Is being on both testosterone and estrogen at the same time a real thing? Wouldn't they cancel each other out? /gen I don't know how hormone drugs work and that sounds fascinating
it totally is! hormones are something that differ for everyone and every body is gonna have different reactions and levels (esp in people who have had surgery!). it also depends on how they’re taken, ie injections will have a stronger and faster reaction than say, gel, on top of obviously dosage. what i hope to be doing is just microdosing on estrogen for a Specific Thing, and in that case i’ll be taking such a small and focused dose that it literally won’t effect any other part of my body. you can take kind of every hormone concoction imaginable in certain doses and with certain methods! beautiful hrt soup

HERBS OF MARS: Action, Strength, The Muscular System, Adrenaline
Mars represents primal energy, the fuel in which we bring ideas, dreams, and desires into manifestation. Mars yields and fuels us with power, strength, courage and physical activity. Within astrological charts, Mars is a key element noting aspects to one’s drive, desire, agility and the nature of one’s physical energy.
S A C R E D A N A T O M Y
Anatomically this energy corresponds with the muscular system, the motor nerves, and the production of adrenalin. Astrologers look to Mars’ placement in the natal chart to describe how we pursue many aspects of sexual fulfillment, along with how we source energy within the body and mind. Medical astrologers include the external sexual organs in correspondence to Mars.
Diseases which induce a fever are sometimes associated with Mars. Other inflammation based outbreaks, like herpes, cirrhosis, candida, are often connected to Mars. Due to the sexual nature of Mars, a lot of medical astrologers have also associated sexually transmitted diseases with this planet. Accidents due to “spacey-ness”, or a lack of coordination, are directly associated to Mars and its transits. Other conditions in relation to Mars include fatigue, energy levels (high or low), hyperactivity, living in “fight-or-flight mode.”
E N E R G E T I C S
By nature, the herbs of Mars are energetically yang and considered hot, energetic, and dry. They frequently cause an increase in energy or heat, even if only energetically. These herbs need to be used mindfully, as using them extensively can overthrow the adrenals for example, along with emotions. As you might relate, an excess of Mars energy can lead to behavior patterns generally perceived as aggressive, egotistic, argumentative, confrontational, etc. Or, a deficiency of Mars energy can lead to behavior patterns where we lack libdio, general desire, motivation, or even enough energy to act on something we love. Many of the herbs that fall under Mars’ umbrella are often protecting, strengthening, warming and energizing.
H E R B A L C O R R E S P O N D A N C E S
There’s a broad spectrum of herbs that fall under Mars’ category, encompassing mineralizing tonics, like Nettle, to highly protective plants that help purge, like Rue, to energizing powerhouses that stimulate our system like Guarana. Mars’ herbs are activating one way or another, therefore they must be used wisely since they tend to activate all facets of one’s being; energetically and spiritually. It’s important to note, that if you’re engine is already running hot, and there is a prominence of Mars energy, don’t over consume plants that might make your engine overheat.
“A classic herb, like Rue, is an aromatic and stimulant whose energizing qualities have been known to relieve nervous heart problems such as arrhythmia and palpitation. Rue also relieves colic, eliminates worms and can bring on menstruation.” Paul Beyerl
Nettle, another classic that greatly embodies Mars, in its physicality and medicinal action, possesses thorns that act as hypodermics, injecting subcutaneous doses of stinging fluid. It is this same irritating juice, that when properly prepared becomes a powerful internal astringent, that through it’s heating action it relieves arthritic and rheumatic conditions, helps eliminate infections, regulate blood pressure, reduce susceptibility to colds and much more.
A combination of Solar Herbs with those of Mars add strength and forcefulness to the formulas’ personality, hence our personality. On an emotional level, they can increase a feeling of purposefulness and independence, enhancing our natural ability to not just to survive, but to thrive with our internal reservoirs as resources. An example of this combination would be pairing turmeric (sun) with pine pollen (mars).
Combining with Herbs of the Moon, for example, it can trigger deep emotional healing. This pairing can also be excellent for detoxification and combat gut issues. On an emotional/spiritual level diving deep into the emotional world can be pairing blue lotus (moon) with nettle root (mars).
For generating abundance, or being a better provider of resources, herbs of Mars can be combined with those of Jupiter. This increases a sense of abundance, self-confidence, delight, and spontaneity. A pairing that could reflect this would be: Meadowsweet and Maca.

Slightly late monthly journal!
First off, the spreadsheet has been updated:
Nothing too drastic here, especially compared to my initial growth spurt. But still… there’s so much, yet so little to talk about.
I’ve been on spiro for a longer time now, and recently increased my estradiol dose. Note that my levels check was before the increased dose- the dates aren’t completely coordinated (they are on my private spreadsheet for my own personal tracking, don’t worry). It’s looking pretty good. Testosterone is well within target levels. E is about the same, which is much lower than I would like it. My endo says that 100-200 is “minimally acceptable”, and wants to shoot even higher than that. That’s comforting, in a way- I’m the slightest bit frustrated that some changes aren’t happening too quickly, but that gives a very distinct avenue for improvement. Ultimately, I’m gonna switch to injection monotherapy, probably around the same time I start prog. So the big change is decreased T. What has that done to me?
First off, the hard measurements. There’s really no surprises here. I’m losing weight, which tracks with my general diet and an increase in exercise levels. It seems to be happening faster than normal, though. Which, is pretty easily explainable by a new variable in the equation: adderall. I started adderall in the middle of the month. I’ve used it sparingly, but everyone I know that takes it told me that weight loss is pretty much unavoidable. I’m certainly still above any point where my weight would be worrying, but I’m gonna have to keep an eye on it. Especially if I want fat tits. As for how the weight loss is happening, I’m very happy with what’s going on. My bust and hip measurements are holding steady, while my waist and underbust are still slightly going down.
I do know that there’s another source of weight loss, however: muscle mass. With the increase in exercise level has come an increase in exertion for the same results, which has made me slightly dismayed. This is the main HRT effect that I was a little scared of. But honestly, I really only care about the muscle that helps me hike and swim- and if I maintain that better, I think it won’t be too much of an issue. I was never some pariah of physical condition, so I think with training I can even improve my hiking stamina. That’ll be very necessary with my future backpacking plans.
The main thing that I’m REALLY happy about is that, if I squint, I think I can slowly start to see the first hints of facial changes start to come in. They’re subtle, of course. A weird one is that my nose is literally straighter. Y’all don’t see it, but the reason I still shield my face (despite being easily identifiable at this point if you saw me irl and knew this account) is mostly insecurity about my nose and chin. My nose actually physically curves to my right when viewed from the front, and in general, is a huge, classic Roman nose. Looking at head on progress pictures, its actually starting to straighten out. I thought I was imagining things, but I checked in with a couple friends before and after pictures of several years on HRT, and yeah- their noses are different, usually smaller and more symmetrical. Saying that this is a huge relief to me would be an understatement. Additionally, I was insecure about my boxy jawline, but for some reason, it seems to work as a femme feature of my face now- I think slight cheek restructuring helps frame it better. Still not so sure how the chin is gonna turn out. But hey- I started HRT thinking that I would for sure need FFS to pass, but now, I'm far less concerned. I'll at least give it two years.
I’ve also gotten a lot of interesting comments. Several labmates and family members that don’t know I’m transitioning have remarked that my skin looks healthier, and I look younger. I’ve also had noticeable mental health improvement, so I think most people think I’m on some kind of self improvement kick. I mentioned skin care as part of that. We’ll see how long the excuse holds- probably a while, as the changes are so, so subtle at the moment. But shit, I’m only three months in. I’m thrilled.
There’s still no getting rid of my beard shadow. Even though the growth rate of my facial hair has noticeably decreased, the thickness of the basal hairs will always add shading to my face. When I started HRT, I thought it wouldn’t bother me that much until I was ready to socially transition- but tbh, it’s starting to look glaring to me. I’m looking into starting laser sometime in January, and hopefully that’ll help.
Which brings me to the emotional changes. Holy FUCK what a month its been. I’m not gonna expose all of my dirty laundry. But, a mixture of some long term anxieties and a few particular events led to a classic mid-20s “what the fuck am I doing with my life” crisis. One of those long term anxieties was a thought I’m sure many of y’all are familiar with: “I started HRT. Now what? How the fuck am I going to socially transition?”
For a couple days, I was very seriously considering quitting grad school and academia. I’m past that. Tragically, I love science a little too much. I do, however, need a break. I talked to my advisor about taking a hiatus, and he’s fully supportive of the idea. And conveniently, that also provides me with a clean way to simply disappear, and come back as a woman. A nice little break to allow me to socially transition.
But anyways. Here’s my big point here: if I went through something similar pre-HRT, I would’ve reacted completely differently. I would’ve shoved those thoughts deep and let them simmer as a general, background malaise that I would just stew in and suffer. Now? I cried. A lot. Actual fucking tears. I went through a few days of sharp sadness, and then actually fucking processed those emotions. What the fuck? That’s new. It’s insane. I wouldn’t have had the emotional capacity to that before.
I’m elated. It’s wonderful. It’s a more than welcome change.
But yeah. Steady as she goes. Progress is a little stalled, but both me and my provider are adamant about getting that E up. And I’m still making slow progress as it is.
Very quick NSFW notes after this button.
The final note: sexual function. With the low T… yup, my downstairs functionality has decreased. My ejaculate is clear, and often happens without being fully erect. That said… there’s no way in hell that I would ever trade getting that back for what I have now. My libido is still comes in waves, and is crazy when it comes. The feelings I get from intimate situations now are incredible beyond belief.

🦎Given the US political climate, some Tips for anyone stockpiling HRT (by which I mean E, P, or T):
Raw powders, like you might see available online, can be put in the refrigerator and last for a /long/ time.
Dry pills like powders and can be similarly refrigerated.
Wet pills and injections usually should NOT be refrigerated. It can cause the solution to crystalize, and you don't want to inject/swallow lots of microcrystals, because it hurts. Follow the packaging, which will generally say store at room temp.
Keep everything in original packaging until right before you plan to use it. This avoids contamination.
Both Dry and Wet hormones keep best when stored away from light.
I'll note that Swallowed Dry Pills have a low bioavailability. In some cases, you can use Sublingual (under the tongue) or Buccal (against the cheek/gums) to increase a pill's effectiveness, just letting the dry pill/powder melt against your gums. Stickies go even further with this, spreading out the dose across the day for maximum effect, allowing you to take less for the same effect.
And of course, talk with your doctor about any changes in how you're taking your HRT, you and they will probably want blood work done.

hey, not very educated transfem here
yk how people talk about T gel? does E gel exist? How does it work? Does it give you a similar amount to other forms of E?
E gel does exist! You use it pretty much the same as T gel, but it does have a significantly lower dose than injectable E because it is used every day (Injections like Zoladex are 3.6mg every 28 days or Zoladex LA which is 10.8mg every 3 months, while E gels like Oestrogel and Sandrena are 0.75mg - 1 mg every day)
As for how it works, it comes in little sachets and ya just rub it into your skin— I’ve heard arms, shoulders, belly, inner thighs all recommended by girls on it (but apparently applying scrotally is seen to have a better effect? Please take that with a grain of salt since I’ve not seen any cited sources for that. Always talk with your endo first!)
I’m not sure about timelines since I’ve not been on oestrogel before, but maybe one of our followers knows!

“Wearable” devices for cells

“Wearable” devices for cells
Tumblr media
Wearable devices like smartwatches and fitness trackers interact with parts of our bodies to measure and learn from internal processes, such as our heart rate or sleep stages.
Now, MIT researchers have developed wearable devices that may be able to perform similar functions for individual cells inside the body.
These battery-free, subcellular-sized devices, made of a soft polymer, are designed to gently wrap around different parts of neurons, such as axons and dendrites, without damaging the cells, upon wireless actuation with light. By snugly wrapping neuronal processes, they could be used to measure or modulate a neuron’s electrical and metabolic activity at a subcellular level.
Because these devices are wireless and free-floating, the researchers envision that thousands of tiny devices could someday be injected and then actuated noninvasively using light. Researchers would precisely control how the wearables gently wrap around cells, by manipulating the dose of light shined from outside the body, which would penetrate the tissue and actuate the devices.
By enfolding axons that transmit electrical impulses between neurons and to other parts of the body, these wearables could help restore some neuronal degradation that occurs in diseases like multiple sclerosis. In the long run, the devices could be integrated with other materials to create tiny circuits that could measure and modulate individual cells.
“The concept and platform technology we introduce here is like a founding stone that brings about immense possibilities for future research,” says Deblina Sarkar, the AT&T Career Development Assistant Professor in the MIT Media Lab and Center for Neurobiological Engineering, head of the Nano-Cybernetic Biotrek Lab, and the senior author of a paper on this technique.
Sarkar is joined on the paper by lead author Marta J. I. Airaghi Leccardi, a former MIT postdoc who is now a Novartis Innovation Fellow; Benoît X. E. Desbiolles, an MIT postdoc; Anna Y. Haddad ’23, who was an MIT undergraduate researcher during the work; and MIT graduate students Baju C. Joy and Chen Song. The research appears today in Nature Communications Chemistry.
Snugly wrapping cells
Brain cells have complex shapes, which makes it exceedingly difficult to create a bioelectronic implant that can tightly conform to neurons or neuronal processes. For instance, axons are slender, tail-like structures that attach to the cell body of neurons, and their length and curvature vary widely.
At the same time, axons and other cellular components are fragile, so any device that interfaces with them must be soft enough to make good contact without harming them.
To overcome these challenges, the MIT researchers developed thin-film devices from a soft polymer called azobenzene, that don’t damage cells they enfold.
Due to a material transformation, thin sheets of azobenzene will roll when exposed to light, enabling them to wrap around cells. Researchers can precisely control the direction and diameter of the rolling by varying the intensity and polarization of the light, as well as the shape of the devices.
The thin films can form tiny microtubes with diameters that are less than a micrometer. This enables them to gently, but snugly, wrap around highly curved axons and dendrites.
“It is possible to very finely control the diameter of the rolling. You can stop if when you reach a particular dimension you want by tuning the light energy accordingly,” Sarkar explains.
The researchers experimented with several fabrication techniques to find a process that was scalable and wouldn’t require the use of a semiconductor clean room.
Making microscopic wearables
They begin by depositing a drop of azobenzene onto a sacrificial layer composed of a water-soluble material. Then the researchers press a stamp onto the drop of polymer to mold thousands of tiny devices on top of the sacrificial layer. The stamping technique enables them to create complex structures, from rectangles to flower shapes.
A baking step ensures all solvents are evaporated and then they use etching to scrape away any material that remains between individual devices. Finally, they dissolve the sacrificial layer in water, leaving thousands of microscopic devices freely floating in the liquid.
Once they have a solution with free-floating devices, they wirelessly actuated the devices with light to induce the devices to roll. They found that free-floating structures can maintain their shapes for days after illumination stops.
The researchers conducted a series of experiments to ensure the entire method is biocompatible.
After perfecting the use of light to control rolling, they tested the devices on rat neurons and found they could tightly wrap around even highly curved axons and dendrites without causing damage.
“To have intimate interfaces with these cells, the devices must be soft and able to conform to these complex structures. That is the challenge we solved in this work. We were the first to show that azobenzene could even wrap around living cells,” she says.
Among the biggest challenges they faced was developing a scalable fabrication process that could be performed outside a clean room. They also iterated on the ideal thickness for the devices, since making them too thick causes cracking when they roll.
Because azobenzene is an insulator, one direct application is using the devices as synthetic myelin for axons that have been damaged. Myelin is an insulating layer that wraps axons and allows electrical impulses to travel efficiently between neurons.
In non-myelinating diseases like multiple sclerosis, neurons lose some insulating myelin sheets. There is no biological way of regenerating them. By acting as synthetic myelin, the wearables might help restore neuronal function in MS patients.
The researchers also demonstrated how the devices can be combined with optoelectrical materials that can stimulate cells. Moreover, atomically thin materials can be patterned on top of the devices, which can still roll to form microtubes without breaking. This opens up opportunities for integrating sensors and circuits in the devices.
In addition, because they make such a tight connection with cells, one could use very little energy to stimulate subcellular regions. This could enable a researcher or clinician to modulate electrical activity of neurons for treating brain diseases.
“It is exciting to demonstrate this symbiosis of an artificial device with a cell at an unprecedented resolution. We have shown that this technology is possible,” Sarkar says.
In addition to exploring these applications, the researchers want to try functionalizing the device surfaces with molecules that would enable them to target specific cell types or subcellular regions.
The research was supported by the Swiss National Science Foundation and the U.S. National Institutes of Health Brain Initiative.

Diluc
What? Diluc has a roommate? Did you blackmail him in living with you? Is that even possible? Did you throw yourself in front of his car because you needed someone to pay for your student loans and the easiest way was to file a lawsuit? In this economy no one would blame you. Diluc seems like such the self-isolated character that would murder his roommate in cold blood but in reality, he act’s detached from the world because he forgot how to socialize and he’s desperately trying to cover it up without choking. That or he’s trying to learn how to astral project. If he could drink away the pain he would but instead he buys 20 packs of grape Kool-Aid and injects it into his veins.
Does not and will not ever have a normal sleeping schedule. You’ll wake up to him working, come back home to him working, and will sleep to him still working. His daily dose of Vitamin D is from the brightness of his screen rather than the sun and he’s filter feeding at this point. It’s concerning. He’s going to crumble and he’s bringing the world down with him. Through the power of tax evasion. But as soon as he needs to walk out into society, he pulls movie magic and looks like perfection. It’s both physically and mentally disgusting.
He’s actually is a really nice roommate to have just so long as you give him space. Great cook and knows to clean up after himself. Though he does have crash and burn days where’s he’s completely out of commission. You could set the entire apartment on fire and he would sleep through it. The entire two weeks are dedicated to zombie eye marathons and then he’ll suddenly collapse and sleep for 46 hours straight. When he wakes up from his hibernation he’s the most groggy and nonsensical person. His life blood is coffee because you keep hiding the 5 hour energy away from him because, you know, life is enjoyable and those cancer bottles will actually kill him.
“University sucks our money out of our bodies faster than our will to live.”

Beidou [Happy Birthday Queen 💕]
Despite her appearance, she’s actually really strong and it scares the piss out of you when you’re doing something or scrolling through your phone mindlessly and you suddenly get your spine re-arranged when she slaps you on the back to ask what you’re doing. Likewise, when she hoists you up and throws you over her shoulder so you come with her on her 3am convivence store raids for alcohol. It’s either you change now or else we’re walking out of the apartment in your t-shirt and no pants self. She can and will carry you under her arm that way. It’s both incredibly attractive and horrifying at the same time.
She’s really friendly and a great talker if you’re alright with her “I must hold you in my arms, fresh prince of bel air style”. It doesn’t matter if you’re taller than her, she’s doing it. She does however, get in a bit of trouble from her rowdiness and you often get noise complaints but Beidou just passes them off to Ningguang and everything is fixed. She has ovaries of steel when neighbors rather confront her personally and she’s ready to 1v1 in the parking lot. You’re trying to desperately hold onto her shirt to stop her from pile driving your neighbors for the third time this week but she’s too strong.
She’s constant party until we die attitude and suffers the hangover in the morning. It’s actually really funny to catch her in her hangover moods because whatever filter Beidou had, which is none, is gone. She really takes “cursing like a sailor” or the next level and the amount of creativity she comes up with is actually impressive. She can be a bit messy but she’s really likeable and always down to go anywhere with you as long as you’ll do the same. It’s a very ride together, we die together situation. You’re my best friend, you’re dying with me. I’ll see you in hell.
“Imma T pose over my dad and then crash the car into the parking garage.”
Tumblr media
Kaeya
Kaeya on the surface seems like such a chill roommate. And he is for the most part. But he’s such an ass. Your things are his things, no questions asked. If you just bought a really nice sweater or you had leftover food, that’s his now. He’s innocent until proven guilty even if he’s literally holding your lunch. The pure amount of bullshit he can spit out to convince you that no, he did not pull the fire alarm because he wanted an excuse for not going to work, puts him on Shakespeare level. He’s also very pretty, way too pretty, sir can you share some of your genes?
But aside from that, he’s actually super dependable. You forgot something at home? Sure, he has nothing better to do so he can bring them for you. We’re missing eggs? No problem, he’s just by the store. You’re 95% sure that he just wants to be cheeky and make you thank him for 20 minutes before he actually hands you what you asked for. It’s better for you if you never tell him anything you’re afraid of because Kaeya has no social cues, or more like he throws them out the window, and he’s probably a psychopath.
He’s incredibly private of his room and things despite his attitude towards yours. You’re convinced he either has a secret lab or that’s where he’s storing the bodies. I was the good guy but due to unfortunate circumstances, I need to stab a bitch. But he’s a really good serious talker for those 3am, because everything happens at 3am, talks about life and the meaning of the universe. It absolutely wrecks your sleep schedule but some of the things you talk about are the most crackhead things like what’s the lowest amount of money someone would have to pay you to walk outside without clothes? It’s a legitimate question.
“Never before have I been so offended with something I 100% agree with.”

Jean
Okay, what world did you save in a past life to live with his absolutely wonderful woman? Mother Teresa take a load off, take a seat. You have nothing to worry about. She’ll bring home little treats back home and it’s the most wholesome thing ever?? Is this what love and affection feels like? We’ve been starved for so long. She says it’s not a big deal and anyone would do it BUT THE MOMENT SOMEONE BUYS FOOD FOR YOU. IT’S A MAGICAL MOMENT. They are forever stuck in your will until proven otherwise. An absolute ray of sunshine that must be protected.
She does get super busy so you don’t often see each other or get to hang out as much. She’s a bit of a workaholic but a lot more easier to talk her into taking a break. She’s also a pretty decent cook but she prefers baking and jesus christ, girl can you calm down? Be still my beating heart, I’ve been smitten. Has mother hen vibes that you’re not sure if she’s your roommate or if she adopted you into her family. It’s time to start a petition for the Jean protection squad. Given the opportunity, I would aggressively hold your hand.
She’s always open to whatever you want to do. Any recommendations or things that you like she will try out at least once despite her busy schedule. She’s lowkey lonely because work consumes her so any time you want to hang out or do something together, she jumps on it like she’s feral. She get’s a bit shy to ask if she can join in on your plans because she doesn’t want to bother you or intrude no matter how many times you tell her that’s okay, she still get’s a bit iffy about it. Please save this girl before she trips. In your arms. Platonically. Just kidding haha. Unless?
“I can’t wait to see you happy and not hating everyone again haha.”

Childe
First impressions of Childe were great, until he opened his mouth and you realized how much of a two brain cell child(e) he was. He has two braincells because they constantly have to 1v1 in his brain. He’s lived with a lot of siblings so he has no social awareness or concept of privacy that you’re lucky if you come home and he’s half-dressed. It doesn’t matter if you’re 2 weeks older than him, he’s going to call you 82 years old and why your bones aren’t being fossilized at this point. He’s such a little shit, this fucker licks the yogurt lid peel.
He get’s really restless when he’s stuck under house arrest, because apparently 1v1ing in the parking lot of a Wendy’s is illegal for some reason, so he makes dying whale noises until he get’s to go outside again. But he’s actually a really wholesome guy, probably because of his younger siblings, that he’ll sometimes get you something because you seemed down and it’s such whiplash? Who is this man and where did he come from? You’re starting to have a change of heart before he tells you that he got banned from the library for accidently punching the school’s computer. How you “accidently” punch something you have no idea but Childe always comes home with some sort of injury. Maybe he’s just incredibly clumsy. For your sanity, you’re going to go with that.
He’s actually so uncultured that it’s crippling. You can’t blame him too much considering his upbringing and it’s great that he’s so interested in learning new things but...child no...It makes you want to take your spine out of your ass and rip it like a Beyblade. Watching him take chopsticks and stab his food like it’s marshmallows makes you want to fall into a blackhole and let the chair consume you.
“I, too, fantasize about beating the living shit out of people.”

Valentine’s Day was fun tho. I had a drinking game with friends as we played league then ended it off with a movie night.

Note
ur dad is bzzt wrongo and 1 year is not a lot of HRT time. have some patience
(and increase the dose if necessary, remember that endocrinologists lie to you about the right dosage)
So yeah, I know 1 year is nothing in the whole grand scheme of things. The only reason that became a goal is because it works out very well with my plan for this year, and cleanly fits into my personal life as a point to come out and socially transition. I guess I got it in my head that socially transitioning will be easier if I pass. I don't think it matters much, though. Most of all, boymoding is just killing me, and dysphoria does too.
I know I'll never "fully" pass, and will always be clockable, but you can still be clocky while registering as femme overall. I'm okay with that long term.
My big, BIG hope is that I'll be able to go at least partially stealth by the time I graduate from my PhD and move locations, resetting the people around me. That'll be sometime between 2027 and 2029 most likely, 4-6 years on HRT. That's the big one.
As for doses, my gender care nurse has actively encouraged me to fuck around with doses, and treats her role mostly as an advisor and the person who writes prescriptions. She writes me basically whatever prescription I want, and now that I'm on injections, I'm fucking around a lot with doses. Also I'm kind of responding to the "diy is literally better" person in my inbox, cuz my provider is awesome and straight up encourages me to experiment and understand how to diy if I want to.
After a while on 6mg/day sublingual, I switched to injections. My initial prescribed injection dose was 4mg/week EV, which, based on the transfemme HRT simulator (I know, I know, I don't like it, it gives only vauge approximations and shouldn't be taken as a rule, but its good to think about the ballpark sometimes) should have put me at ~200pg/mL at midpoint, when I was last measured, and ~100pg/mL or higher at trough. Instead, I was at ~120 at midpoint.
In response, my provider said that I could experiment if I was willing to put myself through it. I said yes. I went from 4mg/week to an 8mg injection. That is way over any standard SubQ EV dose. I physically felt it being too high, and I had a few side effects at peak (headache, irritability, cramps, bloat, and stomach problems), so I went down to 7mg, which seems to be fine. I'm going to go down to 6, which is where my provider probably said I'm at, because I know my baseline is increasing at the same time, and I'll be tested again next week. If 6 turns out too low, I'll bump back up to 7 and probably stay there.
I think my body has a weird aversion to hormones of any kind. My T tanked almost instantly, even on low dose sublingual monotherapy, but I've struggled to raise my E even with that. Maybe I just have a very vigilant liver, or shit, I also could be intersex. Whatever it is, my dosages are something I'm very aware of and experimenting with.

Some more about starting T. Even though it has barely been 3 days since my first microdose injection. This is absolutely gonna get TMI, btw.
My last post I made mentioned my libido. I need to emphasize this again. I am on 20mg of Lexapro, which fucking kills your libido dead and same for your ability to cum. Not. Anymore. I'm talking like high security horny prison is necessary. This was only dose number one. MICRODOSE number one. 0.5mL sub-q injection.
I am so glad I got up the courage to do injections since the gel would be an even higher dose. I don't want changes to happen too too quick, and I don't want like FLAT OUT masculine appearances. Vocal changes, facial hair, help with actually having upper body strength. These are the top things I'm excited for. I'm also crossing my fingers for an eventual Adam's Apple, but I know men on much higher doses for YEARS who never developed one so, I dunno if thatll happen.
Bottom growth is fucking h a p p e n i n g. I am excited for that, too, but also like. Every little thing rn is stimulating, and shit is getting sore. It will get better eventually, but right now, yowza!
I'm hoping, as stated earlier, this also helps me gain upper body strength which I have read helps immensely with top surgery recovery, which is definitely next on my list! Although, going through a massive rainy weekend without the cysts in my chest acting up really really made me appreciate my tits a bit more. But ugh. Of all the people in both sides of my family to get bigger than a B cup it HAD to be the nonbinary one.
My throat is very tingly. I hope it's something, but this is my number one thing I'm looking forward to, so it may be my brain messing with me.
During this exciting metamorphosis I would be more than happy to answer questions!
And remember, HRT is absolutely not necessary to be valid. This was my personal choice to start!

December 29, 2020 (Tuesday)
There is definitely a feeling of change in the air. For all his continuing insistence that he won the 2020 election, Trump is a lame duck.
Today’s complicated fight in the Senate over the one-time stimulus payment of $2000 illustrated that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY), not Trump, now controls the Republican caucus. Trump originally refused to sign the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, the bill that contains the coronavirus relief measures, because he claimed he objected to its meager $600 stimulus payments. Six hundred dollars was the amount his negotiators had demanded, but he suddenly said he wanted them to be $2000. Democrats in the House jumped on Trump’s demand for the higher payment and they passed a measure on Monday to increase the payments.
Trump had attacked the bill largely because he is angry at McConnell and Senate Majority Whip John Thune (R-SD) (a whip keeps party members in line behind the party leader) for acknowledging Biden’s victory in November. He was trying to illustrate his power by refusing to sign the bill at all. But Sunday night he gave in without winning anything. Yet, he continued to say he wanted higher payments. The House was happy to give him what the Democrats had wanted all along; today, Trump lost the showdown in the Senate.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) introduced the measure, but Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) killed it. This enabled the two embattled Republican Senate candidates from Georgia both to support Trump and to claim they wanted higher payments, all without actually having to vote for the higher payments. McConnell bested Trump all around: he had no intention of raising those payments no matter what Trump tweeted... and he didn’t.
Trump’s influence in Washington is waning in other ways, too. Yesterday, the House repassed the National Defense Authorization Act over Trump’s veto. Trump claims to object to the bill for a number of reasons, including that it will require that military bases currently named for Confederate generals be renamed, but this is the measure into which Congress put the Corporate Transparency Act I wrote about a few days ago. It will undercut the country’s plague of so-called shell companies, which enable money laundering and other criminal activity because they are owned and operated in secret. The new measure will require that all owners and operators of such companies be clearly identified.
This will likely impact the Trump family, which uses shell companies.
There were other rumblings today that Trump’s post-presidential life might have some sticky places. The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office has hired forensic accountants to help investigate Trump and his businesses. This investigation is a criminal investigation. New York Attorney General Letitia James is in charge of a civil investigation into Trump’s businesses.
But the big thing which showed momentum is moving away from Trump is that President-Elect Joe Biden is forcefully criticizing the Trump administration for its failure to plan for distribution of the coronavirus vaccine.
With more than 330,000 Americans dead of Covid-19 and infections spiking, Biden today noted that the Trump administration has fallen behind on vaccine distribution. The effort got off to a poor start as the administration delivered fewer doses than it had promised and initially blamed Pfizer for a “miscommunication,” only to have Pfizer state that it had “millions of doses” in a warehouse but had received no information about where to send them.
The administration promised to vaccinate 20 million Americans by the end of December, but yesterday, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that it had administered just 2.1 million doses in two weeks, although that number is likely somewhat low because of lag times in reporting. At the current rate, Dr. Leana S. Wen writes in the Washington Post, we can expect to achieve herd immunity in 10 years.
The administration at first refused to share information with the Biden camp about distribution, claiming there was a plan, even though, when finally part of discussions in early December, Biden said “[t]here is no detailed plan that we've seen, anyway, as to how you get the vaccine out of a container, into an injection syringe, into somebody's arm.”
Health and Human Services Secretary Alex Azar responded that Biden’s claim was “nonsense.” “[W]e have comprehensive plans from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention working with 64 public health jurisdictions across the country as our governors have laid out very detailed plans that we’ve worked with them on. We’re leveraging our retail pharmacies, our hospitals, our public health departments, our community health centers.” Azar said the distribution process was being “micromanaged and controlled by the United States military, as well as our incredible private sector. We do hundreds of millions of vaccinations a year. We’re leveraging the systems that are known, and that work here in the United States." Azar assured Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace that, as soon as the vaccines were approved, the government would be shipping them “to all of the states and territories that we work with. And within hours they can be vaccinating,”
It turns out Biden was more right than Azar. The administration planned simply to get the vaccines to the states, and then leave to them the problem of actually getting the vaccines into people’s arms. But state Departments of Health are strapped for money after trying to manage the pandemic for nine months, and had been allotted only $6 million apiece to make the distributions happen. (The new Consolidated Appropriations Act that Trump just signed has significantly more money in it for distribution.)
“The Trump administration’s plan to distribute vaccines is falling behind, far behind,” Biden said today. “As I long feared and warned, the effort to distribute and administer the vaccine is not progressing as it should.”
Finally stung, Trump tweeted tonight that “It is up to the States to distribute the vaccines once brought to the designated areas by the Federal Government. We have not only developed the vaccines, including putting up money to move the process along quickly, but gotten them to the states. Biden failed with Swine Flu!” (Biden was not in charge of the Obama Administration’s response to H1N1 in 2009, which broke out three months after Obama took office.)
Biden promised to invoke the National Defense Production Act, a law that permits the president to require companies to produce goods at the same time that it guarantees them a market for those goods, to speed up the production of supplies necessary to distribute the vaccine quickly. “I have directed my team to prepare a much more aggressive effort, with more federal involvement and leadership to get things back on track,” he said.
But he warned that we are behind and, breaking with the Trump administration, warned that things are going to get much worse before they get better. The spike in infections along with the fallout from holiday gatherings means we will see high case numbers in January and high death tolls in February. It will be mid-March, he warns, before we see improvement. “The next few weeks and months are going to be very tough, a very tough period for our nation — maybe the toughest during this entire pandemic,” Biden said. “I know it’s hard to hear, but it’s the truth.”
“We are going to get through this. Brighter days are coming,” Biden said. “But it’s going to take all of the grit and determination we have as Americans to get it done.”

Some of the possible side effects include mild to moderate nausea, tiredness, bruising and scarring. Vomiting and nausea are not often associated with melanoma use because the formula is so diluted. In the most severe cases, oral drugs are prescribed for patients who continue to suffer with frequent vomiting and nausea. It is important to note that intramuscular injections are only used under special circumstances where the patient is unable to consume any food or liquids and must be intubated.

There are two types of melanoma injections available today. Intra-oral and sub-dermal. Intra-oral is more effective than sub-dermal although it does have some of the same side effects as the latter. If you are considering either procedure, you should consult a dermatologist who can advise you on which one is best for you. number one solution is particularly important if you are at risk of developing skin cancer or other serious medical conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, blood clotting or are undergoing other medications or hormonal therapy.
0doctors Warn Against Use Of Melanotan To Top Up Tans.
As it is an unlicensed medication while it is not illegal to buy it, it is prohibited to market and also offer it in UK. 'This might be a quick solution yet is absolutely not a risk-free option as well as might have significant long-lasting health and wellness repercussions.
In Australia, Melanotan use is the most commonly prescribed treatment for impotence. Impotence is defined as the inability to achieve or maintain an erection sufficient to engage in sexual intercourse. The effects of melanotan use are experienced primarily during the first two weeks after initial treatment. This is because the nausea that some patients report during the first few days of treatment limits their ability to perform normally. This can make it difficult to get an erection and, if the patient does get an erection, there are high chances of it lasting several hours, which significantly reduces the chances of pleasure for the patient and his partner.
Sub-dermal melanotan-ii consists of a collagen gel, a bronchodilator, an anti-inflammatory and possibly an anti-wrinkle compound. These ingredients are usually combined in a formulation that is designed for the application under the skin. You will need to discuss your personal requirements with your dermatologist before choosing a product. As melanotan-ii is a topical medication, its effectiveness depends greatly on the type of skin and what is available in the market. Some common ingredients include tyrosine, lecithin oil, glycerin, hyaluronic acid, vitamin C and others.
The other type of melanotan-induced therapy is intramuscular injections. This is often used in combination with the first but only for individuals who suffer from serious acne, extremely dark pigments or very sensitive skin. This treatment involves injecting a small amount of melanin directly beneath the skin where it helps to block the production of melanin in the pigmentary cells.

The use of Melanotan as a bleaching agent has been largely debated, and even though some scientists claim that the pigment in the skin being changed by Melanotan, others claim that any effects are not long-term or permanent. However, since it has the advantage of being a drug, there are no restrictions whatsoever on the amount of Melanotan that can be administered, as long as it's not abused (i.e., taking excessive doses for non-thermal effects). One of the advantages of Melanotan treatment is its availability, since it is manufactured in controlled quantities that ensure potency and purity. Also, Melanotan can be administered in an oral spray, as well as through plasticintactile implants that plug into the skin (injected into areas that have not responded to topical treatments).
What Is Melanotan 2?
There is also concern regarding the lack of long-term safety data. Melanotan is a relatively new medication, and the long-term effect on the health of individuals is not known. It is not known whether there are any serious side effects of Melanotan use in children or adults, and whether long-term use will reduce the risk of melanoma (a type of cancer) in these individuals. Despite the lack of long-term safety data, there are other available treatments for erectile dysfunction in Australia, including the use of approved medications that are approved by the Pharmaceutical Benefits Administration.
Melanotan II is consequently classified as an unauthorised medicinal product within Europe, the United States and Australia, making all advertising, distribution and marketing illegal.
The details we will make use of are only those that are required for shipping.
UnlikeBotoxand otherinjectable skin care, tanning shots aren't executed by specialists in centers.
like MT2, however, you can avoid "playing with fire" as well as maintain your skin healthy and balanced.
Little is known about its long-lasting impacts, although unfavorable impacts may include the immune and cardiovascular systems amongst others.
In fact it is this very action of melatonin in the skin that makes it an attractive option for cosmetic use. Melanotan injections can be performed anywhere on the body including the skin, chest, back, face, buttocks and even hands. In general, they are used to improve facial skin tone, facial skin texture, remove freckles, fade acne scars, fine lines, reduce underarm sweating and dark spots and hyperpigmentation of the skin. For these reasons alone, melanotan injections are increasingly popular and are now one of the three major classes of cosmetic procedures used by plastic surgeons.
Repressive Effect Of The Melanocortin Receptor Agonist Melanotan.
Because of these potential side effects, Melanotan injections have been regarded as a safer option for treating erectile dysfunction. As an alternative to Melanotan II, injectable melanotan products include lecithin, a compound known to promote healthy blood flow to the genital areas. Although it is not entirely clear how lecithin helps in the promotion of healthy blood flow, it is said that it is capable of making blood flow more efficient, thereby increasing the chance of a sufficient erection being maintained during sexual activity. There are also other compounds that are used in the formulation of injectable melanotan products, such as vitamin C and magnesium. Although these substances may contribute to the improvement of a patient's condition, they are unlikely to cause any immediate side effects.
It was created and also signed up for the treatment of a condition called erythropoietic protopophyria- this is a rare acquired problem that causes sufferers to develop extended burning discomfort, swelling as well as inflammation after 1-20min of sunlight exposure. This is to make sure that we can risk stratify those patients most in jeopardy from UV damage and also skin cancer. But also for individuals like me that don t recognize the physical nature, I m terrified there is no other way to construct an effective magic weapon. "This product hasn't been evaluated for safety and also it can have significant negative effects, as this brand-new report recommends. Ed Yong, from Cancer Cells Research UK, stated "There are great reasons why marketing Melanotan in the UK is unlawful. Readily available on the internet, the shots, called Melanotan, can set you back as much as ₤ 250. Melanotan is an interesting hormone responsible for many different processes. It is a highly essential hormone to the skin, hair and nails. It also has an important role in reproduction. The primary function of melanoma is to act as a mitogen, meaning it stimulates growth and makes cells grow. In addition it is also responsible for the maintenance of skin tone and pigmentation in both humans and animals.
Intravenous drug use has not been found to lead to long term effects. However, it should be noted that intramuscular injections are not suitable for all cases. A Melanotan II trial is normally carried out under medical supervision, and in the rare case where there are no responses, then other avenues should be explored such as laser treatments, photodynamic therapy, electrosurgery or collagen replacement injections. Another option is to treat patients with vitamin E as a topical formula, however, there are case reports of this treatment being ineffective. The possibility of Melanotan use for the treatment of cancer is still being researched, and more case reports and extensive analysis need to be carried out in order to determine the possible long-term effects.
Some Melanotan users argue that there are side effects associated with Melanotan use, however. Because Melanotan injections cause a temporary blocking of blood flow to the penis, erection is impaired while waiting for the medication to take effect, a side effect that Melanotan users often report. Further, men who take Melanotan for erection enhancement must continually be exposed to an environment that they believe offers adequate exposure to Melanotan, because the drug is flammable and dangerous.
Do tanning pills actually work?
Tanning accelerators, such as lotions or pills that contain the amino acid tyrosine or its derivatives, do not work and may be dangerous. Marketers say these products stimulate the body's own tanning process, but most evidence suggests they don't work.
He confesses to the reporter that he knows it was illegal to sell the item in the UK, including, "well it was a wonderful means to earn money because I had a bad time with my service a few years back". Modafinil is a medicine that can just be legally acquired by someone with a prescription. Sildenafil is a medicine, not controlled as a drug, that is available to acquire over-the-counter of a pharmacy, or online, without prescription. There are several threats from taking IPEDs, consisting of unfavorable side-effects for both physical and psychological health and wellness. Modafinil can cause severe skin reactions and psychological injuries, including anxiousness. IPEDs are considered all type of reasons and used by various groups of people.
Melanotan has its uses when it comes to treating skin cancer, particularly melanoma, which accounts for the prevalence of Melanotan products in the market today. Melanotan can inhibit the growth of malignant melanoma cells (melanoma) in two ways. First, it inhibits the formation of new cells (two specific types of melanoma) in the area of the mole. Second, it prevents the release of a chemical called melanocorticadenosine. Melanocorticadenosine is responsible for the pigment changes that come with melanoma, and its excessive production is believed to be the cause of the spot on the skin known as a tan.
Both procedures are done under general anesthesia and are carried out by dermatologists who specialise in this type of cosmetic surgery. Most doctors use a prescription cream before administering melanoma or intramuscular injections so that you can be sure that there will be no adverse side effects occurring later on. Melanotan treatment is most effective if used early enough and in its most basic form, the procedure is simply a shielding of the skin from the harmful effects of the UV light that reaches our earth's surface. Melanotan helps to prevent melanin production by helping the skin absorbs the UV rays before they have time to reach the epidermis.
What Really Happens When Japanese Scientists Produce Medicines?
Melanotan II has been in use since at least the 1970s and is known to be one of the best hormones to use to treat hormonal dysfunctions such as hypopigmentation of skin-darkening pigments or melasma. It has been mainly used as an oral medication, but it also acts well as a cream, gel, and liquid, which can be applied topically to the skin for treating such dysfunctions as age spots or melasma. While clinical trials have recently begun on melatonin's efficacy as a natural hormone, there are certain doubts on its efficacy as a bleaching agent because of its ability to stimulate platelet adhesion and aggregation. Also, although Melanotan II has been found to be effective in promoting the growth of new cells, it has not been found to be efficient in inhibiting the proliferation of existing cancer cells.
Melanotan is a naturally occurring hormone that is made by the tyrosinase in the body which helps in the production of melanin. Melanotan II is an artificial analog of the natural peptide hormone, melanoid, that increases sexual desire and stimulates melanization in the body. This hormone is found in large quantities in the dermis layer of skin, hair, brain, and heart. Melanotan II does not cause any side effects and is used by both men and women to treat such conditions as acne, enlarged breasts, acne scars, dark underarms and rosacea.

LETTERS FROM AN AMERICAN

We’re leveraging the systems that are known, and that work here in the United States.” Azar assured Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace that, as soon as the vaccines were approved, the government would be shipping them “to all of the states and territories that we work with.
The spike in infections along with the fallout from holiday gatherings means we will see high cases in January and high death tolls in February.

SO! i have been asked to give advice a couple times by a couple different writers in fandom who are cis and want to know how to/if it’s okay to write trans characters, so here’s my take and a few pieces of advice. it’s gonna be a little long lol
to answer the question “can cis writers write trans characters?”
Y E S
i would personally love it, and i know other trans people who would also love it, if more cis writers wrote trans characters. the only limitation that i’d ever put on this is to say that i wouldn’t want to see a cis writer writing about trans self-discovery or a Trans Journey bc... i mean... those are our stories to tell, y’know?
generally most of the trans people i know feel the same way. we want to see ourselves in stories, even if we’re not the main characters. we want to know that you see us and think us worth writing about. representation matters.
but if you’re writing a story about female friendship and you wanna make one of those women trans? please do bc we need more normalized representation. seeing these really intense Trans Journey stories is great, it is, but it feels one-note when it’s like.... practically the only thing we ever see.
wanna write a story about brotherhood and the bonds of found family and male friendship? make a dude trans! he’s a dude! who’s trans!
quick advice for writing trans men:
not all trans men bind. i don’t. i have a triple D chest, so yeah it’s kind of obvious that i have tits. with the full beard it can be a confusing look lmao. your trans male character doesn’t have to bind, and it doesn’t have to be bc he’s had top surgery, or because he’s flat chested. some of us just don’t want to have the damage done to our bodies that binding can and will do if done consistently enough for long enough.
not all trans men use packers, which are prosthetics made to give a bulge where trans guys don’t have one.
trans men can top lol. it isn’t just skinny cis women using strap-ons, and a guy can cum using a harness bc of where it sits. also, emotionally, that shit is fantastic (speaking from personal experience).
if you’re writing erotica, then be aware that some trans guys are okay with the word clit, some aren’t. this is more of a stylistic choice on the part of the writer, but if you’re using AFAB language for trans male genitals then make a note bc for some men that’s legitimately triggering. personally, i’m fine w/ my vagina, he’s a chill dude.
testosterone doesn’t make you taller, and it won’t make your character taller either lol. physical changes from T are increased muscle mass, changes in fat distribution on the body, voice drop, hairline receding around the temples, facial and body hair growth for some (takes 6+ months usually), clitoral growth, some men experience vaginal dryness some don’t, in the beginning there’s an increased sex drive which tends to even out once T levels are stable, since it’s basically a second puberty a lot of trans guys do get acne, hair can become coarser over time texture wise, and tends to thin
testosterone is administered via injection or with androgel which is topical, generally. if you want to write about a guy giving himself his T, then he’s probably on a weekly or bi-weekly injection schedule at home, or he’s using androgel which is daily and gets rubbed into the skin and has to dry fully. there’s no option right now to take testosterone orally that i know of. there’s also the option for a 3-month dose of testosterone to be given via injection, but it’s always done by a nurse and every trans guy i’ve talked to who’s had it has said they can’t even sit down for an hour afterward bc it’s injected into the ass and it hurts like a motherfucker. however it’s also only once every 3 months. personally i don’t mind my wee thigh shot lol.
if anyone has more specific questions for writing trans male characters send me an ask and i’ll be glad to help
full disclaimer that i’m not a trans woman, but here’s some advice for writing trans women based on what i’ve heard from them:
unlike with T, where trans men can basically just start T and begin the process of a testosterone-based puberty, trans women first have to go on T blockers so that their T levels drop to where they should be for a woman, then they go on estrogen, which is usually??? a pill (not dissimilar to birth control)
when trans women have been on estrogen for long enough they can have multiple orgasms like any other woman, which is a pretty nifty perk
loss of muscle mass is common
breast growth happens differently for everyone, but breasts become more sensitive and as they grow a lot of women can experience some tenderness, and if the chest is struck/prodded that tenderness can be painful. (as someone who naturally developed breasts as a teen, i remember fucking crying when someone hit me in chest once bc everything was so sensitive)
trans women have natural hormone cycles and can experience period-like symptoms! so yeah! a trans woman can wake up and be >:( and have mood swings!
the penis and balls will shrink over time on estrogen, some trans women stop getting hard, some don’t
some trans women tuck their penises, some don’t
trans women have to make the choice to raise their voices, as most of the effects of testosterone-based puberty cannot be reversed. T thickens the vocal chords, which is what makes a trans guy’s voice drop, but if a trans woman is transitioning after she’s experienced a full T-based puberty, her voice isn’t going to raise. a lot of trans women do vocal training to get used to talking in their head voice versus their chest voice. some even pick out like a celebrity or a character to emulate bc it’s a lot easier when you’ve got a goal to aim for.
facial hair generally doesn’t stop growing. the follicles being active doesn’t change when testosterone levels drop. hair growth can slow, but it’s probably not going to stop entirely without laser hair removal or electrolysis. same with body hair.
hair texture can change, though, and become softer over time
if any trans women followers want to add to this feel free :D
your character might not have IDs that match up w/ their identity. having your government docs changed can be a pain in the ass depending on where you live, and a lot of places require some kind of surgery as “proof” which is bullshit but... y’know, it happens.
big thing to remember: not all trans people want surgery. not all trans people fall into the gender binary. the way i define being trans is that your gender doesn’t match what you were assigned at birth. that’s it. i consider non-binary people transgender bc. y’know. they fucking are. not all of them want to ID that way or feel like they can, but if they do then i fully welcome them bc they’re my people.
i think cis writers can feel like it’s a taboo or a no-go to write trans characters bc “well what if i do it wrong” and i think it comes down to being really caught up in the fact that the character is trans, rather than them just being a trans character. like. here’s my day as an out, transitioning trans man:
i wake up between 6am and 7am, i dick around on my phone, i let my dogs out, feed them, have breakfast, go to work, eat lunch, work more, come home, eat dinner, dick around on my phone more, go to bed. repeat. my weekends consist of writing, primarily, and watching stuff on netflix. and every other sunday i give myself an injection of testosterone into my thigh. every couple months i see my endocrinologist and maybe have a blood test.
diabetics have a more rigorous schedule than i do, health-wise.
me being trans is part of who i am, a defining part even, but it’s not all i am. if someone were to write a story about my life and make it all about me being trans, they’d first be ignoring like... the first 25 years of my life, but also everything that happens to me in between these big transition milestones.
not everything with trans people is about being trans. sometimes it’s about being bored. or wanting to play video games.
on another personal note, some of the signs that i was trans weren’t very obvious. they make a lot of sense in hind sight (like when i was 4 and told my mom i was going to wear a suit to prom, or when i was 5 and told my dad that my husband was taking my last name bc that just seemed how shit should work to me) but at the time they were just these small, weird little quirks that no one saw as anything more.
in fandom a lot of our stories tend to veer toward the romantic or erotic, so let me just say that you don’t need to write about dysphoria or remark on the topic within the story. i know this is a sticking point for a lot of cis writers bc most of them haven’t experienced dysphoria so they don’t know how to write it. good news is you don’t have to, a trans person can be happy with their body, especially if they’re far enough along in their transition, and it can just be a smutty, smutty story about people fucking lol.
this is a really loose guide w/ very loose bits of advice and seriously if anyone ever wants to ask more specific questions or my opinion you can DM me or send an ask on or off anon and i’ll be glad to offer any help i can

Is SARMs Worth the Investment?
A novel class of androgen receptor ligands are selective androgen receptor modulators or SARMs. They are meant to have the same effects as androgenic drugs, but they are much more selective in their action so that they can be used for more applications than the relatively limited legitimate uses of anabolic steroids
It's like trying to tweak a microchip with a sledgehammer using steroids to raise the hormones. Steroids help you build muscle by increasing testosterone, resulting in increased protein synthesis in your cells, muscle building, and fat burning. That's called the steroid's anabolic side, and it's good. But, steroids come with a lot of side-effects.
That’s when SARMs come into the picture. These are much more stable than steroids, boasting anabolic-to-androgenic ratios from 3:1 to 90:1. This means you can still get muscle growth and loss of weight, but SARMs will not give you man boobs or make you the bearded lady. You can also orally take SARMs. No injection need.
So, let’s tell you about 3 different types of SARMs that you can use per your needs. And, we will also tell you how to stack some quality SARMs for post-cycle therapy, commonly known as PCT.
SARMs for Women
You may have heard a lot about steroids and their replacements, such as prohormones and SARMs. Most think that these drugs are only for men who aim to bulk up. But, there are a few SARMs which if taken under guidance can really help women.
Usually, women on SARMS look to gain benefits such as improved libido, stamina, bone preservation (to combat osteoporosis), balancing LDL and HDL rates compared to each other. At the same time, they seek to avoid harmful side effects such as damage to the liver or virilization effects that may carry undesirable characteristics such as facial hair or beard.
Read more about it.
Tumblr media
Some well-known SARMs for women are Ostarine, Cardarine, and Andarine. Cardarine is one of the best women's SARMs, especially when you're dealing with fat that's stubbornly sitting around your waist and belly. Although it's known as a SARMS, it's not actually one because it's design and it's quite different from your usual SARM. It is a PPAR agonist, and instead of binding to androgenic receptors as SARMs do, it binds to PPAR receptors. The advantage of this is that it is not a stimulant.
SARM Ostarine
If you want to develop lean muscle with minimal side effects, Ostarine is your ideal choice as a female. This helps remove fat and improve density of the bone. This SARMs, also known as one of the best female SARMs, has a very mild formulation that makes it excellent for women.
Typically, you lose both fat and muscle on a diet to cut weight. Ostarine, however, helps you achieve your goal of fat loss without giving up your lean muscle as well.
The key benefit we can expect from Ostarine users is faster lean mass gain. This compound should activate the androgen receptors to encourage better and faster growth of lean muscle mass. You should start with doses of around 10 to 20 mg per day for the best results. You could increase the dose to 30 mg per day if your sensitivity is fairly good. That's as high as any lady would suggest. Anything that goes beyond that will only expose you to more threats than it helps you.
For about eight weeks, every Ostarine cycle can go. Then you can take a break of 4 weeks before you begin another cycle. Since repression is not a problem among users of women, PCT is not usually required.
SARM RAD 140
Testolone induces anabolic processes in your skeletal muscles by manipulating androgen receptors. Skeletal muscles, like your biceps, pectoral muscles, deltoid, and so on, are the ones you can readily command. These are essentially the muscles you activate when exercising, plus the ones on the arms.
RAD140 does not taste and, like any other SARM, does not convert to DHT. This SARM is the go-to drug for improved workouts, with all the positive benefits that steroids provide and almost non-e of the negative ones. Higher levels of testosterone should allow more muscle strength to be applied and maintained during cutting. Since most of us are scheduling our workouts on bulking and cutting cycles, this article will provide a short tutorial for both of them to use RAD140.
Perhaps Testolone is the best and safest SARM on the market. Use Testolone, you can predict the same results as those you can get from a Dianabol cycle, without all the horrific side effects.
SARM Ligandrol
SARMs such as Ligandrol are more tissue-selective, meaning they can target specific muscle and bone tissues. Steroids bind to all receptors of androgen, including those in the liver, prostate, and sebaceous glands.
For this reason, long-term use of steroids has been linked with many dangerous side effects: increased risk of prostate cancer, damage to the kidneys and liver, osteoporosis. And as steroids also influence the levels of estrogen in the body, even short-term use can result in acne, hair loss, bloating, and increased blood pressure. Plus, one can consume it as a pill.
LGD-4033 is dose-specific, so with higher doses you get better results. When for the very first time you are taking LGD-4033 or any SARMs, it is better to start with a small dose of five milligrams per day. You could gradually increase the dosage to 10 milligrams, even though there are reports suggesting women must remain at a 5 milligrams upper limit. This dosage is generally sufficient to improve your performance within a span of 24 to 36 hours.
Post Cycle Therapy (PCT)
The most critical fact to consider is the length and dosage of SARMs course. Those who take SARMs in moderate doses and for a short time may do perfectly well without any post-cycle therapy. Those who take SARMs in high doses for months will need a post-cycle treatment almost always. I
t's a simple reality of how much SARM you're exposed to and how long your footprint will be calculated. SARMs ' pharmacological effects are minimal, but they may have consequences for the short to medium term depending on how high the dose is and how long the course is. Because testosterone would have an effect, a post-cycle therapy focuses mainly on this, and this is more real.
A well-planned post-cycle therapy will be able to restore the normal secretion of all the hormones affected, including the stimuli that the different glands influence the development. Ideally, this post-cycle treatment should be pre-planned. One must not wait to consider the options until the very end of the SARMs process.
Several factors can affect the post-cycle therapy chosen. It will matter the option of SARMs, the course and dose, the person's overall health, the target and the results encountered. Preplanning is important and it is also possible because, depending on course length and dose, post-cycle therapies are prescribed for different types of SARMs.
Decide on which SARMs suit you best and don’t overuse. We hope that this article helps you make the right decisions.

Oc Rose just putting thoughts together. its a lot so a read more my man my dude
So Rose is an older oc of mine, who got revamped for FF7. her tag will be “ #wilted-Rose
When I made her she already had 4 wings so I warped it around and made it fit, along with her back story. Dia isn't here as that causes a bit of a split in timelines. but rose can fit into dias timeline just a few things change.
Pretty much, Mother’s eggs were used Jenova cells used as a sudo sperm. The first baby died, so the mother was removed from the program. Jenova cells lived off of basically mother periods until they were stable enough to fertilize again.
Mother gave birth to Rose, died during birth because 4 wings on the back aren’t too good for a mother in the slums. Either way, word spread fast and Rose was y o i n k e d by Shinra.
Rose was similarly to Sephiroth subjected to tests but hers were less about being soldier and more dealing with Jenova and the Cetra.
Rose was likely housed at head corders and was a slippery little thing, thus interacting with the three musketeers. She basically bonded with them because she’s half Jenova. She has a pretty strong pull.
Angeal was basically a dad/big brother as you’d expect. He’s pretty good at keeping her clam and still dose his long talks of honor and such. Rose sucks it up like a sponge and finds a great deal of interest in his Buster Sword. Calls him Honer, or Ang.
Genesis for a hot while was a bit indifferent but would help in soothing her. He’s been the designated one to sow on small fake flowers to her clothes, it has to be done by him or she cuts them off. Rose will wait for Genesis to return from missions to sow them on, its one of the ways they bonded. Calls him Genny
Sephiroth is more sympathetic, being able to more understand the experiments. Well, he absolutely sucks at showing it Rose gets the idea of what he’s trying. Rose quite enjoys braiding Sephiroth's hair and is quite good at being sneaky about it. Calls him Sephy.
Rose fucken love their eyes. she finds the slight glow of Mako a comfort to find in the dark, and really just likes to look at the detail and shape of Sephys cat eyes due to them being the only pair.
For all three Rose will commonly hide behind them away from her experiments, always having a vague idea where they are. She also made a feathered earring for the three. It’s metal but wrapped around the tip of a long feather, having their nickname etched in on one side and real name on other. Rose got some help from Sima ( @coldhands-shipping )
Speaking of Sima, id thinks she meets her though Genesis but doesn’t really get that they are a pair, just thinks they are close working buddies of sorts. Rose just likes to annoy people and probably off handly mentions she’s making the earrings and Sima may offer to help?
When Genesis yeets off, he probably figures out some way to yoink Rose. (Still working on that) Genesis likely takes her on a whim because of the whole wing thing. Her cells being stable Jenova related ones are (theorized) to halt his degradation process. So him being less than sane pretty much forcefully take Roses cells.
After a while Genesis May see what happens if he puts his cells in Rose, it causes changes like hair color change & wing color change. But it takes a lot, given to much her left eye changes into the same Mako blue as Genesis. She tried to remove it with a fork.
Roses Genes sort of replaces the genes of who they are injected to. If monster it will make a rose copy of sorts if someone with Jenova Genes they will copy those genes. Thus giving Genesis more of his own genes in a way?
Rose absolutely fights Genesis, so she gains a few scars when Genesis has to pretty much hold her down. To him, it’s Life or death so a scar is worth it.
When Rose gets over the Jenova pull is likely towards the end of CC. Her cells want to be near other Jenova cells. but when Genesis is denied by death she follows Zack & Cloud.
She pretty much sticks by Cloud and tries to wake him up. (I like to think she does wake him up, Zack picks to yeet, and lives. Please let my son live.)
She follows Cloud pretty much, even watching Sephiroth die, tho does struggle with also hearing Jenova. She joins Avalanche for a hot moment, maybe about a year before just leaving. (Kinda hard to be put to work when you are half Jenova, and Sephiroth went bat shit)
Rose rose to her own area, someplace deserted. She builds her own farm really. Having a few flowers, fruits and veggies. And her mental health has gone to s h i t
Rose has settled down & is basically trying to slowly kill herself tho it’s a pain. She chops off her wings out of a moment of despair, lives.
“Hi I’m 16 years old and I’m an alcoholic”
Sima will sometimes bug her but Rose will react violently. When Genesis comes around she’s more use to Sima dropping by. Basically, she burns Sima well in a half-drugged dazed. She and Genesis fight, and legit tell Genesis to kill her.
He doesn’t and leaves and she gets back to her farm.
Rose from 20-30 will turn Jenovay, hair turning white, her still brown eye will go green & cat-eyed. Her blue stays the same. She sprouts new wings, that replace her old ones & hurt like hell. But she can hide them which is a plus! They are black but the end feathers are a sort of dusty white
Basically Rose is mega fucked and super salty. Genesis says anything and she can wrap it around to his desperate abuse. Tho in time she will attempt to make up & get better when she’s around 25.
