Hey everyone.

I've done a set of illustrations for the "Kals" book series that my friend is writing and I wanted to put them all in one place, so here's a mega-post showing off the main cast.

The series is based around characters who have divine elemental powers that they use to battle demons. It's part fantasy, part superhero!

I've decided to redraw some of my old Skylanders OC characters and redesigns, starting with Lancelight. This is primarily from a main AU where Light and Dark aren't rare Elements and are integrated into the Core of Light, which I call "The Ancient Core" instead. Spotlight and Blackout also appear in Spyro's Adventure as the primary dragons.

But for now, This is Lancelight

Origin:

Like many young angels, Lancelight always wanted to join the Paladin guard when he grew up. But his small wings were too weak for flying, causing the other angels to look down on him. Nonetheless, Lancelight trained hard in the ways of Spear combat everyday, determined to prove himself as a Paladin

When an army of trolls sent by the Evil Portal Mistress Kaosandra managed to capture all flying angels using specialized nets in an effort to steal their wings, it was Lancelight and his unique fighting style that caught the trolls off guard, allowing him to rescue them.

The other angels finally recognized his strength as a warrior and finally offered to make him a Paladin... But Lancelight declined. His heroic actions had reached Master Eon, and he was instead invited to join the Skylanders, who defended all of Skylands and not just the Angelic city. Nonetheless the Angels regard Lancelight as one of their strongest warriors to this day

bio: an ancient king far away from the land of Zecopia, said to be a fearsome lord, the lord of light who is said to converse with figures in a hall of darkness during the night. one day they foretold of a prophecy, where someone descended form Rakurai, would rise up and defeat him, he learned the magics of fire and lightning in order to prepare so he wouldn't be defeated very easily by them.

I think a light elementals dancing would be sharp and angular. Since light would fall down without fluidity, it can scatter and refract, and reflect at angle. So I don't think there would be many fluid motions to a light elemental's dance.
