This Day in Buster…February 26, 1925
Buster Keaton’s crew got that sinking feeling on the set of “The Navigator” if this story printed in the Central City Nonpareil is to be believed.  Pictured is the crew filming “The High Sign” on what we assume was a much safer vessel!

Being a Dum Dum runs in the family :) Also, if you haven't seen the movie, I totally recommend it. It's an old movie but definitely worth watching.

Now time to check out what's going on in the kitchen. You guys get to choose the next update: if the oven dies or survives

Leonardo slumped against the chair of the two seat table near the back. The restaurant wasn't officially closed, but the only tables occupied weren’t his tables, so as far as he was concerned he was done for the day. Well no, not really. He had to help roll silverware for tomorrow and vacuum the floors and count his tips and— Leonardo groaned.  “Is everything alright, Pepino?”  Leonardo tilted his head up to look at Hueso who carried a stack of freshly cleaned menus in his arms.  He collapsed again. “Is it ever alright anymore?”

thinking about katrina feeling very self destructive and in a fight is Sad yes but it's also so fun and interesting for me to think about because there is such a palpable energy shift from when she's fighting out of anger or because she has to vs when she wants to. when she's indulging. she's shit talking. she's getting hit and grinning. they land a punch on her and she laughs in their face. she's energized. there's something very much unstable about her and it's visible

The dialogue between Catiua and Martym (and Barbas) in the Hanging Gardens has undergone a minor yet unexpected change in the English Tactics Ogre Reborn script!
So Catiua questions the Dark Knights’ motives and lectures Martym and Barbas on their own country’s history while expressing her disdain toward them and her respect for Lanselot’s strategy. All is the same with the exception of the last bit between Catiua and Martym:

Martym no longer answers Catiua with an insult and a threat but sarcastically argues back.

I've finished jotting down a summary for that shape shifter thing but I'm not happy with the ending. Like I cried writing it don't get me wrong, but it's almost verbatim what happens in that demon thing, not that one, the other one. Not that one either, the one with the big fuck named Turkey and his apprentice, Dumbass.
The one ruined by their partner gets the chance to murder them but ends up not being able to go through with it because for all their anger and sorrow there's too much love between them to be rid of them yet.
Like Vibes wise it's different. Esti has been blinded and has spent the last few days being tormented by monsters with Pavo's voice. When Pavo comes for him he knows it's the real Pavo when he stabs him and doesn't get hurt in retaliation, leaving Esti to decide whether to let the man who killed his parents and has effectively been holding him as some kind of war trophy die or to heal him.
Lou is confronting Monty about Monty attempting to kill him years ago and purposefully hiding Lou's identity from him because he rightly assumed Lou would be pissed with him. Monty doesn't fight because he fully believes it's his just deserts, if anyone deserves to kill him it's Lou and being dead would hurt a lot less than Lou hating him.
Esti can't kill Pavo even though Pavo has let him. Lou can't kill Monty, even though Monty isn't fighting. They both deserve it, but that doesn't matter. Esti wouldn't know how to function without Pavo, Lou doesn't want to lose the only person who loved him no matter what type of monster he was. Same song in a different octave.

feeling. like a nuisance. relying on ppl a lot right now physically and financially til my carpal tunnel surgery in november (hopefully) bc obv as a wheelchair person i can't do much w/o my hands. i feel like i keep fawning and going all meek and having to be extra grateful and be as small as possible and as pleasing as i can be all the fcking time and it's so exhausting. feeling like a burden. and when someone helps me but is visibly grumpy about it i literally want to explode. like my self worth falls down the drain and i want to disappear. i just want my autonomy back so bad. i'm losing my mind

Porter is absolutely trying to guide Fig into switching her paladin oath and warlock contract to the unnamed god of rage. Thank god Siobhan at least clocked the giant connection this episode. Ancestor oath? Ancestors who probably also worshipped the forgotten god? Ok sir. I don’t trust you as far as I can throw you.
The real answer for Fig, by the way, is not that she’s dedicated to Kristen or doubt or Cassandra or rebellion or rage. She’s dedicated to friendship, which is its own kind of contract and oath.
I think the IH finally noticed that random students having a deeply angry reaction to them is not a bit and may be mystery connected. The fact that Quincy started exhibiting rage after Fabian used Fig’s bardic also feels significant to me. I still think the curse is connected to wrath as much as pride, which also has its own hellish set of armor.
Brennan and Ally improvising as Buddy and Kristen was so good. The way that Brennan captured a kind of fundamentalist rejection of responsibility and Ally let Kristen’s anger and religious trauma shine through. It was really impressive. And I keep turning over the connection of unnamed god is associated with rage and summer- Sol is the god of the sun- Buddy lets Sol get angry for him. I don’t understand the connection yet but it’s there somehow.
Did everyone forget that learning how to plane shift into gems was literally a huge plot point of sophomore year? Where the hell is Ayda when you need her?
Lou made me laugh SO hard this episode with Fabian’s failed attempts at flirting with Mazey and his choice of poop punishment. Truly unhinged in the best way.
Baron in the preview for next week! I can’t wait.
This season is so good. I just love the way the themes are suffused through the mechanics (stress leads to rage) and the mystery and the role play. The pacing of the way clues are rolling out feels just right. Just *chefs kiss* all around.
