Okay just finished reading Hideyoshi’s sequel for the first time. Blissful route ending. But like...DAMN! Thoughts below the cut (spoilers ahead).

Okay this route WREAKED HAVOC on my heart. This is legit the first time I have ever cried (and ugly cried) from this game (have come close but this one just really hit me).

Like MC not only not being able to touch those she loves but her touch actually causing them PAIN! AND IT COULD EVENTUALLY KILL THEM?!

The damage that that would do to you mentally. And when she's thinking of committing suicide...I was 😭! Her pain and hopelessness felt so real and raw.

And then to turn Hideyoshi into the type that would burn the world for MC?! Turn pur sweet sunshine man into this beast?! I know they've hinted at it before but he REALLY took it there in the sequel. And that was one of the things I loved though. I love a man who would turn against the world for turning against me. Favorite type of fictional man.

And I fucking swear..KICHO PISSED ME OFF AND DISGUSTED ME! He's definitely been twisted in other routes...but he seems the most unhinged to me in this one. He made an aide fall in love with him in order to experiment on how far the physical pain would go! And then blinded the poor man and killed him with his voice...literally making his flesh melt off!!! The actual fuck?! How can you justify that?! And how is that finding life previous?!

Okay...loved Ranmaru and Kennyo being silent protectors of MC and just constantly showing up when needed. It was beautiful.

Loved the banter between Hideyoshi and Mitsuhide. And I adored when we got to our happy ending ALL OF THE GUYS DOTING ON MC!!! And making Hideyoshi jealous in the process. Man even scolded Nobunaga!

Happy ending was appreciated after the heartbreak that was the rest of it. Seriously ripped my heart out and stomped on it. But that just means it was so well written and just shows how much I love these characters.
