In hindsight, this quote hits a lot harder considering “Mortyest Morty” isn’t even his Morty. And he’s not the “Rickest Rick”.

Does not include any spoilers for Season 7.

I feel like this quote is slept on a lot because it makes you wonder if he was even aware of the implications of what he said or if he said it knowing Morty wouldn’t understand. I don’t even think he would want to admit it, but he’s not “The Rickest Rick” mainly because he cares. Specifically, he gives a shit about a Morty that isn’t even his.

It’s shown subtlety throughout the show, like in the Season 1 Finale, Ricksy Business, when Rick got teary-eyed over a slide show showing Morty throughout his life. In A Rickle in Time, where Rick is willing to let himself die to save Morty, his last wish is for Morty to grow up better than him. As jaded and backward as he may show it, Rick definitely cares. Rick has had to switch to multiple universes and watch various versions of his family including his original Diana and Beth die throughout the show. Morty was his only constant, though, and he’s grabbed onto that. But for as much as he cares, Rick has a habit of pushing away, which comes into effect in the later seasons. Morty tries to help and relate to Rick to an extend. He constatly extends a branch to Rick, who almost always puts him down.

However, the more Rick pushes away, the more frustrated Morty gets. He starts calling out Rick on his BS and has even cussed him out several times. He’s threatened to stop going with Rick in the early season, but those were practically mute. Rick could easily force him or make him forget he started refusing. Rick only started taking Morty seriously when he began acting out. The more that Rick pushes back, the more the Prime part of Morty comes out, usually at the expense of anyone around him. I think that is the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back and pushed him to leave in Forgetting Sarick Mortshall with the two crows thing. Something that still upsets Morty if someone mentions it in season 7.

It also makes you think that the reason Morty has gotten progressively more aggressive and violent over these past couple of seasons is that the Prime part of him is getting more prominent. For example, in Edge of Tomorty: Rick Die Rickpeat, Morty got so obsessive over a future that he didn't brutally die; he quickly brushed off Ricks's death. It's somewhat out of character for him, though. He also attacked other soldiers and the general populace, just for him to find out it wasn't really worth much. Rick is getting more combative because he sees that part of Prime in Morty, which scares him. The episode Looks Who’s Purging Now was the starting point for his volatile behavior; Rick seems genuinely shocked and somewhat horrified as Morty's anger problems get the better of him, and he lashes out, killing many people even when they are hiding. Rick lied to Morty because he didn’t want him to know what he could do. Near the end of The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy, Morty threatens Ethan with the machine Summer used after he ghosted her and messed with her body issues. In the after credit scene, we see a deformed Ethan stumbling in pain, implying Morty used the machine on him.

In Promortyus, Morty also showed little remorse for killing off all the aliens and went out of his way to cause damage, though he regretted it once he had to come back. A Rickconvenient Mort, Jerry was genuinely disturbed to hear Morty admit he murdered the Tina-Teers. And during the scene, Morty was extremely brutal. Its not the first time Morty has committed some diabolical crimes for someone he's interested in or generally cares about. In the episode Mort Dinner Rick Andre, his violent streak hits its crescendo. Once he got fed up with the Narnia people, he committed mass genocide out of frustration, and by the end, he didn't show much remorse.

I think the most damning evidence is the episode Rickshank Redemption, where during a stand-off, Morty is so fed up with Rick yelling at him during a standoff that he shoots Rick in the head. Not an arm or leg but in the forehead. He absolutely shot to kill. And yeah, you could say it was a spur-of-the-moment action based on frustration and impulse, but I think that was put in the episode not just a funny bit but a glimpse of what Morty is capable of. It was Morty basically saying "If were all going to die, Ive earned the right to be the one to take you out." There’s something symbolical about Morty killing both his best friend and the person that’s hurt him for years.

Its an interesting dichotomy as Rick seems to be mellowing out; Morty is slowly getting more comfortable with violence and generally more confident with himself. Rick is someone who gives off the bravado of a uncaring, cold hearted galactic criminal. However, the truth is Rick is someone who cares deeply for the people he's close to, and gets no enjoyment out of violence. Morty, on the other hand, is someone who tries to be caring, mercy full and forgiving. That being said, deep down he wants to stop having to constantly take the high road and give back all the pain and abuse he gets from others. These personality traits between the two constantly clash and the longer the live together, the more you see their original persona's corrode.

The season six finale, Ricktional Mortpoon's Rickmas Mortcation, adds to this as Rick compares Morty to a “suicide bomber” because he was reckless and says he gets that from Prime. But C-137 is the only constant in Morty's life. He’s been through multiple universes and timelines but has had the same Rick for most of his life. Most of Morty's issues stem from things he had done or witnessed with Rick C-137. For example, the Vat of Acid Episode is what I would consider Rick at his absolute lowest. It's almost the kinda behavoir you would expect Prime to pull. Messing with Morty's head and killing a bunch of other Mortys just to say, "I told you so." Even going as far as gaslighting him by saying he COULD have listened to Rick tell him how it worked, even though Rick probably wouldn't have told him either way. It caused communication between these two to break down. At that point, you can tell Morty doesn't have much trust or faith in him, and when Rick replaces himself with a robot that treats him just a little bit better, Morty immediately notices. He even thought Rick was messing with him and brought up the vat of acid episode. This is another example of how the Ricks action leaves permeate consequences and effects on Morty. Don't get me wrong, Morty is far from perfect and flawed, but so is Rick. They have real emotions and conflict, and it's these factors that separate them from Prime (at least from the glimpses of him that we have seen)

However, Morty does exhibit certain traits unlike what we've been lead to believe is normal "Morty" behavior. In Rickmurai Jack, Morty tries to lie to Rick and even goes as far as to age himself nearly 40 years to get him to come back. Another example is in The Whirly Dirly Conspiracy, Where Morty coaxes Rick into going on an adventure with Jerry to keep him from committing seppuku, though there's a good chance it was just to get a break from adventures. Rick can’t really blame most of Morty's behavior on Prime because any behavior he picks up past season one is from him and him alone. But even then I don’t doubt that there are behavioral similarities between him and Rick Prime. The Prime universe was everyone’s personality amplified.

Rick almost likes to pretend his the top dog, the Rickest Rick but as few others, including Bird Person and the toxic version of himself, has pointed out, he’s not. He’s highly capable but he’s also vulnerable. Season 6 ended with Rick getting Morty more involved in the search for Prime, forcing him to face the truth of Mortys origin. But regardless one thing is for certain, Morty is really the Mortyest Morty in the finite central curve, and that scares C-137.

GUYS GALS AND NONBINARY PALS!! I saw a thing that Horikoshi said at a panel of some sort about revealing Izuku’s dad as a spoiler! .0.

And here’s the thing, he said something along the lines of “revealing who his dad is” rather than “introducing his dad” SO DOES THAT MEAN WE ALREADY MET HIS DAD AND WE JUST DONT KNOW????

That led me to think: okay. Well who could be his real dad? My first thought was AFO, but then I thought of All Might.

Here me out on All Might:

Todoroki had put together a whole fucking conspiracy theory of All Might being Izuku’s dad. It would be hilarious if it turned out he was right and at the end he just is like- giving himself a pat on the back like- “I knew it!”

But no, in reality, I’m almost 100% sure it’s AFO. Here are my reasons.

1: AFO when we meet him looks like a wrinkled thumb. He looked like that after All Might beat his ass. All Might also came out looking like shit. But at least he still had a face and hair!

So if you think of it, Izuku doesn’t know what AFO looked like before! But now, I’m the manga, he’s looking younger because of a quirk!!

So my thought is, when he gets to Izuku, will he be so young at that point that Izuku recognizes him as his dad? 0-0

2. We never saw Izuku’s dads face or hair color. AFO and OFA have white hair. And Izuku has green hair because of his mom. But that doesn’t mean his dad doesn’t have white hair! And it’s important to remember if it were really nothing, they wouldn’t have hidden his face!! It was always meant to be a reveal at some point!

3. OFA is quirkless. Or at least, thought he was. It turned out he did have a quirk it just was a stockpiling quirk or whatever.

But what if Izuku is the same? That’s why he was able to get ALL of the OFA’s previous powers! Because he’s blood related to the first user! And if he wasn’t quirkless this whole time like he thought? What if he had a similar quirk to the first user??? They just couldn’t detect it!!

4. The toe joint. Oh my god. It was mentioned ONCE in the series TO Izuku. And never to anyone else! It was never spoken of after that!! And we know the doctor who diagnosed him quirkless worked with AFO. So what if the doctor recognized that he had a similar quirk to OFA and just lied? He told him he was quirkless and made up some science fact that was complete bs? We haven’t seen X-rays of anyone’s feet besides Izuku. How do we know that all their feet aren’t the same?? And Izuku and his mom were lied to?

And if the toe thing IS true? What if they showed some other kids toe?

Another thing that could connect it is if Izuku DID have a quirk and it was stolen by Garaki. Garaki I’m canon had been producing and studying quirks especially with children if I remember correctly. What if he stole Izuku’s quirk? And going back to the X-Ray, they used a quirkless persons previous X-Ray to lie!!

5. In the manga, at one point, AFO and Garaki were talking about Super Regeneration. A quirk that All for One said he should have gotten sooner. When he said this, at first I didn’t think anything of it. But then, they went on to talk about an unnamed “boy” which seems to imply Izuku!

Kids get their quirk when they’re a few years old. And you don’t know what it is until it manifests. AFO saying he should have gotten the quirk sooner may imply that he knew the person would get the quirk but he just missed his chance or he waited too long to get it. If it was Izuku, doesn’t that mean he knew him before the quirk manifested? Like when he was a baby?

If Izuku had Super Regeneration originally, it could make sense why he gets hurt so easily. His body was meant to be able to heal itself. But now his quirk is gone, he doesn’t have the ability to withstand as much as he should have been able to.

All Might said that the quirk would hurt him, but he didn’t expect it to be difficult for him to use. But I feel like that’s because it’s not his quirk and so it feels wrong for his body to use it.

6. Hisashi Midoriya means “long gone” basically. It means a few different things but one of them is long gone. This could mean he left a long time ago, which would match a lot of the story. But it also could mean that the person that was Hisashi Midoriya is long gone and is now someone else.

I believe it also has something to do with “important lineage” or something? I saw somewhere that they were saying how AFO could be his dad because AFO and OFA are kinda important. Their descendants would be important too.

7. Hisashi Midoriya has fire breathing. That’s all we’re really given. But tell me. What if he had more than just fire breathing? If he wanted to hide from All Might, prepare a secret weapon of some kind, he might wanna try to blend in, right? So he reduced himself to one quirk, gave himself a new name, and had a family as coverage. That would make sense, right? Spy X Family has that.

So what if Inko didn’t know that he was AFO? She didn’t know he was a villain? Or maybe she did know and has kept it a secret?

And then when his plan was ready, he says he has to go overseas for business? He leaves the family and they’re none the wiser!

A lot of things that I have noticed throughout the series is that AFO’s identity isn’t really well known. We know the first users name but not AFO. We just know him as All for One. But he must have a real name!

Y’all ever since I heard about that panel, my mind has been going into overdrive! I’ve been thinking up so many theories! I’ve turned into a Todoroki!! Help!!

Lore Olympus Episode 244 Spoilers

And of course the narrative finds a way to twist itself so that Persephone's in the right to disrespect Zeus' decision and take his kid away from him.

Should've seen that coming.

At least I get to see Zeus roasting Persie before he fucks off into the void again.

The way Persephone herself acknowledges that she made a fucking stupid decision right there and completely threw her partner under the bus in the process.

"You have every right to be furious with me right now. Why aren't you angry?"

Because Hades knows if he in any way calls you out or gets mad at you, RS will make him the next antagonist and assassinate his established character to justify it. (Not that there would be much to assassinate in the first place.)

No one's allowed to criticize you in this comic Persie, no worries.

Holy shit, I know we made jokes that Persie only wanted to keep Dyonisus so badly 'cause he's a mini-version of Papa Smurf, but she actually admits that's the case here, I fucking can't. Oh, and also that she once again lied to Hades about something that concerned him just as much as it did her, but that's normal at this point.

"If you want to confiscate Zeus' baby because he's incompetent, I will support you."

Okay, one: Fuck off, Hades. Dyonisus is not a thing that you can take away. But I guess you're used to taking other people's children just because. It's what you did to Demeter.

Second: Sir, you're the last person in the entire fucking multiverse to call someone else's parenting incompetent. Your son is still an emotionally scarred mess to this day because you couldn't be arsed to provide proper child care. At least Zeus was willing to do that. Growing up with nymphs is still leagues above growing up with a guy who shows more affection to his dogs than the small scared child who was abandoned by his mother. Speaking of, said son is still missing btw.

It's gotten to the point where even Persephone admits she's fucking useless as Queen of the Underworld, because RS won't let her develop or be powerful in her own way. Everything about her, down to her very self-esteem is tied to Hades. She can't even go giant on her own, even though Zeus and Hades can. Even though she's supposedly this super-powerful fertility goddess.

RS, lampshading your comic's rushed plot isn't going to magically make it better.

And now they remember Thanatos is still MIA. Just had to prop up Persie's ego a bit first, I guess.

Ares is unironically the best character in this chapter, he's just as annoyed with hxp's bs as I am.

Oh shit, Leuce run! Persie is looking for another poor peasant to torture so she can feel better about herself!

Thoughts on Nightbringer (minor spoilers)

Thoughts on game mechanics:

- Ruri Tunes is so much fun! And I'm loving the remixes of all the characters' songs.

- The difficulty spikes after lesson 4. I went from getting S-ranks to D's in the span of a single lesson. :(

- The hardest part of the game is leveling up cards/drawing the right cards in nightmare. Nightbringer makes me wish I had my old cards from the base game.

- The backgrounds, enemies, etc. are nods to the anime/past events (like Beel's carrot curry and the masked bats). Which is super cute!

-Extreme mode is INSANE.

- It's far easier to get devil points. In daily rewards, you can earn up to twenty points per day.

Lore!

- The game takes place a year after the celestial war ends. The brothers have been under house arrest staying with Diavolo while the HoL was reconstructed.

- The brothers are constantly surprised by Beel's appetite. Which tells me that their sins have been slowly infecting them over the past year.

- Solomon fought off the entire devildom at once??? AND WON???

- Finally, we have more of Luke's backstory! Apparently he was born sometime after the celestial war ended and Nightbringer begins. He could be anywhere from a year to literally like a month old lol.

- Barbatos hates Solomon for some reason. Their conversations are comedy gold. Solomon "can't" remember why his friend hates him because his memories from this time are "foggy." (I call bs)

- Guess who makes the first pact in the game? It's not you - it's Solomon. He forges a pact with Asmo when you're stuck in the maze under Diavolo's castle...which effectively rewrites how the two originally made a pact! Two lessons later, he warns you not to mess with the timeline. Pick a lane.

- Nightbringer (let's be honest, it's Barbatos) is the name of the person who brought us to the devildom. Imo, the name is stupid and Barbatos should never be allowed to name anything, ever.

- We met biblical Adam and he was in hell. For some reason.

Misc. Notes:

- The brothers are kinder to the MC than season one of the base game. I can't tell if it's because they're still acting like angels or because the MC is masquerading as their demonic attendant.

- Seriously I'm at lesson 9 and no one has threatened to kill me yet.

- Ah, cold and distant Lucifer my beloved.  How I've missed you. 😌

- Mammon is a simp in all universes and across all timelines for the MC. I love that for them.

- Leviathan has always been like that™️

- Asmo misses the celestial realm so much he modeled his room after it.

- Belphegor doesn't seem to hate humans as much? I keep expecting him to lesson 16 me at any second.

- MC lied to Diavolo's face, forgetting that one of his cannon powers is that he can detect lies. Guys why are we so stupid. 😔

Today's episode was Revelation, where Lila becomes class rep and Chloè's cheating is outed.

We start with the reveal of Lila's multiple moms. SO immediately stopped the episode and said, "I think I'm done with this show." After I was done laughing, we kept watching. (I did say that we could stop, I'm only watching this for love of him)

We got to the scene where Chloè's cheating is outed and both of us are confused by Marinette's reaction. After hearing that Chloè will need to do extra work to catch up, Marinette gets upset because Chloè doesn't deserve help as if Chloè getting extra work is a privilege that takes resources from others, but it's really not? Or, if it is, they don't explain how. Both my SO and I would have been thrilled if our bullies got outed and was then made to do extra work after years of cheating. Like yes, make her work, please! It's about GD time.

This was followed by lots of ranting about how fake Lila comes across and how stupid the class is and how dumb Hoaxers lies were, which I enjoyed, but it's just preaching to the choir so I'll skip the fine details. Safe to say, the only time Lila's lies working feels realistic is when she's powered up as Hoaxer.

We both have one questions about the Lila as class rep thing: Why in the world would Lila improving Chloe be a legitimate campaign strategy? Why would anyone blame Marinette for not doing that? French schools don't actually expect student representatives to act as counselors for their classmates, right? Because that's utter insanity. We're assuming this bit is as accurate as the reach of Andre's mayoral authority, but please confirm that if you know because it bothers me!

We get to the scene where Nathalie spills Gabriel's secrets to Lila and it's another "we're forcing this for plot reason, not because it makes any sense to the established lore" right up there with the BS way that Ladybug's yo-yo worked in the season four final. Why didn't Gabriel notice this was happening? He's always been fully aware of his akuma's actions before. And why he didn't have Nathalie remove her ring since he was worried about Lila in the exact same episode? Why does Lila retain her consciousness while other akumas don't?

All in all, this is just a generally aggravating piece of television and I didn't even touch on Alya and Nino's writing. STOP MAKING THEM BAD FRIENDS!!!

Fun fact: this was the episode that made me stop watching the subs as they came out. I stopped caring about spoilers and waited for the dub so I could tune out when things got too annoying. I just didn't care anymore.

Spoilers for the VIP story (bs imo) immortal desires 2

The new chapter of ID2 makes me feel like we aren't getting what I see multiple people want between the trio of characters and I will be bummed.

Also I am getting the vibes that there will be some sort of break within the covens. Gabe or Cas (possibly both) would start a coven away from the Venandis and Clements, in Crimson Beech but as a third faction. (Delulu moment •~•) Because it was explained that the fact that Gabe and Cas turned MC, she belongs to both but doesn't? And our choices will determine the coven we fit into. I like it but, I think that there hopefully be a choice to not choose, but knowing pixelberry, they'll force us to choose between the two love interests and kill whichever we don't pick/vice versa. Again hopefully it doesn't come to that because I will definitely rage quit. :\

The two LI working together to protect MC is adorable and I can't for MC to f'ck up some hoes (mainly Lewyn to get his).

ok the last post i reblogged sent me on a minedai spiral and i wrote a massive textpost i didn't actually finish and watched like 30 mins of cutscenes including the whole finale rooftop stuff [yakuza 3 spoilers to follow] and god WHAT THE FUCK I'm actually crying like multiple consecutive tears over fucking. MINE YOSHITAKA. not that he's not worth it but i Did Not Care That Much when i first saw that scene but after spiralling over his emotions i am apparently DEVASTATED. cannot stress enough that i do not cry very often at all. this is a rare event. but it's just so fucking sad. when you know what's happening and what's going to happen and how mine feels the atmosphere is so fucking miserable and mournful. god. fuck. the way he looks at kiryu when he's like what are you going to do to daigo you bastard. THE GUILT THE HESITATION. HE'S NOT WELL. the love of his LIFE got hurt under his protection and he is NOT HANDLING IT WELL HE'S HANDLING IT SO FUCKING BADLY that he's decided to kill him because he's basically dead and he can't stand waiting for the other shoe to drop. he's losing his mind over this he's actually losing his entire purpose and ideology and he's fucking. gay as hell. and the way he says "oh yeah you know how it was growing up as an orphan. no one trusted or loved me. i had nothing" when, frankly, kiryu DIDNT have it that bad. but he did lose those people, one of whom's death has a striking resemblance to mine's in a minute. idek how i wanna unpack that rn. like he just assumes it's universal and it's not. but if they grew up in the same circumstances who's to say kiryu wouldn't have ended up like him? and when he collapses after the fight and his secretary calls him and he tries to open up to her about the shallow but meaningful (to lonely ass mine) relationship they have and she starts talking about stock exchange bs and he's like kiryu do you ever feel like your world is falling apart around you. he's been worried sick he's been agonizing he almost killed his dead beloved chairman. and the way daigo uses the same gun mine used to shoot at kiryu and was gonna use to kill him to save mine and kiryu. how his first lines are that he's not ready to die yet. how mine cowers and falls to his knees when daigo wakes up. fuckkk dude. and how mine starts all rational and explanatory and calm in tone and when kiryu starts pressing him he starts freaking the fuck out and when daigo wakes up he finally has a mournful tone. him saying he doesn't deserve to live but not admitting he betrayed daigo. he never even told him he loved him, as far as we know. (god the fact that it still manages to be devastating even with richardson's CHOICE acting and daigo's coma trickshot is insane.) and how he tells kiryu he hates those who always try to help others even when that's the trait that drew him to daigo, and when he lets kiryu help him (read: beat a moral into him) he wishes he'd met him sooner, as if the belief that there wasn't only one person who could care about him would have saved him has set in, as if he realizes now that he never accepted help and that's why he was wrong about those do-gooders, and that perhaps he was wrong about them and himself, that it wasn't because they were lying to him or because he was unlikable, but that he did not let them in. because that's literally what's happening. AND I FUCKING. FORGOT DAIGO ASKS KIRYU IF MINE WAS THE TRAITOR AFTER HE WATCHES HIM FUCKING KILL HIMSELF AND KIRYU SAYS NO HE WOULD NEVER BETRAY YOU. HE LIES TO COVER HIS ASS BECAUSE HE UNDERSTANDS HOW BROKEN HE WAS ABOUT THIS AND CANT BEAR TO RUIN HIS IMAGE IN THE EYES OF THE ONE PERSON MINE REALLY CARED ABOUT, REALLY LOVED. FUCKS SAKE.

EDIT: Took out the part about them not mentioning her disability since Bot does say that they wouldn't want Cabby to forget iirc, also about them not thinking kids would understand disability since I wasn't happy with those points and I feel they were inaccurate or somewhat off-topic. Anyways, to my main points: Bot just says they're sorry for... forcing Cabby to get permission to use her files?

What about them lying to Cabby? I don't believe they ever really apologized for that. OR TOLD HER THAT THEY LIED??

I don't think bot ever really takes full accountability for judging Cabby either. No one does really. Like... at least an

"I'm sorry. I really screwed up, and so did a lot of the other contestants. We were too harsh and judgmental towards you for no reason, and our insecurities shouldn't have gotten in the way of you being able to remember. This was supposed to be a fun and welcoming environment and vacation... but it became a nightmare for you instead. I know this won't make up for all the damage done, but I hope this file is useful to you."

(maybe reworded some to fit Bot's personality better, but the apology shouldn't have just been this quick one-off moment taken to the side like in canon.)

To kinda add to the above, I also think it would've been nice if Bot fully noticed and acknowledged HOW other people haven't been treating Cabby very kindly too by giving examples of where nobody stood up for her. Lifering was a great supportive person in the episode, but Bot was there for some of the shit that was pulled against Cabby, ESPECIALLY in episode 7. I so wish that that was acknowledged here. And the fact that Test Tube went directly behind Cabby's back to do that. Where does Bot think Test Tube got those files from?

There's also the fact that Test Tube never approaches to apologize for judging Cabby for no reason. Like she just stares at Cabby and Bot hugging for a few seconds after Bot apologizes that's it. And she... doesn't accuse Cabby. That's the barest fucking minimum she could've done.

Also... the "inaccurate depictions" thing wasn't even true outside of Baseball's file... and that was a bunch of contrived bs. Like Suitcase literally had this whole thing where she stood up to Nickel and I guess... Cabby glossed over that somehow??? I can't suspend my disbelief this much sorry all. Idk where the "Manipulated by Balloon" shit came from. Correct me if I'm wrong bcus I haven't seen season 2.

The only reason why it was inaccurate with Bot is because Cabby thought Bot was Bow, something Cabby IMMEDIATELY corrected herself on. Bot coulda just... reminded Cabby that it wasn't her fault because she didn't know Bot and Bow were two different objects and told Cabby to just... start a new file like others said??? So that shit didn't make sense.

The apology just... kinda feels shallow. Cabby didn't do anything wrong here. She's beaten herself up over this shit. It just hurts to watch.

Bot only really apologized for a single thing and we don't get any acknowledgement towards the lying or the mistreatment or Cabby destroying Bow's file as some sort of garbage symbolism attempt.

Bot's apology was kinda supposed to tie everything together and top everything off nicely in a better and at least slightly more satisfying way than whatever the fuck 14 did, but it just... doesn't. It barely acknowledges the issues. They don't really show how seriously they screwed up with Cabby.

I wanna believe that AE has the best intentions here, but they're on very thin ice in my eyes. If they screw up any next steps with Cabby and/or never address Cabby's issues with Test Tube ever again, I think I'm done having any kind of faith in AE. Even Cabby winning wouldn't save it.

What's the deal with DTI anyway??

Lol Newcomers are like WTF is going on here? lol

DTI, or Delaying the Inevitable, was a LONG series I wrote when I first came to the fandom. It was an Ethan x Casey x Tobias triangle that became a bit controversial because (spoilers below)

I had Casey end up with Tobias. lol Ethan stans were displeased and I got aaa lllooottt of hate anons at the time. Back then, I cared, today I am like 🤷🏻‍♀️.

My initial plan was to write 3 endings, one where she chose Ethan, one where she chose Tobias, and one where she moved away from Boston, leaving both men behind. But as the story progressed, I realized having her take Ethan back after what transpired in the story did not make sense for my character, but more importantly, I got a ton of anons from women who either left or were considering leaving emotionally abusive relationships thanking me for writing the story. I was also (HORRIFYING) getting anons saying Ethan could do anything and Casey should forgive him because he was “damaged.” In the year of our Lord 2024?! (Well it was 2021 then, but same thing.) 😂 yeah, the feminist, girl power chick in me was like oh fuck no.

I am very proud of the story because all the main characters went throw growth, change, and came out better on the other side… but Casey picked Tobias. And some people are still not happy. lol

2024 Elsa is all, oh well. 😂

Honestly, I am just shocked that it is still thought of 3 years later. I am kind of proud of that.

Oh, and for the record, I am not an Ethan hater at all. The fandom’s BS Ethan discourse has soured me a bit, but I don’t hate Ethan. I think he is an incredibly complex character and, handled correctly, makes a great LI and for delicious storytelling. But in DTI, he crossed too big a line and he was not ending up w the girl. I said what I said. lol

Mr. Nash Is Growing On Me

SEASON 2 Finale Spoilers!

UNPOPULAR OPINION ALERT:

There are many things I like about William, but his male ego is getting on my nerves. When Eliza proposes William come work for her, I’ll admit it was ill advised. His personality would no more allow him to be subservient than hers would. However for him to fly off the handle about how degrading it would be was WAY too far. 

It is her business, she has proven herself at least his investigative equal in a world that always tilts in his favor as a male and a police officer. Additionally accusing her of making the offer to further her ambitions was disgusting. He should know her well enough to realize this is her clumsy way of trying to keep him in her life. It is especially not a good look in an episode with Mr. Nash.

I know the name of the show. I know if anyone is ending up together it is William and Eliza. I know they need to keep the “will they/won’t they” tension. HOWEVER I hope they know what they are doing Nash, because I tell you right now that the man is growing on me for a number of reasons:

1) He respects her skills

On the first case he plants a spy and passes of her conclusions as his own. That shows great trust in her intelligence. When he gets shot she’s his first choice of investigator rather than his own people, one of the other agencies, or the police. 

2) He doesn’t get upset when she bests and/or insults him

When she turns his double cross against him or tricks him into paying her more, he seems to admire her more for it. He does not get angry when she insults him. On the contrary, he likes that she is the only one that does it to his face.  

3) He admires her ambition

In fact he calls it part of the “holy trinity.” He isn’t threatened by it and doesn’t shame her for it.

4) He is adaptable

When Eliza rejects Nash’s first employment offer, he adjusts and re-pitches. Much better than say slamming one’s foot down. Quite the contrast to William who tends to dictate terms and expects to be obeyed. See the lack of counteroffer in the “work for me” proposal. 

5)  His methods are similar to Eliza’s

Eliza is an ends justify the means type of girl. She lies, sneaks, steals, and manipulates her way to success. She has little regard for the law. Same is true of Nash. William by contrast is beholden to procedure. He likes rules and governable systems. He tends tackles things head-on.

6) He is as sharp as Eliza

2x06 proves he is not a hack, given that he clocked the shooter with even more detail than Eliza recalled.

7) He does not seem to want a traditional homelife 

William I think wants children and an sanctuary away from the cares of work life. Nash, on the other hand, I get the sense he eats and breathes his business. Those type of people tend to be less child focused. I think the most Nash would want in life is someone to care and someone to trust.   

8) He can consider her opinions without either dismissing them or being ruled by them

This is in reference to the cane exchange, though I may be reading into it. He doesn’t immediately throw her choice into the bin once out she’s out of earshot. He stops, ponders and then decides to go with his first instinct. 

9) She “makes him want to be a fairer man”

This is pretty close to the classic romantic quote “You make me want to be a better man.” Furthermore its not BS, given his choices to not blame her for being shot and letting her keep the money. 

10) He appreciates her care

Unlike others that could be mentioned, who tend to question her affection whenever she does something that displeases him. Such men might, say, throw embroidered handkerchiefs into the trash in a fit of pique.

No,but the amount of insane theories that fandom comes up with in order to minimise her character or make it all about R is frankly gross. There’s loving your ship and there’s racism.Like N is the only character D spends time with after they go hunting for Aemond. Prior to that he does nothing (ignoring B&C for a second🤢)but stay at Harrenhal then help take KL so then wanting their relationship to be misunderstanding or some other BS means D will get no character development whatsoever.D/R stans argue this or that is romantically coded in their relationship but when it comes to him and N suddenly it’s all lies and slander and their whole relationship (whatever it is)is made to be all about D/R drama. It’s like a restart of how GOT treated J/B but in this case it would be worse since Netty is a WOC who would be getting rejected in favour of blood purity that D*emyra represents and this fandom apparently wants that.😤 It’s funny really how most of them claim to be Daemon stans because he would kill anyone who talked about N the way they do.

I’m already gearing up because I know when they cast Nettles 👩🏾🐑🐉 and when the actual show airs again it’s gonna turn into a blood bath. Lol. No you are right these theories are out of control.

I get hating a ship cause I literally hate Daemyra (sorry not sorry, I feel that the ship is garbage 🤷🏽‍♀️), but that’s my personal opinion.

I’m not trying to go out of my way to delegitimize canon and it’s pretty obvious that Daemon and Nettles were a thing in books. The amount of back flipping(these stans should try out for the Olympics lol) I’ve seen to say that somehow they weren’t romantically involved is gold medal worthy 🥇

Literally every source claims that they were likely lovers. Even the maester who claims that Daemon saw Nettles as his daughter goes on to say that they bathed together. No one is bathing with their 17 year old daughter. Nettles was not an invalid. She could bathe herself. I know that this fandom is insane, but use your brain for five seconds 🫠

Rhaenyra at this time was basically loosing her ever loving mind. Spoilers ahead for anyone who hasn’t read the book

Rhaenyra orders Nettles execution cause she thought Daemon was sleeping with someone who she saw as beneath him.

Mind you this is the same woman who was okay with her husband sleeping with a literal Valyrian prostitute (Mysaria), but she drew the line at Nettles cause she thought she was a common witch who had somehow bewitched(pun intended) Daemon.

Cause there was no way her pure blooded Valyrian husband would ever stoop so low as to sleep/fall in love with someone who has no Valyrian blood 🫠Daemon could sleep with all the whores he wanted but the moment he fell in love(cause let’s be honest here I’m pretty sure she suspected Daemon loved Nettles) with someone else she went berserk.

Daemon could have easily flown back to King’s Landing to reassure his beloved wife that he only saw Nettles as his daughter. Even the Targs drew a line at parent child incest so I’m pretty sure Rhaenyra would have understood once he reassured her.

Rhaenyra was literally loosing kids left and right and her reign was going poorly. Knowing that the love of her life was there for her and would always be by her side would have done wonders for her slowly depleteing sanity. But does he do that? Hell no!

Instead this man went out of his way to make sure Nettles was safe and away from harm. He does not follow the wishes of the love of his life. He had a touching last night/morning with Nettles and then leaves for a suicide mission. Didn’t even say good bye to Rhaenyra or nothing. He just left.

Lol and the fact that these people make Rhaenyra out to be a “feminist icon” is just laughable. This heifer was only out for herself. She wouldn’t even help out a noble woman who wanted the “Rhaenyra treatment”(that’s what I’m gonna call it).

She told that woman to hang up and lose her number because younger sons come before their older sisters in the line of succession. Rhaenyra was an exception to the laws of the land. Everyone else has to follow the rules except our beloved Targaryen Queen!👸🏼

I was never into Jaime and Brienne, but I can see how their ship parallels Daemon and Nettles. I also see how Rhaenyra parallels Cersei, but I actually like Cersei(at least show Cersei, Lena Headey did an amazing job). Show Rhaenyra is like Cersei w/o the personality. Book Rhaenyra isn’t much better.

Like you said it’s gonna be worse cause Nettles is Black/Blackish so that adds an extra layer of vitriol.

These stans can not self insert themselves into Nettles so by default they want her gone. Which is why they are so willing to have her replaced with Rhaena cause she’s Blackish too so it will do!

Daemon’s last arc is basically Nettles. Putting Rhaena in her place will not work. Rhaena has her own story anyway. The fact that they want to replace such a pivotal character cause they don’t like how it will affect their ship is bonkers.

I won’t say they aren’t Daemon stans, but they are a specific type. These stans are first and formost Daemyra self insert fans. If it’s not Daemyra they don’t want any parts of it/Daemon.

Gather around my fellow Ayber stans for today our suffering comes to an end.  For months, the writers pushed an ugly crack ship down our throats and we were forced to watch so many disgusting scenes. I had an aytrash stan lurking on this blog and for two months I received so many asks making fun of Ayber which I deleted but that ends today! Raise your glasses full of all 5 aytrash stans tears 🥂 and let’s celebrate our babies getting back together🥳 

After Omer learned that Ahmet is his father, he was so sad. Omer said he had one father and it was Vali. Omer mentioned his father's name and Berk was at the party so I am guessing he heard him and he might put two and two together when he watches that cursed video on his dad’s phone.

Leyla heard Oglucan talk about the bet and asked Berk if he brought her to the party because of that. Berk denied it but in the end he told her that she also wanted to go out with him because of Susen and Omer. Leyla asked him what was the prize for the bet and he said that it was money so she slapped him. She said she's not going to tell Tolga.

The next day at school, Afra poured water on Sarp's face because of what he did to her at the party. Sarp told her that Oglucan lied and that there wasn't any bet and Berk lied and said that Sarp was right. After Afra left, Berk told Sarp that they should stop the bet but Sarp said that he wants to continue. Berk couldn’t' tell him that Leyla knew about the bet.

Later, Berk saw Leyla in the corridor. Berk apologized to her and told her that he didn't tell Sarp that she knew about their bet. Leyla was hoping that he didn't tell him. Leyla and Tolga are saving money to get out of their father's house and while Tolga is working at the restaurant Leyla is not working but she was hoping to tutor some students. Unfortunately, no one has called her yet. So, she told Berk that she will help Berk win the bet against Sarp and he will give her half the prize money. Berk was surprised at first but then he agreed. 

During the break, Berk asked Leyla if she was sure about her decision and whether she was trying to trick him. She told him that her brother and her needed the money. Then she saw Sarp looking at them so she started laughing and acting like she was having fun with Berk. She touched his hair and he was like what are you doing??

She said that Sarp is looking at them, so he understood and started laughing. 

At that moment, Aybike came to school and saw them. She looked shocked. Berk and Leyla didn’t see her.

Later in the evening, Aybike and Asiye were sitting together in Aybike’s room. Aybike told Asyie that she saw Berk and Leyla at school and they were so close. Asiye told her: "so you got jealous?". Aybike told her that she wasn't jealous because she ended things with Berk. Asyie told her that she probably misses Berk and Aybike kept on denying it. Even Asiye saw through her BS. She was like okay if you say so 😂

The next day, Sarp wanted to humiliate himself so Afra can forgive him and he can continue the bet. So he went to the costumes room at school and dressed up as a clown. This is the freaking clown spoiler, it was about Sarp. This was a dumb plot twist. He came to the class dressed as a clown so Afra can see him.

Leyla texted Berk: "This show is because of the bet right? You guys are really disgusting!"

Berk texted back: "I agree! We are!"

Aybike saw Berk texting Leyla and she got jealous. 

After class, Leyla asked Berk if they were going to lose the bet after Sarp's clown show and Berk said that if Sarp continue like this then he will definitely win.

Leyla: "So what's your plan then?"

Berk: "This"

Berk: "Come on"

They walked while holding hands in school. 

Aybike saw them. She was so shocked and sad. 

She told the others that she forgot her notebook in class but she went to the classroom to cry. 

Sarp saw Berk and Leyla holding hands. Berk texted him saying  "Game over bro. Bring the money tomorrow if you don't mind"

Leyla asked Berk if Sarp was going to bring the money tomorrow and Berk told her that he texted him. Leyla said that even if he brings the money tomorrow, they will separate/break up. Berk told her not to worry and that they were only acting, it's no big deal. Leyla said that this benefited him since he was trying to make Aybike jealous. Berk told her that she must be joking because Aybike left him and she does not even look at his face anymore. Leyla was confused and told him that Aybike looked upset when she saw them holding hands just now and he was surprised. She also told him that Aybike asked her about him at the party and if there was something going on between them. My boy couldn’t believe it: “Aybike was curious and asked you about me, right? Why didn’t you tell me this earlier?” 

Leyla said that she didn't because Aybike told her that she wasn't mad at her but after seeing her reaction earlier..

Leyla: "Berk!! Aybike still loves you probably!!!"

Berk: "YES"

Leyla: "YES"

Berk: "or she wouldn't have asked you about me, right?"

Leyla: "Right!"

Berk: "and you said she got upset now! omg this girl probably still loves me!! Thank God!"

Berk: "Thank god but she saw us like that earlier... god damn it! what am I going to do now? This time she's really not going to look at me!! I hope she didn't leave school yet"

Leyla: "RUN!!"

and he went to look for her but unfortunately she already left. She went to the beach. 

She and Berk came to this place before. 

They were throwing rocks in the water and Berk was winning because he was throwing them farther than hers.

Berk: "Would you be sad if we broke up"

Aybike: "Why are you asking this question now?"

Berk: "I don't know! I feel like you're going to say: “No, I won't be sad, I won't be in pain and you will be stubborn about it" "

Aybike: "If we break up, I will definitely be angry and then I'll come here and I'll secretly scream and cry. Probably! Maybe! So don't be too happy!"

Berk: "How can I be happy you crazy? Is there something good about breaking up with you? If something like that happens, I will lose my mind, okay?"

Berk: "My beautiful"

then he told her that she won and she said no she wants to continue until she wins and he was like "okay okay" 😂

*Back to the present*

Aybike screaming at the sea: "He will lose his mind! He will lose his mind! He will lose his mind if we broke up! You said you were going to lose your mind!! So why didn't you lose your mind!! How will you lose your mind?? How?? "

Aybike: "I hate you! But you know how to go and hold someone else's hand immediately! you know how to go and hold someone else's hand immediately! I hate you! I hate you! Stupid! Stupid liar! Stupid liar!"

Berk came behind her and heard everything. He threw a rock in the water and Aybike turned and saw him

Berk: "If you believed that I forgot about you, then you’re the stupid one"

Aybike: "What are you talking about? " and she pushed him

Berk: "I never forgot about you, Aybike"

Aybike: "I am sure you didn't! I am sure you didn't forget about me! That's why you came to the party with Leyla! That's why you were holding her hand earlier, right? because you never forgot about me"

Berk: "That's a different topic"

Aybike: "What do you mean different? different how? different how? Isn't she your girlfriend?"

Berk: "No she isn't”

Berk: "She isn't my girlfriend, I swear. She is my friend. But you got jealous because of her and now, thanks to her, I can look you in the eyes, Leyla might be my favorite friend right now "

Aybike: "You were holding her hand today, Berk."

Berk: "That was to make you jealous. It was stupid"

I wish he would've told her the truth here. Now, I have to worry about what’s going to happen when the truth about the bet will be exposed 😭

Berk: "do you not believe me? call Leyla and ask her then, ask her if it was true or not, or wait, I will call her since you don't believe me"

Aybike: "don't call her! don't call her"

Aybike: "So there is nothing between you two?"

Okay but can we talk about how sad he was because she said she was so hurt after seeing him hold hands with Leyla 😭

Berk: "But you didn't even want me, I didn't think that you would be this sad! I couldn't forget you! Not even for a moment"

This line made me tear up 😭😭😭

Berk: "But you destroyed me! You ended me!"

Berk: "Look, never leave me again! Please! okay?"

Aybike: "Okay"

and then they hugged again. He kissed her head again but this time it looked like he was breathing her in.

Berk: "I missed you so much Aybike"

I love how happy she is and how relieved she looks when he’s hugging her 😭

First of all, this scene was so beautifully shot ❤️❤️ Can we talk about the close ups!!!! Because Recep and Melis play emotional scenes so well, I felt like the close ups were the right choice for this scene. Recep really was right when he commented with a fire emoji about this scene because it was 🔥🔥 You know what was missing in this scene? A FREAKING PASSIONATE KISS!!! but okay I won't complain about this from now on, I know we're never getting one. 

So, Berk told Aybike that he held Leyla's hand to make her jealous. He didn't tell her about the bet and I don't like this. The truth will definitely be exposed later😭

After that, Berk took her home but Tolga was there lurking around the house and he saw them.

Berk: "I love you so much, my Aybike"

AHHHHHHHHHH I missed hearing him say "Aybike'm" ❤️❤️❤️

Aybike: "I love you so much too"

Berk: "I will see you at school then"

Aybike: "See you then"

and then he kissed her. 

Can we please talk about how they didn't want to let go of each other!!!

Let me explain to you what this dumbass meant here. Earlier that day at school, Tolga told Aybike:”a close friend of mine from school likes a girl but he's not sure about what the girl thinks but if you look closely the two of them could actually be close friends" I am just going to pause here and ask WHAT??? close friends??? him and Aybike?? I have never seen someone so delusional as this guy !!

Tolga continues: "But he's thinking: "What if I confess to her but it doesn’t go well, what should I do?" "

Aybike: "He should immediately confess! Think of this like ripping a band-aid off of an injury, you can't rip it slowly, you have to rip it quickly. Yes, you might get hurt but you would've taken the band aid off, in the end, you're going to get rid of it. Did you understand what I mean? and whoever thinks about the ending can never be a hero and girls like heroes. He shouldn't hide his feelings; he should confess asap"

Tolga: "Aybike, this friend of mine is actually..." and Aybike cuts him off saying that she needed to get a map from the faculty room and she left

Tolga: "This close friend of mine is me"

He was really going to confess right there lol. Anyway, he bought flowers and went to her house to confess to her but then he saw her with Berk and he was like:

"How? she said confess...She said be a hero". I am pretty sure the advice she gave was for "his friend". How can he think that she meant “Oh yes you can confess to me, I can't wait" I am just??? I am confused here????  He was so mad and I am pretty sure he was so pissed at Berk because the way he looked at him was so scary.

They tried so hard to make Tolga look romantic today but all I got is just creepy vibe from him. Him telling her that she didn't put her hair in a bun since a couple of weeks, the collage they made for him and the way he was talking with himself about how he's going to confess to her. There was no teaser which was weird but they put Ayber on the cover of the episode for the first time! We really deserved this win today!
