Unpopular opinion: All games should have the option to enable pausing.

Yes even in soulslike games.

I am an adult who has a full time job and responsibilities. I get to play maybe an hour a week. I do not want to lose that hour of progress because devs decided 'pause' was not allowed in their game and I had sudden unexpected things come up that meant I had to quit the game without saving/leave it playing and hope enemies wouldn't respawn.

Also it would massively increase accessability. I have fully working non-injured hands and they still need a break after a tough boss fight. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be for people with joint pain, arthritis, etc, etc.

I feel like there should be a place for uncomplicated enjoyment of any media.

If I choose to ignore the critiques of something that I love, it doesn't mean that I believe the act of critique is invalid or that there's something wrong with people doing that. It does mean that I am choosing not to engage with it.

I don't think that I or anyone else should have to defend their decision to enjoy a piece of art for its own sake.

People can criticize Good Omens 2 as much as they please and sometimes I’ll get what they’re saying but for some reason my soul won’t accept it. I will see that “Good Omens critical” tag and my automatic response is “nuh uh” every time no matter how well thought out the argument is. I just LOVE IT too much, man. Some people think it seems rushed and that the queer content/characters were shoved in there without much care, but the thing is there was so much love and talent put into the season and it’s so funny and so good that when people don’t like it, I get sad. Even though it’s literally an interest of mine that I am under no obligation to defend. I don’t see any flaws when I watch it to be completely honest, I cannot be unbiased when it comes to a show that I love this much. And when people point out the flaws they see, I just can’t agree and I know that’s not a good way of thinking but it’s just how my brain works.
