slides to your back, heaving you up on your feet so your own hand grips the fabric of said tank top, “You’re good, you’re good,”
“Holy shit,” John Bs hand raises to his hair, eyes flicking to Sarah when she squeezes his free arm, assuringly. His eyes flick down to her own bullet wound, heaving a breath, “Fuck,”
The next morning, Kie and Pope park the boat at the dock, Kiaras brows pinched as the group of four rushed down the dock, JJs arm supporting your limped form,
“What’s going on?” Pope stands from his spot, eyes zooming in on your leg, “What the fuck happened?”
“Rafe knows they’re back,” JJ hisses, “Went fucking nuts and shot a gun. Hit Y/N,”
“It just grazed, she’ll be okay,” Sarah reminds, as JJ steps into the boat, first, arms reaching out to you to help you step in,
“We’ve gotta go, there’s no telling when he’ll be back,” John B rushes, Kiara nodding before moving back to the boats wheel.
. . .
“Look, if Rafe and Barry know, it’s only a matter of time,”
You settle yourself on a rock perched, eyes watching as Kie, Sarah and Pope took seats, while JJ and John B continued to stand.
“I told you,” JJ scoffs, “We should’ve gone south, man,” JJ jabs a finger towards John B, “Why does no one ever listen?”
“I get it! I get it, I understand,” John B tries, JJ shaking his head as he spins, gesturing a hand out to you,
“Obviously not! Not only did you let Rafe shoot Sarah, but he shot your sister! You better be fucking glad that bullet grazed her!”
“J,” You murmur, raising your own hand so he heaves a sigh, taking your hand while standing beside you, refusing to sit,
“I know my dad,” Sarah speaks up, “He’s going to have to choose between me and Rafe, he’ll choose me. I just need two hours,”
JJ raises his arm and let’s it drop to his side as Sarah moves towards the boat, your eyes watching, silently, as she leaves without another word.
“J, sit down,” You murmur, tugging at his fingers, so he finally sunk down next to you, head fallen forward with a deep sigh.
. . .
“So, how’d it go?”
As John B helped Sarah off the boat, JJ peeled the old bandaged from your thigh. Your small hiss leads him to whisper an apology, taking the roll of fresh bandages from Kie to unravel,
“You were right,” Sarah sighs, glancing over her shoulder where JJ tucked the bandages over one another, before rolling down your shorts, taking your hands to stand you up, “It didn’t work,”
“Welp, then that settles it, guys,” JJ snips, looking over his own shoulder to narrow his eyes at her, “Now y’all need to load up in the paddy wagon and get the heck out of Dodge right now,”
“Yeah, you’ll need the supplies,” Pope nods, “Then y’all will need to split as soon as possible,”
“Guys I think it’s too late,” Kie speaks, your eyes shifting to the side of the water, squinting at three police boats,
“They followed you here?”
“We gotta go,” JJ rushes, throwing your arm over his shoulders while his own loops at your waist, beginning to pull you after John B, who did the same with Sarah, “Go!”
“Oh my gosh,” You heave, looking over your shoulder in a panic, “We won’t get far- with two injured people-,”
“I’ve got you,” JJ breathes, following your eyesight to a man trailing behind with a gun, “We’re good,”
The group ducks behind a large tree, your body turning to press your back to it, eyes staring at two cop cars skidding to a stop in the sand, “Guys,”
“What do we do?”
“We’re not getting out of this,” JJ heaves, your eyes watching him pull something- his gun- from his pocket, “We gotta make a stand,”
“J, no,” Your hand grasps his shirt, fisting it, “No, that’s not the answer,”
John B rushes to grab JJs wrist, grasping the gun with his free to toss it at your feet, head shaking, “Listen to her,”
JJ looks at you, watching your foot shuffle to throw dirt over the gun, covering it, JJ side stepping halfway in front of you as Shoupe and several officers rushed forward, all heading for John B.
“No no no- stop!”
. . .
“They’re gonna kill him in there,” You tug your cardigan over your front, sighing. Your eyes glance across the outside of the courthouse, sighing as JJs fingers grasped your upper arm, keeping you next to him.
“I’m sorry about what happened to you and your family,” You hear a man, glancing over to see him speaking with Ward, “Thank God for the system,”
“Can you shut the fuck up?” You spit without thinking, JJs fingers tightening in warning as the two men looked over, “Of course you think the system worked because it was made to protect people like you,”
“He’ll have his day in court, a jury will decide,”
“He shouldn’t even be in court!” You pull your arm free, pointing to Ward, “You should, because you’re a murderer!”
“I know you’re upset,” Ward speaks, your eyebrows flicking up, “I know he’s got you all fooled, about this, about your father,”
“You know what really happened to my father, because you were there!” You step forward, JJ instantly sliding in front of you to grasp your arms, Shoupe behind you,
“No, no, get the fuck off her,” JJ jabs a finger to Shoupe, “Why don’t you go arrest a Kook for a change, huh?”
“You wanna get arrested? Get out! You need to go,”
“You’re a piece of shit Ward,” You hiss, “No wonder your daughters with us,”
“Okay, baby, you gotta stop,” JJ grasps your shoulders, spinning you around so Kie took your hand, “Let’s go,”
. . .
“I’m gonna testify under oath,”
Your eyes can barely stay open at this point. Curled on the couch on the patio, your halflidded eyes watch Sarah pace, “I was there! I just need to get in contact with my sister,”
“Sister?” JJ grumbles, your shrug light as his fingers trail across your bare legs.
“Wheeze was the only one who knows Rafe wasn’t home that day!”
“Wheeze?” JJ questions,
“I don’t know what else to do!” Sarah panics, “I got us into this mess, I have to get us out!”
“She’s right about one thing, we have to think of something,” JJ sits up, hand now grasping your calf,
“And do what? Kidnap Shoupe?”
“That’s not actually the worst idea, Kie,”
“It’s not?” “No!”
“That’s actually the worst idea ever,” Pope cuts, JJ jabbing a finger towards him,
“Okay, Pope, we’ve been doing everything your way, and how has that been going?”
“Okay so what’s your plan?” Pope stands, now nearly hovering over both you and JJ, “You’re gonna storm a jail, guns-a-blazing?”
“All I’m saying is that they have our boy,” JJ stands up, you sitting up to grab his wrist, warning him, “And we’re just gonna sit on our asses? No, we’re gonna do something about it!”
“We are not storming a jail. That’s not happening,”
“That’s fine man,” JJ mutters, “Sit in your comfy chair. Do nothing. I’m gonna see what I can do. Make something happen, even if I have to do it myself,”
“JJ,” You stand up, hand still ahold of his wrist, “Come with me,”
JJ fixes his hat onto his head, jaw rolling as he fixes your grasp to take his fingers, letting you pull him into the rain outside the patio. He allows you to drag him to the hammocks, your hand running through your now wet hair as you look up at him,
“JJ, we can’t do this again,”
“I’m trying to save him, Y/N,” JJs brows pinch, hair sticking to his forehead as he looks down at you, “Do you not want that?”
“Of course I do, but not in a wreckless way!” You speak loudly over the rain, hands now grasping his shirt at his sides, “I need you to think this through. Last time something like this happened, we got in a fight and nearly broke up. I’m not watching you do something like this again, okay?”
His head tilts back to look up, wet hair falling back as his chest heaves in a deep sigh. Your hands raise to his jaw, tilting his head down to you, eyes instantly closing when your lips press to his, his own hands pressing to your face.
“Are you calm?” You barely pull back, him instantly pulling you back against him, his grasp lightening as he leans back, eyes flicking between yours.
“I’m going to think of something,” You blink, JJ pressing a kiss to your wet forehead before releasing you, stepping towards his dirt bike.
“I love you,” You call, waiting for him to look at you, “I really do,”
“I love you too,” He breathes, fixing his hat, “Stay safe,”
. . .
“That’s a lot of wax on your board. Put too much wax, it’s gonna be slippery,”
“Are you telling me how to wax my board?”
“I’m just saying,” Pope raises his hands as JJ raises an eyebrow, “That’s a lot of wax,”
“Guys, chill out, please,” You heave, JJ looking at you upon a distanced honk,
“You hear that?”
You look over, sitting up straight in your chair to see the Twinkie driving up, your smile wide as you push to stand to your feet, “Nuh-uh,”
“Yuh-huh!” Your brother grins as he slams the door to the van, running up to embrace you, “Guess whose out of the clink boy!”
“Uh, they dropped the charges,” John B sheepishly grins, JJ raising his brows,
“So all that work, I did for nothing,”
“Oh, the most elaborate escape plan of all time?” Pope jokes, John B looking around in confusion,
“Wait, where’s Sarah?” At everyone’s pause, he looks at you, “Where is Sarah?”
“She went to see Wheezie last night,” Kie speaks, “She hasn’t come back,”
. . .
“So,”
You lift your head from the hammock you laid on, JJ stretched out beside you, opposite end, hand messing with the anklet on your foot, “He’s out, huh?”
“Yeah, he is,” You breathe, foot jerking when JJ tickles the bottom, your giggle light so he smiles,
“There she is,” He murmurs, grasping your ankle to tug on it, “C’mere,”
You sit up, shifting to turn around without rocking the hammock too much to knock you off, laying tucked against JJs side as his arm hooks around your shoulders.
“What’re you thinkin’ ‘bout, pretty girl?” JJs lips press to your forehead, resting there when you exhale through your nose,
“How we can’t seem to catch a break,” You murmur, hand twisting his t-shirt mindlessly, “Ever since Dad went missing, we’ve just been running. And now that Limberys involved it doesn’t seem to be getting any better,”
“We’re gonna get a break soon,” JJ speaks, tilting his head to rest overtop of yours, “And I mean hey, when’s the last time we sat in this hammock, hm?”
“Yeah, I have missed this,” You slide your arm across his chest, before he twists, facing you. Your hand reaches up to comb his blonde hair from his face, the back of your hand brushing across his cheek. “I love you, JJ,”
JJ hums, head leaning forward to kiss your lips, hand reaching for the back of your head, “I love you, too, baby,” A peck, then two, and you giggle as he continues, moving to kiss your cheek, “So so so much,”
“J!” You cackle, JJ rolling to hover above you, the hammock rocking against his movements, “J, we are gonna fall if you don’t quit,”
“You’re just too irresistible, baby,” JJ leans down, your hands cupping his neck to hold him still, “Can’t get enough of you,”
You allow his teeth to dig into your bottom lip, hand sliding up your flowy shirt to graze your rib cage, inching to your chest,
“Guys!” Kies shout startles you to lean back, looking over in alarm as JJ sits up with his hands at your hips, “We gotta go, Wards at the dock.”
