How do you recognize what really makes you happy?
Understanding what truly brings you happiness is a deeply personal journey, one that requires introspection, exploration, and a willingness to delve into the depths of your own emotions and experiences. It's a journey that is unique to each individual, shaped by your values, passions, and life experiences. In this exploration, you'll uncover not only what brings you joy in the moment but also what provides a sense of fulfilment and purpose in the long term. So, let's embark on this journey together, with a human touch, to discover what makes you truly happy.
Part 1: The Power of Self-Reflection
1.1 Embracing Your Emotions
Recognizing what makes you happy begins with an honest exploration of your emotions. Take time to acknowledge and embrace the full spectrum of your feelings – both positive and negative. Our emotions serve as valuable indicators, offering insights into what resonates with us and what doesn't. Notice moments of joy, contentment, and satisfaction, as well as those of frustration, disappointment, and boredom. Each emotion carries valuable information about your preferences, desires, and needs.
1.2 Reflecting on Past Experiences
Reflecting on past experiences can provide valuable clues about what truly brings you happiness. Think back to moments in your life when you felt most alive, fulfilled, and content. What activities were you engaged in? Who were you with? What were the circumstances surrounding those experiences? Conversely, consider times when you felt unhappy, dissatisfied, or unfulfilled. What aspects of those situations contributed to your negative emotions? Reflecting on both positive and negative experiences can help you identify patterns, preferences, and priorities.
1.3 Examining Your Values and Beliefs
Your values and beliefs play a significant role in shaping your happiness. Take time to examine what matters most to you in life – whether it's family, relationships, career, personal growth, community, or something else entirely. Consider how your values influence your choices, actions, and goals. Are you living in alignment with your values, or do you feel disconnected from them? Identifying your core values can provide clarity and guidance as you navigate the complexities of life and pursue happiness on your terms.
Part 2: Exploring Your Passions and Interests
2.1 Engaging in Curiosity
Curiosity is the gateway to discovering what truly brings you happiness. Approach life with an open mind and a sense of wonder, eager to explore new experiences and opportunities. Allow yourself to be curious about different hobbies, interests, and activities that pique your interest. Whether it's art, music, sports, cooking, gardening, or something else entirely, follow your curiosity and see where it leads you. Embrace the joy of learning and discovery as you explore new passions and interests.
2.2 Trying New Things
Don't be afraid to step outside of your comfort zone and try new things. Growth and fulfilment often lie beyond the boundaries of familiarity, waiting to be discovered through new experiences and challenges. Be open to experimenting with activities and pursuits that you've never considered before. Attend workshops, classes, or events related to your interests. Join clubs or groups where you can connect with like-minded individuals who share your passions. By stepping into the unknown, you may uncover hidden talents, forge new connections, and ignite a sense of passion and purpose.
2.3 Listening to Your Inner Voice
As you explore your passions and interests, listen closely to your inner voice – the voice of intuition and authenticity that guides you towards what truly resonates with your soul. Pay attention to the activities and experiences that evoke a sense of excitement, enthusiasm, and flow. These are often indicators that you're aligned with your true desires and passions. Trust your instincts and intuition as you navigate your journey towards happiness. Your inner voice knows what's best for you, even when the path ahead may seem uncertain.
Part 3: Cultivating Meaningful Connections
3.1 Nurturing Relationships
Human connection is essential for happiness and well-being. Take time to nurture your relationships with friends, family, and loved ones. Invest in meaningful connections that bring joy, support, and companionship into your life. Share laughter, tears, and experiences with those who uplift and inspire you. Cultivate a sense of belonging and connection by being present, attentive, and compassionate in your interactions. Remember that relationships thrive on mutual respect, trust, and communication. Prioritize quality time with loved ones, and cherish the moments you share together.
3.2 Building Community
In addition to personal relationships, building community can also contribute to your happiness and sense of belonging. Seek out groups, clubs, or organizations that align with your interests and values. Whether it's a book club, a volunteer group, a sports team, or a spiritual community, find opportunities to connect with others who share your passions and aspirations. Engage in meaningful conversations, collaborate on projects, and support one another in pursuit of common goals. Building community fosters a sense of connection, solidarity, and purpose that enriches your life and enhances your well-being.
3.3 Practicing Empathy and Compassion
Empathy and compassion are essential qualities for fostering meaningful connections and enhancing happiness. Take time to cultivate empathy – the ability to understand and share the feelings of others. Listen actively, offer support, and show kindness and understanding towards those around you. Practice compassion – the willingness to alleviate the suffering of others – through acts of generosity, empathy, and service. By extending empathy and compassion to others, you not only strengthen your relationships but also experience a deep sense of fulfilment and connection with the world around you.
Part 4: Embracing Authenticity and Self-Expression
4.1 Honoring Your Authentic Self
Authenticity lies at the heart of happiness. Embrace who you are – your strengths, weaknesses, quirks, and imperfections – with unapologetic self-acceptance and love. Honor your values, beliefs, and desires, even if they differ from societal norms or expectations. Live authentically by aligning your actions with your true self, rather than conforming to external pressures or judgments. When you live authentically, you cultivate a deep sense of inner peace, confidence, and fulfilment that radiates outward into every aspect of your life.
4.2 Expressing Yourself Creatively
Creativity is a powerful outlet for self-expression and self-discovery. Find ways to express yourself creatively through art, music, writing, dance, or any other medium that speaks to your soul. Allow yourself to explore your imagination, experiment with new ideas, and express your innermost thoughts and emotions. Creativity has the power to nourish your spirit, unleash your creativity, and cultivate a sense of joy and fulfilment that transcends words. Embrace the creative process as a journey of self-discovery and self-expression, where every brushstroke, note, or word carries the essence of your unique voice and vision.
4.3 Living with Purpose and Meaning
Living with purpose and meaning is the ultimate pursuit of happiness. Find meaning in your life by aligning your actions with your values, passions, and aspirations. Ask yourself what truly matters to you and how you can contribute to the greater good of humanity and the world. Discover your unique gifts, talents, and strengths, and use them to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Whether it's through your career, relationships, creative pursuits, or volunteer work, find ways to live with purpose and meaning every day. When you live with purpose, you tap into a deep reservoir of fulfilment and satisfaction that transcends the fleeting pleasures of momentary happiness.
Part 5: Practicing Gratitude and Mindfulness
5.1 Cultivating Gratitude
Gratitude is a powerful practice that can transform your perspective and enhance your happiness. Take time each day to cultivate gratitude for the blessings and abundance in your life. Notice the simple pleasures, moments of beauty, and acts of kindness that surround you each day. Keep a gratitude journal where you can write down three things you're grateful for each day. By focusing on the positive aspects of your life, you shift your attention away from negativity and scarcity towards abundance and appreciation. Cultivating gratitude opens your heart to the richness of life and invites more joy, peace, and contentment into your life.
5.2 Practicing Mindfulness
Mindfulness is the practice of being present in the moment with non-judgmental awareness. Incorporate mindfulness into your daily life by pausing to observe your thoughts, emotions, and sensations without attachment or resistance. Engage in mindfulness meditation, deep breathing exercises, or mindful movement practices such as yoga or tai chi. By cultivating mindfulness, you cultivate a sense of inner calm, clarity, and peace that transcends the fluctuations of external circumstances. Mindfulness allows you to savour the richness of each moment, deepen your connection with yourself and others, and cultivate a profound sense of happiness and well-being that emanates from within.
Conclusion: Your Unique Path to Happiness
In conclusion, discovering what truly makes you happy is a journey of self-discovery, growth, and transformation. It's a journey that requires courage, curiosity, and compassion as you explore the depths of your own being and embrace the fullness of who you are. By engaging in self-reflection, exploring your passions, nurturing meaningful connections, embracing authenticity, and practicing gratitude and mindfulness, you can unlock the door to a life filled with joy, fulfilment, and purpose. Remember that happiness is not a destination to be reached but a way of being in the world – a journey of becoming the best version of yourself. Embrace your unique path to happiness with an open heart and a willingness to embrace the beauty and wonder of life in all its forms.

The Influence of Intrinsic Motivation
Tumblr media
Motivation is the force that drives us forward in life as we work toward our objectives. Intrinsic motivation stands out among the several forms of motivation as a powerful internal force that propels us to act out of sheer happiness and personal fulfillment. However, what precisely is intrinsic motivation, and how does it affect our actions and output? Enter the realm of intrinsic motivation, which is intriguing.
A Deep Dive into Intrinsic Motivation
Tumblr media
A Deep Dive Into Intrinsic Motivation Learning What Intrinsic Motivation Means Intrinsic motivation is the desire to act for its own sake instead of depending on incentives or results from other sources. It's about making the trip as enjoyable as the goal by finding pleasure and satisfaction. Each person's drive is distinctive and intensely personal. The flame sparks our curiosity when we engage in an activity we like or take on a difficult assignment. Intrinsic Motivation: The Psychology Intrinsic motivation is intimately related to our physiological and psychological requirements from a psychological standpoint. It motivates us to explore, learn, and develop to satiate our inherent curiosity and want for mastery. Intrinsic motivation's effects on behavior have long been investigated by psychologists, who have shown that it may enhance well-being, learning, and performance. Our inner motivation propels us to stretch beyond our comfort zones and realize our full potential. The Study of Intrinsic Motivation in Neuroscience The vital role intrinsic motivation plays in human behavior is further shown by neuroscientific research that it stimulates certain brain regions linked to decision-making and reward processing. When genuinely driven, our brains produce dopamine, a chemical linked to pleasure and reward. This increases the enjoyment of the action and reinforces the behavior, increasing our propensity to repeat it in the future.
Extrinsic Motivation: Definition and a Comparison of Intrinsic vs. Extrinsic Motivation
In contrast to intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation is fueled by outside influences like incentives, praise, or the desire to avoid punishment. The conduct is driven by the reward or expected result. For instance, a student could work hard in class to get excellent marks, while a worker would work extra hours to receive a bonus. Extrinsic motivation, although useful in certain circumstances, often requires the existence of an outside reward or punishment and may not result in long-term behavior change. What Makes Intrinsic and Extrinsic Motivation Differ? Although both motivations have the power to affect behavior, their origins, and effects are different. Extrinsic motivation is externally motivated and often linked to short-term objectives, but intrinsic motivation originates from inside and promotes long-term fulfillment and progress. For instance, someone with intrinsic motivation may exercise just because they like it, but someone with extrinsic motivation may exercise to lose weight. Although these are legitimate motivational strategies, they emanate from distinct places and have different potential effects. Intrinsic and Extrinsic Motivation Concerning Each Other It's interesting to note that intrinsic and extrinsic drives are not antagonistic. They are capable of complicated coexistence and interaction. For instance, if a job is externally imposed yet coincides with a person's interests and beliefs, it might become intrinsically motivating. Similar to how external incentives or penalties may affect internally driven behaviors. We may use the strength of both forms of motivation to attain our objectives if we can grasp how they interact.
Intrinsic Motivation: The Three Types
Tumblr media
Intrinsic Motivation: The Three Types Intrinsic Motivation for Knowledge, Type 1 This kind comprises a drive to discover and comprehend new ideas. It serves as the impetus for our pursuit of knowledge and intellectual development. When we're driven by curiosity, we look for answers, ponder issues, and try to comprehend the universe. Scientists, researchers, and lifelong learners inspired by the thrill of discovery and the gratification of understanding challenging concepts exhibit this kind of intrinsic motivation. Type 2: Intrinsic Motivation for Success This category relates to the motivation to overcome obstacles and accomplish objectives. Our ambition and yearning for self-actualization are fueled by it. When driven by a sense of success, we establish high standards for ourselves and put in significant effort to meet them. We love overcoming challenges and achieving our objectives and are proud of our accomplishments. Athletes, business owners, and high achievers motivated by the thrill of success and the gratification of seeing their hard work pay off often exhibit this kind of intrinsic motivation. Intrinsic Motivation for Stimulation, Type 3 This kind involves seeking out exciting activities that satisfy the senses or the soul, such as taking up a hobby or listening to music. When driven by stimulation, we look for enjoyable, thrilling, or emotionally satisfying things to engage in. We participate in these things more for the pure satisfaction they provide than for any reward or result from other sources. Artists, musicians, and adventurers motivated by the delight of creating, expressing, or experiencing something new and exciting exhibit this intrinsic motivation.
Illustrations of Intrinsic Motivation in Daily Life
Educational Intrinsic Motivation A student's sincere interest in a topic may represent intrinsic motivation in the educational setting, encouraging them to study to get good results and the sheer pleasure of learning. Due to their inherent desire to comprehend and learn, they can spend hours reading about a subject, investigating many viewpoints, and participating in intelligent debates. A lifetime love of learning may result from this motivation, as can improved comprehension and memory. The Workplace and Intrinsic Motivation An organically driven individual could take on a difficult job because they find it personally meaningful and enjoyable rather than because a promotion is promised. They could find joy in coming up with fresh ideas, working in a team, or resolving challenging issues. This internal motivation may result in better productivity, a more favorable work atmosphere, and higher job satisfaction. In sports and fitness, Intrinsic Motivation Intrinsic motivation in sports and fitness may take many forms, including love of the activity or gratification from achieving higher levels of fitness and health. Athletes may put in a lot of effort outside of contests because they like the challenge of pushing themselves and honing their abilities. Similarly, someone could stick to a regular workout regimen for aesthetic reasons and because they want to feel fit and healthy.
Intrinsic Motivation's Effect on Human Performance
Creativity and Intrinsic Motivation According to research, creativity may be increased through intrinsic motivation. We are more prone to look outside the box and develop creative solutions when participating in an activity out of curiosity. This is so because inherent drive promotes risk-taking, investigation, and interest, all essential components of creativity. The Importance of Intrinsic Motivation for Personal Growth It's essential to have an innate drive. It promotes self-analysis, goal-setting, and the pursuit of personal development, which raises one's self-esteem and increases life's happiness. We are more inclined to take the initiative to master new skills, overcome obstacles, and pursue personal greatness when genuinely driven. The Impact of Intrinsic Motivation on Job Satisfaction Higher job satisfaction might result from intrinsic motivation at work. Employees are more likely to be engaged, productive, and content with their employment if they feel their work to be intrinsically gratifying. They are more likely to find purpose and fulfillment in their work, which results in increased job satisfaction and lower turnover rates.
What Intrinsic Motivation Can Do For You
Tumblr media
What Intrinsic Motivation Can Do For You Intrinsic Motivation to Boost Productivity Productivity may be dramatically increased by intrinsic motivation. We may get more involved in the activity since intrinsic motivation develops a feeling of ownership and commitment. Intrinsic Motivation and Better Mental Health Improved mental health may also result from intrinsic motivation. Our mood, stress levels, and general well-being may all be enhanced by doing intrinsically enjoyable things. Participating in these activities gives us pleasure and success, which may boost our self-esteem and encourage good mental health. Life Satisfaction and Intrinsic Motivation: A Relationship According to studies, life happiness and intrinsic motivation go hand in hand. Our feeling of fulfillment and pleasure may be increased by engaging in activities that we find intrinsically satisfying, which will increase our life satisfaction. This is so because intrinsic motivation fits with our beliefs and interests, which increases our likelihood of feeling happy and content with our life.
Making Intrinsic Motivation Grow
Increasing Intrinsic Motivation: Strategies Fostering a growth mindset, granting liberty, and matching work with personal interests and beliefs are all part of developing intrinsic motivation. It involves establishing a setting that fosters curiosity and the drive for mastery. For instance, instructors may raise students' intrinsic motivation by making learning enjoyable and relevant, and companies can increase workers' intrinsic motivation by giving them work that matters and chances for professional advancement. Growth Mindset's Contribution to Promoting Intrinsic Motivation Intrinsic motivation may be cultivated by having a growth mindset, which is the conviction that skills and intellect can be acquired via work and education. It promotes pursuing difficulties and seeing setbacks as chances for improvement. We're more likely to be organically driven to study and succeed when we can develop and grow. Overcoming Negative Consequences: The Right Combination of Reward and Punishment While incentives and sanctions may impact behavior, they should be used carefully to prevent undercutting intrinsic drive. Maintaining and improving inherent motivation depends on finding the proper balance. For instance, although incentives might spur conduct in the near term if they replace intrinsic motivation as the primary driver of behavior, they can also undermine it. Similar to how rewards may discourage bad conduct, punishments can also instill a fear of failure that undermines intrinsic drive.
Self-Determination and Intrinsic Motivation Theory
Acquiring knowledge of the self-determination theory A psychological paradigm called self-determination theory (SDT) strongly emphasizes intrinsic motivation's function in self-control and psychological health. It contends that inherent reason is promoted by meeting our fundamental psychological demands for autonomy, competence, and relatedness. The Relationship Between Self-Determination vs. Intrinsic Motivation Self-determination and intrinsic motivation go hand in hand. Our activities are more likely to be genuinely driven when they are self-determined, which promotes more engagement and happiness. For instance, we act out of innate drive and self-determination when participating in an activity because we find it rewarding and pleasurable.
A Parent's Guide to Children's Intrinsic Motivation
Promoting Children's Intrinsic Motivation Parents can foster intrinsic motivation in their children by giving them agency, encouraging curiosity, and providing a supportive environment. This means allowing children to make choices, explore and learn, and provide positive feedback that focuses on effort and improvement rather than just results. The Role of Intrinsic Motivation in Children's Education Intrinsic motivation can play a significant role in children's education. When children are intrinsically motivated, they are more likely to engage in learning, show greater interest in schoolwork, and perform better academically. They are also more likely to enjoy the process of learning and to continue learning outside of school.
Conclusion
Intrinsic motivation is a powerful force that can drive personal growth, enhance performance, and contribute to overall life satisfaction. Understanding and harnessing this internal drive can unlock our full potential and achieve our goals. Whether in education, work, or personal pursuits, intrinsic motivation can unlock our true potential. Read the full article

Tumblr media Tumblr media
Self-Confidence Come along as we explore the world of confidence and set sail for a voyage of personal development. Learn to cultivate, sustain, and direct self-confidence to boost your well-being and opportunities. Confidence is the unifying denominator of all success tales, spectacular moments, and individual victories. The understated travel partner is the motor that drives us to greater heights. But what, exactly, is confidence? How can we best foster its importance to our health and happiness? This book will help you overcome your insecurities and keep your head held high.
Understanding Self-confidence
In your own words, how would you characterize self-confidence? Self-assurance is more than just platitude; it permeates our very beings. Faith is taking the necessary steps forward after realizing we have what it takes to succeed. It's not about being cocky or dismissive of others' thoughts but about being confident in one's talents and acting accordingly.
Self-confidence and Success
Having faith in oneself is crucial when working on personal development. It encourages us to go further, to take bold risks, and to pursue our aspirations. Inspiration is the driving force behind personal growth and development. Sometimes, having faith in ourselves is all between us and stagnation.
Self-confidence and Emotional Health
The state of one's mind is directly related to how confident one feels about oneself. The benefits include an improved disposition and less need for stress relief. A healthy dosage of confidence is required for it. A lack of self-confidence can lead to increased anxiety, sadness, and a poor sense of one's worth.
Tumblr media
Self-Confidence
The Importance of Confidence
Belief in one's abilities is crucial for reaching one's goals. It allows us to take on difficulties squarely, to take action with conviction, and to keep going even when everything seems lost. Belief in one's ability to persevere in the face of hardship and realize one's dreams often makes the difference between the outcomes. Self-confidence and Emotional Stability People that are emotionally well have confidence in themselves. They know who they are, what it is good at, and what they might improve upon, yet they still manage to see the sunny side of life. Having confidence in oneself is beneficial to one's mental health. Self-confidence and Contentment Faith in oneself may significantly affect how content we are with our life. When we have faith in ourselves, we are more inclined to pursue our passions, cultivate meaningful connections, and realize our aspirations. Confidence is often the key to finding more fulfillment in life.
Building self-confidence
Building confidence is an ongoing endeavor. It requires keeping a positive outlook, acknowledging your abilities, and striving for improvement. Please consider the following advice while planning your trip: Positive Self-Talk One's sense of self-worth can benefit significantly from encouragement and positive self-talk. The objective is to counteract negative thoughts with encouraging words. Don't dwell on your shortcomings; take stock of your successes. Changing your mindset may profoundly affect your self-esteem and quality of life. Acknowledging Achievements It's essential to take a breather and appreciate whatever progress you've made, no matter how small. This recognition might spur you on to explore uncharted territory. It's a constant reminder of your skills and a powerful symbol of your strength and commitment.
Setting Realistic Goals
Confidence increases when you have set and achieved reasonable objectives. Start easy and work up to the hard stuff in your fantasies. Your self-assurance and forward drive will increase with each victory. Finding your rhythm and celebrating the little wins along the road is crucial. Engaging in Enjoyable Activities Feeling good about yourself is a side effect of doing things you like. Such initiatives boost your self-esteem by providing a sense of purpose and mastery. Hobbies are a great way to unwind and feel better about yourself. Seeking Professional Help If your low self-esteem affects your health or everyday functioning, you should talk to a therapist or mental health expert. They provide folks with the tools to boost their confidence and emotional health. Don't be afraid to seek assistance; doing so demonstrates strength, not weakness.
Confidence in Practice
Someone confident in themselves will try new things even though they may fail. They believe in their abilities and take chances to reach their objectives. They have thick skin and can take criticism well. They are resilient and quick to learn from their mistakes.
Tumblr media
Confidence In Leadership Confidence in Leadership There are several outward signs of confidence in the real world. Two good examples of this are taking the lead on a project or speaking out in a meeting. It's about having the courage to express your opinions, no matter how controversial. One of the keys to happiness is learning to appreciate one's individuality. Confidence in Relationships Having faith in oneself may also improve one's connections with others. Secure people tend to be more outgoing, demonstrative, and able to draw firm lines in the sand. Relationships can strengthen and grow as a consequence. If you value your dignity, you should treat others with respect. Overcoming Self-Doubt Stress, bullying, or traumatic situations can all affect self-esteem. Understanding the root of one's poor self-esteem is the first step in reversing it. The essence of this idea is seeing how your past has influenced your present and making the conscious decision to let go of those influences. Improving Self-Worth Improving your low self-esteem requires a shift in how you feel about yourself. Some methods include challenging negative beliefs, treating oneself with kindness, and highlighting one's best qualities. The goal is to substitute encouraging, upbeat thoughts and emotions with those critical of oneself. Overcoming Self-Doubt The path from poor self-esteem to increased confidence is different for everyone. Self-awareness, growth, and a steadfast disposition are essential. It's challenging, but anyone can succeed with the correct mindset and strategy. The three basic elements are believing in your value, realizing your potential, and honoring your individuality.
Asserting Yourself
One of the hallmarks of self-assurance is the capacity to express oneself. The key is being completely forthright about your feelings and wants. Being more assertive is a great way to improve your confidence and make new friends. It requires asserting your own opinions while also recognizing the validity of those of others. The Power of Saying "No" A strong "no" may be a powerful tool. You must learn to say no and put your wants and needs first. Confidence and assertiveness in saying "no" can improve your quality of life. It's a quest for wholeness on mental, bodily, and spiritual planes. Learning from Challenges One way to boost your self-assurance is to view setbacks as educational challenges. Every exam is a chance to learn something new and establish your value. When you have a growth mindset, you see setbacks as learning opportunities. Self-Care and self-confidence Taking care of yourself is vital if you want to reclaim your self-worth. Care for your physical self, emotional self, and mental self. The act of caring for oneself has positive effects on both the mind and the body. The goal is to start by being gentle with oneself.
Building Resilience
Resilience is the capacity to endure adversity and continue functioning normally. One of the hallmarks of a stable society is its inhabitants' resilience in the face of adversity. The point is to improve at facing challenges, growing from setbacks, and maintaining optimism even when things look bleak. Lifelong Learning and self-confidence One of the keys to lasting confidence is a commitment to constant self-improvement. The most incredible way to achieve this goal is to devote oneself to continuous education, improvement, and evaluation. It's about pushing yourself to improve continuously.
Conclusion: The Journey to Self-confidence
Confidence is not simply a feeling; it results from a lifetime of self-reflection, personal growth, and formal education. It's about accepting your weaknesses yet having faith to overcome them. The invisible engine drives us ahead and provides purpose. Building self-assurance is a lifelong process. Positivity, perseverance, and patience are necessary. The benefits, however, are well worth the work involved. Faith is crucial to reach your full potential, accomplishing your objectives, and living a life you love.

Don't miss this important point: Have you ever wondered why some people always seem more comfortable and genuine with themselves? In psychotherapy, authenticity means living in a way that aligns with our personal ideals and values. Authenticity helps us connect with our true selves and build confidence in our decisions. According to studies published after 2020, authenticity can improve mental health and increase life satisfaction. Imagine someone working in a job they dislike due to societal and family pressures. By discovering their true authenticity and following it, they can choose a career path they are genuinely passionate about, leading to greater satisfaction. #Psychology #SelfAwareness #ExistentialAuthenticity #MentalHealth #LifeSatisfaction #Dr_Khatereh_Malekian

⁣ ⁣ DATE NIGHT. Research shows that in-the-moment happiness is highest when people are out with their friends, followed by partners, then children. Why? Well generally when together with our friends, we engage in more sociable and “fun” activities rather than cleaning house or changing diapers. Yet once controlling for the type of activities engaged in, results showed we are just as happy with our partner and kids as we are with friends. The common denominator, engaging in pleasant activities that bring us JOY.⁣ ⁣ While the things we do with our partner might not always be fun, by intentionally engaging in more enjoyable activities and spending more time with our partner (compared to others) increases overall happiness and life satisfaction.⁣ ⁣ Homework: Love the one you’re with and plan a date night with your partner this week to do something fun!⁣ ⁣ ⁣ ⁣ #sundaysidenote #couples #relationships #relationshipresearch #partner #datenight #planadate #100dates #havefun #dosomethingfun #wellbeing #happiness #lifesatisfaction #qualitytime #findjoy #inthemoment #lovetheoneyourewith #bekind #bewell ⁣#beloved ⁣ https://www.instagram.com/p/CV_WH7BpPGT/?utm_medium=tumblr

Menunda Kesenangan Sesaat Membuat Lebih Bahagia, Benarkah?
Semoga bermanfaat ^_^

At the end of each day I like looking back and dissecting the day in full. I explore what went wrong, what worked, what didn’t. Where can I improve, where should I have told someone to shove it, what I should have done differently. I have little regrets in life, and at the end of the day I make sure nothing that happened in that day will lead to regrets, no matter how small. If I can close my eyes in satisfaction then I know it was a good day.     #endoftheday #finalthoughts #selfimprovement #selfquestioning #thinkaboutit #behappy #satisfaction #lifesatisfaction #getreadyfortomorrow #simplelife #simpleliving #alifeleadsimply #ipreview via @preview.app (at Pretoria, South Africa) https://www.instagram.com/p/B_Spbwrl7Ef/?igshid=2s4i9e0tl18a
