so i've decided to watch through every episode that gallifrey appears in and take notes on them (not doing this for every episode a non doctor time lord is in because that's too many) for the purposes of either ranking them, figuring out the lore, or later comparing eu depictions of time lords to how they're shown in the show, i'll figure it out later. this little intro thing is basically just for myself to make a post where i can put the highlights of my notes (very much not putting all of them since so far its been an average of 1.5 pages of notes per episode)

Llora: The Home Galaxy of Gary

Llora is Gary's home galaxy, and it can be thought of as a space or alien version of Germany, though with some differences. The inhabitants of Llora are divided into two main races: Herzt and Norsk.

Norsk: This race is inspired by ancient Viking and Norse Scandinavian cultures. Most of them have blonde hair, and some (though a minority) follow Norse mythology, believing in gods like Odin, Thor, Loki, and Heimdall. They also believe that the capital planet of Llora, Minisk is akin to Asgard, the home of the Aesir gods. Norsk originally come from planets Minisk, Jerze, and Fjoshr. In ancient times, they were skilled miners, hunters, builders, and blacksmiths, capable of crafting vehicles and melee weapons.

Herzt: This race, with dark hair, has a distinct Celtic-Teutonic vibe. As you might guess from Gary's full name, Gary Erwin O'Fionnaghal, he belongs to the Herzt clan. They adopted a form of Catholicism brought by the Jesto people through trade. In ancient times, the Herzt were mostly farmers, experts in agriculture, medicine, and metal sculpting. They excelled in sculpting metal for tools, weapons, and infrastructure, including buildings and houses. They were also the first to create firearms and iconic musical instruments, like one resembling a Kithara. Interestingly, they are also credited with inventing beer. The Herzt originally came from the planets Vinz, Drien, and Nitz.

Both races share a writing system similar to ancient Norse runes. Over time, they developed a common language, now known as the Llora dialect of German, and these runes became their official alphabet. Culturally, both the Herzt and Norsk are known for being quite barbaric. A notable aspect of their culture is the normalization of same-sex relationships, which have been accepted since ancient times, long before Earth was struck by Theia.

Ida: The Home Galaxy of Johann

Ida is Johann’s home galaxy, and its people, the Bezantia, are like a space or alien version of the British. However, their culture is about 4.5/100 similar to ancient Rome and Sparta.

The Bezantia are known for their fighting skills and iconic martial arts. In battle, they are ruthless and fierce, similar to the Spartans. They train in special battle arenas with various challenges, such as spear duels, sword duels, climbing, and chariot combat. Even in modern times, these training grounds are used to test individuals aspiring to enter the military or intelligence academies. Johann himself trained in such an academy, which is why he's so skilled.

Bezantians were pioneers in technology, developing it from the rich natural resources in their territory. They are hardworking and renowned explorers. Despite their fierce nature, Bezantians are deeply loyal to their comrades and care deeply for one another, like brothers. If one of their own goes missing or dies, they feel a profound sense of loss. They used to have their own mythology, with gods like Agnethe, the Goddess of War, and Tigenar, the God of Wisdom. After they found Olimpa, they changed course of their mythology towards Olympus gods, renaming the origin gods with their own custom. However, with the arrival of the Jesto people, followers of the Olympus mythology have dwindled. Their old language was Latin, which evolved into the British English they speak now.

Olimpa: The Alien Version of Greece

The race from Olimpa is called the Toze, and as you might expect from the name, they are devout worshippers of gods like Zeus, Hera, Artemis, Apollo, Athena, Ares, Hades, and Poseidon. Mount Olympus is located on their capital planet, and they have a temple there as well. Historically, this race was fanatically devoted to their mythology.

In ancient times, the Toze were a poor civilization. When the Ida (Bezantia) tried to help them, the Toze rejected their assistance, leading to a war between the two. The Toze were defeated and eventually apologized to the Ida. For a time, Olimpa became part of the Ida Empire. Even after Ida left the empire, Olimpa remained an ally, benefiting from their advancements in technology and civilization. Without Ida, Olimpa would likely have remained underdeveloped. Sadly, in my current lore this galaxy has been completely wiped out after being conquered by Llora, and no Toze remain.

Civilization Timeline

In my lore, the Ida civilization (Bezantia) is the oldest, followed by Llora (Herzt and Norsk), and finally Olimpa (Toze). The Ida are the most advanced technologically.

Unique Traits of Each Race

- Herzt: If one of their body parts is cut off, it will grow back.

- Norsk: They have three lives.

- Ida/Bezantia: They can live up to 200 years.

- Toze: None

There are more other races in my lore , and I'm sure I will plan to develop them later!

Clearing out my sketches

I made this months ago lmao...like before shadow's squid form lmao.

baby baby baby!! baby shadow would have a little "U" like knuckles, I think. The original idea was that his ears were more like growths, like Doom's.

His spines would crack apart at some point, which is why the stripes are like a blackarms. His ears would better develop later, meaning his infant life was muffled, leaving him largely silent during the first few months of his creation.

The food thing is real. Thats not a HC, my man likes cheese, pizza and coffee--italian coded frfr.

this is going in my notes, but i felt the need to make a post about it as well

this bit is really interesting to me, especially the part where brax says that he doubts the time lords would have let him leave. it seems perfectly understandable that they wouldn't want renegades out there messing with the reputation that they have built for themselves, but it does make me wonder just how hard it is to actually become a renegade, like the implication here is that if the time lords knew about brax wanting to leave, they would have stopped him, we also know that tardis landings (and presumably departures) and the space surrounding gallifrey are monitored, plus you'd probably have to worry about the matrix recording your actions and someone possibly seeing that, so what would it actually take to leave gallifrey

(also there is the fact that brax has left gallifrey, he's spent a considerable amount of time off world, and it seems that the braxiatel collection is a known thing, so does that mean the time lords know (to an extent) about his off planet adventures, do they know what they actually are or are they dressed up as something more acceptable like diplomatic trips or something? or is it just that becoming a renegade means also rejecting time lord society and brax clearly hasn't done that, so his ventures off gallifrey are seen as acceptable) (or well, at least tolerable)

According to Tzinn, things happen that can give the lamb some sort of high or overwhelm them. What causes either of these to happen?

Doey, unfortunately, has a very hardy stomach and can digest and breakdown a lot of things humans (and other toys) struggle with. That combined with the fact that size is not an issue meant that they often would toss him failed experiments or toys who just passed away from poor conditions for mealtime. This was before cannibalism was required for survival, he’d stall out eating as long as he could manage (which also wasn’t nearly as long as post HOJ where lack of food meant he learned to handle being hungry for longer). This isn’t to say other toys weren’t fed corpses before, just that for Doey the scientists didn’t have to bother “processing” it at all. Neither 1217 or 1219 are allowed to accompany him during mealtimes, though their presence can be used as a threat to speed up eating.

The other one is just how Doey is susceptible to extreme heat just as much as extreme cold, plasticine melts instead of drying out. It is not considered a useful method of punishment because it leaves him technically mobile still, unlike freezing.

It is!! Another little creature has arrived! And it's so fluffy too! Though that isn't gonna do much in this hot weather!

That's right guys, Rain Wool is back in business!! Now that I'm getting back into the swing of needle-felting and FINALLY have lots more core wool to make all sorts of projects with, it's only right that I keep on going with this project, especially since, after Saint, I'm only one away from being done with the slugcats! I apologize for waiting so long to continue on with this project, but going forward I hope to start felting more of these guys more frequently.

In the meantime, however, I'm happy to finally share this fluffy little green bean!

It probably isn't very visible in these images, but on the cheeks, arms, and tail I intentionally left the wool less felted in for a softer, fluffier appearance. Since I have barely any of the straight wool roving felters normally use for long hair, this is my general go-to method for fluffy creatures.

I still think he looks adorable though, and I'm so excited to be close to finishing the slugcats!

For the past 2 years Jamie has bounced from job to job due to a constant string of minor incidents. These incidents turn out to be due to a curse of inconveniences that she was unaware of.

The set up to the story is that Jamie gets hired as Alana's 'bodyguard' , which she jumps on for the chance at a pay cheque.

Now she has to deal with suddenly finding out about the hidden magic world, finding who the heck cursed her in the first place, and the bubbly vampire now in her charge.
