It was a fine day for alan until he opened the fridge to find the last of his cheese stick is gone and he devastated inside and looking out for who did it."

He scrounging through and asking his coworkers if they eat the last of string cheese."

Charlie: "no man i definitely didn't eat it."

Glep: no

Meanwhile pim just came in through the discussion with the string cheese in hand and eating it & alan look to his right to see pim with his cheese."

Alan: "You took my cheese!!!😠

Pim: "Oh uhhh sorry alan, i didn't know it was yo-

Alan: Save it!

Alan cut off pim

Before pim could run or even step back

alan scoop up pim like a baby and whisper into pim ear(if he has any) and said

Alan: "i'll make wish you'll regret this."

Alan fingers start wiggling in pim armpits and pim hold in his laughter as he try talk

Pim: "kkkk a-alan no n-not this."

Pim was squriming and trying to get out of alan grasp as pim asks for help

Pim: nngh c-charlie Hehelp get alan."

Meanwhile charlie look from his phone to say

Charlie: "Nah pim that upon you, you deserve it."

Pim was pounding his fists against allan chest as he no longer could handle his laughter in as he laugh loudly as alan fingers were exploring his torso and alan let out a huff

Allan: ha u should've thought of that before you eat my cheese pim

Pim: "Heeheehee hahhaahhaha ihihihit wahahahs ahahhah aahahhahcihihidihihehet."

Alan teased pim as he squeezes pim sides and pim tried to push alan away but alan kept his hold on pim as pim kick his little legs."

Alan: since u eat my cheese u need to buy me more of my beloved cheese

Alan pull up his shirt to dig his index finger inside pim's navel as pim throw his head back and howled in laughter from the intruding finger wiggling around the walls of his bellybutton

And through the whole day pim gets alan his cheese back in the store and alan is glad but not happy thou."

summary: after dominik loses the north american championship you’re there to help pick up the pieces.

A/N: thank you too @rheas-ripley and some others my request are stacked!! tysm🫶🫶 so I am trying to get to all of them! but I’m in Columbia rn w no service, I only get service at the air bnb, and I’m here for a week so yea! but I am trying!

you were on the edge of your seat, watching dominik's title match. anxiously biting at your nails, your foot jittering up and down anxiously.

your gaze was locked on the monitor as dragon lee executed his finisher, you flinched at the hard impact. your hands instinctively moved to cover your mouth.

and as the ref began to count, time felt like it was dragging, each second stretched out. it was like it was all in slow motion.

1!

you were hoping for dom to escape the pim, understanding that holding the championship meant the world to him. that this was his chance to show he's not just some character they fans boo at.

he wanted to silence the everyone, to prove he's earned his spot, and to show just how far he's come since turning on his dad.

you clasped both your hands in front of your lips. muttering a quick prayer under your breath, "come on, dom, kick out," urging him on silently.

ding! ding! ding!

your jaw dropped, watching as dragon lee celebrated. rushing over to embrace dominik's dad, rey mysterio, who was seated at ringside.

you felt a bitter taste creeping up inside you.

your mind racing, you watched the crowd cheer for dragon lee. all praising him. the camera panned to dominik, rolling out disappointed but scowling at lee and the fans.

you stood backstage waiting for him in the gorilla. dominik pushed past the curtain moments later, looking exhausted. a few of the crew gave him words of encouragement, he acknowledged them before moving to you. he gave you a small kiss on the cheek

he wiped his face with a towel, breathing heavily. his body was drenched in sweat from the intense match.

when he saw you, his expression softened. but you could tell he was upset. "I'm gonna go shower." he muttered into your ear before giving you another quick kiss and walking away.

you knew that dominik was putting on a brave face, he wanted to show everyone that he wasn't going to let losing the championship affect him. but you could tell that he was frustrated and upset.

your eyes followed dominik as he went towards the showers, and you felt your heart break at just how upset he looked. he was putting on a brave face for everyone else.

even though dominik was young, he constantly strived to meet the expectations placed on him. the expectations that came with being a wwe legends son. he didn't want to look weak in front of everyone.

but at the end of the day when you’d both leave and go home, you knew the truth. you knew how much the loss affected him. how much it hurt to lose the championship that meant so much to him.

and you hated that he was acting like he wasn't affected by it. that he couldn't even let his feelings out to the one person he trusted the most.

you sighed running your hand through your hair frustrated.

you were talking with roxanne when your phone buzzed in your pocket. you excused yourself as you checked it seeing a message from dom.

you checked your phone, seeing you had a text from dom. "I'm ready to go back to the hotel, I have your stuff just meet me in the parking lot when your done."

you sent him a quick text back, letting him know that you'd be there soon.

and finally, you told roxanne that you had to head out. she didn't ask too many questions, just giving you a quick smile before nodding.

you began the walk to the parking lot. you checked your phone again as you walked, seeing that dom had replied, letting you know he'd be waiting at his car.

once you reached the parking lot, you began looking for where you two had parked the car earlier. as soon as you spotted it, you began to walk towards it.

you quickly approached dom's car, seeing him leaning against it. his arms folded, and his gaze directed at the floor. he looked pretty exhausted, and you felt a small pang of empathy for him.

you couldn't help but frown as you got closer, wanting to help him feel better in any way you could.

"hey..." you said softly.

dom's head snapped up, turning to look at you. he was silent for a moment, before finally speaking. "hey.”

he tried to put on a smile, but it was clear from the look in his eyes that he was still upset. "you ready to go?"

"yea i am." you said, he opened the passenger door for you before passing over to the drivers side

as you settled yourself in the passenger seat, he quickly got in the driver's side and started the car. for a few moments, neither of you spoke. he was clearly lost in his own thoughts.

you were also quiet, just watching him driving. finally, you decided to break the silence. "are you okay”

"yeah, I'm fine.” he muttered, his voice coming out quiet and hoarse. he didn't seem convinced when he said it. he kept his eyes on the road, his gaze straight ahead.

there was a heavy silence in the car, as if all air had been sucked out of the car. you tried to think of something to say, to break the heavy tension. but your mind was completely blank.

dom was still staring straight ahead, not seeming to want to look at you at all. it was clear that he was trying to hold back his feelings.

he pulled up outside of the hotel, turning off the engine and unbuckling his seatbelt. he looked over at you, finally looking at you once again. his expression was still stoic, but there was a hint of sadness in his eyes.

he climbed out of the car, walking over to your side and opening the door for you.

you got out the car, waiting for him as he grabbed both of your bags out the trunk. you both went over to the hotel entrance, and he opened the door for you once more before following after.

once inside, the lobby was mostly empty besides a few hotel workers busy behind the front desk. however, you could faintly hear music and laughter coming from one of the rooms.

dom led you over to the elevator, pressing the button before leaning against the wall. he looked he looked exhausted, keeping silent.

he let out a long breath, his eyes still directed at the floor. he seemed like he was completely lost in his own thoughts and didn't want to speak about it.

as the elevator doors doors opened to reveal the hallway of your floor, you both made your way down to your room. he fished out his keycard from his wallet to unlock the door. you both walked in grabbing your bag he'd left by the door.

the room was quiet and clean, much like a hotel room should be. dom closed the door behind him, and you could hear the lock clicking loudly before the room fell silent once again.

dom sat down on the edge of the mattress, seemingly exhausted as he begun to take his shoes off.

you laid your suitcase on the bed, going to your knees to look for pijamas. you looked behind you seeing dom, your heart tightened as you stood up. you walked over to him sitting down next to him, you rested your head on his shoulder taking his hand in yours.

"babe talk to me."

he turned to look at you, his gaze still downcast. he gave you a small, tired smile, seeming almost relieved that you were there.

"i'm fine. everythings alright.” he muttered, giving your hand a quick squeeze.

you looked up at him, "but you're not fine."

he stayed silent, not moving an inch. he was clearly still trying to hide his feelings, putting on a brave face.

"i'm fine.” he repeated again, sounding slightly more convincing this time. the tension was palpable.

"dom please." you pleaded softly, you just wanted to be there for him. you just wanted him to let you be there for him.

you could see the strain of trying to stay strong slowly starting to crack. he let out a heavy sigh, his gaze going back to the floor. he stayed quiet for a moment, before finally speaking again.

"it just sucks-" he muttered, his voice coming out hoarse. not being the champion anymore seemed to be weighing on him.

"it feels like i've failed. I failed you; I failed the fans; I failed everybody." he muttered, a mixture of exhaustion and sadness in his voice.

"oh, baby, you didn't fail me; you did the best you could."

"and the best i could do wasn't enough." he replied, still keeping his gaze cast to the ground. he was clearly frustrated and upset, disappointed with himself.

his free hand moved restlessly, and you saw that he was tightly kneading the fabric of his pants.

you begin to trace patterns on his hand, looking down at your intertwined hand. "dom listen to me, you gave it everything. I'm proud of how hard you fought. this isn't the end. you'll get through this-we'll get through this. together."

he stayed silent for a moment, his gaze going up to meet yours. his expression softened, and you could tell he was trying his best to believe your words.

he swallowed, and his hands relaxed a little bit, though you still saw some tension there. "I don't know, y/n/n, I just- I just feel so defeated right now.”

your eyebrows furrowed, your heart hurt seeing him hurt. you gently turned his head so he'd look at you. "dom." you said softly, searching in his eyes, you wanted to say something instead you just wrapped your arms around his neck. pulling him into a hug.

he leaned into the hug, finally burying his face in your shoulder and letting out a heavy breath. he held on to you tightly.

he was lost in his own thoughts, the weight of having failed again weighing him down. it was clear that, although he was trying to stay strong and move on, he needed some comfort right now.

"I don't know any way to convince you that you deserve everything you've gotten and so much more." you mumbled into his shoulder, "dom you're gonna get so much more title opportunities, I just know you will."

he stayed silent for a moment, his head staying buried into your shoulder as he took in your words. he was still trying to process the loss, trying to convince himself he would have other chances.

finally, he spoke. “I'm just scared. that this is the start of the end, y'know?"

"this isn't." you reassured, "you’re so young, and your career is just starting. you have so much more to do."

he stayed silent again, but you could see him slowly believing what you were saying. he was still disappointed with having failed to keep the championship, but he was coming around to the thought that he would have more opportunities.

he looked up at you, and his expression softened a bit. "I appreciate you being here for me, amor..." he said quietly.

"you dont have to thank me, ill always be there for you."

he smiled softly, giving you a quick kiss on the cheek. "I know you will... and I love you." he said quietly, his hand moving to hold yours.

“I love you too," you told him. his fingers laced with yours, his gaze now fully on you.

he smiled softly, and for the first time since his match, he looked genuinely happy. as if all the worries had momentarily washed away, and he was now in the present with you.

your eyes moved to the stray hair that had fallen on his forehead, you moved it away gently. “you ready for bed?” you asked your gaze going back onto his eyes.

he gave a small chuckle, and looked back at the bed. he nodded, seeming relieved that the mood had shifted. "yeah.” he said, letting go of your hand. “I'm beat."

you stood up tying your hair up. “same, but I’m gonna go shower first.”

he gave you a small wink, moving over to you, letting his hand trail down your side. he leaned down, whispering into your ear. “I know a way to save water.”

you rolled your eyes, “no dom.” you said playfully.

he chuckled, a slight grin spread across his face. "pleaseeeee?" he whined, making it sound like a child asking for candy. he tried to give you his best puppy dog face, his eyes looking at you hopefully, the two of you making eye contact.

after a moment you caved, “fine.” you said, “hurry up.” you laughed out running away from him into the bathroom.

he let out a small laugh at your reluctant agreement, chasing you into the bathroom.

NEW PROJECT announced for Alexander Skarsgård to star and executive produce "Pillion"

via Variety (5.8.24):

Alexander Skarsgard (“The Northman,” “Succession”) and Harry Melling (“The Pale Blue Eye,” “The Queen’s Gambit”) are set to lead the cast of “Pillion,” described as a “fun and filthy romance with heart” and being produced by multi-Oscar-winning powerhouse Element Pictures.

The film �� to be launched in Cannes by Cornerstone, which is handling worldwide sales — marks the feature debut of Harry Lighton, whose short “Wren Boys” was nominated for best British short at the 2018 BAFTAs, was nominated for a BIFA and had its U.S. premiere at the Sundance Film Festival.

“Pillion” follows Colin (Melling), a weedy wallflower letting life pass him by. That is until Ray (Skarsgård), the impossibly handsome leader of a motorbike club, takes him on as his submissive. Ray uproots Colin from his dreary suburban life, introducing him to a community of kinky, queer bikers and taking all sorts of virginities along the way. But as Colin steps deeper into Ray’s world of rules and mysteries, he begins to question whether the life of a 24/7 submissive is for him. Has he found his calling, or simply swapped one form of suffocation for another? 

The film — set to shoot in the U.K. this summer — is an Element Pictures production financed by BBC Film, Picturehouse Entertainment and September Films, who will handle distribution in the U.K. and Benelux respectively. The BFI is also supporting the film. The screenplay was developed with BBC Film and is based on Adam Mars-Jones’ “Box Hill” which was the 2019 Fitzcarraldo Editions Novel Prize winner. Element Pictures’ Emma Norton, Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe will produce together with Lee Groombridge. BBC Film’s Eva Yates, Claire Binns for Picturehouse, September Films’ Pim Hermeling and Skarsgård are executive producers. Louise Ortega is the BFI’s executive for the project. Heads of department include cinematographer Nick Morris (“Wren Boys”), production designer Francesca Massariol (“The Strays”), BIFA Award winning costume designer Grace Snell (“The Souvenir”), BIFA Award nominated composer Oliver Coates (“Aftersun”) and casting director Kahleen Crawford (“Lost Daughter”).

So, I'm kinda thinking that once Chapter 14 is done, I'll start working on the HUT x SF oneshot that I've been playing with for a while. I wasn't sure if I wanted to make it, but after now understanding the movie more, I just might, even if no one will read it. I kinda have an idea of how it's gonna go, mainly having it be canon divergent in making Anima and Lee real people instead of Abel's hallucinations. Or maybe we can have Pim and Charlie ground Abel back to reality and he speaks about Anima and Lee like they're real when they're not? We'll see what happens once the pen gets going.

snow queen would have a family reunion at some point, how chaotic would it be cuz I feel like some one would start a fight at some point

oh YES.

this sat in my drafts for a looong time because I had to try and figure out the logistics, as well as just how many people are being invited to this family reunion, so LET’S GO!

as a disclaimer — the family reunion would take place post-series, so Fionna and Cake canon is also fringe being considered.

firstly, we have the list of invitations. Magic Simon takes care of this, as he has a functioning memory (something that Snow Betty is mildly lacking in — she’s been worse, but it’s still a little bit closer to a sieve than a bowl). the invitees are:

- The Main Children: Marceline, Jake, Finn, Fionna, Cake, Gunther, Fern

- The Citizen Children: candy orphans, Little Dude, various penguinfolk, Snow Betty’s myriad of sentient ice constructs, The Grandpups

- The Family Adjacents Such As Spouses And Close Good Friends: Bonnibel, Lady Rainicorn, Phoebe, Prismo, BMO, Susan Strong, Marshall Lee, Gary Gumball

- Random People Who Are Somehow Also Invited: Huntress Wizard, various other princesses, Abracadaniel and Abracadebra, Peppermint Butler, Death, the Living Island, Minerva in the form of a bot, Lemongrab (for some godforsaken reason), King Man (formerly known as Magic Man), Glob Gob Grob Grod (who doesn’t show up but that’s probably for the best)

I’ve probably forgotten someone, but these are the people I remember so that’s who’s on the list. Patience St Pim is not invited and is actively uninvited, in the sense that they sent her a note saying ‘don’t you dare show up to this or we’re putting you in Magic Time Out again’. they have no idea if it reached her or not.

as for the reunion itself… well, it starts out okay? everyone seems to be getting along, Fern and Huntress Wizard hit it off, Little Dude is chilling on top of BMO while they both walk around and join in on people’s conversations, the penguins have started some sort of fish poker game and those delinquent candy orphans have joined them. all in all, everything seems to be going fine until someone (Peppermint Butler) makes a comment about someone else (Lemongrab) and it all goes to hell in a handbasket. Marceline is forced to restore order by flying up to hang from the chandelier and screech at everyone to sit down and behave themselves or there won’t be any dessert. Snow Betty does in fact freeze Lemongrab to his seat so he’ll behave himself. It’s not very effective. seating Death and King Man next to Peppermint Butler so he’ll be too distracted to be rude, however, is very effective.

Bonnibel gets to meet Gary and Marshall, who are just as weirded out by her as she is by them. their world is fantastical, sure, but it’s also based around a city, not a bunch of kingdoms. plus, it’s just kinda weird to meet your literal doppelgänger. Marceline took it a lot better, mostly because she was already used to Magic Simon and Snow Betty’s weirdness and was therefore prepared for the multiverse bullshittery.

Prismo, interestingly enough, does actually show up! he’s also the one who lets Fionna, Cake, Marshall, and Gary come over for the reunion. he brings Cosmic Owl as his plus-one, which is… interesting, but he also shows up as a 3D being, which is even weirded. he’s still completely pink though.

later in the evening, Huntress Wizard gets in a fistfight with a penguin and almost loses, but manages to win because Fern starts cheering her on. there’s probably more weird stuff that happens at the family reunion but this is already gettin way too long, so. ask me again maybe later

Pim got snatched by armzo and pinned pin the wall and holding pim by his collar and bring his other arms to about to punch pim as charlie was trying to call 911 while in a panick state but his hands is shaking so much

Meanwhile armzo was about to punch pim in the face until he saw pim puffed in up his cheeks and they blushing

Armzo:What are u laughing for huh

Pim: mmm n-nothing i-it's ur hand

Armzo was a bit curious about this pink guy as armzo got a click in his mind as he decided play it off maybe this will cheer him up just tickling the stranger and decide to play it off

Armzo decided to poke pim's stomach as pim sqeauked as charlie stopped doing what he doing from when he heard the sqeauk

That when Armzo use his arms as restraints as he use his second arms to wiggle his fingers over pim sides as pim squrims

For charlie he was waiting to see what happens (even though he knows what's about to happen)

And armzo start tickling his sides as pim thrashes and squirm

as the restraining arms were doing their best as pim was trying to kick too but the hands was doing the good job

Charlie was caught off guard by the unexpected moment that was happening, charlie now think it funny. Pim was fighting to get away from Armzo but.

Armzo was strong to really pin someone and it was a show to upon on the six armed critter tickling the frog/type pink critter.

Charlie was thinking about helping pim but don't want to since this man is unpredictable at any moment so he stand there watching the sight unfold.

Armzo was really digging his fingers into his armpits and sides and pim was shaking his head and try to squirm a little while laughing, he was actual having a good time

Charlie was thinking about joining it as armzo asked him if he want to join like armzo read his mind, charlie joined the tickling massacre happen on pim.

as armzo was only tickling pim armpits and charlie was doing tickly pinches and Scribbles on his belly and sides maybe even his under ribs.

charlie was doing this for fun and for armzo since he was evilly smiling now, for doing ruthless tickling on the small pink little man with the help big yellow man while tickling him

Pim was in tears now from the hard and soft tickles were tickling his torso as his loud bubbly belly laughter left out his body and it was going for another minute until pim started to cough as armzo and charlie stop.

Pim was breathing in air while coughing as was sit up by the beloved stranger armzo was smiling and help pim up since pim help him cheer up by wrecking pim

As charlie and pim go back to the charity as pim was tease by charlie as he was wiggling his fingers to pim as pim blush

A new approach could fractionate crude oil using much less energy

Separating crude oil into products such as gasoline, diesel, and heating oil is an energy-intensive process that accounts for about 6 percent of the world’s CO2 emissions. Most of that energy goes into the heat needed to separate the components by their boiling point.

In an advance that could dramatically reduce the amount of energy needed for crude oil fractionation, MIT engineers have developed a membrane that filters the components of crude oil by their molecular size.

“This is a whole new way of envisioning a separation process. Instead of boiling mixtures to purify them, why not separate components based on shape and size? The key innovation is that the filters we developed can separate very small molecules at an atomistic length scale,” says Zachary P. Smith, an associate professor of chemical engineering at MIT and the senior author of the new study.

The new filtration membrane can efficiently separate heavy and light components from oil, and it is resistant to the swelling that tends to occur with other types of oil separation membranes. The membrane is a thin film that can be manufactured using a technique that is already widely used in industrial processes, potentially allowing it to be scaled up for widespread use.

Taehoon Lee, a former MIT postdoc who is now an assistant professor at Sungkyunkwan University in South Korea, is the lead author of the paper, which appears today in Science.

Oil fractionation

Conventional heat-driven processes for fractionating crude oil make up about 1 percent of global energy use, and it has been estimated that using membranes for crude oil separation could reduce the amount of energy needed by about 90 percent. For this to succeed, a separation membrane needs to allow hydrocarbons to pass through quickly, and to selectively filter compounds of different sizes.

Until now, most efforts to develop a filtration membrane for hydrocarbons have focused on polymers of intrinsic microporosity (PIMs), including one known as PIM-1. Although this porous material allows the fast transport of hydrocarbons, it tends to excessively absorb some of the organic compounds as they pass through the membrane, leading the film to swell, which impairs its size-sieving ability.

To come up with a better alternative, the MIT team decided to try modifying polymers that are used for reverse osmosis water desalination. Since their adoption in the 1970s, reverse osmosis membranes have reduced the energy consumption of desalination by about 90 percent — a remarkable industrial success story.

The most commonly used membrane for water desalination is a polyamide that is manufactured using a method known as interfacial polymerization. During this process, a thin polymer film forms at the interface between water and an organic solvent such as hexane. Water and hexane do not normally mix, but at the interface between them, a small amount of the compounds dissolved in them can react with each other.

In this case, a hydrophilic monomer called MPD, which is dissolved in water, reacts with a hydrophobic monomer called TMC, which is dissolved in hexane. The two monomers are joined together by a connection known as an amide bond, forming a polyamide thin film (named MPD-TMC) at the water-hexane interface.

While highly effective for water desalination, MPD-TMC doesn’t have the right pore sizes and swelling resistance that would allow it to separate hydrocarbons.

To adapt the material to separate the hydrocarbons found in crude oil, the researchers first modified the film by changing the bond that connects the monomers from an amide bond to an imine bond. This bond is more rigid and hydrophobic, which allows hydrocarbons to quickly move through the membrane without causing noticeable swelling of the film compared to the polyamide counterpart.

“The polyimine material has porosity that forms at the interface, and because of the cross-linking chemistry that we have added in, you now have something that doesn’t swell,” Smith says. “You make it in the oil phase, react it at the water interface, and with the crosslinks, it’s now immobilized. And so those pores, even when they’re exposed to hydrocarbons, no longer swell like other materials.”

The researchers also introduced a monomer called triptycene. This shape-persistent, molecularly selective molecule further helps the resultant polyimines to form pores that are the right size for hydrocarbons to fit through.

This approach represents “an important step toward reducing industrial energy consumption,” says Andrew Livingston, a professor of chemical engineering at Queen Mary University of London, who was not involved in the study.

“This work takes the workhorse technology of the membrane desalination industry, interfacial polymerization, and creates a new way to apply it to organic systems such as hydrocarbon feedstocks, which currently consume large chunks of global energy,” Livingston says. “The imaginative approach using an interfacial catalyst coupled to hydrophobic monomers leads to membranes with high permeance and excellent selectivity, and the work shows how these can be used in relevant separations.”

Efficient separation

When the researchers used the new membrane to filter a mixture of toluene and triisopropylbenzene (TIPB) as a benchmark for evaluating separation performance, it was able to achieve a concentration of toluene 20 times greater than its concentration in the original mixture. They also tested the membrane with an industrially relevant mixture consisting of naphtha, kerosene, and diesel, and found that it could efficiently separate the heavier and lighter compounds by their molecular size.

If adapted for industrial use, a series of these filters could be used to generate a higher concentration of the desired products at each step, the researchers say.

“You can imagine that with a membrane like this, you could have an initial stage that replaces a crude oil fractionation column. You could partition heavy and light molecules and then you could use different membranes in a cascade to purify complex mixtures to isolate the chemicals that you need,” Smith says.

Interfacial polymerization is already widely used to create membranes for water desalination, and the researchers believe it should be possible to adapt those processes to mass produce the films they designed in this study.

“The main advantage of interfacial polymerization is it’s already a well-established method to prepare membranes for water purification, so you can imagine just adopting these chemistries into existing scale of manufacturing lines,” Lee says.

The research was funded, in part, by ExxonMobil through the MIT Energy Initiative.
