Summery: Megumi and (Y/n) go on their usual cafe “hangouts”, but this time was a bit different.

Megumi x Reader

Author’s note: Can you tell I like coffee?

You hand Megumi one of the frappes you're holding. Megumi happily takes it with a deadpan expression, inserting his straw through the smooth cream and chocolate drizzle.

"That one's Mocha, this one's Java chip." You say, taking a seat across from him.

The two of you are in Starbucks. You'd usually go to random cafes on Saturday, exploring different, new cafes. But today Megumi has Gojo's credit card, so might as well take advantage of it.

Megumi nods in acknowledgment of your statement, he then takes a sip of the coffee through the straw.

It's the perfect combination of sweet and bitter. A smooth, cold frappe, laced with a slight tase of chocolate. When the cream melts into the drink, it only adds to balance.

That's why it's one of your favorites.

But today, you and Megumi agreed to try new drinks you've never tried. Megumi hasn't tried Mocha before and you haven't tried Java chip before.

You take a sip of your own drink with the straw. Carefully sucking so you won't choke on the chocolate bits.

It's just like Mocha, just a bit more bitter and the chocolate bits scratch your throat and tongue. It's good, of course. It's just a bit strange.

Megumi immediately notices this.

"So what do you think?" He asks, his voice it's usually nonchalant and husky self.

Your lips form a small pout while you think. You shrug while answering.

"It's actually pretty good."

The dark haired boy nods and continues sip his drink, but he keeps an eye on you.

You both have your phones out, arms resting on the small shared table as you scroll through them. Just sharing a drink at Starbucks, being each other's comfortable company.

You continue to drink your frappe again, but one of the chocolate bits scratch your throat a little too much, causing a little cough to escape your lips.

Once the sound reaches Megumi's ears, they perk up and his gaze quickly shifts to you. His phone abruptly turning off.

"Are you okay?" He asks, worry lacing his words.

"Megumi, I'm fine. Just choked a bit." You giggle softly after clearing your throat.

A small sigh leaves Megumi. He's still hesitant about moving his eyes away from you, but after watching take a few more little sips, he goes back to his phone.

When a cough escapes you once more, that's when Megumi just straight up snatches the Java chip frappe away from you.

"Hey-" You were about to argue.

He slides his drink over to you across the table. You look at it with a confused glare, until you huff and reluctantly, but gladly take it.

You take a sip through the straw and your expression quickly softens when your tongue meets with the cool, smooth, familiar taste.

Megumi can't help but smile while he watches you and takes a sip of his own of the Java chip frappe in his hand. He hasn't tried to before, but it's tasted good and some how made it's way to his favorites list.

You two probably didn't even noticed you just exchanged straws and whole drinks probably tainted with each other's saliva.

"Thanks, Gumi." You spoke up, a little small on your lips.

"No problem, idiot." He responds, though his words hold no malice.

Your eyes meet his in a quiet moment, but that's when you notice a small little smudge of red/pink on Megumi's lips. It came from your straw. It's came from your chapstick/lipstick/lipgloss.

And soon enough, your cheeks are dusted with the same color. Megumi tilts his head to the side curiously when he catches the blush on your cheeks.

"Are you having a fever? I told you, you shouldn't be drinking cold drinks during winter-"

"N-no, um... You got a little something on your lips." You interrupt him, pointing at your own lip to show him where the mess is.

He was quick to try and wipe it off, but fails. So you get up a bit from your seat, leaning forward and carefully bring a hand up to his face.

You don't make contact just yet, you make sure it was fine for him for you to touch him. As if he were reading your mind, he nods, allowing you to gently press your thumb against the corner of his lips.

You wipe the smudge off with ease, then smile.

"There we go."

The boy looks down at you thumb. His eyebrows furrow when he sees a pink/red smudge on your thumb instead of the brown/white coffee color he expected.

"What's that?" He questions.

Your gaze flickers between him and the smudge on your thumb. It's not like you can lie. You sight quietly.

"My chapstick/lipstick/lipgloss." You mutter, glancing away.

"How did- oh..." His once confused narrowed eyes widen in realization.

A also decides to creep up to his cheeks, as he stares at you for a moment too long.

"Sorry about that-" You chuckle awkwardly.

"Why'd you wipe it off?" He says, his eyes unconsciously moving down to your lips.

They're no longer located with your lip product, only slightly tainted with the pretty color of coffee, glossy and plump from the coldness of the drink.

You were perplexed by his words. Before you can even question them, you're shut up by his lips.

Soft and cold. Sweet with the taste of chocolate, coffee and cream. The kiss was gentle, yet hungry. Shock fills your body, making it jerk back to your seat, only for Megumi to follow with hands quickly flying to cup your face.

His eyes closed, so you close yours. Easing into the kiss, you just noticed how good the coffee tastes along with his sweet, saliva.

I watched Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence earlier this year and it still has me in such a strong chokehold, even more when I think about tragic lovers stsg. 🙃 Straight-laced Geto (Yonoi) + whimsical Gojo (Celliers)— Geto doing everything he can to keep the foreign prisoner safe? Gojo being called an evil spirit just for being his li'l charming self? The pet store had everything I wanted for my tank! I got a laced java fern, dwarf sword fern, anubias nana petite, cryptocoryne wendtii, a betta bulb, christmas moss and a small marimo... Plus I got the tank substrate and a good wood piece! For now they are all banished to the quarantine tank...

My actual tank should be here sometime this week, and then I will further sanitize the plants to be sure they lack any stragglers... Very excited!

All the white ones, and the two black ones are Easter eggers. They lay blue eggs and are easily my favorites. That could be because they were the first 5 birds I got. Bonus photo of my favorites Onigiri and Torchic. Onigiri is the one with cross beak. She ended up being a sort of indoor chicken for a while. The other white one in that group is Chocobo. Hyrule is the brownish one and Hanako is the all black one. She had like 5 extra toes. Hyrule jumps on my shoulder now every time I go outside. I work from home and my coworkers love it when I work outside cause she always just chills on my shoulder for calls. She’s a very hard working lady~

The one with the strawberry in the other pictures and her sister are faverolles. I think so far that’s my next favorite. They just talk a lot and I think it’s cute. They also like to cuddle, not as much as the Easter eggers but the Easter eggers are the only ones I raised from chicks. Their names are Maha and Skittle.

The big round ones are silver laced red Wyandottes. They were actually retired show hens and they both acted like it for sure. I like to think they talked like retired broadway actresses. Their names were Madame and Chunk. They weren’t very friendly but they kept peace in the flock very well.

The red ones, I’m not really sure honestly. They were an impulse buy because a raccoon got into my coop and I lost a lot of birds. I got them at a farm auction. They’re kinda skittish and would sell your soul for a slice of bread but I love them. Java and C# are their names.

I really recommend everyone get birds! They’re so sweet and I love them so much!

If I didn't have to spend so much of my time working in order to afford food and housing to live, and if money wasn't a problem, I would just love to be constantly learning.

There's so many different forms of art I'm interested in, like sculpture, ceramics, metalworking, jewelry making, woodworking, weaving, lace making, figure art, painting, or digital art. I want to do it all!

Or even outside of art, I'd love to continue learning about Java or other coding languages, how to build websites, there's just so much that I want to learn.

But when you have to work paycheck to paycheck just to make ends meet, there's not enough time, and definitely not enough money, to be able to do that.
