other than physical touch (saving that for love language) karl’s favorite way to show affection is making you a huge part of his life. all of his friends and loved ones know just how important you are to him even without him saying anything. especially with blowing up and all the busy stuff he does as a creator, he wants you to be there with him every step of the way, never leaving you in the dark about anything. he’s always asking you for advice or ur opinion on certain projects, and if ur willing to help too that just makes him so happy. because at the end of the day, he wouldn’t be able to do it without you :)

you guys are definitely the wholesome couple. there’s so much love and communication between you two that doesn’t go unnoticed by the people around you. on top of that, you guys share an adoration for each other that is just so freaking cute man

karl doesn’t strike me as a ‘heart on his sleeve’ kinda guy but around you, he’s definitely not closed off at all. aside from just talking to you and verbally being open, he also isn’t afraid to let you see him get upset or even cry about something. i see him as the type to value transparency in a relationship.

F is for Fiancé (How long into the relationship before they propose?)

karl definitely loves you, no doubt about it. but i feel like you guys really do enjoy just being together in the moment and not worrying about that stuff until much later down the line. you could be dating for a really long time and there’s still gonna be so much you can learn about each other. i’ll give karl an official number of 5 years. but maybe even longer. it’s a big decision guys remember!! especially because he does want you in his life forever, he wants to make sure the bond is truly like no other.

depends. you guys have lots of playful banter and bullying but at the end of day he can be a big softy when it comes to you. so yes id say he’s pretty gentle 👍

him. it was really early on into the relationship and he kinda regretted saying it so quickly. there was just so much emotion going on for him at the time and he just blurted it out. after a little while longer tho, he gave a proper confession of his love.

everyone always says no for karl but YES. he does get jealous. not like angry jealous more like weirded out and uncomfy jealous. you can usually tell when he’s feeling that way.

writing about kissing kinda makes me cringe but i had to think of something for k. it happens a lot probably. very sweet and loving. not just on the lips but karl will give you random kisses anywhere whenever he feels like it.

after the first argument you guys have methinks. i feel like being caught in the honeymoon phase would kinda put the opening up process on hold, but once there’s a need for it it becomes a frequent thing.

he honestly doesn’t strike me as the protective type. possessive i would say maybe a little bit. he’s just so happy to have you and so like proud of himself for getting an epic s/o lol. he would never intrude on a friendship of yours or anything but if he was uncomfortable in anyway he would let you know before acting out.

T is for Try (How much effort do they put into the relationship?)

he puts everything he can into it. with him being so busy all the time things might get rocky but he makes such an effort to spend as much time with you as he can. being there for you is something that’s really important for him as well. any disagreements you guys have is resolved asap because he definitely doesn’t like leaving things on a bad note.

U is for Uphold (How do they show you they’re proud? What kind of support do they give you?)

he talks about you lots. anything that you make him or buy him is showed off on stream and any accomplishments you’ve made he would publicly congratulate you on. just showing to the world how great he thinks you are and how proud of you he is makes you feel so supported and he always wants you to feel that way.

I have a feeling that San doesn’t really show when he is sad. The only way you can really tell is due to his lack of energy. San likes to sleep when he is depressed because he has no energy to do anything else. Please spoon this baby when he is like this.

San has a great balance of talking and listening. He can do either one, if you are in a talkative mood he would love to listen to you! San probably loves to talk about the new cheorography Attez is learning, what happened in the latest episode of a show y’all watch, or show you funny/ cute memes he found.

U - Unencumbered (What helps them relax?)

Again, watching TV with you and the members helps him relax. He loves being surrounded by the people he loves and sharing a lot of laughs. When you both relax in all of his plushies on his bed, he instantly relaxes.

V - Vaunt (What do they like to show off? What are they proud of?)

San likes to show off his fashion style. (Boy is always looking snatched) Expensive clothes, jewerly, shoes you get the jist of it. More importantly though, he is very proud of where he is in his career. Several people doubted him as a trainee (even his parents said they thought he would drop out) but he kept persevering to his debut and after. San is so immensely talented, he deserves to see the whole world watch him perform.

W - Why (Reasons why they love you)

San loves how comfortable he is with you. He feels like he has a best friend for life. He wishes the moments of full smiles and laughter never end with you.

I feel like San would vibe with the song “Paparazzi” by Slchld & oceanfromtheblue, really anything on that album. He really vibes with all the songs so I can see him playing this album when y’all are together.

Like I mentioned before, you are his best friend for life and his place of comfort. You place so much calmness and reassurance in him that helps him keep moving forward.

Let's talk about Jet.

More specifically, let's talk about how he's 3 out of 5 for "literary foil to the main cast". Hell, you could make the case for him as a foil to Aang, too, though for now, let’s focus on Sokka, Zuko, and Katara.

In literature, a foil is a character that shows qualities that are in contrast with the qualities of another character. The objective is to highlight the traits of the other character. The term foil, though generally being applied to a contrasting character, may also be used for any comparison that is drawn to portray a difference between two things.

So with that in mind: Jet.

You're jealous that he's a better warrior and a better leader!

Jet is set up as a foil for Sokka in his debut and eponymous episode. Sokka wants to be a leader to Katara and Aang but isn't taken seriously. His instincts drive them right to Fire Nation soldiers, he barely takes any down, he seemingly lacks the charisma and leaderships skills that Jet exhibits. Like Sokka fancied himself the lead warrior among children in the South Pole, Jet leads a group orphans. Jet, therefore, is introduced as a more suave and successful version of Sokka.

Jet tries to appeal to Sokka both emotionally and rationally, first bringing up Kya and then saying that only someone like Sokka could understand his plan. He sees how similar they are, or could be, and tries to get Sokka on his side. But because of his intuition and moral standing, Sokka cannot be swayed. Those are ultimately the two qualities that set them aside: intuition and morality. Sokka might not be as charming as Jet as far as Aang and Katara are concerned, but his instincts do make him a reliable leader. As for morality, Sokka might not like the Fire Nation but he’s more rational than Jet and hasn’t been radicalized.

Sokka chooses to save the innocent because of his morality and can do so because his intuition is something Jet didn’t take into account, even though he witnessed it earlier on. At first, Jet is a foil in a way that he highlights what Sokka lacks as a leader and a warrior, but he ultimately ends up proving that Sokka is on the right track. He has the good heart and the smarts it takes to win the war. “Jet” is very much a Sokka episode in this way, and so Jet’s initial purpose as a character is to be his foil.

You’re an outcast, like me. And us outcasts have to stick together. We have to watch each other’s backs. Because no one else will.

When the series brings Jet back, it’s not to rehash the same thing yet again with Sokka. Instead, Jet and the Freedom Fighters meet Zuko and Iroh on their journey to Ba Sing Se and so he becomes a foil to another main character. Jet himself points out their similarities with Zuko and his wish for a second chance directly parallels Zuko’s opportunity for a new life. The Blue Spirit persona would make for a great addition to the Freedom Fighters but Zuko declines, not feeling like the hero.

But this is where Jet’s journey truly becomes an interesting foil to Zuko’s. When Jet sees a dubious clue that the two might be firebenders, his hatred is reignited and he can’t let go. He tells himself it’s different than when he met the Gaang, the he’s still gonna take the second chance he has, but he wastes that opportunity with his obsession. Jet’s fate is sealed the moment he barges into that tea shop, long before he’s reunited with his friends and the Gaang. Though Zuko himself might not know it at that point (not until “The Ember Island Players”), Jet is a warning sign: this is where clinging to hatred and the past leads.

Jet tried to change but couldn’t help falling into old habits. In the very episode he dies, Zuko has a choice to let Appa and his previous obsession go. Of course, Zuko does eventually go down a similarly destructive path, but he’s lucky enough to be able to come back from that; Jet isn’t. The way Jet adds depth to Zuko’s story is different than with Sokka and shows what different things you can do with minor characters.

Katara, you sound like Jet. It’s not the same! Jet attacked the innocent. This man, he’s a monster.

But wait, there’s more. Although the episode “Jet” established the character as Sokka’s foil, it also set in motion multiple recurring themes for Katara. Jet is the first person to truly betray Katara’s trust after she trusted him, something that hurt her so deep she holds on to that grudge until the very end. After Jet dies, she’s willing to give second chances, only for that to come back and bite her with Zuko. As well as breaking her trust, Jet introduces Katara to moral ambiguity and revenge, just like another foil, Hama later on, and these ideas all come together in “The Southern Raiders”.

There’s an interesting insistence on Katara’s part about the guilty and the innocent, which she believes sets her apart from the likes of Jet and Hama. They took their rage and unleashed it on the innocent, whereas Katara is concerned with the “monsters”, or as she called Jet, the “sick”. The callback to Jet and the bloodbending featured in the episode makes it clear to us that this is a fine line that Jet and Hama must have previously crossed at one point. Katara could either learn from the past, from the darker fates of foils, or fall prey to anger and hatred. Though Hama is Katara’s true foil in this sense (and Azula in every other), her journey down this path began with Jet.

Jet as a foil to Katara is not as straightforward as with Sokka or even Zuko. And yet, it plays a part in her journey. “Jet” set in motion Katara’s journey into her own moral ambiguity, despite how firmly she stood against Jet. In the end, she triumphed where he couldn’t. She didn’t let grief destroy her morality and she even forgave Zuko when she couldn’t forgive Jet - making this another parallel between Jet and Zuko as well.

“Jet” as an episode sets up Jet the character as a foil for Sokka and that’s where the two’s dynamic stays. When the series brings Jet back, they expand upon his character and make him a foil to Zuko instead, mirroring the choice he’s faced with. This already made Jet much more interesting than a one-off foil, but then his story is contrasted with yet another main character’s posthumously. The way in which his actions and his betrayal haunt Katara really showcases how Avatar can take a seemingly simple minor character and make him part of so many intertwining stories.

It’s funny because I didn’t ship Hannigram at first... I’d thought the idea of a cannibal having a relationship was terrifying because what if they had sex and Hannibal got hungry in the middle of the act? Lmaoooo

God. I’ve written a couple of Academy Era (focused on the Deca) crack fanfics and I still have to translate them to English. They’re pure garbage but I love them. I have a lot of fun writing crack fics because they’re easier and I can ignore whatever piece of canon I want just for the laughs

I had definitively forgotten about supernatural until I saw it all over my dashboard in the year of our lord 2020 lmao like in my wholock days I tried to watch the show because everyone on my dash (is it still called dashboard?) was talking about it and I watched about 8 episodes before dropping it. But seeing it again on the dash was actually a happy surprise because the memes are too funny hahaha

I’m extremely shy irl and on the internet as well but I wanna say that  @janeturenne is one of the best authors ever and her fanfics are a blessing in my life; also @thebraxiatelcollection who brings awesome content to my dash and is also one of the best authors. And of course, you, Jack, also one of the best authors god I’m so BLESSED

Uhhh I guess I’m neutral about the current companions. They’re not my favorites but I don’t really dislike them - they had a lot of potential and chibs came up with some good storylines but did not develop them well in my opinion. I think Graham is a fun grandpa whom I’m going to miss when he leaves; Ryan is cool and could’ve done a lot more if the writers had kept a few things, it’d be awesome if he vlogged all of their adventures. He’s like the one I was curious to see more but sadly didn’t feel a connection; and Yaz, I hope she’ll keep growing and that her friendship with the Doctor will finally be developed to a level we can connect to her.

It sounds weird because with the fam it’s always ‘what I wish could have been’ because I never felt really connected to them :(

Ok... I don’t really ship Rey/Finn but I think it’s one of the sweetest ships ever, and if they ended up together I’d be happy. They love each other and are there for each other always so, yeah :D

I don’t know if I got the question right but it’s three things I wish I saw more in my main fandom? Well, if it’s that, then, 3 things about the Doctor Who fandom: 1) people having more civilized or light-hearted discussions about things. Like, I genuinely disliked an 8th doctor audio I listened once that my friends loved, and they made fun of me and we joked about it. Also once we were in a live twitch video playing among us and discussing doctor who, and then we got into a ship “discourse” as a joke and nobody really cared and just laughed because everyone knew it’s fictional shit so why get mad over it? 2) Doctor Who has a titanic amount of content, it’s all canon but at the same time it’s not, so who cares? If you want to listen to Big Finish audios and if you can afford it, then lisiten; if you can’t, it’s okay, no one has the right to tell you you’re less of a fan. Just tell them to fuck off; 3) The best way to keep fandom alive is by creating content. Here in my local fandom we have several podcasts dedicated to all areas of the whoniverse (the show, the expanded universe, the audios, etc), those old fandom websites who do serious work to bring news to the fans, people who make subtitles for the classic series (we don’t have it available here so they do their best to make it accessible to other fans), accounts dedicated to promoting dr who fans who create content, and we even have people making their own audiodramas with dw characters and writing book-lenght fanfiction to help explain the show to people who’ve never watched it, and a great variety of things. I’ve seen a few of these things in the international fandom, mostly by older fans, so I wish younger fans about my age who have the means to make this kind of stuff would make it too. Maybe there’d be less twitter drama out there lol

The Master is a big fan of musicals and in the 77 years he spent on earth he watched every single one ever. I’m gonna be bold and say that when he was young, still Koschei, he was an artist, and thought about dropping everything to become an actor on Gallifrey. Time Lords do appreciate art, and have their own plays, but it’s just the same old and boring ones the young people don’t care about. The Master then created a shocking performance that was way ahead of its time and the older Time Lords were so appalled they banned him from writing and presenting plays and that’s his villain origin story

T - Do you have any hard and fast headcanons that you will die defending, about anything at all (gender identity, sexual or romantic orientation, extended family, sexual preferences like top/bottom/switch, relationship with poetry, seriously anything)

1) The Doctor and the Master married on Gallifrey and the entire show is just them having the most litigious divorce in the universe (still isn’t final because the Master has killed all the judges); 2) Ushas/The Rani is ace; 3) The Deca was a 10 people polyamorous relationship; 4) Romana and Livia were girlfriends at the Academy and they hate each other now because the break up was baad; 5) Romana writes fanfiction; 6) Romana/Leela had a thing in Davidia I KNOW it; 7) Leela pegs Narvin; 8) Brax has a life-size painting of Romana at his collection or a statue or smth; 9) Brax’s dream in Reborn is actually REAL and he’s married to Romana, Leela and Narvin all at the same time

show/manga: My Hero Academia :D

give me a show/movie/fandom and I’ll tell you:

my favorite female character:

On the hero side, Momo Yaoyorozu!! I love her SO much and I adore the amount of growth we’ve seen from her over the course of the series, and will hopefully continue to see as it continues. I appreciate so much that she’s not just the ‘sexy’ character archetype she could have been, that she has so much depth to her as a character and we see her grow and struggle with her own insecurities, and that she’s so smart and sweet and devoted to becoming a hero. Plus she has one of the coolest quirks!

On the villain side, definitely Himiko Toga, because who doesn’t adore her :P I mean obviously there’s the indeniable Harley Quinn comparison to be made, but she’s also so genuinely funny and adorable in her own morbid sort of way. I’m really excited to see her undergo some character growth to come in the upcoming season of the anime :3

On the hero side, it’s gotta be Hawks :P Without a single doubt in my mind, I ADORE Hawks. Yes he’s only been in two episodes of the anime thus far but HOO BOY WE GOT A BIG STORM COMING NEXT SEASON in terms of character development for our beautiful birb boi, he’s honestly one of the most complex characters I’ve seen in media in a WHILE. On top of that Aesthetic, he’s that wonderful type of character with the duality of both being incredibly intelligent and analytical and also THE BIGGEST DORK IN THE UNIVERSE; throw in a generous helping of tragic backstory and MORAL AMBIGUITY and you’ve got a recipe for a Fave Character!!!

On the villain side.......honestly it is as DEAD TIE between Dabi and Overhaul. Dabi is DEFINITELY more universally likeable, that much goes without SAYING really, plus he’s just SO COOL, however a lot of his depth as a character hasn’t even been OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED IN CANON YET but I love him to bits all the same and am hella excited for him to finally get his moment in the sun. As for Overhaul, well I’ll probably dig into THAT particular burning garbage can in a later question so stay tuned :P

Ooh, probably season three so far!! It’s the only season we’ve gotten so far that pretty much focuses on a single story arc and god DAMN what a story arc it is!! But if what I’ve seen in the manga so far is any indication, whenever it comes out season five may yet take that title!!

I have two :P The episode in season two when Deku faces off against Shoto during the sports festival arc, and the episode in season three when Deku and Bakugo fight just after the conclusion of the summer camp arc

First answer is Katsuki Bakugo!! I’m sure I’m not the only one who wanted to hit this little shit with a chair for two and a half seasons but I was promised character growth and BOY OH BOY DID THE SERIES EVER DELIVER ON THAT. He is now my son and certified ~Zesty Boi~ and I am proud of him :3

SECOND ANSWER IS THE BIGGIE. THAT ONE ASSHOLE, WHAT A TOOL, AKA KAI CHISAKI AKA OVERHAUL 

Listen to me you guys I went through the entire five stages of grief before I even accepted that I like this dude okay XD It was a PROCESS. But honestly *gestures at my past track record of liking dark, shady, ~problematique~ male characters* this was kind of inevitable because yes he does REALLY TERRIBLE SHIT, INEXCUSEABLE SHIT, H O W E V E R he’s pretty :P That and also Overhaul is genuinely, much like Hawks, an incredibly complex and well-fleshed out villain and character in general!!!! Plus he has one of the COOLEST character designs and one of the most BADASS quirks in the entire series.
