The way Grey just about kicked the door in would've startled Jason more if he wasn't already so used to it. They'd been living together for a year, his boyfriend's dramatic way of coming home from missions was welcomed background noise.

"Welcome back, how'd things go with the boss? Get those weird cultists off our property?" Jason asked, flipping another page in his book.

"Marry me."

"...what?"

"Marry me."

Jason looked up from his book, raising an eyebrow at Grey. Grey continued to stand in the doorway, blood that Jason was 90% sure wasn't his dripping from his clothes and a bandage on his cheek that wasn't there this morning, panting slightly. "What is happening?"

"I thought I already said, marry me."

"Love, you're acting weird."

"You know I'm weird it's why you love me, marry me."

Jason set his book down and stood from his chair, slowly approaching his boyfriend with a mounting concern. Sure, they'd talked about marriage before but when they were older! Not 20 and 24, barely out from under their debts to the mafia and working their way up the ladder still, this was insane!

"Grey, what happened out there?"

"Oh you know, the usual. Logan told them to get off our lawn, they started spouting their bullshit, we opened fire, they couldn't defend because the most intimidating weapon they have is a rock tied to a stick, one smacked me in the face, I realized I'd been way overthinking when the right time to propose is cause we work in the mafia and any day could be our last and I'd never be able to rest knowing I didn't spend as much time as possible with a ring on your finger telling the world I love you, came home, asked you to marry me. As I will again. Marry me." Grey rambled, barely pausing to breathe through his monolog until the end.

Jason blinked hard as the words registered, blue eyes staring into gray in an attempt to make sense of it all. Grey was usually the level-headed one in their relationship, Jason being more emotional and hot-tempered. They balanced each other out, it's what made everything work. So to see Grey acting so...out of character was just strange.

Jason took hold of Grey's face, tilting it to see if there were any other injuries, though from sounds of it there might’ve been some brain damage. "Did they get you anywhere else? Or just that they hit you so hard you're talking crazy?"

"I'm not crazy I just love you, marry me."

"You're absolutely crazy, normal Grey would never burst through our door talking like this."

"You make me crazy, marry me."

"Is that all you know how to say anymore?"

"Until you answer the question, yes."

"According to the laws of grammar, "marry me" isn't a question. It's a statement."

"Fine. Please marry me."

"Still not a question, love."

Grey narrowed his eyes at Jason who was smiling slightly too sweetly. "You're enjoying this, aren't you?"

Jason just laughed. "I don't know what you mean, Grey. I'm just waiting for you to actually ask me a question."

"Jason Anthony Collins, will you marry me?"

"Yes! Now was that so hard?"

He'd barely gotten the words out of his mouth before Grey crushed their lips together in a bruising kiss. Jason could only let out a muffled squeak of surprise, stumbling back until his back hit the kitchen counter. You would never hear Jason complain about his boyfriend, now fiance, using a little force but this was unprecedented.

By the time Grey let him breathe again, he was gasping for air, lips already a little swollen from being kissed stupid. "Well now...someone's a little excited." "Oh I'll show you excited, birdie."

Grey wrapped his hands around Jason's waist and easily lifted him, practically throwing him over his shoulder as he started off towards their bedroom.

"The neighbors are gonna complain again." Jason whined.

"Let them. So long as they all know you're mine."

Grey kicked the door to their room open and-

"OKAY! Okay! I don't need to know the details!" Jamie interrupted, face twisting in disgust.

Grey just shrugged with a smirk. "What? You asked, I was just giving you the story."

Jason elbowed his husband with a laugh. "Leave the boy alone, love. I think it's sweet that he asked. He doesn't need to know how you ravaged me for the rest of the night~"

Jamie fake gagged, covering his ears. "Gross! I don't need that mental image! I regret asking!"

Jason just watched as his son grappled with the image of his dads eventful night, twisting his wedding ring that had long since lost its shine. 20 years would do that. He looked up to find his husband watching him, the same blazing passion burning in them as they had the day he'd proposed. Jason raised a curious eyebrow at him. "What? What're you looking at?" "Oh, only the love of my life." "Sappy." "You like me sappy." "I do, I do."

Grey leaned down to nuzzle into his husband's hair, laying a soft kiss to his temple.

"I love you, Jason. Happy anniversary."

"I love you too, Grey. Until the stars burn out."

I was happy like 24 hours ago…I loved episodes 1-6 I really do…I just don’t understand why they couldn’t just….dedicate a lot of the episodes to Colin’s characterization. I don’t understand why they couldn’t focus on developing him knowing full well he gets a lot of hate in the fandom already. They barely scratched the surface of his insecurities and he didn’t even get enough orgasms ☠️☠️. What are we even doing here. I can’t cope…

HAPPY MAY THE 4TH Y'ALL!!

I'd like to tell yall a story.

As well all know, 3 years ago today The Bad Batch premiered. We were in the thick of Tritcale Harvest (like we are now lol). I was too excited to wait till I got home to watch. So I propped my phone up on the tractor steering colum, used my head phones, and watched the pilot while driving tractor. It was wonderful.

At the same time, my big red mare was over due to foal by two weeks. She could release the hostage at any time. I had checked on her at 4am when I left for the field, she showed no signs of foaling.

A surprise bout of rain at 10am shut us down that day. So I went home and drove out to check her just in case.

This is what I found

He was dry, standing and nursing. I'm guessing she had him not long after I had checked in the morning.

A perfect clone of his mother right down to the star on his head. After a few days, when he mother would nicker, he would too.

So of course he had to be named Echo❤️

In the same way I have loved this show over the past 3 years and watched the fandom grow, I watched Echo grow as well.

He is curious and kind. First to meet you at the gate when called. He is playful by nature, stealing hats, gloves, or anything else left unattended.

He is a fast learner with more try than any other horse iv started (and iv started a lot of colts)

Anyway

A few days ago, I once again left my house at 4am, propped my phone up on the tractor steering colum, and watched the series final the same way i did when it first aired. It was so bitter sweet.

Then as if it was meant to be, a suprise bout of rain hit at 10am, and shut us down again.

I figures I only had one choice.

A few days shy of his 3rd birthday, I put the first ride on my ARC trooper in training. I felt how he moves under saddle for the first time.

He is a horse that very few ranchers get to ride in their lifetime. He is brave in the face of the unknown. Calm in the chaos. Everything I want in a cow horse and then some. I can only imagine him 5 years down for road

My how he has grown into his name

Why did I feel the need to write all this?

While our favorite show has ended, Echo here will live another 25 years with me if I'm lucky.

And every time I swing my leg over him, I'll think of this wonderful fandom iv come to be apart of. Of the artists and writers who put their hearts and souls into their work for us to enjoy. I'll think of the amazing people I got the privilege to know and call friends. ❤️

I'll think of all the Echo posts. Funny and angsty alike.

So while the show my have come to a bitter sweet end.

In honor of school letting out, here's some Stanley Palatable predcanons for you. Expect more uploads for various fandoms soon <3

NARRATOR:

- He's the most stuck up pred you've ever met, but the most insistent on eating you.

- He refuses to eat you if you have shoes or a jacket on. He thinks they're "too dirty" and will refuse to even let you near his mouth.

- Adventure line tongue? Adventure line tongue! If you decide to follow the Adventure line, you may end up in a bit of a..situation.

- If you fall into something he may be eating or drinking, don't expect him to help you out. You're on your own now. Just hope you can avoid being eaten long enough to find a way out.

- Don't mention him eating you to anyone else because he'll just brush you off and get embarassed. "Oh dear where did you ever come up with a thing like that?" Before you're snatched up and shoved into his pocket.

- He uses the time he has you in his stomach to get things done. He's always making sure you're safe and not doing anything stupid- he rarely has time to work on the Parable or his writing. His best bet is just to swallow you down and take some time for himself.

- Biiig fan of fear/fearplay, even if you hate it. He's really bad at knowing just when to stop so he often does go overboard- but he tries his hardest to make up for it in any way he knows how afterwards.

- His stomach is either like the zen room or bright yellow! Depends on how he's feeling. It growls a lot- on purpose mostly. He thinks it "adds to the tone" when in reality it's just nice white noise.

STANLEY:

- Surprisingly worried pred, constantly prodding at his stomach to try and make sure that you're ok.

- Needs constant reassurance that you're fine and he tries to find different ways to talk to you since he can't speak.

- Mostly eats you to give you a break from The Narrator. He's gentle and quiet- something that The Narrator isn't. He genuinely enjoys being this close to you.

- Enjoys it when you rub the inside of his stomach!

- His stomach is a duller grey-ish pale yellow, it's not harsh on your eyes which is nice. His stomach doesn't growl as much and when it does it's pretty quiet.

- After he eats you, he tries to settle down in a place where he wouldn't move much. His chair, the break room, somewhere peaceful like that. He doesn't want to disturb the little bit of "alone time" that you get.

- She is a very no nonsense pred. She won't eat you without permission but she doesn't like it if you squirm or struggle.

- She mainly eats Mariella, but if you ask her politely enough and you catch her on a good day, she absolutely will eat you.

- Her stomach is a gentle blue-purple color and it's very quiet. Most of the time she'll gently hum while working, or make small conversation, but other than that it's silent.

- Sometimes she likes to gossip about The Narrator. Nothing harmful at all, just silly little quips about her "airhead" coworker.

- Sometimes she'll dangle you between her fingers (neatly manicured blue nails.. 😋) before she eats you. She's silly and indulgent sometimes.

MARIELLA:

(this is also mostly for me. I just. love women. a lot. 😭)

- THE YAPPER EVER. She will NOT shut up once she eats you. She sees this as an opportunity to talk and talk without any interruptions. She talks about everything. Hair, nails, the weather, her job- everything.

- Her stomach is pink! It's a muted pink but it's very nice. It growls a lot but not nearly as much as The Narrator's.

- Sometimes you'll just get picked up and eaten with no explanation and she'll start chatting away. It's mostly when she's bored and has nobody else to talk too.

- She's not one for fear but she does like to dangle and tease occasionally.

- Sometimes she won't even eat you, she'll just hold you in her mouth for awhile while she paints her nails or does makeup- or on the rare occasion that she actually gets stuff done, some paperwork.

- She'll fall asleep without explanation at times. One moment she'll be talking and the next she's fast asleep.

To begin. They would love (almost) each and every one of their fans. They would be very happy that so many people love them <3

If Darry ever found out he had fans he would honestly be so confused 😭 to him he's just. a guy who roofs houses and takes care of his family (I think he'd be sad by how many people think he's mean though. He tries his best ☹️)
