What do I write?

I write… stuff. BEAUTIFUL, HEARTBREAKING STUFF, mind you. But it’s still stuff, so lemme elaborate.

Speculative fiction - if you idk this, it’s really just a mix of fantasy and sci-fi; the ‘what if’ genre

Urban fantasy - don’t get me wrong, I love high fantasy, but urban is waaay easier to worldbuild

SIMS RELATED PROJECTS/UPDATES

My spring break is coming up in a week and holy crap do I have plans on plans on plans, especially since my summer is gonna be full of school + internship + HOPEFULLY friggin' graduating with a BA in Psychology so that I can start applying to grad schools.

GOAL 1: MASTER GSHADE/ReSHADE

I know that some people are sticklers for this but my thing is that I had no gee-dee clue what I was doing with ReShade, whereas Gshade just kinda clicked and worked for me? That said I have a bunch of resources for learning ReShade so I might end up moving back to it at some point.

My main issue is figuring out the order of all the different effects. It obviously matters, I'm sure people smarter than me have tried to use presets only to be like "why tf does this look absolutely nothing like the baller screenshots this one cool Simblr has?" Annnd it turns out it's order + remembering to turn off certain graphic settings. Also photoshop, but that's gonna take a lot longer for me to figure out lol.

Like I'd been struggling to figure out why @gunthermunch's gorgeous Lithium preset wasn't looking as sexy as it did before annnnd it's because I forgot to turn Edge Smoothing off when switching to it. Jesus wept at how dippy I am sometimes.

Eventually, what I would like to do is maybe make my own preset at some point? I would be kind enough to show the effect order too if I did so. But this requires so, so much more shader knowledge than I currently have.

FUN FACT: My first ever degree was in art, I even went to a very fancy and private art school (School of the Art Institute of Chicago if you're curious)- I dropped out after one semester because uhhh that shit is expensive. Ended up finishing my degree at a much cheaper location in MN. That said, my art was 100% analog and 2D, and it turns out it did not translate super well into trying my hand at graphic art.

It's funny because I've been gifted really neat stuff for graphic art (like a really nice Wacom tablet and Adobe subscriptions), like people just expected my mixed-media ass would know what to do with it. NOPE! But yeah, Sims is sort of my excuse to try my hand at this stuff again, especially since I have a bit more energy now that my soul is not regularly being drained out of my body by customer service and tech support jobs.

GOAL 2: GET CRACKIN' ON ANOTHER DOOR

This one is hard because I am only on Gen 2 of the Orsons and it's sort of hard to justify starting up another story while that one is less than 1/5 of the way done.

THAT SAID, I don't plan on posting Another Door until I have a decent chunk of it done. Since it's not a casual gameplay story nor a legacy challenge, I plan on editing the bajeez out of the screenshots for it, really honing in on the aesthetic. I want it to look and feel very different from my random legacy challenge.

Fortunately, this story has been fucking up my sleep schedule for *months* now and I have a lot of the writing for it done. The hard part is translating that into the Sims, making sure I get the right poses and stuff, maybe even learning how to make some super easy CC (like, posters and stuff), and stuff related to GOAL 1 above.

What I'm saying is that it's going to take a bit. But I'm super serious about sharing it because it's my obsession and honestly the first time a story of my own design has possessed me in literal years.

Also, I want to make sure I have a significant backlog of the Orsons before I start seriously simming for it, because I don't want to screw over my favorite little pixel babies. This legacy challenge is going to be the one, I have done so much to keep my save files to keep it safe from harm (ask me how many backups I have of the save files. JK don't, the number is frankly silly).

GOAL 3: START YET ANOTHER MASSIVE CC PURGE

Y'all, my CC folder for this game is honestly an embarrassment. I go so hard on CC shopping because this community is stupid-talented and I like giving my pixel babies nice things and cool looks. When I'm bored and not quite in the mood for gameplay, I just like making neat-looking sims that I do absolutely nothing with because I love fucking around in CAS.

I have built my own PCs since I was 17 years old, and when I first built COMPUTERMACHINE (current rig) back in the autumn of 2018, it was with the goal that it would run Sims 4 flawlessly no matter what I did to it. It's got ridiculous amounts of RAM, I religiously update parts for it. And to be fair, even with the current 6,907,907,890 TB of CC I have atm it runs better than Sims 3 ever had with a measly 50 GB of CC.

But for me, it comes down to finding all the stuff I wanna use. Making myself get rid of the stuff I don't wanna use. Straight up yeeting the CC that I thought was going to look incredible that uh, didn't deliver.

I do CAS CC purges about once a year but have literally never done it for Build & Buy stuff, because OMG some of this shit I've had since 2014. Like when Sims 4 first came out. YIKES. My CAS CC obsession is notable but it's honestly nothing compared to my Build & Buy. Even before For Rent made building lots slow af, my PC was starting to take a solid minute to switch to different buy categories.

It would take a long af time so I want to make sure I have a bunch of content in the queue before I do it. It's gonna be a whole ass thing and be so, so boring to do. So I'm putting it off for when I have a ton of time to do it. Like, oh, my entire Spring Break?

GOAL 4: MAKE A FRIGGIN' RESOURCES LIST ALREADY

This would obviously need to wait until after GOAL 3 is completed, but I wanna make sure the awesome creators whose stuff I use get credit, and that people know where they can grab neat stuff. It would include not only CC but mods, Gshade/ReShade presets, and maybe even lots and sims I've downloaded from the gallery?

(Since I am super anti-paywall and very unapologetic and rude about it, I will also share where one could perhaps get some of these CCs without paying some dip a Trenta Starbucks Unicorn Frappucino amount of $$$)

It's ambitious as hell because *gestures vaguely at GOAL 3* but it would make things like doing WCIF asks and lookbooks so much easier.

Somewhat relatedly, I wanna make a navigation post, especially once Another Door starts getting posted. That story is gonna be a bit huge with multiple arcs that take place over the course of like, 14 years. Plus once the Orsons get to the 4th+ generation, it would be easier to track things down.

IN CONCLUSION...

I have been having so much fun sharing my silly little Sim adventures on Tumblr, so much more than I ever thought I would! You all have been so great to me, and all of this stuff is sort of a way for me to repay that. Ever since I stopped being able to be artistically creative ever since a really nasty depressive spell in 2017, Sims has been my #1 artistic outlet. And having people who are even somewhat entertained by my pixels is incredibly motivating.

Basically, if you read all of this, DAMN would you have been a rad livejournal follower of mine circa 2007. On the seriousness, however, thank you all so much for being rad and encouraging and sweet. I promise to do you all, if not proud, then at the very least not disappointed.

Idk if you've answered this before or if you've made your own canon for ves and lana but what canon choices did ves make during her class story? Is lana introduced sooner than the revan expansion?

My OCs for each class exist in the same canon verse where my Jedi Knight, Aelirra, is the Outlander and Alliance Commander. Their stories happen in parallel with the game’s main events, with most of their paths converging during the Alliance era, then diverging after. It’s the same for Ves, except she meets Lana much earlier.

For Vestra’s canon choices, I’ll just mention the more ‘significant’ ones? (which really isn’t a lot lol)

On Nar Shaddaa, she chose to cure the plague instead of wiping out the Krayts gang, finding twisted amusement in a Sith being revered as a healer and saviour. She takes over the cult, and has it run to her specifications.

She bound all of the ghosts by force in Act 2, save for Horak-mul on Hoth. Horak seemed eager to go with her, and Ves wanted to know how it feels to bind a ghost willingly. 

In Act 3, she freed the Mother on Belsavis because the machine’s capabilities intrigued her, and she wanted to win it over so that she could look into augmenting herself in future. On Voss, she gave the dream-walking Gormak, Hadrik, passage offworld, and Force persuaded the Voss who confronted her in the airlock. It was the best she'd felt in ages, her mind and body whole once more, and Lord Lenshe was feeling magnanimous enough to hold up her end of the bargain.

For the Silencer CN-12 chip quest, she retained her cult and Force persuaded the Veil into serving her. During the Kaggath, she won over Darth Achelon and Lord Skar as allies, painfully aware that her power base is small and needs to grow beyond Pyron's fleet.

For the final Khem/Zash choice, she kept Khem instead of Zash.

In the end, she gained the canon title of Darth Nox, because she leaned very heavily into the dark side during the class story. (I changed it to Darth Avriss in my fics, cos I’m picky like that) She also released all the ghosts; she was so damn sick of them by then, and craved some time alone.

As for Lana, they meet way back in Act 1. After Ves collected two of four Hord artifacts, Zash recalled her to attend a Sith Lord’s soiree - they met here and had a one-night stand. They’ll meet again on Hoth in Act 2, and have another roll in the sheets. (It’s cold, okay??) After Ves ascended to the Dark Council, they became friends with benefits, and grew closer from there.

By the time Marr asked Ves to help on Makeb, she and Lana were a couple. Ves wasn’t involved with the events of SoR and Ziost (my JK has that…traumatising ‘honour’), but she’s there to catch Lana after Ziost beat her girl down.

During the five years while the Outlander was in carbonite, and Lana’s on the run from the Empire (can’t remember if this is hc or canon), Ves basically acted as Lana’s rock and secret accomplice. The initial idea of forming an alliance to fight the Eternal Empire came from Ves, and while Lana contacts Theron to rustle up Republic support, Ves pulls on her network in the Empire. So when the Alliance is finally formed, most Imperial recruits (and a lot of the initial resources) are there because of Ves. Aelirra may be the Alliance's Commander, but Ves is its sugar mommy.

Annual Rant: Day Light Savings!

This weekend coming up is Daylight Savings time...again. We are in Winter, and approaching Spring...so we are going to “Spring Forward”. On a brighter, warmer, note...we get our first day of Spring on March 20th this year (2023). As a cali girl, I must say I have not seen a winter like this for a long time if ever. That aside, let’s talk clocks. 

Let’s start with the history of Daylight Savings: According to Wikipedia: “ DST was first implemented in the US with the Standard Time Act of 1918, a wartime measure for seven months during World War I in the interest of adding more daylight hours to conserve energy resources. Year-round DST, or "War Time", was implemented again during World War II.” Now, many of us have not experienced a war, so it’s easy to wonder why you would need this. The history dictates the future of anything, right? I remember years ago, it was on the voting book to do away with Daylight Savings. Which I remember asking, what is the point of it anyways? But it remained, only to be brought up again in 2022. As of 2023, we are still doing so, but I see the days of changing our locks to be fewer in the future. There is a difference between state level and federal level, so we will stay tuned and see what happens. As of right now, unless something changes, in November we “fall back” and get that hour of sleep back. Do we have any voting sessions between now and then? LOL JK. Did it help to have this at one point? Yes. Does it now? Things have changed so much in just 100 years or less. Change, such a funny thing in life. When I complain about the time change, am I really looking forward to getting my hour of sleep back in November? Nah, I don’t like changing. Change is the only constant in life, but how many people even like life? 

Be mindful of your relationship with change, use your time well-you only have so much of it in this particular lifetime. Watch the difference between all of your clocks, and sleep in saturday! Would you vote to keep DST in place? Inquiring minds want to know!

If you want a fun quirky Austen movie, Northanger Abbey is RIGHT there.

You could absolutely shoot it in two palettes. Something vibrant for real life, and something muted and gothic for Catherine's interpretation of what's going on around her. And just have FUN with it. Instead of the Persuasion adaptation that doesn't seem to have even read the Spark Notes.

So not only did they not acknowledge what’s an issue, why it’s an issue - they basically said that your pain is not equal to someone else’s wish for a HP palette. And then said that they’re going to try to ethically offset the harm JKR will cause by making donations (but not volunteering an amount).  Which PS - you can’t do that.

Also: ignoring that suicide is a major issue for Trans youth while doing this is incredibly shitty.

TL;DR - ColorPop is releasing a HP line and lost me as a customer.

Hi Goldy, JK was bold in the past, around 2017-2019 (to me, gcf & rosebowl can be considered as ‘coming out’). But it seems he now prefers to stay closeted? E.g. he snatched JM’s hand in the Xylitol x BTS shoot, then looked at the camera. Holding hands is normal among members… a lot of his interactions with Jin, V and other members are more intimate than holding hands… his reaction makes me feel like he wants me to pretend I didn’t know…?

It's nothing new really. I think a few months back when I was out here screaming Jikook are toning down, acting super professional around the cameras yadda yadda people out here were looking at me like I'd lost my two delulu heads- but this segues into that theme for me and since I've exhausted the topic I don't know what else to add.

I've said before they've both been very conscious of the cameras within certain periods post October- again nothing new, they be like that every now and then every season every phase and the whys will always be up for debate in these ship streets- on that subject, I've read a lot of opinions yet I think like mine better and will stick to it. Thanks Kimberly of Delulu precinct. Walk along now. Lol.

Jimin was like that during the Coway behind the scene shoot too when he noticed the cameras and quickly elbowed Jk to draw him away from the gaze of the cameras.

I don't think it's because they stopped being 'bold' or want to pretend. It takes a lot of courage to even pretend or even perform the gay in front of the world and your peers. I think they are just awfully aware and conscious of the people they work with as well as corporation's growing awareness, intentions and interests in them. You just never know which saessang is moonlighting as a brand PA or marketing director for a company they are working with. You just never know who is watching especially whenever they have to work with these 'outsiders.'

Think of Dispatch. Were they not allies or business partners, they'd be careful around them too if they worked with them. Know what I mean?

Toning down and exercising caution is necessary sometimes. I don't know why some people think that's absurd or Tuktukkerish when I say stuff like that. Especially with the kind of reputation they have as a ship and just how commercially attractive that image is. It's common sense at this point if you ask me.

Jikook sells. Argue with the analytics. I don't know who thinks they don't. Must be the clowns and penguins. They sell period. BigHit knows this, BTS knows this, companies know this. We don't scream Jikook is a brand within a brand for no reason.

And a lot of the toning down in recent times has perhaps inadvertently mitigated that growing power and demand of them as a marketing resource- who knows, that could have as well been by design, intentionally instigated for obvious reasons which I argue is the case but don't mind me. I'm delusional, gay and apparently the man of my woman's dreams uWu. Gotta wear that pants in my relationship. Ayaya Hwaiting.

When you say he prefers to stay closested- I thought they are both closested already?? They both have never been fully out in our opinion. Yes our opinion because I feel we are like minded. Let's be delulu mates.

On the topic of closets, I want to save that for a separate post. What I can say though is they are both growing and maturing and learning and unlearning. Jungkook's desire to 'come out' or act reckless with his glass closet in my opinion stemmed from him placing more value on his personal happiness over other values perhaps because he was young and hadn't fully grasped the full and complex nature of happiness or understand the privilege he has as part of BTS.

We make decisions based on our values most times. It's how I make sense of their actions really. I'm more likely to assume things that are consistent with the values they each have expressed openly and tend to reject any theory that contradicts or is inconsistent with those values. A guy who values his career is less likely to act in a way that puts that career at risk. And I'm well aware their values evolve over time.

These days he has never quit as one of his mottos next to rather dead than cool- do you see the contradictions in those values? Rather dead means quitting life. Yet now he says never quit. Don't mind me. I'm in a grumpy mood.

But what I'm saying is, the desire to want to show the world who this person means to him is not fixed or a priority all the time. Now i think he values his career a lot more than before which means he is more likely to compromise and less likely to do things that may put that career in jeopardy.

Transferring that to his relationship, I don't expect him to be breaching the glass closet anytime soon. And if he do, it might be incidental and may carry with it consequences which I believe he is well aware and concious of now. Will that change? You bet. Again it depends a lot on what his values in a given moment are and which ones he prioritizes.

It's their relationship. They chose which aspects of it they want to share with the cameras. Some of it get written off as fanservice. Fair enough. But the nonfanservice passing moments has always been questionable- although I must say, I find all Jikook moments and interactions questionable lol.

It's just skinship. Holding hands I mean. Why would he be conscious of that right? II'vetalked about consequences and repercussions of their actions. Sometimes I think it's the off screen scolding that gets to him. The ones silently whispered at his back. I mean we saw his reaction when Jimin was getting scolded by the hyungs for sleeping late. He's talked about skipping sleep too if I recall correctly. Jimin is hyung and I know the hyungs expect him to know better and do better. I'd Imagine Jimin would equally scold JK if his actions reflected poorly on him too.

So why the hell would he not say anything to Jungkook for posting on his birthday when he hadn't posted at all for any hyung's??? Sigh.

It's sad his guards are back up- but it's for good reason I believe given the context of the situation.

I don't think dramatizing his dynamic with Jimin makes him bold. Nor does Jimin's propensity to over express himself with Jungkook mean he loves Jungkook more than. Both are extreme takes for me.

Nevertheless, I contrast that moment with a Tae Kook moment which is one of my favorite tuktukk moments. In this moment, JK is staring at Jimin, his whole body turned towards him. Tae in that moment reminded me a lot of Jimin. Jimin does this too- play out their relationship infront of the cameras to the point one might say he likes to show off their bond- which is such a BTS thing to do too so no big deal. I mean they like to show off their bond and chemistry as Tae said a while back.

It's one thing for JK to hesitate to act with a member because of the cameras, it's another for him to act self conscious only after the fact.

And JK has always been him like this with Jimin as Jimin used to say- JK acts different with me off cameras than he is on camera. He had a history of suppressing himself around Jimin owing in part to his personality

He's talked about putting on a mask around people and in a recent interview Jimin have talked about pretending and acting one way when he's not- I mean I've ever talked about the boy being in love with the Maknae being a facade- one of many.

They have public personas which, from what BTS themselves say, looks slightly different or similar to what we see on screens- or that they've grown to be more like what we see on screens.

I guess what I'm getting at is that 'pretending' isn't exactly a new thing or out of the ordinary. Personally I'd say he's being conscious of his surroundings like Jimin was and not that he is 'pretending.' If you know what I mean.

If he's pretending he has good reason to I believe and we can only speculate on that- we can't know for sure why.

If Jikook is fanservice then there's no need for either of them to worry about the cameras picking up on their interactions or who's watching them.

I would save it for later, but it's gonna be awhile until the duo show up again and I am impatient!! Also, no read more because I want the world to know about her and him. >:3

Belle comes from a long line of wizards from the Grailams Kingdom, which is renown for its resources and skilled sorcery (more in detail later.)

She thought that powers was cool, but it was the boring, strict and all the rules of magic that bored her. She KNEW Electricity Element already, so couldn't that be enough?

It didn’t help that her younger brother had to be interested in all the different types of magic. The little nerd even got a Familiar! An Owl, which is fitting, and she’s proud of him because that’s such a big deal, but it was just exhausting.

Things weren’t as bad in this universe, and she simply moves out as soon as she’s able to, but she doesn’t really have anywhere to go. So she just roams, stealing and taking on tasks nobody wants to ... (side quests, lol), Soon she gets caught up in a years-long scheme to achieve a certain big goal of hers. Operation Caper, as she mentioned. (which will be revealed later.)

Lastly, her silver arm is actually a curse she puts to great use along with her Electric prowess. She has the Midas Touch, except it isn’t Gold. She covers it up with a glove (which is a thin silver/steel now.) So like, those arrows and electric wall in part 5? All her.

Who cursed her, you ask? You’ll see~ (maybe--)

Edgar is from a certain rundown Kingdom that didn’t leave much resources for the ones growing up there, so he actually is pretty feral and got into scraps to survive.

Belle picked him up while she was there (as she tends to adopt anyone in any universe honestly.) visiting for a certain odd job she took on. Probably tried to rob her and nearly got himself turned into a metal statue as a result.

So while she has more people in her unofficial Gang, Edgar is the one who travels with her the most. (Everyone else is like, stationed at certain kingdoms for the Scheme.)

His hooded scarf is an enchanted piece that he actually traded for. (Grailams people love getting rare ingredients from far off lands because they’d prefer not to travel.) So he really loves nabbing rare stuff for Wizards.

He half heartedly tried “reverse engineering” the magic so he could dabble in the Arts too, but there’s way too much behind it, so he just relies on it and is quite protective of it, and all of the things he owns now.

And, you’re right, he should have won but Shelly IS the main character. (jk, jk.)

As a final note, I imagine SH Belle with a bow and arrow, but if it were an actual skin, she would likely have a crossbow to fit in with her model.

Beauty & the Beast

Jin is succumbed to become the hostage of the beast in exchange for his parent’s safety. Initially, he was very cold to [Name] the beast because she had confined him, and she was the reason why he had become separated from his family. However, although he was ‘imprisoned,’ he was not treated as a prisoner. In fact, he was given a lavish life that was even better than the one he lived with his family.

It happened slowly, but it happened for surely. Jin began to warm up to the new life he lived. Also, he became intrigued about what [Name] the beast was really like, when he heard stories about her kindness, and selfness from the tea pots and other talking furniture. He started to see how sweet she was in the little ways that made his heart skip a beat. Her benevolent nature  was evident in the way she would tenderly cater to the plants in her garden, or how softly she would read to him.

Without becoming too aware of it, Jin was beginning to become fixated on [Name]. He did not realize the full potential of his fixation on [Name] until she was attacked by his villagers. The moment [Name] fainted, and was no longer able to stand, much less fight for herself, rage blinded him enough to go on a killing rampage. Once his rampage ceased, and the blood of his enemies covered him, he stumbled back to [Name], who was lying motionlessly.

He cradled her in his arms, and tears of silent mourning rolled down his cheeks. The moment one landed on [Name], there was a bright glow as she turned back into the human she was.

Jin was in awe of her beauty. Meanwhile, [Name] woke up terrified due to all the blood that covered him.

“J-Jin what h-hap—“ She tried to ask, however Jin cut her off.

“Shh,” He began, as he brought her closer to himself, and hugged her tightly. “I killed them because they hurt you and tried to take you away from me. But you don’t have to worry because I will never let that happen again. You are mine forever.”

Yoongi 

Sleeping Beauty

Before his slumber until awaken by a true kiss had begun, Prince Yoongi was a collector and admirer of all things beautiful. He loved to marvel at anything which fit his standards. If there was ever an antique which there was only one of, and Yoongi had set his sight on it, every competitor during his era knew to let him have it for their own sake.

In the new era he now lived in, he was the lost prince who had returned. He was given the right to rule the current throne in his kingdom almost immediately.  After his power reigned, the new competitors learned to stay out of Yoongi’s way the hard way.

See, [Name] was his destined princess who was the one who had broken his curse. Out of everyone else, and all other possibilities,it had been her. So surely, it was fateful for her to belong to Yoongi and no one else.

Yoongi had become infatuated with [Name] the moment he had seen her. Now, that infatuation had become so extreme that he was going to stop at nothing until she was completely his. Anyone who tried to prevent that from happening, were certainly going to face consequences which would be worse than death.

Hoseok 

Aladdin

For his entire, Hoseok had been isolated from the outside world. He had his freedom restricted within his home.  He never got to experience life for its raw experiences, create meaningful relationships with others, or explore the ways excitement and adrenaline felt until he met [Name]. Granted that she had peaked his interest unfairly through the wishes the genie gave her, and she portrayed herself to be the status she was not. However, what she had shown Hoseok, what she had made him feel was all on her own terms. The parts of life she showed him took his breath away.

Hoseok experienced what it was like to live in a situation for what it was; in which limitations existed, and no one catered to him like a baby. He got to taste true freedom and build the courage to make his own decisions, all because of [Name]. In his dull life that once only consisted of materialistics and statuses, she had become his light, and  shown on the colours he yearned to see.

Eventually, he became addicted to her light to the point he planned to shroud her entire life with the darkness he had to live in. This was so he could return the favour, and become her light in her darkness, the way she had for him.

Namjoon 

Snow White

It was no new news to anyone in the kingdom that the current Queen [Name] [Surname], hated one of the local aristocrats Kim Namjoon with a burning passion. To the public, their relationship seemed like a small rivalry which caused them to always banter, or attempt to hurt each other out of innocent jealousy or spite. However, in reality, their relationship went a lot deeper than that. It was a lot more dangerous and toxic than what others could see it as.

Firstly, [Name] wanted to hunt and get rid off Namjoon because she was envious of his attractive appearance. He was everything that she wanted to be, and held all the titles that she wanted to have. [Name] wished to be known as the most divine and beautiful person in her Kingdom. She was incredibly pretty, but Namjoon was the perfection she could not beat. Hence, she wanted his existence to cease.

However, despite her attempts to send assassins to kill him, none ever succeeded. Her predicament actually led the situation in a direction she had not anticipated. It was in the direction where Namjoon had come to love her for her hatred and glory, and he loved the excitement of the chase and action he experienced due to her hunting him. For him, this had all turned into a game, and this game was nearing its end when he was the one who had captured [Name] instead.

“You can’t— you can’t get rid off me,” [Name] stammered in fear, while Namjoon backed her into a corner. His lips were spread across his face in a sinister grin, and there was madness glinting in his eyes.

“Oh baby, I’m not going to get rid off you. You are too much fun at the moment for that to happen. Instead, I’m going to hunt and chase you now until you break and submit to me.”

Jimin  

Cinderella

For the majority part of his life, Jimin had lived in cruel circumstances where he was treated like an abomination. He was forced to cook, clean, and serve the people that was ‘supposed’ to be his family, but never treated him as such. Despite everything that he did for them, they never repaid him with even the smallest act of kindness. It was not farfetched to say that Jimin had not been genuinely happy for years. But this, and everything else in his life changed from the night he sneaked into the ball which was hosted by the princess.

He only went to the ball because he simply wanted to enjoy himself for one night by dancing through its entirety. However, fate had better plans written for him because he attracted the attention of the princess. She was the first one in years to smile so fondly at him, and treat him with kindness, and as the person he was.

His time with the princess in that night was absolutely magical; he loved every moment of it. For this reason, after being wedded to the princess and through starting their new life together, he came to cherish her kind personality a bit too much.

He turned into a possessive tyrant who wanted to be the only one to receive her kindness, and relentlessly punished others who dared to avert her sweet attention away from him.

Taehyung 

Swan Lake

In this tale of magic and romance, Taehyung was a cursed prince who spent his days as a swan, and nights as a human in loneliness. There was no one for him to converse with, spend his time with, or to love. Until one day, a princess came along. She visited his abode in the evenings to escape her royal life, and for a “breath of fresh air.” She caressed his soft feathers lovingly, and told him the tales of her world. She become the sole light in Taehyung’s darkness, and he was enamored.

One night, he promised to himself that the next evening when the princess visited, he would reveal his identity to her. He believed that by doing this, she will fall in love with him too, and as a result, his curse would end.

However, when the princess never visited again, and Taehyung found out about her marriage to another, he was enraged.

Finally, he decided to set out on a journey to find his princess. He swore to end the person who dared to try and steal her away from him, in the cruelest way he could.  

Jungkook 

The Little Mermaid (lol how original. It's not like I already have a whole story with this au for JK and just reusing it for this thread because I was out of ideas)

Jungkook is the new crowned King for the merfolk. Under the sea, unlike humans, merfolk only consisted of males. Jungkook was already obsessed with humans to the point he spent his entire time and resources to gather intel on them and neglected his duties for his people. However, his obsession went to new extreme levels when he saved a drowning woman, and became besotted by her beauty.

The softness of her skin, to the memorizing sight of her drowning face -- Jungkook was immersed and was willing to go beyond any limits to have her his. Compared to his need to find [Name] on the shore and own her as a possession, everything else fell short and became insignificant. His responsibility as the new ruler for his people, or consideration for the life [Name] lived as a human was disregarded. All that mattered to Jungkook was [Name], and that she should belong to him.

since Hoe County has no wifi.. no Netflix so they have to use good old fashioned dvd’s and VHS… or y’know just regular tv. They probably switch, I dunno what Nicolas likes to watch (he strikes me as a thriller/crime movie kinda person) but when it’s Laura’s turn she ether chooses shitty romcoms from the early 2000′s or Thrillers :^)

when they’re in the bunker they’re left with whatever bad movies they have down there… I think at this point they just watch whatever they can find.

20. Where do they go on holiday?

doesn’t really apply but if they met earlier they’d probably visit europe.. maybe paris lol they seem like they’d enjoy it there.. also maybe camping. they’re both city people, they might try that once and immediately regret it lol.

I can’t imagine them having a lot of big fights tbh (I mean. everyone has them so they’re out there but not that much).. I think in the beginning Laura would be a little suspicious about the whole ~secretive attitude he has before they get closer.. I think there was one scenario where he tries to flirt with her and says something like “if I told you I’d have to kill you” and she thinks he really means it and is like “dont try, demon!”.. I don’t think they have a lot of big fights though I mean there are disagreements sometimes but not that much..

OWO it works very well, they’re from a similar background (good ol’ suburban upper middle class family, privileged but lonely childhood) and ended up choosing paths that seem to be complete opposites - he’s with the secret service which is about.. protecting the orange clown & being.. well… secretive I guess (I’m not american idk), meanwhile Laura is a television reporter and very dedicated to uncovering the truth because she believes that it’s the right thing to do.. but they have a common goal - f*cking up those peggies and saving the people they lost to them. They’re a great team and that develops into something more - he’s resourceful, skilled in a fight and so loyal to his family.. and she genuinely enjoys his presence a lot, he’s fun and also the only one from a city around njsdkjkfs.. Laura can’t help but fall for him even though she didn’t want to (after a messy breakup).. I can’t speak for Nicolas since he’s not my oc but. [Todd Howard voice] it just works!

This scene needs no explanation obvs, but here’s a tiny one. After exhausting all of his resources, Barry has officially given up on saving everyone. He goes to Iris to say his goodbyes, because that’s where he wants to be when it all ends. It’s torture for him to even just approach her, knowing he’s going to have to tell her how he failed. Then he proceeds to fall apart in her arms. Despite being terrified herself, Iris holds him up, comforts him, takes their last moments for what they are, precious. Barry finally says the iconic line. It triggers a solution in Iris, a BIG KISS from the Flash and a “come back to me” from Iris with a smiley Barry Allen now promising he will, as fast as he can. I just- Their most powerful, emotional, impactful scene to date. Nothing tops it.

2) “I love you, Barry.” -Iris

There’s a reason this is the life-changing moment that pops up in Barry’s mind every time he loses/gains memories/goes back in time (3.01/3.21/5.08). THE FIRST TIME IRIS TELLS BARRY SHE LOVES HIM. And not only that, but she tells him she’ll wait for him as long as it takes. She understands what he’s going through, and she will WAIT. HE’s her future now. Oh, and then there’s the little thing of him RECIPROCATING HER FEELINGS OUT LOUD. As far as their feelings go, they’re FINALLY on the same page. Tbh, I don’t watch this scene that often anymore, b/c it’s hard to enjoy the beauty of it knowing what comes after, and that this moment is lost in time everywhere but Barry’s memory. Still, until 4.15, it was the top fav. It may not be a steamy kiss, but it’s aesthetically beautiful and the turning point for Barry in his relationship with Iris, maybe even more than her 2.20 confession was.

Okay, come on, you knew this had to be in here. Lol. This ep was so, so good. And honestly tied for 4.15 at this point. Iris confesses She has feelings for Barry TO Barry when it looks like they’re about to die. He immediately tells her he feels the same. They KISS. I know some people hate this kiss b/c Iris isn’t moving her mouth too much, but honestly she’s still processing I’m sure. She’s just letting him show her how much he loves her, openly the way he’s been DYING to. I love it. I’ve watched it like a ridiculous amount of times. Plus the expression on their faces before and after just send my chill right out the window. Lol. Oh, and I love the Flash reveal almost immediately after. Couldn’t be more perfect if it TRIED.

seriously, I’m really tired of this attitude that, just because someone doesn’t like something (or just because they do like something at times), that all headcanons to the contrary are suddenly... invalid???

like u can have a divergent opinion about something while also not insulting or undermining the legitimacy of ppl who disagree with you? idk.... it’s a movie....

I HC loki as someone who will endure trauma as a means to an end, someone who is reckless with his own safety if the end game is worth it (or even not worth it at times). And sure he’s cunning and resourceful and smart, but he’s also wildly unstable emotionally. He doesn’t view himself as worthy of good things.

So while sure, he’s more than capable of self-preservation, he also has to think he deserves self-preservation in order to, you know, actually self-preserve. And often, I don’t think he does? Because it’s Just Trauma. it’s Just His Body. it’s Just Pain. it’s Just His Life.

And I’m not pulling this out of my ass!!!! Loki’s continuous traumatic experiences, his emotional instability, and his lack of self-preservation can* be supported throughout the text, guys. For example:

obvious trauma shit that must have happened with Thanos

letting go of Gungnir in the first place

getting himself captured by the Avengers as a distraction for Hawkeye

saving Jane from getting imploded by creepy Dark Elf bomb by almost getting imploded instead (furthermore, did he know thor would save him? probably not... thats some fucked up shit)

letting himself be run through by Kursed in order to save Thor

other examples that I’m too lazy to think atm but might add later

and yessss letting Grandmaster dick him down for a later potential to overthrow

(*Note: I said it can be supported. Not that it is the only way of doin the reading)

So yeah, Loki has a habit of both experiencing trauma at the hands of powerful individuals and letting himself fall into dangerous situations as a means to an end. (Is the Grandmaster a powerful individual? Yes. And Thor’s captivity proves it, too.)

The only thing new about the dubcon Fr/stmaster ship is that the trauma took a considerably sexual turn - that doesn’t make it Not-Trauma. And even the fact that it’s sexual doesn’t come out of left field... Loki molds himself to the situation he’s in, and the Grandmaster is clearly only interested in a Select Number of Things (i.e. sex, gladiator pits, and ppl who can provide resources for the previous two.) Maybe Loki could have done the latter of the three, but again - he has continuously shown that he doesn’t go out of his way to self-preserve. This  doesn’t break any pattern, according to how I've headcanoned the text.

In short, you don’t have to like dubcon Fr/stmaster, you can headcanon that Loki would never allow himself to be abused like this and still be valid, but don’t be acting like I’ve pulled shit out of my ass to make it happen because that’s Bullshit tbh. :)
