At work just thinking about you buying the creepiest house on the block and inheriting Simon as your neighbor. The house creaks, the basement light never stays, the attic is damp, and you’re pretty sure there’s a ghost.
Not to mention there’s something not quite right about the man next door.

Dc x Dp Prompt #2
Danny loved his life. After his reveal to Jack and Maddie as a half ghost went right, everything started falling into place.
Vlad stopped his insane schemes once his parents were set loose on him. Sure he’s still mayor but he funds the town, keeps them protected from unwanted visitors, and is no longer trying to kidnap/adopt/clone Danny anymore.
Speaking of clones, Ellie was officially adopted into the family. She didn’t live with them full time with her obsession being freedom, but at least she has a home to return to now.
Dan was also adopted into the family. He is still on probation but turns out having their adopted family again (and as many ghost fruits as he wants) helped ease the rage. That’s not to mention Dan’s and Skulker’s bi-weekly figh- errr meetups.
Well at least there’s been no property destruction since he’s been crowned. After he and his rogues began scheduling their own meetups, his grades started going up again. So while he may never become an astronaut like he always dreamed of, he could still go up to space and see the stars whenever he wanted to.
Sure, being king wasn’t exactly what he wanted in life (or death) but he could protect his ghosts and liminals better this way. And considering his entire town is either ghost or liminal, it was just easier to protect them from the GIW and the government in general with a crown on his head.
Besides being king isn’t all bad either. He’s rich now meaning they won’t be racked up in college debt, he has cool artifacts that were gifted to the ghost king over the millennia that were left untouched but he’s not about to return them (they were gifts to the ghost king, practically funeral gifts like flowers but more rare and expensive), and he has crazy powerful Ancients as friends/family/mentors/protectors. He’s still a baby in ghost years and a minor in human years so he’s not expected to do much either way.
Life was going great, especially after Amity Park adopted ghost etiquette and ecto-infused food and beverages.
So why the Ancients are the Justice League of all people standing outside his front door with the Batman looking thoroughly freaked out the moment he opened the door? He hasn’t said anything yet either!! Stupid fucking government heroes.

Small town William Wisp who knows the entire town and the entire town knows him, so when the little boy who used to run around the small park and through the fields with his friends changes overnight they notice. They notice his skin turn pale, not a typical winter pale that comes from lack of sunlight and being indoors all the time, but the pale that leaves barely a flush to the skin as if his heart isn’t beating like it once was. They notice his lack of energy, how little he goes outside now, they notice his heavy black hoodie even in the southern heat.
At first, they assume he is sick, after all the Wisp parents look stressed and concerned more often than not. It doesn’t help when the school year rolls around and people find out he isn’t going to the school in the town and is instead going to the city
They see absolutely nothing of William after that, but the Wisp parents look beyond stressed constantly watching the news the moment a mention of an attack on Rockfell is made. They understand it must be stressful to know your kid could be out on the street when the attack occurred. Must be scary to think they’re out with friends when some villain and superhero come tumbling through the coffee shop wall. they don’t know the real reason, don’t know they’re watching their youngest son almost die again fighting the villain of the week.
One day after a trip to the city to see their sons the Wisps come back visibly shaken, as though something is wrong, Mrs.Wisp will not stop crying and her husband stands next to her side attempting to help but clearly on the verge of tears as well.
Throughout these two years, strange things had been happening around town, kids reporting they saw strange creatures walking around town, people claiming they saw some sort of glowing blue wisp floating around, and sights of horrific monsters just standing at the edge of the forest surrounding the town.
Then a while after the Wisps leave again and this time they do not come back before their town is ordered to evacuate. People pack up as quickly as possible, as if in a trance.
When they return it’s hard to miss the damage in the area. Despite the work done by the heroes to restore the town blood stains a clearing close by, the sign is scorched, and the body bags, so many line the streets as they work to identify and return the bodies to their families. William looks different, way different to the boy who left. His dark hair is streaked with white, his once brown eyes a shocking blue, a slightly jagged scar runs down the middle of his face and neck, more dot his arms and legs, he seems to float when he moves, and occasionally a small blue wisp will dart around him.
So the town notices and knows that the little boy they knew is changed forever, they also know that he saved the world with the other teens who stand beside him, just as scarred, and they know for certain they hate the so-called heroes who did this to these kids, to the boy who played tag with their kids, to the boy who made sure to say hello to everyone at the church cookout, to his friends that he cares about so deeply.
This small town knew an energetic kid and awkward teenager, now they know a still awkward but more confident almost adult, they knew a 15-year-old who disappeared for two years, now they know a 17-year-old who came back different, they knew William Wisp, now they know The Whisperer.

Hey, I'm really sorry to have to ask y'all, but my family and I are being evicted from our home and we can't really afford to live anywhere else.
We've been saving up for a while and we've found a place we can almost afford, but we're still short about $4,400. So like, if you have anything you can do to help I'd greatly appreciate it, but like, I get that times are tough all around so I totally understand if you don't
Here's a link to my paypal, but like, please only donate if you've got the cash to spare, I don't want anyone to go hungry on my account

My one hope for Cinderella’s Castle is that the proshot isn’t so over produced like npmd. The npmd proshot is gorgeous visually but completely loses so much of the choreography and staging due to its amount of close ups and cuts. I just want a good view of the staging in each scene that lets me see the choreography well.

so... i wanted to be done with this watcher stuff. but then i saw on reddit that one of their eXCluSivE nEw CoNtEnT got leaked, you know "road files" which is basically a behind the scenes video for ghost files. which is a nice idea. ...................... but the video lasts 8 minutes. you pay, 6 dollars a month, the first video you get is an 8 minutes video. opening with ryan saying "well this could be the only time we do that". so. huh, not new exclusive content, then? - since they want to be compared to tv, let's compare that to a behind the scenes video/film some tv shows make, for example the star wars ones, on disney+, that are minimum at least 20 minutes long if not more, way more, like 45+ minutes. and then you have the bts elements of a ghost files. so now, i can truly say: i do not get how their ghost files' seasons cost them hundreds of thousands of dollars. like there's nothing in the video that warrants this video not costing them... like 20k at most. (and i mean that without counting paying the employees/crew, because i'd argue they do that with their general revenues, and not just their revenues out of the ghost files seasons). and that's without even delving into everything that's weird about how much money they're spending by making dumb shit like sending a "scouting crew" (of no less than 5 or 6 people, I don't remember, cuz that ain't too much at all) before them... you're ghost hunting, like what's the point of that?? and as i suspected when they switched to watcher, this video just proved how scripted, over-prepared the whole concept of "ghost hunting" became when they switched from buzzfeed unsolved to watcher. so you gotta tell me that the "unscripted, 100% natural" episode of ghost files, is actually made with like 10 other people in the room, behind the camera, the guys having entered and toured the "haunted building" like 10 times before the cameras start rolling, producers, crews and all and all having scouted the building (here, a small house) dozens of times already. legit. h u h ????? then they went to see dune 2, hung around in their hotel rooms, ate burgers, and the whole thing lasted two days out of their schedule... and then credits roll with no less than like 20 people credited for a behind the scenes video, where most of the footage is from ryan's phone. huh??? and that costs y'all hundreds of thousands of dollars??? and this is the "tv quality" exclusive new content we get if we pay the 6 dollars a month?? 🙃

I feel like Arcadia Oaks from Tales of Arcadia and Amity Park from Danny Phantom, if they existed in the same universe, would both be weird, but like, in opposite ends of the spectrum.
Like, Arcadia sits on top of a primordial hearthstone, the last one and also the biggest. Magic radiates throughout the town. Everyone who lives there is a little more in tune with nature. Everything and everyone is just a little too perfect. Everyone’s a little to pretty. They live a little too long. Their eyes sparkle with something more. Their streets are too clean and outsiders feel like they’re walking into a dream when they visit. It’s almost eerily enchanting.
Amity Park is on the opposite spectrum. Everything there is off. When comparing the two towns, people will notice a lot of similarities but they can’t quite put there finger on what makes Amity so off-putting. Everyone lives a little too long. Their eyes sparkle with something more. All of these qualities are shared between the two towns, but one is enchanting and the other is terrifying.
Either way, very few outsiders can stand to stay more than a few days.

I see "Danny just wants to be normal" and "Amity Park is Danny's haunt au" and raise you, not a weird Amity Park, but a very very normal Amity Park. Everything is completely normal but it feels wrong. It's all just a little /too normal/ like it's been fabricated to be the most average town ever. Everything's right but there's an underlying current of some thing here is wrong. An outsider will see something weird out of the corner of their eye (ghosts hurtling through the air), but when they turn to look all they see is a bird landing on a branch. They must've just seen the bird? Right? Right????? And no townspeople have seen anything either. But it feels out of place. A niggling feeling that you can't quite shake but everything is fine??? But??? It's unexplainable but something Isn't Right.

Some things I really like in ToTK as someone who considers Zelda games loadbearing:
the reuse of the Dragon Roost Island theme strikes an extremely specific feeling in my heart and it makes me want to cry from an emotion that isn’t quite nostalgia (it’s like the equivalent of seeing an old friend)
The reuse of parts of the tune of Faron Woods from Skyward Sword in the Korok Forest
That drop-down into the Great Deku Tree threw me straight back to the first time I dropped down the Deku Tree in Ocarina
Seeing Gohma back was like “oh fuck yeah this bitch!” And knowing exactly how to fight her 👌
The reintroduction of Sages but I wish they had kept 7 as the number of Sages as a True Callback to Ocarina of Time
The Stable Trotters really bring a Spirit Tracks/Phantom Hourglass kind of vibe and it’s probably bc of the tiny little chocolate chip of a Hylian Man that’s the conductor - his design is just so DS zelda and it tickles me
That Ganon is an Active Threat again and that the world feels more reactionary to the events and ongoing caused by his return. It feels like Classic Zelda problems
The way Hyrule Castle is suspended above Hyrule is really reminiscent of its sectioned off fate in Twilight Princess
The phantom soldiers that hold weapons down in the Depths feels like the spirit soldiers from TP
Love that the Depths mirrors the Overworld like an homage to ALTP

I bet lots of places in Arcadia are like super haunted considering how many 'mysterious disappearances' the town has
