No it doesn't.
Being hurt does not help anyone. It can actively make you be less able to help. One does not need to be hurt in order to believe things to be wrong or right.
This is not positivity. "Being sensitive is not a moral flaw" =/= "the world needs you to be in pain".

If your worldview allows the existence and validity of doubles, it does allow the same for factkin.
(This post is pro doubles and factkin)

Being pro cisharmful and pro-full-transharmful-transition requires you to be fine with anti-cisharmfuls and those who are anti-full-transharmful-transition, actually.
You believe we're harmful, yeah?
And you're *pro harm*, yeah?
Aren't we Just Living Our Life in your opinion? Does it not matter if that impacts how others live theirs?
Or does it, but only if what it impacts is their right to nonconsensually impact the life of others?
_
Don't touch this post if you are not pro-transharmful and pro-pseudoharmful, and/or believe that race/ability/age transition is transharmful transition.

another thing that bourdieu says that I feel very deeply is that if you investigate any social phenomena long enough you arrive at the state. I didn’t start in academia particularly interested in the state as an object of study but it has ended up being completely unavoidable

Those who talk about wishing they went to public school are talking about wishing they weren’t abused and isolated by their parents.
Childhood&adolescence socialization does not only exist in school. Your parents have purposefully isolated you from your peers not just by homeschooling you.
Protection from abuse must exist for every situation, and school would not have saved you from abuse. If it did, infinitely less of those who go/went to public school would be/have been also abused by their parents — as well as by their teachers (and other staff) and other students.
Systems of power are the problem, including, at the core, that of the family — and school is a system of power too.
And. There. Are. Always. Those. Who are too disabled for public school.

Lucifer: While we’re here and having a nice meal at this very fancy restaurant, please order something appropriate.
*Mammon, Levi & MC all stare at Lucifer in “confused autistic with a very specific safe food”.*
Lucifer…..
*five minutes of awkward silence as the three keep staring at Lucifer*
Lucifer: For the love of Diavolo order whatever you want!
*Mammon, Levi & MC all order chicken tenders and fries :D*
Once again formatted like your post love you ro  ♡
I just know Lucifer is tired of them ordering the same thing at every restaurant jsksjsksj
Tho now I wonder if the devildom has it’s own version of chicken tenders ‘n fries- like deep fried bat wings ‘n chips or something-

the people aren't ready to hear this but angelique arbitrarily picking quentin to decide to be in love with out of nowhere, bewitching roger into marriage and then absolutely not wanting him to touch her, and constantly pursuing men's (chiefly barn's) attention only when it's clear he doesn't want her, is soooo comp het of her.
#good luck babe!#the one exception i can think of where she genuinely seems to enjoy physical affection with men is when she's#enthralled joe. and joe is more like a really clingy; very pretty jelly donut in that situation.#in leviathans she's more or less happy with sky who does seem to want her.#but i would strongly argue that what angelique *wants* is the social position of a Wife —#as opposed to being interested in any given man himself.#and there's something really fascinating about the difference between her and julia there; even though ang possesses way more power#(and is theoretically not bound by human gendered/sexual structures of power)#julia found her position (and significant influence!) via her own intellect and career; her want for barnabas is tremendously personal —#not socioeconomic; not needing to be Established in the world as a wife to move through it or find meaning.#(and i realize i'm going against most barnjules shippers here but i do think julia would prefer to be known as Dr. Hoffman infinitely more#than becoming yet another anonymous Mrs. Collins)#but angelique is so different. for her (over and over and over again) finding her place in the human world as a woman means#becoming someone's Wife. whether or not she wants them! and i'd argue she usually doesn't. not like she thinks she does.#and this is sort of only a footnote; but even the ploy to get roger — enrolling as a student in the college in rockport —#is only a Very Temporary ruse to get into position as Mrs. Collins. academic knowledge like julia's; or establishing herself#institutionally doesn't even seem to make a blip on her radar.#feminine identity for ang is Only contained absolutely in the marriage contract#— which the show is pretty explicitly; emphatically against!#julia is the hero to root for (narratively and romantically) and ang the unquestioned antagonist (most of the time)#and her marriage plots are shown as devious and unwanted; even when they're not to the level of brainwashing and drugging roger.#but. man. fascinating. just Fascinating the way ang interacts with sex and gender.#phenomenal cosmic powers ... itty bitty gender space.

Alek scowled. His allies in Istanbul had never kept secrets from him. If only he could have stayed there somehow. According to the newspapers, the rebels had control of the capital now, and the rest of the Ottoman Empire was falling under their sway. He would have been respected there, useful, instead of a waste of hydrogen.
Let's imagine for a moment that Alek had stayed. Do we think he would have been shipped off to New York with Lilit for being annoying. Do we think maybe he would have stopped that from happening by standing up for her. Would they have used him for propaganda the same way Tesla and the Darwinists used him.

No I DON'T. I am a manual artist. The only way I could actually start making art was stopping doing this. Congrats to you if you do but you are not the only fucking artist in the world, the kind of artist you are is not the only fucking kind of artist in the world, and the way you make art is not the only fucking valid way to make art. I still cannot do some of my drawing/painting ideas that I technically could have but it would eat all my fucking human strength, I still have wips lying for months in my wip folder on some of which I work by a bit and with some of which I'm not sure I'll ever get back to; but the best that I make paintings is when I just sit down and sketch something in a few minutes and then paint it in a couple of hours actively keeping myself from fixing mistakes because if I'll start I'll never end (many cases where I'd start, and then just undo-button all the way back to what I started from). With those ideas that I still cannot do, I hope that I'll get to the point where I can make them this way, because I Am progressing. I used to try to do art (not just visual) the way that you describe. Boy was it bad for me. Genuine congratulations to you that it is good for you. That does not mean that all those for whom it isn't should be barred from making art.
....and also just. How do you all fucking do that "but what's the point of bringing the idea in your head into the world outside of it if you don't want to suffer while doing it". Sometimes someone just fucking wants to see the pic in their head outside of their head.
.....Double also. There are lots of classic artist shitposts exactly about that. This is not me saying "they should all just use AI", *I don't use AI*, this is me saying that it's not something fucking new and alien???
Also number three, I know at least one manual artist who tried to use AI and ultimately didn't because it was too complicated for that person's usage. :)
art takes so long and its so tiring but if i dont make art for the rest of my life ill die

and like sidenote if i can make a post with a target audience of zero. i feel like fhsy was to d20 what aa3 was to ace attorney but aa3 pulled it off better for reasons i cannot explain
#it is. the amatonormativity#^ guy who was REALLY pissed about the sandra lynn stuff#like yknow that bit in the first ep where brennan is like 'oh this drama is going down' and so like the pcs investigate it#probs bcos they think itll like kick off their new quest#and then it turns out to be like. petty romantic drama.#thats kind of a microcosm of the entire season for me#not to say there werent parts i liked (looks at the picture of baron i printed out and hung on my wall)#(and most of the leviathan stuff was brilliant and ayda is a role model for me)#but its all so tied up in the rest of that shit that i dont rlly wanna rewatch it the way ive rewatched fy 6+ times#likening this to aa3 bcos of the rlly noticeable uptick in romantic content in it compared to the rest of the trilogy#like prior to that all that rlly comes to mind is like. 2-3 and pearl's shipping shenanigans and larry existing#but in aa3 both mia and phoenix have past lovers who play big parts#theres a married couple theres tigre and viola (who sidenote i ENTIRELY missed as romantic my first playthru. i am dense)#there's the business with fawles#like it felt like romance played a large part in every case in aa3#where even when it came up in 1 + 2 it was usually ancillary (2-3 excepted but like. ppl regard that case as a fluke in most regards)#you COULD argue that maggey and adrian also inject some romantic presence in the story#but idk it just doesnt feel as central or prevalent as in aa3#like i saw a post abt adrian and celeste being cousins in the aa anime being not just the sailor moon 'best cousins' thing#but like. reinforcing the themes of familiar devotion as aa2's core. and that was rlly foundational to my understanding of the game#even tho its a change that comes from an adaptation#whereas you Couldnt make that change in aa3 without it changing A Lot of shit#where was i going with this. shrug.#the zelda and tracker relationship drama was entirely manufactured as punishing the pcs for not centering npcs#whose relationship issues were ancillary to the overarching plot they were focused on and which hadnt rlly been brought up beforehand#'why didnt gorgug call zelda :/' do u want zac to pause the kalina mystery to roleplay good relationship communication with the dm??#like its one thing looking at sy as a narrative but looking at it as a ttrpg campaign with limited time and a need to split character focus#i dont see what it did for the story besides give gorgug something to angst abt. didnt rlly feel like there was character growth or an arc#sigh. MANDATORY DISCLAIMER its been at least a year since i watched sy and longer before that since ive played aa3#but at the time my feelings were strong and have only calcified. romance as a theme in something not generally abt romance

listen to trans women even includes the ones u disagree with, lmao
trust me, i do! if you read the whole post, including all of my replies you would know that i stated that if it became more of an issue, i would remove the question.
we have our own opinions on what is transphobic and thats ok! its healthy, even, to have different opinions with those in your community. this survey exists so i can learn the needs of the trans and nonbinary community.
i do not, however, feel that the trans woman in question brought it up in a mature or productive way. there is a place at the end of the survey for input, and i directed them to my dms to further discuss this. instead they chose to insult me and my survey. which, again, was not a mature or productive approach.
if anyone else has any concerns or issues please dm me.

"Our meeting is providence," he said. "I swear I can help you, Nene."
Inexplicably, Lilit burst into laughter. Zaven let out a low chuckle, and the creature joined in.
"What a charmer," Lilit said. "He's adopted you now, Nene."
Alek realized his mistake. Nene wasn't a name at all, but simply a word for "grandmother", like "oma" in German.
"I'm sorry my Armenian is deficient, madam."
The old woman smiled. "Not to worry. At my age, one can never have too many grandchildren. Even if some of them are idiots."
I think this whole conversation (perhaps even the whole chapter) exemplifies how most people feel about Alek after they first meet him. Almost every introduction with Alek follows his Four-Step Plan for Getting People to be Fond of You:
1. Initially come off as stuck-up and out of touch
2. Stick your foot in your mouth and say something you really shouldn't
3. Immediately realize that was a mistake and course correct (sometimes with an apology, always with changed behavior)
4. Say something so earnest that people can't help but be endeared to you
Now if he could learn to optimize and cut out the first three steps and just skip to the earnest part, things could go much smoother for him.

"Cringe culture is dead" people when someone actually does things they consider cringe without parading that Yes They Know It's Cringe
Do Not blackout this post, I said what I fucking said, this is not just about the part prior to 'without'
Yea Sure U Can be Cringe but only if you paste a little (or preferably very very big) "cringe culture is dead" / "I am cringe but I am free" / etc on it
That is its function
