Isaac pulled the sheet off the mysterious object, revealing a tall human sized clown plush doll sitting in the corner. It had straight, cherry red fabric hair with large, stylized curls at the ends. Light blue feathers that were over white feathers rested atop the shoulders they covered, the attachment point for the long, rainbow striped and stuffing-filled sleeves that ended with green bandage covered hands. It was wearing an orange shirt, the lower half of it being covered by more green bandages. It wore short but baggy red pants that were held up by purple overalls, a single lime green patch on the right leg. It had long rainbow striped socks that started at the knees and trailed down to red clown shoes. Its face looked strikingly similar to Jack's, the only difference being the hair and a long almost horn-like nose that had the same rainbow stripes as the sleeves and the socks. "Oh!" Jack exclaimed with an expression of surprise that melted into confusion. "Um... this is.. wonderful Isaac!" He said with a slightly off put tone as clasped his hands together, locking eyes with the lifeless doll. "Is it supposed to resemble me? It's very thoughtful but..." Jack trailed off from his question, simply staring at the strange doll with the question of why. Isaac simply laughed at the question, quietly backing away from Jack to reach for a hammer on his workbench. "Of course it looks like you! It's how I see you, after all. Nose and all." Isaac stated with a terrible cackle as he quietly pulled the carpet away to reveal the floorboards, the dim lighting barely showing a ritualistic circle. Jack stumbled as Isaac did that, but he was used to Isaac trying to pull pranks on him, so he tried to ignore it, something his wife told him to try to deter Isaac from his usual tricks. Jack had a final look at the doll with an unsure expression before his smile returned to his face. "It's a very odd gift, but thank you. It means a lot, even if I don't understand it." He turned around to look at Isaac with the same chipper face he had when he arrived. "But what do you mean by it being life change-" He was cut off by Isaac's hammer striking him in the side of his chest with a loud cracking noise, winding him and toppling him to the ground. Despite the agony in his ribs and his mouth agape, he was too stunned to scream. He looked at Isaac in horror as he scrambled to try to at least sit up. "And after all-" Isaac started as he quickly extinguished the lamp. "- you want to look like yourself, don't 'ya?" He asked as he stood over his brother, pushing him to the floor with a single foot as the hand that held the hammer shivering in anticipation. Jack went to speak, either desperate to give his brother sense or to beg for his life but he couldn't. Nothing but the sounds of sputtering and coughing escaped his mouth. "Especially when you're going to live forever!" Isaac cackled. He raised the hammer high above his head and murmured words Jack couldn't understand before slamming down on Jack's chest. Again and again, with as much strength as Isaac could gather, he dug into Jack's chest while struggling to chant words even he didn't fully understand. He stood there, watching the lights leave Jack's eyes as his blood seeped into the floorboards and, more importantly, into the etched runes. It felt like an eternity for Jack but it took less than a minute for the life to finally leave his mutilated corpse. Isaac stood over his work, chuckling with the same grin on his face that he had when his brother arrived, and dropped the hammer. He stumbled backwards to his chair and sat down, still chuckling as he glanced to his opened book. "Oh, sweet brother." He looked towards the giant doll, who's shoe was touching Jack's cold head. "Now we'll have 'ta wait for morn' to see if this was all worth it. But for now... what to do with 'ya scraps..."

You could maybe try writing a small paragraph or threw of the LJ rewrite? Could be of any part of the story, really

Aheem, my writing skills are shit but um. A section!! Which would be early/middle part of the story? "Isaac, I'm here!" Jack exclaimed in a chipper tune as he entered Isaac's shop. All the lights in the front of the building were off, with only a dim glow coming from a door behind a counter. Jack looked mildly concerned with the lack of response, but he simply shrugged it off as he took off his snow-covered shoes and coat. He made his way towards the counter, littered with nicely presented plush toys and gadgets, and rung the desk bell. It wasn't uncommon for Isaac to want company when the sun set and the streets were silent, after all he was busy all day with his work, but something felt different this time... It felt malicious. Something in the back of Jack's mind said something was wrong, that he should run home to his wife, but he rejected those fears and kept still, waiting for his brother to appear. After all, there was no logical reason to feel this way! Maybe it was just the anticipation of any birthday surprise Isaac had that made him anywhere close to anxious! That is how Jack reasoned it at least, but the dead silence didn't help his worry. He rung the bell again but it seemed he pressed it once too many times as Isaac's annoyed voice echoed from beyond a door that was behind the counter. "Come in 'ya corny bastard! Don't need 'ta ring the bell every time like you're a customer." Jack's worry melted upon hearing his brother be his regular bothered self. Jack walked past the counter and slowly into the room beyond the door. It was Isaac's workshop, filled with half-made toys and scraps of fabric, metal and wood. Isaac was sitting on a chair next to his workbench and turned towards Jack, Isaac's prized book on the bench right next to him. The room was lit with only a single oil lamp, barely casting light onto a giant sheet of fabric covering something large in the corner of the room, which caught Jack's eye. "Finally here for your birthday present, are 'ya? It's pretty late, even for someone like me!" Isaac said with his usual horrible grin. "What kept you?" Jack kept his attention to the thing in the corner. "I've... had a rough day is all. I had to take a kip and I suppose I slept for too long." Jack admitted as he walked into the room. He was surprised by the new carpet at his feet, failing to notice it before hand due to the poor lighting. He reached to turn on a regular light in the room, but was stopped by Isaac piping up. "Oi, don't do that!" He shouted, darting up from his chair. Jack put his hand down as he looked concerned for Isaac when he started coughing and clearing his throat from shouting so loud. "It'll uh... will ruin all the suspense I've been making!" Isaac said, quickly regaining his smug smile as he walked to Jack and put his hand on his shoulder, walking with him to the obvious covered present in the corner. "Come along now, I need to give you your present!" "It's going to be life changing."

It was Dew’s turn to cook dinner for everyone, which meant it was actually Aether’s turn to cook while Dew sat on the counter and watched. It was nearing 6pm and slowly ghouls would start filtering their way into the den. Rain had already made his way to the den, heading upstairs to shower the lake water off his skin. 

“Bets on who’s in next?” Dew asked, his feet swinging off the counter. 

Aether stirs as the tomato sauce he’s making. 

“Mountain, I think.” He reaches for the salt. “He’s never normally far behind Rain.” 

Dew let out a giggle. 

“Are you going to pat him down like you threatened last week.” 

Mountain was notorious for rescuing injured animals and nurturing them back to health, that was no secret, everyone around the ministry knew him be Snow White. But when Aether had found out that he’d been sneaking little animals, mostly lizards and snakes, into the den and keeping them in an empty fish tank he had, Aether had threatened to do a tsa style search on him before he was allowed inside. They weren’t allowed pet, they all knew that, it was made very clear to them, and Aether didn’t want to get on the wrong side of anyone. He’d seen first hand what happened if you pissed off the higher ups. 

“Depends how sneaky he is when he comes in.” 

He flicks the kettle on to boil water for pasta. 

As if on queue, the back door opens. Mountain tries to sneak in, he really does, but he’s tall and clumsy and speed isn’t something that comes naturally to him so him trying to rush past Dew and Aether ends with a spatula being pressed to his chest and him being pressed up against the fridge with Dew laughing maniacally behind him. 

Aether presses the spatula to his throat.

“Empty your pockets.” He demands. 

“I-what? Why?” Mountain stutters. 

Aether narrows his eyes. 

“You know why.” 

Mountain holds his hand up in surrender. 

“I have nothing this time, I promise.” 

“We're demons from hell, promises mean nothing to us.” Dew chimes on from behind them. 

Mountain glares at him over Aethers head. He was on his side when he was playing with one of the lizards he’s snuck in. 

Aether takes a step back, lowering the spatula.

“You promise.” 

“I prom-“

“I can see it moving in your pocket, you lying little shit!” Aether’s trying his hardest not to laugh.

Mountain smirks at him.

“Maybe I’m just happy to see you.” 

“He does like being pinned down, we all know that.” Dew pipes up again. 

Mountain does a silent cheer, Dew’s back on his side. 

“See?” 

Aether shakes his head.

“Pockets. Empty them.” 

Mountain sighs and digs into his pocket and pulls out a frog? Or a toad? Aether isn’t sure but it’s some kind of amphibian. He places on the counter, right next to Dew making the smaller ghoul scream, loudly, and jump from the Counter and into Aethers arms in an almost scooby-doo  like way. 

“What the fuck is that fucking thing?!” He screeches. 

Mountain beams at him. 

“It’s a frog, Specifically a Moor frog. I found him in the lake when I went to see Rain.” 

“Mount, you can’t keep him, we’ve talked about this.” Aether says, trying to balance Dew in his arms. 

“He’s too ugly to keep anyway.”

 Dew’s still eyeing the frog suspiciously as it hops along the counter.

“Well your ugly and we kept you.” 

Dew glares at Mountain with a small growl. 

Mountain ignores Dew and pouts at Aether. 

“Can’t I keep for today? And tomorrow I’ll go to the lake with Rain and return him?” 

Aether, never being able to say no to Mountain or his damn puppy dog eyes, sighs.

“Just for tonight. I mean it, he better be gone by tomorrow.” 

Mountain smiles at him, wide and full of fang.

“I promise.” 

He scoops the frog up in his hands, still smiling, and heads towards the stairs to go to his room. He has absolutely no intentions of returning the frog. It was his now.

Skipping ALL things in my queue, and all the asks in my ask box, to tell y'all about THIS that came out a few hours ago. I cannot express how excited I am about this information finally being published.

Its not the first evidence of pottery technologies found in Australia, but the artefacts that have been found at the Lizard Island group in the past havent necessarily been datable. Evidence of pottery in the Torres Strait was also found in the early 2000s, and its been analysed to be evidence of trade with Papua New Guinea (who have an AMAZING history of pottery technology).

To our amazement, around 40cm below the surface we began to find pieces of pottery among the shells in the excavation. We knew this was a big deal. We carefully bagged each piece of pottery and mapped where each sherd came from, and kept digging.

But as of now, there's officially dated evidence for locally made pottery in Australia, of at least 1800 years. Not only outside the Torres Straight, but 300km south. Not only 1800+ years old, but also pre-dating the original known dates for Torres Straight Islands pottery, suggesting the possibility of even earlier pottery technology trade with PNG. AND ITS DECORATED.

Radiocarbon dating of charcoal and shells found close to the pottery shows that it is between 2,950 and 1,815 years old, making it the earliest securely dated pottery ever found in Australia. Analysis of the clays and tempers shows that all of the pottery was likely made on Jiigurru.

The pottery stopped at about 80cm depth, with 82 pieces of pottery in total. Most are very small, with an average length of just 18 millimetres. The pottery assemblage includes rim and neck pieces and some of the pottery is decorated with pigment and incised lines.

He almost didn't seem real, from his unnaturally striking good looks to his ruffled winged appearance. It was like he stepped out of a children's fairy tale or some sort of prized painting. Who knew the future would be filled with amazing things like this? So caught up in her musings, she almost missed the last thing he said.

Did he say Kaguya-hime? L-Like the story?! Such a charmer this boy! He has to be doing it on purpose! "E-Eh?!" Neya splutters for a response, waving her arms and shaking her head furiously in denial as her face starts to burn. Then she smiles, cheeks still a bright red at his words while raising a hand to her mouth cover her flustered giggles. "H-How can you just say these things so easily? You certainly know how to make a girl feel special…"

"Despite the earlier uhm--excitement, it was nice meeting you as well Dark-san! You are certainly one of the most interesting thieves I've ever encountered." She ducks her head in a polite bow, "I don’t really have much to offer, but you are always welcome to swing by if you're in the area and would like to chat or take a break!" She gives her own soft smile. "Just make sure you don't bring the police with you next time." Waves. "Have a nice evening!

she's a good person , he thinks --- even if her circumstances seemed to be rather pitiful ones . it's thus that for whatever reason , her refusal doesn't entirely come as a surprise . ( muito-san ... ) sympathy and justification for thievery was a rarity , and he does wonder what she would think or how she would feel if he confessed it was for his own mother . a humorous thought and nothing more , the flat of his expression curling with a soft smile .

' is that so ? ' he doesn't insist , and when the box is shut by her hands he furthers its motions , back into a deep pocket where he would keep it safe . ' ... alright , then . '

there would always be other ways to potentially spoil her . when the thought echoes in his mind , the pulse of his heart seems to echo back ; a quiet sense of urging spurs him , and he understood that even if he made his leave here , his other self would have no doubt returned to produce and provide something much more natural than a stolen , national treasure .

' it's a shame that i didn't get to spoil a beautiful lady tonight , but i understand . if you don't have the ambition for it , getting involved with things like this can be trouble . ' he imagines some other girl clutching at a gift he had given , refusing to give it up for anything less than what it was worth ; even if the earrings were worth 5 billion now , no doubt their value would only rocket upwards even more following the touch and robbery of a great phantom thief .

yet neya says it herself that she's satisfied with such simplicity . he can't imagine this : being content with what practically seemed a humble buddhist monk's living . but this was always what separated drifters from thieves , wasn't it ? ' ... you're still an interesting one . isn't there anything else that you want ? or , if it's only avoiding the police that matters , then i suppose i should take my leave . '

his wings stretch out and flutter behind him --- his feathers catch and test the faint nocturnal breeze . ' either way , it's nice to meet you , neya . even though it's a new moon night , i feel as if i've met the beautiful kaguya-hime herself in a place like this . ' the shining white sliver of her person --- even in the dark , he can't help but smile at it .

OH MY GOD I FINALLY WATCHED MUTANT MAYHEM AND DJJSAJJSNSNFHXJDJ

I’m so so happy being able to take off mutant mayhem filters NOW I CAN BASK IN THE FANART YES YESBEYYEYSYSYSYSA

Ok so like I pulled up right and I knew it was gon be GOOD, but IT WAS GOODER THAT GOOD???? After I watched rise I was like mkmk yea there’s NO WAY they can make them more teenager-y But they Did.

My friend my love told me that they told the VA to change the script if they wanted to and if they thought it was more relevant and honestly? BEST DECISION EVER

U can feel however u want abt the movie but I will Fight You about the relevancy of it so bad, like something that media tends to focus on capturing is the Present, the feeling of the very moment “insert thing” happens, and the relevancy of certain situations in certain times. It’s the very reason why nostalgia hits so hard, because it is capturing the feeling of being right there in that moment, and so effortlessly

That’s what I felt watching the movie, THEY LITERALLT SAID RIZZ AND SUS, and I never in my LIFE thought I’d hear that in an ACTUAL OFFICIAL MOVIE, I just KNOW history scholars are gonna psycho analyze every reference they make

ALSO I ADORE SPLINTER SO SO SO MUCHANJAJASJKEKNX, I love seeing just-became-a-father splinter it’s AKJSNDNX. I really really love the angle they took with him, and him seeing himself reflected in superfly and how being so strict hurts his kids because it doesn’t let them explore options or themselves fully, even if he really does think he’s right

ALSO HIM AND SCUMBAG AKAJNSNSNX IT WAS SO CUTEEEE IT KILLED MEEE

AND OH GOD near the end when superfly had the turtles and was abt to like snap them and I saw the broken shells I, no kidding, screamed. THE AMOUNT OF ANGST IVE CONSUMED THAT HAS HAD BROKEN SHELLS AS ONE OF ITS MAIN PLOTS AOQJJWNSNX, it was WILDDD having it canon ngl

Overall all the characters, like every single one, felt so fleshed out and real, it was genuinely so refreshing. I love how media now focuses on capturing raw human states instead of the heavily filtered beauty standard that our societies have for so long clung to. I think future generations being able to see that will really heal some of the damage being “chronically online” can cause

April had SUCH GOOD STYLE and I loved her :) because the plot was so heavy I almost expected a lot of the characters to not have an arc at all, so I was real surprised when splinter and April realized what they did was hurting ppl. The writers were REAL good at keep the plot semi-un-crowded despite how much was going on

Again, THE HUMOR WAS SO SO PRESENT DAY AKAJWJENNX

I loved Raph LIKE ALWAYS and how they made him an angry mf w/o making it against his brothers, and just making it as just how he is, I thought it was so nice to have an iteration where he keeps his spark without making it harmful to those he cares abt (his outfit at the end was so very fire it was my fav)

Mikey was so so sweet, I love whenever he’s both a goofy goober but also one of the most empathetic ones, the hope and kindness in his eyes <33

DONNIE WAS SO RADDDD, the VA did SUCH a good job, he has my fav voice and overall he was so cool in character too, freaking out abt the attack on titan doodle was so me and I love seeing a representation of what non-toxic fandom looks like that wasn’t seen as a problem or as meant to be looked down on, bro just loves k-pop and anime!!!

Leo was AMAZINFGGGT, they kept his leader persona and his want to take responsibility and decency without making him an ass !!! And for someone who grew up with 2012 Leo that’s something I was REALLY at awe at

It’s also the first turtle x human ship i don’t hate, they didn’t make Leo be CREEPY ASF LIKE W 2012 DONNIE, but he was still a hormonal teenager having a real crush and they were still friends

I also loved lizard dude

Superfly character was so rad too, the way he spoke and carried himself was really interesting to look at and I thought it was so cool, I love villains that have actual stories, AND BABY HIM WAS SO CUTEEEEE, wish we got more sibling content on him and his crew tho, but that’s very me nitpicking

Splinter cracking his back remind me of “BUMBUMBUM BUM BUM BUM!”

I love when tmnt doesn’t do orientalism :))) it’s very hard to avoid in iterations cause of the very foundation of tmnt, but I take it as a major W whenever we get a decent story(USUALLY AMAZING STORIES) that doesn’t rely on “oooohhhh mystery ninja stuff ooooooo” to make a compelling “aesthetic”

I also loved how Baxter stockman looked, and the turtle tots, the animation was OUT OF THIS WORLDDD, I rlly love how, as artists, we accept more diverse styles rather than just sticking to realism being the standard, because it allows for stuff like this to happen!!! And the scribbles added so much to the world ownqnnsndndjxjx I’ll rewatch it over and over again just for the art style

The plot itself was so good too in the way that it applies to more than mutants, the seeking of acceptance is something really really relatable in so many contexts: neurodivergence, queerness, immigration, and so so so much more????? It’s one of my fav things of most tmnt iterations, its themes carry on to other contexts, not just to the specific story being told. This is what leads it to being so attractive to so many audiences

The music was very atsv and I thought it was so rad, it’s always nice to watch a movie that has that kinda soundtrack, especially in urban settings it’s a lot more fitting than an orchestra (sometimes, or at least I think)

By the time me movie was over with the BADASS SHREDDER APPEARANCE I lost control of my body and was just happy stimming violently and my friends just kinda 🧍‍♂️ at me, and they got the same rant u just read but even more messy, if that’s possible

I was so busy with my dissertation this week that I forgot to queue a Scorpion Sunday. When will I get my priorities in order?

Not a whole lot to say about this one, however. It's also from Harley MS 3244, the third of four distinctly different scorpion illustrations from that text. You kind of have to respect the artist, I think, for going, "I have no idea what this thing looks like so I'm just going to draw it four different ways and hope I get close."

This one is really skating close to the penalties while not quite crossing the line. It initially looks like a lizard, which would be enough to lose a point for being identifiably something that is not a scorpion ("lizard" is a pretty broad category, but I think it counts). However, I don't think a lizard would have those little ears -- I'm no herpetologist, but those seem un-lizard-like to me. In fact, they seem kind of mammalian... but there's no indication of fur on this guy, so I don't think I quite have enough evidence to take away a point for that.

I did not expect you to kill off Ra’jem so quickly🤧 But her quick demise is a nice contrast to Luna’s slow self-inflicted desiccation. That subtle piece of world building with the waterfall vampire! Many questions: How are vampires made in this? The Ma’ye’s aren’t an Original situation cuz Ra’jem died so easily but now that time has passed are they harder to kill than their sires? Also, are I’jam and Solweh hybrids too or is it only Luna that kept her witch powers? Moving on, really love how the only piece of dialogue in this was Luna telling unknown person to go, even though they’re the first source…. food, for a lack of a better word, she’s been near in probably centuries. Still think that no light seeps through line is gonna be important later on, but I’ll just read and see. Next up: Chapter 3 ~ Reawakening♥️

Legend of Zelda Theme Park - Death Mountain (UPDATED)

Death Mountain is to the north of Castle Town (just as it is usually in the north on the game map). The whole area is sculpted as a reddish-brown canyon landscape, with walkways gently sloping upward toward the artificial volcano which dominates the scene, “erupting” every half hour with a display of pyrotechnics and smoke effects. The volcano in turn is the upper portion of a massive show building which occupies roughly half the area’s footprint and houses several of its attractions. Interior spaces are designed as rocky caves lit by torches and glowing crystals. The exterior background music highlights various iterations of Death Mountain and other mountainous areas in the games, as well as music associated with the Gorons. However, the interior queue space for the two big rides has its own music loop, drawing from fire and volcano-themed dungeons.

Attractions

Spirit Train (Mountain Station)

Crystal Caverns: A very simple attraction, more like a scenic view. The pathways through the Death Mountain area include side branches that veer through short stretches of tunnel lined with multicolored glowing crystals and gemstone veins. (These are marked on the detailed map with squiggly shading.) Make a habit of following these side paths, and you will find one that heads a little deeper into the mountainside, culminating in a spectacular cavern of exotic stone formations and massive crystal clusters that make soft chiming music as their colors shift through the spectrum.

Goro-Gondolas: Not an intense ride, but still exciting on its own terms, the Goro-Gondolas are boats in a flume…but the water is continuously under-lit with warm-toned lights, giving it the appearance of a glowing lava river! The ten to twelve-minute circuit includes lifts and gentle drops, and in the meantime, the boat passes by numerous detailed scenes of Gorons going about their daily lives—mining for choice rocks to eat, tending Bomb Flower gardens, soaking in hot springs, engaging in athletic competitions, rolling from place to place, etc. At other points, similarly lit “leaping” fountains send streams of “lava” arcing over the flume. From time to time, the flume even exits the interior of the mountain, giving riders a view of the area, and at other points, it shares a scene with the Dodongo Dive-Bomb track.

Gut Check Challenge Arena: A play area, but more…advanced than the Picori Picnic Park in the Lost Woods. Named after the Goron-hosted mini-games in Breath of the Wild, this attraction features rock-climbing walls, obstacle courses, and other stamina-testing activities. The especially bold can sign up for the Gut Check Challenge itself, a rock-climbing event held several times a day on the big wall, with real medals awarded to the winners.

Sworn Brothers Meeting Hall: A meet-and-greet location for favorite Goron characters, including Ocarina of Time’s Darunia, Majora’s Mask’s Darmani, and Breath of the Wild’s Daruk and Yunobo.

Dodongo Dive-Bomb: The number just marks the queue entrance–this ride is a big one! Arguably the biggest thrill in the park, it is a mag-launched roller coaster with cars designed to resemble a chain of minecarts. It takes place mostly inside the cinder cone of the volcano, twisting through lava-lit caverns infested with fire-breathing Dodongo lizards, occasionally breaking out into the open before diving right back into the mountain. The climax takes place in a spacious cavern inhabited by a ferocious dragon, and the train makes a loop around its head and neck in order to escape!

Shops

7. From Mine to Yours: A rock and mineral shop offering all sorts of tumbled semiprecious stones, crystals, carved charms and figurines, geodes (with an option to have them cut open on-site), Himalayan salt lamps, stone-based knickknacks, and books about minerals and gems. For those with fancier tastes, there’s even a special sales counter where precious jewelry is available for purchase. In the center of the store is a fountain mimicking a sluice full of gem-bearing slurry, the employees wear overalls and hard hats with mounted headlights, and the shop slogan “Ore and More!” derives from the name of a similar business in Breath of the Wild.

8. Forged in Fire: Being rooted in a medieval(-ish) fantasy franchise is likely to give this theme park some appeal for historical weapons enthusiasts, and this shop is for them, offering a selection of sturdy, functional swords, daggers, axes, and shields, including some replicas of famous designs. (Naturally, various noteworthy swords from the games themselves are among them.) Modern camping/hunting knives are also available, and every purchase of a blade includes a fine hardened leather sheath. However, we can’t have people walking around a theme park with real weapons, so all purchases will be either held at the front of the park for pickup upon exiting, or shipped to the guest for an additional fee. (This is true of any retail location in the park that sells metal weapons, even if they aren’t made to be functional.)

9. Goron Spice Rack: “A spicy nook for spicy cooks” declares the sign out front. Lovers of herbs and seasonings will find much to love in here, with a wide selection of culinary flavorings. Pick a jar or bottle off the shelf or have a mix blended to order! We especially recommend the various types of “Goron Spice” (mostly curry powder and paprika, with assorted variations), made famous by Breath of the Wild.

10. Ripped and Shredded: A shop for sporting goods and memorabilia located next to the Gut Check Challenge Arena. Includes lines of tongue-in-cheek jerseys, caps, and other items referencing peoples, groups, and locations in the LoZ franchise as if they were sports teams. Named after the Goron armor shop in Breath of the Wild.

Eateries

11. Magma Munchies: Adventurous foodies will love this place, where everything on the menu—meat, veggies, fries, and more—is hot and spicy. The intensity ranges widely, from “Hawaiian” (mild curry) all the way up to “Ultra-Plinian” (ghost peppers). Hot sauces are available for purchase at the Goron Spice Rack.

12. Rock Candy Stand: Pretty much exactly what it says: an outdoor kiosk with various colors of traditional rock candy (i.e. sugar crystals on a stick), chocolate “pebbles,” Ring Pops and Pop Rocks, and other mineral-themed sweet treats.

13. Protein Palace: They say the rocky ground of Death Mountain is so hot, you can drop food to cook right on it! That may or may not be true, but this Mongolian BBQ buffet uses a more conventional stainless steel hibachi. Choose a protein (beef, chicken, or tofu) and a selection of vegetables, noodles, sauces, and other ingredients, and your food is cooked up while you watch!
