Stressed

Pairing: Harry Styles x reader

Summary: When harry is stressed at work and news about y/n cheating on him got into his nerves. 

Warnings: Little bit of angst but all in all, it’s fluff

Word count: 900-ish words

Second POV,

Fights between couples were normal.

You know, like siblings, endless words were thrown at each other in a nonsense way.

You and Harry had been dating for so long that these heated arguments and little misunderstandings were easily solved with just the words - “I’m sorry.”

It was often but normal.

One night when he marched inside your shared house and yelled at your name, you sighed and went down the stairs.

Confused about what was it again you asked, “Is everything alright, love?”

He let out a low groan and looked at you with eyes filled with anger. He stood up and you stepped back a little.

Picking up the newspaper that was sitting on the table, he shoved it to your chest, hard enough to left a stinging pain. “Care to explain, y/n?”

His whisper was scarier than him shouting and cursing at your face.

He was waiting for you to give your best explanation that would satisfy his feelings.

Eyes furrowed, you looked at the source of his sudden outburst. At the front page, you gasped. “Y/n Y/l/n was seen cheating on Harry Styles.”

“H-Harry t-this is not-” stuttering on what you just read, he cut you off.

“Enough with the bullshit, y/n.” This time he let out his anger. Heavy breathing and tears fell down his cheeks effortlessly. 

He was broken.

If he could just listen to you instead of cutting you off every time you tried to talk, maybe, just maybe, all of the things he was thinking would be solved.

You were feeling sad about his condition. Stress was seen all over his body. He looked so tired.

Seeing him cry, you had enough.

Slowly stepping closer to him, you placed your hands on both sides of his cheeks. “Shhhh baby just listen to me.”

He looked up to you but this time, instead of anger, sadness was the thing you saw. “This is not true, you heard me?”

“Why does it always has to happen, y/n?”

He looked down and added, “Why can’t people just accept you? They won’t let me have a girlfriend, you. It feels like I’m not allowed to be happy. I’m tired y/n.”

No words could express how you were feeling so you just hug him as tightly as you could to show that you were not leaving his life.

“Look at me Harry,” his eyes stayed low.

“Please,” the second time he obeyed.

“First of all, I want you to know that I love you so much that I wouldn’t do such thing. You were stressing yourself so bad that you wouldn’t have time to relax a bit. Don’t listen to what your fans say or what the news says. Not every news is true. Just think that because they love you so bad they can’t handle seeing you with a girl over them,” he laughed at the last thing you said.

“That’s it, smile babe.”

“I’m sorry.”

“You don’t have to. I’m not mad at all. I understand what you were feeling but next time please listen first, OK?” he smiled and nodded. “Now come on, let’s order some pizza and watch some movies, shall we?

He giggles. His normal self came back. Not a single stress was seen on him. “What am I Going to do without you?”

“You wouldn’t know ‘coz I will be always here with you.”

Wrapping his arms around your waist, both faces were inches apart, he whispered, “I love you.”

“And I love you too.”

Game of Thrones one year on- why it went wrong- Characters part 1

One year one from the game of thrones ending disaster I will be exploring in a series of essays what went wrong for one of the most popular TV shows of all time. In this essay I will be looking at how several characters were ruined by the show.

Character skills and traits 

Much has been made about the drop in characters intelligence as the series progressed. Varys and Littlefinger went from schemers with hundreds of spies and men to do their bidding to having no plans, no back up, anything, Varys suddenly turns on Dany and plots treason out in the open. 

Tyrion also has a marked drop in intelligence as the seasons progress, he goes from a capable Hand in season 2 to an idiot who screws up all of Dany’s plans and armies, as well as developing a set of modern morals alongside. In the books Tyrion is going down a darker path and has already pushed fAegon to attack Westeros early and will likely encourage Dany’s fire and blood and paranoia as to get revenge on his family.

Dany in the books has embraced fire and blood for the time being, instead the show kept her restrained to a certain degree and removed fAegon who is already in Westeros and is set to become king before she arrives, likely gaining the support and love of the common people. Instead of Kingslanding being destroyed in a second dance of the dragons battle which may happen in the books the show runners decided to have her turn ‘mad’ in the span on half an episode destroying 7 seasons of character development. 

By removing Sansa’s Vale arc they removed her from her training to instead put her in Winterfell, in season 8 the show tries to portray her as this intelligent amazing ruler and great player of the game of thrones. But she was never shown developing these skills or learning how to rule (which is another big theme of the books ruling is hard) we were just told all these things. Instead she was turned into Cersei 2.0 and during the Battle of Winterfell in crypts she acted like Cersei did in the battle of Blackwater. 

Arya in the books is extroverted and a warg with a keen sense of justice while the show later on portrays her as a loner, her arc in the books is about identity and the experiences of the Smallfolk and child soldiers. The show made her arc about revenger and turned her into a smirking assassin and badass warrior. But this makes no sense how is she so good she had half a year’s training with Syrio and then about a year with the faceless men and not all of that is spent battle training. She should’t be an amazing assassin because she dropped out and she shouldn’t be able to beat Brienne who has been training most of her life and is twice Arya’s size in a fight. Also the faceless men isn’t assassin’s creed it isn’t about fighting, it’s about subterfuge, poisons, reading people and being able to mimic them. The faceless men pride themselves on making the death’s look accidental and stab wounds are pretty obviously not natural. 

Like Tyrion’s Jon Snow’s intelligence and character takes a nose dive in season 8 to the point where he only has 2 lines. But in the early season he was never portrayed as smart as he is in the books. In the books he modernises the night's watch, he negotiates with Stannis, the Wildlings and the Iron Bank, he leads the defence of the Wall and plans Stannis’s northern campaign, he's ambitious- he wants to be Lord of Winterfell. His own actions result in the pink letter and assassination. In the show he’s a generic action jock good for swinging a sword but not much else. He can’t negotiate with the Wildings or convince the North to fight for him, he’s unambitious and judging by the battle of Winterfell is no good at battle tactics either. His entire arc revolved around the White Walkers but the time the battle ruled around he didn't do anything of significance.

Last week we were to check up with Sofie because of her premature at the hospital. A check up at least once a year. Last week turned out to be last time since Sofie is completely how a child at her age, are supposed to be. 💪❤️😍 Her doctor was impressed with her, Specifically Because of the start she got and her scans of her heart and brain (mostly the last one). And he asked if he could use her as example for his Colleagues, which we said of course too. If it can give hope to others, then of course. Today our little boy is already one month old! 👶🏻🎉 It‘s been also two weeks since we got home from the hospital. Since then we had so many beautiful moments together and he‘s doing really good! When we picked his name around christmas, we just liked the sound and it had a special connection to our families. The meaning didn‘t seem to matter to us. But now we know, that his name „Luis“, which means „famous warrior“, fits him even more: With him being premature and having a difficult start in this world, he really proved himself to be a great fighter! 😊💪🏻

A flashback from exactly one year ago today. On this day last year I began receiving TPN (total parenteral nutrition) for the third time. I was in the hospital because my Crohn’s disease and gastroparesis were flaring up. That meant my body wasn’t absorbing anything I ate. Also, I was so nauseous I couldn’t even eat anyways. My body was building up with fluid again due to protein deficiency because I couldn’t absorb protein. I was weak and in constant pain. Last October 22 of 2018 I officially had my third PICC line inserted and began TPN and that was when I started getting better again. After being on it for a week on top of receiving albumin infusions, blood transfusions, sodium chloride boluses multiple times a day, and other various medications I went into remission. It was an amazing miracle! I felt so much stronger and healthier and more energetic. Finally I was able to speedily walk around the hospital unit with my IV pole with the bright yellow bag the was helping me survive. The doctors and nurses who helped me get better were so sweet and caring and they were like psuedo-parents to me. I’m so grateful that because I got TPN and other help intravenously that I’m still here and alive and moving today. No, I am not in perfect health. Not even close. Every day I do still live with some form of pain. My Crohn’s and gastroparesis still do bother me quite a bit. Yet I am stronger than I was this time last year. God is keeping me alive.
